The Yanwu Bridge located on the Ring Island Road has a bridge deck elevation of only 5 meters and is considered to be the bridge closest to sea level in the world. At high tide, the sea water is almost level with the bottom of the bridge.
Standing on the viewing platform that is not open to traffic, you can have a panoramic view of the endless flow of people on the bridge and the ships coming and going on the sea. You can also look up at the Twin Towers nearby and overlook Gulangyu Island on the opposite bank.
Dusk and night are the most charming times for Yanwu Bridge. At sunset, the bridge outlines a black line against the orange-red sea and sky, and locals take a walk or exercise under the bridge. After nightfall, the bridge is lit up with dots of lights, and from a distance it looks like a dazzling array of intertwined light bands.
What is special is that in order not to affect the coastal landscape, there are no lamp poles on the bridge, and only ground lamps attached to the guardrails provide lighting.

Yanwu Bridge is the bridge closest to the sea level. If you travel to Xiamen, you can also choose to go to the observation deck to overlook Gulangyu Island and the sea level.
This is also one of the representative places where scenic spots are concentrated. Xiamen University, Art West District, Baicheng Beach, Nanputuo Temple, Shapowei and Maojie are all nearby.
I was strolling along the beach after dinner to digest the food, but there were many people taking photos here. The night view was also very beautiful. The beach under the Yanwu Bridge was washed flat by the sea water, which looked very comfortable. The sea was sparkling, the sky was blue, and the twin towers stood tall. It seemed that all good things would happen here. It is also across the water from Zhangzhou, and it is very convenient to go shopping, and the World Trade Center is next to it.
I didn't take many pictures of the Yanwu Bridge, but I put together some pictures of the B&B I stayed in. [色] An Instagram-style B&B in Zengcuo'an near the Yanwu Bridge! The environment is not bad, and the key point is that it is really hygienic and clean. It is a popular B&B that combines music and photography. There are also folk singers performing after 19:00 in the evening. It is a very good choice for vacation!
The bridge closest to the sea level also has a viewing platform. On the viewing platform, there are vehicles moving above your head and the sea below your feet. You can see the twin towers of Shimao Straits Building up close. It is also a great place to watch the sunset and is worth a visit.
The Yanwu Bridge is very beautiful, and it feels different during the day and at night. There is an observation deck on the Yanwu Bridge, but it was closed when I went there. You can enjoy the World Trade Center up close.
The bridge in the world is the closest to sea level. Tourists can only go up the bridge by car, or climb the observation deck of the Strait Shimao Building to overlook it. Not long ago, the observation platform under the bridge was completed and opened, and you can go up and walk around.
The reason why Yanwu Bridge is so close to the sea is to protect the Baicheng Campus of Xiamen University. It is a good place for a walk at night. I envy the students of Xiamen University.
The Yanwu Bridge sparkles as the sun sets. The afterglow of the setting sun makes the Yanwu Bridge look "warm". I like this warm picture. The Yanwu Bridge is very beautiful. The bridge stands in the sea, which is complex and intertwined. My hometown Dalian has also built a cross-sea bridge in recent years. The bridge is far into the sea, unlike the Yanwu Bridge, which is right by the sea and so close to the people.
The bridge closest to sea level in the world is very beautiful. Standing on the bridge, feeling the sea breeze, looking at the intersection of the sea and sky in the distance, and the Twin Towers nearby, it feels great!
Yanwu Bridge is the bridge closest to the sea. It is winding and has a special viewing platform. The background is the World Trade Center, a landmark building in Xiamen, which blends in with the winding motorway. It is very comfortable to watch the sea view and feel the breeze on the bridge. I think the bridge must be very majestic from a distance.
After dinner, I walked to Yanwu Bridge, took a walk in the breeze, and looked at the night view of Xiamen with lights just turned on. Gulangyu Island across the sea was looming, and the brilliant lights on Sunlight Rock could still be seen. The colorful colors of the Twin Towers showed a different style under the sky.
Yanwu Bridge is really suitable for visiting at night. The night view is very beautiful. The lights of the twin towers and the bridge are all on, which looks particularly beautiful.
#Yanwu Bridge Sea View#
Yanwu Bridge is 2.2 kilometers long. It is close to the sea, like the undulating waves. It faces the famous Gulangyu Scenic Area across the sea, realizing the organic combination of landscape and transportation. It is also a part of the Xiamen International Marathon track. It is built across the sea, winding and circling, and looks like a long dragon from a distance. It is very suitable to come here at night and enjoy the night view of Xiamen from the observation deck.
