In Pinggu District, I only know about this place because of the newly opened circular glass plank road on May Day. The parking lot of the scenic area is not big. You can also buy tickets on some travel websites, which are about 10 yuan cheaper. There are also packages with cable cars on the website, but there are no discounts for cable cars, so it is recommended to buy only a ticket and go in depending on the situation. There are two cable cars in the scenic area. You can take the Ruyiyuan cable car not far from the entrance, but you can't reach the top of the mountain. You have to walk a distance. If you climb the stairs on the right side of the scenic area, you will find a cableway halfway up the mountain. Even if you are ready to take the cable car (100 yuan one way), you still cannot reach the glass viewing platform after getting off the cable car. You still need to walk a distance, so this route is not suitable for the elderly and people with poor physical strength.



After entering the scenic area, we did not turn right and climb the stairs, but kept going forward. There are many views on this road and the slope is gentle.

We walked straight ahead from the entrance of the scenic area. It took a long walk down to the end of another "Ruyi Garden Cableway". This means that if you enter the scenic area, turn right and climb the stairs up the mountain, then take the Ruyi Garden cable car to the end. After getting off the cable car, you still need to climb a long flight of stairs.

It is said that going up a mountain is easier than going down, but when you actually start climbing, it is much faster to go down, probably in less than an hour.

The mountain is closed in winter and is no longer open to the public! It's a rip-off. I drove more than 200 kilometers back and forth yesterday. There was a guy lying at the door playing with his phone. He said in a very bad attitude, "Look at the cards!"

Shilinxia is an old scenic spot in Pinggu. The newly built glass plank road in the past two years has attracted more tourists. When we walked down from the top of the mountain, we had only 30 yuan left in our pockets. If you don't take the cable car, you can continue to go straight (go through Xiagushi - Luohan Cave - Tongtian Ladder - Lingzhi Pavilion - Shenfo Ear - Guanhu Pavilion). This road has good scenery and many pools of water. The first half of the road is relatively flat (Tongtian Ladder has a total of 218 sections and is very steep, so it is quite strenuous. If you have time, I really don't recommend coming here on weekends. There are too many people and it's not safe to go up and down the mountain.

Jingdong Shilinxia is located in Pinggu, next to Jinhai Lake. It is recommended to go up the mountain from the Longwangshan cableway. The road is relatively slow. There is only a steep wooden staircase when you are sitting on the aisle. After getting off the cableway, go to the observation deck, and you can also see the first gong of the Olympics, etc. It is very good. To enter the observation deck, you need to pay another 10 yuan for tickets, and you will also be given a pair of shoe covers. You can also buy a bottle of water at the ticket office for 5 yuan a bottle. Go down the mountain to the right after leaving the observation deck. Although the steps are a bit steep, there is a cableway called Ruyiyuan Cableway soon. It takes only five minutes to get to the entrance after getting off the cableway. It is very good. At the entrance of the scenic area: there is a large square with some simple children's amusement facilities, such as rapids and spaceships. The ticket gate is located under the Shilinxia stone tablet.



Main route: The route to the summit (which is the highest platform where the UFO is located) is mainly divided into long and short routes.



The long route follows the water, passing through canyon streams and the Jiutian Waterfall, and finally converges with the short route at the Lake Viewing Pavilion.



The gurgling stream in the canyon is very pleasant and suitable for summer vacation, but there are no other special features. On the way to Jiutian Waterfall, there is a wooden ladder with more than 200 steps, called Tongtian Ladder, which is very steep and dense, and goes straight up the hillside. For tourists with average physical strength, there is almost no room for breathing and stopping. In terms of viewing, this section is obviously added later. I personally feel that there are too many artificial traces, which destroys the harmony with the surrounding natural environment.



The scenery along the short line is very simple, without much shade from trees. This section of stairs extends upward and intersects with the long line at the Lake Viewing Pavilion. Above the Lake Viewing Pavilion is the only way up the mountain to the summit.



