If you want to experience a unique night scene in Chongqing, Nanbin Road is a must-see. This route has hosted numerous marathons. Running around Nanbin Road during the day is incredibly relaxing and pleasurable. At night, Nanbin Road offers a completely different experience, with a cool breeze and a romantic nightscape. Oh, and if you're a leisure enthusiast, this place will definitely satisfy you, too. If you're looking to stay overnight, be sure to find a spot with the best night views. Nanbin Road has many affordable guesthouses. The one I stayed at last time was quite good, but I was so caught up in taking photos of the beautiful scenery that I forgot its name.

Nanbin Road is located in the center of Chongqing. It faces the Yangtze River to the north and is backed by Nanshan Mountain. It offers the most beautiful night view of Yuzhong District. The long-standing Bayu culture, religious culture, port opening culture, Dayu culture, dock culture, and anti-Japanese war relics culture are scattered like pearls along the road, earning Nanbin Road the reputation of "Chongqing Bund".

By Still wanting more |

Nanbin Road, located on the south bank of the Yangtze River, is Chongqing's urban sightseeing and leisure boulevard, often referred to as the Bund. Nanbin Road stretches 25 kilometers, with the main section from the Sheraton Hotel to the Changjiahui Shopping Park being a prime location, suitable for both walking and public transportation.

By That starry sky and that sea |

Nanbin Road, Chongqing's Nan'an District, is home to one of the city's most beautiful riverside thoroughfares—Nanbin Road. While it might not be as bustling as Jiefangbei, it's a great spot for nighttime views. We stumbled upon Nanbin Road after relocating from Yuzhong District to Nan'an District. Unexpected encounters on a journey are always truly remarkable. The lines for the cable car in Nan'an District are short, so you can stroll along Nanbin Road and quietly admire the nightscape, avoiding the crowds and having the entire scene to yourself. Then, take the cable car through Yuzhong District.

Nanbin Road is very suitable for viewing the river view. There are several small squares in it where you can play and take pictures. There are small parks with trails, bars and barbecue restaurants under the road. There are also many restaurants, cinemas and shopping malls on the inside of the road. It is a place where you can have fun during the day and at night.

By Find Aha |

It is the first choice for viewing the night view of the mountain city. You can see both the Jialing River and the Yangtze River, so there is no need to take a cruise.

By China-TravelNote users |

There is a park along the river, with a clock tower that should be a landmark building

It's nice to go shopping at night, see the night view, and take a walk.

Nanbin Road is located on the south bank of the river, just south of Jiefangbei. It is one of the venues for the annual international marathon. It is a place often overlooked by tourists, but it is home to the most beautiful river views and night views in Chongqing.

Nanbin Road is different from Jiefangbei and Guanyin Bridge. The pace here is very slow.

There are people fishing on the river bank, people working in a riverside cafe, people running 24 hours a day, and people wearing wedding dresses and holding hands with their loved ones to welcome the most important moment of their lives.

By Xiao Yingying's Leisure Travel |

Along Nanbin Road, a kilometer-long open-air promenade stretches along the river. Stroll along the waterfront and sit wherever you like, enjoying the casual design. Order an Americano or a pot of soothing goji berry hot tea. If you're feeling up, grab a few beers. The river breeze and the dazzling night sky are truly relaxing. Even those who've been heartbroken can take advantage of their slightly tipsy mood to post a message on their WeChat Moments: "Summer has passed, autumn has arrived, and the old love has faded. I wish you all the best for your wedding."

By jxyben |

Compared with the old city, this place is more fashionable and modern. There is a trail along the river that leads directly to the afternoon. We also walked around and stopped in the nearby shopping malls. When we reached the bridge, the lights were on. It was another side of Chongqing, so I couldn’t help pressing the shutter and quietly enjoying it. Perhaps in Chongqing, my favorite things are hot pot and the night view. Looking at this scene at night, all the fatigue of the day disappears.

The holidays have passed, but every tourist attraction is still bustling with people. The mountain city that was pictured forty years ago is no longer to be found. As people's quality of life improves, the future of the mountain city will be even better!

Nanbin Road has a different feel in the middle of the night. Without the musical fountain, and without the bright lights on the other side, it's remarkably quiet. But there are still people strolling in the square, and the barbecue stalls on the corner are bustling with activity.

By YIYI Notes |

Nanbin Road is a very flat road in Chongqing. There are still no shared bicycles here, but for Chongqing people who rarely have the opportunity to ride a bicycle, they will also come here to rent a bicycle.

When the weather is good, you can take a walk on Nanbin Road and see the most beautiful sunset by the river, with the sunset, the Yangtze River Bridge and ships. Chongqing's dock culture originated from here.

Nanbin Road is on one side of Nanshan Mountain. Many cars pass by here to see the night view. The night view of Nanbin Road is quite beautiful.

