Juyongguan Great Wall

居庸关长城

Juyongguan is a famous pass along the Great Wall, known as one of the three major passes of the Great Wall. It is built along the mountain, with a plaque "The Most Magnificent Pass in the World" hung on the tower.
At the foot of the scenic area is the Juyongguan Scenic Area Square, where there is a stone gate called Yuntai, which is a white stone structure of Tibetan Buddhist architectural treasures, with Bodhisattva statues inside, beautiful and unique.
After buying tickets at the gate of the pass, you can enter the scenic area, where there are many cultural attractions such as Guandi Temple, Diecui Academy, Biaozhong Temple, Fengyu Warehouse, etc., which enshrine ancient celebrities and record the history of Juyongguan. There is also a small lake next to it, which you can visit one by one.
It usually takes two to three hours to climb the Great Wall to the top beacon tower. After reaching the top, you can see one of the famous eight scenic spots in Beijing, "Juyong Greenery". Juyongguan, known as the "No. 1 Pass in the World", is fascinating. Today, I saw the real thing and it really lived up to its reputation. The Great Wall on the mountain is winding and the towers at the foot of the mountain are majestic and magnificent. The scenery is so breathtaking that it is hard not to be inspired to write poetry.

During the Warring States Period, Juyong Pass was listed as one of the "Nine Passes in the World" in "Lüshi Chunqiu". It was already quite large in the Han Dynasty. It became an important pass of the Great Wall during the Southern and Northern Dynasties. In the Yuan Dynasty, it was a major transportation route from Dadu to Shangdu. In the Ming Dynasty, the status of Juyong Pass became even more prominent. Zhu Yuanzhang "expelled the Tartars" and drove the Mongols out of Dadu, but Emperor Shundi of Yuan Dynasty and others were still eager to make a comeback. In order to resist the invasion of the Mongols from the south, General Xu Da and Deputy General Chang Yuchun were ordered to build the Great Wall along the line from Shanhaiguan to Xuanhua Datong, and rebuilt the pass on the site of Juyong Pass.

Juyongguan is a famous pass along the Great Wall, known as one of the three major passes of the Great Wall, a national cultural relic protection site, 20 kilometers away from the Badaling Great Wall. The pass is built along the mountain and is very steep, with the momentum of "one man guarding the pass, ten thousand men cannot open it". The existing Juyongguan was built in the first year of the Hongwu reign of the Ming Dynasty (1368), and gradually fell into disrepair after the late Qing Dynasty. It was fully restored in 1992.

If you haven't been to the Great Wall, you are not a true man. Compared with Badaling, Juyongguan Great Wall is smaller in area and has fewer tourists, but the terrain is more rugged.

On the way to Badaling, you will encounter Juyongguan Great Wall. I heard that the scenery is very good and there are few tourists. It is also a popular place in the Great Wall in recent years.

Although Juyongguan Great Wall is not as famous as Badaling, it is also one of the well-known Great Wall scenic spots in Beijing. It has fewer tourists than Badaling and is closer to the city. It is still worth a visit. Juyong Diecui is one of the eight scenic spots in Yanjing. There is a steep section in the middle, with high steps and a long distance, so it will be a bit difficult to climb.

I can't remember the details of Juyongguan, but I searched online and found that it is "a famous ancient pass along the Great Wall north of Beijing, one of the 'Nine Passes in the World', the eighth of the 'Eight Passes of Taihang Mountains', and a national cultural relic protection unit." In 1982, Juyongguan was included in the Badaling-Ming Tombs Scenic Area Protection Area and became an important attraction. However, this part of the Great Wall was severely damaged due to the vicissitudes of life. The restoration project, which took four years and cost hundreds of millions of yuan, was completed in 1998 and officially opened to tourists. In 2013, tourists here can climb the Great Wall, go up to the Guanlou, appreciate the exquisite stone carvings of Yuntai, and visit various temples.

We went directly to a "big platform" at the beginning, which should be the Yuntai, which is the base of a large Lama pagoda across the street in the Yuan Dynasty. It was built in the Yuan Dynasty. The carvings on the Yuntai are extremely exquisite and are a masterpiece of Yuan Dynasty stone carving art. There was no tour guide at that time, nor the so-called guide now, and the bottom was not open. So I just took a casual look at the exquisitely carved "railings"!

