For those who grew up in the city, it is a place to relax in Guangzhou and experience a bit of the countryside. You can see the scenery, buy some small things, and eat some desserts. The prices are cheaper than in the city. The First Pass Museum of Guangdong Sea is free to enter without an ID card. The waiting conditions at the bus station in Gugang are chaotic and need to be improved.

During afternoon tea time, we came to a place full of Guangzhou style with many boats and antiques. We took a lot of photos and ate a lot of delicious food. I recommend "Gugang Naipo Ginger Milk" 👍👍👍

On the way back, I visited an original postcard shop, wrote a few and sent them back to my friends in Taiwan. I would also send one to myself every time to end the day.

After having lunch at Shiguoyu, we walked around the commercial street of Huangpu Village to digest the food. The streets here felt relatively quiet during the lunch hour on weekdays. When we turned the corner of the street, we found a Taoist temple called "Yuxu Palace", so we went in to have a look. The temple was relatively clean and quiet with almost no one inside. However, we were not familiar with Taoist culture, so we just took a quick look and left!

The nearest subway entrance to Huangpu Ancient Port is Wanshengwei. We took 229 from Pazhou Village Bus Station (it only takes five or six minutes from the subway station to the bus station, but we almost got lost) to Pazhouji~ (I forgot, it is the terminal). I was a little shocked when I got off the bus, because this is a typical ancient village with semi-ecological development, which is very similar to the markets in my hometown. There are all kinds of small vendors selling vegetables, fruits and other things, and there are people along the way. What impressed me most was the flower wine and fruit wine there. I drank peach wine for the first time, which was not very expensive. A bottle + a pound of wine cost about 50. There were more beef offal and fish balls along the way. We went straight to Nai Po~~ (I forgot again). The ginger milk in it was delicious, which was the signature. We were worried that we would eat too much, so we didn’t order much. Each person spent about 10rmb. When we went out, we bought all kinds of sour radishes, cucumbers, etc. Because of the small vendors, we kept looking for a place to sit. The weather was a bit hot. The ancient plank road is where we sat the longest. There is a monument there, so we took all kinds of photos. Well, we couldn't help eating mangoes there~~ (I forgot again), and then we started another crazy walk. It's actually quite big there, and we walked for almost a whole day to visit the whole place. There are a lot of cultural and creative products, and I bought a lot of them. It feels good to walk, stop and look. At the end, we went to eat again, and then left reluctantly.

After leaving the Whampoa Military Academy, we arrived at the Huangpu Ancient Port in the evening. The Whampoa Military Academy is in Haizhu District, and the Huangpu Ancient Port is in Huangpu District. Although both have the word Huangpu in their names, they are not closely related.

Huangpu Ancient Port is a place I discovered by chance, but it was a pleasant surprise. It is a combination of ancient buildings and snack streets, but it has not been overdeveloped. The atmosphere of the entire port village is very simple, and the mottled light of the sunset shines on the ancient buildings in the streets. Huangpu Ancient Port has many snacks to eat, such as ginger milk, double skin milk, pig's feet ginger, fish skin, and the fruits here, such as carambolas, strawberries, guavas, and bananas, are all fresh fruits produced locally.

The milky taste of Grandma's double skin milk has disappeared, the public toilet in the scenic area has been demolished and replaced with a temporary public toilet with extremely poor hygiene... Prices have increased, but the environment has deteriorated, it is a huge step backwards.

I went there a few years ago and personally think that the best Guangzhou snacks I have ever tasted are all in Huangpu Ancient Port, such as ginger milk. But I have never tasted such a flavor since then, even in the famous dessert shops in Macau.

I think the most interesting things in Gugang Village are the eaves.

The gray bricks have a little bit of red tile color, and the carvings are also exquisite, full of southern flavor.

The cultural village is quite noisy, with renovations going on everywhere. There is nothing worth visiting and nothing worth stopping for.

The temple was quiet when I went there. Ancestral Hall Street is the most distinctive and culturally intact place in Huangpu Ancient Port. Every clan has an ancestral hall. Most of them are now closed, and a few are used to create a cultural atmosphere. Many of the ancestral halls I visited before are now closed. It's a pity.

Each ancestral hall has its own characteristics. I value the alternation of the old and the new. I don’t want the development of the city to replace the tradition and cultural history. We should carefully preserve and cherish these material cultures.

Huangpu Ancient Port is a very unique place. You can eat ginger milk, double skin milk, radish beef brisket, pot cake, pick strawberries and carambolas. There are many small shops and they are quite artistic. It is suitable for artistic youth like us. There is a kind of tranquility at night. The ancient port ushers in the end of a busy day. The ancient fragrance sleeping in the night is the most touching.

