Regarding the route to Black Valley, I personally recommend driving yourself. This way you can better manage your time.

If driving is tiring and you'd rather save the hassle, public transportation is available. Direct buses run from Chongqing Nanping and Chenjiaping to Wansheng, and taxis are convenient for reaching the scenic area. My friends and I entered Black Valley from the north gate and then took the cable car back from the south gate. Due to the terrain, Black Valley's route follows a plank path that follows the valley's streams, making for a simple and easy hike. Entering from the north, we walked along the Diecuilou Service Area, Kunniu Pond, the Wishing Tree, the Nine-Curve Painting Screen, Chengyaoyan, the Release Pond, and the Dream Waterfall. The autumn breeze, like a painter dipping his brush in paint, suffused the Black Valley with vibrant colors. The vibrant red fruits dotted the landscape, adding to the allure of autumn. Wandering through Black Valley, I was particularly impressed by its lush green mountains and clear waters. The dense vegetation makes the air particularly refreshing. Consequently, we stumbled upon numerous negative oxygen ion experience areas. Negative oxygen ions not only purify the air but also have therapeutic and health benefits. That's why Black Valley is known as China's most beautiful health-preserving canyon. If you have the chance to visit, be sure to take a deep breath here, just like me. The scenic area is lush with trees, shadows cast by the trees, and the water gurgles, creating a breathtaking scenery. Walking along the rugged mountain paths and listening to the crystal-clear stream, every snap captures a smile, a beautiful memory of Black Valley. The stream at the valley floor seems like a natural dance, a scene that will leave you mesmerized. Precious trees like Alsophila spinulosa, Taxus chinensis, Cathaya argyrophylla, Davidia involucrata, and Ginkgo biloba can be found unexpectedly in corners of the scenic area, and the Alsophila spinulosa can be seen at the north entrance. Along the Liyu River, Black Valley offers canyons within canyons, valleys within valleys, caves within caves, and waterfalls within waterfalls. It constantly offers unique surprises, but the most striking are the waterfalls, large and small, flowing in a myriad of forms through the mountains. When I arrived, the crowds were still quite large. Walking along the gently paved plank path, admiring the scenery of the Carp River, I felt like I was swimming in a painting. At first, the crowds were thick, but as I gained more ground, I gradually left some behind, allowing me to appreciate the scenic area's tranquility. It felt like stepping into a primeval forest, exploring every plant and tree. The people standing on the bridge, admiring the view, also became part of my scenery. The entire scenic area is very well planned. There are plenty of places for visitors to rest and relax, and service points selling snacks and local specialties are available from time to time, perfect for those tired from the walk.

Located in Heishan Town, Wansheng District, Chongqing, 110 kilometers from downtown, this 5A-rated National Forest Park boasts a diverse array of unique landscapes, including steep canyons, bamboo forests, seas of clouds and waterfalls, karst caves and clear lakes, pristine vegetation, and rare animals. Most notably, one section of the park straddles Chongqing and Guizhou provinces, offering a sense of time travel, with Chongqing on one hand and Guizhou on the other! Besides the Longshui Gorge rift in Wulong, this most beautiful canyon closest to Chongqing is truly a truly surprising and delightful destination!

It's actually quite simple to visit Black Valley. Just drive to the North Gate, then take a bus to the South Gate and walk down the mountain. It's a breeze, you won't miss any of the attractions, and you can save on cable car fees. Just take a 5-yuan bus from the North Gate and drive right to your car! It's convenient, fast, and saves time and effort!

Black Mountain Valley is more than 20 miles away from Wansheng City. Driving up the mountain in the evening, the coolness gradually increased, which was very refreshing.

The valley is 13 miles long, half of which can be reached by foot and half by electric car (you can also choose to hike the entire way, but the scenery on the electric car section is average).

The overall feeling is still very good, with beautiful mountains and clear waters, picturesque scenery, and the wonders of nature are amazing.

It is recommended to travel by car.

To enter the scenic area from the north gate, you need to take an electric car for 30 yuan per person to the walking tour point of the scenic area. Otherwise, you have to walk 6 kilometers of mountain roads. There is not much scenery in these 6 kilometers. If you don’t take the car, you probably won’t have much interest in sightseeing after walking these 6 kilometers.

