The temperature in Shihua Cave Scenic Area is about 13 degrees all year round, making it a good place for weekend trips outside Beijing to escape the heat.
The stone flowers in Shihua Cave are diverse in form and numerous in number. It is one of the most spectacular karst caves in China and is very rare.
The open part of the cave is equipped with colored lights, which together with various stalagmites and stone flowers form a fantastic and magnificent landscape, which is very suitable for viewing and photography.
There are seven floors in the cave. Currently, the areas open to tourists are from the first to the fourth floors. There are 16 halls and more than 100 landscapes in total.

This is the best and most valuable cave among all the caves in Beijing. My travel notes "Beijing Shihua Cave and Yinhu Cave" have a detailed introduction.
Shihua Cave is very beautiful and deep, with a total of 7 underground floors, 4 of which are currently open. The natural cave is truly a masterpiece of nature!
A famous scenic spot in Fangshan District, there are several good attractions in the cave.
I went to Shihua Cave a long time ago. Rather than saying that Shihua Cave is beautiful, it is better to say that the lighting is very beautiful. For me, who was young at that time, the Shihua Cave in my memory is very beautiful.
1. One of the four famous caves in China, it is worth a visit if you have not been there;
2. There are many steps up and down in the scenic area, which is very tiring. It takes more energy to bring children and the elderly, so please prepare delicious food;
3. Parking is free in the scenic area, but the parking lot is a bit far away and the locals blocked us. We can only walk up from the parking lot a few hundred meters below the cave entrance, or pay for a car to drive up. It's a rip-off.
4. There is nothing else to do in the scenic area, it is quite simple;
5. It’s free to take photos inside, but they charge for taking photos, which is a rip-off.
In a word, it is enough to visit this kind of attraction once
There is no parking lot in front of the Shihua Cave Scenic Area.
I used the navigation system to find that the road was blocked one kilometer away from the entrance of the scenic spot and led into the parking lot. The parking fee is 20 yuan. If you want to eat in the farmhouse above, the locals can drive you up there without spending the 20 yuan or the 10 yuan battery car fee.
I never eat in scenic spots. I would rather stop here and then take the electric car to move forward.
When I arrived at the entrance of the scenic spot, there were indeed not many parking spaces. I wouldn't stop here even if I got in!
After getting off the electric car, I walked up a few steps and passed through a narrow sales aisle. My view suddenly opened up: it turned out that the entrance to the Shihua Cave Scenic Area was quite grand.
The ticket to Shihua Cave is 70 yuan. My mother naturally doesn't want a ticket, but if you don't buy insurance, you need to sign at the ticket office, which means that any situation in the scenic area has nothing to do with the scenic area!
I thought, what's the point of asking us to sign this? If something really happens, can you escape from the scenic spot?
The ticket inspector shouted at us, "Hurry up, a group of tourists just passed by. Hurry, catch up with them, there is a tour guide!"
We were urged to quicken our pace.
The way to visit Shihua Cave is like this. The number of tourists is not fixed, and there is a tour guide in front to lead the explanation. The important thing is that I don’t know how to control the lights in the cave. If you fall behind, the lights will go out and it will be pitch black. The tour guide said that if tourists don’t keep up with the team and the lights in the cave go out, they should wait for the next group of tourists and the guide to arrive. It will take about 15-20 minutes.
Having said that, no one dared to fall behind!
Later, as I was walking, I found a power switch in many hidden corners. I was timid and didn't dare to touch it. The tour guide said that the switch had to be swiped with their employee card.
China's karst caves are all similar, especially since I just visited the "Zhijin Cave" in Guizhou, so the "Shihua Cave" was not so new to me.
The temperature in Shihua Cave is not as cold as you might imagine, unlike the "Silver Fox Cave" in Fangshan, where you get a shiver as soon as you enter. And you don't feel stuffy at all. According to the tour guide, this is due to the multiple natural vents in the cave: there are natural gaps on the top of the cave where it is pitch black and you can't see the end, which serve as vents in the cave.
The only place in Shihua Cave that touched me was:
The tour guide introduced a large area of "stalactites" hanging from above, and above that was a dark cave entrance, which scared me. According to the tour guide, that cave entrance was the entrance where the geological staff who first discovered Shihua Cave lowered a rope down from the ground. Moreover, when the scenic spot was first opened to the public in 1987, early tourists also visited the cave entrance by going down the straight up and down ladder.
The ladder has now been abandoned and a staircase has been built on the side.
I stared into that dark depth and thought, how exciting would it be to dangle from there? ! !
I took the bus to the intersection of Shihuadong Road. I met a black car just after getting off the bus. I happened to get off the bus with a mother and two children, so we shared a car. The total cost was 20 yuan, and I gave 5 yuan. The scenery is so-so. If you don't study geography, most of the caves are the same. I prefer the Huanglong Cave in Zhangjiajie because you can take a boat tour inside. It takes about an hour and a half to walk through it. You can listen to the explanation of the tour guide. The third and fourth floors do not lead to the exit, and you have to go deeper. I was wearing a skirt, and it was too cold to hold on, so I didn't go down and took the road leading to the exit directly. The ticket price is 70 yuan. I bought the Beijing Scenic Annual Pass. Wear non-slip shoes, some places are very slippery. After coming out, take a car, room 43, about one car per hour, or take a tour bus, 20 per person, when there are many people, it may be 5 yuan per person, the same as the black car when I came.
