Longqing Gorge is located at the ancient city river mouth northwest of Gucheng Village, 10 kilometers northeast of Yanqing District, Beijing, and 85 kilometers from Beijing city. Longqing Gorge was formerly known as the "Nine Bends of the Ancient City" and is known as the "Little Li River" of Beijing. It is one of the sixteen scenic spots in Beijing.

After 10 minutes of sailing, we arrived at the Konggangsan Pier. There is an inscription that reads "The swallows pass by and leave their voices behind". Maybe it was because it was still early in the season, the parking lot in the scenic area was empty with not many tourists, which was in stark contrast to the crowded "Gubei Water Town" in Miyun yesterday.

It's good to have fewer people, and it's quiet. But if you want some other services, you need to wait for people: if there are many people, you have to queue, and if there are few people, you have to wait. For example, from the parking lot to the entrance of the scenic spot, there is a one-kilometer asphalt road to walk, which takes about 10 minutes. There are electric shuttles in the scenic spot, which cost 5 yuan per person, which is not expensive, but also quite expensive.

When I arrived, I had to wait for a while before a group of people gathered to go up the mountain. I thought: Wouldn’t it be better to build the parking lot a little higher up at the entrance of the scenic area?

It only took a few minutes by shuttle bus to arrive at the main entrance ticket office of Longqingxia Scenic Area. There were many private cars parked along the way, probably brought in by local villagers at the parking lot.

After checking the ticket, I entered the gate. It was very quiet inside. The first thing that caught my eye was a small artificial lake in front of a grand building and a waterwheel running slowly in the lake, which was quite appropriate. There were pavilions and lounge chairs by the lake, which were suitable for tourists to rest and take a nap.



There is a square further ahead, where there are no people visiting the "carousel" and other amusement rides, and there are several locked shops and stalls around. It looks like many "cultural squares" or "beer squares" in the city center. It must be cool to come here to drink in the hot summer.

There is a symbolic "dragon" in Longqingxia Scenic Area. This man-made dragon is very unique: the dragon body is built along the mountain and gradually rises, and the dragon head opens its mouth at the foot of the mountain. Needless to say, this must be a passage to go up the mountain.

But looking from a distance at this huge dragon clinging to the steep mountain, how difficult is this? How strong is this? ....

I didn't expect that after entering the dragon's body from its mouth, I found that there were not endless stairs inside, but an elevator! An escalator! ! Cool, right? Well, I stood on the escalator and circled for a long time, thinking that the 40 yuan ticket was worth it just to ride this escalator.

Just outside the dragon's body, which has an elevator built into it, is the ferry terminal.

The boat ticket is quite expensive, 100 yuan per person for a round trip (it is a circular tour, so no one-way tickets are sold). It is said that Longqing Gorge is known as the "Little Three Gorges", so if you don't take a boat, wouldn't it be a waste of time? 100 is 100!

The food is average, grilled sausage and corn are 5 yuan each, but there is almost no place to sit, and it is still very cold in the scenic spot in winter. There is a house at the entrance of the scenic spot where you can take a rest, but we wanted to get a cup of boiled water, and they actually told us it was 10 yuan a cup, which is too dark!!! It is recommended to bring a thermos cup to get some hot water when you go.

Longqing Gorge, known as the Little Li River outside the Great Wall, is definitely worth a visit. Although the ticket package is a bit expensive, it is really reasonable.