After arriving at the destination, we walked around. The road was relatively flat, but the last third of the way was uphill, which required a lot of energy. There was a cable car at the last section for 30 yuan per person, but I don't recommend taking it because the most beautiful scenery is just below this section of the cable car.

Arrive at the South Gate and buy a ticket to the North Gate for 20 yuan per person, return to the North Gate to pick up the bus, and end your tour.

Haha, I was afraid of being tired, so I entered from the South Gate and didn't take the cable car. In the end, I took a battery car for 30 yuan to the North Gate, and then took a bus for 20 yuan back to the South Gate to pick up the car. Together with the 85 yuan entrance fee, the total cost was 135 yuan. It took a total of 4 hours from entering the parking lot to returning to the parking lot to pick up the car, and the battery car and bus took 1 hour because they had to wait until the time was up before they left.

It takes a whole day to visit here. You can walk, stop, listen and look around. It is a good way to relax, empty your mind and integrate into nature.

It is said to be the dividing line between Guizhou and Chongqing in ancient times. It has long mountain streams and great scenery, making it a good place to escape the summer heat.

Today I went to Black Valley and it was very cold when I got off the car at the South Gate parking lot. The air was very good after the rain. We entered from the south and exited from the north. The ticket price was okay for May Day, but I personally think the price of the battery car and bus was too expensive. The other scenery was good. It took about 4 hours (depending on your own situation)

The bus stops at the South Gate. Enter from the South Gate, skip the cable car, and walk to the Diecuilou Service Area. Take a bus to the North Gate and exit. Then take a bus from the North Gate to the South Gate.

I went there in early summer and it rained. It was very beautiful. I also saw a rainbow. It was really beautiful! There are buses to the scenic area, which is convenient. It is said that there will be a lot of people on holidays, but it is still very comfortable on non-holidays.

There are many waterfalls. The tour guide said there are wild monkeys, but I didn’t see any. What a pity.

It seems to be in a holiday park, so the scenery is quite good. I can barely be considered someone who has been to the Black Valley. The foggy environment is particularly forest-like and literary. Chongqing Wansheng Black Valley is located in Heishan Town, Wansheng District, 20 kilometers from downtown Wansheng. With its high mountains, dense forests, crisscrossing streams and rivers, and rarely visited, it preserves one of the few intact subtropical and temperate natural ecosystems at its latitude. With a forest coverage rate of 97%, it has been hailed by experts as the "Biological Gene Bank of Chongqing and Guizhou." It is currently the largest and best-preserved natural ecological scenic area in Chongqing.

I personally think it's a bit of a rip-off. To enter the scenic area, you need to buy a 20 yuan bus ticket (from the visitor center to the South Gate or North Gate entrance) + a 30 yuan sightseeing bus ticket (if you don't buy it, you have to walk more than 6 kilometers, and there is no scenery along this road! I started from the South Gate and was exhausted by the time I got to the sightseeing bus, so I had to spend this money).

To be honest, the scenery is nice, and it's different in each season. I went there on August 25th in the summer. The temperature was about 35 degrees that day, and the temperature in the canyon of the Black Valley was about 20 degrees, which was cool. There were high mountain canyons, flowing waterfalls, green mountains and clear waters. I suggest entering from the South Gate and exiting from the North Gate. The whole journey is about 13 kilometers, and you need to walk about 8 kilometers. You can take a 1.5-kilometer cable car from the South Gate (I didn't take the cable car, but the scenery below the cable car is very good. It is not recommended to take the cable car at the South Gate). After walking about 9 kilometers, you can take an electric car. After about 6 kilometers, you can get to the bus stop at the North Gate and take the bus back to the North Gate Visitor Center.

On the contrary, if you enter from the North Gate, you need to take a bus (5 yuan) from the Visitor Center, enter the scenic area, and then take an electric car (30 yuan). You can also not take the electric car and walk the remaining 6 kilometers by yourself, and then go all the way to the South Gate and climb uphill for a few kilometers to the South Gate cable car boarding point, and take the cable car to the South Gate.

There aren't many special features. The only one that sells barbecue is run by a girl who overcharges customers. A corn sausage costs 6 yuan, and a saury costs 25 yuan, which is usually 3 yuan each.

The Black Valley is about 1,500 meters above sea level, which is about three times higher than Gele Mountain in Nanshan District, Chongqing. The valley bottom is more than 900 meters above sea level and has a total length of 13 kilometers. In order to avoid being too tired and to focus on the most scenic places, it is recommended to take a sightseeing bus and cable car.

