Jingshan is located at the highest point of the central axis of Beijing. Climbing Jingshan, you can overlook Beijing and take in the ancient capital. There are peony exhibitions in spring, lotus exhibitions in summer, and chrysanthemum exhibitions in autumn. There are clusters of flowers in three seasons and evergreen pines and cypresses in four seasons. In addition to the beautiful scenery, this place is also full of the life atmosphere of old Beijing. Many people exercise here every morning and evening, mostly elderly people, and they also sing red songs here to recall the past.

Jingshan is located in Xicheng District, Beijing. Jingshan Park is located on the central axis of Beijing City, covering an area of 32.3 hectares. It was originally the royal garden of the Yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties. Jingshan is tall and steep, with lush trees and magnificent scenery. It is the best place to climb and overlook the whole city in Beijing. In the Yuan Dynasty more than 600 years ago, it was a small hill named "Qingshan". It is said that when the Forbidden City was built in the Ming Dynasty, coal was piled here, so it was commonly known as "Meishan". During the Yongle period of the Ming Dynasty, the soil excavated from the moat was piled here to build a tall earthen hill called "Wansui Mountain", also known as the "Zhenshan" of the palace. Flowers, plants and fruit trees are planted at the foot of the mountain, and it is known as the "back garden". Feudal emperors often came here to appreciate flowers, practice archery, have banquets, and climb mountains to enjoy the scenery. It is a beautiful royal garden.
The colorful flowers in the palace garden are full of spring colors
Tulips are divided into early-flowering types (single-petal and double-petal early-flowering groups), medium-flowering types (Triumph series, Darwin hybrid series), late-flowering types (single-petal late-flowering groups, lily-flowering groups, tassel-flowered types, green-spotted groups, parrot groups, Rembrandt types, double-petal late-flowering groups), variants and hybrids (Kaufman groups, Grie groups, Forster groups, other mixed autumn)
Flowering period: early April to early May
Features: 400 square meters of tulips with nearly 30 varieties and more than 30,000 heads are planted along the main road around the park, creating the artistic conception of a sea of tulips
Location: Mainly distributed on both sides of the main road behind Jingshan Park and the East Gate Scenic Area
If you don't want to walk around but want to visit many attractions.
If you are traveling to Beijing but don't have enough time.
If you don't want to spend too much money on tickets to attractions.
If you do not plan to enter the Forbidden City for various reasons, but still want to take a photo as a souvenir.
Then I recommend you to go to Jingshan Park. You only need to climb a short distance up the mountain to see the panoramic view of Beijing. The panoramic view of the Forbidden City is right in front of you, and the White Pagoda is not far away. You can also see the central axis of Wangchuan River and the Big Pants China Bottle. The ticket is only five yuan. It is simply a 360-degree observation deck for public welfare in Beijing! ! It is better to go at sunset! If the weather is good, under the sunset, there is a feeling that the city is so beautiful, I don’t want to be impetuous, and I feel like I own the imperial capital (haha).
The only three remaining achievements of Beijing from the Ming and Qing dynasties are the Forbidden City, the Shichahai water system in the middle and north, and the north-south central axis. In the case of drone bans, the only place you can see at one time is the Wanchun Pavilion in Jingshan. In order to avoid backlighting, it is better to shoot at sunrise or sunset. The best time is sunset, because you can shoot the golden moment of the Beijing CBD buildings and appreciate the ancient and modern magnificence of Beijing. The ticket is only 2 yuan, but electronic payment is not accepted, so prepare change! ! For details, please refer to China-TravelNote Travel Notes: http://www.mafengwo.cn/i/12034246.html
Two attractions in Jingshan
One is the place where he died for his country, and the other is where you can enjoy the panoramic view of the Forbidden City.
Especially a panoramic view of the Forbidden City
There are great requirements for sunlight refraction and hardware facilities.
I went there at 10am, and the photos of the west end were OK.
The east end is dark and blocked.
I think 1pm is the best time to take photos.
Jingshan Park and the Shenwu Gate of the Forbidden City are across the street. Since my husband didn't go to the Forbidden City, I said let's go to Jingshan Park and climb up to the Wanchun Pavilion to see the whole view of the Forbidden City. The ticket price of the park is absolutely reasonable, 2 yuan, and only 1 yuan with a student ID. We bought tickets and entered from the west gate. There was a security check at the door. Bags needed to be checked and lighters were not allowed. Most of the people who go to Jingshan Park are local Beijingers, and there are relatively few tourists. When we were still at the foot of the mountain and hesitating about how to take our daughter and the stroller up the mountain, the enthusiastic Beijing grandmother told us that there was a slope to the east and we could push the stroller directly up, but the slope was a bit steep!
