Lingshan Natural Scenic Area

Donglingshan Scenic Area is Lingshan Scenic Area in Mentougou District, Beijing. It covers an area of ​​60 square kilometers and is located in Qingshui Town, Mentougou District, Beijing. The main peak is 2,303 meters above sea level, which is the highest peak in Beijing. It is known as the "Mount Everest" in western Beijing and has become a popular hiking destination for eco-tourism and outdoor enthusiasts in Beijing.

Lingshan Scenic Area and Baihua Mountain are close in distance and have similar scenery. I prefer Lingshan. The reasons are as follows:

1) You can see beautiful scenery while climbing Lingshan Mountain, but it seems that you can only see it when you reach the Baihua Meadow in Baihua Mountain.

2) The top of Lingshan Mountain is more open, with larger meadows and herds of cattle and sheep.

Lingshan Scenic Area, the scenery is needless to say, especially when it is rainy, the top of the mountain is shrouded in clouds and mist, walking through it layer by layer, like a fairyland. Although the process is difficult, when you reach the top, you will feel that everything is worth it.

Dongling Mountain is currently closed to official channels. You can only climb from Juling Gorge. It takes more than 3 hours to climb. The ticket price is 30

It is a pity that the business has been suspended due to vegetation destruction and other reasons.

Lingshan has a unique flavor in winter, and I look forward to visiting it again in summer.

It snowed again these two days. I came unprepared and couldn't go up the mountain. The village at the entrance was under construction and the bus only went to Hongshuikou Station. It cost 50 yuan to take a taxi. Finally, I decided to walk on the Lingshan Ancient Road in Hongshuikou. The ticket was 30 yuan and there was nothing to see! You can walk to the main peak, but it takes about 10 kilometers. I can't walk! I can't walk!

I have always wanted to climb the first peak in Beijing, Lingshan Mountain. After checking the travel guide, I found the Lingshan One-Day Tour of China-TravelNote. The price is affordable and it is convenient to get on the subway. On October 27, after more than three hours of driving, we arrived at the foot of Lingshan Mountain (the route is good and the ticket is free). We started the three-hour climb to the top. The hard work was not in vain. The weather was really good. The clouds rolled in the sky and the shadows of the clouds floated under the mountain. It added a bit of charm to the "seeing all the mountains at a glance". It was really worth the trip. Finally, the dream of climbing to the top of Lingshan Mountain came true. The only drawback was that my hands were still frozen even with thin gloves. I took a few pictures and went down the mountain, which took about two hours. This trip was good. I will definitely come again in the summer to see the sheep and yaks on the alpine meadows.

A one-day tour group climbed a wild road that was not crowded, probably because it was the National Day holiday. The first 1/3 was a little difficult, and I was afraid of slipping, but it was actually okay. The middle 1/3 was very easy, with the best scenery. The last 1/3 had some slopes to the top, all steps, and it was not difficult to walk. I personally liked the scenery of the alpine meadow in the middle the most. I plan to go there again next summer and camp. I'll bring my ukulele and sing a song.

The accommodation is all farmhouses, and the conditions are average. It is really cold on the top of Lingshan Mountain. It is September 22nd now. I always wear shorts and short sleeves at home. Today, I am freezing in a coat and long pants on the mountain.

Lingshan Scenic Area is being adjusted. It was closed on July 7, 2018. The entrance was so shabby that I thought I had gone the wrong way. After parking the car, the locals said this is it, just walk in. It saved the ticket money perfectly. I couldn't walk halfway up the mountain. I wanted to give up because the road was steep and sunny. I met a big brother who told us: Now the third of the climb is the most difficult. It will be fine after this section. Sure enough, after walking through this mountain, the whole world is cool. The temperature of all the misty peaks dropped rapidly. I was in the white mist. Well, I am going to become an immortal.

It is so beautiful to go there now, with wild flowers everywhere, stretching like a carpet. Riding or walking on horseback is like being in a painting. There is no ticket, accommodation is affordable, and the food is acceptable, just home-cooked food. The horseman can lead the horses to the sky garden or the main peak. There may be fewer horses next year, so hurry up and experience the place you are reluctant to leave.

Going out mainly depends on the weather. The scenic spot has been abandoned, no one is in charge, there is no ticket, of course, and no toilet. But the meadow on the top of the mountain feels pretty good, haha, very close to the sky!

