Nanbin Road has many affordable guesthouses. The one I stayed at last time was quite good, but I was so caught up in taking photos of the beautiful scenery that I forgot its name.

The lines for the cable car in Nan'an District are short, so you can stroll along Nanbin Road and quietly admire the nightscape, avoiding the crowds and having the entire scene to yourself. Then, take the cable car through Yuzhong District.

Nanbin Road is very suitable for viewing the river view. There are several small squares in it where you can play and take pictures. There are small parks with trails, bars and barbecue restaurants under the road. There are also many restaurants, cinemas and shopping malls on the inside of the road. It is a place where you can have fun during the day and at night.

It is the first choice for viewing the night view of the mountain city. You can see both the Jialing River and the Yangtze River, so there is no need to take a cruise.

Along Nanbin Road, a kilometer-long open-air promenade stretches along the river. Stroll along the waterfront and sit wherever you like, enjoying the casual design. Order an Americano or a pot of soothing goji berry hot tea. If you're feeling up, grab a few beers. The river breeze and the dazzling night sky are truly relaxing. Even those who've been heartbroken can take advantage of their slightly tipsy mood to post a message on their WeChat Moments: "Summer has passed, autumn has arrived, and the old love has faded. I wish you all the best for your wedding."

Compared with the old city, this place is more fashionable and modern. There is a trail along the river that leads directly to the afternoon. We also walked around and stopped in the nearby shopping malls. When we reached the bridge, the lights were on. It was another side of Chongqing, so I couldn’t help pressing the shutter and quietly enjoying it. Perhaps in Chongqing, my favorite things are hot pot and the night view. Looking at this scene at night, all the fatigue of the day disappears.

The holidays have passed, but every tourist attraction is still bustling with people. The mountain city that was pictured forty years ago is no longer to be found. As people's quality of life improves, the future of the mountain city will be even better!

The first time we met was on the afternoon of July 3rd on the "Mountain City Skybus" Yangtze River Cableway. It was an aerial version, but unfortunately I only took a picture of the left side, which is the side of the Dongshuimen Yangtze River Bridge.

I have to say a few words about this. You may be disappointed if you go here during the day. If you go there at night, there is a food street. After eating, you can look at the river view on the other side and the neon lights are bright. The real feeling is a hundred times better than the picture below.

Walking along Nanbin Road, there was a gentle breeze. It was a little after 4 o'clock in the afternoon, but the sun was still high in the sky, and it was a bit hot. Nanbin Road is worth a visit because you can take the bus to experience Chongqing's five-story elevated highway and enjoy the river scenery. There is also a golden building similar to the Twin Towers on Nanbin Road, which is also a landmark building and quite distinctive.

The Nanbin Road Riverview Trail is 18 kilometers long. Six of the Twelve Scenic Spots of Bayu are found here: "Huangge Evening Ferry, Begonia in the Misty Rain, Zishui Night Lanterns, Longmen Bright Moon, Xiajiang Port Opening, and King Yu's Remains." However, I don't have the energy to walk all of them, and the deliberately bumpy road surface is obviously not designed for cycling.

We took the Yangtze River Cableway to the south bank, where our tour bus accidentally dropped us off at Chang Jia Hui, a modern shopping mall with everything from food and entertainment to a wide selection of clothing brands. Since it was raining, we ate at one restaurant after another in the mall. There's also a river-viewing terrace on the top floor, which we loved!

You can also take photos of the night view on Nanbin Road. Friends who can’t find a good spot under a tree can come here.

Nanbin Road is very long, with each section boasting unique landscapes and meticulous urban design. If you have time, you can take a stroll along the river. I headed for Baobai Road, as traffic lights in Chongqing typically only give pedestrians a few seconds to cross, while vehicles have about a minute to pass. So, I had to be quick to capture the action.

The reason I chose Nanbin Road is because it offers a great view of the confluence of the two rivers, the Yuzhong Peninsula, the Qiansimen Bridge, the Dongshuimen Bridge, and the Chongqing Grand Theatre. It's practically a representative building that encompasses the night view.

The night view is so beautiful, with colorful lights and the cruise ship wrapped in colorful lights, it's a combination of movement and stillness. I sincerely recommend everyone to come to Chongqing to see it. The video was shot every 10 seconds and then synthesized in post-production. Unfortunately, the night view is relatively short. This is because we were in a hurry to eat hot pot. After all, if you come to Chongqing and don't eat hot pot, you'd be embarrassed to say you've been to Chongqing.

