Built in imitation of the classic novel "Dream of Red Mansions", it is a comprehensive tourist area mainly for film and television shooting, with sightseeing, leisure, cultural and entertainment functions.
The scenery is elegant, with the style of a wealthy family's courtyard in the south of the Yangtze River, with pavilions, terraces, bridges and flowing water, which makes people feel relaxed and happy when walking among them.
The filming location of the 1987 CCTV version of the TV series Dream of the Red Chamber. Many buildings in the park are equipped with wax figures of characters from the Dream of the Red Chamber, imitating the life scenes in the book.

Beijing Grand View Garden is one of the filming locations of Dream of Red Mansions. Because my mother likes to watch Dream of Red Mansions, she specially arranged this attraction. My parents are free of charge. Today is the sixth day of the first lunar month. From the first to the fifth day of the first lunar month, there is a temple fair. This place is crowded with people. Today is the first day after the temple fair. It is much quieter. This is the most comfortable way to play.
The map is very vivid, so I took a picture of it so I can look at it while walking later.
It is temporarily cloudy today and the water in the park is still frozen.
I randomly found a building and entered from the back door. I walked through the corridor to the front door. It turned out that this was Yihong Courtyard, the residence of Jia Baoyu.
Each room has portraits of the characters in the Dream of the Red Chamber, and the corresponding character names are on the table. Then we came to Daiyu's boudoir. Then came the boudoirs of several Chun sisters. The staff here were cleaning up the garbage, which was left over from the temple fairs. The weather was cold, and a lot of the ground was frozen.
When we arrived at Xue Baochai's residence, there were no green plants there, only various vines and strange rocks.
Soon we were done with the tour and came to the lakeside. A local was playing with a toy that looked like a dragon. The more people watched, the happier he was.
We arrived at the provincial villa. Some of the costumes of the two versions of the Dream of the Red Chamber were displayed on both sides, as well as various sculptures.
The pavilions, towers, waterside gardens were built according to the "Dream of Red Mansions", and various plants were planted according to the scene. Pines, cypresses, plums and bamboos dotted the pavilions, giving the place different scenery in each season.
The Grand View Garden on May Day is really beautiful, with a new view at every step. Although it is not a AAA scenic spot, it is really worth a visit.
I went to Xiaoxiang Pavilion and Yihong Courtyard during the Spring Festival temple fair. Each courtyard was very compact and felt a little small. However, although the sparrow is small, it has everything. The iconic courtyards have
Beijing Grand View Garden is an ancient garden that recreates the landscape of the Grand View Garden in the famous Chinese classical literature "Dream of Red Mansions". It is located in Nancaiyuan, Xuanwu District. The original site was the royal vegetable garden of the Ming and Qing dynasties, and the "Jiashu Office" was set up here in the Ming Dynasty.
In 1984, for the filming of the TV series "Dream of Red Mansions", the garden was built according to the author's description in the book, using the techniques of Chinese classical architecture and traditional garden art, after discussions among Redologists, ancient architects, landscape architects and Qing Dynasty history experts. The garden's garden architecture, mountain-shaped water systems, plant landscapes, and small decorative items all strive to be faithful to the era style and detailed descriptions of the original work, and it is also the filming location for the 1987 CCTV version of the TV series "Dream of Red Mansions".
Compared with other gardens, the ticket price for Grand View Garden is really expensive.
Beijing Grand View Garden, located on Nancaiyuan West Street, Xicheng District, Beijing, is a comprehensive tourist area that mainly provides film and television shooting services, and also has sightseeing, cultural entertainment, leisure and vacation functions. It is listed as a national AAA-level tourist attraction[1] and was built in 1984.
Super beautiful scenic spot, must recommend, with mountains, water and history
We went there in mid-October. The autumn colors in the courtyard were beautiful, with Xiaoxiang Pavilion being the most beautiful. There were also wild ducks and wild cats in the garden, but they were not very scared of people. It is obvious that a lot of effort was put into the design of the Grand View Garden. It does not occupy a large area but there are scenery everywhere.
Very beautiful, I want to come again, the ticket is 40 yuan
Bad review! Bad review! Bad review! Such a big attraction doesn't have luggage storage service. The staff's attitude is very bad. I am a disabled person carrying a large suitcase. There are either steps or gravel roads in the park. They just can't accommodate the luggage. Don't bring a large bag when you come to play next time, or don't come. It really makes me angry!
