Its predecessor was Chongqing Printing Factory No. 2, and it can be said that it was once a color printing giant in the southwest printing industry.
The renovated old factory retains the original style of the old building and adds modern design style; the fusion of old and new is unique and charming.
The movie "Passing By Your World" was filmed here.

Eling No. 2 Factory is actually quite large, with some internet-famous shops at the main entrance, selling Sichuan peppercorn-flavored ice cream (it really has Sichuan peppercorns on it, and the key is that the flavor is actually Sichuan peppercorns!), internet-famous soda, etc. Surrounding it are old buildings, blended with modern film and television brands, where the old meets the new.
The most famous feature of Eling No. 2 Film Studio is probably its rooftop. Ever since the film "Passing By Your World" was filmed there, it's become incredibly popular, attracting the attention of young intellectuals from around the country. However, the rooftop is now completely different from what it once was; it's become much more commercialized, and you even have to pay for tickets.
Once inside, there's an elevator and stairs. There were a lot of people waiting for the elevator, and there's only one. Most people think there are only five or six floors, so taking the stairs is fine. But once you get to the top, you'll realize it's better to just go down and take the elevator; the stairs don't go to the top floor.
From the second floor onwards, each floor has a small art company or exhibition area. Some require a ticket, 6 yuan per person, which is just for taking photos or something, which is not very interesting.
I went up to the top floor from the elevator. As soon as I got out of the elevator, there was someone guarding the ticket office, 19 per person. If you don't want to buy a ticket, please turn around and take the elevator downstairs.
I had imagined the rooftop to be spacious and grand, but now it's been remodeled to be too commercialized and scattered, which is a bit disappointing. I can't capture that movie-like feeling of a chicken doing a somersault in the sunset; every piece is just for Instagram photos. The view is still great, though. It's high up and right next to the river, so I just went there to enjoy the river view.
In short, the river view here is very good, with a wide field of vision. It is also backlit in the afternoon, so it won’t be dazzling.
After coming out, continue walking. There are some small literary scenes, which are nice to take photos and check in.
There are many small paths between the buildings, so even if you wander aimlessly, you can still visit many small shops. Students who want to take pictures, raise your cameras~
There is a store called Chaos Planet. It is said that there is a room inside that is full of white balloons and other things, which is perfect for taking photos. However, when we went there during the Spring Festival, the store was not open, so we could only check in at the door.
If you have plenty of time, I recommend exploring the ground level first after arriving at Eling No. 2 Factory, then heading up to the rooftop around 4 or 5 p.m. The night view from the rooftop is also fantastic. But be sure not to go up after 6 or 7 p.m., as the crowds will make you reluctant to go in.
There is only one important thing to do when you come to the Second Factory, and that is to take pictures.
The industrial-style covered bridge, the mottled old wall, and the light and shadow under the shade of the trees are all good backgrounds. If you are not careful, you can take a photo full of style.
Compared with Chengdu’s East Suburb Memory, Eling No. 2 Factory has a stronger industrial style.
These old factory buildings retain their original appearance as stand-alone buildings while incorporating modern design styles. This blend of old and new gives the area a unique charm. I thoroughly enjoyed strolling and taking photos here. Whether it's a designer's grocery store, an artist's teahouse, or a Chongqing specialty snack stall, each has its own unique charm, attracting many tourists.
This is a great place to bring your girlfriend, find a romantic coffee shop anywhere, order a warm drink, or go shopping in literary shops together and enjoy a leisurely leisure time.
Arriving at Eling Station, I was worried about finding my way to Factory No. 2. However, surprisingly, there were numerous signs from the subway entrance, guiding us along the way. We passed Eling Park, where we planned to visit that evening, and arrived at Factory No. 2 smoothly! Eling Factory No. 2, once the site of a printing factory, has been transformed into a creative cultural district, boasting diverse landmarks, themed shops, and a vibrant artistic atmosphere. After the release of the film "Passing by My World," Factory No. 2, a filming location, became a popular photo spot in Chongqing. Chongqing's diverse landscapes make vantage points a common sight. The area is filled with unique graffiti walls and street scenes: a themed shop called "Studio World" displays vintage typewriters and old photos. There's even an environmentally friendly building, art exhibitions, and craft displays.
The filming location for the movie "Passing by My World" has gradually become a popular online check-in spot. These old factory buildings retain the original style of the stand-alone buildings while incorporating modern design styles. This blend of old and new gives this place a unique charm.