Yongguan is not only strategically located, but also has pleasant scenery. As early as the Jin Dynasty, it was listed as one of the Eight Scenic Spots of Yanjing and has been passed down from ancient times to the present. Emperor Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty personally inscribed the four characters "Juyong Diecui"

After Zhu Yuanzhang conquered the Yuan Dynasty, although Emperor Shundi of the Yuan Dynasty was driven out of Dadu, he still wanted to make a comeback, recover the lost territory, and restore the rule of the Yuan Dynasty. Juyongguan was the only way for him to go south, so it was necessary to strengthen the defense facilities of Juyongguan. In the early years of Hongwu, the court sent General Xu Da and Deputy General Chang Yuchun to build Juyongguan City.

On October 4th, I went to climb the Juyongguan Great Wall. I took a bus from downtown Beijing and it took about two hours. There was no traffic jam or crowds. In my opinion, the experience of Juyongguan is much better than that of Badaling. Why bother to add to the traffic jam? This time, I toured the West Hill and East Hill Grand Loop Line, which took three and a half hours. The Great Wall Museum and other attractions at the foot of the West Hill are also worth seeing. I strongly recommend Juyongguan! It's a pity that the weather was not ideal that day, and there was haze, otherwise it would be so cool! ! !

In one sentence, the Juyongguan Great Wall is dangerous but pure and worth a visit!

During the October holiday, I went to Zhangjiakou to visit my relatives (Huailai County near Badaling). I drove thousands of miles and it would be a shame if I didn't go out to enjoy the beautiful scenery. I originally planned to take my children to Badaling Wildlife Park or Baili Art Gallery, but after reading the reviews, I lost interest. After thinking about it, I decided to climb the Great Wall. After all, it is close and it is a classic attraction. In addition, I heard that there are not many people at Juyongguan Great Wall, so I made up my mind to go there for fun.

It only takes 40 to 50 minutes to drive from Huailai to Juyongguan via the county road. There was not much traffic on the way there, but various constructions were still going on, so it was not much smoother. When we came back, there was a lot of traffic, and the traffic police began to divert the traffic, which was blocked for half an hour. Back to the Juyongguan Great Wall, the ticket price was 40 yuan, which was very reasonable when the ticket prices in China were skyrocketing. We started to climb the Great Wall, and it was really a climb. We took the west line, which was a big steep slope. The steps were 30 to 40 centimeters high, and the slope was probably 60 to 70 degrees. Basically, we climbed with our hands and feet. There were really not many people, which was different from the Badaling Great Wall. There was no herd phenomenon during the Golden Week. However, there were quite a lot of foreigners, and many of them were quite old, and they were both mentally and physically fit.

The Juyongguan Great Wall is worthy of the title of the most magnificent pass in the world. It has a dangerous terrain and the walls are steep and rugged against the mountain. It is very challenging. I think it is a more pure Great Wall and is worth a visit!

It's great. I took a taxi from the No. 16 subway terminal for 130 yuan. Because I went to Fenghuangling the day before and entered the scenic area at 4:30 pm, there was no sun and no one. It was refreshing and highly recommended.

Juyongguan, the "most majestic pass in the world", is the most dangerous and steepest of the Great Wall. There are relatively few people. Here I would like to remind you that if you have cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases, don't choose this place. The stairs of Juyongguan are very high and steep. There are few people, mostly foreigners. Many tourists only climb to the No. 9 beacon tower and return the same way. We climbed to the highest point, No. 12 Wangjing Tower, and then returned the same way. The higher we go, the fewer people there are. Some tourists also go around and go down the Great Wall. Returning the same way is the shortest...

I originally thought that climbing the Great Wall at the beginning of the trip would give me more energy, and it was indeed the case. Even my nearly 70-year-old mother climbed to the highest point with us. It was easy to climb up the mountain but difficult to go down. My legs became weak when I was going down. Fortunately, there were handrails. You can consider making the Great Wall the last attraction of the trip. Be sure to bring water and sun protection when climbing the Great Wall.

