By Mountain rain and clear sky |

According to GPS, the entrance of Tongtianmen in Mangshan is 114 meters above sea level, and the Tianchi is 568 meters above sea level. The total height is more than 400 meters. Exercise moderately.

Parking is free at the Tongtianmen ticket office. There is also free parking inside. I wonder if you should drive in from the Longmen ticket office?

Because of the rain, there were few people.

It took an hour to climb to the top. The ticket office for Tianchi Lake is at the top of the mountain, and the ticket is 10 yuan. It is still 1.5 kilometers to Tianchi Lake. It is all car-friendly.

The scenic area is not big. It feels average. It is just for exercise. There are many apricot trees on both sides of the mountain road. You should be able to enjoy the flowers in spring. Other things are average, and it is particularly boring to go back down the mountain by the same route. Pay attention to the photos of wisteria taken, they are not real flowers! !

Tianchi is an artificial pumped storage power station, which is worth seeing. Next time, if you want to see Tianchi directly, you can drive directly to Tianchi from the other side of the mountain. There is a large parking lot next to Tianchi.

The scenery is beautiful and the whole hike takes about three to four hours. You can overlook the Ming Tombs Reservoir from the top of the mountain.

It was raining and I didn't go to Tianchi. What a pity. I'll leave it for next time.

If you are here for tourism, you can pass it directly. In short, it is a desolate mountain with inconvenient transportation. If you live near Changping or in the city center, you can come here to exercise when you have a break. I have been here frequently since 2014. There are few people. It is very suitable for exercise. I climb to the top of the mountain to Tianchi in the morning and then go down the mountain along another road. I have been here about five or six times. Later, because the mountain was too low, I went to other places to exercise.

On October 20, 2018, I checked in at Mangshan Tianchi to see the red leaves. I should have come later, as it is not the reddest season for red leaves. However, you can pick Fuji apples at the apple theme park next to it, and you can take a walk and ride horses in the flower sea of Seventeen-Arch Bridge in Changping outside the west gate of the apple orchard. You can stay at the Apple Club in the apple orchard and the surrounding Treasure Valley and farmhouses. I personally recommend staying in the farmhouse: Quanqin Farmhouse Tourism Park of the Ming Tombs Reservoir, which is clean and comfortable. You can pick crabapples in the farmhouse, and the homemade jujube buns are worth tasting and buying. The baked cake banquet next to the farmhouse is very delicious. Of course, the other two banquets that make up the three banquets in Changping: Kangling Zhengde Spring Pancake Banquet and Mawuzhai Donkey Rolling Banquet are also worth feasting on, and they are also very close to Mangshan Tianchi.

The scenery of Mangshan is mainly the Tianchi Lake, and the rest is just so-so. If the weather is good, the view from afar is nice. I went there today but it was a bit foggy. I walked around the Tianchi Lake, but I didn't go inside the Tianchi Lake because it was inconvenient to bring children. What made me a little unhappy today was that I was deceived. In fact, I was guided to the Tianchi Lake by the navigation system, but I was deceived halfway:

First of all, you can drive to the top of Mangshan National Forest Park (the parking lot next to Tianchi Lake on the top of the mountain), just follow the navigation (write Mangshan Tianchi as the destination), only 10 yuan per person, only 10 yuan, only 10 yuan, important things are said three times! There is no other fee (I went there on August 25, 2018).

In order to prevent those who come after you from being cheated, and to crack down on that cheater, you can refer to the following: I didn't drive to the Tianchi on the top of Mangshan Mountain before, and ended up being cheated of the guide fee (30 yuan per person). It's like this: when you drive to Mangshan Mountain, there is a ticket office (not on the top of the mountain, but at a fork in the road. In fact, just turn right and go downhill from the ticket office, don't go uphill from the designated road next to the ticket office). There is a mountain road on the right side of the ticket office, and it seems that you can drive up. I parked the car and went off the road to ask if I could drive to the top of the mountain. The people at the ticket office and the security guard said that I could only drive to the fourth platform or something, and that the ticket was 30 yuan per person, and I had to walk a short distance after getting off the bus at the fourth platform. It was not convenient for me to take my child with me. At this time, someone outside the ticket office (with a Hebei license plate Ji F) took the initiative (very enthusiastic) to find me and said that he could lead the way to the top of the mountain, saying "I do this job and have connections." I just followed him, but when I passed a forest fire prevention checkpoint (I found out later), the guide got off the car and told me to drive straight up. I drove a short distance and found that the car behind me didn't lead the way at all. I suddenly realized that I was cheated, and I was still using the navigation (I was instantly annoyed... self-blame surged in my heart). I went down the mountain and returned the same way. I stopped at the checkpoint and saw that it was actually a forest fire prevention point. There was no one! In fact, this also taught me a lesson. No matter which scenic spot you go to, you must fully search for relevant matters online in advance, and then you can also ask the local villagers. This is reliable. You can't go to the entrance of the scenic spot to explore. I also doubt whether the ticket office of Mangshan Park and the so-called guide outside have colluded in advance. I doubt it.

