Shenglian Mountain Scenic Area is located in Shijiaying Township, Fangshan District, southwest of Beijing (more than 90 kilometers from the city center). With an altitude of 1,030 meters, Shenglian Mountain is also known as Lianhua Mountain, and was called Taishan in ancient times. It is named because the entire mountain looks like lotus petals. The scenic area is named after Shengmi Stone Pond, and was later renamed Shenglian Mountain. The natural scenery is majestic, dangerous, mysterious, unique and beautiful. It is called "the first strange mountain in Kyoto" because of its excellent vegetation and mysterious geological wonders, and is known as the "Little Five Mountains in Western Beijing".

There is nothing special about it. There are some newly built buildings on the mountain, and the statues and other things are rather crude.
[Shenglian Mountain] is also known as Lotus Mountain, named after the mountain that resembles lotus petals. The scenic spot is located in the China Fangshan World Geopark in the southwest of Beijing, with an altitude of 1,030 meters. "Taoist style, Buddha's light, strange peaks and steep rocks, holy water", this is the true portrayal of Shenglian Mountain. At noon, the sun shines on the steep rock steps. As a 4A-level scenic spot, it is sparsely populated and open, and the tourist facilities and sanitary conditions are average.
Nan Temple was built in 1404 and is the earliest building complex in Shenglian Mountain Scenic Area. Nan Temple was originally a Buddhist temple, but it was changed to Taoism in the 10th year of Shunzhi in the Qing Dynasty. Now it is a Buddhist and Taoist temple. There is a young monk chanting in Shengquan Temple with a loud voice. I followed the sound and entered the temple. The young monk received me warmly. He unlocked the door of the holy spring cave behind the temple, and took half a bowl of "holy water" with a bowl and handed it to me. I took a sip and it tasted clear and sweet, refreshing. Can drinking holy water every day make you immortal? Our travel notes "Travel is practice - Fangshan World Geopark" have a detailed description.
A small scenic spot on National Highway 108 in the suburbs of Beijing, on the side of the road at the foot of Baihua Mountain, is so small that I have passed by Baihua Mountain many times but never went in to take a look. In the end, I bought the "Beijing Scenic Annual Pass" and could visit it for free, so I went there for a visit. This time I found it to be a different world, not only with steep scenery, but also with rich Buddhist and Taoist culture. It is really a good place for a one-day trip in the suburbs of Beijing.
The terminus of the Fangshan Line of the subway (Suzhuang) - Fang No. 15 (Fangshan Beiguan) - Fang No. 21/24 (Shenglian Mountain). There are very few buses on Fang No. 21/24, only two trips a day. The latest is 2 pm when you take the Shenglian Mountain back to the city. Be sure to check the time if you take the bus. I visited the Shenniuling-Twenty-Eight Bends line mainly for climbing. It took an hour and a half to go up and down the mountain. The roads in Yanwangbi, Lianzifeng and other places are quite steep. The scenery is average. Only the top of the mountain has good scenery. The Twenty-Eight Bends are all man-made landscapes, so it's average.
The ticket to Shenglian Mountain Scenic Area is 60 yuan. If you want to drive up the mountain, it costs 60 yuan per car. Or you can take the scenic area battery car up the mountain, which costs 20 yuan per person.
I chose to drive into the scenic area by myself. The road was not close and the mountain was very steep. I kept turning and driving until I reached the end where there was no road. It was a small parking lot. Many private cars parked their cars and used stones to "drill holes" behind the tires to prevent them from slipping.
There are two options when you get here: the first is to walk the "28 turns" to the top of the mountain; or you can choose to take the cable car up the mountain, the ticket price is 40 yuan.
The 28 turns of Shenglian Mountain are the steps that lead up to the mountain. There are 28 turns on each straight road, and the number of steps on each straight road varies. Going up the 28 turns one by one, every time I see the signs of "Twelfth Turn" and "Eighteenth Turn", I feel a sense of accomplishment and lament my poor physical fitness!
When you reach the 28th turn, which is also the terminus of the cable car, the real sightseeing and hiking begins here. The 28-turn staircase is just a "warm-up".
However, according to the descriptions on the Internet, Shenglian Mountain is indeed a place where "Taoism and Buddhism shine brightly", and "Taoism and Buddhism live in two different worlds" - a mixture!
I was at the North Temple and looked around, and I discovered that there were many observation decks with railings in the distance, commanding heights. They seemed to be quite close, and if I went the wrong way, it would be very tiring to go to another one.
Walking into the cave from the entrance behind the screen wall, I was chilled by the cold and had goose bumps all over my body. I thought, hurry up and get through before I get sick, but I didn't expect this cave to be so long and deep! There is a fork in the road in the middle: But don't worry, the fork on the right is only a few meters away. It is a "balcony" where statues of gods are placed for worship. It is built on the cliff and has a good view. After taking a look, you can go back and continue along the cave.
It is worth mentioning that the lighting device in the cave is voice-controlled and will light up automatically when there is any movement.
