Walking into Cuandixia Village hidden in the deep mountains and valleys, it seems as if you have accidentally entered a paradise. This is a great place to escape from the world, away from the hustle and bustle of the city, and escape into this rural pure land. The dog takes a nap on the doorstep, and the cute baby paces on the steps. The worldly troubles seem to have nothing to do with this place. Treasured with a long history, Cuandixia Village has gone through more than 400 years of time and has completely preserved 74 sets of courtyard houses from the Ming and Qing Dynasties. The original ecological ancient village culture, unique feng shui layout, and mountain city form that follows the terrain of the mountain, the Cuan culture is like a pearl shining on the land of western Beijing. There is a Niangniang Temple on the hillside of Cuandixia Village, where you can experience the momentum of the "Little Potala Palace" in the suburbs of Beijing. The pictures of the ancient villages lined up in front of you can't help but give rise to a feeling of reminiscing about the past, and time seems to be frozen at this moment.

Cuandixia Village and Cuanbai Scenic Area are on the same road and less than two kilometers apart. People come to travel mainly to see Cuandixia Village. On a slope in the valley, there are many houses built of stone slabs, and winding paths connecting each household. The very simple and unsophisticated appearance makes people unable to stop and want to explore.

The transportation is very convenient, the whole journey is on the highway, and there is no traffic jam during off-peak hours;

Cuandixia Village is not big, but it is very clean. There are garbage collection trucks at designated locations every day, and each household’s garbage is collected and processed in a centralized manner.

The villagers are very welcoming. Anyone who opens the door to the old houses in the village can enter and visit them freely.

The Yichenchen Inn where we stayed was clean and tidy, with unique decoration. There were four big rooms and one small room, just enough for a small courtyard and two rooms.

I have lived in this city for more than ten years. Although I cannot say that I belong to it 100%, I have left behind many footprints and photos. I post them one by one.

A friend who was traveling with me passed away due to illness. May he rest in peace.

Cuandixia Village. Cuandixia Village is located in Zhaitang Town, Mentougou District, western suburbs of Beijing. It is a village in Chuandixia, and its real name is Cuandixia. It got its name because it was located below the "Cuanli Ankou" (locally known as Cuanditou) in the Ming Dynasty. It is 90 kilometers away from Beijing, 650 meters above sea level, with an average annual temperature of 10.1℃. It has good natural vegetation and is suitable for raising sheep and bees. Cuandixia is one of the ten most beautiful villages in Beijing. The whole village is located on the mountainside, built on the mountain, with different heights, and a river surrounds it. Looking at Cuandixia Village from the opposite side of the mountain, it is like a gold ingot, which can be said to be a Feng Shui treasure land. There is water on the left and right of the village, and the two ancient wells in the village are like longan. All the people in Cuandixia Village are surnamed Han. It is said that they immigrated from Dahuaishuxia, Hongdong County, Shanxi Province in the Ming Dynasty. There are many ancient houses in the village, well-preserved quadrangles, screen walls, gatehouses, etc. There are often students sketching in the village, and the villagers make a living from tourism, leading a rich and comfortable life. After sunset, the moon rises, and the village is so quiet that you can hear the frogs croaking. Bring your children here to experience rural life.

When entering the scenic spot, you have to drive forward after collecting the entrance fee, because the shops at the entrance are full and it is not the village of Cuandixia. There are four villages in the whole scenic spot. I got up early to wander around the village. My mistake was to wear slippers to climb the mountain. It was very cool in the morning, and the sun was blocked by the mountain. It took a while for the sun to shine through. The scenery where the light shines through the top of the mountain is very beautiful. Wandering around the village, the ancient village built in the Ming Dynasty is incredibly beautiful, especially suitable for sketching and summer vacation. Every place is a scenery, and the whole village is very clean.

Last weekend, I checked in at Luanzhou Ancient Town, but I don’t recommend it because it has a strong commercial atmosphere. Looking through the recent special features on ancient towns and villages around Beijing, I found a familiar word - Cuandixia Village.

The last time I went to Cuan Dixia Village was three years ago. At that time, I drove to Mentougou with my parents and passed by this "most beautiful village in Beijing".

I remember that we wandered around in the mountains for several times before we found it. You may not feel the difference when you enter the village, but when you walk into the village, touch the stone walls, and go up to a high place in the streets to overlook the panoramic view of the village, you can really feel the charm of this place - why it is praised as the "Cultural Pearl of Ancient Village" hidden in the deep mountains and valleys in western Beijing

The village is well preserved. Three years ago, there was almost no trace of commerce here, but it was full of historical traces. You may not know the history and culture here, but you can feel the heritage here when you are here.