Option 1: Stay near the North Gate, enter from the North Gate and exit from the South Gate. You can skip the sightseeing bus and walk about 12 kilometers. When you reach the uphill slope at the South Gate, if you are very tired, you can take the cable car and then take the scenic bus back to the North Gate. (Benefit: The North Gate is close to the rafting, so it is a possible option).

Option 2: Stay near the South Gate, enter from the South Gate and exit from the North Gate. You can skip the cable car and walk about 7 kilometers to Diecui Tower, take a sightseeing bus to the North Gate, and then take the scenic bus back to the South Gate. (Benefit: The South Gate is close to the Ordovician Period);

Option 3: Stay near the South Gate and enter and exit from the South Gate. You don't need to take the cable car when entering. Walk about 7 kilometers to Diecui Tower and then return the same way. If you're not physically fit, you can return the same way to Dengerhuang Bridge. If you're seriously weak, you can return early (Benefit: There are many scenic spots near the South Gate).

Special reminder: When going downhill at the South Gate, it is recommended to warm up first, use the strength of your legs and your toes to land slowly, and protect your knees.

I went there in the summer and it was very cool. The air was very fresh! It felt like cleansing my lungs!

To get to the Black Valley, you first need to take a short cable car and then start walking on the plank road. This place is probably closer to Zunyi, and the environment is quite good, with fresh air, lush trees, and occasional drizzle.

It takes about 3-4 hours to walk through the entire Black Valley. Due to time constraints, we did not go to the Dragon Scale Stone Forest, so I suggest that if you want to go to the Stone Forest, you must set off early and control your time, and if possible, stay there for one day.

I booked a guided tour on China-TravelNote, which only included transportation, for 140 yuan per person. After entering the scenic area, you'll need to take a bus from the visitor lobby into the mountain. After the bus arrives, you'll need to transfer to an electric car for another 3 kilometers to reach the scenic area. The scenic area is then a total of 9 kilometers. The first 6 kilometers are relatively flat, while the last 3 kilometers are stairs (there's a cable car available for those with less stamina). Also, if you want to visit the glass plank road, you'll need to go to the Ordovician section.

After passing the Chongqing-Guizhou Grand Canyon, it's basically uphill, with waterfalls all the way. After passing the Cibafang, you're almost at the lower station of the cable car. If you have enough energy, I recommend continuing up, because there's a Shenlong Pond and Shenlong Waterfall behind. When we reached Shenlong Pond, we could already hear the loud sound of the waterfall, but unfortunately, we didn't go to see it because we were short of time. Instead, we looked at Shenlong Pond from the steps.

In the long and narrow valley of the Black Valley, you can build a path along the mountain, go downstream or upstream, and keep company with the water all the way. The spring scenery in the forest is just right, and the temperature is moderate when the sun sets. It feels like a leisurely spring outing!

From the moment you enter the canyon, you'll find a stream running alongside. The water is crystal clear, a pale green or blue. A friend who was traveling with me said it's because of the minerals in the water. You can see the bottom, and there are many fish, both large and small. Passersby are amazed by the sight, thinking that the fish raised in this unpolluted, natural water must be incredibly delicious!

In addition, there are some small suggestions for visiting the Black Valley. First, if you feel that you are prone to motion sickness or have a cold and are prone to motion sickness, please prepare motion sickness medicine and motion sickness patches in advance, because the road to the Black Valley is basically a mountain road, winding and winding, with many bends, which can easily cause motion sickness.

Secondly, I suggest that friends can go down the mountain from the South Gate to the North Gate. Going down the mountain from the South Gate to the North Gate is like going down the mountain. When you reach the Diecuilou Service Center, if you feel tired, you can take a sightseeing bus. Although it is quite expensive, it is still 6 kilometers from the Diecuilou Service Center to the North Gate Visitor Center, so going down from the South Gate has some advantages.

Overall it's pretty good, with beautiful scenery, mountains and water. The whole journey is 13 kilometers, and it's quite tiring to finish. It's worth a try for those who like hiking or walking, but you have to leave enough time, firstly for self-cultivation and secondly because visiting the canyon is time-consuming.

The scenery in the Black Valley is stunning! The air is so fresh and clean, it truly lives up to its reputation as a natural oxygen bar. I entered through the north gate and hiked the entire way, skipping the sightseeing bus and cable car. The first 6 kilometers aren't particularly scenic, so I recommend taking the sightseeing bus to save energy. For solo sightseeing and relaxation, this is a great place to visit.