The karst cave of Shihua Cave is currently open to the 4th floor, and the 6th and 7th floors are underground rivers. As soon as you enter the cave, you will be amazed by the magnificent scenery in front of you! It's like an underground palace! It's better to be there in person and experience the geological park with natural landscapes of karst caves! It seems that famous wine is hidden! After coming out, you can take pictures as a souvenir! It was still a bit cloudy when we came out!
I have the impression that it is very large, with 7 floors in total, 5 floors have been explored, and 3 floors are open. The stalactites in the cave are of various shapes and forms, some are magnificent, and some are crystal clear and small. Tourists can only follow the tour guide along the tour route. There are many dark forks next to it, and tourists are not allowed to go through. Looking at the dark depths of the forks, I believe that no tourists want to try to go in. I imagine the cave being flooded. If I dive into it, I am afraid that I will be terrified. I really can't imagine how anyone would like to dive in the cave. Where is the fun?
The parking fee is 10 yuan. Walk more than 1 kilometer to the gate of the cave scenic area. There are scenic battery cars, but I didn't take them. The gate will only open when there are enough people. The scenic area tour guide will lead the tour, and the scenic annual pass will be swiped to enter. There are many people on weekends, and we were quickly put into the cave. The road inside is very neatly built. Because of the rock seepage, the road surface is relatively slippery. The scenic area is open to four floors, one-way, and the exit is on the second floor. Tourists who visit the third and fourth floors return to the second floor to exit the scenic area. The fourth floor road is connected to form a ring, and tourists visit in a clockwise direction. Iron nets are erected on both sides of the road for isolation. You can only visit and tour in the specified area. The total number of roads in the scenic area is more than 2 kilometers, and some roads are relatively narrow.
It's very beautiful. I have liked attractions like Shihua Cave since I was a child.
Lifelike, magnificent, dreamy, it is the wonder of nature.
The first cave scenic spot I went to was quite amazing and worth a visit.
After checking the ticket, the entrance to Shihua Cave is on the right. Maybe because there were more than one person on May 5, we didn't need to wait for half an hour to be brought in by the tour guide. We entered alone. The lights were on all the time and we could explore by ourselves. We were amazed at the creation of nature. The underground landscapes are all traces left over over time. I had heard the most about water dripping through stone before. The lighting was really not that good. It would be better if there was water at the bottom. It felt like calcium carbonate. The deeper you go, the more beautiful it is. Keep moving forward. It feels like drilling a cave, but we are indeed drilling a cave. Hehe, the signboards are very simple, either dripping water or linear flowing water, which forms a huge cave. If you take photos during the tour, you can get a huge small photo for free. You can take a photo, which I think is very interesting and cute. You can also buy the big one for 15 yuan, which is not expensive. I think the small one is hazy Beautiful. Forgive me for being at a loss for words. I feel a little distressed. The stone that has been cut in half is surprised at the formation of this waterfall-like stone column. My IQ is low, but I still have to keep smiling. It feels like entering an underground palace. Walking to the second underground floor, the stairs are very slippery. You still have to pay attention to safety. People with taller heights should always pay attention to lower their heads. The second underground floor is much more spectacular than the first floor. It is worth a look. I don't know if the spooky Yama Hall is like this. I'm really worried that it will collapse. It's wet and there is water flowing. I can't help but think of many bats hanging upside down here. I don't know how to describe it. I don't know much about geology. I went to the third and fourth floors. I saw that the light was good. Be careful. The third floor is over. Entering the fourth floor, people with intensive phobia will watch carefully. Goose bumps are coming. Keep going down. I'm at a loss for words. It feels like walking into darkness, walking in hell, walking down the fifth or sixth floor. It's beautiful.
Fortunately, I had read other people's travel notes before, and learned about the local customs and routines in advance. When I drove to about one kilometer away from the scenic area, I found that someone had set up a checkpoint. There were two or three more checkpoints along the way. What were they doing? They stopped the car and told you to park downstairs, and then tricked you into taking a shuttle bus 😂. The solution is also very simple. Check a hotel on the mountain in advance. If someone stops you, just say I'm going to xxx hotel. I've made an appointment with someone on the phone. That's it. There is a small parking lot at the top of the mountain that can accommodate about 20 cars. It's free. If there is no place to park, it doesn't matter. You can wait for a while with the people next to you. We arrived around 11 o'clock, and someone left in about 10 minutes, but don't listen to people fooling you and park at the foot of the mountain. It will affect the experience (there are always unruly people who want to harm me). The ticket is 70 per person, but You need to wait for a certain number of people to gather, and then there will be a free tour guide to take you in. The tour guide will lead the way faster in the cave, and the lights are timed, about three minutes, which actually means you have to leave quickly after you finish watching... There are currently four floors in the cave. Overall, the environment is still good. I have to sigh at the uncanny workmanship of nature. The lights are still very beautiful. The road is a bit slippery, and the third and fourth floors are relatively narrow. It is not recommended to bring too many things, nor is it recommended to bring people with inconvenient legs and feet. It is best to wear sports shoes. It seems to be about 150 meters from the first floor to the fourth floor. Part of the third and fourth floors is a round trip road, which is relatively narrow, humid, and easy to sweat. You can rest in the middle, and at most continue to walk with the next wave of tourists. Then the most important thing is that you must not drink too much water before entering the cave. After all, it is nearly two hours away... It is very embarrassing to want to go to the toilet halfway. Also, don't take pictures, that's a routine. It is not recommended to buy wine, not to mention that it is expensive, and it is really not brewed by yourself.