Time flies. The former Printing Factory No. 2 has long been closed down. A few years ago, based on the factory building with its own nostalgic style, Printing Factory No. 2 was renovated. As a result, this old factory that was almost abandoned came back to life in the most literary way, attracting more and more young people to come here.
The Second Film Studio is now a vibrant art space, boasting a variety of unique shops, cafes, bars, and restaurants. It also regularly hosts exhibitions and events. We chose a cafe called "Studio World," where you can pet cats.
We ordered cakes and coffee and took photos and chatted in the store. There was a drizzle outside the window. It felt like a weekend gathering with friends, and I forgot that I was out traveling.
In China, nearly every major city has its own cultural and creative industrial arts district. Beijing has the 798 Art District, Shanghai has the M50 Creative Park, Guangzhou has the Red Brick Factory, and Chongqing has the Eling No. 2 Factory Cultural and Creative Park. These areas are truly artistic and unique. For those who love art and photography, this is the perfect place. These old factory buildings are now home to restaurants, cafes, and some unique shops. I bought a beautiful Christmas hydrangea brooch as a souvenir. At the end, there's an observation deck where you can enjoy the scenery.
Inside the Second Factory, there's a small rooftop where you can take night photos. It features scenic spots from around the world. The entrance fee is 19 yuan per person, and you can still go back out, so you can go there in the evening to take photos. After exploring the Second Factory, go back up again after dark to take photos. The Second Factory has many trendy shops and is quite artistic. There are also many delicious restaurants. I tried the King Oil Tea, but it was a bit unpalatable.
The No. 2 Factory Cultural and Creative Park is located just a 10-minute downhill walk from Eling Park. Originally the Chongqing Printing Factory No. 2, it was abandoned, leaving behind a few old factory buildings. After renovation, it now exudes a vibrant industrial and artistic atmosphere. The film "Passing by Your World" catapulted the area to fame. It feels like Chongqing's popularity is inextricably linked to movies and TikTok.
Walking around Factory No. 2, one often sees the word "TESTBED," which stands for testbed. This term comes from William Alsop, the British avant-garde designer and artist who served as the chief architect of the Factory No. 2 Creative Park. While preserving the old factory buildings, trendy elements have been added throughout. This coexistence of old and new is a unique experience that only young people can understand. Factory No. 2 at Eling is also a perfect spot for gazing out over the Chongqing cityscape. The rooftop scenes in "Passing By Your World" were filmed at Factory No. 2 at Eling, and of course, there's also the graffiti depicting a little girl holding an umbrella at the corner.
Artistic Internet Celebrity | Eling Second Factory in Chongqing's "798" Art District
Eling No. 2 Factory is probably a favorite destination for young people. Its retro, industrial atmosphere, fueled by TV dramas, has made this old factory complex a popular online check-in spot. If it weren't for the crowds, walking along the streets of No. 2 Factory, you'd literally be walking through your world. I wonder when this unfinished building's atmosphere became a new artistic trend? It's no surprise, considering I frequented Beijing's 798 Factory District during my school days, and this trend of industrial art gradually spread across the country. I come here to catch the action, believing that existence is justified.
The Second Factory was originally a banknote printing factory during the wartime capital period, and after the founding of the People's Republic of China, it became the Chongqing Printing Factory No. 2. The abandoned building has not been repaired, but has been renovated by artists and designers while retaining its original style. The signs on the building give it the feeling of a Hollywood film set.
The Love Rooftop in the Second Factory, where the movie "Passing by Your World" was filmed, is a must-see scenic spot. The movie's publicity has increased its popularity, but it has also been somewhat criticized. The city view is naturally nothing to say, but the lack of management and the increased entrance fee make the experience extremely poor. If I had to choose again, I probably wouldn't come here. There is a rest area on the rooftop with some romantic settings for taking photos, and you can also order a drink and afternoon tea.
The overwhelming artistic atmosphere is irresistible. The old factory buildings, now filled with artistic flair thanks to the arrival of businesses, seem to have gained popularity thanks to the film "Passing By Your World"—after all, it was a filming location. Factory No. 2 boasts three alleyways to explore, and within each building, there are countless shops worth exploring. If you have the time, you could spend a long time here. Factory No. 2 is a place of art, and everything about it speaks for itself.