After leaving Tianjie, there are two routes to choose from. One is to go up to the commanding point on the top of the mountain, which seems to be a tower; the other option is to go down to another temple complex.
I chose to go up, climbing along the red steps, which were not very high. However, there were several forks in the road leading to different hills. I really didn't have the energy to run to every hill, so I gave up the others and went straight to the tower.
This tower is called: Holy Lotus Pagoda. As soon as you enter the tower gate, you will see a wall full of texts related to Buddhism. Although I can't understand them, it is good for taking photos. This tower has a total of 5 floors. The layout and appearance of each floor are exactly the same. If it were not for the murals on the wall, you would not know which floor you are on. There are windows all around the tower. I don't know whether it is for safety reasons or the original design of the tower. The windows are blocked by metal garden-like fences, which is very inconvenient for taking pictures of the scenery outside the tower.
Climbing up from Xiaoyao Valley, the peach blossoms of Shenglian Mountain in early April began to bloom. From the height, you can see clusters of pink and white peach blossoms, which are particularly beautiful. The air is also fresh. There are few people on the road in Xiaoyao Valley. You can't see any tourists when you climb the mountain in the morning. Climbing to a high place and looking at the layers of emerald green peaks in the distance, with light clouds and mist lingering in the distance, the experience is very good. In addition, over there on the side of the big stone statue of Laozi, the phallic-shaped stone pile is facing a naturally formed cave, which looks very lewd... It can also be said to be very interesting. It is a good place to go for mountain climbing in the suburbs of Beijing.
A very good outdoor hiking spot, with a little challenge, just right for beginner hikers.
If you have nothing to do on weekends, you can still go for a walk. The air is good and you can exercise.
Shenglian Mountain is very quiet. There were not many people when I went there on National Day. Parking was also convenient. The difficulty of the 28 bends was not high. There was a statue of a star on each bend, which was interesting and suitable for children to play. You can get in touch with some Taoist culture and listen to Taoist music when you encounter Taoists performing rituals. If you are really tired, you can take the cable car down the mountain.
The scenery is OK. I guess it's not promoted enough. There aren't many people, but it's pretty good.
It's just average, the service is very poor! But according to the current price, 60 is not expensive! The main reason is that the service in the scenic area is too poor! Take the cable car
The ticket is 60 yuan per person, and another 60 yuan per car if you drive in. If you don't drive in, you have to take a sightseeing bus for 20 yuan per person, otherwise you have to walk 3.5 kilometers before climbing the stairs. Fortunately, the scenery is worth the ticket price. The scenic area is very large. We climbed up from the 28 bends to the Holy Lotus Pagoda, went around the Lotus Seed Peak, passed the King of Hell's Nose, and walked down from the Happy Valley. We walked and played for four and a half hours, and there were still a few attractions that we didn't visit. There are Taoist temples and temples on the mountain, most of which are restored or rebuilt. There is a huge Laozi sitting sculpture at the foot of the mountain. The lush mountains and forests shade the red walls and green tiles. The eyes enjoy the legs and feet, but they are really tired. It is worth going with children or the elderly. The scenery is nice and there are not many people. It is best to use the annual pass. 60 yuan per person is indeed expensive. Think about it, the tickets to the Summer Palace are not so expensive?!
Shenglian Mountain is located in Shijiaying Township, Fangshan District. It is a Taoist holy place. Drive west along G108. There are signposts for Shijiaying and Shenglian Mountain along the way. Just follow the signposts. The road is smooth and there is no traffic jam. The scenic area is large and the ticket price is 60 yuan. It is one of the scenic spots with annual tickets in Beijing. The ticket seller does not check the annual tickets when checking the tickets. The annual tickets can be borrowed from each other. The distance from the entrance of the scenic area to the trailhead is 3.5km. You can choose to take the scenic area bus for 20 yuan/person or drive by yourself. The parking fee or entry fee is 60 yuan. I personally think that this 60 yuan is not worth it. Few people come to Shenglian Mountain. The environment in the scenic area is quiet, quiet and comfortable. Tourists will basically choose to climb the mountain from the 28 bends. The journey up the mountain is not far, and it takes less than an hour and a half to reach the top of the mountain. The way up the mountain is relatively easy and shaded. There is a Taoist temple worth visiting halfway up the mountain, and there are also several relatively ancient Taoist temples on the top of the mountain. The top of the mountain has a wide view and high visibility. You can see the entire Shenglian Mountain and even the scenery of Shijiaying. When you come to Shenglian Mountain, you must insist on climbing to the top of the mountain to make the trip worthwhile. You can choose to return by the original route when going down the mountain, or you can take another route down the mountain. Personally, I suggest not to go back. Although the other route is a bit sunny and there are a few steep places, it is worth going and there will be different scenery.