In general, as long as you avoid routines and concentrate on enjoying the scenery, it is still a good trip. I give 5 points for the landscape, but 1 point for the humanistic environment and service (including 3 points for the surrounding food and -2 points for the unruly people)
Take bus 833 to the intersection of Shihuadong and see the tall archway. In order to exercise and lose weight, I didn't transfer to bus 43 or carpool, and walked into the gate of the scenic area. It's a long four kilometers, with seven turns and eight turns. The temperature in the cave is 13 degrees all year round, and the air is humid. There are natural ventilation holes on the first floor, and it's a bit stuffy below. I was sweating profusely after the tour. The scenery on the first floor is good, but because it was opened the earliest, weathering and human damage have destroyed some of the scenery. The second underground floor is very deep, and the steps are slippery, so be careful. There are many types of stones, and the lighting arrangement is a bit old, which can't keep up with the aesthetic needs of people in this smart era. The third and fourth floors are not very big. The biggest significance of entering 150 meters underground is to see the spectacular fireworks, which is really beautiful. My husband went there for the first time and I went there for the third time. My husband said it was still worth a visit. As for shopping, it feels no different from other attractions. As for photos, take them if you like them, and don't be greedy if you don't like them!
The uncanny workmanship of nature has created a night-time sky of fireworks and silver flowers. The stone flowers underground are like flames, burning with blazing vitality.
I came here using a package ticket. The relative humidity is high and it's a bit cold.
It was autumn and winter when I went there, and the cave felt gloomy.
The stone flowers are of various shapes and are worth seeing.
I don’t know about other places, but if you want to see caves in Beijing, just visit Shihua Cave!
Another niche attraction in western Beijing. In fact, all the caves in the world have similar patterns, and Shihua Cave is not bad either.
Shihua Cave is located in Fangshan, Beijing, deep in the West Mountain. It has been found that the cave has 6 layers, which are connected layer by layer and connected to each other. There are many stalagmites and stone pillars in Shihua Cave, which are strange and beautiful in various shapes! There are also precious stone lotus. The light in Shihua Cave is very dark and the humidity is high. The elderly and children should be careful when visiting. By the way, the ticket for Shihua Cave is 70 yuan, which is a bit expensive!
The cave I visited many years ago is in Fangshan District. It is well developed and looks good with the lights on.
Shihua Cave has 4 floors of exhibition halls. It is said that 7 floors have been explored, and the rest has not yet been developed. Tourists gather in waves every 15 to 30 minutes. The scenic spot provides a place for taking photos and says that you can take a small photo for free and put it on your key chain. If you need a large photo, it will cost 15 yuan per photo. It is not compulsory. The picture below shows the combination of groundwater and stone pillars. The sky pot, in the wet season, water will drip along the stone waterfall.
The scenic spot is good, more imagination can bring more fun
As for the World Geological Museum, I only visited it twice when I was in elementary school, and it seemed very far away.
The scenic area is nice, but the management is too bad. No matter how good the scenery is, it is ruined by bad people. The service is terrible, the attitude is bad, and the language is vulgar. After buying the ticket, I went to the cave entrance and stopped them directly, "You stay outside for a while, it will take half an hour for a group to enter, and the free tour guide will take you in." The tourists asked if they could see it by themselves without explanation. The answer was "What are you going to see if you go in by yourself? Who will turn on the lights for you?" The tone was extremely provocative. After the waiter went back to the room, he said loudly, "You are still looking at it by yourself, no need to tell me, what are you thinking about............" Ten out of ten tourists are speechless! ! ! ! Too bad! ! ! ! !
Poor mountains and bad waters produce unruly people!!! I have been using China-TravelNote for many years and have always been a bystander reading guides. This is the first time I come to write a review because this place is really rubbish! The scenery is acceptable, and the wonders of nature have to be admired, but it has been developed too badly. The lighting design is very poor, just a random light, which is very different from other caves. It is a spectacular natural landscape, but the beauty of their development is not there for me.
The bad reviews are mainly for the service and the local villagers! When you drive to the main road, there are villagers blocking the road and not letting you go one kilometer away. You have to park in their parking lot, and then there is a shuttle bus, 15 per person. The shuttle buses are not from the scenic spot, and they are not uniform. They are all made by the local villagers themselves. It is not standardized at all. It is impossible to walk a kilometer uphill on a hot day, and you have to pay. When you walk in, you know you have been cheated because there are parked cars all the way. Then when I reported this to the staff at the scenic spot, they ignored it. It is obvious that the scenic spot knows that the outsiders are doing this and they are colluding with each other!