After leaving the Imperial Garden, you will come out of Shenwu Gate and you will see Jingshan Park across the street. The ginkgo trees outside the park wall are very beautiful. As soon as you enter the park gate, you can hear music. It turns out that an old man is playing the saxophone. It matches the scenery of the park and has a unique flavor.
Jingshan is not very high and it only takes ten minutes to reach the top. From the top of the mountain you can overlook the entire Forbidden City and the beautiful central axis.
The two-yuan ticket price is very reasonable. Although there is only one pavilion to see, it is worth it.
It is the best place to overlook the panoramic view of the Forbidden City. It will be difficult to climb up if you bring the elderly and children.
I went there on the fourth day of the first lunar month. There were many people, but most of them left after seeing the panoramic view of the Forbidden City. So it was not very crowded.
Behind the Forbidden City is Jingshan Park. Looking down at the Forbidden City from Jingshan Park gives you a feeling of seeing the small mountains.
To be honest, Jingshan is not high at all, but you can see the entire appearance of the Forbidden City clearly from it. So, even if you want to appreciate the full view of the Forbidden City, you can't miss this small park!
What's more, the scenery in Jingshan Park is so beautiful. If you listen carefully, you can also enjoy the sound of various musical instruments in the park. It is indeed a good place to recuperate!
Jingshan Park is not big, and young people can spend 1-2 hours visiting the park. You can enter through the east, west, and south gates. It only takes 15-20 minutes to climb to the highest point and reach the Wanshou Pavilion. It is not very high, but it is located on the central axis of Beijing. Looking south, you can see the entire Forbidden City (the Palace Museum), the Great Hall of the People, etc. Looking north, you can see Beihai Park and its landmark White Pagoda. Coming down the mountain, you can see the ancient locust tree where Emperor Chongzhen hanged himself (the ancient locust tree was transplanted there later), and there are two stone tablets standing next to it. There is a Shouhuang Palace on the road from the east gate to the west gate. You can enter by scanning the WeChat QR code (free of charge). Inside is a place where the emperor's portrait is enshrined and the royal family tree and jade butterflies are collected. You can also take a look.
Tickets are 2 yuan per person, which is really affordable. Jingshan Park and the Forbidden City [Shenwu Gate] are across the street. Jingshan in the center of the park is not a natural mountain, but an artificial pile of earth. It was once the highest point in the city. Standing here, you can overlook the entire Forbidden City. That's right, if you stand here, you can show off to the people next to you: See, this is the kingdom I built for you!
Jingshan Park is located directly opposite the Forbidden City, separated only by a moat. It is a good choice to take a walk in Jingshan after having a cup of coffee.
In the capital city where every inch of land is valuable, is the cost of living very high?
In some ways, this is true, but from the perspective of ticket prices, the ticket prices for Beijing attractions are really reasonable, especially Jingshan Park. As a national AAAA-level scenic spot and the only viewing point overlooking the Forbidden City, guess how much the ticket costs?
If it were in other places, it would cost at least 30 or 50 yuan, right? As a result, the ticket to Jingshan Park is 2 yuan. Students can enter such a large scenic spot for only 1 yuan. Especially for first-time tourists, it is incredible.
The old name of Jingshan Park was "Meishan Park" because the coal slag from the imperial palace was piled here, and the pile got higher and higher and became a coal mountain. So even though Jingshan Park looks very beautiful now, it is actually a mountain of earth.
Jingshan Park is located on the central axis of the Forbidden City, just opposite the Forbidden City and bordering Beihai Park to the west. Standing on Jingshan, you can directly see the White Pagoda of Beihai.
Standing at the highest point of Jingshan, I can see the Prince's Mansion. The scale is very majestic! I don't know whose mansion it was during the Qing Dynasty. If anyone knows, please leave a message to answer. Thank you.
Jingshan is only 43 meters above sea level, but it is the highest commanding point around the Forbidden City. Therefore, many tourists come here every day to enjoy the panoramic view of the Forbidden City. However, not everyone can see the most beautiful Forbidden City. There is a key point: time!
