Chongqing Baigongguan

Baigongguan, formerly known as Xiangshan Villa, was originally the villa of the warlord Baiju. It was later converted into a Kuomintang prison. It is a two-story building.
This is where the story of Little Radish Head took place. It was once where the Communists were imprisoned and where many martyrs died. Its historical significance is much greater than that of a tourist attraction.
There are two paths, one on the left and one on the right, which require climbing stairs. The left path is for visiting the Xiangshan Villa, which was actually where the "political prisoners" were imprisoned; the right path is for climbing the mountain to visit the place where Yang Hucheng was executed and the place where Xiao Luobotou was killed.

No tickets are required, but you need to scan your ID card to enter. As you slowly walk up the mountain, it starts to drizzle.

Whenever I go to a place, I always like to visit historical sites or various museums, but I never like to write about these, and I don’t know how to write them. Some things are better left quietly in my heart.

By Little Prince of Milan |

Zhazidong and the nearby Baigongguan are collectively known as the "Two Living Coffins." Baigongguan is about a 15-minute walk from Zhazidong along the mountain road. Baigongguan is located slightly higher, but fortunately, steps have been constructed on Gele Mountain, shortening the journey. Baigongguan was originally Baiju's villa, but was later converted into a prison by Dai Li to persecute revolutionaries. Little Radish Head and his parents were imprisoned there, as was General Yang Hucheng. At the entrance, there's a sculpture of Little Radish Head, dragging his head and gazing into the distance.

There is a scenic area bus between Baigongguan and Zhazidong, which costs 20 yuan per person. You can also take the bus from Baigongguan to the Martyrs' Cemetery and then transfer to the subway.

Zhazidong and Baigongguan, Jiang Jie and Little Radish Head, these places and characters appeared in books during our school days. When you see them, do you feel excited or a little sad like me?

By Echo |

In short, if you want to enter the Baigongguan courtyard, you have to queue up. If you want to enter the Baigongguan courtyard, you have to queue up.

Even waiting in line to visit Baigongguan was a shame. The space was incredibly cramped. While it might only be considered crowded in an open area, it was incredibly crowded here. The narrow paths barely allowed two people to walk side by side, and with people everywhere, you had to follow the person in front of you. It felt like you were crying out to the heavens and the earth, but nothing was working. Despair was written all over your face. It was raining, and everyone was holding umbrellas. Of course, your umbrella would get stuck in someone else's, but I was so busy trying to take care of my own that I didn't have time to bother with you. By the time we got back, the three of us were soaked, all from dripping water from other people's umbrellas. After entering the Baigongguan gate and climbing up, there were two forks in the road: one leading back to Baigongguan and the other to the site where Yang Hucheng and Little Radish Head died. There was no turning back, so we had to go to the back of Zhazidong Cave before returning to Baigongguan. The two places weren't as close as I'd imagined. The Baigongguan, once a villa, is now a verdant courtyard. I don't really know what I saw there. The former prison cells are covered with signs of a tragic past, and the crowds were so crowded that it was impossible to take a closer look, let alone bear it. All I remember now is the dark buildings, the cramped cells, the stifling heat, the crowded crowds, and the heavy rain that followed my arrival at Baigongguan, along with a history written in blood and tears and a profoundly sad and oppressive feeling.

In short, don't go to Baigongguan during National Day. If you truly want to mourn the revolutionary martyrs, it's better to take a day and experience it slowly. If it's really during a major holiday, don't go. Learning about their deeds is far better than visiting these empty cells. During National Day, the torture chamber at Baigongguan was also closed due to the large crowds, which probably disappointed many curious people. You can walk out of each area in just over ten minutes with the crowds. What can you really experience? I strongly urge that the number of people be limited during holidays.

The White Mansion was packed with visitors, filling the small courtyard. The only option was to follow the visitors, one by one, into each room. The rooms were filled with pictures and explanations, and many visitors carefully examined the images and descriptions, silently reciting the names of the martyrs. The martyrs, unafraid of death and with an unwavering belief in the victory of the revolution, inspired the visitors.