1999 steps, it's quite comfortable to go up and down, the ticket is 30

From the top of the mountain, you can see the whole view of Changping District and the Ming Tombs Reservoir. When the weather is clear, there are even more mountains in the distance. I climbed the mountain in the rain. The air was good. The trees were not very big. It would be sunny in summer. It was OK for pure mountain climbing. I personally think the ticket is very expensive and not worth it.

There are 1,299 stone steps leading up the mountain to the painted corridor on the mountain. My favorite place in the whole park is Tianchi, which is vast and sparsely populated, and you can rent a bike to ride.

By Walking in the valley |

We went hiking here during the spring outing. The scenery was nice and there weren't many people there since it wasn't the weekend!

The scenery at the top of the mountain is still good~

I went there for the red leaves. There is a large red leaf forest at the foot of the mountain. It is very beautiful. The car can be driven to the middle of the mountain slope. I was too tired to climb to the top of the mountain.

I have been to Mangshan Park twice in the past ten years in Beijing, once in the summer of 2003 and once in the autumn of 2017.

Both times the impression was not very good.

Maybe it’s because of the weather, if it’s cloudy or foggy, the beauty of the scenery will inevitably be reduced.

What are the characteristics of the park? It is relatively small.

As for public services, they are pretty good now. We have hardened roads, plank roads, and parking lots.

Spring brings flowing clouds and autumn brings colorful brocade

It is named Mangshan because of its undulating shape like a giant python. The highest peak is 659 meters. There are 8,000 hectares of artificial forests and a forest coverage rate of 86%. It is the largest forest park in Beijing.

The largest stone Buddha in the north, the tallest painted pavilion in Beijing, the longest stone steps for climbing in Beijing, the best antique Ming pagoda in Beijing, and the four best cultural landscapes.

In spring, the grass and trees are in full bloom and the garden is full of vitality; in summer, you can enjoy the cool and drink, and the lights are dreamy; in autumn, the mountains are red and the forests are beautiful; in winter, the mountains are layered and pure.

A great place for a vacation in the suburbs of Beijing, there are many mountains and rivers around it, the most famous of which is the Ming Tombs Reservoir. There is also a lavender field nearby, not to mention the surrounding farmhouses. I didn’t climb the mountain, but I cycled nearby. The whole scenery and environment are great!

It's very beautiful. Friends who want to get close to nature can come and play.

By Wood Water 2017 |

It is quite convenient to get there from downtown Beijing. Exit from the northeast exit of Changping Line "Changping Dongguan" and take a Didi taxi for about ten yuan to the ticket office of the scenic spot (it is difficult to wait for the 886 bus so it is not recommended. There are many illegal taxis at the subway exit and there is no need to take them because there is Didi).

The taxi dropped us off at the Longmen ticket office. The ticket price was 30 yuan per person. Children under 6 years old were free, and those over 60 years old were half price with their ID cards. These discounts in Beijing are better than those in other places.

The main thing to do here is to climb the mountain. First, there is a slope for half an hour, and then the main part - 1299 steps. They are all very steep, but the air is good and the scenery is good. The top is the "Mountain Corridor", where you can overlook the Ming Tombs Reservoir.

There are many illegal taxis at the exit of the mountain top. The illegal drivers will pretend to be staff to check tickets in order to steal the invalid tickets and sell them. You don't have to pay attention to them. The illegal taxis will also offer to take you to the bus terminal at the foot of the mountain, charging 20-40 per person. You can refuse to take the bus or just curse them because it is easy to go down the mountain and it is too expensive. You can go to another scenic spot at the exit of the mountain top: the artificial Tianchi (it was closed that day so I didn't go there).