If you haven't been to the Great Wall, you are not a true man. Due to thunderstorm weather reports, Badaling was temporarily closed, so we had to go to Juyongguan, which is really far away from the city 😂😂 I took the subway and then the bus. There is a special line to Badaling. I went to Juyongguan by carpooling. I was anxious because of the traffic jams all the way, but when I arrived at the foot of the Great Wall, I felt that everything was worth it.

If you have seen the sea of flowers at the foot of the Juyongguan Great Wall, I believe you will no longer be interested in the artificial sea of flowers in those parks. Moreover, this place is open to the public for free, which was just revealed two years ago. Its popularity has soared in recent years. Any viewpoint on the mountain is full of camera positions, so if you want to take good photos, it is very important to occupy a position.

Those who love photography must set out as early as possible. On the one hand, parking spaces are limited, and if you go too late, the car will not be able to enter at all. On the other hand, if you go early, you can take pictures of the sea of flowers at sunrise by train. The earliest train should be from Yanqing to Huangtudian, passing Juyongguan at around 6:50. If you miss the first train, there will be a train from Huangtudian to Yanqing passing through the sea of flowers in about ten minutes. The next train will appear at around 7:20, and most of the subsequent trains will appear in the opposite direction every one or two hours, usually with an interval of more than ten minutes. Many people change places after taking pictures after one trip, and as a result, another train comes before they find the viewing angle, and they have to wait more than an hour to find the angle.

There are many people taking close-up photos next to the railway. If you climb up, there are several vantage points from which you can take panoramic photos of the entire sea of flowers, so don't linger on the railway tracks too much.

Finally, a reminder: those who take the bus should go down the mountain early, because there are very few buses and they are always full. Sometimes you can't get on a bus even if you see one.

Today's weather is very bad. Juyongguan Great Wall is close to the city, and it is completely covered with smog. I have mixed opinions about Juyongguan. I guess this section of the Great Wall should have been built later. On the one hand, there are many traces of construction. On the other hand, isn't it possible that the high wall was built in the opposite direction of Beijing? If you want to climb, I think Juyongguan Great Wall is still a good choice. Although the Great Wall is not long overall, the slope is super steep. The scenery of the No. 1 and No. 2 watchtowers is good, and I was lucky enough to meet the train to spring~

By Blade Dancer |

The slope of the Great Wall is very steep, and some sections are almost straight up and down, which is quite physically demanding, but the Great Wall is very clean and well maintained. The flowers on the high ground are in full bloom, which is still very beautiful. The staff are quite helpful and generally very enthusiastic. I parked my car in Parking Lot No. 1 when I went there, and I had to go around a long way to find it when I came back. The parking lot knowledge signs are not well done!

It is worthy of being a national scenic spot, with a superior geographical location, convenient transportation, and it is very clean. The best scenery is at the West Mountain Arrow Tower. Although there is no Juyong Green in winter, there are fewer tourists and the experience is good. The mountains are like screens, which is very enjoyable.

I was originally going to Badaling, but I heard from someone that Juyongguan is also good, and there are not as many people as Badaling~~ So I chose here~~~ I remember climbing to the highest beacon tower, it was so tiring~~ The Great Wall is really a great project~~ I hope I can have the opportunity to visit Badaling in the future

We went there on Saturday. When we got on the bus, we felt that there were a lot of people going to Badaling, but very few going to Juyongguan. As expected, there were not many people, and there were especially many foreigners going to Juyongguan. Juyongguan is really dangerous, and some of the steps are as high as your calves. But there were really few people, and you could enjoy the Great Wall well. It is divided into two sides. I suggest running on both sides, one is high, and the other can see the risks on the other side, which is very beautiful. However, 919 now goes to Badaling, and several buses to Juyongguan have been cancelled. You can take it to Shahe and then take bus No. 20. Bus No. 20 takes about an hour and a half. If you think it is too slow, you can take a Didi after arriving in Shahe.

During the short holiday, I went to Juyongguan to see the sea of flowers on the S2 line train. Unfortunately, it was not the peak flowering period, but luckily I caught the time when the two trains missed each other.