What a complicated overpass! There is a long bridge with a platform for viewing the scenery! 👍🏻Great! The sea breeze is so strong, it feels so comfortable, but you have to be careful to hold on to your hat and other things, so they don't get blown away😂You can go down to the beach from the side🏖You can take pictures of the bridge from under the bridge (although only part of it, it's also spectacular, but I didn't take a picture...) You can only take pictures of the scenery from the bridge
This is a great place to watch the sunrise and sunset, the wind and the clouds. Here, you can hear the sound of the waves deep in your heart, and guess the mood of the sea at high tide from the mottled bridge piers.
On cloudy days or in the early morning when the sun is not rising, walk from the Yanwu Bridge beach to the low-lying part of the bridge pier to take a portrait of the mottled ruins of the bridge pier. Please do not go down when the tide is high or when the staff stop you, and pay attention to safety.
It takes only 2 minutes to ride a bike from Shapowei to Yanwu Bridge. The rain was about to stop, so I hurried to the observation deck to take some pictures. Yanwu Bridge is really very very close to the sea level. You can see Gulangyu Island and Zhangzhou Port from the observation deck, as well as large cargo ships. Although the sea is not so vast when you look out from Yanwu Bridge, it was my first time seeing the sea, and I was still excited for a while.
The sea on a cloudy day appears green, which is different from what you might imagine. Xiamen’s iconic building, the World Trade Center, is right next to the Yanwu Bridge, and there is also a paid observation deck on it.
The scenery around the bridge is beautiful, with the Twin Towers across the way! The night view is even more beautiful!
It is a long white bridge built by Xiamen City along the coast of Xiamen Island. It is spectacular both from near and far. The taxi driver told me that Xiamen has had many days of rain, so the sea water under the bridge is very high. From the bridge, the sea surface is almost level with the bridge, which is quite thrilling.
Magnificent is the word that popped into my mind after seeing the Yanwu Bridge. The visual beauty it creates is very strong. The criss-crossing lines dance in different steps on the sea level, passing through the city and the sea.
This bridge is the closest bridge to the sea level in Asia. You can see the color of the bridge piers after being flooded.
There are also many children playing in the sand on the beach under the bridge~
It's nice to take a walk here in the evening to enjoy the scenery.
To be honest, I didn’t expect that Yanwu Bridge starts at Shapowei. I also feel very lucky along the way. I didn’t look for it much, and these attractions and routes were naturally connected together.
This bridge is very big, like a big square. It is highly recommended to take a walk there at night.
When the car passed the Yanwu Bridge, the taxi driver told us that the bridge was built to avoid Xiamen University, so that Xiamen University would not have to demolish a large area of buildings. This is really a wise decision. The bridge is now a very nice sight to see on Baicheng Beach. Moreover, this overpass connects the South Gate of Xiamen University and Baicheng Beach.
The lowest bridge from sea level is set off by the Twin Towers not far away. Standing on the bridge, you can see the vast sea ahead, the endless stream of cars above your head, and the imposing Twin Towers next to you. It is said that the Yanwu Bridge at night is a good place to enjoy the night view of the Twin Towers.
The sea near the Yanwu Bridge is really clean, and opposite is Zhangzhou Port and Gulang Island. There is a viewing platform on the bridge where you can see Gulang Island from afar. But when we went there, it was too hot, and there were quite a few people on the viewing platform. It is said that the Yanwu Bridge is a good place to watch the sunset. You can go to the viewing platform of the Yanwu Bridge at sunset to enjoy the sea breeze and watch the sunset.
The bridge closest to the sea is spectacular. Walking on the beach and listening to the sound of the waves
I think this observation deck is very worthwhile to visit. If the weather is good, the view will be even better.
Although as a Chongqing native, I am not surprised by all kinds of bridges, but the martial arts performance is still very good. I can feel the struggle and harmony between human wisdom and nature, especially against the backdrop of the twin towers and Gulangyu Island opposite, it is a special experience. . .
Many residents were running, and the bridge for running and walking also extended to the sea. From the bridge, you can overlook Gulangyu Island and feel the gentle sea breeze. It feels peaceful and comfortable! I only knew it was the Yanwu Bridge after reading the introduction!
The Yanwu Bridge Observation Deck is located on the outside of the Yanwu Road Interchange of the Yanwu Bridge and consists of three piers and a viewing platform. In line with the white fish belly style of the Yanwu Bridge, the viewing platform has a total area of more than 10,000 square meters and extends gently to Xiamen Bay, reflecting the blue sea and sky. You can see the ferry, Haicang, Gulangyu Island and Zhangzhou Port, and listen to the Langgu Rock Wall.