For going down the mountain, you can choose to go to the 886 bus terminal next to the Big Buddha (it is also difficult to wait for the bus, but there are private cars that take you to the subway, which costs 5 yuan per person and you can bargain, so you can take this one).

We arrived at the ticket office at 10:33, played while climbing the mountain, and it was 15:00 when we got down the mountain.

Overall, I feel that the fitness effect is better than sightseeing. It's not easy to knock with your hands, and it's full of practical information. Welcome to like it!

Mangshan Forest Park is a good place to relax, mainly for mountain climbing. Occasionally there will be a light festival or a wind chime festival, but Mangshan does promotions quite frequently, and there are some deviations in the promotion. For example, the Wind Chime Festival is called a festival just by hanging a few wind chimes, and 50 yuan for a ticket is not cheap.

In addition, you can enter from the location of the hot spring, for example, it is more fun. There are many scammers at the main entrance who say they will take you in, but they are actually scammers, so please be careful.

Mangshan National Forest Park, I personally feel that the scenery is pretty good, not too good, nor too bad. While in Beijing, it's nice to come out and relax.

It’s more than 600 meters and it’s quite tiring to climb, so don’t underestimate it.

The scenery after reaching the top is still very good!

We went to Mangshan Park on Friday. It is not too far from our school and the transportation is convenient. Because we went early, there were few people. I was a little disappointed when I first entered and thought that there was nothing fun! But when I walked in, I felt that it was okay. I came to Mangshan mainly for the 1299 steps. I haven't exercised for a long time. I was very tired when I first went up. Xiandan and I were about to give up, but fortunately we persisted. When we got to the mountain, we finally experienced the feeling of looking down on all the mountains! The weather was not very good, it was foggy, and the wind on the mountain was strong and cold. There were so many people when we went down the mountain, and we ran and bumped down!

Mangshan National Forest Park is located near the Ming Tombs Reservoir in Changping District, Beijing. I went there many times when I was young, although I didn't visit it formally. I went to Mangshan to volunteer with a paragliding club:

I will drive my car to take the paragliders to the slope at the top of the mountain, then drive back to the lake at the bottom of the mountain, where I will wait for the paragliders flying down from the mountain, and then take them back up the mountain (just like the cable car at a ski resort)

On Sunday, March 26, 2017, the weather was fine. I originally wanted to visit the national 2A-level "Huyu Scenic Area" in Changping, but it was still closed, so I drove to the long-missed "Mangshan National Forest Park".

The ticket price for Mangshan National Forest Park is 30 yuan per person, and you can drive into the park. There are 4 parking lots in total according to the altitude.

The first parking lot upon entering the park is the parking lot for the "Wind Chime Festival".

Before I went there, I didn't know what the "Wind Chime Festival" was, nor did I know what it looked like inside. I parked the car, locked the door, and went in to take a look.

Most of the people who come to this "Wind Chime Festival" are families, with adults and children enjoying the spring. It was a bit awkward for me to capture the scenery with my SLR camera, so I walked around, took a few photos and left.

The last time I came to Mangshan was nearly 20 years ago. When I came here again, I could no longer remember what it looked like then, nor did I know which road I drove to the top of the mountain. I drove to the last (fourth) parking lot, and there was a stone pier blocking the way forward, so the car could not go forward.

From then on, we abandoned the car and started walking. Although the road was paved with smooth cement, the slope was very steep. When I was going up, I took laborious steps like I was suffering from altitude sickness, and my movements were much slower than usual.

Panting, I walked to the end of this cement slope - a large viewing platform, took a short rest, and looked back at the scenery below the mountain.

After resting here, we started to climb the mountain. The mountaineering road leading to the top of the mountain is all stone steps, so it is okay to wear leather shoes. Before climbing, I saw a sign that showed that there were 1,299 steps from here to the top of the mountain. I thought that as long as I silently counted the number of steps in my mind, it shouldn't be too difficult, right?

I didn't expect that I was panting after walking up 30 or 50 steps. The weight of the camera bag on my body, plus the tight autumn clothes and autumn pants were close to my skin. I was cold and hot, and the mountain wind blew after I sweated...