After a short stroll through Eling Park, you can head to Eling No. 2 Factory, a must-see for arty young people. The two locations are about 500 meters apart, so you can walk there.
Eling Second Factory is a popular landmark in Chongqing and the filming location of the movie "Passing by Your World".
The banknote printing factory moved away and became the second factory. After the second factory moved away, this place was developed into a cultural and creative park, attracting many literary young men and women to check in.
Walking into the old factory building of Eling No. 2 Factory, a retro atmosphere is overwhelming. Whether it is the somewhat shabby buildings, the old cobblestone roads, or the hidden cafes, it is easy to bring people's thoughts back to the past.
There are many tourists here wearing colorful clothes to check in. Although the weather is not good and a little cold, there are still many tourists on the street. Standing by the wall, any pose you make will give you the feeling of being in a blockbuster movie.
Like most scenic spots, this place also has artistic shops. You may be able to buy your favorite items by strolling inside, or even pass by the one you love. Because Christmas is coming soon, many shops have placed Christmas trees in front of the doors, and the festive atmosphere is very strong. There are also many cute young ladies taking photos with their boyfriends in front of the Christmas tree, which is a harmonious picture.
On the side of a staircase, old tires and old radios are used for decoration, which is very innovative. Young ladies lined up to take pictures one by one, making old things into new ones and making worthless items valuable.
Almost every city has its own cultural and creative park, and in Chongqing, this place is called Eling Second Factory.
Eling No. 2 Factory is considered an internet-famous spot in Chongqing. It became famous because the movie "Passing by Your World" was filmed on this rooftop.
Currently, the rooftop is open to the public for a fee, with an entrance fee of 19 yuan. Except for the rooftop where movies are filmed, the rest of the rooftops are free of charge.
It is not easy to get to the Second Factory. After getting out of the subway station, you still need to walk nearly 2 kilometers on the "mountain road" or take a bus to get there.
The name of the Second Factory is printed on the mottled and rusty iron gate in the center. Internet-famous stores transformed from old factory buildings are deeply rooted here, exuding a youthful and fashionable atmosphere.
The Second Factory can be said to be a holy place for photography. Many people come here to take photos, wedding photos, artistic photos, travel photos, live broadcasts, and Douyin dances. If you are not any of the above, or even don’t like taking photos, then this place may not be interesting. Food and drinks are quite expensive, so just "Just pass by your Erchang in Eling".
It is worth mentioning that the view from the top of Eling No. 2 Factory is quite impressive, as it is located at the throat of Yuzhong District, overlooking the Jialing River to the north and the Caiyuanba Bridge to the south, with a wide field of vision.
Before I went there, many people told me that this place is comparable to Beijing's 798 Art District or Guangzhou's Red Brick Factory. Only when you are really there, you will realize that the Second Factory here has a strong flavor of Chongqing's industrial style, and has the trendy mountain city flavor and foggy city style that are not found anywhere else.
After getting off the light rail at Eling, it took about 20 minutes to walk straight ahead. When I saw a few retro houses, and the house facing me had a string of letters and numbers followed by two Chinese characters for "贰厂" on it, I knew I had arrived at my destination, Eling Second Factory.
There are no tall buildings or dense crowds here, only thick trees and muddy roads. Eling is not as prosperous as imagined, but it has a more rustic flavor.
On the way to Eling No. 2 Factory, you will pass by a coffee shop. At first glance, it seems nothing special, but it is a unique coffee shop that claims to be able to "drink tea at home and have trains coming from the sky". Sometimes when you are chatting with friends, a Chongqing light rail will rumble overhead.
The old street is filled with popular photo spots and small shops with unique creative features. Wandering through it, you will discover many small surprises, feel the passion for literary and artistic creation bursting out everywhere, and always feel the mottled bustling atmosphere here. No matter how busy the city is, this place always guards the purity in its heart, and accompanies the years peacefully.
It is more suitable to bring your bestie, find a stylish coffee shop anywhere, order a cup of warm drink, and enjoy the slow leisure time.
This eye-catching little yellow car is also a popular place for taking photos. The contrasting blue and yellow colors are particularly eye-catching and cute in this literary and old factory. You can always see a bunch of cute girls or trendy girls gathered in groups of three or five, picking up their mobile phones or cameras to record their "visit".