It was quite hot those days, but many places in the Grand View Garden were very cool and the garden was very unique. I searched for Lin Daiyu's garden for a long time, and when I saw the bamboo, I felt that I should have arrived 😂😂 I was not disappointed. Xiaoxiang Pavilion was not far from the entrance.
The place where the rich and powerful used to squander their money has now become a tourist attraction that integrates the academic knowledge of the Dream of the Red Chamber, ancient architectural techniques, and the essence of traditional garden art. Jia Bao's Yihong Courtyard, Lin Daiyu's Xiaoxiang Pavilion, the imperial concubine's villa, etc., all show the artistic conception of the Dream of the Red Chamber. Daiyu buried the flowers, and once spring is over, her beauty will grow old. The flowers fall and people die without knowing it. All beautiful things will be more beautiful because they are short-lived. Spring is easy to pass, and youth is hard to keep.
The red-painted mansion is full of spring colors. The Grand View Garden, with its carved beams and painted buildings, winding corridors, lush flowers and trees, and rippling blue water, fully displays the artistic conception of the Red Mansion. As you move, you can see Jia Baoyu's Yihong Courtyard, Lin Daiyu's Xiaoxiang Pavilion, Xue Baochai's Hengwu Garden, Princess Yuan's villa for visiting relatives, Tanchun's Qiu Shuang Zhai, Li Wan's Daoxiang Village, as well as the Grand View Tower, Longcui Temple, Dicui Pavilion, Ziling Island, Qinfang Pavilion, and winding paths leading to secluded places.
"A winding path leads to a secluded place" was titled by Jia Baoyu based on the line from a poem by Tang Dynasty poet Chang Jian: "A winding path leads to a secluded place, where a Zen room is surrounded by flowers and trees."
A plaque with the words "Yihong Kuailü" is hung in Yihong Courtyard. "Red" refers to the crabapple tree on the west side of the gate, and "green" refers to the banana tree on the east side.
The exterior of Lin Daiyu's study in Xiaoxiang Pavilion is covered with mottled bamboos. The phrase "a thousand tears on a bamboo" fits the tearful and sentimental character of "Empress Xiaoxiang".
The filming location of Dream of Red Mansions is very large. It is a must-see for Red Mansions researchers. There are not many tourists. Tickets are 40 yuan. There are opera performances at designated locations in the scenic area.
There are many small red lanterns hanging, which feels like visiting a garden. There were quite a few people when I went there at around 4 o'clock, and the garden closed at 5 o'clock. The stalls in the garden were still busy. Beijing snacks didn't seem to attract me. If I brought my children, I would have to eat non-stop, haha. I went there for the territories of those young ladies and young masters, but Lin Daiyu's Xiaoxiang Pavilion was very difficult to find, and the sign always disappeared in an inexplicable place. Finally, I saw a piece of bamboo and guessed that it should be here, facing the Yihong Courtyard in the distance. The entrance is a winding corridor, shaded by green bamboo, and the scenery should be better in summer. Xue Baochai's Hengwu Garden is very cold and has no sense of vitality. It is just rockery and bamboo, without the embellishment of flowers and plants. Yihong Courtyard must be the largest, although many people have single doors and courtyards, but the owner of this garden is obviously the most favored by the old lady. There are not many things in it now, after all, it is not as good as the furnishings in the house at that time, so please visit with imagination
For those who love to read Dream of the Red Chamber, the Grand View Garden is a must-visit. Walking in the courtyard while recalling the classic scenes and dialogues in the book or TV series, you will definitely enjoy the feeling of being there.
I went there in winter and the staff was really attentive. All the plants were tied with fake branches. It was incredible even from a distance. I saw a few girls in ancient costumes posing in the cold wind.
It's good for understanding Dream of the Red Chamber, but there are too many tourists.
I think the Grand View Garden in spring is a must-visit place in Beijing. It is so beautiful.
The plum blossoms in the Grand View Garden's Longcui Temple are a wonderful topic in the book. The winter plum blossoms in the Grand View Garden are now in bloom. I come here every year for the winter plum blossoms, and by the way, I'll take a look at the residences of the ladies.
The scenery is nice, and the key point is that the most classic version of Dream of Red Mansions was filmed here. Located at No. 12 Nancaiyuan Street, Xicheng District, it is the filming location of the 1987 TV series Dream of Red Mansions. The original site was the royal vegetable garden of the Ming and Qing dynasties. It was built in 1984 for the filming of the TV series Dream of Red Mansions. After the filming was completed, it was opened to the public. The scenic area reproduces the style of the official garden in Dream of Red Mansions written by the literary master Cao Xueqin. It is luxurious and magnificent. If you have a deep impression of Dream of Red Mansions, you will find it very interesting.