In the second cell, a "Five-Star Red Flag" is placed in the window. After years of vicissitudes and baptism, its color is no longer so bright, but it is still like a spark that can start a prairie fire at any time.

In the bushes under the courtyard wall stands a gray-black sculpture of a child with a red scarf tied around his neck, a big head and a small body. This is the statue of Little Radish Head.

Starting in 2019, Baigongguan began implementing reservations for visits. Those who want to visit need to make an appointment in advance. Baigongguan is a prison, and the red scenic area is free and open to the public. The tour only takes about ten minutes. The back hill is where General Yang Hucheng was killed. It is difficult to climb, but it is not very large. I felt heavy after seeing it. At the exit, there is a technologically restored version of Baigongguan Red Rock 1949. The ticket price is 50 yuan, which is a bit expensive, but it was worth it after seeing it. There are also staff to explain it.

There's a scenic shuttle bus between Zhazidong and Baigongguan, connecting several scenic spots for 20 yuan. After queuing up, the roads within the scenic area were constantly jammed. It was so frustrating, I just thought I'd rest in the bus! Eventually, we got off and walked a few hundred meters to Baigongguan, also known as Xiangshan Villa. The villa is located halfway up the mountain. Up the steps, you'll see several sites, including the site where General Yang Hucheng was assassinated. However, I really don't recommend going up! I was so exhausted I didn't even make it to the top! Maybe I didn't rest enough yesterday. Lele and his dad did go up for a stroll, and Lele was still very attentive. I hope he learned something.

Zhazidong, Baigongguan, and Songlinkou have all been integrated into the Red Rock Soul Scenic Area. For patriotic education, all are free, though hiking can be a bit tiring on a rainy day. You can also buy a 20 yuan sightseeing bus ticket and follow the bus to visit all the sites.

The whole place is filled with a gloomy atmosphere. The war years are very long ago, but the stories left here are still being spread. I think as long as someone still remembers them, they are not really dead, or their deaths are not in vain.

By Leo |

Another of Chongqing's business cards. If you come to Chongqing and don't come here, you might feel a little regretful. This place can't be considered tourism, it should be regarded as receiving revolutionary education... So far, the entire Chongqing trip has come to an end. I will definitely come back in the future to slowly travel to the places I missed.

You need to prepare your physical strength before going here. The various attractions are located on Gele Mountain and you need to climb many steps.

Zhazidong and Baigongguan are known as the two living coffins, and admission is free.

A large number of revolutionary martyrs have sacrificed their lives here. The historical significance of visiting here is far greater than that of the scenic spot.

Baigongguan was originally the villa of Sichuan warlord Baiju. Baiju considered himself a descendant of Bai Juyi, so he borrowed Bai Juyi's nickname, Xiangshan Jushi, and named his villa Xiangshan Villa.

Baigongguan and Zhazidong are not close, so it is recommended to take a guided tour bus.

The bus will stop at the Hongyanhun Square in Zhazidong, Baigongguan. The ticket price is 20 yuan and you can ride it as many times as you want in a day.

By What about the officers? |

This is a place that every Chinese should visit to pay tribute to the revolutionary martyrs! The red flag embroidered by Jiang Jie is right here.

By When dreams slack off |

Baigongguan and Zhazaidong require reservations a day in advance, and I couldn't get a ticket on the day. I was going to give it one star, but I had to pay my respects to patriotic heroes. I added two stars, but I'm not sure how many people turned down the chance to attend after making reservations. It's a tough feeling to come all this way and be turned away. I gritted my teeth and tried again the next day.

By Rest assured, little thief |

A place where people received revolutionary education and a must-see destination for Chongqing tourism.