Don't go. The thing I regret most is climbing a mountain without broad-leaved forests on April 29, 2016, the hottest day in April in the past 66 years. There was no shade, no scenery at all. Halfway up the mountain, my husband and I couldn't stand it anymore and started to walk down! I regret it so much!

I won't say much. I went there in early February. It was an outdoor route. Of course, I followed an experienced tour guide. It was my first time to really go outdoors.

I experienced what is called "one of the top ten deadly outdoor routes in the suburbs of Beijing". Climbing Dongling Mountain in winter is really a challenge, even a life-threatening one. In the winter of 2017, there was no snow in Beijing, but there was still ten centimeters of snow in the shade of Lingshan Mountain.

We arrived at Xiamawei at 10:30, and then started to climb, and reached the summit at 14:00. I was almost exhausted before reaching the summit, and I had to grit my teeth to get there. The wind at the pass was so strong that I could almost take off. My phone was frozen and shut down before I reached Wuzhi Mountain. I used my friend's phone to take photos when I got to the top of the mountain. The temperature at the top was below -15 degrees Celsius. With the strong wind, the perceived temperature was even lower.

Lingshan is a good place. Let's go there again if it snows heavily this year.

Lingshan is the highest mountain in Beijing. Many people exaggerate the difficulty of climbing it. In fact, in my opinion, it is only as difficult as Phoenix Ridge. So Lingshan can basically be described as a high and gentle mountain that can be climbed up.

Notes on the blackboard:

1. Water: 2L per person is enough in winter, and 6L x3 in summer

2. Anti-ultraviolet rays This is my first time climbing Lingshan Mountain. The weather is as shown in the picture. There is no bursting sunshine, but my neck and face were burned by ultraviolet rays. I guess they will be completely dark. Therefore, you must bring sunscreen when climbing. It is also necessary on cloudy days. Prepare a personal anti-ultraviolet skin clothing and a mask. Pay special attention to this.

3. The climbing time was 3.5 hours to go up and 2 hours to come down. I took a very relaxed time and had a picnic after almost climbing.

4. You can bring your favorite food, walk around, and experience the feeling of the food exploding on your tongue in the mountain stream

5. It is recommended to get up early for mountain climbing. You can find an inn at the foot of the mountain the day before and stay there for about 150 yuan.

6. Go camping to watch the sunrise and the sea of ​​clouds. Go with friends. Others camp on the top and side of the main peak. Pay attention to the weather, food, communication, etc. I don't have much experience with this.

7. Tickets Lingshan is too big and the developer can’t seem to keep it all. It’s not profitable and is now free.

8. Empty the toilet before going to the toilet. The toilet on the road will make you doubt your life. Men can do whatever they want. Of course, there are small forests and grasses. You can also fertilize if you have to.

9. Traffic The highest mountain in western Beijing. From Beijing to the West Fifth Ring Road, it is basically mountain roads. Drivers must have driven mountain roads, and they must be experienced drivers who can handle both open and hidden bends, and they must be careful and courageous. I saw two car accidents on the road. One was a collision with an oncoming car while overtaking on a bend, and the engines had to be overhauled. The other was on the Lingshan Mountain Climbing Road. The lanes on Lingshan Road are relatively narrow, and you must leave enough distance for oncoming cars when entering and exiting the bends. The speed should be controlled between 30-40 when going up and down the mountain. It is best to switch to manual transmission to control the speed when going down the mountain. In addition, don't be led by other cars, use your own pace.

I went there with my friends in early April. Local friends said that no one has managed this place for many years. There are indeed no man-made facilities along the way. The cable car area has become a plastic bottle collection area...



Since it is early spring, the grass on the mountain is not green yet, and it is showing a stubborn yellow after winter, which is another kind of beauty. It should be even more beautiful in summer! Another beauty is that it is when the peach blossoms are in full bloom, and it is particularly pleasing to the eyes to admire the peach blossoms all over the mountain along the way.



Although Lingshan has not been managed for a long time, the paths leading out have not been completely covered, saving a lot of detours. Thanks to the friends who have come here for vacation😄



It takes about 2 to 4 hours to climb the mountain. People with good physical strength may reach the mountain within two hours. If you are not physically strong, you can definitely climb up as long as you grit your teeth, but you need to pay attention to not climbing too late, it is best to start before 1 pm. People with good physical strength don't have to worry about this problem😄



We had to climb over several small hills to reach the top of the mountain. Several times we thought we would reach the top after climbing over the next hill, but we found a higher one after we climbed over it. Finally, we reached the top after we could no longer see any higher peaks. The first thing that caught our eyes was a very high pile of stones, which must have been piled up piece by piece by tourists. Then we saw the stone tablet of the main peak of Lingshan, the highest peak in Beijing.