Here is the strategy:

Transportation: Located in Mentougou District, self-driving is recommended. There are buses that go directly to Cuandixia Village at Pingguoyuan Station. If there are many people, you can also charter a car.

Opening hours: All day.

Tickets: 35 yuan/person (I went there three years ago and don’t remember if there was an entrance fee. I checked online and it was 35 yuan)

Accommodation: The village is not big, so you can decide whether to stay here. We stayed in a homestay in Lingshan and did not stay here for long.

Cuandixia Village is worth a visit, a place with a completely preserved history of 6-7 decades. It is a beautiful place with old village ruins from the Ming Dynasty, murals from the Qing Dynasty, reports of meritorious service in the Sino-Japanese War of 1894-1895, ruins of houses burned down by the Japanese army during World War II, ruins of anti-Japanese outposts, slogans from the 1950s, 1960s, and 1970s, ancient roads, ancient wells, ancient temples, and ancient theaters, which make people feel the history. It is a village with cultural heritage.

At night, the lights in Cuandixia are very gentle, which makes me feel like I am in a dream. At night, the gentle lights in Cuandixia are looming, which makes people feel as if they are in another world. It is very suitable for a family to come out for a stroll. There is a not very high hillside. Children can also climb to the top with the help of adults, and they can see the whole village. It is also suitable for literary young men and women to come here to experience the unique Chinese courtyard culture.

From Beijing's West Sixth Ring Road, take National Highway 109, and you will reach Cuandixia Village in more than 60 kilometers. The road conditions are good. You can enter the Cuandixia Scenic Area by purchasing a 35-yuan ticket. Eleven years ago, I came to Cuandixia. I was in a hurry and just took a quick look. I saw the buildings and learned how to write the word "Cuan". This year, I came to Cuandixia again and found that the ancient buildings here are cleaner, even newer, there are more parking lots, and more tourists from other places.

Cuandixia is a village sandwiched in the mountain crevices. The terrain is relatively low in the southeast and high in the northwest. A stone road runs through the whole village. The road is curved in the village. The northeast of the arc is relatively wide. The traditional northern dwellings with stone walls and gray tiles are built along the hillside. Several courtyards are built on stone platforms, which are quite spectacular. The effect is better when viewed from the opposite mountain. "Curved road, curved stone platform, and stone dwellings" has become the image of Cuandixia. Because it has produced many officials and scholars, it is quite famous.

According to legend, this village is above this village (there is a Cuanli'ankou outside the north entrance of the village), and this village is below Cuanli'ankou, so it is called "Cuandixia". This time I came here specifically to look for Cuanli'ankou, but I couldn't find it.

I stayed in a homestay in the village for one night. The accommodation conditions were pretty good. The sun was shining brightly in the morning. I visited the whole village again and walked along the scenic trail on the opposite mountain.

The thin line of sky at Cuandixia is the thin line of sky that I remember least. Other scenic spots occasionally have thin line of sky, but the cracks in the rocks are usually straight up and down, while the thin line of sky here is big up and small, and has several turns. What's more special is that this is the only way to Baiyu Village. Due to the unique geographical conditions, several movies have been filmed here. It is said that there was originally an asphalt road under the thin line of sky here, but as more movies were filmed, the dirt road has become the signature of this place, and everyone prefers the thin line of sky on the ground.

The second time we visited the One Line Sky on this trip was on Sunday morning. As expected, the scenery here is very different on sunny, cloudy, windy or rainy days. From time to time, there are vehicles passing through the One Line Sky. Watching the vehicles here is like a time travel between ancient and modern times, and a collision between humanity and nature.

My car passed through the narrow gap in the sky above Cuandixia. The yellow soil raised by the wheels became the dragon's shell. The car was like the dragon's head, and the headlights were the dragon's eyes. The dragon's shell stayed with the car for a long time until it drove out of the narrow gap in the sky.

When you live in a place for a long time, you will find that there are many magical things in this place, which are as magical as poetry. I went to Cuandixia in a hurry last month, and the guide I made was not detailed enough. Although I was satisfied with the combination of meat and vegetables, I made another guide and found that there are waterfalls, small trains, hanging temples, and cliff roads around Cuandixia. What do you think? Those scenery that can only be seen in the distance now appear around me, and the Cuandixia around me really becomes a poem.

