The new museum was completed in 2010. It is the only provincial comprehensive museum in Guangdong Province, and a patriotism education base and social practice base in Guangzhou.
The exhibition focuses on Guangdong’s history and culture, art and nature, and is divided into four parts: the History Hall, the Nature Hall, the Art Hall and the Temporary Exhibition Hall.
The more precious exhibits include the natural specimens of "baleen whale skeleton", "giant malachite" and "Xinyi jade" weighing more than five tons.

I never thought that I, who had never been to a museum near my home before, would come twice in three months. I will go again in the future!
Guangdong Provincial Museum, free admission! You can make an appointment in advance on the official WeChat account, and print out your admission ticket with your ID card or mobile phone QR code. Basically, you don't have to queue to enter.
I used to think that the things in the museum were all the same, but now I find that they are not. There are often different themes for exhibits, as well as exhibits from different regions, provinces, and even foreign countries.
I personally like the ancient exhibition hall very much.
The design of this building is quite nice. I thought the sculpture at the door had always been like this. When I came out, I suddenly realized that this was because there was a special exhibition on ancient Egyptian civilization recently. I got a free ticket at the Ximen Reservation Ticket Center and I could go in to visit. I went to the second floor first. As soon as I entered the exhibition hall, I saw prawns and crabs. They looked delicious. Then I went to the third floor after visiting the second floor. I first saw the exhibition of Chinese export fans from the 18th to 20th centuries. It seemed that we went in the opposite direction. We first saw the Western fans and then the Chinese ones. The materials are mostly ivory, tortoise shell, silk, and sandalwood. The shape is very exquisite. It is estimated that they are for export. The fans are mostly based on Western patterns and complexity. On the contrary, the early ones are more elegant and in line with the traditional Chinese aesthetics. Then we went directly to the next Chaozhou woodcarving art exhibition. At this point, I remembered that there is a voice introduction to the exhibits on the WeChat public account here, but I tried it and it was almost the same as the introduction next to the exhibits, so I didn't listen to it later. This wooden screen is very beautiful, with words on one side and paintings on the other. There is another one next to it. At first, I saw it in surprise and told my friend that it was West Lake. She didn't see it, but after seeing the Three Pools Mirroring the Moon and other attractions, she realized that it was really West Lake. Later, we saw the truth from this introduction... So we all looked at the real objects first and then looked at the introduction. The next Duan Inkstone Art Exhibition, the various inkstones are very unique in shape, and then I want to introduce the large plate of this ceramic exhibition. The color matching is still very beautiful from a distance, and it was discovered that it was a dragon when I looked closely. The 4th floor was not open, so I finished the free tour. It was too early, so I went to buy tickets for the special exhibition of ancient Egyptian civilization. The full ticket for this exhibition is 60 per person, which is still quite expensive. Then you can rent a free guide at the door. We didn't notice it before entering the door, so we rented it and visited it based on the introduction. Then I couldn't understand the gods of Egypt after studying them. I could only see that many of their gods were in the form of birds and beasts, and I didn't understand the complex relationship between the gods at all. The famous Sphinx, the Sphinx, the models of ancient Egyptian architectural ruins, witchcraft, not only people, but also cats, fish and other animals. They would make mummies... I didn't dare to take pictures of the human-shaped mummies at the back, I only dared to take pictures of the coffins and totems. After visiting the Egyptian exhibition, it was almost lunch time, so we went out to find food. I think it might be because the 4th floor inside was being adjusted. The whole building is very beautiful, but the content of the museum is average. I always feel that the whole museum lacks some characteristics and soul. I still like museums that reflect more local history and culture.
We got up early and went to the Guangdong Museum. We entered at 9:30 and there was no long queue. The original plan was to finish visiting all the pavilions before 1:00 p.m., but I ended up visiting only the Egypt exhibition in the whole morning. So I went out for a meal because I was hungry. When we came back, we found a long queue. We took out the QR code of the paid exhibition and could enter through the reservation channel without queuing outside (luckily we bought tickets for two exhibitions).