Nanbin Road is an excellent area for viewing the night view of Yuzhong Peninsula. It is also a street for leisure, sightseeing, food and entertainment in Chongqing. It stretches along the river, is flat and open, with a total length of 25 kilometers. The scenery is elegant and it is known as the Bund of Chongqing. Unfortunately, I didn’t have time to come here at night.

The first time we met was on the afternoon of July 3rd on the "Mountain City Skybus" Yangtze River Cableway. It was an aerial version, but unfortunately I only took a picture of the left side, which is the side of the Dongshuimen Yangtze River Bridge.

By Zuo Zuo |

Across from Nanbin Road is Jiefangbei, where you can see towering skyscrapers like the WFC and other skyscrapers. The night view is quite beautiful, and there's even a fountain! Overall, it's one of the best places in Chongqing for up-close night views!

I have to say a few words about this. You may be disappointed if you go here during the day. If you go there at night, there is a food street. After eating, you can look at the river view on the other side and the neon lights are bright. The real feeling is a hundred times better than the picture below.

By Auspicious wind from the south |

A good place to take pictures of the river view. You can take the Yangtze River Cableway (Longmen Station) back to Yuzhong District at night.

By Yan Ahua |

Walking along Nanbin Road, there was a gentle breeze. It was a little after 4 o'clock in the afternoon, but the sun was still high in the sky, and it was a bit hot. I felt the river breeze quietly, watched the light rail pass by the bridge, and watched the cable car go up and down the river. It was very pleasant.

By Half-Old Summer |

You can enjoy the river view from Nanbin Road. It is also nice to walk along the road and feel the river breeze!

If you walk hand in hand with your boyfriend, it will be the most beautiful journey!

By Universal Youth |

Many young artists hold guitars and sing by the river, enjoying the scenery and the breeze, instantly sweeping away the fatigue of the day.

Nanbin Road is worth a visit because you can take the bus to experience Chongqing's five-story elevated highway and enjoy the river scenery. There is also a golden building similar to the Twin Towers on Nanbin Road, which is also a landmark building and quite distinctive.

By Baileys |

The Nanbin Road Riverview Trail is 18 kilometers long. Six of the Twelve Scenic Spots of Bayu are found here: "Huangge Evening Ferry, Begonia in the Misty Rain, Zishui Night Lanterns, Longmen Bright Moon, Xiajiang Port Opening, and King Yu's Remains." However, I don't have the energy to walk all of them, and the deliberately bumpy road surface is obviously not designed for cycling.

By Lanlan |

We took the Yangtze River Cableway to the south bank, where our tour bus accidentally dropped us off at Chang Jia Hui, a modern shopping mall with everything from food and entertainment to a wide selection of clothing brands. Since it was raining, we ate at one restaurant after another in the mall. There's also a river-viewing terrace on the top floor, which we loved!

By Probably or possibly |

You can also take photos of the night view on Nanbin Road. Friends who can’t find a good spot under a tree can come here.

Nanbin Road is very long, with each section boasting unique landscapes and meticulous urban design. If you have time, you can take a stroll along the river. I headed for Baobai Road, as traffic lights in Chongqing typically only give pedestrians a few seconds to cross, while vehicles have about a minute to pass. So, I had to be quick to capture the action.

By Ninety thousand that move |

The reason I chose Nanbin Road is because it offers a great view of the confluence of the two rivers, the Yuzhong Peninsula, the Qiansimen Bridge, the Dongshuimen Bridge, and the Chongqing Grand Theatre. It's practically a representative building that encompasses the night view.

The night view is so beautiful, with colorful lights and the cruise ship wrapped in colorful lights, it's a combination of movement and stillness. I sincerely recommend everyone to come to Chongqing to see it. The video was shot every 10 seconds and then synthesized in post-production. Unfortunately, the night view is relatively short. This is because we were in a hurry to eat hot pot. After all, if you come to Chongqing and don't eat hot pot, you'd be embarrassed to say you've been to Chongqing.

By Xia Xia |

Whenever I go to a city, I usually consult the locals for their opinions. Travel guides are mostly written by tourists, and they are too random and subjective.

For example, most people would recommend going to Nanshan Yikeshu to see the night view. However, after seeing the night view, how do you return late at night? It is extremely inconvenient to walk about 2km in the wilderness even in the evening.

So we chose Nanbin Road. The old man's directions were reliable.

It is a relatively lively place in Chongqing. It is also a rare flat road. There are parks, business districts, etc. nearby.

By Bai Xubo |

There is a hot pot street next to it, which is a good place to eat. After dinner, you can walk along the river and see the night view of Yuzhong Peninsula opposite from a relatively low angle.