It's breathtakingly beautiful. It's not too tiring to walk downhill from the south gate.

The scenery was stunning, but! Take note! The service was incredibly poor! After arriving at the North Gate by sightseeing bus, we asked where the visitor center was and whether we needed to take a bus. The ticket inspector told us it was just outside the gate, and the bus was headed for the South Gate, without giving us the exact distance. As a result, the six-kilometer walk from the North Gate to the visitor center took over an hour, a very arduous six-kilometer climb with steep inclines. We tried to flag down the shuttle bus to the scenic area, but it didn't stop. There were no clear signs or notices within the scenic area explaining the exact distances between locations.

After staying in Shanghai for a long time, people are very impatient, and bad weather will affect your mood. I spent another day in the Black Valley, looking at the blue sky and white clouds all day, breathing in the natural oxygen all day, feeling refreshed, and not feeling tired at all.

It's a canyon with pleasant scenery, fresh air, and various suspension bridges. It takes quite a while to walk along the way, stopping and starting.

The road is too long. It takes half a day to walk around. It is extremely unsuitable for the elderly and children! Also, the food inside is too bad. The chopsticks in the fast food restaurant are moldy. No one goes there. The scenery is also very ordinary after seeing it for a long time.

The Black Valley Scenic Area, located within Heishan Town and Shilin Town in Wansheng District, boasts a unique blend of mountains, water, springs, forests, caves, and breathtaking scenery. The scenic area's core attractions are primarily concentrated within the 7.5km canyon between the South Gate and Diecui Tower. There are few attractions along the 6km road from Diecui Tower to the North Gate. The Black Valley tour can only be done in one direction: from the North Gate to the South Gate (1km for the cable car/2.0km for the walk), the lower cable car station (1.5km), Lingbo Terrace (2.0km), Jucui Pavilion (2.0km), Diecui Tower (6.0km), the North Gate (2km), and the North Gate bus stop at Bus No. 106. The walking route between the North Gate and the South Gate is 13.5km long. From Wansheng Bus Station, take Bus No. 106 (1 yuan/person) to the North Gate Station (2km from the North Gate). Buses 113, 118, or 123 reach the South Gate.

Walking between streams and forests, friends who have stayed in the north for a long time are recommended to experience it. It is very good for exercising, because Chongqing has winding roads, and going up and down hills is beneficial to both body and mind.

If you also love mountains, rivers and nature, you might as well go and experience it.

Black Valley should be renamed Black Heart Valley. The scenery inside is similar to the valleys in the nearby mountains. The sightseeing bus and transfer bus to scenic spots are extremely expensive.

The 5A rating is a bit of a stretch. The scenery is average, nothing special, but there are so many suspension bridges that I felt like vomiting. Another downside is that if you drive in through the South Gate, after visiting the scenic spots, you have to take an electric car (30 yuan) to the North Gate. (You can walk, but it's a bit far, about six or seven kilometers, and there aren't many sights along the way, but you can play in the river.) The North Gate doesn't have anything to offer; you just pass by. You then take a 20 yuan bus to the South Gate to pick up your car. So, what's the point of the North Gate? In my opinion, is it just a waste of money?

I went there a while ago and suddenly thought of writing a review. The Black Valley is incredibly cool, perfect for a summer getaway. Going rafting there in the summer would have been great, but unfortunately it wasn't hot enough, so we didn't go. Since we were on a road trip, we went there and back the same day. We were a bit rushed, so we skipped other areas and just went inside the Black Valley. The scenery was lovely, but the tickets were a bit of a rip-off. You only get one ticket, but there are tons of other bus tickets. When I came out, I had a thick stack of tickets, mostly bus tickets. Oh, and there's rock climbing there, so if you're a bit adventurous, give it a try. It looks pretty tough! I hope this helps someone else out there.

It's actually a large canyon, a scenic spot at the base of a mountain. I haven't been to any other canyons, but overall, it's quite impressive. The climate is pleasant, the air is fresh, and it's said to be high in negative ions. It's one of the attractions closer to Chongqing city, but not as famous as Wulong, so naturally, there aren't as many people!

If you have less stuff, you can bring it up the mountain and don't have to go back to the South Gate.