By the way, if you are not going in summer, remember to bring thick clothes. The wind on the mountain is quite strong at sunset in the afternoon. Also, be sure to bring enough water. Climbing consumes a lot of water, especially in this kind of "wild mountain" where there are no shops selling water along the way. Remember that water is the most important thing~



Finally, let’s talk about travel. Since Lingshan is far away from the city and there are few tourists, it is recommended that you drive there by yourself... Public transportation has two fatal pains. One is that there are very few departures every day. I heard that there are only two or three trips. The second is that after getting off the bus, you still need to walk a long way to reach the foot of the mountain. People with poor leg strength may want to go back before they reach the foot of the mountain 😅



At 2303 meters above sea level, it is a comfortable and joyful vacation. When the mountains are covered with green, we will make an appointment to go back for a second trip.

I climbed Lingshan Mountain in late September. The temperature was relatively low, the top of the mountain was very windy, and the surrounding scenery was relatively plain and not that beautiful. The sand and gravel on some slopes were loose and slippery, so climbing was not difficult, but it took time. It took about 2 hours to climb half of the 10-kilometer round trip.

It takes about three hours to drive from Beijing. The road conditions are not bad and there is no traffic jam along the way, but the mountain road is dangerous and you have to be careful. There are many scenic spots along the way, such as Miaofeng Mountain, Shuanglong Gorge, Jingxi Eighteen Ponds, etc. You can play all the way there. Lingshan should be the farthest. It may be because of autumn. The higher you climb, the stronger the wind is. It is very cold and there is a lot of dirt. The road is different from the mountains in the scenic area. It is very landslide and closer to undeveloped. The big sister who solicits horse riding business on the road said that you have to climb Liulang Mountain and Erlang Mountain to be the main peak of Lingshan. It is more physically demanding. If you want to climb to the top, you still have to be fully prepared. I only climbed to the top of the first mountain, and it took two hours to go back and forth. It was a bit boring all the way. In addition, Lingshan was unattended and garbage was rampant. There were also safety hazards. It was difficult to find a place to rest on the damaged steps and landslide dirt roads. If you want to climb to the top, you have to hurry up and bring water and food to fill your stomach. Personally, I think it should be more beautiful when it is green in spring, but autumn makes Lingshan look particularly desolate. It would be better if you have the opportunity to come in spring.

I have never climbed such a steep mountain. It is really a great exercise!

It's a good place to exercise. The scenic area is closed now and no entrance fee is charged. Hurry up and go there because there is no free land to step on.

I like climbing Lingshan before the plank road was built. There are big white clouds floating in the sky, large meadows for you to run, and the whole world is quiet, as if you are in a fairy tale world where you can dream.

It rained when I was going down the mountain, and I almost didn't make it back

Lingshan Mountain is the first choice for mountain climbing in Beijing.

The scenery is nice, but horseback riding is expensive, which is a rip-off. I suggest you climb up and drive through the main gate by yourself. There is no entrance fee and no parking fee. The disadvantage is that it is too dirty, no one manages it, and there is garbage everywhere. Many climbers will pick up garbage with plastic bags when they go down the mountain, but there are too many to pick up. . I hope everyone will protect the environment, put the empty bottles in the bag, and throw them in the trash can when you go down the mountain. The garbage really spoils the scenery. .

With an altitude of 2303 meters, it is the highest peak in Beijing. There are many kinds of plants on the mountain. It is cool in summer and the flowers are beautiful. Be careful to keep warm when you go there in spring and autumn.

Driving up from the bottom of the mountain, the mountain road, the winding mountain road, is more steep than Miaofeng Mountain. When I went there, the entrance fee was no longer charged. I could see people riding horses up and down the mountain. The main peak is 2303 meters. The mountain is not very steep. I went up from Dongling Mountain.

Tickets are no longer required. If you want to hike or take the bus, you must plan your time well because there are basically no hotels open around the scenic area during this season. Public transportation is also inconvenient, with only two buses a day. We were very lucky to meet all kinds of kind people this time. It is under development. Currently, there are no free entertainment activities except horse riding. It is a good place for self-driving picnic.