The scenic spot is also a pit, extremely commercialized, and is completely for money. When there are 20 to 30 people, a guide will be assigned to explain and take them in together. You can't walk too slowly. If you walk too slowly, you can't keep up with the guide. The lights will go out after you leave, and you are not allowed to take pictures. There are two photo spots in the cave. There are staff members taking pictures and deceiving people that the ticket includes a small photo, which is free for souvenirs. Everyone lined up to take pictures. When you get to the exit, they have already printed out the small photo for you. It's only about 3 cm. Yes, you read that right, only 3 cm. It's really a free small photo. Then there are big photos at the back. If you want them, you have to pay, 15 per photo. Their approach is obviously to pit tourists! Yes, you can not spend money, and the photos will be torn up. Then there are four floors in total. After visiting two floors, go down three or four floors. The tour guide does not recommend that the elderly and children go down because it is too tiring. I didn't go with my children and asked them to return directly. There was no light on the way back! No light! No light! I have been playing for so many years, and I have been to many scenic spots at home and abroad. There is no more rubbish than this! I advise everyone not to go to get angry! It’s not that I’m short of money to give them, I’m just really angry at their attitude and behavior!
A relatively ordinary cave, with the light shining on the stone and taking a look
Take the children to visit the natural stalactite landforms. Take photos with the animation characters. There are many magical questions while walking around the stalactite wonders, inspiring the children's curiosity. The children feel the magic of nature here! It's cold inside! It feels like more than ten degrees.
I went there with my friends when I was in school in Liangxiang. It is worth going.
Beijing Shihuadong National Geopark is located in Fangshan District, Beijing. It is a karst cave and was already very famous when I was a child.
The ticket price for Shihua Cave is 70 yuan, and the student ticket is 35 yuan. There is no toilet in the cave, so remember to solve it before entering the cave. I remember reading the comments before, and someone said that Shihua Cave is a three-star toilet, and I couldn't help but want to complain. The toilet is a single room, why is it called a single room? Because each toilet is completely independent, the toilet door is an imitation solid wood door, with two locks on the door, and each has its own independent light. To be honest, it's a bit wasteful. The sanitation of the toilet is very general, so it's better to spend more energy on it. There is a free guide to enter the cave, and you don't need to spend extra money. The guide will give a brief explanation of the scenic spot. But in fact, although it is a natural landscape, it is still very abstract, and you need to use your imagination as much as possible. The cave is very cool. I went there in early June, with three-quarter sleeves and three-quarter pants, and it was not very cold. There are also thin cotton jackets on the same trip. There are four floors in Shihua Cave. The first two floors are more magnificent, and the attractions in the last two floors are relatively small. The fireworks on the fourth floor are worth seeing. Some places in the cave are slippery and the stairs are steep. When walking, you must pay attention to your feet and follow the guide closely. The intensity is not comparable to Mutianyu. If you don't want to go to the third or fourth floor, there is an exit on the second floor, and the guide will remind you. It takes about an hour to walk down the fourth floor. The last section of the way out is more than 100 steps of stairs. After walking, I feel like I have escaped from the sky. Because I have never seen a karst cave, every landscape in the cave is a surprise to me. The tour guide will introduce some knowledge about the formation of stalactites during the explanation. In fact, the formation process of stalactites involves two chemical reactions. Calcium carbonate reacts with carbon dioxide and water to form calcium bicarbonate. Calcium bicarbonate is soluble in water. When the calcium bicarbonate solution is heated, a second reaction occurs, and calcium carbonate is deposited. Over the years, stalactites are formed. Different forms of water flow form different forms of stalactites. If it drips from the top, the most common conical stalactites are formed. If it splashes out, stone flowers will form on the rock wall. If the water is in sheets, the stalactites formed will look like flags. Or you can say it is a conch, but I think it looks like bitter melon skin. The characteristic stone of Shihua Cave, Moon Milk Stone, looks like cauliflower to me. What do you think? The lighting in Shihua Cave is also very good. If you just look at the gray stone, you will get tired of it after a long time. But if it is matched with gorgeous lighting, it feels like you have entered another world, and everything you see is new.
Poor mountains and bad waters produce unruly people. I have been to many places outside Beijing over the years, but this is the first time I feel so angry. If someone asks me what this place is like, I will just tell them, don't go there!
G108 goes down near Henan Village, about 4 or 5 kilometers, not far. About one kilometer away from the entrance of the scenic area, a gate was built, called Moon Mountain, and there is a parking lot at the gate. Then the villagers blocked the way up the mountain and told you that there is no parking lot above and you must park here. It sounds nonsense, but I thought I was at the door, so I just let it go. As a result, the shuttle bus was 10 yuan per person, which is obviously a rip-off! I said I would walk up, and I had to pay the parking fee first. 10 yuan per car, the parking lot sign clearly said 5 yuan, and they even told me that the price would increase during holidays. Go to hell, you are a three-year-old child.
In conclusion, a group of villagers with the worst quality in the suburbs of Beijing have ruined such a beautiful natural landscape.
The cave is very cool, so it is best to bring a skin-friendly coat. The road surface in the cave is slippery and there are many steps, so be careful when walking.
In northern China, Shihua Cave is the undisputed leader in karst cave landscapes. I went there twice and it was very good. But unfortunately, it is beyond my ability to take high-quality photos in the karst cave. The stunning beauty of Shihua Cave is not inferior to the top karst cave landscapes in the country or even the world. Those who like sightseeing, especially those who like karst cave landscapes, must not miss it!