I went there with my mom. I haven't watched the old version of Dream of the Red Chamber much, but my mom told me that this is where Dream of the Red Chamber was filmed, so she was looking forward to seeing it. We went there during the Spring Festival, and it happened to be the temple fair. There were so many people that my mom and I were almost squeezed apart.
We went to various young ladies' boudoirs and took a look around. They were OK, just some old-fashioned houses and furnishings. The back garden was nice, with beautiful scenery. Later, we ran into a performance at the Grand View Garden, so we watched it for a while in front of the Grand View Tower. However, there were too many people, and they kept squeezing forward, so we left early for fear of being stepped on...
The fragrance of plum blossoms floats
Starting from the beginning of February, on the west side of the door of the Buddhist temple in the north wing of Longcui Temple in the Grand View Garden, several red-hearted wintersweets bloomed bravely against the cold and frost.
The petals of red-heart wintersweet are slightly pointed than those of white-heart wintersweet, the stamens are red with purple, and the fragrance is unusual and more intense.
I went to the Grand View Garden twice and I liked it very much, especially Lin Daiyu's Xiaoxiang Pavilion, which was really unique.
It's worth watching. The 1987 TV series was very well made.
I visited the Grand View Garden more than 20 years ago when I was a junior high school student. Because I loved "Dream of the Red Chamber", I thought it was very big and beautiful. But when I went there recently, I felt that every courtyard in the garden was very shabby. Some courtyards had even become parking lots. There were also a lot of stray cats. It was not as well maintained as other parks. The 40 yuan ticket and the scenery in the garden were really too expensive.
I went to the Grand View Garden twice, once when it was raining and once when it was sunny, once when it was deserted and once when it was crowded. The two times gave me very different feelings, but the Grand View Garden was still the same Grand View Garden.
The location of Daguan Garden is quite remote. If you want to visit it, it will take most of the day including transportation. There is no subway station around the garden. It is best to take the bus. Bus No. 59, 819, 717, 122, 721, 806, 939 and 816 all have Daguan Garden Station.
I believe that everyone is familiar with "Dream of Red Mansions". The only difference is the degree of familiarity and love. Friends who like "Dream of Red Mansions" (especially the 1987 version) will not be disappointed by this garden. People who are not interested in "Dream of Red Mansions" can also regard it as a beautifully designed park. The Grand View Garden is not too big or too small. Most of the places mentioned in the book can be found here.
I entered the garden from the west gate both times. After entering the garden, Baoyu's Yihong Courtyard and Miaoyu's Longcui Temple were on the right, which is consistent with the book saying that Baoyu's residence is closest to Longcui Temple. Compared with the bustling tourists in Yihong Courtyard, Miaoyu's place is much quieter. Longcui Temple is very simply furnished, with a Buddha statue in the main hall, and a faint smell of incense in the whole courtyard.
The first sentence is: if you really like the Red Mansion, you must come. If you don't like it, don't come here specially. You won't see any Chinese classical architecture or scenery. It exists purely for the Red Mansion.
I don't know if it's the way to get in 😂, Yihong Courtyard is the easiest to find. It also appears a lot in the 1987 version, basically the same. The stone in front of the courtyard is particularly impressive. Next to Yihong Courtyard is Longcui Temple. I don't know if it's because no one goes there or it's been renovated. It feels well protected and looks new. Among the Twelve Golden Hairpins, Pin'er is needless to say, and Miaoyu is second. But the quality of gold and jade eventually fell into the mud.
Walking further in, you will reach the villa for relatives, which is the center of the Grand View Garden. There are many ducks in the lake, and there are many fat cats in Huaxu. Then I went to Daoxiang Village and Qiu Shuang Zhai. Although many people like the Third Girl, I don’t have a deep impression of her. The same goes for Li Wan. I just had a quick visit. However, I like the architectural style of Qiu Shuang Zhai very much.
I found Xiaoxiang Pavilion by looking at the navigation. The three words were not very clear, and Daiyu's wax figure was also moved away. But the charm is still there. Listening to "Wang Ningmei" while walking is really tear-jerking. If there is no fate, I met him again in this life. If there is no fate, how can my heart be in vain.
I like the dialogue between Baoyu and Daiyu in the Red Mansion the most.
"You don't have to coax me. From now on, I won't dare get close to Second Master, and Second Master will treat me as he is."