The Juyongguan Great Wall is famous for its danger. The West Mountain section of the Juyongguan Great Wall is more dangerous, with many steps over 70 degrees and many heights over 40CM. The East Mountain section is relatively gentle and much easier to walk. I only walked the West Mountain section, which took about two hours up and down. I went there on a weekend afternoon, so there were not many people, but there were indeed many foreigners. I only went to the West Mountain because I wanted to see the danger of the Great Wall. If you want to see the magnificence of the Great Wall, it is better to go to Badaling. 919 used to go to Juyongguan, but now it doesn't stop. I took 872 from Deshengmen West, and transferred to 879 at Dagongmen to go to Juyongguan. On the way back, I took Chang 20 to Nankou Intersection East, and then took 883 to Deshengmen. If you are afraid of traffic jams, you can first go to Changping Xishankou Metro Station, and then transfer to Juyongguan.

It's rare to climb the Great Wall in the middle of the day. We are very glad to come to Juyongguan Great Wall. Few people come here, but there are quite a lot of foreigners. It's super tiring. I couldn't hold on any longer... Fortunately, with the encouragement and support of my companions, I insisted on climbing to the end. We still didn't bring enough water. It costs 10 yuan a bottle to buy it there. Juyongguan is located in Changping, Beijing. It has overlapping mountains, lush trees and blooming mountain flowers. Juyongguan is the gateway to Beijing from the north, with the momentum of "one man guarding the pass, ten thousand men cannot open it". Recommendation index five stars 😜

The reason is that there are not so many people there, so you can have the time and mood to appreciate the beauty of the Great Wall. I have always wanted to write something about the Juyongguan S2 flower sea! I want to take pictures every year, and I realized it in early April this year. It is really beautiful! But sometimes the road is closed! For a person like me who travels all his life, of course I knew that the road would be closed. But it didn't stop me from taking pictures! Recommended to children who take pictures in Juyongguan! You can walk 500m down the small road at the toll station to reach the railway entrance. If you are not allowed to enter, you can also walk down the highway. There is a road leading up the mountain, a small road trampled by hikers. When crossing the river, there is a broken stone wall and you need to cross it. That proves that you have found the right one! You can reach the road on the opposite side. Even if it is closed, you can still go there! What about the specific route! I will draw it later!

I think it's worth it. I didn't plan to go to the Great Wall, but my good friend wanted to go there, so we went together. I checked the guide and found that Badaling was crowded, so I decided to come here. There are indeed fewer people and the scenery is pretty good. I think it's worth it. The ticket is not expensive, 35, and students can get half price.

But the wind is very strong on the mountain, so it's best to wear a hat

Another thing to note is that if you take the 919 bus from Juyongguan Great Wall, it is best to get off before 4 o'clock.

Without further ado, I'll post the picture.

It was a rare good day without haze, so we set off. Juyongguan is not as famous as Badaling, and the transportation is not convenient, so there are fewer people than Badaling, but the scenery is very good, and you can have a good time with fewer people. There is no noisy sound and it is not crowded. You can enjoy your play time quietly, unlike Badaling where people are everywhere taking pictures and waiting for people to pass by, haha. You can also see the small train to Badaling when you climb to the highest point, and sometimes you will chat with strangers. The sun is good and the mood is good, and you can see far from the top. However, Juyongguan is newly built, unlike Badaling, which still has a little trace of the ancient Great Wall. The most important thing is that the transportation is inconvenient. It is recommended to drive there. We got off at the Ming Tombs Scenic Area Station on the Changping Line of the subway. After leaving the station, we found someone to share a car for three people, 26 yuan each. It is not far from the Great Wall. It took more than ten minutes to drive there. We got off at about 3:30, and there happened to be a ride, which sent us down for 10 yuan per person. It was very cheap, but it depends on luck. The driver said it would be hard to get a car after 4 o'clock, so it's best to get off before 4 o'clock, but it's another story for night climbing. The driver said it would cost about 50 yuan to take a Didi one-way trip, which is a bit expensive in the morning, but it's okay for one person. You can also take bus 879, but the waiting time will be longer, and you have to walk a distance to get to the Great Wall after getting off the bus. In short, it was a very happy day, avoiding the vast sea of people and layers of smog.