The unit organized a visit. The temperature in the cave is very beautiful. The children walked all the way down. It is currently on the fourth floor. Go when there are fewer people! Otherwise, the path is very small and it is easy to slip.
I took bus 833 to the intersection of Shihua Cave and walked up for almost half an hour. I chose to take a bus for 20 yuan. I had seen that the room 43 was not reliable before. I didn't expect it to be unreliable when I came back. I came back at 3:10, 4:10, and 4:30. I didn't expect the bus at 3:10 to break down on the road, so I walked down for half an hour. The ticket for Shihua Cave is 70. I got an annual ticket, which is more cost-effective. When I went there, I caught up with a group and followed the tour guide. It took two hours. There are seven floors in the cave, four of which are open. It is warm in winter and cool in summer. The elderly should try to avoid going there as much as possible. There are steep stairs and slippery roads. Colored lights are installed in the cave, which together with various stalagmites and stone flowers form a fantastic and magnificent landscape. There are golden roosters announcing the dawn and immortals watching waterfalls on the first floor... The second floor tour route is the longest and highest, with bamboo fences and thatched cottages, stone waterfalls, dragon palace curtains, and mandarin duck pillars... The third and fourth floors are relatively small, and the stone flowers are also quite special. There are dragon girl embroidery platforms, immortal mirrors, and flower bamboo tower forests. After watching, you can return directly by the same route. There is also wine brewing in the cave, which takes a long time. Friends who like it can buy it when they leave the cave. There are free photos on the first and second floors with tickets, but the photos are very small. If you enlarge them, it will cost 15 yuan. I don’t think it’s necessary for me to take photos, I can just collect them at the exit...
It's worth going to experience the magic of nature. It's very cold inside, so it's recommended to bring a coat when you go there first.
Seven out of ten karst caves in China are located in the south. It is very rare to see such a wonder in Beijing, and it is worth a visit! The beauty of the karst cave is as beautiful as blooming stone flowers, as beautiful as seashells hanging from the sky, as beautiful as upside-down torches, as beautiful as organ arrays, as beautiful as turbulent waterfalls, as beautiful as mountains and dangerous peaks, as beautiful as clusters of flowers, as beautiful as dragons dancing in the wind, as beautiful as countless immortals and Buddhas, as beautiful as turtles, elephants, snakes, and dogs...
Located in Fangshan, it is a geological wonder. The cave is very large and has many stalactite landscapes. The temperature inside the cave is low, so you should wear more clothes even in summer.
Shihua Cave itself is very good, the scenery in the cave is amazing, the lighting is also in place, as a cave landscape worth seeing. However, the villagers at the entrance forcibly stopped the car and forced you to take their paid shuttle bus. I bought a meter last year. No wonder it can only be 4A until now, the service is too problematic.
The impression I had of Shihua Cave was very average, especially when a group of aunts and uncles blocked the road to collect parking fees before I even arrived. Their attitudes were very bad. They didn't explain the parking fees clearly and just wanted money. They were a bunch of unruly people! The management of this scenic spot is not perfect. I suggest you don't go. The cave is quite humid. I don't understand it. Don't go there.
It is worth a visit to marvel at the wonders of nature as a karst cave landscape. However, the surrounding supporting facilities are too poor. There are only farmhouses, and food and accommodation are a problem.
Shihua Cave has currently developed four floors, but starting from the third floor, the tour guide does not recommend that elderly and weak people with heart disease, high blood pressure, etc. go down. But I felt fine after walking down, but I was sweating in the 19-degree temperature as I walked, and it was not very comfortable to be wet and cold... The stone flowers, stone branches, stalactites; stone towers, stone shields, stone lamps, stone terraces; stone curtains, stone flags, stone waterfalls and other exquisite geological landscapes in the cave were formed tens of thousands of years ago, and they can really be called the essence. However, there is no shortage of uncivilized phenomena in the karst cave. I don’t know who chiseled off the lower end of the stalactites that were still growing. You have to know that stalactites can only grow 0.13 mm on average per year... It’s really hard to do it... The tour guide said that the Moon Milk Stone is only found in Shihua Cave in Beijing.
Overall, it is a good place to cool off in the summer in the southwest of Beijing. The temperature in the cave is 13 degrees and the humidity is 80% all year round. There is also cave-stored liquor, 30 yuan a bottle (2 taels).
The public parking lot is 5 yuan for unlimited time, and you can walk to the ticket office on the mountain (people with poor mobility can take the shuttle bus, which is 10 yuan for 3 people/one time if you bargain). It is 70 yuan for adults and half price (35 yuan) for people over 60 years old.
The recommended self-driving route is to take the exit of Yuanboyuan South Road on the West Fifth Ring Road, go west along the road to the end of the bend, turn left and immediately turn right to connect to Taiziyu Road, then Zhengangta Road, Yungang Road, Dahuichang Road and Weigezhuang Road, cross the Xiwangzuo South Bridge on the West Sixth Ring Road, connect to Liangsan Road in the north, drive about 12 kilometers to the Sanfu Village intersection, turn left and go south along Yanhe Road to Shihuadong Bridge, you will see the entrance to Shihuadong, and then drive about 3 kilometers inward to the parking lot.