There are many bulls biting people, so you can only climb the mountain to eat. The narrow sky outside the village is OK. I really want to go there, wear long sleeves and long pants, there are many bulls

The ancient village with ancient charm, the most beautiful village in Beijing is worth a day trip!

By warm |

Cuandixia Village is the first well-preserved ancient mountain village in my country. According to historical records, it is more than 400 years old. There are now more than 70 sets of 500 courtyard houses from the Ming and Qing dynasties. This village is located between the mountains, with gray-tiled houses, neat and uniform, full of historical charm.

Of course, with the current film and television, such as The Warlords and The Beloved, this place has become famous. Now most of them have become places that can provide food and accommodation for tourists. The advantage is that they can experience history more closely and leave endless reverie.

For tourists, food, accommodation and lodging are no longer a problem here. The cost is between 120-160, including three meals and accommodation. Of course, the village is not particularly large, so if you want to take a quick tour, you can spend a day there.

The streets and alleys in Cuandixia are mostly paved with bluestone, graystone and purple slate, which are solid and beautiful in texture. The constant coming and going of people has made the stones polished to a shine, but of course one still has to be careful when walking on them.

The ruins of the old village in the Ming Dynasty, the dwellings in the Qing Dynasty, the murals, the victory reports, the houses burned down by the Japanese army during World War II, the ruins of Cuandixia Village, the ruins of the anti-Japanese outpost, the slogans in the 1950s, 1960s, 1970s, the ancient millstones, the ancient wells, and the ancient temples make people feel the vicissitudes of history. Walking among them is like tasting tea and drinking wine, and you feel at ease. By the way, there are many rich people's houses inside, and from this perspective, it is really a Feng Shui treasure land......

Anyway, it won’t take too much time, it’s worth a look!

The picture below is not very good and has not been retouched. It is actually much better looking than in the picture. By the way, friends must do a good job of sun protection in hot weather!

The most beautiful village in the suburbs of Beijing is well-proportioned, simple and elegant. Climbing high and looking far into the distance will make you feel relaxed and happy.

By Four Joys |

If you don't want to climb a distant mountain and just want to find a platform to look at the scenery, then go here. After the Spring Festival, there were not many people in Cuandixia in the morning, and in the afternoon, you could see a few cars parked on the roadside. There are three routes to climb different slopes. We climbed two routes, which were not very high so it was not too tiring. It was quite pleasant to be able to leisurely look out and fantasize on a platform. As for the lunch here, there was nothing attractive to us, so we gave up.

Before I went there, I imagined Cuandixia to be too beautiful. Although I was not disappointed, the commercial atmosphere has made it no longer a village. Take bus 892 near Pingguoyuan subway station, swipe the card for 7.5 yuan for the whole journey, the terminal station is Zhaitang Town, take a taxi to Cuandixia, and the whole journey only takes 2 hours (7:30-9:30 on Saturday). Too many people have introduced the beauty of Cuandixia, so here I will write something more practical. The price of farm dishes is similar in each family. Home-cooked meat dishes are between 35-55 yuan, vegetarian dishes are about 20 yuan, and special farm dishes are usually 60+. Grilled lamb chops are 200 yuan, a can of Coke is 5 yuan, a bottle of Arctic Ocean is 6 yuan, accommodation is 150 yuan (four-person kang), and breakfast is 10 yuan per person. The overall price is not expensive compared to the city, but it is definitely not cheap, but this place has been commercialized, there is no way. Recommendation: The scallion pancakes in the village are amazing, you must eat them. I have eaten at two of them, and they are both very good.

Cuandixia Village is located in the deep mountains and valleys in the western Beijing mountainous area. It is the first ancient mountain village complex discovered in my country that is relatively well preserved. Most of the houses in the village are quadrangle and three-sided courtyards built in the late Qing Dynasty (a small number were built in the Republic of China). It is located on the gentle slope on the north side, built on the mountain, and built according to the situation. It is staggered in height, with the dragon head behind the village as the center and the north-south axis as the fan-shaped axis on both sides. The scenery of Cuandixia Village is primitive and natural, with a line of sky and a viewing platform. Wandering around the village is the best way to relax. There are a total of 44 households in the village, almost all of which are inns. It is said that accommodation is tight during the holidays and needs to be booked in advance.