Thanks to World Forest Day, Black Valley is offering free admission during this period, making us incredibly tempted. (Of course, sightseeing buses and cable cars are optional.) I wonder why Black Valley got its name? To me, it's not dark at all, just a vibrant, lush green. "A deep canyon holds the mountains in its shadows, a long, rocky path stretches back and forth. When you reach the border of Chongqing and Guizhou, you look up and see a ray of blue sky." Guizhou and Chongqing border each other, one foot in Chongqing, the other in Guizhou—such unique geographical features are everywhere.

Black Valley can become a 5A scenic spot, that's for sure. The scenery is nice and it's close to the city. However, I went there in 2014. I liked the scenery, but I didn't like the cars. When I left the scenic area, I took an electric car, then a minibus, and then squeezed into a bus to go down the mountain. And at that time, some of the nearby areas were still under construction. These are not big problems, and the scenic spot is still worth recommending.

One of the most beautiful canyons I've visited, but it's a bit far from the main canyon. It was a hassle to get there and back.

It was a bit hot and stuffy when we went there today, but it was still cool inside. We entered from the South Gate and took the cable car when we went down because the scenic spots at that section were still under repair. The scenery behind was pretty good. It was best to take a tour bus for the last section to the North Gate. Don't ask me why, because it was the route I took. Generally speaking, the Black Valley is best to go in midsummer.

The Black Valley is a 12-kilometer-long mountain. The last 6 kilometers require a sightseeing bus to the North Gate (you can walk, but the road there is all cement, and the scenery is not as good as the first 6 kilometers. I didn't see anyone walking that 6 kilometers that day). The first 1 kilometer after entering the South Gate is a downhill road. You can also take a cable car.

If there is one thing that makes the Black Valley special, it is probably its tranquility. Here, there are no worldly worries, only the sounds of flowing water, frogs, and birds.

A major feature of the Black Valley is that it straddles Chongqing and Guizhou provinces. This bridge, the Chongqing-Guizhou Boundary Bridge, allows you to step into both provinces. In the Black Valley, you'll never know when you're actually in Guizhou.

It was my first solo trip, and I walked the entire way. According to the exercise timer, I walked nearly 20 kilometers, which took four and a half hours. It's best to go south and exit north, and it's best to travel without luggage. Driving would require taking a bus back, which is not very convenient. The scenery along the way was beautiful, with fresh air, the sound of a gurgling stream, and the chirping of birds and the quietness of the trees. I walked the last six kilometers alone, and I admire my courage and scared my baby. A tourist bus would have only taken ten minutes to get there, but I took a lot of beautiful photos along the way. It was worth it and good for my health. Overall, it was a very enjoyable hike! I'm writing this review here, hoping it's useful to you!

Suitable for water-friendly family outings. For adults, long walks can be a bit monotonous.

A local friend introduced me to the Black Valley. At that time, I thought it was a little-known tourist attraction that I hadn't heard of much, but after visiting it, I personally gave it a better rating than the Wulong Three Bridges.



I followed the recommendation to start the descent from the South Gate. While it was somewhat stressful on my knees, I encountered many exhausted travelers who had ascended from the North Gate, so I decided this was a better choice for my stamina. The crowds in Black Valley were much smaller than in Wulong. [Wulong is packed, while Black Valley is so sparse that there might only be four or five people on a long stretch.] While the scenery isn't as spectacular and unique as Wulong's cenotes, it's more varied and captivating. The water in Black Valley is truly spiritual, several levels clearer than in Wulong. The negative oxygen ion experience area was so refreshing and refreshing that I didn't want to leave. I went hiking with a sore throat, but after visiting Black Valley, I felt much better.



The Black Valley's service development is also very good. There are many restrooms and service areas along the way, and the snacks are delicious. The wooden bridge cableway is very diverse, and I really like the wooden bridge floating on the water. It can be said that the scenic road adds a lot of fun to the whole journey.

