The Chongqing Qiansimen Jialing River Bridge is located at Qiansimen on the Yuzhong Peninsula. It's easily visible from the Grand Theater stop on Metro Line 6. From the approach bridge on the west side of Jiangbei, visitors can overlook Hongyadong, a famous Chongqing attraction, and the Chongqing Grand Theater on the east side of Jiangbei. The bridge is just a few hundred meters from the Jiefangbei Central Business District. The bridge connects to the Dongshuimen Yangtze River Bridge via the Yuzhong Tunnel, forming a rapid dual-use rail and road link between Jiangbei's urban area, the Jiefangbei CBD, and the Danzishi area on the south bank. Visiting around 9 PM is a good time to enjoy the night view.
Because there were so many people, traffic was restricted, becoming a one-way street. It was the first time I knew there were one-way sidewalks. So, to get from Hongyadong to Qiansimen Bridge, you had to walk to the end of the opposite street and then turn back. It was around 7 p.m., and the restrictions were lifted around 9 p.m. I was also a little drunk.
In fact, the Qiansimen Bridge is not long. It spans the Jialing River and it takes 30 minutes to reach the other side by stopping and walking.
As we approached the bridgehead of Hongyadong, the atmosphere gradually became busier. The closer we got, the more people came to take photos.
Visiting Hongya Cave and Qiansimen Bridge at night depends on the time of day. Around 6 or 7 PM, you can walk directly from Hongya Cave to the Qiansimen Bridge for photos. Around 8 PM, security personnel will block you, forcing you to walk the entire length of the bridge to get good angles. So, be sure to time your visit wisely, or you'll end up walking a long way. Around 10 PM, security personnel won't block you, allowing you to take a shortcut.
I originally planned to just admire the view from the Jialing River from the Qiansimen Jialing River Bridge, but when I arrived at Hongyadong at night, I found it incredibly crowded. The only way to get a better vantage point was to walk across the Qiansimen Bridge. However, the bridge isn't too long, and I was able to see the entire Hongyadong on the way back, making it worth it. My personal suggestion is to walk through the Chaotianmen Tunnel after visiting Chaotianmen Port. This will take you directly to Hongyadong, which is a different experience than walking across the bridge (I've tried it).
Take the right-hand pedestrian path up Qiansimen Bridge. This is a perfect spot for capturing the Jialing River, the bridge, Hongyadong Cave on the Yuzhong Peninsula across the river, and various skyscrapers. It's Chongqing's signature city image. Compared to Nanshan Yikeshu, this spot offers more convenient access and offers a more diverse range of views. However, be sure to arrive early, as the bridge lights go out at 9:30 PM.
This is a very beautiful bridge, right next to Hongyadong. It's even more beautiful when it's lit up at night. Qiansimen is not only accessible by car, but also by light rail and pedestrians. It's also quite nice to take photos of Hongyadong from the other side of the bridge.
Across from Hongyadong is the Qiansimen Jialing River Bridge, which has a four-lane, two-way urban expressway on the upper deck and a double-track urban rail system on the lower deck. Many tourists walk to the center of the bridge to enjoy the night view of Hongyadong.
The night view from Qiansimen Bridge is one of the most beautiful in Chongqing, making it a must-see destination for any Chongqing traveler! It's also a great spot for taking panoramic photos of Hongyadong Cave!
The Qiansimen Jialing River Bridge is a river crossing connecting Yuzhong District and Jiangbei District in Chongqing, China. It is located on the Jialing River waterway and is part of the secondary urban road in the northern part of Chongqing.
The Qiansimen Jialing River Bridge opened to traffic on April 29, 2015.
To get a complete and unobstructed view of Hongyadong, we first took the subway to the Grand Theater Station on the other side of the river, then walked back across Qiansimen Bridge. I'm always drawn to crossing a bridge across the Yangtze River, and this was my second time crossing a Yangtze River bridge, the previous being the Wuhan Yangtze River Bridge. Technically, it's not the Yangtze River flowing underneath, but the Jialing River, but what difference does it make? It joins the Yangtze River soon after. Yes, you can see the confluence of the two rivers from Qiansimen Bridge, but the viewpoint isn't particularly good. The best viewpoint was one I stumbled upon later, but I'll save that for later.
It is best to walk on the right side of the Qiansimen Bridge so that you can see Hongyadong. However, we didn't think much about it and randomly walked on the left side. Once we got on the bridge, we couldn't cross it because the middle of the bridge was divided. The left side is also good and has a good view of the river.