If you want to see the scenery of the Forbidden City in Jingshan Park, the best time is before 12 o'clock in the morning. The sun shines directly on the Forbidden City, and the red walls and yellow tiles are particularly beautiful under the sunlight. However, after 12 o'clock, the sun shines directly on Jingshan. Standing on it, the Forbidden City is gray, while the many pavilions and towers in Jingshan in the opposite direction are blue sky and white clouds. Therefore, you need to arrange your own play time. I personally recommend going to Jingshan first and then entering the Forbidden City. Our itinerary was actually the wrong way.
There are five pavilions in Jingshan Park, all of which were inscribed with words by Emperor Qianlong. It has to be said that there is a reason for the prosperous Kangxi and Qianlong eras. Both emperors were men of great wisdom and talent. Not everyone can produce such beautiful calligraphy and poetry!
Jingshan Park is said to offer a panoramic view of the Forbidden City, but it’s actually not that bad, as the angle is a bit low.
The ticket price is 2 yuan, and the ticket window only accepts cash. If you use WeChat or Alipay, you need to verify a lot of things. We spent a lot of time to change it. Seriously, Beijing is such a big city, how come the tickets can't be paid directly by WeChat or Alipay?
Jingshan Park is just opposite the Shenwu Gate of the Forbidden City, which is also the exit of the Forbidden City. It only takes a few minutes to climb to the highest point. It is very low, hahaha.
Everyone comes here just to take a look at the Forbidden City.
Jingshan Park is just behind the Forbidden City. When you come out of the Shenwu Gate, you will see Jingshan Park right in front of you. The park covers an area of 32.3 hectares and was originally the royal garden of the Yuan, Ming and Qing dynasties. In the Yuan Dynasty more than 600 years ago, the place was a small hill called Qingshan. It is said that when the Forbidden City was built in the Ming Dynasty, coal was piled here, so it was commonly known as Coal Hill. During the Yongle period of the Ming Dynasty, the soil excavated from the moat was piled here to form a tall earthen hill called Wansui Hill. It is located right on the central axis of the city and is a barrier to the north of the palace, so Feng Shui masters call it Zhenshan. In the Ming and Qing Dynasties, many fruit trees were planted in the park, and animals such as deer and cranes were raised, so the foot of the mountain was once called Baiguoyuan. In the 12th year of Shunzhi in the Qing Dynasty (1655), it was renamed Jingshan. The name Jingshan has three meanings: first, it means tall; second, the emperors often came here to appreciate flowers, practice archery, have banquets, and climb mountains to enjoy the scenery, so it was a place for emperors and empresses to enjoy the scenery; third, it means admiration.
I have been to Beijing several times but never went to Jingshan Park. Firstly, the tour guides did not introduce it, and secondly, I did not make any travel plans. When I came out of the Forbidden City and the sun was about to set, I climbed to the highest point of Jingshan Mountain and could see the panoramic view of the Forbidden City and the White Pagoda of Beihai Park under the sunset.
Jingshan Park is very close to Beihai Park and the Forbidden City. It has three gates in total. The South Gate faces the Shenwu Gate of the Forbidden City, separated only by a road.
Jingshan has been an important part of the imperial palace since the Yuan Dynasty. Its construction scale is in accordance with the specifications of the imperial palace and it is of high grade. Jingshan was formerly known as "Wansui Mountain" and "Meishan"... It was built by pushing earth in the Ming Dynasty and was once the commanding height of the entire city.
After entering through the gate, you can see the Qiwang Tower, which is built against the mountain. In the evening, local people dance here, blending in with the scenery. It was a little late when we arrived here, so in order to catch the sunset, we hurriedly ran up the stairs to the highest point - Wanchun Pavilion.
There are already many people at Wanchun Pavilion at this time, waiting for the sunset. Unfortunately, the weather is not good and the gray sky makes it impossible to take the most beautiful panoramic photo of the Forbidden City. However, it is also very nice to appreciate it here. Climbing high and looking far away really makes people feel relaxed and comfortable.
Look south to see the Forbidden City, look west to see the White Pagoda of Beihai Lake, look north... I found that this place is really a beautiful scenery, with different colors in each season. Even before autumn comes, I can already see the autumn colors.
Jingshan is also the place where Emperor Sizong of the Ming Dynasty, Zhu Youjian, was hanged. There is an old locust tree there, which is said to be the place where Zhu Youjian hanged himself. It was a bit too sad, so I didn't take a photo of it.