The first time I went to Dongling Mountain was during my undergraduate internship. My three classes of students, led by our botany teacher, took a long time to climb to the top. It was the longest mountain I had ever climbed.

Now Lingshan Mountain does not charge entrance fees, only Hongshuikou charges entrance fees. They are all done by the villagers themselves, which is not formal. Now Lingshan is a barren mountain. There is nothing for sale on the mountain. There is only a villager at the top of the mountain who sells water and food. You must bring enough rations. People with poor physical fitness can ride horses. It is 120 round trips. I climbed up on foot. It took about 2 and a half hours to reach the top of the mountain. The scenery on the top of the mountain is the most beautiful. You should bring more clothes when you go up the mountain. It is relatively cold, especially at night. It is about 10 degrees. It is recommended not to play too late. It is easy to get lost when you come back, and people will die. Many people have died on the mountain. Most of them walked into the woods where no one went at night and got lost and trapped in them. I didn't go down the mountain until 8 o'clock in the evening, and I was almost trapped in it. There are many small paths on the mountain, and it is easy to go the wrong way. There are jackals and leopards on the mountain, and the most wild boars, especially when winter is coming. These are all said by local villagers. There is nothing wrong in spring, summer and autumn! When you go back, it seems that there is only one bus, which is the 3:40 bus down, so don't be late. The fog was too thick on the day we went there, and the Lingshan cable car was not open this year. It was sad. The top of the wild mountain we climbed is a meadow and a good place for hiking when it rains.

Arrived at the entrance of the scenic area, it takes about ten minutes to drive from the "ticket office". Passing a large area of ​​farmhouses, various hotels and restaurants named after people, it's very funny~! There is a parking lot here. After parking here, you can take the cable car directly. Only after passing the farmhouse can you see the true appearance of Lingshan. When the meadow appeared in our car window, we were almost crazy. We can only say: It's awesome! Then here there will be many villagers riding electric donkeys to your car and ask if you want to ride a horse. They will ride an electric donkey and follow our car until they force us to a parking lot. There are many horses there. Riding a horse depends on personal needs. We really have too much stuff, so we chose to ride a short distance of horse. We can ride directly to the main peak and get a discount for round trip, about 150-200. There are yaks halfway up the mountain! Considering safety issues, we set up the tent near the path people walk. There is no signal on the mountain and we can't connect to the Internet at all. The scenery along the way is very "cold". The main peak seems to be close at hand, but it is far away when you walk. It seems to be far away when you walk, but it is close at hand when you walk.

I saw a huge Mani pile. There is a place for worship in front. Some hikers actually set up tents on the main peak. The sun has been out for a while. The sky around is red. It's awesome! I saw a good sunrise. After watching the sunrise, we went to a "haunted house" together. It was almost on the hillside parallel to us. From a distance, it looked like an abandoned prison. It was a bit weird. When I got closer, I found that there were many horses grazing around. I thought it might be a stable or people living here! But when I got to the nearest place, I found that it was an abandoned cave! And there were holes in the wall. Sure enough, it was the best place for the courage test. The way down the mountain is a great challenge to the calves and knees. So even though I was not panting, I still needed to stop and rest occasionally. I still sighed that the road to Lingshan is really long.

On Friday night, a group of ten people, three cars set out from Yizhuang. We took the Fourth Ring Road, which miraculously had no traffic jams, and the other two took the Fifth Ring Road. "I'll drive the car to the Fifth Ring Road!" We arrived at the hotel at around 7 o'clock. At night, we brought our own drinks to the food stalls. The ten-person trip cost more than 800 yuan, which was okay. Then we sang and had fun until 3 o'clock and went to bed. The next day, we woke up, had a good meal, and walked towards Lingshan. We walked and played, passing by Zhaitang Reservoir, a clear pool! Haha, the water was very clean. Everyone stopped to see the scenery and take pictures. It was already 4 o'clock when we arrived at Lingshan Farmhouse. Some people wanted to play mahjong, so the three of us chose to ride horses up the mountain. It was a big circle of 160 yuan. We didn't know it was expensive until the next day, but it was worth it. The scenery was so beautiful and magnificent! At 5 o'clock, we had to put on down jackets when we reached the halfway point of the mountain. We couldn't see the sunset. When we came back, it was just 7 o'clock for dinner. We were a group of hungry wolves. All the dishes were eaten in seconds. We rushed to eat. After dinner, we went to bed. Some people played cards and slept until 11:30 at night. We got up and ate instant noodles and prepared for night climbing. Along the way, everyone encouraged and supported each other. We saw six or seven shooting stars and the entire Milky Way. We had never seen such a beautiful starry sky. We were a team under the starry sky. We successfully reached the summit, 2,303 meters above sea level, and were frozen to death! We saw the sunrise, which was worth it! However, the sunrise here does not feel as beautiful as the sunrise in Wuling Mountain, but it is the most unforgettable!