We just went there yesterday, which is both the off-season and a Monday, but there were more people than I expected. We went from Changping Xiguan and took bus No. 68 at Nankou Market to the scenic area directly, which was quite convenient, but it was difficult to wait for bus No. 68, as it seemed to only come once every half an hour. If you climb the main line along the way, it is not very far, and you can finish the tour in about 3 hours if you climb slowly. In fact, there is the Great Wall on the opposite side, and there is a branch at Haohanpo, but we didn't go. The staff said that the section on the opposite side is steeper and the scenery is not as good as the main line, so we didn't go. If you want to thoroughly explore the entire scenic area, it will probably take 1 day.

I was planning to go to Badaling, but when I arrived at Beijing North Station at 9am and wanted to take the S2 line, I was told that I had to queue up and wait for the train at 3 or 4pm, so I decided to take a taxi. Then I got stuck in traffic on the way to Juyongguan. I finally got to Juyongguan and decided to get off. I thought there would be fewer people at Juyongguan, but unexpectedly, there were so many Chinese people. Just imagine how many people there would be at Badaling...

Eating: After passing the place with many cannons at Juyongguan, go up one level and there is a platform selling food and souvenirs. At the innermost part, there are shops selling coffee, noodles, and rice... If you want to eat, you must go early because the food will be sold out quickly. Basically everyone eats instant noodles.

Transportation: You must charter a car, or rent a car yourself, any car is fine, just don't think about taking a taxi back when the time comes, you can't get a taxi!!! Because we decided to go to Juyongguan at the last minute, we didn't make a good strategy in advance. When we came back, we originally planned to take the bus. The route is to go up along the toll station, turn left at the intersection, and walk straight ahead. There is a bus stop sign just before the intersection. But there is a traffic jam there. We waited for almost an hour that day and didn't see a bus. We wanted to take a taxi, but the driver raised the price. In the end, the taxi app was powerful. After swiping the taxi app for more than 10 minutes, someone finally accepted the order...

It is located 10km south of the Badaling Great Wall, 25km to the Ming Tombs, 41km to Longqing Gorge, and 55km to Guanting Reservoir. The geographical location still has some military significance. The existing Juyongguan City was built in the Ming Dynasty. After the late Qing Dynasty, it gradually fell into disrepair. The Guanlou and other historical sites were repaired later. Each step of the stairs in Juyongguan City is particularly high. Compared with Badaling, Juyongguan Great Wall is quieter. The most famous attraction of Juyongguan Great Wall is Yuntai, which is the base of the large Lama Tower across the street in the Yuan Dynasty and is also the earliest and largest existing street tower in my country. If you don't go to the Great Wall, you are not a hero. If you go to the Great Wall, you are a fool. Climbing the Great Wall is really tiring. The heights of the steps are different, and it is still very tiring to climb.

Juyongguan Great Wall is located in Changping District. The adult ticket costs 145 yuan, which is a bit expensive. I bought the ticket and went in through the entrance. After climbing for a while, I felt it was quite steep. After several hours of struggle, I finally reached the highest peak of the Great Wall. The scenery of the mountains is unobstructed. There is a road between two high mountains, like a ribbon. Cars are crawling on the road like little beetles. The Great Wall is winding and magnificent.

You can see it when you pass by Badaling Express, but if you want to go to Juyongguan, you need to take a car

During the more than half a year I spent in Beijing in 2012, I climbed Juyongguan with my friends. In ancient times, Juyongguan was a narrow valley passage from Beijing to the north or south, and it has always been a battleground for military strategists. In Beijing, many cars can directly reach Juyongguan. After getting off the car, you can buy a ticket and then climb the Great Wall. The Great Wall is basically built with large blue bricks from the Ming Dynasty. Some of them are reinforced with cement slabs in modern times... Some slopes are still quite steep...

Juyongguan is the most majestic pass in the world. It feels great to choose this section of the Great Wall where you have to climb both your hands and feet. It is very fulfilling to climb to the top. The steps are high and the spacing is small, which truly reflects the feeling of climbing the Great Wall.