It can be said that this was an accident and even a surprise.
After walking the entire length of the central axis, exiting from Shenwu Gate and heading up Jingshan is a common travel route. In the evening, the sun sets. Although Beijing's smog is quite serious, the afterglow of the sunset makes it even more gorgeous. We all know this. There is a tombstone on Jingshan Mountain engraved with the last moment of an emperor's life. Maybe because of this, there are so many crows, one group after another. Nature's mourning for history, or commemorating this historical decision-maker, is hard to explain, unclear, and obscure.
The 2 yuan ticket price is indeed a reasonable price!
Jingshan is not high, with the highest point only 45.7 meters. In addition to climbing to the top through the steps, there is also a barrier-free passage. We chose the barrier-free passage when we went up the mountain.
Climbing up to the highest Wanchun Pavilion, you can have a panoramic view of the entire Palace Museum. Against the backdrop of blue sky and white clouds, time seems to stand still at this moment, telling the stories layered within the palace wall...
The fast pace of Beijing always makes me want to stand in the center of the city and quietly watch the hustle and bustle of the city. Jingshan Park can be said to be the most ideal choice. I have been in Beijing for more than a year, but I haven't taken a good look at this city. On a weekend near winter, without any appointments, I quietly experienced the profound heritage of this city. The ticket to Jingshan Park is 2 yuan. It feels like a small garden around Jingshan. It is smaller and shorter than expected, but the scenery is exactly the same as imagined. Looking at the high-rise buildings from a distance, there is a family in every window. This is ordinary life!!!
Jingshan Park is located just outside the north gate of the Forbidden City. Although it is a royal garden, it is not a big deal among the many royal gardens in Beijing. However, the Wanchun Pavilion in Jingshan Park overlooks the entire Forbidden City and allows you to take panoramic photos of the Forbidden City. It is a must-visit place for tourists and photography enthusiasts who want to take photos of the central city of Beijing.
The ticket price for Jingshan Park is quite reasonable. There are many Beijing locals here. The local Beijing grandmas and grandpas like to come here to exercise. Of course, it is also a good place to exercise.
Jingshan Park is also a good place for Beijingers to appreciate crabapples, and the cost-effectiveness is extremely high. The crabapple flowers there come in many varieties, including white, red, yellow, purple, pink, etc.
Jingshan Park is a good place, where you can see the whole view of the Forbidden City.
Let you experience the shock that this imperial city brings to you from another angle.
The most important point is that the ticket to Jingshan Park is only 2 yuan. Isn’t it surprising? Is it worth it?
Jingshan Park is not big and the mountain is not very high, so it is easy to reach the top.
Standing on the top of the mountain and overlooking the entire Forbidden City, the golden roof and red walls look even more majestic against the backdrop of blue sky and white clouds.
It is only about 30 meters high. To the south, you can see the whole Forbidden City, to the north, you can see the Bell and Drum Tower area, to the east, you can see the Central Business District (CBD), and to the west, you can enjoy the spring scenery of Beihai Park! Highly recommended!
Wanchun Pavilion, the highest point of Jingshan Park, was built in the 15th year of Emperor Qianlong's reign (1750) and is the base point of the north-south axis of Beijing's architecture. It is known as the commanding height on the central axis of Beijing, the first place to view the beauty of Beijing, and the best place to overlook the Forbidden City.
If I were asked to choose my favorite park in Beijing, Jingshan Park would undoubtedly come out. This imperial garden from the Ming and Qing dynasties has given me so many surprises. Without further ado, here is a guide:
1. Jingshan Park has three gates: East, West and South. The East Gate corresponds to buses 111, 124 and Night Bus 2. The West Gate corresponds to buses 5 and 58. The South Gate corresponds to the Shenwu Gate of the Forbidden City in Beijing. Buses include 58, 101, 103, 109, 124, 128, Night Bus 13, Sightseeing Line 1, Sightseeing Line 2 and Sightseeing Line 3.
2. Tickets are 2 yuan (10 yuan during the event), which is very cheap. The opening hours are 6:30-20:00 from November to March of the following year (tickets stop selling at 19:30), and 6:30-21:00 from April to October (tickets stop selling at 20:30). It only takes about 15-20 minutes from the foot of the mountain to the top of the mountain;
3. There are tens of thousands of peonies and other flowers in Jingshan Park. There are cultural activities such as flower exhibitions in spring, summer and autumn. There are also activities such as viewing lanterns during the Lantern Festival.
