Location: Beijing Ming City Wall Ruins Park

Theme: "Appreciating plum blossoms in the ancient building in the new year and appreciating the long-standing culture of the city wall" is the theme, "relying on the city, using plum blossoms as a medium, and gathering the spirit with culture", focusing on inheriting the spirit of plum blossoms and fully displaying the historical and cultural connotations

The most famous Ming City Wall is in Nanjing. I actually came to see the plum blossoms and trains.

Train fans are in luck. The Ming City Wall Ruins Park holds a Plum Blossom Festival every March, which is free. If you are interested, you can also go up to the city wall (for a fee) to watch the trains coming in and out of the busy Beijing Station.

This is the first stop for many people who leave their hometowns and come to Beijing with great ambitions. I have come here countless times, whether to go far away or to see off friends.

A small treasure park on the second ring road of Beijing, peach blossoms, apricot blossoms and magnolia blossoms of Peking are in full bloom in early April. Visitors stroll among the ruins and admire the blooming flowers and the new building.

Located near Dongbianmen in Dongcheng District, Beijing, next to the ancient observatory. It is the remnant of the ancient city of Beijing. The relevant departments of Beijing have turned it into a large plum blossom garden, planted many plum blossoms of various varieties, including red plum, white plum, green calyx plum, etc.

The well-maintained ancient city wall is in good condition in some areas, but the greenery next to it is very good

[Ming City Wall Ruins Park] is located on Chongwenmen East Street. The plum blossoms here are unique in Beijing. Whenever spring comes, the plum blossoms here are in full bloom, attracting flower lovers in Beijing.

March is a beautiful month for flower viewing. The Ming City Wall Ruins Park is in full bloom. Smelling the fragrance of flowers, basking in the sun, and taking photos are so beautiful! The city wall is free; the southeast corner tower: 10 yuan for adults and 5 yuan for students!

2019-2-10 morning Ming City Wall Site - Chongwenmen East Section, the quiet old city wall, was built in the first year of the Ming Dynasty (1436 AD), more than 580 years ago. Unfortunately, I took the T2 to the West Station and did not walk to the southeast corner tower.

By jkmeil |

The section of Beijing city wall restored in 2002 is the only remaining section of the old city wall. It is about 1,000 meters long from the southeast corner tower to the west. The southeast corner tower is the largest remaining corner tower of the city wall in the country.

Although this section of the city wall is short and incomplete, it can be effectively protected.

Then, drive south along the Second Ring Road for more than 20 minutes to the East Gate section of the remains of the Ming Beijing city wall. This was once the southeast corner of the inner city wall of Beijing and was built during the Jiajing period of the Ming Dynasty. Walk along the wall from the corner tower to the entrance of the Ming City Wall Ruins Park at No. 9 Chongwenmen East Street, and you will find that this is actually a 4A scenic spot. I spent 10 yuan to buy a ticket to enter the park and climbed up the wall along the horse path. Although there are obvious signs of recent repairs, there are still some old bricks and tiles, and you can quite enjoy the fun of strolling among the ruins.

It is the East Gate, the only intact tower and wall of the 16 gates of Beijing. Premier Zhou Enlai made great efforts to protect it. Only by climbing this place can you experience what the complete Beijing city would look like after the Yuan, Ming and Qing dynasties. It should be as famous as the Great Wall.

In early spring, with flowers blooming and green grass, it is nice to walk along the city wall.

The Ming City Wall was 25 kilometers long in history and was built in the 17th year of Yongle in the Ming Dynasty (1419 AD). It has a history of nearly 600 years. The existing wall ruins from Chongwenmen to the southeast corner tower are 1.5 kilometers long and are the symbol of Beijing. There is a section of the wall that can be climbed (for a fee), where you can see trains coming in and out of the Beijing Station next to it. There are two super big trees under the wall. It is hard to tell whether they are peach trees or pear trees. In short, one tree is white and the other is pink when it is in full bloom in April.

By Spring is coming |

This section of the city wall is one of the few Ming Dynasty city walls in Beijing.

I don't recommend going up there. Although it only costs 10 yuan, there's really nothing to see. But I recommend the whole park because the outer side doesn't cost anything. Just walk west along Beijing Railway Station and turn a corner to get there. The environment is good and it can be used as a resting place before waiting for the train.

The Ming City Wall Ruins Park starts from the southeast corner tower in the east and ends at Chongwen Gate in the west. The existing section of the city wall is 1.5 kilometers long and is part of the original Beijing inner city wall. It is the only remaining section and is also the symbol of Beijing. Although this section of the city wall is very short and incomplete, it has been effectively protected, showing the profound cultural heritage of Chongwen and recreating the style of the ancient capital.