Going to Juyongguan Great Wall was definitely just a coincidence. But it turned out to be a wonderful experience. I originally planned to go to Badaling, but there were too many people during the summer vacation and I couldn’t buy a ticket to Badaling. Then I randomly found a one-day tour of the Great Wall on the roadside and arrived at Juyongguan. There were few serious ones, but the scenery was definitely good. It was also a surprise.

If you haven't been to the Great Wall, you are not a true man. Climbing the Great Wall is exciting.

Actually, the place is not big. It is in the mountainous area of Changping. The city wall on the south is bigger than the slope on the north. Actually, the scenery is pretty good. There is a small reservoir below. The parking lot is relatively large. There are many licensed people on the city wall, selling popsicles and so on.

You must climb the Great Wall. It is best to spend a day to savor it carefully. The scenery should be different every time you climb a section. It should be said that your mood will be different. Don't go with a group. I was stupid enough to book a two-day tour of the Great Wall and the Forbidden City. I went to the Great Wall and the Ming Tombs on the first day. When I arrived at the entrance of the Great Wall, I was given a total of one and a half hours, and I had to get off after climbing a little. Then there was a super unpalatable group meal and shopping. I was so angry that I didn't go the next day and didn't want the money. I bought another ticket to the Forbidden City. So, you must go by yourself. Climb high. Sigh at the majesty of the Great Wall. And then feel the difficulty of building the Great Wall. Underneath each stone is the blood and sweat of the working people...

The magnificent Great Wall was built against the mountain, but unfortunately I didn’t have enough time to climb it all.

It was my first time to visit the Great Wall in my 20 years of life. “If you haven’t visited the Great Wall, you are not a true man.” Now I am finally a true man. The Great Wall is not as tall and wide as I imagined. Most of the steps are very steep, and only a small part of the steps are relatively flat. Climbing the Great Wall is really a strenuous job, not as easy as climbing a mountain. When you reach the first beacon tower, your arms and legs will feel a little tired. Of course, this is just a warm-up, and the next difficult part is still to come. I thought that there would be few people climbing the Great Wall in this smoggy weather today, but the fact is not as I imagined. Many foreigners with blond hair and blue eyes also came to try to conquer this GREAT WALL.

The walls of the Great Wall are full of tourists' names, both in Chinese and English. I felt very angry when I saw these marks, as if every one of them was engraved in my heart. No matter where these people are in the world, no matter how high their status is, no one is qualified to carve their names on the Great Wall. Every inch of it should be protected by all of us. Tourists come here and carve their names, perhaps to prove that they have been here, but what I see is some low-quality people doing something stupid and shameful.

"Juyong Pass with Greenery" is one of the "Eight Scenic Spots of Yanshan Mountain". Many people compare Juyong Pass Great Wall with Badaling Great Wall. There is a wildlife park below Badaling, and Badaling is more beautiful in terms of scenery. However, Juyong Pass has a national treasure-level building that Badaling does not have, which is Yuntai, a street bridge from the Yuan Dynasty. Many tour groups will take tourists to Juyong Pass Great Wall. Generally, you must go to the Great Wall early, especially during holidays. At around 9 o'clock, the Great Wall is basically blocked and you can't go down or up. Many people feel like they can't go to the toilet. Juyong Pass Great Wall is known as the world's most majestic pass. The mountains are green and the Great Wall is winding and far away, like a giant dragon lying on the mountain, magnificent and spectacular.

The ticket price is 40 yuan per person, and there are group purchase tickets online for 35 yuan per person. The original plan was to visit Juyongguan and Guyaju in one day, but we ended up spending one day at Juyongguan.

We went here in October, and if we drove on the Beijing-Tibet Expressway, we could just pass by. If there is a traffic jam on the expressway, we might as well take a stroll here, which we did. The ticket is 45 yuan per person. There is a large parking lot and rest area outside the ticket office. You can eat something and drink some water in the rest area to replenish your energy. There is a food supermarket at the entrance of the gate parking lot, which is very convenient. The Great Wall in the scenic area is divided into two parts, east and west. You can see that the road on the east side is shorter and not as steep as the west side. It took us 2 hours to climb and take pictures to complete the whole journey. If you have enough time, it is recommended to climb the west side, which is very challenging and not crowded. The staff said that the one on the west side takes half a day. Overall, it is not as majestic as Badaling, but it does not affect our appreciation of its beauty and grandeur. In this regard, you can experience it more deeply on the Great Wall with fewer people. In addition, what makes us a little scared is the stink bugs all over the Great Wall! There were seven or eight of them flying around on a square meter of the wall. One of them almost flew onto my face when I was taking a photo. There is also a water area at the foot of the Great Wall. There is an old pavilion there. It feels good to sit there and watch others climb the Great Wall. We saw the No. 68 green bus passing by the gate. It is not far from the city center. It is recommended to come here for a visit.

