Beijing Huguang Guild Hall was built in 1807 and is located in the southwest corner of Hufang Bridge, Xuanwu District. It is adjacent to Hufang Road in the east, Luomashi Street in the north, Beijing Workers Club in the south, and residential areas in the west. The current address is No. 3 Hufang Road. It is a complex of buildings with carved beams and painted buildings, polished bricks and green walls. It presents the splendor of the inner courtyard of the imperial palace, but also has the style of a royal palace. Huguang Guild Hall is a hometown guild hall established by people from Hunan and Hubei provinces in Beijing to keep in touch with their hometowns. It is mainly used for fellow villagers to stay or get together. It has a history of 200 years. It is one of the only famous guild halls in Beijing with a theater. It is also the first guild hall to be restored according to the original layout and open to the public.

There are also Bayi Food Street and Chaotianmen, which are now added. I didn't take a photo of the Food Street, and the Ciqi Street is under construction.

I often go to Huguang Guild Hall for dinner recently. The food is good. I can also listen to crosstalk at the same time, which is not expensive. I didn't see any entrance fee. There is also a small museum inside. The well mentioned by Ji Xiaolan is in the yard.

Huguang Guild Hall was once a famous theater in Beijing, where masters such as Mei Lanfang had performed.

There are teahouses, private restaurants and opera museums inside.

There are also performances by Deyun Society

Deyun Club has a large element of hype, but it is a shock to the decadent old literary and artistic system. Competition is always better than monopoly, so we should support it.

The building is very beautiful, if you are interested, you can go and have a look. Tickets are 60.

If you take a taxi to Huguang Guild Hall, you may be taken directly to the cinema in front. Please pay attention to this when taking a taxi.

The whole place is a theater, a famous haunted house. I suggest you don't drink water during the show. The toilet can only be reached through a corridor outside the theater, which is quite spooky at night.

The stage is very high. If you sit in the first row, you have to crane your neck to see the whole show. Emmmm, I was almost exhausted to death.

I suggest you buy the second and third rows of the two middle tables, which will be more comfortable.

I've been there twice. It's relatively cheap in Deyun Club. Today's show was pretty good. It was fun.

A very charming place. There are amateur Peking opera performers on weekends. The building is also beautiful.

I just happened to pass by here and I just wanted to upload some photos🤦‍♀️But seeing so many people being scammed, I decided to give it one star. After all, I was scammed in XX Hall in other cities, and it might be the same trick. I also saw many rickshaws parked in front of Hu Guang Hall, crying for food. I also wanted to go in and visit, but was stopped by a Beijing-style uncle who asked for a ticket, but my mother visited for free a while ago. It seems that I came at the wrong time this time.

I was fooled by a taxi driver. As soon as I entered the door, I had to pay 160 yuan for the ticket. It was said that it included Huguang Guild Hall, Bada Hutong and Laoshe Teahouse. There was nothing inside. After a few words from a guide next to me, I was taken to a room where I could read faces with the Book of Changes. Later, I took a so-called rickshaw to Bada Hutong. The hutong here was very much like a slum. It didn't take long to see it before I was taken to a place to see calligraphy and paintings. In the end, what made me angry was that I originally thought that Laoshe Teahouse was a celebrity monument, but I didn't! I thought! Laoshe Teahouse has long been a teahouse that cheats tourists with a very serious commercial atmosphere. It is completely like a leisure club with modern decoration, selling all kinds of tea and snacks. The whole journey took more than an hour and cost 160 yuan. A family of three spent 480 yuan. I felt strongly fooled. Laoshe Teahouse joined the team of cheating tourists in such an unkind way. I wish you will go bankrupt soon! ! !

Beijing Huguang Guild Hall is located on the south side of the east entrance of Luomashi Street in Xicheng District (southwest of Hufangqiao). I won't go into the history of it, but when you come to Beijing, you still have to watch a Deyunshe crosstalk. This is also the Beijing Opera Museum, where you can see exhibitions.

Huguang Guild Hall has a great background. Founded in 1807, it was originally a hometown association for people from Hunan and Hubei provinces who lived in Beijing to keep in touch with their hometowns. But what is more impressive is that Chinese revolutionary Mr. Sun Yat-sen visited Huguang Guild Hall in Beijing five times and founded the Kuomintang here. In addition to visiting, it is more important to listen to crosstalk. Deyun Club holds two crosstalk special performances here every day, one in the afternoon and one in the evening. The ticket price ranges from dozens to hundreds, which is relatively affordable. Moreover, the performance lasts for 2 and a half hours, with 6 crosstalk segments, and it becomes more and more exciting as it goes on.