4. The biggest attraction of Jingshan Park:
One is the Wanchun Pavilion on the middle peak. To the south, you can see the panoramic view of the Forbidden City. To the north, you can see the Bell and Drum Tower on the central axis. To the west, you can see the White Pagoda of Beihai. To the southeast, you can see Zhongnanhai. In front of the Wanchun Pavilion, there is a sign of "Beijing City Center". This is the center of the capital.
The second is the old locust tree at the eastern foot of Jingshan Mountain, where Emperor Chongzhen of the Ming Dynasty hanged himself. Although the old tree has been replaced by a new one, the stone tablet still remains.
Others include the Qiwang Tower where Confucius was worshipped, the Shouhuang Hall behind the mountain where the coffins of emperors of the Ming and Qing dynasties were placed, their portraits stored and ancestor worship was offered, the Yongsi Hall, the Guande Hall, the Huguo Zhongyi Temple and the Wuzuofeng Pavilion on the east side.
Jingshan Park, the ticket is only 2 yuan, it is a conscientious attraction. When I first came to Beijing, I thought the ticket to the Forbidden City was too expensive. Many years later, the ticket price of the Forbidden City is still dozens of yuan, while the ticket price of many scenic spots has soared to two or three hundred yuan.
The most famous place in Jingshan Park is probably the crooked tree, the crooked tree where Emperor Chongzhen hanged himself when Li Zicheng captured Beijing. I walked all over the park and found that the tree had been cut down long ago. There is nothing to say.
Climb up the hiking trail of Jingshan Mountain, pass Fulan Pavilion and Jifang Pavilion and reach the highest point of Jingshan Mountain, and the panoramic view of the Forbidden City will appear before your eyes.
This is the most reasonable ticket price I have ever seen, only 2 yuan! Just for this 2 yuan, I would come here no matter what!
The importance of Jingshan lies in the most classic panoramic view of the Forbidden City
I think if I have the opportunity to come to Beijing again, even if I don’t have time to visit the Forbidden City, I will definitely come to Jingshan again.
Jingshan Park opposite the Palace Museum is a must-see attraction. From here you can have a panoramic view of the Forbidden City. And at the center of Beijing, you can perfectly see the central axis of Beijing.
Jingshan Park is located at the center of the north-south axis of Beijing. It is adjacent to the Forbidden City in the south, Beihai Lake in the west, and Drum Tower in the north. It was once the highest point in the center of Beijing. I think Jingshan Park is the most recommended attraction in Beijing, no doubt about it! As the former imperial palace, in ancient times, who was qualified to stand on the top of the mountain and overlook the entire Beijing city, except for the emperor's family, but now you can really stand on Jingshan and overlook the entire Forbidden City like the emperors of all dynasties! Only by combining history with cultural and historical attractions can you be touched and full of pride! Only in this way can you remember it deeply and like it!
After talking about my own feelings, I would like to share some suggestions for visiting Jingshan Park:
In addition to being able to overlook the entire park from the highest point in Beijing, the main attractions of Jingshan Park are the Five-sided Pavilion and the Qiwang Tower. The Five-sided Pavilion is located in the east, south, west, north and center, and enshrines the Five-sided Buddha. The Buddha statues in the four pavilions in the east, south, west and north were looted by the Eight-Nation Alliance during the invasion of China. The Zhongfang Wanchun Pavilion is located at the highest point of Jingshan, and is the base point of the north-south axis of Beijing's buildings. It is known as the commanding height on the central axis of Beijing. The pavilion enshrines the Vairocana Buddha, who is the Dharmakaya of Sakyamuni Buddha. The original Buddha statue in the pavilion was destroyed in the 1960s and was officially opened to the public in 2000 after being rebuilt. The Qiwang Tower is located at the foot of the front mountain of Jingshan, facing the south gate of Jingshan. It is now also used for exhibitions to record the history of Jingshan and the imperial city of Beijing. Interested friends should not miss it!