"Where are you going?"
"I'm going home."
"I followed you."
"I'm dead."
"If you die, I will become a monk."
Hengwu Garden is the most remote one, and it is hard for me to find it, but it is quite impressive. The wax figure of Baochai inside is also quite similar.
The garden closes at 5:30, and I almost left at the right time. There was almost no one there, and it was very quiet. I went out through the door of Longcui Temple, and looked back at the plaque of Grand View Garden.
It's like when all the birds have eaten and fly back to the forest, leaving the earth clean and white!
The filming location of the first version of Dream of Red Mansions, now a park
I remember that there used to be wax figures in every courtyard, but now the Grand View Garden is more like a place for local residents to relax. Some people practice Tai Chi here, some practice musical instruments, and some old men just lie in the shade of the trees for an afternoon nap. As for me, I came here to appease the Dream of the Red Chamber complex in my heart... There are not many tourists, which is more in line with my dream-seeking mood.
This place is neither good nor bad, it depends on the individual. If you like Dream of the Red Chamber, then come here. If you don't like it, don't come just for the scenery. I have been to the Grand View Garden three times. The two times I came to the Grand View Garden were because I read Dream of the Red Chamber and couldn't forget the plot and story in it, so I decided to visit here to find the feeling in the book, but the two times were different. One time was when I was still relatively immature, and the other was when I had a deeper understanding of the plot. The third time I came with my children and told them the stories in the book. This time I came very easily.
The cultural attractions were all built in the 1980s. If you go in spring or autumn, the scenery should be better than in summer.
I went there for the villa and the Yihong Kuailv mentioned by Baoyu. I was a little disappointed with the villa, but the wide view in front of the door was beautiful. The flowers are in full bloom.
The fifth day is the last day of the temple fair. There will be excerpts of the play Eight Treasures Soup, Silang Visits His Mother, Princess Yuan's Visit to Her Parents, Granny Liu's high-wire performance, the Golden Rooster Heralding Spring puppet show, and a folk art exhibition... It's lively and festive!
The ticket to Grand View Garden is 40 yuan, and it is not close to other attractions, nor is it convenient. In summer, there are still many tour groups coming to Grand View Garden. If you come to Beijing without a plan to visit Grand View Garden, you can read my travel notes to appreciate the beauty of Grand View Garden.
Tickets for the Grand View Garden Temple Fair are relatively expensive, 40 yuan each. There are scalpers at the door who can sell them cheaper, but the Grand View Garden is too small. However, I saw a lot of performances this year and there were fewer stalls selling things, so it felt pretty good.
Recalling the Dream of the Red Chamber, entering various ancient rooms
People who have a certain understanding of Dream of the Red Chamber can come here, but for those who are not familiar with Dream of the Red Chamber, it is recommended not to come, as there is probably nothing to see. There are more elderly people visiting here, and it may be because of winter, there are few tourists.
However, for those who have studied Dream of the Red Chamber or students in school who are studying the relevant texts of Dream of the Red Chamber, coming here is a good choice. Here, the scenes in Dream of the Red Chamber are presented, such as Xiaoxiang Pavilion and Yihong Courtyard. When I read Dream of the Red Chamber before, I didn’t draw the specific scenes of the venues in my mind when I looked at what was written in the book. Now I am in it, imagining the scenes and sentences in the book, and everything seems clear. Of course, you can also review Dream of the Red Chamber first and then come here.
I haven't read the Red Mansion. It is said to be a one-to-one restoration of the original novel. Maybe because it is lonely in winter and there are few tourists, it is still far from my imagination of the prosperity of the Grand View Garden in the past.
If you haven't been there, you might think the garden is huge, but it may not be the case in person. However, the courtyards of wealthy families are also full of small bridges, flowing water, carved beams and painted buildings!
The scenery of the Grand View Garden is very beautiful. Granny Liu is very funny and quiet, very suitable for spring outings
I personally like Dream of the Red Chamber very much. If you go to Beijing, you must visit the Grand View Garden. The value of each courtyard is very similar to the feeling in the book.
Suitable for the elderly, nothing special, suitable for the elderly to walk around, play badminton or something
Because I have been to Beijing too many times, I don’t want to go to crowded places. When spring comes and flowers bloom, I go to the Grand View Garden. It’s great and there are very few tourists.
In fact, I admit that I have not read Dream of the Red Chamber, whether it is the TV series or the book. This is also the only book that I cannot get into no matter how determined I am. Maybe it is too trivial, so trivial that it makes my back ache.