109 has many sharp turns in the mountains, there are many cars, and the road is a bit long. Cuanbai Scenic Area, ticket price is 35/person, there are many tourists, the farmhouse food tastes good, but a bit salty! In addition to the two villages, there are also Yixiantian and Meiguiyu.

Cuan Di Xia, this character is similar to the biang (second tone) in the Shaanxi specialty biangbiang noodles in the picture below. Both of them did not exist originally, but were created by humans later. This character Cuan (fourth tone) also has a jingle: Xing (Xing) is the head, Lin (Lin) is the waist, and Da (Da) is under the fire~

Then all the villagers have the surname Han. Can you guess why? Because the fire burned the forest, the more it burned, the hotter it was. The surname Han in Cuandixia Village is homophonic to (Han), which means cold, so it complements the five elements. In the past, you could come in and play without tickets. Now, it is estimated that there are more people coming here and they have started to sell tickets for special rural tours. You can drive in only if you buy a ticket. Then there are several small villages, which can be visited in succession.

Living freely, sometimes I feel very happy when I think about it. May the gods bless me to always have such a mood to go out and look, to pursue. It is far away in the sky and close at hand. As long as you pursue what you want to do, you will succeed. The place I went to this time was a green valley, a place full of wildness. It is very beautiful and its name is Cuandixia. Cuandixia is located in Mentougou District, Beijing. It is a very secluded place. There are not many people in the village. It is surrounded by ancient villages surrounded by mountains. The simple folk customs are free and the air is fresh. The blue sky in Cuandixia is very blue and the air is very fresh. It is a place worth tasting many times, full of wildness and a paradise.

By gp |

This is already a famous scenic spot. But I was disappointed when I actually visited it. It is now called Cuanbai Scenic Area, but it is actually not very interesting. I stayed in Cuandi for one night in early July 2016. I walked around at night and found that many of the houses were renovated and looked a bit weird. Some people mistakenly thought it was a farmhouse in the south and couldn't figure out the local style. The accommodation in the farmhouse is not expensive but it is relatively simple.

By Xiao Panzi |

Cuandixia Village is located on the G109 National Highway in Mentougou District. It has convenient transportation. It is estimated to take 2.5 hours to drive from the Third Ring Road of Beijing. The public service facilities are very complete and there are sufficient parking lots. Private cars can drive into the scenic area, but there are often traffic jams, so it is recommended to park the car outside the scenic area for your convenience. This village group is very local. The residential courtyards are built on the mountain and concentrated in this fan shape. You can climb to the hillside south of the village to enjoy the panoramic view. It is recommended that you can go back after climbing halfway up the hillside. In fact, the scenery is the same if you climb higher. You can consider going to the back of the village for mountaineering. You can visit the residential courtyards in Cuandixia. The higher you go, the longer the history of the houses. You can find a clean farmhouse at noon and rest and play cards here in the afternoon. Other attractions include a line of sky, etc. You need to walk a few kilometers through the village into the mountains.

On a whim, I drove for 3 hours to Cuandixia Village. It is said that the village has a history of more than 400 years. It was already 3 pm when I arrived. I walked around the village along the alley. It felt great. The high stone walls looked very old. I really like the simple feeling of the village, but unfortunately, I heard from the villagers that the government will renovate the village this year. Maybe after the renovation, I will no longer have this feeling... I didn't want to leave at night, so I found a family to stay. It was a little scary at night. Anyway, it is still a place worth visiting! Feel the simplicity before the renovation!

Cuan Dixia Village is located on Zhaibai Road west of Zhaitang Town, Mentougou District, western suburbs of Beijing. It is also called Chuandixia Village. All the villagers have the surname Han. It is an old village dating back to the Ming Dynasty. The ticket plus parking fee is 45 yuan. It is mainly for viewing the courtyards. Public transportation is not very convenient. It is six or seven kilometers away from Zhaitang Town. The ticket office of the scenic area is three or four kilometers away from the village, so it is recommended to drive there by yourself.

I went there once, it was a bit rushed, and I want to go again.

By An An An An Bu |

Went there on National Day, overall it was average.

The village is relatively small and can be visited in less than half a day. There are no other activities except mountain climbing. I think it is best to go back and forth on the same day. There is no need to stay for a day because the tourist atmosphere is very strong and there is no feeling of a small village. Besides, the accommodation price is very expensive during holidays.

Although there are many people during holidays, we still have to eat at mealtime. We went to eat around 2 o'clock, and most farmers had already closed their doors.