As for the visiting time, it is recommended to go in the morning and evening. In the morning, you can overlook the sunrise over the imperial city, and in the evening, you can watch the sunset. Jingshan Park opens at 6:30, but according to the uncles doing morning exercises, you can actually enter the park to exercise before 6:30, and there is no entrance fee. I live far away, so I haven't tried it, and I'm not sure about the authenticity, so I just mentioned it. Tourists who stay in the surrounding area can get up early to climb the mountain, or try to enter the park early for free. In the evening, it doesn't feel too early, you can enter the park after 4:30, or go after dinner, especially for friends who want to take pictures. After taking pictures of the sunset at the Forbidden City and the White Pagoda of Beihai in Jingshan, don't rush to leave. Wait for the lights in Wanchun Pavilion to be turned on, go down from the south gate, and then you can take pictures of the night view of Jingshan!
Tour route: In the morning, it is recommended to enter from the East Gate and exit from the West Gate/South Gate, and visit Beihai Park or the Forbidden City according to your own arrangements; in the evening, it doesn’t matter where you come from, just go in directly. It is recommended to exit from the South Gate, where you can enjoy the night view of Jingshan Mountain and the Forbidden City Museum!
The ticket price is 2 yuan, which is really the conscience of the conscience. At that time, I sighed with my friends that with only two yuan, I can come to Jingshan Park twice a day. Beijingers are still happy. To purchase tickets, you can follow the WeChat public account "Travel in the Park" and buy tickets online. There are tickets for many attractions in Beijing. If you want a paper ticket as a souvenir, you can buy it directly on the spot. There are not as many tourists as other attractions!
When taking photos, weather is really important. Good weather and foggy weather are completely different!
Jingshan Park is located on Jingshanqian Street in Xicheng District, Beijing, China. It faces Beihai Lake to the west and faces the Shenwu Gate of the Forbidden City to the south. It is an imperial garden in the Ming and Qing dynasties. The park is located on the central axis of Beijing in the Ming and Qing dynasties. Jingshan, the center of the park, was once the highest point in the city. In the Yuan, Ming and Qing dynasties, Jingshan and its affiliated buildings were not only a royal garden for sightseeing, but also had multiple functions such as archery, funeral ceremonies, ancestor worship, official schools, farming, opera, and religion. At present, the park covers an area of 23 hectares. The park is lush with pine and cypress trees and is crowded with tourists. It is a unique place in the imperial city of Beijing. Climbing Jingshan, you can see the central axis of Beijing, which is very spectacular. After visiting the Forbidden City, you must go to Jingshan Park, and the tickets are extremely cheap and cost-effective.
The ticket is only two yuan, it is still worth a visit. You can overlook the entire Palace Museum, as well as the Shouhuang Hall. You can enter for free by swiping your ID card and learn about the rituals of ancestor worship in the Qing Dynasty. It is still worth the money.
After exiting the Forbidden City, there is an underground passage on the left hand side facing the Forbidden City gate that can lead you directly to the gate of Jingshan Park across the road without having to go through the traffic lights. The path you see at the first sight after entering the gate is very steep. Although it feels closer, there is another path that is slightly slower if you walk to the right, but it feels quite far, so it depends on your physical strength. The bird's-eye view is not bad, but maybe I am short, so the photos I took are a little blocked by the trees.
If you are not interested in the Forbidden City but want to see it, I suggest you go directly to Jingshan Park. You don’t have to walk for a long time to the top of the mountain. You can see far from the top. The scenery is very good and worth a visit! The green plants and flowers in the park are also very beautiful, and the environment is very good. Oh, the ticket we bought was 10 yuan each, I don’t know why the introduction said it was 2 yuan
Once the highest point in Beijing, the park is located on the central axis of Beijing. Under the steps of Wanchun Pavilion, the highest point, there is a bronze plaque marking this as the center of Beijing. The park holds exhibitions of peonies, peonies, roses, tulips and chrysanthemums every year. The beautiful flowers make people linger. There are many singing enthusiasts in the park, and there are many chorus activities and dance exercises. Wanchun Pavilion has also become a holy place for photography enthusiasts. Once a good astronomical phenomenon appears, the cameras and tripods here will fill up all the space, and it is difficult for ordinary people to get in.
As a sunset photography enthusiast, Jingshan is a place I often visit to check in!
I remember when I first went there, the 2 yuan ticket price was unbelievable...
Every time the sun sets, the highest point of Jingshan is always bustling with people!
Especially in winter, the strong wind blowing on the face like a knife cannot stop people's enthusiasm for waiting for the sunset!
There are not only sunsets here, but also choir rehearsals, bird-shooting masters, and the crooked tree that the tour group cares about the most...
If you go to the Forbidden City, you can go to Jingshan Park opposite after you come out.