The Yanwu Bridge Observation Deck faces Gulangyu Island across the sea. It is a great place to daydream, watch the sea, and enjoy the breeze.
This is a popular photo-taking spot with great scenery. You can watch the sunrise and sunset, the circling bridge, the World Trade Center Twin Towers, Gulang Island opposite, cars coming and going, and ships coming and going.
A great spot to enjoy the sea view near Xiamen Twin Towers
A must-visit place to watch the sunset in Xiamen. I passed by here on my bike at the end of September and admired the vast sunset. It was so beautiful and I encountered the most beautiful Xiamen red.
The intricate Yanwu Bridge has a nice night view.
One of my favorite bridges. The night view is so beautiful. When I have nothing to do, I like to take a ride around it no matter how far it is.
Yanwu Bridge is really a beautiful bridge...
The Yanwu Bridge Observation Deck is located below the Twin Towers, the tallest building in Xiamen. It faces Gulang Island across the sea. The sea view is amazing. There are basically no tourists. In the morning and evening, there are many locals exercising. It is a great place to enjoy the sea breeze and watch the sunset.
The scenery is great, watching the sunset couldn't be more pleasant
The bridge faces Xiamen's most famous twin towers.
It feels great to drive on it, and the Xiamen University White City below is also beautiful.
If you come to Xiamen, you will miss out if you don’t visit the Yanwu Bridge. The bridge closest to the sea level, with white railings and blue water, suddenly appears in front of you, and the emptiness is indescribable.
Running a marathon straight to the Tianwu Bridge was my long-cherished wish in 2012. This year, it came true.
It is completely possible to walk from Baicheng Beach to Yanwu Bridge. The Yanwu Bridge, winding on the sea, slowly extends and undulates like waves. The Yanwu Bridge is not only magnificent, but also has a special status in the world's bridge architecture. It is currently the world's closest cross-sea bridge to the sea level. This world record was not the original intention of the designer, but an unexpected gain from the modification of the plan. The reason why the Yanwu Bridge is so close to the sea is entirely to protect the Baicheng Campus of Xiamen University.
The bridge is really beautiful. It seems that there is a marathon here every year. Locals said that because the Yanwu Bridge uses ground lights, on high tide nights, the sea water rises and is basically level with the bridge deck. Walking on the bridge, the ground lights on both sides extend infinitely, and listening to the roaring tide, it is like a scene from a movie.
A bridge built on the sea, magnificent, we walked along the Yanwu Bridge from Baicheng to Shapowei. It was very pleasant to have the East China Sea accompany us along the way.
It's not bad, although there's actually nothing to see, it's just a viewing platform, but it's also good to enjoy the sea breeze.
Even if you go there at noon, the sea breeze is quite comfortable! Especially on a day like this with blue sky and white clouds, sitting on a cool bench on the viewing platform is quite relaxing.
There is also a road from the viewing platform that leads directly to the Shimao Strait Building next door. There are many restaurants inside, so you can eat something and take a break.
I have to say that humans are very powerful. They built such a great bridge along the seashore. We just passed by when we took a taxi. We could see the sea in the distance and feel the sea breeze. It was very comfortable.
I prefer Yanwu Bridge to Haicang Bridge. It is the bridge lowest to sea level in the world. Maybe it is for this reason that from a distance it combines perfectly with the blue sky, white clouds, sea and beach to form a moving painting.
The Yanwu Bridge is built on the sea. When the weather is good, it is very spectacular to see the bridge winding on the sea. It is also very beautiful at night with the lights on.
It looks very majestic. Friends who like it can go there at night to experience it. It is mainly because of good weather and a full moon, plus the lighting effect of the bridge itself, the overall artistic conception may come out. It should be very nice to drive all the way through it. Forget about it during the day. There is no need to spend the daytime as a special tourist attraction. Passing by at night is enough to experience the Yanwu Bridge. Friends who like architecture recommend this first.
I almost drove my car into the sea last time at the place I pass every day.
The scenery of the Yanwu Bridge in Binhai is absolutely impeccable. Driving on the bridge gives people a refreshing feeling. Unfortunately, there is no observation deck on the bridge, so the beautiful scenery is just a passing by. In the evening, I saw many people fishing on the bridge.
Those who like taking photos can take some photos at Yanwu Bridge, which is not only beautiful during the day, but also worth a look at at night. You can take photos of the traffic on the bridge or the outline under the bridge.
The silver band of light you see on Gulangyu Island at night is the Yanwu Bridge.
The night view is very beautiful.