An export exhibition of fine palace fans from the 18th to 20th centuries, with an entire exhibition hall filled with ivory. It is so luxurious, so exquisite, and so beautiful!
The Dream Back to the Tang Dynasty exhibition should be a co-organized exhibition with Shaanxi Province. The exhibits should all come from the Shaanxi Provincial Museum, and display some daily necessities of the Tang Dynasty: bronze mirrors, rouge and powder, Hanfu, etc.
I am helpless about the porcelain exhibition, how can it be so beautiful, with such colors and patterns, the products of Jun kiln must be top-notch, Longquan kiln and Ding kiln are all so beautiful.
Visitors need to approach from the west gate.
There are not many things on display inside, and many wonderful exhibitions require additional tickets
There is an exhibition area in the museum that is dedicated to displaying fans. There are many exquisite and luxurious fans, which show the luxurious life in the East and the West in the past, reflect the changes of the times, and also reflect the development and rise and fall of Sino-foreign trade from the side.
The Fragrance Museum talks about fragrance from various aspects, from the mechanism by which the human body can smell fragrance, from the fragrance of animals and plants, from the fragrance of medicinal materials, etc.

Recommendation index: ★★★★★
Guangdong Provincial Museum, located in Guangzhou Flower City Square, is a comprehensive museum integrating history, art and nature. Its unique architectural design is like a fine work of art inlaid in the city. When you step into the museum, you will be overwhelmed by the rich collections, from Guangdong's local history to precious natural specimens, to exquisite art treasures, each of which reveals a profound cultural heritage. It is particularly worth mentioning that the museum's exhibition design is ingenious and highly interactive, allowing visitors to deeply experience the historical changes and cultural prosperity of Guangdong and even China while watching. It is an unforgettable journey of knowledge and aesthetics.
Guangdong Provincial Museum is located on the north side of Guangzhou Tower, across the Pearl River and adjacent to the Grand Theater. Its architectural style implies "treasure container". Chaozhou wood carving and lacquerware exhibitions have local characteristics. Guangdong furniture is famous for its history, especially the craftsmanship of rosewood furniture, which is unique. All of them have mortise and tenon structures and are strong and durable.
Although the Guangdong Museum is one of the first national first-class museums, it does not have the "treasures of the museum" like some other provincial museums (such as the Sword of Goujian, King of Yue in the Hubei Museum). In addition, the Guangdong History and Folklore exhibition hall is currently closed, so overall the level of the museum is a bit regrettable.
But in terms of the overall experience, the Guangdong Museum is still doing quite well. In particular, it is able to make some use of the exhibits it has; at the same time, the various types of exhibition halls can complement each other in terms of content, meeting the "comprehensive" exhibition needs that a visitor may have.
The most profound exhibition content is the wood carvings from the Chaoshan area.
One can't help but wonder that the most amazing wood carvings were moved from Chaoshan to Guangzhou. No wonder cultural tourism there has never been developed. After all, there is nothing to exhibit even in a museum.
In terms of supporting facilities, the museum is not very good. There is not even a decent cafe, let alone any catering services.
(It should be said that there is not a single decent cafe in the entire area, including Haixinsha.)
On Valentine's Day, visit museums to improve cultural literacy. In a low voice, apart from introducing Lingnan culture, there are few treasures, almost none, and the essence may be all in the Nanyue King Museum. Most of the dinosaur fossils are from Sichuan😂.
Free admission, queue up to enter with ID card.
I was lucky enough to come here for a university team-building activity, and then I went there three or four times. Because the content of each exhibition was different, the most recent one was an Egyptian artifact exhibition, and I went there for the mummies. Personally, I think it’s not as good as the Guangzhou Museum!
There should be a lot of things inside, but it is closed on Mondays.
I went there on the morning of 19.7.5. There were not many things and they were under renovation. It was a pity that I didn't ask for WeChat when there was a pretty girl who came out to play with her little sister.
Oh my god, here it comes again. Didn’t I upload it once today?