In the movie "Passing By Your World", the rooftop scenes were filmed at Eling Second Film Studio, and this ideal rooftop has become a must-visit place for every artistic youth who wants to visit Eling Second Film Studio.
In the corners of the Second Factory, you can always see some cute wall paintings. When you pass by the graffiti walls, you can see many small shops selling souvenirs and delicacies, which are dazzling, exquisite and colorful.
The small Erchang in Eling has a love rooftop where countless stories have been staged, little girls with umbrellas hidden in the streets and alleys, all kinds of trendy Chongqing girls and literary young ladies coming and going, and a mottled flavor unique to Chongqing.
There are many coffee shops in the Second Factory, with different decoration styles. Some are literary, some are fresh, some are high-end, and some are girly...
But after walking around, I found that there seemed to be nothing else here except various coffee shops.
We originally wanted to find some art exhibitions, photography exhibitions, painting exhibitions, etc., like 798 and Red Brick Factory, but we couldn't find any. It seemed that the people coming and going were all tourists during the National Day holiday, and there were almost no locals coming here. No wonder our friends in Chongqing had never heard of it.
I walked for a while and found all sorts of small shops. I felt a bit bored.
Eling No. 2 Factory was renovated from an abandoned factory. Perhaps it became popular because some artistic young people, attracted by its reputation, wanted to create a set of retro blockbusters in the dilapidated factory building. We, at our level, don't quite get it.
Outside the factory are various literary and artistic shops, and at the door there are a bunch of girls of various styles queuing up to pose for photos, regardless of age.
The dilapidated stairs are inlaid with bling lights, and the old walls are painted with slogans. It is a creative idea.
The mottled walls and the dilapidated old factory have a different kind of fashion. Perhaps it is this kind of style that attracts everyone to come and check in.
In fact, many of these staged photos require consumption. We quickly go in, punch in, and then run out, which is a bit like being a thief. Just ignore the expression management.
This is all the stuff that the second factory has, and it’s probably all because of the girls who love to pose for photos. Such scenery can be found everywhere, and it can only be regarded as a small change during the journey.
I had nothing to do this afternoon, so I went for a stroll. It's a small, renovated old factory with some creative and unique shops. Not many people were there, probably because it wasn't the weekend. It's a far cry from Beijing's 798 shops. The outside is perfect for some fresh-style photos. My only regret is that I brought an older man with me, which spoiled the view. I'll probably bring a friend with me next time...
One important thing to do when visiting the Second Factory is taking photos. You'll often encounter local photographers bringing clients for wedding portraits. By referencing their time-honored angles, you'll be sure to capture a truly satisfying photo. The industrial-style covered bridge, the mottled old walls, and the light and shadows cast by the trees all create beautiful backdrops.
The graffiti wall at Eling Second Factory is also a popular photo spot in the park. It also appeared in the movie "Passing By Your World," where Zhang Tianai painted the graffiti. Although it's a bit out of the way and easy to miss if you're not careful, it still authentically recreates the scene from the movie!
Besides taking photos, there is another important thing to do when you come to the Second Factory, which is to go to the rooftop.
Find Building 31, the entrance to Factory 2, and take the elevator up to the fifth floor. The rooftop terrace is right outside. There's a 19 yuan per person entrance fee, which also counts as a voucher for a drink at the rooftop cafe. For the view, pay the price.
The view was surprisingly nice, and I couldn't help but feel secretly delighted. There were tables and chairs outside for relaxing and enjoying the view. In autumn and winter, order a cup of hot milk tea or coffee, hold the scalding cup in both hands, and admire the magical city before you, exuding a spicy aroma as it soars through the clouds. In summer, when the heat dissipates, head to the rooftop to enjoy the evening breeze, and what I'd most like to hear is Fish Leong's "Ningxia."
This place has become a popular dating and proposal destination in Chongqing. Bring your loved one here, hang a love lock, and watch the sea of lights at night, side by side. Take in the panoramic views of the two rivers in the foggy city and keep them in your heart.
This was originally the Chongqing Central Bank Banknote Printing Plant during the Republic of China. Later renamed the Chongqing Printing Plant No. 2, it was built in 1937 and closed in 2012 due to environmental concerns. Like many other old military-industrial enterprises in cities, a cultural and creative park was constructed in 2015 using the old factory buildings. It has become a popular destination for young people and an ideal spot for capturing retro photos.