There are plenty of parking spaces. It is recommended to park in the parking lot at the entrance of the village and not drive in, otherwise it will be very congested.

The most beautiful village in Beijing is located in Zhaitang Town, Mentougou District, Beijing. It is an ancient village built in the Ming Dynasty. A large number of Qing Dynasty houses are still intact in the village. It was listed as a cultural relic protection unit in Beijing in 2001 and a national key cultural relic protection unit in 2006. The village is also one of the first batch of famous historical and cultural villages in China. Cuandixia Ancient Mountain Village is a pearl of Chinese classical architectural treasures. It contains a deep northern architectural cultural connotation. In terms of its historical, cultural and artistic value, it is precious not only in Beijing, but also in the country. It is a great achievement to make it public.

By lilith |

If you drive there, you can take the Sixth Ring Road from Fushi Road, get off at Junzhuang and take G109. It takes about an hour to get there. If you want to take a bus, you can probably only go to Pingguoyuan to find a bus to Zhaitang and then look for one in the town.

It is cheaper to contact the inn yourself than to book online. We booked a big bunk bed. I have to say it three times: don't complain about the cold kang made by the owner. Don't complain about it! We just felt it was cold, and the owner put a lot of firewood in it. It was so hot at night!

The ticket to Cuanbai Scenic Area is 35 yuan, including Cuandixia Village and Baiyu Village. No parking ticket is required in the off-season. Personally, I think Baiyu is useless. You can drive to Yixiantian to take pictures and then return.

Cuandixia Village is worth a visit. The village is very interesting, with stone roads. It was very slippery when I caught up with the snow. There is Guandi Temple next to it, Niangniang Temple and viewing platform and Jinchanling opposite. It feels great to climb to the top after being exhausted!

You must eat the farmer's meal early, otherwise it is easy to eat up the food in the store during the off-season! Or the store owner will directly tell you that he is tired and will not cook anymore. Anyway, it is very casual.

It is best to contact accommodation in advance. When I got there, I found that many hotels were locked during the off-season, so many people asked for rooms everywhere.

Cuandixia Village is a small mountain village under the jurisdiction of Zhaitang Town, Mentougou District, Beijing. A few years ago, it was selected as one of the "Most Beautiful Villages in Beijing". As a folk culture village named by the Beijing Municipal Government, Cuandixia Village has attracted many tourism enthusiasts in recent years. They stop and wander there and linger. Cuandixia Village, located deep in the mountains, is mainly known for its well-preserved courtyard houses in Beijing during the Ming and Qing Dynasties. Visitors can appreciate the ancient residential architectural art, taste the fragrance of farm meals, breathe fresh air without industrial pollution, and enjoy the quiet night away from the hustle and bustle of the city and close to nature. I think that the Yugong spirit and elegant attitude towards life that have been passed down by the people of Cuandixia Village for hundreds of years, as shown in the village design and the construction of each house, are enough to be awe-inspiring!

Cuandixia is a place worth visiting. You can take the subway line 1 to Pingguoyuan and then take a bus directly to Cuandixia. Cuandixia is well preserved. There is an observation deck inside. It is quite tiring to walk up the stairs one step at a time. Standing on a high place and looking down, it looks like a big ingot. Walking in the village, many people have Cuandi in front of their houses. It is also very interesting to look for them. If you walk deep into the village, you can find a restaurant to eat farmhouse food. Walking along the avenue, there is a place called a line of sky, but I can't see it because it is really wide. Overall it is worth a visit

Cuandixia Village is located in Mentougou, Beijing. The village is very old, but not very big. It takes about 2 hours to drive in. It is suitable for bringing the elderly and children to breathe fresh air here on weekends and visit the courtyards of the Ming and Qing Dynasties. There is an observation deck in the village that is not very high, and you can see the whole picture of the village. By the way, there is also a thin line of sky and a very beautiful cave, you can go and see it!

Cuandixia is relatively famous, but the scenery is average. Compared with other attractions in Mentougou, it is not recommended.

The scenic spot is located in Mentougou District, west of Beijing. It is a well-preserved ancient village of Ming and Qing Dynasty buildings, about 650 meters above sea level. The temperature difference between morning and evening in the mountainous area is relatively large.

Everyone in the village has the surname Han, and there is no other surname. A young couple gave birth to three sons to continue their offspring. From the other side of the mountain, the whole village looks like a big ingot.