Reservations are now required in advance through the WeChat official account for visiting Baigongguan Zhazidong. Visiting Baigongguan requires physical effort, as it involves climbing a long flight of stairs, so it's best to bring plenty of water and food. Baigongguan offers a moving account of the murder of General Yang Hucheng and the story of Little Radish Head.

By The silent buffalo |

When we set out this morning, we learned that there were restrictions on the number of visitors and that reservations were required in advance. We called the tourism hotline and were told we had to scan a QR code on site! We hurried down the mountain, but the one-way mountain road was completely blocked by private cars, tour buses, passenger motorcycles, and a sea of tourists. It took me half an hour to squeeze up the mountain with my children. As soon as we arrived at the scenic area entrance, the announcement came over the loudspeaker that reservations were full. I was furious. The QR code for reservations was from the WeChat public account "Hongyan Lianxian." I couldn't understand why, if they really wanted to limit the number of visitors, they shouldn't have advertised "Hongyan Lianxian" so that visitors who couldn't make a reservation wouldn't have to squeeze on the mountain road, and the limit would have been implemented naturally. Why didn't the tourism customer service and the taxi driver say they didn't know? After a few days, my overall feeling is that the quality of Chongqing's tourism services has a lot of room for improvement!

By Evening Bloom |

As soon as you enter the scenic area, you will feel the gloom. Although the villa is built on Gele Mountain with beautiful mountains and rivers, you will not be in the mood to appreciate it when you think about the fact that it was once a prison.

By China-TravelNote users |

Baigongguan is also known as Xiangshan Villa. Why is it called Xiangshan? It is probably because the builders of the house wanted to commemorate their ancestor, Bai Juyi, a lay Buddhist in Xiangshan.

Later, Baigongguan was used by the Military Control Commission as a secret prison for communists and progressives.

The visiting area is mainly on the first floor.

By Jialei |

At Baigongguan, you can visit the environment where prisoners were interrogated at that time. It is similar to the torture chambers you see on TV.

After the visit, what Baigongguan wants to express now is how cruel and ruthless the Kuomintang was at that time.

By Bold |

It is quite tiring to walk around Zhazidong, Meiyuan and Baigongguan.

By Rice Cake Triangle Girl |

Before coming to Baigongguan, I didn't make any tourist guide, and I didn't know that this was a Kuomintang prison, nor did I know that it was where Jiang Jie was imprisoned.

Those vibrant lives once flourished, and these relics are left for future generations to sigh, commemorate, and reflect, but their souls have never left.

If you come to Chongqing during the National Day holiday, Baigongguan is your first stop.

Directions: I took the subway to Martyrs' Cemetery Station and then took a bus directly to Baigongguan. It was quite convenient.

Tickets: Free. (Guide fees apply)

Scenic Area: After entering the scenic area, you'll need to walk a short uphill path to Baigongguan, but the environment is exceptionally beautiful. The entire area is vast, the air is fresh, and the scenery blends beautifully with the mountains, water, flowers, and trees. After entering the gate, you'll first see a statue of martyr Xu Jianye. Then, continuing uphill, you'll see guide signs indicating directions (Baigongguan; the site where Little Radish Head was murdered; the Luo Shiwen and Che Yaoxian exhibition rooms; Daigong Ancestral Hall; the site where Yang Hucheng was murdered, etc.). Because it was crowded during the National Day holiday, I only visited Baigongguan for a brief tour.

Baigongguan was originally the suburban villa of Sichuan warlord Bai Ju, who claimed to be a descendant of Bai Juyi, and named it "Xiangshan Villa" after Bai Juyi's pen name. In 1939, the Military Intelligence Bureau established it as a detention center in Chongqing, and later converted it into a guesthouse. After the victory of the Anti-Japanese War, it became a special detention center for traitors. This is what we see today.

I think that learning history in class is not as good as visiting the places where history took place in person, which will leave a deeper impression.