Formerly the Chongqing Printing Factory No. 2, it gained fame after being filmed there for the movie "Passing By Your World," becoming a popular online check-in spot with a surge in visitors. The top floor served as the filming location. Ticket price is 19 yuan per person, with a 10 yuan discount available when you buy a drink.
Located at No. 1 Eling Main Street, within walking distance of Eling Station on Light Rail Line 1, the Second Factory once served as the mint of the Central Bank of the Republic of China. It then served as an industrial printing plant before gradually declining and fading from public attention. Now, after renovation, the old factory has become a new symbol of Chongqing.
The mottled walls and rusted windows bear the marks of time. The fusion of history and modernity, the collision of tradition and innovation – this is the charm of the Cultural and Creative Park.
A popular spot for the artsy and the hipster. The architecture here is full of atmosphere, and the old factory buildings are filled with coffee shops, book bars, and cultural and creative shops. I walked around and looked around, but it was quick to finish. I didn't get any particularly attractive points, so I wouldn't recommend going if you're short on time.
You can take a taxi directly to the entrance, but taking the subway requires a long uphill walk. It's just a photo-taking and dining community with some trendy elements. There's a very ordinary small store with a flashing neon sign called "Jieyou Grocery Store." That's about it.
This was a former printing factory, converted into a cultural and creative district. It's a similar neighborhood, and you get the feeling after visiting it so often. As we were walking around, the weather was getting increasingly chilly, so we ended up staying in this little shop for warmth. But the shop didn't have heating, so we just had to wear an extra pair of long johns.
A popular photo spot for internet celebrities. Transportation is not very convenient and the food is not good. Just stroll around and take pictures.
I originally wanted to go there at noon, but I didn't expect to go there at night to drink craft beer. The cultural and creative park transformed from the factory area also has a beautiful night view.
Suitable for taking photos, strolling around in the afternoon, and relaxing for one or two people
The Second Factory, originally the Central Bank's banknote printing plant during the Republic of China era, boasts a history of over 80 years. Now, by integrating intriguing technology with a visually striking cultural style, it has become a favorite of a generation of young people seeking novelty.
I went to this attraction on the last day and regretted not going earlier. This place is so literary and artistic. I love it. You can stay here for an entire afternoon, just daydream and have a drink ☕. Anyone who wants to empty their mind can come here!
Want to check out the Erchang area? Stay at my homestay, right there in the heart of the city, and we can help you plan your perfect trip.
Very good, very artistic, suitable for artistic young people, very suitable for taking pictures, if you like taking pictures, you can go. A must-visit place in Chongqing!
The original factory was converted into a cultural and creative park, with many places suitable for taking photos.
Recommendation index: 5 stars!!!
A great place to hang out and take photos, full of literary style, I really like it!!!
You can see the panoramic view of Chongqing from here, which is a worthy check-in destination. However, many people say that the second graffiti is not the one in the "Passing by the World" 👁👁
The fusion of old and new gives this place its unique charm. Open all day and free of charge, it is a great place for young artists to eat and show off their skills. It was also one of the filming locations for the movie "Passing by Your World".
Eling No. 2 Factory is a holy place for literary and artistic photography. As it is the filming location of "Passing by Your World", it attracts many local and foreign tourists. Indeed, many young girls come here to pose.
I happened to catch the exhibition of Zhang Yibai's Chongqing Trilogy and went in to take a look.
It wasn't open when I arrived, so I wandered around the area. Some of the old factories were still being renovated, creating a tranquil atmosphere compared to the bustling city. There's also a small park nearby for some fun. It's accessible by bus from two intersections.
I'm sure many of you have checked in here before. There are still many good spots for taking photos.
The artistic young woman loves this place very much. She can take pictures for a whole day.
In addition to outdoor photo opportunities, there are also many interesting shops
In fact, it is a gathering place for many internet-famous shops converted from abandoned factories.
The overall style is very industrial
There are trendy shops, restaurants, and handicraft shops inside, you can go shopping
It is also a great place to take photos, but we are not really interested in these cookie-cutter internet celebrity shops.
Eling No. 2 Factory used to be a printing factory, and was later transformed into its current appearance. There are various coffee shops and internet-famous souvenir shops inside. There is only one word to come here: take pictures!
The movie is hyped up, but there is actually no place to watch it
It's a very boring check-in spot. As an old lady, I don't think it's worth coming here. I climbed the mountain for an hour and took photos for five minutes.