By vast and lonely |

The weather was not very good when I went there, it was foggy, but I still felt that I hadn't seen such a night view for a long time. You can rent a bicycle and ride it. There are many bicycles next to the Sheraton, but except for the park, there are too many vehicles on the road. It takes courage to go on the road, so I rode in the park for an hour. There are many places to eat here, and there are bars by the river. It feels great to sit here and watch the night view while eating.

Nanbin Road stretches along the Yangtze River to its confluence with the Jialing River. Every evening around 8:00 PM, a musical fountain plays. I remember encountering it numerous times.

In the spring of 2014, I rode a bike along Nanbin Road and enjoyed the scenery along the way and on the other side of the river.

On the night of the Summer Beer Festival in 2013, a few of us, who were still in college, drank and chatted at the pier by the river, enjoying the river breeze and being intoxicated by the endless summer night.

The 2012 Chongqing Marathon started on Nanbin Road. At that time, we raised our arms and cheered in front of the video camera, as bright and dazzling as the rising sun.

Chongqing's nightscape rivals the beauty and splendor of any other city in the world. There are two main locations for admiring this city that never sleeps: the Yikeshu Observation Deck on Nanshan Mountain and Nanbin Road. Known as the Bund of Chongqing, Nanbin Road is a short walk down a narrow path from the Yangtze River Cableway. Winding along the south bank of the Yangtze River, it becomes even more captivating at night when the skyscrapers on the opposite bank light up.

I studied in Chongqing for three years. My school was located on the Nanshan Mountain behind Nanbin Road. I am very familiar with Nanbin Road.

Nanbin Road is located in Nan'an District, Chongqing, with its back against the quiet Nanshan Mountain and facing the brilliant Yuzhong District.

Scenery:

Nanbin Park on Nanbin Road is a prime spot for viewing Chongqing's nightscape, even more captivating than the "One Tree" section of Nanshan. Its riverfront location affords breathtaking views of the Yuzhong District across the river, reflected in the water. From Sunshine 100 on Nanbin Road, visitors can admire the confluence of the Yangtze and Jialing Rivers, as well as Chaotianmen Wharf.

gourmet food:

Nanbin Road is full of Chongqing delicacies. If you don’t believe me, just search for Nanbin Road on Meituan.....

Tours and Features:

Enjoy the night view, eat hot pot, visit the Yangtze River Cableway, the French Navy Barracks, Danzishi Old Street, and the Foreigner Street.

transportation:

You can take a bus or taxi to get there, or take Metro Line 6 and get off at Xinjie Station. The next road is Nanbin Road.

From Nanbin Road, you can walk to Yuzhong District via Dongshuimen Bridge.

On Nanbin Road, you can choose to walk to Nanbin Park or rent a bicycle to ride Nanbin Road.

ps: Because it is near the river, there are a lot of mosquitoes in the summer...

Besides Yikeshu (One Tree) in Nanshan, the area along Nanbin Road along the river is also quite nice for viewing Chongqing's night view. You don't have to go quite as far as Yikeshu; you can take the Yangtze River Cableway from the main city to Nanbin Road at night. When the cableway is less crowded, you can enjoy the Yangtze River night view from the cableway, and the same view on the way back.

Nanbin Road, a riverside road along the south bank of the Yangtze River, is a great place to watch the confluence of the Yangtze River and Jialing River.

By Fish running on land |

First, let’s take a look at its history:

In 1891, the first customs inspection office in western China was established at the foot of Lion Rock on the south bank.

After Chongqing opened as a port in 1895, it became densely populated with Western-style buildings such as Anderson & Co., the Sun Family Courtyard, and French-style mansions. Embassies and legations were established by countries like the United States, Britain, Belgium, and France. High-ranking officials and merchants settled here, and banks, embassies, and churches gathered here, forming a famous "rich neighborhood."

In 2002, the first phase of Nanbin Road was completed and became a hot topic.

If you enjoy history and culture, this area is steeped in history, showcasing the rich heritage of Bayu culture, religious traditions, the founding of the port, Dayu culture, dock culture, and the remains of the Anti-Japanese War. We recommend visiting three old streets: Mishi Street, Ciyun Temple Old Street, and Danzishi Old Street, all of which are steeped in history.

If you're looking for style while also demanding sophistication, this area has it all. Binjiang Boulevard, integrating sightseeing, leisure, entertainment, and residential amenities, serves as a cultural landmark showcasing the new Chongqing. Here, you'll find old buildings in the Bayu style, alongside innovative Soho-style office buildings, blending the memories of the old city with modern civilization. Its streets and alleys showcase the rich heritage of the region while also showcasing the latest fashion and creativity. It's been dubbed "Chongqing's Bund" and "the Victoria Harbour of the Mainland."

It is currently undergoing urban construction planning and will be upgraded to a high-end cultural and artistic destination in the future.