There is a cable car in Lingshan Scenic Area. It is an open cable car without a cabin, which is very suitable for taking photos. I don't know where all the scenery photos I took are. Winter Tour of Lingshan

I just want to go to the top of the mountain to have a look!

Depart from Wangjing at 7am, take Fushi Road, National Highway 109, Lingshan (no tickets required), and have noodles at Wangjing West at 6:30pm.

The wind was too strong and the road was too slippery (making an excuse), so we failed to reach the summit and climbed to 2,080 meters.

There are many birch trees and horses. Although it was late autumn when I went there, the scenery was still very good. I will go to see the scenery earlier next year. The sanitation of the scenic spot is not good. There is a lot of horse manure and domestic garbage on the mountain. I hope tourists will consciously protect the environment and take away the garbage.

Lingshan Natural Scenic Area is located in the northwest of Mentougou, west of Beijing, 122 kilometers away from Beijing. Qiding Peak is 2,303 meters above sea level, the highest peak in Beijing and the roof of Beijing. It is adjacent to Zhuolu County in Hebei in the north, Longmen Forest Park in the west, Longmenjian Scenic Area in the east, and National Highway 109 in the south. Due to its high altitude, Lingshan has formed a natural scenic area in Beijing with fault mountains, fold mountains, steep peaks and endless flowers within a radius of 25 square kilometers.

Lingshan has a short frost-free period, and the climate changes over the four seasons are greatly different from those in Beijing, presenting a unique climate with short spring and autumn and long winter and summer. The daily temperature difference with that in Beijing is 10-12 degrees Celsius.

The vegetation of Lingshan also changes with the increase of altitude. There are both warm temperate vegetation and Siberian cold zone vegetation. Among them, the alpine meadows above 1,900 meters are the most famous. It is the only natural breeding farm for Xinjiang fine-wool sheep, Yili horses, and Qinghai-Tibet yaks in Beijing. This is a paradise for wild animals. Squirrels, hares, wild boars, roe deer and other wild animals are active in the mountains and forests. You may also see the rare brown pheasant.

There were many carpoolers at the bus stop, and it cost 100 yuan per person to Lingshan, excluding the ticket (the ticket to Lingshan is 45 yuan). We thought the price was a bit expensive, so we didn't take it. When 892 is coming, the carpooler will lower the price, so if you take a taxi, you can bargain. Many branch lines of 892 must go to Zhaitang. We took the 892 at around 9 o'clock and started a long bus journey. It took about 40 stops to Zhaitang, and we stopped and started all the way, and we were drowsy. It took about two hours to get to Zhaitang, and it cost 7 yuan. When you get off the bus at Zhaitang, many drivers will ask you where you are going. You can only share a car here to go to Lingshan. We had lunch in Zhaitang before leaving. A fried pancake and a tomato and egg rice bowl cost more than 20 yuan in total. After dinner, we found a car and got together with two other people to go up the mountain. The fare was 25 yuan per person to the mountain. The driver said that if he bought the ticket, it would be 60 yuan for the car plus the ticket. The driver should know the ticket seller on the mountain. He let us enter with student tickets, which is half-price tickets. The driver can also earn some money from the tickets. When we got to the mountain, the driver found a standard room in a farmhouse for 100 yuan per room. Because it was too cold on the mountain and there were not many people, we let the two of us live in a 4-person room, so that we could cover our two rich beddings. After we arranged the accommodation at noon, we started climbing the mountain. On the way up the mountain, there were many villagers leading horses and asking if you would like to take the 50 yuan to go up the mountain, and also asking if you would like to go to see the meadow valley or something. Don't go. It's more rewarding to climb to the top. At about 5 o'clock, we reached the main peak of Dongling, with an altitude of 2303. It was very cold on the top of the mountain and we had to add a piece of clothing. It will be much faster to go down the mountain. It is steep to go down the mountain. It is recommended to bring knee pads. You can eat at the farmhouse in the evening. The next day we walked back from Lingshan at around 10 o'clock. We contacted the driver who brought us there, and the fare was still 25 yuan. Because we wanted to go to Cuandixia, we wanted to take bus No. 892 from Zhaitang, which was only about 3 stops away. The driver on the bus told us to add 5 yuan and take us there directly, so we went directly. The ticket was 35 yuan, and if the driver included the all-inclusive fee, it would be 60 yuan including the ticket. To be honest, there was really nothing to see in Cuandixia. We wandered around for a while and walked back. On the way, we happened to meet a taxi that took us back to Zhaitang for 5 yuan per person. We just caught the bus No. 892 to the apple orchard and slept all the way back. By the way, I also saw sea buckthorn trees on the mountain. It was really the first time I saw them.