A place where literary youth must check in, the second factory is definitely a place for every literary youth and pseudo-literary uncle
Everyone comes to this place where they can express their feelings about the petty bourgeoisie.
It seems that every city has such a special little fresh place.
It feels so good, the age is not greasy
It is the filming location of the movie "Passing by Your World". There are also many internet-famous shops. It is a place with a strong cultural atmosphere and is very suitable for taking fresh portraits.
Factory No. 2 is a place that became famous for the filming of "Passing by Your World".
I like the Second Factory because it bears the marks of time. The worn tiles and old exterior walls seem to take you back to that industrial age.
This is a great place for artistic young people to take photos with their girlfriends. If I had a girlfriend, I could probably take photos here for a whole day.
The predecessor of Factory 2 was Chongqing Printing Factory No. 2, once a color printing giant in the southwest printing industry. Today, these renovated old factory buildings retain the nostalgic atmosphere of the old factories while incorporating modern design styles.
The rooftop of Building 31, in particular, was the filming location for the radio station in the movie "Passing by Your World." You need a 19-yuan ticket, which is reusable on the same day. The layout, scenery, and night view of the rooftop are all mediocre. If you want to overlook Chongqing and see the night view, Eling Park is better. The main reason I bought a ticket to enter was because of "Passing by Your World."
There are all kinds of small shops, cafes, bars and restaurants with unique decorations and names. Although it is not the peak tourist season or the weekend, there are still many people here, and they are all young handsome men and beautiful women, as well as couples taking photos and wedding photos.
Recommended for young artists, don't miss it! You can stroll around, sit down for a cup of coffee when you're tired, and pose for some artistic photos.
This place has become a must-see for tourist groups, and it's constantly expanding, with many areas undergoing renovations. But what best reflects the innovative spirit of Chongqing people is the cultural and creative product exhibition that happens to be held there. Every piece is super cool.
It looks very similar to Beijing's 798, with a strong artistic atmosphere!
No entrance fee, suitable for internet celebrities to take photos, it is recommended to put on makeup and dress nicely.
One of the filming locations of "Passing by Your World", a gathering place for literary and artistic youth.
There are Internet celebrity stores and cultural and creative stores.
This is a mecca for artistic youth, and photography enthusiasts shouldn't miss it. However, the traffic outside is quite congested, so driving is not recommended. There are many people taking photos, so it's recommended to arrive early.
Because the film "Passing By Your World" was filmed here, it transformed from an abandoned building into a photo spot for young people. But perhaps because the industrial style has become more popular in the past two years, or perhaps it's because there are too many people visiting this popular check-in spot, I actually feel that the contrast between the bustling scene and the dilapidated building is even more desolate. People, like buildings, perhaps just need a turning point.
It's a very artistic place, with lots of beautiful women. You can take lots of artistic photos. Getting there: Starting from Sanceng Road, it's about a 2-kilometer walk, with some stairs. It's quite high.
There are many literary shops in the Second Factory where you can get stamps. They are very suitable for taking photos. Girls can spend half a day shopping there. Haha, remember to dress beautifully.
A creative space, it's a popular spot for photoshoots and wedding photography. Climb to the rooftop of Building 31, the same rooftop Chen Mo used in the film "Passing By Your World." Then, descend and check in on the graffiti wall featured in the movie.
This place is similar to Beijing 798 and Shenzhen OCT Creative Park. You can go to the top floor, the Xiao Rizi rooftop, to see the scenery and take pictures. The design is very tasteful.
I heard that it was a filming of "Passing By Your World", but I haven't watched this movie, haha.
There are many popular photo spots where you can take photos in every corner.
It has a very artistic atmosphere. Go and feel the feeling of passing through your whole world.
There are many good stores, especially a Chongqing trendy brand store there❤️
This is the filming location for "Passing By Your World." The Second Studio, a location that became famous due to the filming of "Passing By Your World," even though parking here is not very convenient at the moment, it still doesn't stop the endless stream of people coming here to take photos every day.
My brother and I both like the artistic style of the cultural and creative area. The style is similar to other cultural and creative areas.