As a park for viewing plum blossoms, it is very good and the scenery is pleasant.

The ruins of the Ming city wall start from the southeast corner tower in the east and end at Chongwenmen in the west, with a total area of about 15.5 hectares, of which the city wall ruins and the southeast corner tower occupy 3.3 hectares and the green area is 12.2 hectares.

The park uses simple design techniques to highlight the incomplete beauty of the city wall. Walking in the park, you will see ancient trees, green grass, the long and simple Ming city wall and the deep and solemn corner tower, which seem to tell people the vicissitudes of the nation.

By Mouse.D |

A free park. Although it is free, Dongcheng District has done a lot of work to maintain the park. You can see gardeners trimming flowers and plants at any time. The easternmost corner tower is very beautiful. Many TV dramas have been filmed here. Now the city wall ruins are being repaired. You can't go up the city wall, you can only watch from a distance. This has become a place for nearby residents to take a walk. The back of the entire park is Beijing Station. There are different views here in each season. I like the ancient trees the most. They match the city wall very well. Coupled with the Beijing Station's hourly time signal, I think this is the Beijing city in my heart!

You can still go when the plum blossoms are in bloom, but you have to calculate the time well. Last time I went to take pictures, not many flowers were in bloom. When they are in bloom, there will be a lot of people around. The fragrance of the plum blossoms is good~

It was a good city wall, but it was demolished. Now only sections are left for people to pay tribute. It would have been better if Mr. Liang had listened to him. But the remaining ruins are well protected and down-to-earth. The greenery is good and there are few people. You can go for a walk.

By Ordinary |

Came here by chance and found it pretty nice

By Happy little black cat |

It's very beautiful. It's especially beautiful when the weather is good. Not many people come here now, but it has a unique flavor and is very good.

By Light purple |

Of the ancient Ming Great Wall, only 1.5 kilometers of the wall remains.

By In a moment |

The only remaining section of the Ming Dynasty city wall, with plum blossoms blooming below the city and yellow sand dancing on the wall, reminds us of that bygone era.

By zhaoyuzhen1225 |

There are not many preserved ancient monuments, but they are authentic and worth a visit.

By The Donkey |

An open tourist attraction, a section of the remaining city wall in Beijing, in good condition.

By Fat man busy losing weight |

There is not a complete section, only ruins, but it is much better than those newly built walls in imitation of ancient styles.

The Ming City Wall Ruins Park is located south of Beijing Railway Station. You can get there by taking Metro Line 2 and walking east from Beijing Station. You can also get off at Chongwenmen Station on Line 2 and walk east. The Ming City Wall Ruins Park is the only remaining city wall ruins from the Ming and Qing Dynasties in Beijing. The Ming City Wall Ruins Park section is the longest section remaining in Beijing. The most conspicuous part of the entire city wall is the southeast corner tower standing on the easternmost city wall. This corner tower is also the largest existing corner tower in the country. Inside the corner tower is the Ming City Wall Museum, which introduces the shapes of the inner nine gates and outer seven gates of Beijing in the Ming and Qing Dynasties, as well as the restored city gate models. Outside the city, there are the duty room and subway tracks of the Beijing-Fengtian Railway at that time. The ticket price is 15 yuan (the price for climbing the city wall). You can go to see the flowers and take a walk in spring, which is very nice.

By shallow |

It is free to enjoy the flowers under the city wall. The plum blossoms are in full bloom, pink, white, red and green. Coupled with the intricate landscape layout, it is suitable for a walk when the weather is good.

By Youan |

If you go there in spring, the plum blossoms under the city wall are all in full bloom, which is very beautiful. The subway is under Chongwenmen, which is very close. If you are near Dongdan, you can go through the alley next to the Tibet Building, haha, and you can also visit the old alley by the way~

By Haha |

The Ming City Wall Ruins Park is located next to the southeast corner tower and on the south side of Beijing Railway Station. In addition to the city wall ruins, there are also the remains of the Beijing-Fengtian Railway tracks and signal tower.

In autumn, the flower beds here are gorgeous. The sculptures are lifelike and have a special sense of history. It is worth coming.

The ancient Ming City Wall is rejuvenated with the blooming plum blossoms in spring, the lush green pines in summer, the colorful flowers in autumn and the crystal white snow in winter.

The "Plum Blossom Festival" at Ming City Wall Ruins Park is in full bloom and is free to enjoy.