Near the waist, you can play together
Behind every seemingly ordinary exhibit there are often many unknown and shocking secrets. Let's embark on a treasure hunt together.
If you go to a place, you must visit the museum there. I am very satisfied with the Guangdong Provincial Museum. The staff are very enthusiastic. The tour routes in the museum are fully arranged. The self-service explanation machine is also quite smart. Most of the exhibits have explanations. You can choose the exhibit description according to your own tour progress. I didn't take many photos of the Nile exhibits because the venue is relatively dark compared to other exhibition halls. Many uncles and aunts took photos with flash 📸️. I personally think that it will affect the preservation of historical relics... and the exhibition itself is a manifestation of self-worth. I am very satisfied that I can appreciate it.
There are really a lot of people visiting here every day. It takes more than an hour to queue up to get in. There are several exhibitions going on at the same time.
Generally, it's OK... There were fewer people when I went there...
Behind the modern entrance are cultural relics with a long history. The interior is spacious and you can follow the tour guide to learn about cultural relics that are hundreds or thousands of years old.
There are not many collections, but the dinosaur hall is good, with a wide variety of
Everyone says it's good, but when I went there, many museums were under maintenance, and there were only a few museums to visit. It was not even as good as the Tomb of the Nanyue King, and I was out in less than an hour. The staff also looked lazy!
I couldn't see the regular exhibition, but the special exhibition of export fans was very well done. The exquisite craftsmanship of many fans is really incredible.
There are many good exhibitions in different periods, where you can learn more knowledge and understand the wider world.
The Guangdong Provincial Museum and the Little Slender Waist are across the river from each other, and the architectural style is very unique. The interior of the museum is cool and simple, and looks a bit high-end.
The large gilded wood-carved shrine is very impressive to see in real life. There are many exquisite wood-carved shrines in the museum. It is recommended that you find an interpreter.
There are also many historical relics and cultural exhibits that you would never imagine. Admission is free, but you need to bring your ID card or student ID.
Suitable for people who like history and Chinese studies. Adults who can bring their children to learn about history. Swipe your ID card to get the ticket (ticket collection time 8:50-16:00)
Tickets can be booked in advance through the museum's official account. When you arrive at the site, you can pick up your tickets directly at the self-service ticket counter on the left side of the gate. Reservations for next-day visits will stop at 16:00 every day. The museum provides free Chinese explanation services at 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. every day, and you can gather at the entrance of the exhibition hall. There are many restaurants around, such as Guangzhou Restaurant and Bingsheng Restaurant, and you can also find food nearby. The museum closes at 5 o'clock, and the broadcast to invite the audience to leave will not start until 5 o'clock. The Guangdong Provincial Museum is facing the direction of the Guangzhou Tower, so you can spend the day there.
Guangdong Provincial Museum is free to visit, and there are two ways to get tickets. One is to make a reservation on the WeChat official account of Guangdong Provincial Museum, and then pick up the ticket at the automatic ticket machine next to the museum with your ID card; the other is to queue up at the door to pick up the ticket. As there will be a lot of people during the National Day, I suggest you make a reservation in advance.
At that time, the fourth floor of the museum was under repair, and I was very sorry that the collections could not be publicly displayed. However, the collections on the second and third floors alone were already dazzling. From the ancient Shu treasures to Chaozhou wood carvings, countless handicrafts and antiques all showed me the ingenious manufacturing techniques of ancient laborers and modern craftsmen. What impressed me most was the craftsmanship of Hong Kong cheongsam masters in sewing cheongsams in the late 1960s. I heard that the older generation of masters no longer made clothes often. I hope that one day I can go to Hong Kong to get a close look at the evolution of cheongsams. Every handmade cheongsam contains the master's hard work and the stories it may contain. It may not only be a piece of clothing, but the attached meaning is even more precious.
If the fourth floor of Guangdong Provincial Museum is also open to the public, I believe it will allow me to spend a whole day there. I just gave a rough introduction to the general situation. If we want to really understand it, we still need to go inside. It was already past 4 o'clock when I came out of the museum. I was still not satisfied but still had some thoughts. I will go there again next time I come to Guangzhou.