The cold wave hit, so I didn't get to go to the Badaling Great Wall. Juyongguan is indeed the most majestic pass in the world. The wind on the wall was very strong, and there was a thin layer of ice on the ground, which made it difficult to walk. But I was still very happy. The ancient people were really great.

The Juyongguan Great Wall is located in Changping District, Beijing. The ticket is 45 yuan. I got off at Nanshao Station of Changping Line Metro and took Chang No. 11. I got off at Nankou Town Market and transferred to Chang No. 68 to reach Juyongguan directly. Juyongguan Great Wall, the world's most majestic pass, is more difficult to climb than Badaling Great Wall. Since Juyongguan Great Wall is an irregular circle as a whole, few people can climb it all (the whole body will be sore the next day after climbing a circle). There are not many people in the second half. It feels very quiet to look at the green mountains, green waters, and the Great Wall alone. The most popular one is Juyongguan Nanguan Wengcheng. Generally, most people start climbing here (very close to Yuntai). Many tourists only climb halfway and then go down because of lack of physical strength. (In addition, the water on the Great Wall is surprisingly expensive. Mineral water costs 5 yuan. Be sure to bring enough drinking water before departure and replenish your physical strength before climbing.)

I had never been to the Great Wall in Beijing before. I went there during the summer vacation with my family of three. After all, we are not from Beijing. We all know the Badaling Great Wall, but we don’t know how to get there? It happened that there were three teachers and students from Northeast China who rented a car together. We passed by the Ming Tombs but didn’t go in. The driver took us to the place where we knew it was the Juyongguan Great Wall. No matter which section of the Great Wall, it shows the labor wisdom of the ancient people. The scenery is beautiful and the air is pleasant. I met a middle-aged woman who had heatstroke on the road and helped her cool down. The staff of the Great Wall took the trouble to run to the top office to bring her some cooling oil. It was really touching!

I went to the Great Wall with a one-day tour group. I was so pressed for time, only four days left to reach the top, woo woo woo. But I met a friend from Guangdong on the way, and it was quite fun to have him accompany me. I hope I can have the opportunity to come again next time!

This world-famous Great Wall is indeed magnificent.

Only when I got here did I realize, my god, it was so magnificent. I really admired the people at that time and mourned for their blood and sweat! !

Juyongguan Great Wall is divided into two routes with the world's most majestic pass as the boundary. One is relatively gentle, which is also the route arranged by the tour group for us to play, because it is more time-saving and also suitable for the elderly in the group to climb up slowly......... The other is more dangerous and steep, but because I was with the tour group, I was unable to go up and experience it properly. After climbing down the gentle side, I and several group members with better physical strength climbed up the first beacon tower on this side and then came down in less than 20 minutes before leaving the pass. This side is almost 70-80 degrees inclined, and the height of each step is more than 50cm. Climbing it will really make people breathless, and truly experience that it is not easy to be a hero........................

The majestic and imposing Great Wall is the most majestic pass in the world. “One man guards the pass, ten thousand men cannot open it” and “One who has not climbed the Great Wall is not a true man” kept popping up in my mind. My feeling is: I am so proud and confident. Climbing the Great Wall is really tiring. The ancients were simply omnipotent.

The scenery of the Juyongguan Great Wall is also very good. You can go up to both sides of the tower. One side is relatively stable and suitable for the elderly and children, and the other side is steeper. There are former artillery positions on the tower, and there is also a cloud platform in the city with many exquisite reliefs on it!

In fact, Juyongguan is more beautiful, steeper and more challenging. I took the bus, so I waited for a long time and arrived at two o'clock.