I have been there since I was a child. I have been there 4 times in recent years. It ranks second among the caves I have visited. It is worth a visit.
It's pretty good. A favorite spring outing destination for elementary and middle school students. I was brought here at least three times during school, and each time it was packaged with the Zhoukoudian Ruins. It's relatively cool in the cave, about 17 degrees, so you have to wear long sleeves. You have to listen to the explanation while walking, and you have to expand your imagination, because many things rely on imagination. But it's still nice to touch it, it's cool, cool and smooth.
In the hot summer, I really recommend everyone to come to Shihua Cave to escape the heat. According to the tour guide, the temperature in the cave is kept at 13 degrees all year round. Once you enter Shihua Cave, the first feeling is one word: cool! Adult ticket: 70 yuan/person. The parking lot of Shihua Cave is charged, 5 yuan, and the cave is very refreshing and comfortable. After waiting at the entrance of the cave for a while, a special tour guide explained it to everyone. Shihua Cave is currently detected as seven layers, and has been developed to the fourth layer. The landscape of each layer is different. It is known as the "underground pearl of Beijing". With a tour guide's explanation, it looks more interesting. The landscape in the cave is three-point like and seven-point like, so don't be too serious. I only remember a few attractions that the shopping guide talked about, such as the tour guide said: It looks like "cauliflower", but it has been 50,000 years old (it seems to be), and it is one of the wonders in Shihua Cave. The stone flag is one of the major landscapes in the cave. Looks like a skeleton? Very spectacular! From the first floor to the fourth floor, I sigh at the magic of nature. At the same time, thanks to the bravery of the expedition team. Without their courage to explore, how could we see such a great sight and enjoy such a good summer resort! Hahaha, I recommend Shihua Cave to all kinds of bees who are afraid of heat again. A good place to escape the heat this summer - Shihua Cave in Fangshan, Beijing! Coming out of the cave, it's like two different worlds. It's so hot! I can't open my eyes because of the sun. Let me go back to the cave~
It is an old scenic spot with all kinds of strange stalactites. Even if you have seen the caves in the south, you will find it very interesting.
Because Shihua Cave is a karst cave, there are explanations along the way. At the entrance, a group of people are released every half an hour to follow a tour guide. Once you enter the cave, it's like ice and fire. It's too cool inside, even a little cold, very overtime. The landscapes in the karst cave are actually similar, three points of seeing and seven points of thinking. What's important is not what you see, but what you imagine. To be honest, I really didn't imagine anything. I was busy watching the road all the way to prevent falling. The road was too slippery and I almost fell twice. The whole karst cave has 7 floors, and 4 floors are open. The 1st and 2nd floors are a loop. You can walk around the road and return to the starting point. The 3rd and 4th floors are a one-way line. You must return to the original route when you reach the end. The 3rd and 4th floors are relatively difficult to walk. There are various steps up and down, which require a certain amount of physical strength. It takes about 40 minutes to watch and play. It takes only 1 and a half hours to complete the entire karst cave. When I came out of the cave safely and completely, I breathed a sigh of relief. The road was too slippery. Overall, the scenery in the cave is very good, with stones of various shapes and the ingenuity of nature. With the colorful lights, it's like being in a strange new world. The only pity is that there is no running water in the cave, which makes the scenery lose a lot of points. Maybe this is the pity of the northern cave. It is said that there is an underground river on the seventh floor of the unopened cave. I don't know what it looks like.
開車一直開到頂上。千萬別聽下邊停車場的瞎說。有講解員一直跟著。一共四層。一二層是開發很久的。三四層是近期的。二層樓梯很陡但一定要堅持。因為出口在二樓的盡頭。
The karst here is bizarre and quite large, making it a great place for a day trip.
Very nice stalactites. The cave is very cold. We went there in summer and it felt very cold once we entered the cave. We had to wear long sleeves.

In 1998, when the Bayi Farm was mining limestone, it accidentally discovered a Shihua Karst Cave. The following year, after an investigation, cave research experts from the Geological Society of China believed that this was a very rare Shihua Karst Cave in China and even in the world, formed 1.4 million years ago, and immediately suggested naming it "Shihua Water Cave". The cave consists of a dry cave and a water cave. The dry cave is about 2,000 meters long, and the water cave is about 3,000 meters long. The water depth is mostly 577 meters, and the deepest is 17 meters. The stalactites in the cave are peculiar in shape and form, either hanging from the top of the cave or rising from the ground, which is beautiful.
Went there during the Qingming holiday, it was great!
It’s beautiful inside!
The only drawback is the inconvenient transportation. If you want to take the bus, don’t consider Line 43. It is too unreliable and there are only a few trips a day.
It's better to take other routes to the foot of the mountain, such as Room 13, and walk or take a taxi up.
There is nothing else to say...