What the heart desires... Compared with the hustle and bustle, I love the small world of two people alone, without disturbing and without being disturbed

Several mistakes in selection made the road to Gugang very tortuous. It was already dusk when we finally arrived at the ancient village that seemed like a paradise on earth.

It's not fun, there's nothing to do. It can't be called a tourist attraction.

1. There are no ancient buildings, only residential buildings

3. It is just an ordinary village, with a small river in the village and the old stone road. There are residential buildings next to it, nothing to see.

I looked for the attractions online and came here specially, but was greatly disappointed.

There are warships staying at the port for tourists to visit. The port not far from the former site of the Whampoa Military Academy is also a tourist attraction.

The place is not big, a village with maritime historical relics about the Silk Road. There are some ancestral halls in Huangpu Village that are open for free, you can go in and see the construction structure and so on. There are more people on Saturdays and Sundays. There are two larger stores in Gugang, Jiangpo Zhuan Nai, and the one next to Maoji Boat Porridge can be tried.

Huangpu Ancient Port is located in Huangpu Village, Haizhu District. It witnessed the prosperity of Guangzhou's "Maritime Silk Road". We went there in 2010. I wonder if there are any changes now. It is good to visit the ancient sites, enjoy the scenery, and taste the food. I remember that Nai Po Jiang Zha Milk is delicious, and Mao Ji Boat Porridge is also good, but the dining environment is a bit worse.

The overall environment is in ancient style, especially the newly built small buildings are in ancient style, which is quite appealing. But the road is quite narrow after you walk in (about 900 meters).

The old atmosphere is still there, but you can still go.

Transportation: Get off at Wanshengwei, the last stop of Metro Line 8, and then ride a Mobike or take the bus.

Attractions: Huangpu Ancient Port has now evolved into a small village. Actually, there is nothing interesting here. The attractions are nothing more than the memorial hall, where you can learn about the history of the ancient port and the history of the Maritime Silk Road, and the three major ancestral temples of the Liang, Feng and Hu surnames. I came here specifically to find food!!!

Food: I highly recommend Mao Ji Boat Porridge, Nai Po Ginger Milk and Gugang Dessert Shop.



Mao Ji Boat Porridge: Must-order [Boat Porridge] 6 yuan/bowl, with lots of ingredients and thick porridge, typical old Xiguan flavor; [Fried Clams] 20 yuan/portion, it is really big and the portion is enough and cost-effective; [Cold Fish Skin] is appetizing, refreshing and on point.



Milk Milk with Ginger: [Ginger Milk] A bowl of ginger juice is served first, and the waiter will come up to mix the milk later. It can be eaten after 1 minute. It melts in the mouth and has a strong milk flavor but not too strong ginger flavor. Even people like me who don't like ginger can accept it. [Cow Colostrum] It has a bit of a fishy smell, haha, the taste is not as smooth as ginger milk, but it is quite thick.



Gugang Sweet Water Shop: This is a mango-themed sweet water shop. The shop is very conspicuous with numerous large mangoes and the shop is decorated with the image of a Southern TV star.

As the background. There is also a homemade fairy air at the door, which is very atmospheric. I ordered a cup of mango shaved ice for two people, which is a big portion. The point is that this shaved ice is really the best I have ever eaten! The mango flesh is big and sweet, and the ice is soft and cottony. There are countless sunflowers in the store, and this song is playing, which is very atmospheric. And there are chargers at every seat. If you are tired of walking, you might as well come to this store to do it. Highly recommended!

It's a nostalgic place. There is a creative park nearby, but the transportation is not very convenient. The nearest subway station is Wanshengwei Station on Line 4 and 8. It's more than 1 kilometer away from the subway. If you don't want to walk so much, you can transfer to bus No. 229 or Travel Line 3

There are many buses parked at Wanshengwei subway station waiting to pick up passengers, taking them to Huangpu Ancient Village or Ancient Port, which gives people a feeling of cheating. Take 229 through some small roads and you can reach Ancient Port Park in about a week. Well, there is really nothing there. It is worth taking a look at the memorial hall to understand the history of the ancient port and the history of the Maritime Silk Road. The ancient port has long disappeared.

As for the so-called Huangpu Ancient Village, it is just a run-down village, rotten, dirty and dilapidated. There are not many ancient buildings. Seeing this dilapidated scene, I don’t want to stay there any longer.

It's an old place. If you like it, you will like it very much. If you don't like it, you will feel bored. At least for me, this is a good place!