But this does not stop me from visiting these attractions, such as the Yihong Courtyard where Jia Baoyu lives, which is magnificent and full of the scent of cosmetics; the Xiaoxiang Pavilion where Lin Daiyu lives, with its thousands of green bamboos and cool breezes through the secluded windows; and the Gu En Si Yi Hall where Concubine Yuan stayed when she came to visit her parents, which is royal, elegant and luxurious.
The garden is filled with pavilions, terraces, winding corridors, luxuriant flowers and trees, rippling blue waves, the sound of deer singing, cranes dancing, peacocks spreading their feathers, fish leaping in the water, and ducks and geese chirping, fully displaying the artistic conception of the Red Mansion.
Yes, maybe these dry words can’t make you feel anything, but don’t worry, pictures tell the truth.
This is a tourist attraction worth visiting, and there is a direct bus here, which is very convenient. But be sure to bring water before going there, as water is a little expensive around here.
The Grand View Garden was built by Jia's family for Yuanchun's visit to her parents in the Dream of the Red Chamber. Yuanchun named the garden "Grand View Garden" and the plaque in the main hall reads "Guan's Grace and Yi". After the Lantern Festival visit, Yuanchun ordered Baoyu and Zhuchai to live in the garden.
This garden was built for the filming of the 1987 version of the TV series "Dream of Red Mansions". Xiaoxiang Pavilion and Hengwu Garden are quiet and elegant, and the most beautiful. Qiu Shuang Zhai, Yihong Courtyard, Longcui Temple, Zhuijin Tower, Nuanxiangwu, Daoxiang Village, Aojingxi Pavilion, Tubi Villa, Ouxiangxie, Dicui Pavilion, etc. are all there. Each courtyard has a wax statue of its owner and servants. Although it is not as exquisite as Madame Tussauds, it can be seen that it is made according to the appearance of the actor who portrayed the role at that time. The pavilions and towers in the garden are scattered and the poems and couplets are just as described in the book~ In midsummer, the plants and trees in the garden compete for beauty, especially the lotus, which is beautiful~ The museum has a collection of clay sculptures of Red Mansion characters and models of the scenes of the Yuanfei's visit to her parents. Scan the WeChat QR code to get a voice guide to introduce the story of each courtyard in "Dream of Red Mansions".
A garden on the South Third Ring Road in Beijing was built based on the description of Dream of the Red Chamber. It was originally used to film the 1984 TV series Dream of the Red Chamber. Compared with other royal gardens in Beijing, it is smaller, but it contains all the elements of the Grand View Garden. Yihong Courtyard, Xiaoxiang Pavilion, Hengwu Garden, etc., all have allusions to the famous novel.
This was our first time to the Grand View Garden. We entered from the South Gate. The garden environment was quite nice and we felt we had found another exquisite place.
A Dream in a Red Mansion is the 1987 version of Dream of the Red Mansions, which reproduces scenes from Dream of the Red Mansions. The scenes in Dream of the Red Mansions are no longer in the fantasy world in the book or in the mind, but are well known in reality. Baoyu's Yihong Courtyard, Daiyu's Xiaoxiang Pavilion, Baochai's Wuheng Courtyard, Tanchun's Qiu Shuang Zhai, Li Wan's Daoxiang Village, etc., are all reproduced before our eyes. Walking through the Grand View Garden not only evokes childhood memories, but also gives us a sense of surprise of exploring the mystery. Step by step, it corresponds to the scenes of the Grand View Garden in Dream of the Red Mansions, giving people a joy that something that was originally untouchable is suddenly within reach.
This Grand View Garden in Beijing was specially built for the filming of the 1987 version of Dream of the Red Chamber. Compared with the Grand View Garden in Shanghai, it lacks the style of the Jiangnan water village and is more dignified and majestic like northern folk houses. Although the building looks a bit rough now, it was already quite exquisite by the standards of 1984. (Speaking of this, I think of the bitterness of Journey to the West in 1986.)
Soon after entering the park, we found that compared with tourists from other places like us, there were more Beijing residents in the Grand View Garden. It seemed that for them, this place was not a tourist attraction, but more like a park. Parents brought their children to appreciate the flowers, and the elderly came to take a walk, which was quite leisurely.
Looking at the explanations and familiar place names on the introduction board, the scene in front of me gradually corresponded to the plot of the Dream of the Red Chamber. The reason why I chose the Grand View Garden is that it is not a big tourist attraction and there will not be too many people, and secondly, it is because of my love for the Dream of the Red Chamber. Although I dare not call myself a fan of the Dream of the Red Chamber, how can I miss the opportunity to be there in person?