It was a trading post in ancient times so it has been preserved.

Transportation: Drive about 90 kilometers from Beijing city, about 2 hours. Or take the shuttle bus. There are morning and evening buses.

Tickets are 35 yuan. Students can enjoy half price.

Now it is jointly developed by four villages. So the ticket collectors are stopped at the very outside to collect the entrance fee, and it takes another 5 kilometers to drive to Cuan Village.

Accommodation: It is best to stay in Cuan Village. Usually, the room is 150. It can accommodate four people. It has a bathroom. Those without a bathroom are cheaper.

Food features: Fish and meat stewed in iron pots. Scallion pancakes. The landlord’s is the best.

There is also a post office in the village that sells postcards. They have postmarks. Those who like to send postcards can buy some.

Cuandixia, as an ancient village in the suburbs of Beijing, is worth visiting for people from Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei. It is highly recommended. It is small but exquisite, small but beautiful. In the embrace of the mountains, it is quiet, like a thin woman with light makeup, or a man in plain linen. The village where the villagers live and grow up is guarded by the villagers. The heritage and aura are all there. The commercial atmosphere is very light, but it also makes it difficult for brothers and sisters who want to hang out in the ancient village bars and cafes to find a store. Compared with Miyun, I personally prefer this kind of authentic rural ancient village.

Cuandixia Village is not very big, so one day is enough to experience the charm of the ancient village.

This small village in Mentougou District, Beijing, is quaint and worth a visit, but don't go there on weekends or holidays, as there is a high risk of traffic jams!!!

Cuandixia Village is located in Mentougou, Beijing. It is an ancient and complete village, most of which was built during the Ming and Qing Dynasties.

I don't feel there is any need to go to this place. It's such a small area and the journey is quite far. Maybe it's because there is really nothing to do in the imperial capital.

By Leisure |

Located in Mentougou, Beijing, it is a small village in the mountains. The architectural layout has very distinctive features.

By Spread your wings |

By consulting the data, I learned that there are 29 households with more than 100 people in Cuandixia Village, with 280 mu of land, 74 courtyards in the village, all of which are quadrangle courtyards and three-sided courtyards, and 689 houses, most of which were built in the Ming and Qing Dynasties, and a small number were built in the Republic of China. All the people in Cuandixia Village are surnamed Han, and it is said that they immigrated from Dahuaishuxia, Hongdong County, Shanxi Province in the Ming Dynasty.

I thought there would be a lot of people when I came here, but I didn't expect there would be so many people! The car was parked far away from the entrance of the village. Tourists leaving the village told me not to drive in, but to find a place to park and walk in. There is an observation deck on the mountain opposite the village, where you can overlook the entire village. Climb up step by step along the climbing steps. The outline of the village becomes clearer with each step you climb. It's really a great view from a high place. From the observation deck, the whole village is fan-shaped, and it really looks like a "yuanbao". Although it is very compact, it is well-arranged, with blue bricks, gray tiles, yellow mud walls, and bustling crowds. If the tourists all change into clothes from the Ming and Qing dynasties, this is the reproduction of the prosperous market town of that time.

The road to the viewing platform is a circular road. We went down the mountain from the top of the village. There is an ancient well at the exit. There are many photos on the wall next to it. After seeing it, I realized that this well is also a "star well". Many movies such as The Warlords have been filmed here. Walking into the village and visiting several courtyards, the impact of the simplicity and heaviness became stronger. We originally planned to stay in Shuanglongxia at night, but we were impressed by the ancient flavor here, so we decided to change our plan and stay here tonight.

In the suburbs of Beijing, you need to stay for a day, otherwise it will be very rushed. The village is relatively simple and suitable for taking photos.

If you want to go to Beijing on weekends, Cuandixia Village is a good place! The ancient houses here are built on the mountain, surrounded by mountains on all sides, with different heights. It is very beautiful to stand on a high place! If you want to stay, they are basically farmhouses. When I went there, I went there and came back the same day!

Cuandixia is an ancient village in Mentougou, west of Beijing. It can be said to be a well-known ancient village ranked very high in Beijing.

It is well preserved and not so commercially developed. The villagers are still self-sufficient, but because of the tourism industry, many people have turned their houses into inns as a source of income. When you come to Cuandixia, you must stay in such a farmhouse, and the landlord will cook for you (of course, there is a charge, but it is very affordable). The meals are all for the locals to eat, wild vegetables, red rice and some local dishes, which are all natural and taste really good.