Baigongguan isn't very large, consisting of two floors. Whether it's National Day or a permanent event, the second floor is closed. Entering from the front entrance, "Xiangshan Villa," you'll see a statue of Xiaoluo (Song Zhenzhong) on the right. Then, you'll walk along the path into each room, which tells the history of Baigongguan (from past to present), along with introductions to heroes and martyrs, and stories of those who lived there. The overall layout and decor are clearly Kuomintang-style, with slogans on the walls, reminiscent of scenes from TV dramas. Near the exit, there's an interrogation room worth a look. The air-raid shelter has a short, narrow path, and displays a wide variety of torture instruments, though they can only be viewed from a distance due to railings. The red background enhances the atmosphere.

There is a small commodity store at the exit. I went in and took a look around but it was not very interesting. However, friends who are interested may buy something there. The price-performance ratio is average.

Overall, Baigongguan is worth a visit. I also recommend visiting it on non-holidays, as it can be quite crowded. If you want a quiet visit and contemplation, visiting during holidays is definitely not recommended.

This is a rubbish place, crowded with people. I'll never come back to rubbish Chongqing.

By Rising Sun and Stars |

Here are the familiar Jiang Jie and Little Radish Head. Although the name "White Mansion" sounds nice, it was actually a prison where the Kuomintang imprisoned Communists. After seeing it, I had two feelings: first, Little Radish Head was so pitiful, being killed at such a young age; second, this attraction is so small, but there were surprisingly many people, so crowded that people were shoulder to shoulder. The weather was already very hot, alas!

By gemini |

There is a private tour guide in the parking lot of Baigongguan for us to share a car, including Baigongguan and some places where martyrs were killed. No tickets are required.

By Blue |

Once inside, a flight of stairs appeared before me, with no other option but to climb. Signs clearly marked the directions to Xiangshan Villa and the two viewing points: Little Radish Head and the site where Yang Hucheng was murdered. Xiangshan Villa was closer and therefore preferred. From Xiangshan Villa, I followed the signs to the other viewing point, which was another climb. Braving the scorching sun, I climbed a third of the way up, exhausted, and reluctantly turned back. All the while, I wondered what Little Radish Head must have felt as he made each step along the way. Did he know what lay ahead at the end? How unfortunate was this child, whose only memory was of prison, and how sorrowful his parents must have been. The Communists of those days were truly willing to sacrifice everything to defend the victory of the revolution.

By Adventurous Dreams |

This trip mainly visited the place where Little Radish Head and General Yang Hucheng were executed, which gave people a deep respect!

By A life full of flowers |

It was such a long way up the mountain, and there was no notice on the way telling me that Baigongguan was closed. I was really confused.

Tourists visiting during hot weather are advised to be cautious. There is no air conditioning in the room and the ventilation is poor. You will feel like you are in a steamer after just a few minutes. It is admirable that the tourists can endure the heat to watch. Friends who do not intend to visit for a longer period of time should find a cool place for themselves.

When talking about Baigongguan, one must think of Little Radish Head and General Yang Hucheng.

Baigongguan, formerly known as the Sino-US Cooperation Office, became a secret base for the Nationalist Army to detain Communist Party members after the Second Sino-Japanese War. The Qingshan Mountain is also home to the remains of General Yang Hucheng, one of the initiators of the Xi'an Incident, who was murdered there.

My companion was such a jerk! When we were planning our route the day before, he actually urged me to climb a mountain to get to Zhazidong. Bees, you must go to Baigongguan first, don't get ripped off.

By Cold Sea |

I was sweating profusely during this walk, but I think it was worth it and had great educational significance.

There is a tourist bus at the entrance of Ciqikou Ancient Town that goes directly to Baigongguan. It costs 10 yuan per person for a round trip. It is a beautiful red bus.

There were really a lot of people, and the place introduced the heroic deeds of Little Radish Head and General Yang Hucheng. I had searched Baidu for these stories in advance, and I acted as my boyfriend's tour guide while we were visiting. Otherwise, I would have quietly followed the tour guides around. It is more interesting to listen to the tour guide's explanation when visiting memorial halls, historical sites, etc.