Eling Factory No. 2 was formerly the Chongqing Printing Factory No. 2. Now, however, it's a cultural and creative park, more like a popular photo spot for influencers. This day was probably the busiest day in Chongqing in recent days. Factory No. 2's retro vibe was overwhelming, reminiscent of scenes from a Hong Kong film. It's also said to have been the filming location for the film "Passing By Your World." There are also many exquisite cafes, restaurants, and creative shops, all brimming with Instagram-esque style. I especially love the wall covered in old televisions. A slight renovation has imbued the old building with an artistic atmosphere. The view from behind Factory No. 2, of the elevated highway and residential buildings in the distance, is a very Chongqing experience.
For those who like to check in, I recommend three must-check-in spots
1] The gate of the second factory
2] Tickets for the No. 2 Factory Little Days rooftop: 19 (This is the rooftop where the film "Passing By Your World" was filmed, on Building 31)
3] Graffiti wall of the little girl holding an umbrella (the same graffiti wall that appeared in "Passing By Your World")
Located near Eling Park in Yuzhong District, the Second Factory, a converted old printing factory, has become an internet sensation thanks to its artistic, fresh style and has become a must-see destination for artistic young people visiting Chongqing. The facilities, shops, and decor all have a unique and stylish feel, making for some truly artistic photos. There are several unique restaurants in and around the Second Factory that are worth trying, but due to its scenic location, prices are significantly higher than outside. Due to its popularity, plans are reportedly underway to develop a hotel. From the vantage point of the Second Factory, you can overlook the Caiyuanba Yangtze River Bridge and part of downtown Chongqing. A must-see for those interested in art!
The predecessor of Eling No. 2 Factory was Printing Factory No. 2, which can be said to have been a color printing giant in the Southwest printing industry.
The second printing factory has long been closed down, and a new cultural style has been injected into it. The fusion of old and new makes this place unique and has also attracted a large number of photography enthusiasts.
Only when we got here did we realize that there is a world of its own in the mountains. We thought it was just an abandoned factory in the mountains, but it turned out to be an eye-opener. Friends who don’t want to leave can take the bus or take a taxi. The roads in Chongqing are really beyond your imagination. It is like the saying that when you reach the end of the road, you will find another village. My friends who were traveling with us have always been very curious about how the people of Chongqing laid foundations and built roads in the mountains. Every time we took a taxi, we would ask the driver. Unfortunately, the drivers of the cars we took were not local, and it is still a mystery.
There are many small shops inside, you can go in and take pictures, some shops require consumption before taking pictures, we just walked around the periphery, and were told that the scenery outside is better
The fusion of the old factory and the new artistic style at Eling No. 2 Printing Factory has given it a unique charm and artistic flair, captivating visitors with its captivating atmosphere. Today, Eling No. 2 has been transformed into a teahouse, cafe, and food stall, revitalizing its commercial value and attracting numerous investors and tourists, making it a popular online attraction in Chongqing. The extensive renovation of the old factory buildings, large and small, from the long-defunct Printing Factory No. 2 has preserved the original character of the standalone building while infusing it with new artistic and cultural offerings.
It takes quite a long time to walk from Eling Station to get here. We first went to Eling Park and walked around before coming here. It was an abandoned factory. After renovation, it became an industrial style. Many girls were taking pictures.
I suggest you wear something fashionable when you go here. Don't dress too fairy-like, it won't look right. Hahahaha~ Wear something cool and chill.
Walk towards the open square. At the end, there's a yellow railing, like an observation deck, offering a breathtaking view of Chongqing. It's even more beautiful at night. There are also various old alleys, where tourists often pose for photos. The crowds are filled with beautiful women and handsome men. Young people really love visiting the Cultural and Creative Park.
Chongqing was once an industrial city, and this is where the forgotten industrial imprint is found. The "No. 2 Factory", which was transformed from an abandoned factory, has become a gathering place for culture and art in the eyes of the petty bourgeoisie, and a gathering place for literary youths.
This rooftop is the location of CITY RADIO, which was broadcasted from your whole world. It is also the place where Chen Mo said in the live broadcast room, "I hope to have someone like you, like the refreshing wind in the mountains, like the warm light in the ancient city, from morning to night, from the mountains to the study, as long as it is you in the end, it will be fine."
The coffee shop in the park plays the theme song "Passing By Your World" on loop, and there is also a mural painted by the male and female protagonists in the movie.
The Second Factory was one of the filming locations for the movie "Passing By Your World," but the rooftop where Deng Chao lived doesn't open until 6 p.m. It's a great place for photos, and there's also a lot of delicious food here.