It's fun, the cave is big enough and beautiful. It's hard to imagine that there is such a natural karst cave scenic spot with high gold content in the suburbs of Beijing. It's highly recommended. The cave is damp and has four floors developed, which is equivalent to climbing 50 floors underground. A slow tour of 3 hours is enough. It seems that the elderly who can't bear to climb stairs (there is no problem for those with good health. When I played, the proportion of elderly comrades around me was very high and they rushed all the way) and babies under two years old (cradles and strollers can't go down. If you really want to go, I guess that kind of sling can carry the baby all the way down) are not suitable for playing. In terms of scenery, the first and second floors are flatter, the space is more spacious, and there are more scenic spots decorated with lights; the third and fourth floors are steeper and more cramped, but the characteristic attractions are better (stone flowers and so on). It is strongly recommended to follow the official free tour guide when going down, just to see the scenery, and then take pictures freely when turning back (it's better to take pictures during off-peak hours). There is no delicious food in the scenic area, just farm food, it is recommended not to eat; uh, the toilet at the door is great, more than 3 stars. If you drive yourself, please be aware that there may be no place to park if you arrive too late. If you don't want to park in the big parking lot in front of the roadblock on the only way managed by the villagers (5 yuan parking fee, but there is a short mountain road to the entrance of the scenic spot), you can talk to the villagers who gather and invite you to eat at the farm restaurant near the scenic spot, give some money (I gave 10 yuan, if you go to his house for dinner, you can waive this money) and park in front of the entrance of the scenic spot. Of course, after passing the roadblock, you can go to the regular place above (a bit small and the road is steep) to park for free.
The three of us went straight to the ticket gate, but were told that we could only enter with the last group of tour guides at 4:30. Helplessly, we waited at the gate for nearly half an hour before a tour guide took us in. Suddenly, nearly 20 people appeared from nowhere and entered the cave in a mighty manner. The temperature dropped sharply as soon as we entered the cave, and our legs were cold and damp. The tour guide was quite patient in explaining every attraction. The so-called attractions were just based on the shapes of stalactites. The tour guide said that 30% were similar and 70% were imagined. Because I had been to Jiuxiang, Yunnan before, I could still control my inner shock, unlike my younger brother who was touching, looking and taking pictures everywhere, looking like he had never seen the world~ Shihua Cave is really large in scale. Only four of the seven underground floors are open. The whole journey is 2,500 meters, and the ticket price is 70 yuan. They are all artistic treasures that are hundreds of millions of years old, which requires the right time and place. Renhe (no one should have anything to do with it), mainly because of the water and the special minerals in the water that have developed to today's scale. The air in the cave is getting thinner and thinner, a little stuffy, and not as cold as when I first came in. The tour guide said that the cave is kept at 13-14 degrees all year round. I started to return from the fourth floor. Because I had been going down before and didn't feel tired, there were steps when I returned. The soreness from climbing in the morning began to spread all over my body, and my companions began to breathe. It took more than 20 minutes to get to the exit. After I came out, the air was unobstructed, and the moisture on my body was blown away at once. It was really dry. While waiting at the entrance of Shihua Cave, I asked the staff of the scenic spot about the battery car outside. The staff said it was private, not the scenic spot. I checked it online and found that the battery car was free in the past few years. I don’t know when it was contracted by individuals. It costs 5 yuan per person for a one-way trip and 10 yuan per person for a round trip. China’s tourism industry is really hard to say. When I think of the big sister who solicited customers when I just arrived at the parking lot, she told us that it was 20 yuan per person for a round trip. In fact, it depends on the person’s price. I feel unhappy. After coming out to call Yaoyao to reunite, we paid 20 yuan for the electric car (5 yuan per person for four people).
We visited Shihua Cave for an hour and felt it was spectacular and I was deeply impressed.
[Shihua Cave] A six-layer natural cave with a height difference of 130 meters. The tour length is 2,500 meters. It has been more than 500 years since its discovery. It takes about an hour and a half to walk the whole way. The renovated road inside is much easier to walk. The humidity in the cave is 90%, and it gets hotter and hotter as you walk.
The naturally formed landscapes of various shapes, coupled with the lights, are nice to appreciate.
Shihua Cave is on the way back from Puwa Township and is quite close to the urban area of Beijing.
After arriving at the parking lot, you must park in a parking lot surrounded by locals, which costs 5 yuan. You can walk up or take a local car, which costs 20 yuan per trip and is about 500 meters (but they said 3 miles), and you can bargain.
Currently (2016), 7 floors have been developed inside, and 4 floors are currently open to the public.
The first two floors are easy to walk on, suitable for the elderly and children, and there is basically no need to go back and forth; the 3rd and 4th floors have many stairs, which are relatively tiring to walk. It is a bit tiring for people with average physical strength. It takes about 40 minutes to go back and forth. The fourth floor is equivalent to 150 meters underground. According to the calculation of 3 meters per floor, it is about 50 floors high.
There is no large stream in Shihua Cave, so you can't go boating. However, because the stream is small, some sedimentary shapes are formed that are more special than other underground karst caves (anti-gravity stone shields and beautiful silver flowers).
When you go in, the tour guide will give a lecture every 30 minutes. The tour guide explains very well and you can communicate and ask questions.
Overall, the scenic area is well developed, but there are not many facilities.
Shihuadong Scenic Area is located in Nancheying Village, Hebei Town, Fangshan District, Beijing, 40 kilometers away from the city. It is the karst cave sightseeing area of Fangshan World Geopark, a national scenic spot, a national 4A-level tourist area, China's best karst cave wonder, and one of China's four famous caves.