Yanwu Bridge is near Xiamen University. It is a section of car passage built on the sea. It is a beautiful light strip when you see it at night. It is recommended to ride a bike there.
Yanwu Bridge, you can take a look,,,,,,
The Yanwu Bridge is right at Baicheng Beach, but pedestrians are not allowed on the bridge. You can go to Xiamen University to see the Yanwu Bridge from above. It is more beautiful to watch it from Nanputuo.
The Yanwu Bridge is built across the sea! The scenery is still very good!
Located on the Ring Island Road, it is the most suitable road for cycling and the most beautiful road I have ever seen.
The Yanwu Bridge is relatively low, and during the rainy season I just want to walk on the sea.
I pass by this magnificent project when I cycle around the island. I pass by it when I take the bus. I pass by this magnificent project many times every day.
Yanwu Bridge is located in the back sea of Xiamen University. It is built across the sea. At night, it lights up white, like a little white dragon rolling on the sea. On the right is Gulangyu Island, and on the left is Yanwu Road. Even if there is a traffic jam on the bridge at dusk, the mood is still pleasant. The night view of Gulangyu Island is beautiful!
A bridge connecting Xiamen and Zhangzhou, passing through the sea, the transportation is really convenient
When going to Xiamen University and Nanputuo Temple, you will pass the Yanwu Bridge. It is impossible to take pictures on the bridge. Later, in Baicheng of Xiamen University, looking to the right, the beautiful curve is the Yanwu Bridge.
A good place for a walk at night, the wind is blowing at night
Looking at the sea from this bridge, there is a bright moon rising from the sea, the water and the sky are one color and the water follows the sky. The bridge is no longer a cold building, but a platform for viewing the sea.
去演武大橋是我們騎自行車的時候,停在那裡的。從廈大出來在西門租了自行車🚲,沿著環島路一直向椰風寨騎去。
Yanwu Bridge is a sea bridge, which was opened to traffic in September 2003. You can see Yanwu Bridge from the gate of Xiamen University Baicheng! It is also next to Huandao Road. This bridge is currently the lowest bridge in the world from sea level. The structure adopts fisherman-type beams and elliptical piers, realizing the organic combination of landscape and traffic. It is said that at high tide, the sea water can be level with the bridge deck without flooding the bridge deck, giving people a sense of vastness on the sea!
I always wanted to see the Yanwu Bridge from the Ring Island Road. Then in the evening we rode along the Ring Island Road as the sun set and arrived at the intersection. The Yanwu Bridge at night was amazing!
I passed by here when I was traveling around the island. There was a large area of bougainvillea on the beach. It was so beautiful. I took a lot of beautiful photos.
I love Yanwu Bridge so much~ Especially at night, driving on the bridge over the sea, it feels like all the troubles of the day are gone~~~ You must go~ You must go at night!!!
Yanwu Bridge is located in the Xiamen Huandao Road Navy Wharf-Yanwu Road-Baicheng section. It was completed and put into use in September 2003. The entire bridge is white. In order to avoid affecting the coastal landscape, the bridge lighting adopts lighting lamps attached to the bridge guardrails instead of light poles. Yanwu Bridge is currently the closest cross-sea bridge to sea level in the world. At night, the white lights on the bridge are lit. It is particularly charming to watch the coastal night scene and listen to the sound of the waves from the bridge.
Nothing special, very half-hearted, just a visit
The Yanwu Bridge is so beautiful!!! It seems that there is a marathon here every year. When you ride on the bridge, you will understand why a bridge has such a wonderful feeling.
When we first arrived in Xiamen, the landlord told us that because Yanwu Bridge uses ground lights (lights on the ground on both sides of the road, not the tall street lights), when the tide is high at night, the sea water rises and is basically flush with the bridge surface. Driving on Yanwu Bridge is like driving on the sea, with the ground lights on both sides extending infinitely and the tide rushing. It feels like a Hollywood blockbuster! What? Want to experience it~? Okay, okay, first find a way to get a car in Xiamen... and you have to calculate the full moon tide...
I didn’t go up the Yanwu Bridge, but when I looked at the night view at night, I thought the bridge was very beautiful.
I think it looks better at sunset.
When I read the guide, I learned that the lowest point of Yanwu Bridge is only 5 meters above the sea surface, and grass has grown since then. The Yanwu Bridge is indeed graceful under the night sky. I was amazed by the beauty of Yanwu Bridge in the taxi. The driver said that there is a section of the bridge that is a sightseeing bridge, and bicycles and motor vehicles cannot go up, only pedestrians can walk on it. We experienced the Yanwu Bridge up close behind the Twin Towers. Finally, I can have a good look at its beauty!