The last stop is usually the place where General Yang Hucheng was executed. If you go back and walk to the place where Xiaoluotou was executed, you will see the sign leading to Zhazidong.

By Walking little rainbow |

There is a T003 city sightseeing bus from Ciqikou to Baigongguan, which costs 10 yuan for a round trip to Baigongguan.

Baigongguan is the Xiangshan Villa, which is not very big. It was later converted into a Kuomintang prison. It is also the place where the story of Little Radish Head took place. It once imprisoned the Communists and was also the place where many martyrs died.

I am glad to be here to witness this history.

Admission: Free

Opening hours: 9:00-17:00

Tips:

At the entrance of Baigongguan, many aunties will come up to you and try to get you into their vans. They also say that you have to climb a mountain to get to Baigongguan.

We were completely ripped off. We spent 10 yuan each and took the so-called van up the mountain.

In fact, it really doesn’t take more than ten minutes to go up the mountain! !

By Zhaoshine |

Xiangshan Villa was not very big and was later converted into a Kuomintang prison, a two-story building.

• This is where the story of Little Radish Head took place. It was once a place where Communists were imprisoned and where many martyrs died. Its historical significance far outweighs its tourist significance.

The interrogation room at Baigongguan was in an underground air-raid shelter, much more terrifying than the one at Zhazidong...

By lilyzhou |

Because I thought it was a very sad place, I didn’t take many photos.

It's quite a distance from Zhazidong to Baigongguan, so we recommend taking a taxi or motorbike. Our guide said we could just walk, so we did. It felt like we were climbing over mountains, going up and down the road. The sun was blazing, and it was hot in the middle of winter. Even with my coats off, I still felt hot in two layers. Along the way, we saw a simple sign saying "Shortcut to Baigongguan," and we took it as if it were a lifeline. The result was walking through farmland, farmhouses, and then over a small hill. It wasn't easy at all, was it?

After exiting Ciqikou, we boarded the T003 sightseeing bus to Baigongguan, which cost 10 yuan per person. Later, we realized this was a mistake, as this route only went to Baigongguan and back, not to Zhazidong. We should have taken the Jingjiao guided bus, which visited five scenic spots for 20 yuan.

By Cat girl in cat bed, |

Baigongguan and Zhazidong were the places where the Kuomintang imprisoned Communists. Seeing the torture instruments with my own eyes and listening to the explanations, I couldn't help but admire the peace that our predecessors exchanged their lives for, and taught future generations not to forget history.

By Imagining |

There are many black car drivers and tour guides at the entrance. Don't listen to their nonsense. Just go up by yourself. No tickets are required. The scenic area has a special tour guide car for 20Y/person. We walked the whole way.

Halfway up the mountain, I heard the tour guide talking about Little Radish Head. It reminded me of the Little Radish Head in my elementary school textbooks. Looking at the statue in the square, I felt a little different from what was described in the books. Many patriots were imprisoned here and spent difficult years. In the end, they were destroyed by the Kuomintang. Looking at the torture chamber at that time was really heartbreaking.

By Dandan |

Someone will give you a ticket when you enter the door, and you can watch it for free.

I didn't pay anyone to explain it to me, I just looked around and left. There were too many people.

By Huang Xiaoxie |

The environment at Baigongguan is much better than that at Zhazidong. After all, it was a place where high-ranking criminals were imprisoned and where leaders vacationed, so its feng shui must be pretty good, haha. Baigongguan is built on a mountainside, so visitors should be prepared to climb a lot of stairs. There are people at the main entrance saying they'll take you up for 10 yuan, but I personally recommend not taking the ride. Even if they do, it only takes you halfway up the mountain. You'll still have to walk a bit, and it's actually a great idea to enjoy the scenery while climbing.