There are several theme pavilions, and the content is much richer than expected.
The Guangdong Museum is located at No. 2 Zhujiang East Road, Tianhe District, Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province, in the southern part of the central area of Zhujiang New Town, the central axis of Guangzhou's new city. It began to be planned in 1957 and officially opened to the public in 1959.
Free admission with ID card. The temporary exhibition is good, and I saw Sanxingdui culture. It's a pity that the Natural History Museum is not open, so I didn't see the treasures of the town.
The exhibition hours were not extended during the National Day, so I give a bad review. When I approached, the security guard stopped me and wouldn't let me in. I felt so resentful!
Both the exterior and interior design are very grand, but to be honest, the collection is not as rich as that of the Shanghai Museum. After a round of visits, I always felt that something was missing.
After visiting this museum, my impression is that the collections are inferior, the exhibitions are chaotic, and it is noisy inside.
As a provincial museum, it is much more beautiful than many other places.
Guangdong Museum is located at No. 2 Zhujiang East Road, Tianhe District, Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province, in the southern part of the central area of Zhujiang New Town, the central axis of Guangzhou's new city.
The old museum began to be planned in 1957 and officially opened to the public in 1959. The new museum was laid in December 2004 and completed in 2010. It covers a total area of 67,000 square meters. It is the only provincial comprehensive museum in Guangdong Province and a national first-class museum.
The Guangdong Provincial Museum's exhibitions focus on Guangdong's history and culture, art, and nature. They are divided into four parts: the History Museum, the Natural History Museum, the Art Museum, and the Temporary Exhibition Hall. As of December 2009, the Guangdong Provincial Museum's collections had reached more than 166,000 pieces (sets). In addition, the museum also has a collection of more than 100,000 books and materials.
The first batch of national research and practice education bases for primary and secondary school students.
Tickets: Free. Adults can make reservations online or exchange tickets on site with their ID cards. Children are free but must be accompanied by their parents. Closed on Mondays.
There aren't many exhibits and not many tourists, but if you come to Zhujiang New Town, it's recommended to go in and take a look if you have time. There is a good wood carving exhibition in the permanent exhibition. There are also some special exhibitions regularly.
Free of charge, ticket collection is required for admission. Reservation for next-day admission stops at 16:00 daily. To save time waiting in line for ticket collection, visitors who wish to exchange tickets with their second-generation ID cards are advised to make an appointment first and then collect their tickets for the visit.
There were a lot of people queuing outside the museum, but one person one ticket (ID card exchange for free ticket) so the queue was fast. I mainly visited the history of the development of Lingnan culture. My favorite paleontology museum was still under renovation, and there was nothing special else.
The Guangdong Provincial Museum we visited this time is a new one. It is located in a busy area and has many tourists. You can make an appointment online or exchange tickets for free on site with your ID card. It is mainly science-based and suitable for the whole family. What impressed me most was the Chaozhou wood carving, which was really ingenious. The wood carving hall is where we stayed the longest. If you haven't been there, you can go and have a look. There is a restaurant on the second floor of the exhibition hall. People who like to visit museums can stay in the hall for a whole day, but the disadvantage is that the smell of frying oil smoke from fast food spreads throughout the building, which will affect your mood to some extent during the visit.
It was already 9:40 when I entered the museum after getting the ticket with my ID card. Walking up the long slope, I felt that the museum was majestic and grand, and the appearance was solemn and elegant. I heard that the night view was also very ornamental. I will focus on Chaozhou wood carving because I listened to the explanation of the volunteer sister and was fortunate to learn about the history of Chaozhou wood carving. The various exquisite productions were magnificent, the layout of the house and the exquisite interior decoration, the difficulty of the woodcarving craftsmen blowing gold foil, etc. It was simply amazing, and I was also impressed by the volunteers' rich knowledge reserves and super language organization skills! It is recommended that you come to the museum and listen to more explanations when you have time, so that you can understand how excellent the collections displayed in the museum are, and have a deeper understanding of the history of a place. But the volunteers' explanations are divided into time and content, and everyone can choose what they want to know. The exhibition hall is considered to have been roughly finished, but it is still confused and unclear. I once again emphasize the importance of listening to the explanation! Before leaving, I admired the layout of the museum and felt that it was pleasing to the eye, clean and tidy, and the infrastructure was well built. I walked around for about four hours.