Behind Cuandixia is a large canyon, which is said to be very nice, but I didn't go there at that time. There are several small temples at the foot of the mountain at the entrance of the village, one of which has murals, and you can see that it is quite well done. Looking at the village from a high place, the village looks like a gold ingot, with good feng shui.

By Alone with the wind |

The first time I went to Cuandixia was more than 10 years ago, organized by my company. But strangely, I didn't even take a photo to review it! I remember that there was an older villager who gave explanations along the way. Maybe he was the village chief? Or a tour guide trained by the village? I don't remember anything else, but I remember one sentence: Why did women in ancient times "never leave the front door or the back door" and so on.

I tried to remember the writing formula of the word "爨" for several years but couldn't, so I gave up.

When I drove here again, I no longer recognized the main road outside the village, and all the road signs pointed to the "Cuanbai Scenic Area". It was getting bigger and cleaner.

The entrance fee to Cuandixia Village is 35 yuan per person, which is a bit expensive. However, you can still see many tourists in the off-season, so I guess it will be crowded during the peak tourist season, right?

As soon as I entered the village, I saw a bright red paper lantern hanging on a tree. It is not uncommon to hang red lanterns in rural areas, but the place where this lantern was hung always reminded me of the feeling of a "message tree".

The weather on that day was unusually good, with a deep blue sky. The photos I took with my camera without any filters had a greater contrast than what we see with our naked eyes, and the blue was often "scary".

In the dead of winter, the surrounding mountains and fields are a little desolate. Of course, I chose to visit Cuandixia, and it was definitely not for taking pictures of the mountain scenery.

The advantage of coming in winter is that there are fewer tourists, fewer vendors, less noise and noise and it is very quiet; the disadvantage of coming in winter is that there are locks everywhere (probably 90% of commercial facilities are closed), it is less prosperous and more bleak and depressed.

However, there was an open lock hanging on a dilapidated fence gate, which looked quite interesting.

Judging from the layout of the entire Cuandixia Village, the entire village is built in a circular shape with its back against the mountain, so there should be a small ancestral hall-like building on the mountain on one side of the village, perhaps a mountain god temple or a Guandi temple. The color is relatively bright, which is obviously different from the color tone of the entire village.

I went to the Guandi Temple and the small pavilion in front of the temple because it was a commanding point and I wanted to overlook the whole view of Cuandixia Village from there. The weather was good and I felt good to hike up the mountain and walk.

It is one of the scenic spots of the ancient road in western Beijing, with a strong rural flavor. It has been eroded by commercialization in the past nine years!

By Follow me everywhere |

There is an ancient village called Cuan Dixia in Zhaitang Town of Mentougou, west of Beijing. It is the first relatively intact ancient building complex in a mountain village discovered in my country. Cuan Dixia is a national 3A-level scenic spot.

The filming of the movie "The Warlords" in Cuandixia Village has greatly increased its popularity.

The character "爨" in "爨下" has 30 strokes and is pronounced as "CUAN". For easy memorization, the character "爨" can be divided into the character "兴" at the top, the character "林" at the waist, and the character "大" with "火烧" at the bottom, which means cooking with fire or stove. The big cliff behind the village looks like a stove, so the name "爨下" is very appropriate.

The houses in the whole village are built according to the mountain terrain, with different heights. With the dragon head behind the village as the center, the north-south axis is fan-shaped and spreads on both sides. It has long been known as the "Potala Palace in the west of Beijing".

Climbing up the small hill opposite, the whole village can be seen at a glance. The sunlight adds a lot of color to the monotonous winter scenery.

The village is developing tourism, and many families have opened family hotels and inns. Red lanterns are hung in many places, making it look quite festive.

The movie "The Warlords" was filmed in many places in the village. Do you see several familiar places?

The "Line of Sky" behind the village is a naturally formed fractured canyon, winding and tortuous, and quite spectacular. The canyon is like a gourd, with a small mouth and a big belly. Looking up from the ground, you can only see a line of sky, which is truly a "line of sky". This is another filming location of the movie "The Warlords", where Andy Lau, Takeshi Kaneshiro and others robbed government grain at the beginning of the movie.

The route to Cuandixia Village from the city: Take Fucheng Road in the city - Fushi Road, go west - turn right at Shuangyu Bridge - Shuangyu Road - Binhe Road - Chengzi Street - Shidan Road - G109, and walk along G109 for a long distance - Zhaibai Road - Cuandixia Village. The road conditions are very good throughout the journey, and there is no need to take the highway.

