This is a newly developed scenic spot in recent years. It is not very well-known and there are not many tourists. You can drive into the scenic spot by paying a fee. Follow the road signs and there are several good scenic spots on the road where you can stop and play. It was September 29th, and half of the leaves of the poplars turned yellow. In half a month, it should be its most beautiful season.

You can't even take the bus out of the scenic area. It's a scam! It is recommended to go through the formal channels here and buy tickets from the gate to enter.

On the return trip, because we were going to Zhangye, we chose to take a bus from Jinta to Jiuquan. There was a traffic jam all the way, and it took 1.5 hours to get to Jiuquan Xiguan Bus Station. It cost 12 yuan to take a taxi to Jiuquan South. Therefore, even if you are a self-driving individual traveler, the transportation is still convenient.

Back to the Jinta Populus euphratica forest, the sightseeing bus has four parking spots. You can get off at the second Elaeagnus euphratica forest spot and walk to the wild Populus euphratica forest. The shape and color of the Populus euphratica here are better than those of the artificial Populus euphratica. At the third getting-off spot, you can climb the beacon tower to overlook the entire forest area, and then walk to Jinbo Lake. The scenery along the way is even better than that of Jinbo Lake.

Overall, if you want to see the Populus euphratica forest but don’t want to go to the farther Ejina, Jinta is a good choice.

This is not as melodious as Zhangye Danxia music, which is more pleasing to the eye when combined with the scenery. Lunch was solved in the snack area of Jinbo Lake. I ordered a few restaurants with bad tastes. It is not recommended to dine in the park. Apart from these shortcomings, Jinta Poplar Forest is generally a beautiful place worth visiting.