The Grand View Garden was built in 1984 for the filming of the TV series "Dream of Red Mansions". It is located in Nancaiyuan, Xicheng District (formerly Xuanwu District). It is a park with cultural heritage where you can enjoy the flowers and scenery while appreciating the Red Mansion.
I basically come here every year during the temple fair. Tickets are 40 yuan each. Parking is not easy at the entrance, so it is best to go early in the morning.
The temple fair every year is the busiest time in Grand View Garden. On both sides of the main road as you enter the entrance are stalls selling folk arts, including painters, candy figurine blowers, and various craftsmen. Further in are various stalls. The more distinctive ones are candied haws, fried tripe, and noodle soup. The prices are all around ten yuan, which is not expensive for a temple fair. After all, it is just for fun.
While eating, you can walk further inside, and take a look around Yihong Courtyard, Xiaoxiang Pavilion, Hengwu Courtyard, Shengqin Villa, Qiushuangzhai, Daoxiang Village, Longcui Temple, Daguan Tower, Zilingzhou, etc. Most of the houses have restored the scenes of Dream of Red Mansions. The pavilions and towers are hung with big red lanterns, which are prosperous and festive. There will be performances on the stage, and you must come down to watch. There will also be the Princess Yuan's visit to her parents. Granny Liu is very attractive and very active in the team.
The garden is not particularly large, but there are attractions everywhere, enough to spend a day. While walking around the garden, I recalled the stories in the book and thought about the joys and sorrows in the TV series. It really felt like I was there.
A garden built in the 1980s for the filming of the TV series "Dream of Red Mansions".
It's not bad, but the portraits inside are not very good looking
Beijing Grand View Garden was built in 1984. It was initiated by some Redologists, ancient architects, landscape architects and Qing Dynasty history experts for the TV series Dream of the Red Chamber. It is said that all the landscapes in the garden, regardless of size, were built according to the description in Cao Xueqin's novel Dream of the Red Chamber, using Chinese classical architectural techniques and traditional gardening techniques.
The Grand View Garden is located in a remote area and there are not many tourists, but it was built with great care. Whether it is the porch carvings or the garden paths, they are all very delicate, unlike some of the rough and terrible antique buildings nowadays. In some exquisite and elegant corners, you may even forget that this is a building built in the 1980s, which makes people feel like they are in a historic garden. People who have watched the TV series "A Dream of Red Mansions" can identify most of the scenes in this garden one by one. Baoyu's Yihong Courtyard is particularly familiar, and the four characters "Yihong Kuailv" on the lintel are also talked about by people. Daiyu's Xiaoxiang Pavilion is exquisite and exquisite, with winding paths leading to secluded places. Tanchun's Qiushuangzhai is grand and regular, with a style of kings and generals. Li Wan's Daoxiang Village, a row of pastoral scenery, is a unique scenery in the Grand View Garden and a good place to live in seclusion.
What shocked me the most was Baochai's Hengwu Courtyard. I couldn't hold it as soon as I entered the door. Haha, the whole yard was almost filled with rockery, leaving only a path winding to the residence. The rockery was covered with lush vines, and the whole yard was shaded by green. Lin Daiyu's residence was also shaded by bamboo leaves, quiet and remote, but at least it looked like someone lived there, while in Baochai's place, the yard was completely deserted and no one cleaned it. It was really magical that Baochai lived here. Baochai is really a difficult character to understand. It is obviously incomplete to only regard her as the opposite of Daiyu. There are too many things in her that are incomprehensible.
Every major residence has a wax figure of the owner, and most of these wax figures are modeled after the characters in the TV series. Baochai's wax figure is so lifelike that she looks almost exactly like the actor herself.
The 1987 version of Dream of Red Mansions can be said to be a classic among classics. My classmate also went in to visit it when he passed by. This was built for the 1987 version of Dream of Red Mansions. We visited and recalled Dream of Red Mansions while it was very artistic. In many places, there are always some shots that get into our minds, and many scenes are vivid. It is very delicately built here, with pavilions, towers, bridges and flowing water. The Grand View Garden is not big, and it is enough to take a quick look for 1 hour. It is also enough to have 2-3 hours to appreciate it carefully. If you have a plot of Dream of Red Mansions, you must come and see it, it is worth it.