The museum is open to the public free of charge and tickets can be purchased with an ID card. Ticket issuance stops at 4pm, so if you want to go, it is recommended to go there early so that you can take your time to explore the museum. After visiting the museum, you can take the APM express line next to it to go to Guangzhou Tower.
The square in front of the museum is an excellent choice for taking photos of the Guangzhou Tower.
It lacks Guangdong characteristics and the humanistic presentation is lacking. In addition, I think some food culture aspects can be added!
Be sure to book tickets on the official website in advance! Then you can go directly to the ticket office at the west gate to pick up your tickets. The ticket office opens at 8:50. Be sure to go early during the peak season. Museums are still very important to understand a place. The Provincial Museum is very modern and has complete facilities, but it is a pity that when I went there, the entire fourth floor of the historical and cultural exhibition was not open, and it seemed that there were very few collections. The featured exhibitions include Chaozhou wood carving exhibition, Duan inkstone exhibition, landscape painting exhibition, and shipwreck porcelain exhibition, all of which are very distinctive and make up for the regret.
You can get a ticket by presenting your ID card and other valid documents. Each person can get one ticket. You must set aside more than half a day to visit the whole place. It is recommended to bring water and dry food to enjoy the place slowly. It is recommended not to go on a rest day, as the queues are too long.
Time passed quickly during the tour. I was escorted out of the museum by the staff because I refused to leave. I had to visit several more museums, including my favorite Chinese landscape painting "Decryption". So I suggest you stay for half a day or even a day to enjoy all the collections of the Guangdong Provincial Museum.
The design of the venue is not very recognizable, and there are not many fine products. There are many volunteer explanation services, mainly including Duan inkstones, Chaozhou wood carvings and ceramics. The historical exhibition is simply a folk exhibition, and the aquarium is not open (aquarium? Excuse me?)
What I personally don't like is that the venue space is not fully utilized, and the souvenir shop is set up in a small corner, and there are not enough iconic souvenirs, such as refrigerator magnets. It feels like a museum that is not well-thought-out.
Next to it is a library and a shopping mall. This location is probably a place to relax and enjoy the air conditioning after dinner.
It is recommended to make an appointment in advance, and you have to wait in line for a long time for free tickets on site. The museum is very good and the collection is very rich, but the signs between the exhibition halls are not very obvious.
This place is not very attractive to me, but the shopping guide at the door has a novel style. When I visited, I was shocked by several old objects that showed carvings. I have worshipped the ancients' superb skills many times, but when I look at them again, I still can't help but stop and sigh and praise from the bottom of my heart.
You need to queue for a while before you can get in, remember to bring your ID card. Keep your things.
I happened to catch an exhibition in the museum, it was really nice to see, it was the first time I saw the complete appearance of the traditional Chinese medicine that we usually drink.
If you have been to the new building of Chengdu Museum, you don’t need to plan to spend a lot of time here. To be honest, it’s quite average, so we just took a quick look around and left.
I went there by chance and had a lot of fun.
When I first came to Guangzhou, I unexpectedly went into a museum and learned about the history of Guangzhou.
Very enjoyable!
Unfortunately, I didn't plan my time well and only visited two halls on the third floor.
The tour guide's explanation was very moving, especially the modern history of Guangzhou!
Unforgettable
You don't need to enter the Guangdong Provincial Museum. You can get your ticket with your ID card. The museum is very large and tells a lot of knowledge about Guangdong Province. Since everyone has different interests, I won't introduce the specific order of my visit. There is a baggage storage area on the first floor. There is also a map of the entire museum. Just visit according to the map. After visiting this. If you are hungry, there are many places to eat within 1km nearby.
