The final leg of today's itinerary is a journey back to Chongqing along the Wujiang River. The Wujiang River, a hundred-mile gallery, reveals the emerald green waters of the Wujiang River, flanked by verdant peaks. The river flows through the mountains, creating a breathtaking scene of beauty and spirituality.

We stopped briefly at a place called Yangjiao Town on the banks of the Wu River. The entire village was made up of identical houses, neatly arranged. However, my son asked a more difficult question: "If I get drunk, will I be unable to find my way home?" Because the streets and houses are all the same!

There are several viewing platforms beside the Wujiang River. It was already dark when I walked to the last one, so I didn’t take a closer look and rushed all the way back to Chongqing city.

Wujiang River is the largest river in Guizhou Province. It was called Yanjiang River and Qianjiang River in ancient times. It is the "Mother River" of Guizhou and the largest tributary on the south bank of the upper Yangtze River. The Wujiang River Basin spans Yunnan, Guizhou, Chongqing and Hubei provinces.

Wujiang River is the largest river in Guizhou Province and a tributary of the Yangtze River. It originates in Guizhou and flows into the Yangtze River in Fuling, Chongqing. Yes, it is the local origin of the recently popular Fuling Zhacai (pickled mustard greens). Hahaha~

The Wujiang River Gallery, where boats sail on the blue waves and people swim in a painting, probably refers to this place. Strictly speaking, the Wujiang River Gallery is not a specific scenic spot, but the dozens of kilometers of river section from the Wanzu Power Station to Gongtan Ancient Town. The mountains along the way are magnificent, and being in it is like being in a painting.

This is a rest stop on the way to Baimashan. The scenery is just average.

Generally speaking, the boat ride is pretty good. There are cliffs on one side of the river and a small town on the other.

Driving along National Highway G319, you'll find the beautiful Wujiang River Gallery. Alternatively, you can take a boat from the Wanzu Wharf in Pengshui for a water-based tour. If you take the boat, there will be a guide on board.

Wujiang Gallery is located on the side of National Highway 319. The scenery is pretty good.

Mei Ruoweng, a Qing Dynasty poet, once praised the Wujiang River like this: "Among the marvelous landscapes of Sichuan, this one is the best." Along the way, you can admire the Wujiang River's hundred-mile-long art gallery of towering mountains and evergreen clear waters. Boats slowly paddle across the jade-like river surface, making you feel as if you are in a painting. This brand-new gorge-river charm makes you linger.

I visited the Wujiang Gallery on my way down the river from Wanzu Wharf in Pengshui to Gongtan Ancient Town. I was amazed by the color of the Wujiang River along the way. I really liked it here.

Standing on the deck, feeling the crisp river breeze and admiring the beautiful scenery along the banks of the Wujiang River, is truly delightful. A sudden downpour is ideal, when a thin layer of mist gradually rises from the river, resembling smoke and frost, a dreamlike experience. Then, as the sun sets, the orange afterglow envelops the valley and scatters across the misty river, with faint glimpses of the lights on the distant mountains. This breathtakingly beautiful nightscape is tranquil and ethereal, beckoning one to linger.

The rain came hard overnight, but it was a rare opportunity for a good night's sleep. The next morning, I opened the old wooden window. A light mist curled over the Wujiang River, and the slightly moist, fresh mountain air, mixed with the fragrance of morning dew and earth, hit me. I gently closed my eyes, tilted my head back, and took a deep breath, feeling the rich breath of life slowly enveloping my body, rushing in through my nose and slowly flowing through my limbs. I exhaled deeply, feeling refreshed and all my fatigue gone.

Wujiang Gallery is located on the provincial road between Fengdu and Wulong. It is not a tourist attraction, but just a very beautiful road. However, the mountain road is very narrow and there are not many opportunities to take photos.

It was drizzling when I went there, so the pictures I took were not very good. The river water was emerald green, very beautiful.

I took a look at it when I went to Furong Cave. It seemed that the scenic area was also undergoing renovations and was not open to the public at that time. The river water was really green.

The "Wujiang Hundred Miles Gallery" originates from the Wujiang River in Weining County, Guizhou Province, enters Wanmu Township and Gongtan Town in Youyang Tujia and Miao Autonomous County, Chongqing from Yanhe County, Guizhou Province, and merges into the Yangtze River in Fuling, Chongqing. It is 1,070 kilometers long and its main landscape elements are "strange mountains, strange rocks, clear waters, dangerous rapids, ancient towns, covered bridges, towpaths, and hanging burials." The Youyang section of about 60 kilometers is the most essential "Wujiang Hundred Miles Gallery" of the Thousand Miles Wujiang River.