I rode an OFO bike through Huangpu Ancient Port. Opposite the ancient port is a fruit orchard. Carambolas are ripe this season and are very affordable when picked right away, about 3 yuan per pound. Guavas are 4 yuan per pound. As for bananas, they are even cheaper. I enjoyed the rare tranquility.

Shiji Village is where the Huangpu Ancient Port is located. I didn't see any ancient monuments. There are many people playing here, or to be more precise, many people looking for food there. There is an ancestral hall street in the Huangpu Village next door, and the ancient houses are all wok-ear houses in Lingnan style.

I planned to take the sightseeing bus to Huangpu Ancient Port. I heard that this double-decker sightseeing bus is usually used by many people. I went to the terminal and there were not many people. There were only about ten people along the way. It might be because of the off-season and the university was on vacation again.

Ancient Port is located in Shiji Village, Pazhou Street, Xingang East Road, Haizhu District. Take Exit B of Metro Line 8. There is a bus stop nearby. There are two or three buses that can reach Pazhou Shiji Village Terminal (Huangpu Ancient Port Station). If you see the tourist line 3, just get on the bus. We arrived at Gugang Station. After getting off the train, we could see tall buildings in the distance. The sun was shining brightly, and the flavor of Gugang remained the same, with both tranquility and noise. We followed the crowd into the village, and there were some small restaurants on both sides of the road. From the base of Guangzhou Tower, you can take a tram to a relatively remote place. In fact, you can also take the subway to Wanshengwei, but the tram along the river is more interesting! Get off and walk or take the bus to Huangpu Ancient Port. Huangpu Ancient Port is a typical ancient village with a small museum and pier, and then there are boutiques and restaurants.

Overall it's OK. There are some historical introductions and exhibits in the first checkpoint of Yuehai. The food is good. There are many people queuing for Maoji Boat Porridge. The boat porridge is delicious. The alley where Maoji Boat Porridge is located is full of food. There is a good osmanthus coconut cake. There are many crafts in Huangpu Ancient Port, such as sugar painting and peanut candy.

The museum is closed on Mondays, so please read the instructions carefully. I went there today, Monday, and didn't see inside. It is worth a visit for those who have a historical sentiment, to learn about history and see the historical scenes. Although there is no truth in history, only results, the Whampoa Military Academy is a great school that laid a solid foundation for China's revolution and trained many outstanding officers and heroes for the Kuomintang and the Communist Party!

It feels a bit similar to Xiaozhou Village, with many ancestral halls. It seems that the catering industry mainly attracts tourists. The architectural style is basically similar to most villages in Guangdong. Most of the restaurants in Huangpu Ancient Port are double-skin milk and ginger milk shops, followed by boat porridge shops. The price is generally less than 10 yuan per serving. Take subway line 5 or 4, get off at Wanshengwei, transfer to 229 or tourist line 3 to the terminal. You can ride a bicycle from University Town to Huangpu and then take a boat. It is a great place to go on weekends.

Later, when I reached the fork in the road, I chose to go left, reached a small bridge, and came to the entrance of Huangpu Ancient Village - Fengpu. I came in the afternoon, and there were all kinds of snacks around. I walked and stopped, and visited the Huangpu Ancient Village Humanities and History Exhibition in the Liang Clan Ancestral Hall, which told the history of the ancient village, the process of trade with foreign countries, the celebrities, architectural features, etc., which was quite vivid. Later, I walked inside, there were antique buildings and modern renovated commercial streets, many specialty shops, and girls wearing cheongsams taking pictures. Very distinctive Qing Dynasty buildings, very suitable for taking pictures. But the public toilets are not well maintained and a little dirty. I came out and ate the signature ginger milk and cold fish skin at the Naipo Restaurant, which were full of praise, and ate boat porridge on the roadside. Later, when I came out, I found that there was a lot of things on the other side of the fork in the road, which was the place leading to the ruins of the ancient port, where most of the attractions were located, and Maoji Boat Porridge was also there~ It gave me a reason to go there again next time.

Huangpu Ancient Port is indeed worth a visit. I always invite three or five close friends to ride bicycles there together. It is troublesome to take a bus by yourself. You can take the subway to Wanshengwei Station and then transfer to the bus. Huangpu Ancient Port does not require tickets. It is a must-have for students and couples to have leisure and entertainment. There are many river dried goods, maltose, etc. in the local area. As for food, Nai Po Double Skin Milk is more famous, and it is indeed delicious. There is also Maoji Boat Porridge, which is cheap and uses enough ingredients. It is very cost-effective.