Take the Beijing-Kunming Railway to the ticket office of Shenglian Mountain, and take the round-trip ferry to the foot of the mountain for 20 yuan per person (3.5 kilometers of uphill road to the foot of the mountain, I guess I don’t have the energy to climb the mountain). Go up from the 28th plate, there are 28 constellations here, it is very shaded and cool, and the scenery is very beautiful after the 20th plate. It is very spectacular to reach the top of the 28th plate and arrive at the temple. The scenic spots here are very beautiful, and the buildings are very spectacular. I went down from Xiaoyao Valley, passing by Yanwangbi, which is too steep. I moved slowly down. There were no attractions along the way. Finally, when I was about to reach the platform, I arrived at the Thousand Buddha Hall and the Eighteen Arhats. Finally, I went down the mountain all the way and arrived at the huge Laozi statue. It was very majestic and spectacular. I climbed for more than 5 hours. I really didn’t have the energy to visit the Jade Emperor Hall. I really didn’t have the energy to climb up the suspended iron cable bridge of the Laozi statue. It was a pity. I will definitely go there next time. I like Shenglian Mountain too much. It is really too big and quite cool in summer. I recommend everyone to have a look if they have the opportunity. I hope it will be helpful to everyone!
It's a Taoist holy land. When we went there, there was a religious ceremony going on. It was quite large in scale. There were many attractions to visit. It's worth a visit!
Located in the mountains and ridges in the northwest of Fangshan District, at an altitude of 930 meters, it is a gathering place for Taoists.
Shenglian Mountain is steep and majestic. There are deep valleys and gurgling streams at the foot of the mountain. The mountain peaks are high and steep, and the cliffs are dense. There is a sea of clouds and mist on the mountain, which is ever-changing. The jungle is lush, the ancient trees are towering, and the temples and pavilions are hidden in the dense shade. The mountain paths are beautiful and unique, stretching and cycling.
We took two roads, one for going up and the other for going down. The road down was steeper, and the scenery on the way was different. The Thousand Buddha Hall was stunning, and the "King of Hell's Nose" was very steep. The overall feeling was great! Great!
It was good, especially the 28 bends, which was awesome! I was out of breath after climbing the mountain. It took less than 20 minutes to get down the mountain! I couldn't stop at all! There are villas and courtyards of Wu Peifu, Cao Kun, and Yang Xiaolou on the top, and Taoist priests live there now! They are very polite, answer all questions, and are humble and kind! I took a lot of photos because the scenery is so beautiful!
Shenglian Mountain is particularly surprising. I first learned about it when I saw an image of Laozi in a group friend’s album. After going there once, I found that the place has beautiful scenery, clear mountains and clear waters, and more importantly, there are few people. It is worthy of being called the "Little Five Mountains in Western Beijing". Unfortunately, the transportation is a little inconvenient, there are few buses going back and forth, and the last bus stops too early.
A mountain in Taoism, the scenic area is very large, the 28 bends are very steep, and you will sweat a lot when you climb the mountain in summer. There are some other attractions, so I will go there next time. It is recommended that ordinary people take a sightseeing bus from the entrance, then climb up, walk or take the cable car down, and then take the sightseeing bus back to the entrance of the scenic area. Suggestion~
On the way back from Fangshan Flower Terrace, we stopped by Shenglianshan Park. As we didn't have much time, we didn't see the whole park. The park is very large, with both natural and cultural landscapes. The huge statue of Laozi, the zipline in the air, and the Buddhist and Taoist temples are magnificent. There are also several former residences of celebrities that are worth seeing. I think this is a very worthwhile place to visit in the suburbs of Beijing.
Shenglian Mountain Road is easy to walk on, there is no traffic jam along the entire line, there are few people in the scenic area, there are plenty of parking spaces, the scenery is beautiful and the air is fresh.
The Shenglian Mountain Scenic Area is very large and is a 4A-level scenic area. The ticket is 60 yuan. The gate of the scenic area is 440 meters above sea level. From here you can take a sightseeing bus for 20 yuan round trip, or you can drive in for 60 yuan, or you can walk in. The scenic area is very large. The terminal of the sightseeing bus is the starting point of the Twenty-Eight Bends at an altitude of 660 meters. Along the way, you will pass by the Jade Emperor Temple, Laozi Statue, Xiaoyao Valley Entrance and other scenic spots and finally arrive at the starting point of the Twenty-Eight Bends. It is 3.5 kilometers from the gate of the scenic area to here, and the altitude climb is 220 meters. From the Twenty-Eight Bends, you can take the cable car for 40 yuan per person, or you can hike. The end of the Twenty-Eight Bends, which is the upper station of the cable car, is 930 meters above sea level. There are attractions such as the Eight Immortals Cave and the Shenglian Pagoda on the mountain. You can play with good scenery. The highest altitude is the pagoda at an altitude of 1,000 meters. You can go down the mountain and return by the same route, or you can go through Xiaoyao Valley and pass Yanwangbi Liangmatai to the Xiaoyao Valley Sightseeing Station. The scenic area is very large and there are many attractions. The whole hike takes three to four hours. The scenery is great. It’s cool in the mountains in summer and worth a visit!