The scenery is great, the air is good, and you should wear a windbreaker. If you drive there, it is best to drive slowly, because there are too many turns on the road, especially for those who are walking on mountain roads for the first time. Also, be sure to check the weather forecast before going out. If the weather is good, the scenery is really good. If the weather is bad, I'm sorry, you can only appreciate another kind of beauty. If you go to the main peak, there will be a cable car. If you can, you can do it. Then there are two-thirds of the way down, you can climb by yourself. People who are too fat will be out of breath. Route Planning

Lingshan area is actually very large, and there are West Lingshan (Hebei), East Lingshan (Beijing), and North Lingshan. What we usually call Beijing Lingshan refers to East Lingshan. This post only discusses the tourism and outdoor routes in Beijing Lingshan, that is, the routes are relatively mature and not very risky (but still require a certain level of physical fitness and equipment).

The first way is to enter from Lingshan Ancient Road Scenic Area (ticket price 30 yuan, free with card, cheaper if purchased online) and walk about 9 kilometers to the main peak of Dongling Mountain.

The second way is to enter from Lingshan Scenic Area (ticket price 45 yuan, free with card, unknown for online purchase), walk about 5 kilometers (estimated) to reach the main peak of Dongling Mountain, or take a cable car for about 2/3 of the distance, then walk to the main peak, or ride a horse the whole way.

The third route is to go up the mountain from the courtyard near Lingshan in Jiangshuihe Village and take the original route (the route is also relatively mature, but there are many forks, it is recommended to use it as a descending route or G GPS navigation), and then merge with the second route. The characteristic of this route is that the scenery is very good and it passes through alpine meadows. However, the route is rugged and muddy in rainy days, which tests endurance and skills.

The recommended hiking route is the first route up the mountain and the third route down the mountain. The most labor-saving route is to take the second route up the mountain, then take the third route to the meadow and then come back down.



Public transport and accommodation

Departure: Take bus No. 892 Pingguoyuan subway to Zhaitang, and then take bus No. 892 to Hongshuikou across the road. The bus departs at 9:20/14:40/19:55 every day and arrives in about 50 minutes. Lingshan Ancient Road Scenic Area is in Hongshuikou Village. However, the entrance to Lingshan Scenic Area is in Jiangshuihe Village. You need to take a taxi from Hongshuikou Village to the north for 9 kilometers. The fare is generally 50 yuan per car.

Return trip: Route 892 from Hongshuikou to Zhaitang, departs at 6:00/10:10/16:00 every day.

Accommodation costs 50 yuan per night on weekdays and 100-150 yuan on holidays (the price may increase when there are many people). There are generally solar water heaters, but not many electric water heaters.

I have seen many pictures introducing Lingshan, but after going there myself, I found that Lingshan has unique scenery to welcome every passerby in every season and every day.

It takes more than three hours to drive from downtown Beijing, more than half of which is mountain road, that is, National Highway 109. There are many sharp turns, but it is easy to drive. The scenery of Lingshan is very beautiful. The clouds are floating beside you. There are many flat places on the mountain. There are yaks and horses. Riding horses on the mountain is very interesting. It will be colder. You need to wear a thin jacket on the mountain at the end of August. If you keep climbing and exercising, it’s better to do a good job of sun protection, otherwise you will get sunburned. In short, it is worth going. It is worthy of being Beijing’s Little Tibet. However, the accommodation conditions are not good. The hygiene of the farmhouse is not up to par, and the food is barely acceptable.