Take the subway Fangshan Line to Liangxiang South Gate, then transfer to Line 43 to the end, get off and walk a few steps to the Shihua Cave Scenic Area; the ticket is 70 yuan, which is quite expensive, after all, the tickets for scenic spots in Beijing are generally more conscientious. There are four floors in total, and there are stone chrysanthemums on the fourth floor. After seeing other large caves, this one is slightly inferior, but it is also worth seeing.
It's worth the trip, it's a place that makes people feel that it's worth the money
This cave is relatively large in the north. If you don't plan to visit the largest stalactite cave in Asia or the world, then this place is worth a visit. The scenic spot was developed very early, and the various facilities are relatively complete. I personally think it is especially suitable to visit in summer, and it is quite cool inside. You can drive here by yourself or take the bus. It is an old scenic spot. You can just check the location on Baidu.
Located in Fangshan District, Shihua Cave is a great geographical wonder with the power and traces of time. Shihua Cave is a large cave 150 meters deep from the ground. Walking down layer by layer, it is cold and damp, and you can see strange stalactites. It is recommended for geography enthusiasts to visit.
Shihuadong Park is located in the suburbs. The temperature inside the scenic area is very cool and the light is dim. There are all kinds of strange-shaped stalactites inside. Under the illumination of colorful lights, it is also a natural wonder.
At present, 4 floors of Shihua Cave have been opened. It takes about 2-2.5 hours to walk through the whole process. It is very necessary to wear a pair of light shoes (leather shoes are not recommended). The ground in the cave is a bit slippery, and the light is dim in some places. When visiting, you need to pay attention to your feet and take care of the elderly and children traveling with you (it should be reminded that the entrance and exit of Shihua Cave are not together, and you cannot return by the original route. There are also roads to climb up and down. People with poor health, the elderly, children and other groups should do what they can according to their actual situation). The temperature in Shihua Cave is 13℃ all year round. In summer, please bring a coat to avoid catching a cold. It is not recommended to bring too many useless things when visiting the cave. It is mainly light (baby strollers are basically not used, and it is a burden to bring them, which is also inconvenient when visiting). It is most convenient to travel to Shihua Cave by car.
The journey to the cave is quite long. We walked for more than 2 hours. Some places are a bit steep, so we must take good care of the elderly and children. The scenery in the cave is still good, especially with the lights, the effect is very good. I just feel that parking is not very convenient. I don’t know if it is because of the National Day holiday. In addition, it is recommended to bring water when visiting. The tour is more physically demanding and it is easy to get thirsty! At noon, I had a meal at a farmhouse called Slow Life on the roadside in the scenic area. The taste was very good! Overall, I personally feel that it is worth a visit!
Shihua Cave is a national key scenic spot, a national AAAA-level tourist attraction, and a karst cave sightseeing area of Fangshan World Geopark.
The trip to Shihua Cave was all about my childhood memories of Beijing. The road to Shihua Cave was completely desolate at that time. I can only vaguely remember the stalactites in Shihua Cave, which were illuminated by colorful lights. Even the name of this place can only be remembered through the group photos taken during the visit. The underground cave was not overdeveloped by the tourism industry at that time, and I just watched it with adults out of curiosity. Playing in it to my heart's content is the memory of Shihua Cave that I have left.
I am a Beijing native~haha. So I go everywhere in Beijing! If you have any questions, ask me
【What to do in Shihua Cave? 】
1. It is said that there are 7 layers in Shihua Cave, but only 4 layers are open to tourists. Layers 1-2 are suitable for all ages, while layers 3-4 are a little deeper and more difficult, so it is not recommended for the elderly to go down.
2. The cave is not very big, and it took just over two hours to walk through it at a moderate speed and take a short break.
3. The tour route is very fixed. Just follow the direction everyone is walking in. You won’t get lost.
4. There are two spots in the cave where you can take commemorative photos for free. They are very conspicuous. Remember to take photos. Large photos cost 10 yuan each, and small photos are free.
5. There is water on the rocks and the ground is very slippery. Don't forget your feet while enjoying the beautiful scenery.
Beijing Shihua Cave National Geopark is located in Nancheying Village, Hebei Town, Fangshan District, Beijing, 55 kilometers away from the capital. It is a seven-layer karst cave with a height difference of 150 meters. Now the first and second layers and part of the third and fourth layers are open to the public, with a tour length of 2,500 meters. Shihua Cave was originally named "Qianzhen Cave" and has been discovered for more than 500 years. Because there are three marble Buddha statues carved in the cave, it was renamed "Shifo Cave" and was once very popular. Shihua Cave is a karst cave discovered in China with a large scale, multiple cave layers, complete sedimentary types, and a large number of secondary chemical sediments. Its aesthetic value and scientific research value can also rank among the world's caves. It is known as the four major karst caves in China together with the world-famous Guilin Reed Flute Cave, Fujian Yuhua Cave, and Hangzhou Yaolin Cave.
Shihua Cave is one of the four major karst caves in China and a rare cave in the north. It has beautiful scenery and is very cool inside. You need to bring a thin coat even in summer. There are many steps and the road is slippery, so it is not suitable for children and the elderly. It takes about two hours to walk through it. It is more suitable for self-driving because the bus is really slow, basically one trip per hour, and you have to wait a long time if you miss it.