Whenever I go to a city, I usually consult the locals for their opinions. Travel guides are mostly written by tourists, and they are too random and subjective.

For example, most people would recommend going to Nanshan Yikeshu to see the night view. However, after seeing the night view, how do you return late at night? It is extremely inconvenient to walk about 2km in the wilderness even in the evening.

So we chose Nanbin Road. The old man's directions were reliable.

Nanbin Road and Changjiahui are also the most beautiful places where the two rivers meet. It is also home to the only Madame Tussauds wax museum in western China.

When the cableway is less crowded, you can enjoy the Yangtze River night view from the cableway, and the same view on the way back.

There are many bus stops along Nanbin Road. The most essential part is concentrated in Haitang Yanyu Square, where three musical fountains are located. You can reach the area by taking bus No. 338, 373 or 375.

I took the wrong road and ended up on Nanbin Road. The roads in downtown Chongqing are indeed difficult to navigate. I accidentally took the wrong road using the map navigation. The two parallel roads have a big difference in altitude.

Chongqing's night view is very beautiful, and the viewing point on Nanbin Road is very good. Fortunately, the air quality was good that day, and I could clearly see the dazzling river view across the street.



Someone once said that Chongqing's night view is more beautiful than Shanghai and Hong Kong. I haven't been to Hong Kong yet, so I'll compare it with other places after I go.

Whether cycling or walking along Nanbin Road, it's a wonderful experience. Many Chongqing residents also use it as a great place for running. Standing on the riverside path, the Yangtze River is within reach. Hidden along the riverside path is a bar street, which remains sparsely populated and closed in the afternoon. Only after nightfall does the charm of the beautiful scenery and fine wines truly shine.

I absolutely love going to Nanbin Road. Whether it's to see the musical fountain, stroll along the river, or rent a bike with a few friends, it's all very relaxing. (The musical fountain is definitely worth seeing. It runs every Friday and Saturday from 8:00 to 8:30 PM, for a good half-hour, even if it rains.)

I went to Nanbin Road twice. Once in the evening, I could watch the sun set. It had just rained heavily, and the Yangtze River was turbulent and muddy, but I was still amazed. The second time was for the musical fountain on a weekend night. Unfortunately, I miscalculated the time and didn't see it. But the moonlit Nanbin Road, the drizzle, the flowing river, the bright lights on the other side, and the laughing tourists on this side were all very soothing. There are many interesting statues on the sidewalk, and there are women who ask if you want to rent a bicycle. I didn't, which I regret now. It would have been nice to tour Nanbin by bike.

I started my trip from school, first taking bus No. 210 to Caiyuanba Railway Station, then visiting the Crown Escalator. Nanbin Road boasts six major scenic spots: Huangge Evening Ferry, Begonia in the Mist, Longmen Moonlight, Zishui Night Lights, Xiajiang Port, and Yuwang Relics. It's one of China's largest riverside parks. Each attraction has its own unique charm. A visit takes about two hours, concluding with a breathtaking night view of Yuzhong District from across Chaotianmen. The scenery is breathtaking, and I think this is the most beautiful part of Chongqing. On your return trip, take the Yangtze River Cableway back to Yuzhong District. There's a subway entrance right at the exit. I highly recommend it.

We stayed here for a long time, firstly because the scenery was so beautiful, the weather was so good, and the sunset made us feel lazy, and secondly because we were tired from walking on the road to Chaotianmen in the morning and wanted to wait until sunset to enjoy the night view on the cable car.

I heard from a friend that the most beautiful night view of Chongqing is between 8 and 9 o'clock, so after eating the chicken offal, we took a taxi from Ciqikou to Nanbin Road. It was quite pleasant to drink tea, chat and enjoy the breeze by the river. The musical fountain on Nanbin Road will be open from Friday to Sunday during the festival, so it was just in time for the festival.

The mountain city's finale is undoubtedly a beautiful night scene. From Nanbin Road, you can see the layers of lights at the Jiefang Monument across the river. This "Little Hong Kong" is less flashy and more tranquil. Neon lights, two rivers, and a plethora of delicious food all blend into one beautiful city. It's a place everyone will love, right?
