Self-driving car:
1. Take the Beijing-Shijiazhuang Expressway to Fangshan Exit, then Tuoli, National Highway 108, and turn right at Jiayukou Intersection toward Shijiaying (ticket price: RMB 60).
2. Take National Highway 109 to enter the scenic area from the Mentougou direction, and the destination is Zhangjiapu (ticket price 40 yuan).
3. Take National Highway 108 to Jiayukou without turning right, go straight to Longmentai Village, then go north to Simatai Village, and drive along the road to the entrance of the scenic area of Simatai Village. This place is called Baicaopan, also known as Fangshan World Geopark. After arriving at the entrance of the scenic area, take the scenic area sightseeing bus (40 yuan, round trip), walk about 15 kilometers to the top of the Wuzhi Peak, and then there is a wooden plank road leading to the big grassland. It takes about 1 hour to reach the big grassland. It is the easiest way to get to the grassland.

It is estimated that it took 2 hours to reach the Baihua meadow at the top of the mountain. Suddenly it was rainy and foggy, and suddenly the sun was scorching. Baihua Mountain Scenic Area is most famous for the Baihua Meadow on the top of the mountain, and it is the third highest peak in Beijing. So this mountain was put on the agenda. The climbing date is October 15th.
It is said that there are three entrances to Baihuacaodi, but I only found two this time. One is the hiking route. Search the name of the tourist attraction in Figure 1 and take the G109 route. It is about 4 kilometers from the parking lot to Baihuacaodi. If you don't want to climb the mountain, you can search the name of the second tourist attraction and take the G108 route. After arriving at the parking lot of the scenic spot, take the sightseeing bus up.
The north wind rolls the grass down, and snow flies in August. The weather turns cold. On October 9, several high-altitude peaks all snowed, so the temperature on the top of the mountain was relatively cold, and the rain and snow under the headlines had not melted. The roads in the scenic area are very well built, all of which are regular stone roads, and both sides have been reinforced, which makes it very pleasant to walk. There are trees all along the way. If you go there in summer, you can reduce a lot of sun exposure and preserve water. After reaching the top of the mountain, there are several days of wooden plank roads to go to several different scenic spots. Running east is not far from the top of the mountain where the weather observatory is located. Running west, you can walk all the way to the Baicaopan Scenic Area to see the building in Figure 8. In other words, you can go from Mentougou to Fangshan. The journey is not short, but the climb is not too much! Fangshan Baicaopan Scenic Area is obviously the highest peak of Baihua Mountain. When you walk to Baicaopan Scenic Area, it has stopped business and is under renovation. There is a restaurant in the scenic area and a single-sided viewing platform. Because of the high humidity, there is no scenery surrounded by mountains. There are three small wooden pavilions between the two scenic spots for rest.
In conclusion, it is better to go to Baihua Mountain from June to September, and July and August are the best. If you want to climb the mountain, it is quite strenuous. It is useful to bring some Red Bull, Monster Energy Drink, Snickers, and chocolate. 1-3 bottles of water. It took us 2 hours to climb to Baihua Meadow, and it took 6 hours to walk from Mentougou Scenic Area to Fangshan and then back to Mentougou.

He couldn't understand how we appeared from the abandoned road. Haha. It was quite thrilling. I actually climbed over the mountain and reached the main gate. I learned that it was not open now. The guard was surprised to hear that we came over from the other side of the mountain.
The stone road for climbing the mountain is well built with a moderate slope. You can walk in the shade of trees without being exposed to the sun. The air is good and the flower meadow on the top of the mountain is beautiful. I come here every year to clean my lungs.

A great place to enjoy flowers in spring and summer and red leaves in autumn. If you go up the mountain from Fangshan, you can drive to the top of the mountain. If you walk to the Hundred Flowers Meadow, it will take 2 hours to walk. A good place to escape the hustle and bustle, find a quiet place, and cleanse your lungs
Baihua Mountain is located at the junction of Mentougou District, Fangshan District and Hebei Province. It can be reached from all three places. From Mentougou, it is called Baihua Mountain, from Fangshan, it is called Baicaopan, and from Yesanpo, Hebei, it is called Baicaopan. The beautiful scenery here is on the meadow on the top of the mountain. In July and August every year, the meadow is full of flowers and the scenery is extremely beautiful. It is a good place worth visiting.