Alas! You are not even 50 years old yet, how can you be so cowardly?

I looked at the "Painted Corridor" and Tianchi Lake on the top of the mountain, but I just couldn't climb up!

I can comfort myself that I am not sitting at home, and I will be content as long as I can get out and move around!

There was a light festival at that time. The tickets were not cheap. But it was worth it if you went to Tianchi. The ticket for Tianchi alone was 10 yuan. I recommend Tianchi.

The ticket to Mangshan National Forest Park is 20 yuan. The gate of the park is magnificent. Because there are two stone dragons carved on the gate, it is also called "Dragon Gate". Entering the park, you can see the mountains and ridges in the scenic area, which are lush and green. The morning mist is full of fresh air, which makes people feel refreshed. When you come to the starting steps of the mountain trail, there are more than a thousand stone steps in a staggered manner, sandwiched among the green trees. It is the season of spring flowers, and the tender green branches and leaves make the surroundings full of vitality. The long mountain trail is so similar to the road of life, with winding paths, changing scenery with your heart, changing shapes, or becoming a grand view! The 1,299 steps of the mountain climbing are too long. Take a rest on a platform at more than 500 steps, look around, fresh and quiet, and make people intoxicated. Due to time constraints, I did not climb to the highest point of the antique Ming Tower and Tianchi. It is said that when the weather is fine, you can see all the scenic spots in the Ming Tombs area and Changping Satellite City from the tower. Through a high-power telescope, you can clearly see the city of Beijing.

Mangshan is located next to the Ming Tombs Reservoir and is the eastern barrier of the Ming Tombs Scenic Area. Standing on the top of Mangshan, you can overlook the buildings in downtown Beijing in clear weather. When climbing Mangshan, you can consider taking the wild roads developed by hikers, which saves the entrance fee, and the scenery is also good when walking through the forest. You can look back at the Ming Tombs Reservoir from time to time. There is a signal tower on the top of Mangshan, and there is also a reservoir called "Tianchi". This is a good place for Beijing residents to relax on weekends and holidays.

Traveled in January 2016.

1. There were villagers stopping cars at the mountain gate, seemingly directing cars and pedestrians to enter the mountain as they wish, but in fact they were charging people arbitrarily. They said the car would be charged 50 yuan, but the car could be driven into the scenic area, where there is free parking.

2. We used the 2016 Mountain Climbing and Fitness Annual Pass, which is very convenient. You can swipe the card at the ticket office and get a stamp on the collection book.

3. It seems a bit boring to climb Mangshan in winter, but when you reach the top of the mountain, you can see the Ming Tombs Reservoir in the distance. The Tianchi Scenic Area is not open now.

Mangshan National Forest Park is located in Changping. The transportation is OK. You can take the Changping Line of the subway and get off at Nanshao, and then take a taxi. When I went there, the Tianchi was still under construction and I was not allowed to go up. I talked to the gatekeeper for a long time and gave him some cigarette money, and then I went up. The steps of Mangshan are very high and a bit steep. It is not easy to climb. Be sure to pay attention to safety when you are afraid. There is a long corridor on the top, which looks quite spectacular from the bottom. From the corridor, there is a big slope, and the top is Tianchi. I can't tell which door I went in. There is a small square with a big Buddha and the twelve zodiac animals, which are carved lifelike. Mangshan has good greenery, fresh air, and it is also very comfortable to climb.

Located in Changping, the mountain is not too high, but it takes a while to climb up. There is a rest platform at a certain distance.

By Walking on the road |

You can take bus 888 directly to the distribution center at the bottom of Mangshan Mountain. It takes about 15 minutes to walk to the ticket window. The ticket price is 20 yuan, and the student ticket is 10 yuan. If you come from the foot of the mountain by bus, it seems to be cheaper, because many tourists say they are from which bus when checking their tickets for the guard, but the specific situation is not clear.

Located to the east of Ming Tombs Reservoir, it has 1,299 steps, the longest climbing staircase in Beijing, the highest mountaintop corridor and the largest Buddha in North China. Climbing a mountain is a test of one's perseverance. Under the scorching sun, we kept climbing and finally reached the top of the mountain. Sitting in the corridor, feeling the mountain breeze and overlooking the road we came from, the sense of accomplishment was incomparable.