Chongqing Longtou Temple Tourist Distribution Center now has a direct bus service to Black Valley. It departs at 8:00 AM and returns at 5:30 PM. It's very convenient. 😄 The drive takes a little over two hours and reaches the entrance of the Black Valley Visitor Center. From the Visitor Center, take a bus to the South or North Gate of Black Valley. We entered through the South Gate and exited through the North Gate. In the end, we couldn't walk anymore and took an electric car out. 😂 I really recommend entering through the South Gate and exiting through the North Gate. At least you can take an electric car out if you can't walk anymore. The walk to the North Gate is downhill. The air is very good. The waterfall. I guess it didn't rain much. There was no water in the waterfall. There was no water. Adults and children still had a lot of fun playing in the shallow part. 😄

Black Valley, approximately 100 kilometers from Chongqing, offers convenient transportation and is a perfect weekend road trip destination. Personally, I consider it the best of Chongqing's surrounding areas, rivaling, if not surpassing, the beauty of Wulong, Jinfo Mountain, and Jindao Gorge. The valley itself is 13 kilometers long, and we recommend entering through the South Gate, as it's mostly downhill and saves effort. The sightseeing cable car, which ascends about 1,000 meters, is accessible upon arrival, but we recommend avoiding it as you'll miss out on the scenery, especially for those with mobility issues or those who are elderly. There are two service areas along the way where you can rest and grab some affordable snacks. Within the valley, you'll be greeted by blue skies and white clouds, and surrounded by verdant mountains and clear waters. The air is refreshing and invigorating, and the small waterfalls, both large and small, are within easy reach, making you forget all your worries. The last 6 kilometers are paved and lack much to see. For those less physically fit, we recommend taking the sightseeing bus, which costs 30 yuan and is quite reasonable. From the North Gate, you can take the scenic bus back to the South Gate or the Visitor Center as needed. We entered the South Gate at 10:30 AM and hiked the entire way. The last 6 kilometers took only 55 minutes at a brisk pace, bringing the total to 3.5 hours. Overall, Black Valley was fantastic. First, the scenery is stunning, as evidenced by the pictures. Secondly, the service was excellent. Every question was answered patiently by the staff, who were all neatly dressed, including the drivers, who were dressed in formal suits. Finally, the price was reasonable. The 20 yuan fare for the 12-kilometer mountain road from the South Gate to the North Gate was a steal, and there were no rip-offs. Note: Don't believe the private cars and designated drivers at the entrance who tout you for long waits or anything like that. The scenic area service is truly convenient and safe.

This was also an attraction not included in the itinerary arranged by my family. Known as the "Yu-Guizhou Biological Gene Bank," it is currently the largest natural ecological scenic area in Chongqing, with the most intact pristine ecological preservation. It's a 300-kilometer round-trip drive from downtown Chongqing, and you have to walk several kilometers within the scenic area. I had previously visited Wulong, so I had lost some of my impression of this place.

The last time I went to Black Valley, I did it on my own. A day would have been enough, unless I wanted to stay overnight in the valley. I still find it easier to join a tour group. The air was fresh, as is the case with all the mountains and rivers in Chongqing. I didn't take the cable car or the electric car, but walked the whole way. The whole point of this place is to take your time and enjoy the scenery.

Wansheng Black Valley Scenic Area is a great place to cool off in the summer in Chongqing. It is 110 kilometers away from the city center of Chongqing. You can drive from Qijiang to Wansheng or from Nanchuan to Wansheng. The entire route is on highway and the distance is about the same.

The Black Valley Scenic Area is 13 kilometers long, with about 1 kilometer covered by cable car, 6 kilometers by electric car, and 6 kilometers of walking distance for the canyon and plank road. The entire tour takes 3-4 hours, depending on your leg strength. It is recommended that visitors enter from the south gate and exit from the north gate, as the route is mostly downward and less tiring.

The scenery of Black Valley is characterized by its pristine, natural valley scenery, characterized by its lush greenery, seclusion, and unique beauty. Compared to Chongqing's Beibei Jindao Gorge and Wulong Difeng, the vegetation here is more lush, the air is fresher, and the canyon is longer. I personally prefer the stream in Black Valley; it is cool and transparent, flowing through shallow rocks, sometimes turbulent, sometimes calm, sometimes forming waterfalls, and sometimes flowing gently. It is a great place to watch and appreciate the water.

A natural oxygen bar and pristine Grand Canyon, it's worth a visit.

After five years, I returned to Black Valley. The scenery remains unchanged, but the number of visitors has increased. Although advertised as being around 20 degrees Celsius year-round, it was still a bit warm in mid-to-late August. However, the air quality is much better than in the main city. The scenic area even has a dedicated oxygen zone, but the sun was so hot! The corn in Black Valley is delicious!