If I come again, I probably won't go, because this height is not enough to overlook the Forbidden City. This is my personal opinion for reference only.
Don't take the bicycle for the two-dollar ticket. The scenery is still great. It's better to wait until it is repaired.
You can only visit the Palace Museum from Shenwu Gate, so visiting Jingshan Park on the way is a good choice!
Let’s take photos at Jingshan Mountain opposite Shenwu Gate. The last time we climbed Jingshan Mountain was in 1986.
I went there at night, thinking I could see the night view of the Forbidden City, but I didn't.
The main purpose is to see the panoramic view of the Forbidden City, which is very shocking. The climb is very short
Standing in Jingshan Park and overlooking the Forbidden City, I thought to myself how proud the emperor must be standing here, owning such a large palace and the whole world.
This is the best place to overlook the entire Forbidden City, especially in the evening. The Forbidden City under the setting sun must be very beautiful.
It's a great place to have a bird's eye view of the entire Forbidden City!
The ticket price is very reasonable. It is very impressive to take pictures of the Forbidden City from Jingshan. Now the Shouhuang Hall has been newly renovated, and there are more attractions inside.
景色很好的景山!!人巨多~~要來可能得一早就來了
Wanchun Pavilion in Jingshan Park is the highest point on the central axis of Beijing. It overlooks the Forbidden City and Beijing City, with the China Zun to the east, the Bell and Drum Tower and the Olympic Tower to the north, and the west gate is next to the east gate of Beihai.
The two-yuan ticket office can use the Beijing subway and bus card to enter the park directly. After a while, you will reach the mountain and sit on the pavilion to enjoy the whole picture of the Forbidden City. It is highly recommended!
Climb to the highest point of Jingshan Park and you can have a panoramic view of the Forbidden City.
It’s the season when peonies are in full bloom, and it’s my first time seeing the national flower.
The peony in front of the yard is wild and unrestrained, the lotus in the pond is pure and emotionless.
Only the peony is the true beauty of the country; the capital city is moved when it blooms.
I went there during the Qingming Festival. The ticket was 10 yuan, and I had to pay in cash. The environment in the park was very good, and you didn't have to go back and forth when you went up and down. It was just that there were too many tourists at the highest point, so I couldn't take a complete photo. It is recommended to go on a sunny day to see the Forbidden City more clearly.
Standing in the park, you can overlook the entire Forbidden City.
Tickets are 2 yuan, and you can see the whole Forbidden City from the top, which is also the center of Beijing.
Jingshan Park has a nice view, and there are five pavilions on the mountain. The highest pavilion is 90 meters above sea level, and you can overlook the Forbidden City, Beihai and the entire Beijing city by climbing up.
The scenery is pretty good. Worth recommending. Why do I still need to write?
Jingshan Park is located on the central axis of Beijing. It is the royal garden of the Ming and Qing dynasties. The Zhongfeng in the park was once the highest point in the old Beijing city. The pavilion on the Zhongfeng is called "Wanchun Pavilion". It is a must-see place for tourists to Jingshan Park. From here, you can overlook the entire central city of Beijing and take panoramic photos of the Forbidden City.
The annual peony exhibition is very beautiful. I will find a chance to take a panoramic photo overlooking the Forbidden City.
After leaving the Forbidden City, I thought I should go up to take a panoramic photo of the Forbidden City. The ticket was a reasonable price of two yuan, and it was very convenient to buy it directly by scanning WeChat. The pavilion at the top of the mountain was very crowded, and there was no guardrail on the side, which was very dangerous. People were crowded there to take pictures of the Forbidden City, and they could fall down in a few minutes if they were not careful. There was nothing worth taking pictures of in the park itself, and everyone went up to take pictures of the Forbidden City.
I didn't want to bring dry food to visit the Forbidden City, so I planned to have a meal in the palace. I didn't go to the famous ice house specifically, because I was afraid that it would be crowded with people later. In the end, I chose the Forbidden City Restaurant (yes, the name is the Forbidden City Restaurant); on the south side of Jingyun Gate (near the Clock Museum), we started eating at 10:30. There were not many people and it was very comfortable. The window was right in front of the exhibition hall of "Along the River During the Qingming Festival 3.0". There were only rice and noodles sets here, and I also ordered a cup of coffee, which cost a total of ¥88; the taste was unexpectedly delicious, and we ate it all. The plating and dining environment are also simple and comfortable. I love the Forbidden City!