The Qiansimen Jialing River Bridge starts from Cangbai Road in the south, crosses the Jialing River waterway, and ends at Jiangbei Chengda Street South Road in the north; the total length of the line is 1,647 meters and the main bridge is 720 meters long; the upper level of the bridge deck is a two-way four-lane urban expressway with a design speed of 40 kilometers per hour; the lower level is a double-track rail urban transportation.
The Qiansimen Jialing River Bridge's design integrates the bridge into Chongqing's landscape, fully showcasing the beauty of Chongqing's "mountains, waters, city, and bridges." Its location adjacent to Hongyadong, known for its cluster of stilt houses, embodies the traditional architectural style of the Bayu region. The interplay of classical architecture and modern bridge design creates a harmonious blend of past and present, meeting new needs and experiences for those crossing the bridge. The Qiansimen Jialing River Bridge's planning and design fully considered the city's ecological environment. Utilizing modern technology, the design incorporates sustainable development, intelligent construction, greenery and water features, urban support functions, and the city skyline. The bridge's relationship with other factors is strategically positioned, ensuring an organic whole with the environment and the bridge itself, creating a virtuous cycle. Furthermore, during construction, the designers incorporated the Chinese element of "Tian Shuo" into an international language. The main tower of the Qiansimen Jialing River Bridge is in the shape of a shuttle, small at both ends and large in the middle, streamlined, like a weaving shuttle. It has both the masculine aura of a sword pointing to the sky and the harmonious beauty of linear smoothness, fully realizing the innovation and development of national culture and becoming a famous "Internet celebrity" bridge.
Located near Chongqing's Hongyadong Scenic Area, the Qiandianmen Bridge offers a great spot for capturing the panoramic nighttime view of Hongyadong. If you have time, walk the entire length of the bridge and then take the underpass back through the other side. Here, you can admire Hongyadong's antique hanging-foot buildings, perfectly perched on the cliffside overlooking the Jialing River, fully and richly capturing the bustling prosperity of old Chongqing. The lighting at night is particularly stunning, fully showcasing the region's current splendor. Combined with the towering buildings behind it, standing on the breathtaking Qiandianmen Bridge and gazing back, it's hard not to gasp in admiration.
One of the best locations to take photos of Hongyadong. You can go up there and walk across the river.
A popular check-in spot in Chongqing, connecting Yuzhong District and Jiangbei District.
The Qiansimen Bridge at night combined with the scenery of Hongyadong is so beautiful that it seems unreal.
Hongyadong, the representative of magical Chongqing: When you take the elevator from the 1st floor to the 11th floor and prepare to "climb up" to see the distant view, Chongqing still has a crowded road, horse and road for you.
Hongyadong has a total of 11 floors. You can enjoy the Qiansimen Bridge when you go out from the top floor. Across the road on the first floor is an excellent place to take pictures of Hongyadong.
It is recommended to go to the top floor in the evening, feel the river breeze, and appreciate the Jialing River and Qiansimen Bridge during the day, then go down the stairs to the first floor in one breath, walk across the street, and wait quietly for the night to fall.
After viewing the night view of Hongyadong, climb the stairs back to the top floor to see the night view of Qiansimen Bridge.
Beautiful, whether it is day or night, it is a beautiful landscape
Right next to Hongyadong, the night view is amazing!!
This is the place to enjoy the night view of the two rivers. The Hongya Cave next to it is also very crowded.
The night view of the bridge is very beautiful and spectacular. It is worth the trip.
Qiansimen Jialing River Bridge, you can cross the bridge to the opposite side of Hongyadong to see the scenery.
So, it's worth a visit.
North Shore and South Shore
Day and night
East and west sides of the North Shore
Night under Hongya Cave on the South Bank
Chongqing Yangtze River First Bridge, the surrounding environment is good for taking photos, especially the night view
A very nice bridge, it looks very nice when photographed together with Hongyadong
As the core symbol of Chongqing, it connects mountains and water, city and nature, and embodies the unique charm of Chongqing.
It became popular because of Hongyadong. It still looks very unique, especially at night. The crowds near Hongyadong are bustling and lively!
The night view is very beautiful, blending into both sides of the river.
It combines daily transportation and sightseeing, which is good.