It was closed for renovation when we went there, which was unfortunate. We were not able to go inside and have a proper look.

It is said that Huguang Guild Hall has excellent feng shui.

I discovered Huguang Guild Hall by chance while taking a walk after dinner.

Looking from the bridge

The color matching of Huguang Guild Hall is quite good

It should be more fun

It should be beautiful to take photos~~~~

I originally thought that Huguang Guild Hall referred to the area of Hubei and Guangdong. After checking the information, I learned that the word "Huguang" in Beijing Huguang Guild Hall originated from Huguang Province in the Yuan Dynasty, and "Huguang" has specifically referred to the area of Hubei and Hunan since 1376.

Zeng Guofan, Sun Yat-sen, Song Jiaoren and Mei Lanfang have all left their traces here.

Beijing Huguang Guild Hall is located on the south side of the east entrance of Luomashi Street in Xicheng District (southwest of Hufang Bridge). Huguang Guild Hall was built on the bank of Hufang Bridge during the Jiaqing period. The place was originally a private residence, and many celebrities lived here in history. For example, Zhang Zhidong's grandfather, Zhang Weiyin, who served as the Supervisory Censor, lived here during the Qianlong period. The guild hall was originally small in scale. In the tenth year of Daoguang, funds were raised to rebuild it, upgrade its hall, build a theater, and add corridors. In the twenty-ninth year of Daoguang, pavilions and terraces were built, with a total area of about 4,700 square meters.

There are the Hall of Local Worthies, Wenchang Pavilion, Baoshan Hall, Chuwan Hall, etc. in the museum. Bamboo, trees, flowers and plants are planted in the garden, and there are rockeries and Taihu stones. In the early Qing Dynasty, famous scholars often held banquets and sang here, making it a scenic spot in Xuannan. People from the two lakes who traveled to Beijing would regularly gather here to worship gods and sacrifice to local worthy people.

The Wenchang Pavilion of the Huguang Guild Hall in Beijing now serves as the 100th museum in Beijing - the Beijing Opera Museum.

Admission is free, tickets are required for the opera

I came here last night to watch the performance of the sixth team of Deyun Society. The crosstalk was really good, with constant jokes. The vulgar jokes were very much to our liking and I give it a thumbs up. The ticket price was also very cheap, 60 yuan for three rows of tables. The tea and snacks were a little more expensive and needed to be ordered by ourselves. In a word, I thought it was worth it and I will go to watch the performances of other teams.

A good place to listen to crosstalk, convenient transportation, and close to the subway

By Simple Brother |

It feels a bit like the Grand Marshal's Mansion in Guangzhou, but it's much more beautiful than the Grand Marshal's Mansion. I didn't have much expectation at first, but it's not bad. I ran into people taking wedding photos.

It's a pity that when I went there, it was closed due to special reasons. I'll go next time.

By saarinen |

You can listen to crosstalk and watch Peking opera, but most people who watch Peking opera are foreigners because the ticket price is high, while crosstalk is very cheap.

By Mikie |

When you come to Beijing, you must find an opportunity to listen to crosstalk live. This time I chose the fourth team's performance to see the style of the young gang leader and the very lively little braid Zhang Yunlesmida ~ Of course~~ the cheapest ticket of 20 is enough.

By phenix |

The Huguang Guild Hall in Hubaoqiao usually has crosstalk or opera performances in the evening, but I was disappointed that there were no performances tonight.

By Pisces Xiaochao |

The Huguang Guild Hall is very small, and the main purpose is to see the famous big stage, but unfortunately you can't go up. This is also the background for JJ and Adu to sing in the MV of "Beijing Welcomes You".

I took a quick walk around the hall and then left, feeling a little disappointed.

By Xiaoli |

It is a good place to watch Peking opera and listen to crosstalk, or it is also nice to visit the interior of the theater in your spare time.

The Huguang Guild Hall in Beijing is an ancient theater building that was originally a hometown guild hall for people from Hunan and Hubei. Peking opera masters such as Tan Xinpei, Yu Shuyan, and Mei Lanfang have performed here. Now, there are often Peking opera and folk art performances in the daytime and evening sessions.