Xiamawei is very steep, with a slope of nearly 60~70 degrees. I read online guides that once you pass Xiamawei, you will be fine. But it is not true at all! Many of the mountain roads behind are as steep as Xiamawei. What is worse is that there are abysses on the side of many mountain roads behind, which is very scary for people who are afraid of heights.

The alpine meadows are really beautiful, and they are completely different from the Greater Khingan Range in the northeast. I have seen such mountains before in Arshan, Inner Mongolia.

It is really beautiful, and there are horses eating grass there. I suggest that everyone who goes there should go there to have a look, especially when the sun shines on it, it is very, very beautiful, like a fairy tale world in a movie.

The highest peak in Beijing is 2,303 meters high. Standing on the top of the mountain, you will have a great view. From early July to late August, alpine plants bloom in full bloom, and the golden lotus in the birch forest will brighten your eyes.

Mentougou Lingshan in the west of Beijing belongs to the eastern foot of the Taihang Mountains. The Beijing side is called "Lingshan" and the Hebei side is called "Donglingshan". At that time, there were only two or three small restaurants on the top of the mountain. This time we followed the road signs and drove from the front mountain to the top of the mountain. It was already a horse farm with houses everywhere and horse manure everywhere. People were shouting at you to ride horses. I remember that there were not so many fellow villagers back then. When we climbed to the top, there was no cable car and few people. Now, except for the Tibetan Botanical Museum (I think it was called that), there are inns everywhere at the foot of the mountain. The tranquility of the early years has long gone. The entrance ticket price of five yuan in those days has soared to 40 yuan now.

The only thing that remains in my good memory is the beautiful scenery of Lingshan. This time I did not ride a horse, did not take a cable car, and did not see the alpine meadows. I only went to the vicinity of the meteorological station. It is about 120 kilometers to drive from Beijing Fushi Road to Lingshan via National Highway 109. If everything goes well, it will take about 3 hours. It is very convenient. Generally, you can go back and forth from Beijing on the same day.

Lingshan Mountain is located in the west of Beijing, bordering Hebei Province. It is the highest peak in Beijing. It has lush forests and meadows and beautiful scenery. It is a great place worth a visit.

You can ride horses up the mountain, run horses, and take the cable car. However, grass skiing is quite dangerous so this activity has been cancelled.

My friend and I climbed from the bottom of the mountain to the top of the mountain without taking the cable car. It took us nearly four hours.

When I was still halfway up the mountain, I saw the fluttering red flag and knew that this was the main peak of Lingshan.

When I was in Shuanglong Gorge, I was chatting with a staff member of the scenic spot and mentioned that I was going to Lingshan alone the next day. That person started talking about the two hikers who died in Lingshan last year, and said that it was too dangerous for me, a girl, to go there alone. I really didn't dare to go, but it was the weekend, so I asked a friend to go with me. If you take the bus to Lingshan, you should take 892 from Pingguoyuan to Zhaitang and then reverse and take 892 (make sure to ask if it is the bus to Shuangtangjian) to Lingshan. However, this bus only goes to a place called Shuangtangjian. You still have to take a taxi after getting off the bus. It may not be as easy to get a taxi from Pingguoyuan. It costs about 30 yuan per person to take a taxi from Pingguoyuan to Lingshan. It is a kind of van with 11 seats. The driver will wait until the van is full before leaving. It costs about 300 yuan for 10 people. If there are less than 10 people, he will also charge about 300 yuan.

We decided to go to Lingshan the day before departure because it is the highest peak in Beijing. Everyone knows it, so I won’t go into details.

Go straight out of Pingguoyuan subway station (Exit A, D) and find bus No. 892 for about 300 meters. Now there is only bus No. 892 to Lingshan, which runs every 40 minutes or so (I heard there is a direct bus at 9 o'clock in the morning, I don't know if it is accurate). The No. 892 I took went to Zhaitang, and it took two hours. Then I rented a car from Zhaitang to Jiangshuihe Village, which cost 20 yuan per person (avoided the May Day holiday). If there were fewer people, it might cost 25 yuan. Entering Jiangshuihe Village is equivalent to entering Lingshan Scenic Area, so you have to buy a ticket. The driver can buy it for you. They buy less, you know. Get off the bus and stay in a hotel. Jiangshuihe Village is on a slope. It is cheaper to stay in a hotel where the slope is low (50 or 60 yuan per room). It is more expensive to stay in a hotel where the slope is high and close to the entrance of Lingshan. We arrived in the afternoon of the same day.