It is quite fast to walk from one end of Hongyadong to the other side. Cars can be driven on the upper level of the bridge, and there are pedestrian walkways on both sides. The lower level is the No. 6 light rail. You can take pictures of Hongyadong while standing on the bridge.
You can visit it together with Hongyadong, and it is recommended to see the night view
Handsome, the river view is invincible, the night view is invincible, I can't help but stop and look more
After passing Chaotianmen Wharf, we soon saw the imposing Qiansimen Bridge spanning the Jialing River, connecting Yuzhong and Jiangbei. It was already past nine when we returned to the 11th-floor exit. We'd been thinking of crossing the Qiansimen Bridge to admire the Hongyadong cave from above, but unexpectedly, traffic restrictions had been put in place. The side I'd walked on during the day was only open to pedestrians heading from Jiangbei to Yuzhong. We had no choice but to walk the other way, towards Jiangbei. We'd planned to turn back a bit, but the bridge was completely blocked off with railings, making it impossible to pass. We had no choice but to follow the crowd and walk the 720-meter bridge to Jiangbei...
The roof of Hongyadong. Walk further ahead and you will see it. It is another good place to take pictures of Hongyadong.
During the day, there are few pedestrians on the bridge. Looking at the buildings on both sides of the Jialing River, I marvel at the wisdom of Chongqing people and the strong sense of three-dimensionality. At night, the bridge is so charming with its shining lights.
To reach Qiansimen Bridge, go to the 11th floor of Hongyadong, walk out onto the street, and walk a little further. Unfortunately, the entrance to Hongyadong is blocked, meaning visitors must walk the other way, completely circumnavigating Qiansimen, to reach that side for photos. Honestly, taking photos from Qiansimen Bridge is truly stunning.
I walked about one-third of the bridge and stood on it looking at the Jialing River. I was really afraid of heights, especially when the light rail came below. There was a little vibration, and I was scared and my legs felt weak. Especially when I stretched my phone out to take pictures, I would glance at the river and feel like a small boat floating on the river, unable to reach the shore at either end. After taking the pictures, I went back immediately.
They say the view from afar is much better than the close-up view. After much deliberation, I decided to walk across the Qiansimen Bridge to see the night view of Hongyadong from the other side of the river. Besides the men and women who looked like tourists, the rest of the crowd was just elderly people strolling leisurely. After a satisfying meal and a dog walk on the bridge, it was a delightful experience.
Beside Hongyadong, whether you want to take pictures of Hongyadong or Qiansimen Bridge, it is a must-see attraction with a beautiful night view.
Hongyadong, Jiefangbei Pedestrian Street, and Chongqing Times Square are all within walking distance. It is a very distinctive bridge.
Very beautiful night view. Don't forget to take the Two Rivers Night Tour when you go to Chongqing.
A popular check-in spot, with light rail running on the first floor and cars and pedestrians on the second floor. The night view of Hongyadong from the bridge is really beautiful.
As far as I can remember, Wang Yuan took a cycling selfie at this angle or location. I don’t know the exact angle, but it was really beautiful.
Qiansimen Bridge is a double-deck interchange spanning the Jialing River. The light rail passes on the lower deck, while cars pass on the upper deck. When you stroll on the upper deck, you can feel the slight vibration when the light rail passes by on the lower deck.
I highly recommend taking an evening walk around Hongyadong. You can enjoy the riverside breeze and admire Hongyadong from afar. Most importantly, you can admire Hongyadong against the backdrop of the Jiefangbei business district. The large subtitles "Hello Chongqing, Hello World" on the building light show behind it are truly captivating.
I took many pictures from different angles and finally kept this one.
The bridge is uniquely designed and looks great during the day, but the night view is even more stunning.
This is Qiansimen Bridge. Whether you look at it from Hongyadong or from here, it is a very beautiful scenery.
It looks better than the lights on the Yangtze River Bridge in Wuhan
It is beautiful when viewed from Hongya Cave, and then you can see Hongya Cave from the bridge!
The night view is beautiful, and you can walk to Hongyadong from the bridge
I have to say that the feeling of looking at the Qiansimen Bridge from the crowded Hongyadong is completely different from standing on the bridge to look at the river view and feel the river breeze. Of course, there are not many people here, so you can take as many tourist photos as you want.
The Qiansimen Bridge is more beautiful at night. It is next to Hongyadong and has a beautiful night view.