In fact, the scenic area is not big, with a total length of 6km, but what we didn't expect was that it took us nearly 3 hours to reach the top of the mountain from the lake pavilion. This section of the road is built between the steep slopes of the mountain with simple iron stairs and wooden steps. The narrowest part can only accommodate two or three people passing side by side. I have to worry about whether there will be safety hazards in the case of a surge in passenger flow. Thousands of tourists are jammed on this narrow road. When we went up the mountain, people kept discussing next to us. Looking at the congestion, don't think about going back before 5 pm. From time to time, we asked tourists coming down the mountain: What's the situation up there? They all looked exhausted and disappointed, saying that you have to queue up at the viewing platform when you go up, and if you are lucky, you can get it done in four hours.



We finally reached the top of the mountain with the thought that "it's not easy to come here, so I'll stick to it". However, when we saw the chaotic queue at the entrance to the observation deck, we were discouraged. Under the scorching sun, everyone was crowded together, with no formation at all. It took a long time to reach the top, and everyone was impatient. The mood was understandable, but for the sake of personal safety, we decided not to join the crowd. From the pavilion next to it, we took a few photos of the UFO and the crowds of people next to it. We also witnessed a fierce quarrel and dangerous actions such as climbing over the railing.



The infrastructure and catering services are not in place. There is no place to provide food and drinks during the climb.

It is recommended that you prepare food and water before going up the mountain.



There was a huge crowd while climbing the mountain, but we only encountered one staff member to maintain order.



Tickets: Original price 78, I bought a group ticket for 65 per person. The one-way cableway ticket is 50 on weekdays and 100 on weekends and holidays.



In conclusion: the scenery is average, and it is (recently) full of tourists. The ticket price is low. For safety and travel experience, try to go on weekdays and queue up early.

I just went to Shilin Gorge, mainly for the glass observation deck, which is really great and has nice scenery, but maybe there are too many people and the hygiene is not very good!

There is a cable car to go up and down, but it is still tiring to climb. It would be better if the route instructions were clearer.

Shilin Gorge was originally an ordinary canyon with a ravine between two mountains, but the developers used the spring water in the canyon to build cascade dams, creating small waterfalls, small lakes, and unique bridges.

The pavilions and the strangely shaped rocks on the mountain form a group of interesting small scenes, which are given poetic names to keep tourists interested during the climb. In particular, the games they designed are very interesting, making climbers forget their fatigue.

The winding mountain trails record the hardships, difficulties and determination of the developers of Shilinxia.

Various large-scale entertainment facilities have contributed to attracting more tourists to Shilinxia.

I went to Shilinxia Scenic Area when I was in college. The overall feeling was good and relatively cool. There were many farmhouses and restaurants around it. I didn't have to worry about food and accommodation. I recommend it.

It is recommended to wear hole shoes, which makes it convenient to play in the water. The mountain spring is very cool and comfortable. You can see many children holding nets to catch fish, and they are having a lot of fun.

Entering the scenic area, walking along the cement road made of stone slabs and cement, the grass and trees on the side are just light green, making people feel the budding breath of early spring. After a while, a pool of spring water appears in front of you, clear to the bottom, surrounded by huge rocks. Water is the soul of the mountain. With water, the mountain becomes more lively. The majesty of the mountain and the gracefulness of the water complement each other. This is the creation of nature.

After walking for a while, the sound of water began to linger in my ears, and the stream along the road gradually became more majestic. Now is the dry season, and the water flow is not very large, but with the company of clear pond water, there is less visual fatigue and it feels a lot cooler.

As you go further up, the mountains around you gradually become more distinctive. Some of the stone walls seem to be man-made, with neat layers, which makes people marvel at the wonders of nature.

I think the ticket to Shilinxia is too expensive, 78 is a bit steep.

There are several amusement projects at the entrance of Shilinxia Scenic Area, which are children's favorites. Parents should prepare a lot of money to buy tickets and let the children have fun!

I went there on a department trip in 2008. It was great. But there are a lot of stone steps. It might be tiring.