The main entrance of the Grand View Garden is the one facing You'anmen Street, the South Gate. The electronic tickets purchased online can be redeemed on the left side of the gate, that is, on the east side, and you need to call up the QR code page. There are Peking Opera enthusiasts performing in the pavilion in the backyard of Yihong Courtyard, which is worth listening to. It is recommended to take a map of the park, the kind with numbers, and you can basically walk through the whole tour according to the numbers! There are many toilets in the park, just bring toilet paper. There are performances on the big stage of the Shengqin Villa, which are free. If you like jade, you can also go to the Shengqin Villa to participate in the auction! Walk slowly, three hours is enough! Finally, go out from the West Gate or pass Yihong Courtyard and go out from the South Gate. The last suggestion is that it is best to watch the Dream of Red Mansions in its entirety before coming back!
The Grand View Garden, the filming location of Dream of Red Mansions, has a very ordinary scenery. It is quite big inside, but not special. The only thing is the Grand View Tower, which is a landmark and you can take photos. You need a ticket, 20 yuan per ticket, and you can just visit it as a normal park. Unless you have a strong Red Mansion complex and know the stories in every detail here, I really don’t recommend visiting it as a tourist attraction. 20 yuan is a bit expensive, and it doesn’t feel worth it.
When I mentioned the Grand View Garden, the only thing I could think of was Granny Liu. I knew nothing else, not even that it was in Beijing.
It's about a ten-minute walk. The Grand View Garden is not a famous attraction. We went there because it's close. The ticket price of 40 is considered expensive in Beijing. It's the filming location of the 1987 version of "Dream of Red Mansions". I heard that "The Legend of Zhen Huan" was also filmed here, so the girls are still interested. There are not many people playing in the Grand View Garden. It is a quiet place. Of course, the poisonous mosquitoes also welcome our arrival. Both of us were wearing shorts and were bitten horribly. It was extremely itchy and painful, so we must wear long pants, long pants, and long pants.
This is a must-visit place for friends who like Dream of the Red Chamber. Although it was built later, it is a good place to learn about Dream of the Red Chamber!
Beijing Grand View Garden is the filming location of the 1987 version of "Dream of Red Mansions" and was built for the filming of this TV series. It is a very distinctive classical garden in Beijing. Within an area of 13 hectares, there are more than 40 pavilions, Buddhist temples and courtyards, with mountain-shaped water systems, flowers and famous trees, cranes and deer, just like a fairyland on earth. It integrates the three traditional gardening arts, creates a new model of combining film and television scenery with garden construction, adds new content of "famous book garden" to the Chinese garden industry, creates potential cultural heritage, is a Red Mansion culture (art) museum, and is also a real cultural relic a hundred years later. The artistic charm and profound value of the Grand View Garden have been widely recognized by the society. Beijing Grand View Garden is eager for many Red Mansion dreamers to come and see it in person.
There are also dummies dressed up as characters from the Dream of the Red Chamber in each courtyard.
There are relatively few tourists in the Grand View Garden. If you are interested in the Dream of the Red Chamber, you may want to visit the Yihong Courtyard where Baoyu lives.
Although the courtyard is planted with crabapple trees and banana trees to reflect the "red and green"
I like Dream of Red Mansions, so I went here to watch it. But it's still good. You can go and have a look. The ticket is not expensive. I bought a student ticket for 20 yuan. The place may not be easy to find, but with a mobile phone in hand, it's not a problem to search for a map route or something.
Beijing's royal garden is located in Xuanwu District. If you are attracted by the love story of Baoyu and Daiyu in Dream of the Red Chamber, you must not miss this place. It reproduces the "Grand View Garden" scene in the Chinese classical literature masterpiece Dream of the Red Chamber. Many scenes of this year's TV program Ding Ge Long Dong Qiang were shot here. This place has its own beauty all year round. Their business hours are 7:30-16:30, and the ticket price is 40 yuan. If you book online, it will be cheaper, 25 yuan. Bus lines: 122, 351, 395, 56, 59, and Special 3 can all get there. The transportation is very convenient. There is a Donglaishun nearby, which is a famous snack in Beijing with moderate prices.
The garden was built according to the description of Dream of the Red Chamber. I particularly like the plants and trees here. I go there several times a year. I enjoy different things in different seasons. The lilac flowers in spring are especially fragrant.
I went to the Grand View Garden in winter. It was a different feeling.
I think it's worth a visit. The lotus pond here is very big and the lotus flowers are beautiful!
The scenery of the garden is very beautiful, and there are not many people on weekends.