The Black Valley is very cool. It takes 3 hours to walk through the valley, entering from the north gate and exiting from the south gate. You can take the cable car or climb up for the last section. The valley is full of negative ions.

The Black Valley Scenic Area is located in Heishan Town, Wansheng Economic and Technological Development Zone. The scenic area covers an area of 100 square kilometers and is 110 kilometers away from Chongqing City. It is an ideal place for canyon crossing, rafting, rock climbing, camping, fishing and hunting.

It's a very nice canyon, but it requires enough physical strength.

I fell in love with Chongqing during my first trip. I will go there again. Wait for me.

Black Valley is located in Wansheng District, Chongqing, about an hour's drive from downtown. It's a great summer escape and a great place for families. Entrance fees cost a few dozen yuan. Black Valley is a natural canyon. Visitors can walk up or down the mountain, but walking down is recommended due to the knee strain of descending. There are various ways to get there. You can drive yourself, park at the foot of the mountain, walk up, and then take the scenic area's shuttle back to the parking lot at the foot of the mountain. You can also join a tour group from downtown, with one or two-day tours available. You can also take a bus from the Chongqing Tourism Distribution Center. Clear streams flow along the Black Valley, and in some places, the path is even built over the water. It's recommended to avoid leather shoes or sneakers; instead, wear river climbing shoes or comfortable slippers to enjoy the water and the hike. The final section can be a bit shaky, so elderly people who can't walk can take the cable car up.

Although the whole route to the valley is very long, a family or a group of friends can walk and play for a few hours and still not feel tired.

The scenery is pretty good, but it takes a very long time to walk down from the bottom of the mountain, so I had to take the sightseeing bus. When I got to the visitor center, I had to take a bus down, and there was a fee for that.

I had originally planned to visit Wulong, but I only had one day, so I chose Black Valley. This scenic spot near Wansheng was recently developed. It's mainly about the streams, waterfalls, and canyons, offering a pristine environment. I really enjoy this kind of attraction; a day trip isn't too stressful, and a leisurely stroll isn't tiring. Green mountains and clear waters surround you, and every few steps you'll spot a clear spring flowing through the mountains, filtered by layers of vegetation. Because we visited Black Valley on October 8th, the area was very deserted. I walked for half an hour without encountering a single person, making the valley feel exceptionally quiet—a bonus of traveling off-peak.

There are more people on holidays, but it’s okay on weekdays. I’m not a foodie, so I’m not very sensitive to food and don’t pay much attention to it.

The scenery is particularly beautiful, suitable for summer vacation when it is very hot

The mountains in Black Valley are not black, but I don’t know why it is called Black Valley. Browsing along the paths in the scenic area, sometimes in Chongqing and sometimes in Guizhou, I have been traveling back and forth between Chongqing and Guizhou from beginning to end.

I personally think it's pretty average, it's all up and down the mountain road, the scenery is average, I don't recommend it.

I can't believe we managed to complete the entire 13-kilometer hike just for the fun of it. So, we saw so many different sights. I have to admit, a lot of things here are pretty much the same. Except for the plank road and the floating bridge. Except for the mountains and the water. Well... that's pretty much it. It was cool. The weather is incredibly changeable. It rained twice in one afternoon, leaving the sky completely dark, and then it cleared up again.

There are still a lot of people on weekends, and it's not very cool, so it's recommended to go when the weather is suitable. Mountainous areas are prone to rain, so no matter what the weather forecast is, it's better to take precautions against rain.

Just looking at the water, walking along the waterway, with many bridges. I also saw monkeys in the mountains, and ate wild kiwis while staying at a local friend's house.

I don’t think a one-kilometer cable car is necessary. Wouldn’t it be better to experience the dangerous mountains and hills here on foot?

We hiked the entire distance this time, which was 13km in total, and took us five or six hours (including playing, taking photos, and eating, of course).

The most impressive thing about Black Valley is the air is really good, it's like a natural oxygen bar. The various waterfalls are very beautiful, the negative ion experience area is very healthy, and the light swaying bridge is very exciting.

It's a great place to escape the summer heat. It's great to go there in the summer, especially if you invite some good friends to go with you. There's nothing to eat there, so you can bring some food.

Black Valley is known in Chongqing for its cooler climate, prompting many to buy villas and houses nearby. Prices have soared to between 5,000 and 6,000 yuan. Once you enter and see the picturesque scenery, you'll understand the excellent feng shui here.