It is indeed a vibrant cultural and creative park. Eating, drinking, crafting, and taking photos are all good options.
The movie "Passing by Your World" was filmed here. It is a bit like Beijing's 798, a cultural and creative park converted from a printing factory. There are some small shops selling things, coffee shops, hot pot restaurants, restaurants and bars, as well as many studios. The overall decoration style is fresh and simple, suitable for taking pictures.
Eling No. 2 Factory is worth visiting, full of artistic atmosphere
There are tons of art and creative merchandise inside, perfect for bringing a girl to boost her cool. There are plenty of young ladies, and it's a popular spot for influencers and street photography. The Erchang Cultural and Creative Park is divided into several buildings, offering art and creative merchandise, internet-famous milk tea and coffee shops, a book bar, a movie bar, and original trendy brands. A thorough tour would take two to three hours.
Eling No. 2 Factory, also known as the filming location for the movie "Passing By Your World," is now filled with independent shops and restaurants with diverse styles. Their fresh, simple style creates a striking contrast to the surrounding concrete. The refreshing, artistic atmosphere permeates the area, attracting many young people to check in.
A graffiti wall is also a good place for a group of young people to line up and take photos.
Here, in addition to feeling the literary and artistic atmosphere, when you are tired of shopping, you can also go to some unique and creative coffee shops, order a cup of coffee, and enjoy a leisurely leisure time.
If you like taking photos, if you are a young artistic person, then when you come to Chongqing, Erchang is definitely a good choice.
Currently, the rooftop is closed due to the construction of a hotel, and the rooftop on the other side will charge a fee, so it is recommended to go to the viewing platform of Factory 2.
If it rains, just sit here for a while before leaving~ The artistic hormones of Factory 2 continue to radiate, attracting a large number of artistic young people to come here.
The abandoned iron gate and corridors of Factory No. 2 have become the objects of intensive renovation after the cultural and creative industry moved in. The TV wall under the stairs shows the former benefits of Factory No. 2. These obsolete electronic components have been pieced together here to create a unique tourist attraction.
Any place in Factory No. 2 is an excellent location for shooting. I have to say that I am becoming more and more envious of photographers in Chongqing, as they have so much material to collect.
The only regret I had when I came to No. 2 Factory was that I didn’t reach the highest point of the factory. High points are always fascinating. Even though the weather is changeable and the clouds and fog obscure the view, overlooking Chongqing from here will make people particularly excited.
It was drizzling when we arrived at Factory 2. It's about a 20-minute walk from Eling Light Rail Station, so I recommend taking a direct bus. As we approached Factory 2, we saw several vintage-style buildings. The house facing us had a string of letters and numbers on it, followed by the two Chinese characters for "二厂." There were also strings of colorful lights strung across the sky. They weren't on during the day, but as we left in the evening, they were twinkling, a truly beautiful sight. There were many restaurants and food stalls right outside the entrance, but we didn't try any of them. Instead, we headed inside. The hallways were filled with handmade stalls by young women selling their own handmade jewelry and trinkets. It felt like a Sichuan Fine Arts Institute graduation exhibition—a lively and beautiful sight. Upstairs, each floor was filled with small custom shops, including a cafe, bakery, and small-brand custom clothing. I visited a shop called the Elephant Museum. Admission was 8 yuan per person, allowing for photos and snacks. It had a beautiful pink, dreamy photography theme, and a large balcony with a panoramic view of Factory 2. To the right of the entrance to Factory 2, there are two paths. The upper path leads to the graffiti wall outside the shop where Xiaoji worked, as depicted in the film "Passing by Your World." The lower path leads to numerous shops selling food, souvenirs, and more. Then, you can reach Factory 2's observation deck, where you can admire the beautiful cityscape of Chongqing. What surprised me most was the unique design and attention to detail throughout Factory 2, even the trash cans and bus stop signs are beautifully integrated. Factory 2 is definitely worth a visit!
The photos are really good, and any one of them looks like a big brand.
This creative district is similar to Shanghai's Tianzifang and Xiamen's Shaweipo, but it offers B&Bs, exhibitions, studios, food, and drinks. You can spend an afternoon strolling around and then enjoy the night view. Chongqing's nightfall is incredibly late; it feels like it doesn't get dark until 8 p.m. Be warned: you have to hike up a mountain to get here, which is incredibly tiring. You can also take a shuttle bus or public transportation.