Take the 108 National Highway in Fangshan and drive towards Shijiaying to reach the South Gate of Baihua Mountain. The South Gate can directly drive to the top of the mountain, which is the main peak of Baihua Mountain. There are the aviation tower and temple on the top of the mountain. Be careful not to take the 108 National Highway!!! Otherwise, it will be a detour and you won't be able to reach the top of the mountain! Again, precautions:
1. It is now the end of August and the beginning of September. The mountain is more than 1,900 meters above sea level. It is much better during the day. There is sunshine, not very hot, and there are cool breezes. But you should also pay attention to sun protection! At 4 or 5 o'clock in the afternoon, the sun is about to set and the weather gradually becomes cooler. It is really cold at night! At night, it has reached the point of wearing long johns. It is recommended to bring cotton clothes and try not to wear shorts, because there are many branches and weeds on the road, which will scratch you!
2. Bring enough water, because there are not many places to get water on the mountain. If you stay overnight on the mountain, bring enough food, I didn’t see any shops on the mountain!
3. I only saw one hotel on the mountain, which is the hotel that everyone often calls the air-raid shelter. We came here with the intention of camping outside, so we did not stay in the hotel this time, but set up a tent. Because of the cold weather, fewer people set up tents now, so we found a parking lot to set up the tent, because it is closer to the bathroom. Because it was too cold at night and I didn’t bring enough clothes, I had to sleep in the car with the heater on, which was okay... The tent trip was ruined... Oh... It is recommended to set up a tent in July or August!
This side of Baihua Mountain is Mentougou, and the other side is Fangshan. I felt that I hadn’t finished climbing to Baicaodi, so I climbed for another 20 minutes towards Fangshan and reached the highest point of the mountain range. I felt that I could see all the other mountains. Unfortunately, there was a stranger next to me, so I was sorry for being too literary, haha.
The trip to Baihua Mountain was not easy. We agreed on the date in advance, but it rained for several days. We changed the date and agreed to go no matter what the weather was. On the morning of the day we went, the sky was overcast. Since we had made up our minds, we prepared our things and started to go. Our two cars drove onto National Highway 109. It was okay along the way, but it started to rain when we were about to reach the scenic area. Just when we were checking tickets at the entrance of the scenic area, heavy rain poured down. The two cars could only drive slowly. The fog rose on the road, and the car behind could not see the car in front, so we could only communicate with each other using a walkie-talkie. Hahaha, fortunately, the rain didn't last long and didn't affect my mood. I got off the car and started climbing the mountain. Baihua Mountain is located in Qingshui, Mentougou, and is rich in animal and plant resources. It is known as the "natural animal and plant garden" in North China. We went straight to Baihua Meadow in one day. Walking in the pine forest, the trees are lush and the slope is gentle. In the forest bathing area, you can listen to the pine waves and watch the sea of clouds, and enjoy the gift of nature. The beautiful scenery along the way unknowingly arrived at the meadow. At this time, the meadow was clear and the sky was high and the clouds were light, and the flowers were in full bloom. My mood also relaxed with the change of weather. Hahaha, the scenery on the mountain and below is so different. I once again sighed at the magic of nature. There were students from the Academy of Fine Arts painting nearby, and tourists were taking pictures. Oh, I was so tired. I sat on the wooden bridge and quietly admired it. I need to rest for a while to gather enough energy to prepare to go down the mountain. It’s still far to the parking lot.

Self-driving: Longquan Hotel - Junzhuang - National Highway 109 - turn right at Danli Tunnel - continue along National Highway 109 - Qingshui Town - there are road signs at the intersection of Baihua Mountain.

I went there on May 3rd, and a day trip was enough. The highway is a bit of a rip-off. There is National Highway 108 and a Provincial Highway 2**. On the way out from the city, you should take National Highway 108 first, then Provincial Highway 2**, which is a shortcut. On the way back, it is the opposite. Unfortunately, we chose the wrong way, and ended up taking a lot of detours. Of course, we also enjoyed more scenery. We were traveling with the elderly, so we entered the scenic area from the entrance of Miyun, because here you can drive to the middle of the mountain and then change to the internal transportation of the scenic area, and you can drive directly to the top of the mountain. It was so cold. But because it had just rained the day before, there were a few white clouds as light as cotton wool hanging in the blue sky, which was very beautiful. When I went down the mountain, a few snowflakes fell. The top of the mountain is not yet green, and many places are still withered and yellow, so I plan to revisit the old place in July and August to enjoy the summer scenery.
It is worth going in July and August. There are many beautiful flowers and you can play more on the meadow on the top of the mountain. The autumn scenery in September is also good. The sun shines through the clouds and it feels like Kanas.