Monkey King inkstone, Yuan blue and white porcelain, several pieces from the Qing Dynasty official kiln
The building itself is very beautiful, and the design inside is also very interesting, very new and clean, and very comfortable to visit. I like the Folk Customs Exhibition Hall the most. It is also a veritable Guangdong Museum, with Guangdong characteristics. Although there are no particularly well-known exhibits, you can still visit it for a long time, and there are often various special exhibitions. For example, this time I went to see the Hong Kong cheongsam~ Retro and nice~
Free tickets can be redeemed with ID card.
The main purpose of the visit is parent-child activities, and the exhibits cover geology, flora and fauna, etc.
The long queue at the entrance warned us that there were too many visitors to relax. After checking in with our ID cards, we went to the Mucha exhibition and bought tickets before 4 o'clock. Unexpectedly, the exhibition hall was still crowded even in the afternoon. Because we knew Mucha well before, we didn't see the paintings from the entrance. We picked the paintings with fewer people first. It was exciting to see the exhibition in between. After all, the museum was closing at 5 o'clock, and we definitely didn't have time to see other exhibitions. Let's take a closer look at Mucha! The exhibition hall exhibited several very famous series of paintings by Mucha.
There are also many works by Czech painters on display at the same time, but as a fan of Mucha, I have to spend a lot of time with my idol. Whether it is posters, mural drafts or the later return to the academic style, they are all admirable! This exhibition is still worth seeing.
After coming out of the Mucha Museum, I quietly looked at the peripheral products. There were still 20 minutes before closing time, so I decided to quickly go to see another major exhibition of the Guangdong Provincial Museum - Russian Gold Rush. Many exhibits from the Russian State Museum were so golden that they were blinding.
Because I was in a hurry, I just appreciated the exhibition and didn't take any photos or read the text carefully. But I became more interested in Catherine the Great.
What made me happy the most was that the Guangdong Provincial Museum, which said it closed at 5 o'clock, really closed at 5 o'clock, and the announcement to invite visitors to leave was not made until 5 o'clock. It was really great! If it was at the National Museum, the venue would be cleared before 4:30, so it was a good thing that there was an extra half hour, and I could see more things.
Apart from anything else, the location of the Guangdong Provincial Museum is really good, facing the direction of the Guangzhou Tower.
It is mainly divided into the History Museum, the Natural History Museum, the Art Museum and the Temporary Exhibition Hall.
The design of the museum's exterior is inspired by China's intricately crafted traditional treasure boxes, symbolizing the historical traditions, wisdom and culture accumulated over the years.
The museum has a glass skylight on the top, and the sun shines in in the afternoon. I really like the feeling of light and shadow. The museum has a multi-layered sense of space and transparency.
Guangdong Provincial Museum is free but not ticket-free. There is a ticket office on the right side of the main entrance. Tickets can be collected with valid ID (ticket collection time is 8:50-16:00)
If it is a holiday, you need to wait in line to get the ticket. I waited for about ten minutes, which is relatively fast.
In fact, you can book tickets in advance through the museum's official account (limited to 1,000 tickets, not available on the day), and pick up your tickets at the self-service ticket counter on the left side of the gate when you arrive.
The museum provides free Chinese tour guide services at 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. every day. You can gather at the entrance of the exhibition hall.
The staircases here are well designed, and it feels like a movie set. The museum often holds exhibitions, and information about the exhibitions can be found on the official website. The animal specimens here are very lifelike, and some are even a little scary. After visiting the museum, you can also go shopping in Huacheng Square, where there are also cinemas and food. It is a good place for leisure and entertainment.
I started visiting the museum at 12 noon and continued until 4:30, but I hadn't finished yet. The museum reminded me of the closing time, so I had to leave with regret.
Guangdong Province has a wide variety of daily necessities, from firewood, rice, oil, salt, sauce, vinegar and tea to music, chess, calligraphy, painting, poetry, wine and flowers. What shocked me even more was that there was even Pai Gow. It seems that Guangdong people still attach great importance to this kind of entertainment activity~
There is also a foreign dog that Emperor Yongzheng loved very much. When I think about the novel I read before, I could always see various plots that had to be said between Yinzhen and the heroine due to his love for dogs. I think it can be based on history.
