From Guangzhou Tower, take the light rail or sightseeing bus No. 1 to Wanshengwei Station, then change to No. 262 to the terminus, Xinzhou Terminal, where you can take the ferry to the Military Academy Pier on the other side.

There is no ticket. You can get a ticket to enter the Yihui class. The boat to the Whampoa Military Academy costs two yuan. You can pay with a coin or use the Yangcheng Pass. It seems to run once an hour, but it doesn't take that long on holidays. The boat will arrive in a few minutes. You must go to the Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall to get a ticket first. There are three scenic spots that can be seen by one person. The Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall is the former site of the Whampoa Military Academy, and the other is a very tall inscription engraved with Sun Yat-sen's words. It's very nice to see. The tour time is about two hours. There are many things to see in the military academy, mostly restored classrooms and dormitories. There are green bean ice cream, military caps, snacks, etc. for sale at the door. It is still very valuable.

I think it is more convenient to go from Yuzhu Wharf. After getting off the subway, you can ride a bicycle to the wharf in 3 minutes! The boat departure time in the picture is for your reference. The boat from Yuzhu to the Military Academy departs 15 minutes after 12 o'clock, such as 8:15 or 9:15. Pay attention to the time to avoid waiting too long.

It's suitable for bringing children to learn some historical knowledge, but there's nothing else to see.

Strictly speaking, there is not much to see in Guangzhou during the day, but the night view is nice, especially the buildings along the Pearl River, the Little Slender Waist, etc. It is nice to have a midnight snack or drink in Liuhua Park at night.

The former site of the Whampoa Military Academy is located on Changzhou Island in Huangpu District, Guangzhou. Although it is far from the city, the transportation is still good and there are buses to get there. This is the result of the cooperation between the Kuomintang and the Communist Party. It has an important historical position in modern Chinese history. Too many outstanding generals came from Huangpu. It is worth a visit.

The sailing time from Yuzhu Port to Huangpu Military Academy is 15 minutes per hour.

The former site of the Whampoa Military Academy is on Changzhou Island. It costs 2 yuan to take a boat from Yuzhu Wharf. Finally I got to see the Whampoa Military Academy. It's so close to me, no more than 45 minutes away from my home (much closer than my company)! But I've never been there before! Today I finally got to see it!

There are quite a lot of people on Saturdays. When visiting the main campus, it can be described as crowded. So if time permits, it is recommended not to visit on weekends! What's more, there are too many things to see and learn here, and the noisy situation really hinders the normal fluctuation of thinking~

I personally think that the Huangpu Military Academy Headquarters is particularly worth visiting. Historical pictures, texts, and some cultural relics are all available in every museum. My favorite is the rooms that have been preserved in their original appearance. I can vaguely feel the life of the military academy students (but I didn't take a photo of this, I must go and see it in person!), as well as the brilliance and mental journey of many people of lofty ideals in that era! If you want to visit it seriously, it will take at least half a day. Therefore, it is recommended to hire a tour guide (or stick to other groups to listen to the tour guide's explanation), which is easier to remember. After all, many details cannot be seen by yourself, and someone must be there to "point out" them, just like some interesting tidbits, which make historical figures instantly flesh and blood!