The Baigongguan where I am now is the place where General Yang Hucheng was killed. Or we can say that Baigongguan has the appearance of an angel but the inside is a place of the devil. Countless martyrs have been buried here, including the little carrot head that everyone is familiar with in Chinese class.

By 🎀Willful grapefruit |

Take Subway Line 1, get off at Martyrs' Tomb, and then take Bus 210 across the street to Baigongguan. Along the way, you'll pass the Red Rock Soul Memorial Hall, Southwest University of Political Science and Law, Sichuan International Studies University, and then Baigongguan. First, visit the Xiangshan Villas, then walk up the mountain to the site of the Xiaoluobutou disaster. Finally, return to the highway and walk about 10 minutes inland to Zhazidong. It's recommended to stop at Ciqikou last so you can return home after shopping.

After exiting Zhazidong, walk a kilometer or so up the mountain to Baigongguan. I took a quick look and then left. I really didn't have much of an impression. Honestly, don't hit me.

It is free to visit Baigongguan, but there are many touts at the entrance of Baigongguan. They will come and ask you if you want to take a bus up and then tour from above, so you don’t have to climb up and down. It costs 10 yuan per person.

The mountain is marked with the places where Yang Hucheng and the well-known Little Radish Head were killed. Now Baigongguan is a revolutionary relic that allows future generations to remember the heroes and sigh for them.

The remaining barbed wire on the wall shows how gloomy this place is.

Located on Gele Mountain in Chongqing's Shapingba District, Baigongguan is a revolutionary relic commemorating revolutionary heroes. Originally the suburban villa of Sichuan warlord Bai Ju, Bai Ju, who claimed to be a descendant of Bai Juyi, named the villa "Xiangshan Villa" after his nickname, "Xiangshan Jushi." In 1939, Dai Li, head of the Kuomintang secret service, purchased the villa for a large sum of money and converted it into a prison for persecuting revolutionaries.

There is a road that leads directly to Baigongguan from Zhazidong, which takes about 15 to 20 minutes to walk. There is also a plum garden to visit on the way. Xiangshan Villa mainly holds the martyrs of the Revolutionary Committee of the Chinese Kuomintang. The conditions are better than those in Zhazidong Prison, but it also has interrogation rooms and dungeons.

Not recommended. The transportation is not convenient. The scenic spot is not fully open. Many rooms are not open. There are also many people on holidays. However, if you have a complex about this period of history, you might as well make the journey. I also made up for the relevant history lessons on the way here, which is also a gain.

The prisoners in Baigongguan were of higher rank than those in Zhazidong. Little Radish Head, the child we all learned about, was imprisoned here. His father, a subordinate of Yang Hucheng, was imprisoned in Baigongguan. After giving birth to Little Radish Head, his mother took him to visit the prison, hoping to let him see his biological father. The secret agents seized the opportunity and imprisoned both mother and child. Little Radish Head spent his life in prison from the age of eight months until he was shot by the secret agents at the age of eight. Thus ended the child's tender life.

In 1943, the Sino-US Special Technical Cooperation Office was established. Baigongguan served as its third guesthouse, while prisoners were moved to the nearby Zhazidong. After the victory of the Anti-Japanese War, Baigongguan was used as a special detention center. In the spring of 1947, the prisoners from Zhazidong were relocated back to Baigongguan. Baigongguan and Zhazidong are a pairing, but Baigongguan requires more time to explore. Besides this villa, which showcases the stories of these individuals, including a separate room for Little Radish Head, there are also several mountaintop attractions where Little Radish Head was shot and where anti-Japanese generals were shot.

It is actually very close from Ciqikou to Baigongguan, but it is really difficult to walk because it is all uphill.

The Kuomintang prison is a revolutionary relic. Next to it is the place where Little Radish Head and Yang Hucheng were killed, and you need to climb stairs to visit it.