In addition, this is also an excellent location for viewing the night view.

This is the most beautiful road in Chongqing, known as the world's most beautiful kilometer. Nanbin Park is located on the riverside, along with many bars. Nanbin Road is quite beautiful. In fact, you only need to go to one food street in Chongqing. Jiefangbei Food Street is fine, and this one is also fine. They are all similar.

Nanbin Road, a scenic road along the Yangtze River, lies at the junction of Nan'an District and Yuzhong District, facing Chaotianmen Wharf across the river. Chongqing's old town is built along the river and nestled against the hillside. At night, the lights from the stacked buildings illuminate the night sky, and the river reflects them in a spectacular display of red and green. I think this is a perfect spot for night photography.

It's a scenic avenue for sightseeing and leisure in Chongqing, and a great spot to enjoy the city's nightscape. It offers the most stunning night views of Yuzhong District. I took the wrong road and ended up on Nanbin Road. The roads in downtown Chongqing are indeed difficult to navigate. I accidentally took the wrong road using the map navigation. The two parallel roads have a big difference in altitude.

Chongqing's night view is very beautiful, and the viewing point on Nanbin Road is very good. Fortunately, the air quality was good that day, and I could clearly see the dazzling river view across the street.

Someone once said that Chongqing's night view is more beautiful than Shanghai and Hong Kong. I haven't been to Hong Kong yet, so I'll compare it with other places after I go.

By Love on a Rainy Night |

Whether cycling or walking along Nanbin Road, it's a wonderful experience. Many Chongqing residents also use it as a great place for running. Standing on the riverside path, the Yangtze River is within reach. Hidden along the riverside path is a bar street, which remains sparsely populated and closed in the afternoon. Only after nightfall does the charm of the beautiful scenery and fine wines truly shine.

By Shanhuashashi |

I absolutely love going to Nanbin Road. Whether it's to see the musical fountain, stroll along the river, or rent a bike with a few friends, it's all very relaxing. (The musical fountain is definitely worth seeing. It runs every Friday and Saturday from 8:00 to 8:30 PM, for a good half-hour, even if it rains.)

By Eat a coconut |

I went to Nanbin Road twice. Once in the evening, I could watch the sun set. It had just rained heavily, and the Yangtze River was turbulent and muddy, but I was still amazed. The second time was for the musical fountain on a weekend night. Unfortunately, I miscalculated the time and didn't see it. But the moonlit Nanbin Road, the drizzle, the flowing river, the bright lights on the other side, and the laughing tourists on this side were all very soothing. There are many interesting statues on the sidewalk, and there are women who ask if you want to rent a bicycle. I didn't, which I regret now. It would have been nice to tour Nanbin by bike.

Nanbin Road in Chongqing is one of the most beautiful roads in the city, offering a direct view of the bustling nightscape of Chongqing's Yuzhong District. I started my trip from school, first taking bus No. 210 to Caiyuanba Railway Station, then visiting the Crown Escalator. From there, I reached Lianglukou, crossed the Caiyuanba Yangtze River Bridge, and walked towards Nanbin Road. Nanbin Road boasts many of Chongqing's riverside attractions, and is best visited at night.

Nanbin Road boasts six major scenic spots: Huangge Evening Ferry, Begonia in the Mist, Longmen Moonlight, Zishui Night Lights, Xiajiang Port, and Yuwang Relics. It's one of China's largest riverside parks. Each attraction has its own unique charm. A visit takes about two hours, concluding with a breathtaking night view of Yuzhong District from across Chaotianmen. The scenery is breathtaking, and I think this is the most beautiful part of Chongqing. On your return trip, take the Yangtze River Cableway back to Yuzhong District. There's a subway entrance right at the exit. I highly recommend it.

By Zhuge'er |

The entrance of Sunshine 100 Community is the best choice for taking photos of the night view of Nanbin Road.

By Waiwai cat |

We stayed here for a long time, firstly because the scenery was so beautiful, the weather was so good, and the sunset made us feel lazy, and secondly because we were tired from walking on the road to Chaotianmen in the morning and wanted to wait until sunset to enjoy the night view on the cable car.

By Eunuch Hai |

I heard from a friend that the most beautiful night view of Chongqing is between 8 and 9 o'clock, so after eating the chicken offal, we took a taxi from Ciqikou to Nanbin Road. It was quite pleasant to drink tea, chat and enjoy the breeze by the river. The musical fountain on Nanbin Road will be open from Friday to Sunday during the festival, so it was just in time for the festival.

The mountain city's finale is undoubtedly a beautiful night scene. From Nanbin Road, you can see the layers of lights at the Jiefang Monument across the river. This "Little Hong Kong" is less flashy and more tranquil. Neon lights, two rivers, and a plethora of delicious food all blend into one beautiful city. It's a place everyone will love, right?