The Cuandixia Scenic Area is open all year round and the ticket price is 35 yuan.

Accommodation: There are many accommodation options in Cuandixia, all of which are family hotels renovated by villagers. The price of a standard room is 100 yuan. There is also a kang, plus electric heater, 80 yuan for a small room and 120 yuan for a large room. There is also a bathroom in the house, which is not cold at all and quite convenient.

Catering: The eating problem in Cuandixia is basically solved in the hostel where you stay. The general farm meals are moderately priced, and you can eat comfortably for 20-30 yuan per person. In winter, there are few tourists, and you can only see special cars delivering fish, meat and vegetables to each household during the day.

Cuandixia was very popular in the past few years. In fact, it is just a relatively primitive village, but you can indeed see traces of people’s previous lives here.

It is more convenient to drive there by yourself, but taking a car is a little more troublesome.

The whole village is quite big, but there is no tourist route. You can just walk around and see which family was a wealthy family back then. It's very interesting.

Many movies were filmed here, such as "Life and Death Warrant", where you can see the scenes they took~

It is the most well-preserved village left over from the Qing Dynasty. It is too commercialized and far from the city. It takes more than 80 kilometers to drive one way. It is average.

Cuandixia Village is located on the gentle slope on the north side of the valley, facing south, covering an area of about 1 hectare, with 74 courtyards and 689 rooms. A street divides the village into two parts, upper and lower. The residential buildings are centered on the hill in the north of the village and extend downward in a fan-shaped shape. The ancient residential buildings are mainly quadrangle courtyards from the Qing Dynasty, which are basically surrounded by the main house, the back house and the left and right wing rooms, and some have ear rooms and cover rooms. They are mainly divided into mountain quadrangle courtyards, double-store quadrangle courtyards and shop-style quadrangle courtyards. The ancillary buildings of the quadrangle courtyard mainly include the screen wall outside the door, the screen wall inside the door, the gatehouse, the horse tie pile, the horse stone, the thorn shed, etc. The residential buildings are decorated with brick carvings, stone carvings, wood carvings, calligraphy and paintings, such as magpies, bats, peonies, lotus flowers, lotus pods, etc. The main parts of the decoration are concentrated on the roof ridge, eaves, wall leg openings, door pier stones, doors and windows, door hairpins, door covers, walls and screen walls of the building. Due to the restrictions of family status and economic conditions, the decoration parts, contents and degree of refinement vary. The main temple buildings include Guandi Temple (big temple), Niangniang Temple and Wudao Temple.

With nothing to do, I went to Cuandixia alone. The ticket cost 35 yuan, which included: 4 ancient villages (Huanglingxi Village, Shuangshitou Village, Cuandixia Village, Baiyu Village), scenic spots: Yixiantian, Huanglingxi is themed on the Anti-Japanese War, Shuangshitou is themed on stone houses, and Cuandixia is of course set against the backdrop of the most beautiful village. Baiyu has no special features, so it just built a big theater. Yixiantian is mainly due to the influence of "The Tou Ming Zhuang". You can drive into the scenic area, and every village has a parking lot. You can go around in half a day. The only one worth staying for a while is Cuandixia, which has mountains, temples, scenery, and culture. In short, you can go and see it when you have time. Living in the city for a long time, it is rare to see such distinctive villages.

Cuandixia Village is located in the deep mountains of Mentougou District, Beijing. The surrounding scenery is beautiful. It has been well preserved for hundreds of years since the Ming and Qing Dynasties. It is a famous historical and cultural village. Cuandixia Village is located in Zhaitang Town, Mentougou District, Beijing. Almost all the villagers in this village have the surname Han. Cuandixia is a national 3A scenic spot, a municipal civilized unit, and a municipal folk tourism professional village. In 2003, it was rated as one of the first batch of Chinese historical and cultural villages by the Ministry of Construction and the State Administration of Cultural Heritage. Compared with the Siheyuan in Beijing, the Siheyuan in Cuandixia has similarities and differences. The size of the main house in Cuandixia Village, the size of the wing room, where the gatehouse is opened, and where the central axis is located are all completely regulated by Feng Shui. The Azure Dragon on the left, the White Tiger on the right, the Vermillion Bird in front, and the Black Tortoise behind, the architectural concept is the same.