The Guangdong Provincial Museum is very large and has many exhibits. Some of the exhibits are newly built. The exhibits inside can give you a taste of Lingnan culture. There are also many dinosaur fossils, porcelain, plants, gems, etc., which are divided into many exhibition areas. Tickets are free and can be obtained with an ID card, so it is worth a visit.
It was already past 11 o'clock when we arrived at the museum, and there weren't many people at the museum on weekends. The dinosaur fossils in the Fossil Hall were very large, and the dinosaur's head and neck extended directly to the second floor.
There are dinosaur fossils, it's eye-opening...
You can take the subway or bus to the Guangdong Provincial Museum. Get off at the [Zhujiang New Town] station. Walk 1 km from the station. We chose the bus and got off at the museum. The place to get off should be behind the museum. There is a sign indicating the entrance direction. I went around the main entrance and saw many people queuing up to get tickets. There were many people but the speed was not slow. I got the ticket with my ID card and entered the venue in a short while, or I made an appointment on the official website in advance. It is closed on Mondays. Next to the museum is the Guangzhou Library, which has a very special shape. The exhibitions of the Guangdong Provincial Museum are mainly based on Guangdong's history, culture, art, and nature. It is divided into four parts: the History Museum, the Natural Museum, the Art Museum, and the Temporary Exhibition Hall. There are many children visiting. We mainly looked at the history and culture of Guangzhou and learned about the historical and cultural changes of Guangdong from Maba people to the founding of New China. When we met the tour guide, we listened to the explanation and learned a lot.
Guangdong Provincial Museum is located in Zhujiang New Town. You don't need to buy tickets or make reservations. You can get tickets with your ID card. We watched the regular exhibition about Guangdong history. The art museum called "Musha" that I wanted to see was closed at 16:30, so I missed it. But I bought a beautiful Mucha phone case as a souvenir. Guangdong Provincial Museum has a magnificent appearance and the interior decoration is also very grand. There is a fast food restaurant on the second floor. The price is relatively cheap, so there are many people. I didn't see any cleaners cleaning, so there is a lot of garbage on the table and on the ground. There is a cafe on the first floor. The price is a little more expensive, the food is smaller, but it is quiet and less crowded.
The Guangdong Provincial Museum does not have many collections of its own, and basically relies on exhibitions to invite famous objects from other museums to the Provincial Museum for exhibition. The Judicial Bureau is also quite large and it takes a lot of time to visit.
I have been to several museums and I think the Guangdong Provincial Museum is more beautiful than the exhibits. The library building next to it is also very beautiful, and you can see the waist. If you want to see more historical exhibits, you have to go to the north of the Central Plains. On the third day of the Chinese New Year, I went quite early. There were not many people on the road. I swiped my ID card to get the ticket. There was a tour at 10:30, but the volunteer girl who gave the tour wanted to be comprehensive but had no focus. The first part was just finished in an hour. There is no treasure in the town, but it is quite interesting to see the comic exhibition. The interactive part is very attractive to children. It is a pity that there are no distinctive souvenirs, no stickers, no tapes, and no erasers. The restaurant on the second floor has boxed lunches, which taste OK and are suitable for replenishing energy. If you are not interested in blue and white porcelain and inkstones, you can go directly to the third floor to see the natural resources and historical culture section, which is more mature.
Guangdong Provincial Museum is located in Zhujiang New Town, Tianhe District, Guangzhou. You have to queue up to enter this museum. In order to enter directly without a long queue, it is recommended to make an appointment in advance. This museum does not have a treasure selection, because Guangdong Province's economy and culture could not catch up with the mainland before the Yuan Dynasty, so there are few fine cultural relics before the Yuan Dynasty. I have selected 12 of the best collections that I personally think are posted here. I feel that there are not as many precious cultural relics here as in Anhui Museum. If it is based on the standards of provincial museums, it can only be considered very average.