If you want to see the panoramic view of Hongyadong, the most recommended ones are Qiansimen Bridge and Yangtze River Cableway. The bridge deck of Qiansimen Bridge is as high as the 11th floor of Hongyadong.
The sidewalk on the bridge is a bit crowded with many tourists, so you have to brush shoulders with them. The road becomes even narrower when you come across a man selling golden plums and a young man singing and playing music to make a living.
The scenery at night is very beautiful. Looking at Hongyadong from across the river, you will see a different kind of scenery.
Every bridge has a story. Just as you admire the scenery from a bridge, others gaze back from a window. A bridge looks different from different angles. A means of transportation, yet still aesthetically pleasing, it possesses both civil and military power.
It is also a popular tourist attraction in Chongqing. You can take photos of Hongyadong from the bridge. The picture below is a photo of the bridge taken from the riverside during the dry season.
The Qiansimen Bridge at night is really beautiful. It seems that the lights are turned off at 11 o'clock in the evening.
Located upstream of Chaotianmen where the Jialing River meets the Yangtze River, the Yizuo Bridge is the closest to Chaotianmen. It is also the lowest bridge on the Jialing River. It is shared by cars and light rails. It has a modern design and is close to Hongyadong.
The place where I stayed on the first day had a full view of the Dandao Bridge, which is also a viewing point for Hongyadong. During the National Day holiday, the bridge was temporarily closed due to the large number of people.
It can be visited together with Hongya Cave. It is recommended to walk and take pictures of the night view of Hongya Cave.
The night view at night is very beautiful, complementing the Hongya Cave. It is a must-see in Chongqing.
A must-see spot for night views, you can take different photos on and across the bridge
In order to find the way to the Qiansimen Bridge, I wandered around for a long time and finally came to the upstairs, which is the floor of the iconic Hongya Cave. Next to it is the entrance to the bridge.
Right next to Hongyadong, you can see Hongyadong and Chaotianmen from the bridge.
It is right next to Hongyadong. The night view is very beautiful. It is quite spectacular when you walk in. Opposite is the Chongqing Grand Theater.
It's beautiful, isn't it? Chongqing is called the city that never sleeps, and it's not in vain. It's so beautiful that I don't want to go home. I came here on vacation and came on the first night to see this beauty that is like a postcard. You can see the night view of Hongyadong from the bridge, a good place for taking pictures
Chongqing's night view is really beautiful and Chongqing hotpot is also delicious and worth visiting.
The scenery by the river is pretty good. There is a place to drink tea and rest by the river. It is very comfortable.
The Jialing River is a must-see. The place where it meets the Yangtze River is quite interesting. The water of the Yangtze River is yellow, while the water of the Jialing River is basically green. The confluence is clearly green and yellow.
Walking onto the bridge, I felt as if I were immersed in the dazzling night scene. Take pictures! Take pictures, take pictures!
The light is in the river, the ripples are sparkling, and the scenery is in the eyes, refreshing.
Around 7pm, I took an express train across Qiansimen Bridge to get a close-up view of Hongyadong at night. I wanted to remind the driver to slow down when crossing the bridge, but he was completely unintentional. Traffic was jammed, so I could see as much as I wanted. On the bridge and across, the traffic was completely jammed. But even though it was my second time seeing Hongyadong, the night view was still breathtaking. The quaint stilt houses and the dazzling lights really gave me a Spirited Away vibe.
The night view is beautiful and worth visiting. Other attractions are also nearby.
Looking over from Hongyadong is Qiansimen Bridge, which is also a beautiful landscape on the Jialing River.
This is where I went when I first came to Chongqing. I couldn’t find it at first and ended up going the wrong way a few times! Haha, I finally saw the Qiansimen Bridge and I also went to the Chongqing Museum across the street!
I think Qiansimen Bridge is a must-see destination in Chongqing.
It's really beautiful and will make you cry
Let's go
It's actually quite close to walk from Jiefangbei to Hongyadong and then to Qiansimen Bridge. I really like the orange color of the Qiansimen Bridge; it's so eye-catching and bright. Then I realized it had to be bright. In this foggy city, everything is blindingly bright, so the bridge is orange, the color used for international rescue and black box rescues (I feel like I know too much).
Qiansimen Bridge is a great place to take photos of Hongyadong. When you walk to the middle of the bridge, you can get a panoramic view of Hongyadong. Remember to come here at night to take pictures of the night view, it is very beautiful.