Because I am a fan of "Red" I decided to visit this park built for the filming. As netizens said, the construction cost was low and it has been in disrepair for many years. The inside has long been dilapidated, which adds a bit of the desolate atmosphere of the Jia family after the confiscation of their property. Fortunately, the lotus flowers are blooming, and there are many old people singing and drinking tea, which makes it more like a park. However, each courtyard corresponds to the original work, which is somewhat interesting. Of course, if you are not a fan of "Red", don't come. Even I feel sorry for the 40 yuan ticket.
Not bad, you can go and have a look, there are many lotus ponds inside
Overall it's pretty good. When I went there, I happened to see some models taking photos, so I took some photos as well. There are often some female college students wearing ancient costumes hanging out there.
Beijing Grand View Garden is a famous cultural garden that reproduces the landscape of the "Grand View Garden" in the famous Chinese classical literature "Dream of Red Mansions". It was designed and built by experts and scholars in the fields of Redology, ancient architecture, gardens, Qing history, folk customs, etc. It can be said to be a building that is closest to the ideal Grand View Garden. Its predecessor was the royal vegetable garden of the Ming and Qing dynasties. The "Jia Shu Office" was set up here in the Ming Dynasty. After entering, it really feels like Liu Laolao entering the Grand View Garden for the first time. Compared with the imperial garden, this is more in line with the aesthetics of the Central Plains Han people in the Jiangnan water town. Pavilions, farmhouses, and Buddhist temples reproduce the living landscape and clan aesthetics of a prosperous family. You can take many buses in the city to get there directly. The ticket price is 40 yuan. The geographical location is relatively remote, but it also brings a sense of tranquility and remoteness to this boutique Grand View Garden, and you can imagine that the stories written by Cao Xueqin, which are full of absurd words, happened in such a beautiful scenery.
The Grand View Garden I visited with my daughter last year was not as good as it used to be. Although the scenery remained the same, the courtyards were gradually becoming dilapidated and deserted, just like in "Dream of the Red Chamber". Is this garden going to have the same fate?
This was the filming base for the 1987 Dream of the Red Chamber. Many of the scenes have been preserved. If you like Dream of the Red Chamber, you can’t miss it.
The park was newly built for the filming of the 1987 version of A Dream of Red Mansions. It is very beautiful in spring. Although it is not as beautiful as other historical parks in Beijing, I still like it very much.
Opening hours: 7:30-17:30 Tickets: 40 yuan, half price for students. It is relatively expensive among the attractions in Beijing.
My route was to enter from the west gate and then go around the park counterclockwise. The temperature in Beijing was rising suddenly, the peach blossoms were finally in full bloom, the sun was shining brightly, and the transition from cold winter to early summer was completed in an instant.
It was about 1:30 in the afternoon, the sun was shining brightly, and there was a special performance for May Day in the garden, and many people went to watch it. It was acrobatics, magic, face changing, etc. After watching for a while, I left and took the opportunity to quickly tour the garden while everyone was watching the fun.
The filming location of the 1986 version of Dream of Red Mansions. It contains scenes from the TV series. You can go and see it if you have time.
The scenery is quite good.
The park provides costume rental and photo taking services...
I have to say here that the Grand View Garden is really a tourist attraction where words are very precious. There are almost no road signs, very few introductions to the attraction, and it is not well maintained. People who have read "A Dream of Red Mansions" will be very disappointed with the Grand View Garden, and people who have not read "A Dream of Red Mansions" will not be interested in "A Dream of Red Mansions" after visiting the Grand View Garden.
It's really not sincere~
Spring has its enchanting beauty, and autumn has its dazzling charm. The trees in the Grand View Garden are so beautiful, with many different shapes and colors. You can see the scenery wherever you look. I didn't expect that in the late autumn and early winter, there would still be such a pleasant scenery. People couldn't help but stare at it and were reluctant to leave.
I think it is very beautiful. Although there are many attractions that cannot be associated with the scenes in the TV when I first entered, the Grand View Garden is really beautiful. The ticket is 40, and it is 33 on China-TravelNote. I am not a person who likes to study Dream of the Red Chamber, but I still like it very much. I can cry when watching TV series and comics, so I have a special complex about Dream of the Red Chamber. Everyone's room in the Grand View Garden has its own characteristics, and you can also experience the characteristics of these characters. The lake that comes out of the villa is really beautiful, beautiful enough to make people intoxicated. There are not many people in the Grand View Garden, which is especially suitable for taking pictures, and also especially suitable for people to relax, very quiet and comfortable.