Stop 114: Guangdong Museum in Guangzhou. AAAAA, free admission. The museum's "three carvings, one color, and one embroidery" (wood carving, ivory carving, jade carving, Guangdong colored porcelain, Guangdong embroidery) and export paintings, export silverware, export fans and other export art collections are among the best in terms of quantity and quality among the domestic museums I have visited. This time I happened to encounter Mucha's special exhibition, which was also a great way to make this trip.
I went to the Guangdong Provincial Museum in the afternoon. It is indeed worth a visit. It’s a pity that my phone ran out of battery, so I didn’t get to take pictures in several of the exhibition halls. I especially liked the History Hall, and the Natural Resources Hall was also very good.
It is a large museum under the Guangzhou Tower. The general history section is very unique, and is displayed according to themes rather than the traditional timeline. Many of the treasures of the museum are hidden in the corners and are very low-key. The theme exhibitions of wood carvings and porcelain are also very exciting. There are many cultural and creative products, and the prices are slightly higher.
Before I went to the Guangdong Provincial Museum, I thought there was nothing to see, after all, it doesn’t have a long history, but after I got there, I found out that I was totally wrong! Because although the Guangdong Provincial Museum does not collect those cultural relics dug out of the earth, it can’t resist the local tyrants!
Due to abundant funds, various exhibitions and special exhibitions are often held.
The collections themselves can definitely be described as magnificent and pleasing to the eye. Since Guangdong has been China's foreign trade center since the Qing Dynasty, a large number of China's best craftsmen and local tyrants have emerged, resulting in a large number of extremely exquisite folk handicrafts, especially Chaozhou wood carvings, export porcelain, export fans, export ivory products, etc.
The Chaozhou Woodcarving Exhibition Hall houses the best gold-lacquered woodcarvings in the country, which are better, more numerous, and more exquisite than those in the Fujian Museum. I love them so much that I can’t walk away.
The general history exhibition hall has become very rich in the modern history section. A large number of characters and events that appear in textbooks can be seen here, which will feel particularly familiar.
Therefore, Guangdong Provincial Museum is very worth visiting.
Guangdong Provincial Museum is located in Zhujiang New Town, which is the central axis of New Guangzhou. The architectural design is special, like a big treasure box with various indentations. We visited it during the first year of free opening. The museum is divided into four parts: History Museum, Natural History Museum, Art Museum and Temporary Exhibition Hall, among which there are many exhibitions introducing Lingnan culture.
The Guangdong Provincial Museum exhibits Guangdong's history and culture, art, and nature as the three main exhibition directions, and is divided into four parts: the History Hall, the Nature Hall, the Art Hall, and the Temporary Exhibition Hall. The museum is very large, with 4 to 5 floors, and there are 10 exhibition halls, which introduce folk customs, woodblock printing, ceramics, calligraphy and painting, and landscape paintings. There is a history hall and a nature hall on the upper floor, which are the two largest exhibition halls. The layout inside is great, and the introduction is very detailed. In fact, you can spend a day here. The museum's cultural relics will have so much information, and the cultural relics have ID cards.
The appearance is very attractive. There are different exhibitions every time I go there, which is a place to learn knowledge. However, there are many naughty children on weekends and it is a bit noisy.
The Guangdong Provincial Museum's exhibitions focus on Guangdong's history and culture, art, and nature. They are divided into four parts: the History Museum, the Nature Museum, the Art Museum, and the Temporary Exhibition Hall. As of December 2009, the Guangdong Provincial Museum has more than 166,000 pieces (sets) of collections. In addition, the museum also has a collection of more than 100,000 books and materials. Haixinsha is nearby, and you can see the waistline~
Guangdong Provincial Museum used to be very convenient, with subways, BRT, buses, etc. In the bustling city, in front of high-rise buildings and "small waist", the museum looks like a short winter melon, very ordinary, but it gives people a refreshing feeling in its ordinariness, showing a unique charm in its gray solemn appearance. Both locals and outsiders can enter. There are always four floors here. On the first floor, there are cabinets that can be set with their own passwords.