In addition to overlooking the Forbidden City from afar, you can also visit the place where Chongzhen died for his country when you go to Jingshan.
If you feel tired or aggrieved, come to Jingshan to enjoy the fresh air, look out at the red walls of the Forbidden City, listen to the bustling crowds on the central axis of Beijing, and tell yourself that just hold on a little longer, everything will pass.
Wanchun Pavilion offers a panoramic view of the Forbidden City! There is also a locust tree among locust trees and the place where Emperor Chongzhen hanged himself
It snowed in Beijing on February 12, 2019, so I went to Jingshan Park to enjoy the beautiful scenery.
The scenery of Jingshan Park in winter is average and not very playable. We went directly to the top to see the panoramic view of the Forbidden City. It took about 10 minutes to reach the top of the mountain.
Opposite the south gate of the Forbidden City is Jingshan Park, a royal garden. The mountain is not high, so you won't feel tired when you walk up. Climbing to the top allows you to appreciate the beauty of the Forbidden City from another angle. It is worth a visit.
The 2 yuan ticket to Jingshan Park is really touching. At the foot of Jingshan, the crooked tree where Chongzhen hanged himself still stands, but it looks fake. It only takes five or six minutes to get from the foot of the mountain to the highest point, Wanchun Pavilion. This is the best place to overlook the panoramic view of the Forbidden City.
The 2 yuan ticket is great value.
Before going up the stairs, you can see the tree where Emperor Chongzhen hanged himself on the left side of the stairs (although it was replanted later).
The stairs are not long and it takes about 10 minutes to reach the top, where you can see the entire Forbidden City.
After visiting the Forbidden City, you can stop by Jingshan Park. The mountain is not high and you can walk up it quickly. Mainly, you can see the panoramic view of the Forbidden City. The view is still great!
If you don’t go to the Forbidden City, you must go to Jingshan Park!
The east gate of Beihai Park is opposite to the west gate of Jingshan Park. The brotherly friendship between the two is truly great! Buy your ticket and enter the park now.
It's not wrong to follow the crowd when entering the park. The park is very small and can be walked through in fifteen minutes. There is an observation deck at the highest point, and the Forbidden City is opposite. You can stop here, take some photos and rest for a while, then we will go to the next place.
Jingshan, located on the central axis, is the only high point within the Second Ring Road of Beijing. It is also the only place that overlooks the Forbidden City. If you want to take a panoramic view of the Forbidden City, Jingshan is indeed the best choice. Jingshan is not high, and it takes about ten minutes to climb to the top, which takes one hour. By the way, there is another discovery in Jingshan. Compared with the Forbidden City, there are few tourists here, but there are also red walls and golden tiles. If you are interested, you can add a few quiet tourist photos here
We went to Jingshan Park in the back. The highest point is a good place to take panoramic photos of the Forbidden City. It is said to be the place where Emperor Chongzhen hanged himself, but we didn't go to see it. It was too early when we went there, before sunset, and it was too bright.
After skating at Beihai Park, we walked to Jingshan Park. The ticket price was 2 yuan, and children were even half price. It was really generous! The mountain was not high, and it was nice to overlook the Forbidden City. Unfortunately, there was a little haze, so the photos taken with the phone were average! It would be better if the weather was good!
From the highest point of Jingshan Park, you can see the whole view of the Forbidden City. Unfortunately, the smog was quite serious when I went there that day, so the photos were not very clear. But standing at the highest point of Jingshan Park and looking at the Forbidden City, the visual is really shocking. I highly recommend everyone to come.
The tickets are also very cheap, 2 yuan each, yes, student tickets are 1 yuan each. When you go in, you will find many local uncles and aunts dancing in the square. Maybe this is a tourist attraction for many tourists, but for locals it is really a park for walking. I really envy the residents of the capital.
Jingshan Park is not big and can be visited in about an hour, mainly for viewing the view from the highest point.
Jingshan was first built in the 19th year of the reign of Emperor Dading of the Jin Dynasty. There are actually two classic landscapes to see. One is the Wanchun Pavilion on the top of the mountain. From the highest point on the mountain, you can overlook Beijing. The best view is the Forbidden City from a distance. To the north, you can see the Bird's Nest and the torch, etc.; the old locust tree where Emperor Chongzhen hanged himself, but the locust tree is not the same as it was back then. The third is the Peony Festival in April every year, when peony trees of all sizes compete for beauty.