This building, with the pleasant name of Xiangshan Villa, is the Baigongguan prison, where revolutionaries were persecuted. It is located in a secluded place on the mountain. The air-raid shelter inside was converted into an interrogation room, and there is also a dungeon, both of which are dark and gloomy.

There is a special tourist bus from Ciqikou to Baigongguan, which costs 20 yuan round trip. After arriving at Baigongguan, you can walk the entire way.

Located on Gele Mountain in Shapingba District, Chongqing, this revolutionary site commemorates the martyrs. From Xiaoshizi, take Metro Line 1 to the Martyrs' Cemetery, then take Bus 210 to Baigongguan. This was a famous Kuomintang prison, a prison for the persecution of Communists. As a red tourism attraction, admission is free. Visiting here is also about experiencing history.

The mountain path is difficult to navigate. There are private Baigongguan buses [unofficial] that cost 15 yuan per person and take visitors directly to the top, where you can then hike down. If you really want to visit, I recommend this option; we didn't get on one until halfway up the mountain because we couldn't stand the climb. There's a shuttle bus to nearby attractions at the entrance of Baigongguan for 20 yuan per person, with a sticker provided. It takes you from Baigongguan to Zhazidong, Plum Garden, Hongyan Square, and more. It saves a lot of energy and is recommended. After all, it's located on Gele Mountain, and the ups and downs are quite challenging.

If you come across a tour guide giving an explanation, stop and listen. If you go by yourself and don’t understand that bloody history, it will be really boring, and there will be so many people.

Baigongguan was originally Chiang Kai-shek's villa. Due to the large number of martyrs killed in the area, Chiang refused to live there, and Dai Li took over. It's also famous for the site where Yang Hucheng and his son were killed, and Little Radish Head. It also requires a tiring climb. There are illegal taxis at the entrance, but taking them is not recommended. If you're in good physical condition, you can climb quickly on your own.

It should be considered a red education base. It was very exciting to go there.

On January 23, 2018, the whole family visited Geleshan Revolutionary Park and first visited Baigongguan. The Red Revolution tour was very educational.

The interrogation room at Baigongguan was in an underground air-raid shelter, much more terrifying than the one at Zhazidong...

There is a heavy history here that the Communists cannot forget.

I'd say that's it, it's a very high mountain to climb

Baigongguan, a prison for imprisoned revolutionaries in the novel "Red Rock," is located on Gele Mountain in Chongqing's Shapingba District. It was originally the suburban villa of Sichuan warlord Bai Ju, who claimed to be a descendant of Bai Juyi and named it "Xiangshan Villa" after Bai Juyi's nickname, "Xiangshan Jushi." The renowned anti-Japanese general Yang Hucheng and the infamous "Little Radish Head" were executed here, and along with Zhazidong, it is often referred to as the "two living coffins."

I highly recommend everyone to go to Baigongguan. I think it is very educational. Anyway, I was shocked.

It's not a place worth visiting at all, I just visited it because it's close to Zhazaidong.

The place to visit is not big, it is recommended to ask for an explanation for a better experience.

It was originally the suburban villa of Sichuan warlord Baiju. From 1938, it was used as a secret prison by the Kuomintang secret service.

It is worth watching. Our happiness today is the result of the sacrifices of many revolutionary predecessors. It is particularly touching.

Take the small bus from Baigongguan to Ciqikou, which costs 10 yuan per person and you will be given a souvenir card.

You need to pay attention to the time when visiting here. It seems that you are not allowed to enter at 4:30 in the afternoon. I didn't go to the Dai Gong Temple, which is where General Yang Hucheng was killed.

Baigongguan was a prison that used to hold criminals. Friends who like history can come and take a look. Science students said they are not very interested and just want to leave quickly.

Both Baigongguan and Zhazidong are popular tourist attractions. Baigongguan is located on a mountain, so you have to climb up. It was hot that day, so we were exhausted. You can choose to walk to Zhazidong or take the scenic area bus (I personally recommend taking the bus, as the walk is about 2-3 kilometers).