The Wujiang River stretches over 200 kilometers from Yanhe River to Youyang, Chongqing, forming a natural landscape gallery. The five gorges—Jiashi Gorge, Lizhi Gorge, Yintong Gorge, Tutuo Gorge, and Wangtuo Gorge—stretch 89 kilometers, each known as the "Hundred-Mile Wujiang River Gallery." Lush greenery adorns both banks, with overlapping peaks and striking peaks each showcasing its own unique beauty. The Wujiang River gorges are both harmoniously integrated and uniquely distinctive. Jiashi Gorge boasts towering mountains reaching the clouds, a swath of blue sky, a howling gorge wind, and the surging river. Lizhi Gorge is charming and diverse, with the Beauty Peak, Tianmen Stone, Straw Hat Stone, and Buddha Finger Mountain all resembling each other in appearance. Its diverse and breathtaking scenery makes it the most beautiful of all gorges. Yintong Gorge is playful and treacherous, with towering mountains occasionally crossing the river on either side. The winding paths and hills, the mountains and rivers, make sailing through it feel like entering a maze, leaving one lost. Tutuo Gorge boasts high mountains, deep waters, and secluded valleys. Between the towering peaks and steep ridges lie vast bamboo forests, towering ancient trees, herds of beasts competing for beauty, and hundreds of birds singing. You can witness the monkeys, long extinct in the Three Gorges, clinging to vines, playing in the river, their long cries, or even pushing rocks at boats to frighten tourists. Wujiang Hundred Miles Gallery is a municipal-level scenic spot, accessible via a Wujiang pleasure boat. The surrounding areas are characterized by simple and ancient folk customs, including the thousand-year-old beauty of the Ayi River, Gongtan, the first ancient town in Chongqing's history and culture, the primitive and profound Shenlong Valley, Anzi Miao Village, the birthplace of Miao folk songs, Mayang River, a national nature reserve, and Mowei Mountain, a health and summer resort, forming a cluster with rich tourism resources.

The scenery is breathtaking and worth a visit. It is best to visit in winter. It is too hot in summer.

This is in Wulong County. On the way to Furong Cave, I passed by the Wujiang River Gallery. It's absolutely stunning! The emerald green water is so beautiful! It instantly brightened my mood. Such picturesque scenery. It's a must-see on the way to Furong Cave, so it's a must-see for those driving.

The scenery was truly amazing! We hiked for about four or five kilometers, along a narrow path suspended over the Wujiang River. The scenery truly changed with every step. Looking back, I was greeted by a sea of greenery, and the air was incredibly fresh and refreshing. It was truly amazing! The entire Wujiang Gallery Scenic Area is probably over ten kilometers long. We walked about four or five kilometers the afternoon before, about halfway there, and then stayed at a hotel in the middle of the area that night. The exterior resembled a Miao village stilt house, but the interior was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped. Since we were on a tour group, the food was a bit disappointing, but I won't say anything about it, as it doesn't represent the local atmosphere. The next morning, when we took the electric car from the hotel (50 yuan at your own expense, otherwise you'd have to walk another five or six kilometers out of the area), the guide had trouble coordinating. The entire group waited an hour or two for the car, which was a complete waste of our early morning wake-up call. There were probably only a few electric cars in the area, so if you missed it, you'd have to wait a long, long time. The electric car driver was absolutely insane! He raced down the narrow path suspended over the river, clutching the handrails tightly the entire way, not wanting to move. The early morning wind was so strong that it almost paralyzed my face. I was so terrified the entire time that I didn't even get to see the scenery properly. .

Some say the Wujiang River's beauty lies in its peril and beauty. Wulong residents often compare the lower reaches of the Wujiang River, which flows through Wulong, to the majestic Kuimen Gate, the Three Gorges, and the stunning Emei Mountain. Looking down from the river, one can't help but exclaim: "The distant mountains are mysterious, the nearby mountains are majestic, the ravines are tranquil, and the mountains are beautiful." Indeed, the Wujiang River scenery along National Highway 319 from the river's mouth to Wulong County is breathtaking and truly moving!

The round trip boat ride takes 2 hours. It was very fresh at first and the river breeze was very comfortable, but it was too boring after 2 hours.

The Wujiang River originates in Weining County, Guizhou Province, and flows from Yanhe County, Guizhou Province into Wanmu Township, Gongtan Ancient Town, and Pengshui Autonomous County of Youyang Autonomous County, Chongqing, and then flows into the Yangtze River in Fuling, Chongqing. The main stream is 1,037 kilometers long. The section from Gaogu Town in Pengshui County to Wanmu in Youyang has the reputation of "a thousand-mile Wujiang River and a hundred-mile art gallery."

Wujiang Gallery is a municipal-level scenic spot, accessible via a Wujiang pleasure boat. The surrounding area boasts quaint folk customs, including the unchanging beauty of the Ayi River, the ancient town of Gongtan, a landmark of Chongqing's history and culture, the pristine and profound Shenlong Valley, Anzi Miao Village, the birthplace of Miao folk songs, the national nature reserve of Mayang River, and the health resort of Mowei Mountain, forming a cluster of rich tourist resources. Currently open to the public are the Pengshui Wujiang Gallery Scenic Area, the Ayi River Scenic Area, the Youyang Gongtan Ancient Town, and other scenic areas, including the Pengshui and Youyang Gongtan Ancient Towns.

The Wujiang River—as a child I knew it was a mighty river reaching to the heavens. The surging waters and the traces of ancient history floating on its surface once filled me with both awe and longing.
