(2) Material preparation: The dining spots in the scenic area are concentrated at the foot of the mountain. There are few supply spots on the mountain and the prices are slightly higher. It is necessary to bring enough water and some snacks, such as chocolate, beef jerky, etc., to replenish your energy. At the same time, prepare sunscreen, sunglasses, sun hats and other sun protection products, as well as floral water, mosquito repellent and other insect repellents.

(3) In the early morning, the air is good and there are fewer tourists, making it easier to enjoy the scenery and take photos. In the afternoon, the waterfall is backlit, so the photo effect is poor.

(4) The 9,999-level hiking trail at Baishuizhai is known as the "First Ladder in Southern China". It is divided into six sections: "Seeking Immortality, Enjoying the Scenery, Knowing the Difficulties, Viewing the Sights, Warriors and Climbing the Peak". The details of each section are as follows:

①Xunxian Ladder: from 1 to 399 steps, the main attractions include Shimalong Wetland Park (under construction), Jinghu Lake, Tiannan First Ladder, Shouguitan, Echo Wall, Huixian Bridge;

②Yijing Ladder: Located between the 399th and 1299th steps, the scenic spots include the Beautiful Cloud Forest, Listening to the Stream, the Turtle Valley, and the Spring and Summer Snow.

③ Zhinan Ladder: Between the 1299th and 2099th steps, there are scenic spots such as the waterfall platform, the soaring white dragon, and the sound of the spring.

④Lansheng Elevator: It covers 2099 to 5599 steps. The main attractions include Zhidian Jiangshan, Songlin Niaoyu, Xianmu Pavilion, Muyun Pavilion, Xianyuan Park, and Xianyuan Cave.

⑤ Warrior Ladder: from 5599 to 8999 steps, the main attractions are Baishuizhai Tianchi and Guantian Terrace;

⑥ Peak ladder: located between level 8999 and level 9999, with the main attractions including Jiuchongtian, Qixian Lake, and Donglin Temple (to be built);

①1299-level waterfall viewing platform: This is the first "forest yoga classroom" in China. It is covered with green grass and surrounded by lush trees. The White Narcissus Waterfall is flowing down behind you. You can watch yoga classes for free, refer to yoga exercises, and stretch your muscles;

②1499-level waterfall platform: You can feel the waterfall splash at close range on the first level. The sound of water hitting the rocks is deafening, and it is one of the best photo spots;

③3299-level waterfall bathing platform: It is the third closest waterfall site, where you can feel the waterfall rushing down from the top of the mountain up close, bathe your body and mind, and enjoy the largest waterfall in mainland China with a drop of 428.5 meters.

The scenery is beautiful and the air is negative oxygen. Because of limited time, we waited until 4999 to get down the mountain.

The ticket price is 60 yuan per person, with a 20% discount during the Spring Festival holiday. There are discounted tickets for the elderly, students and children, and the parking fee is 10 yuan.

After visiting the entire scenic area and climbing to Level 4099, it took four hours to go back and forth, which was quite tiring. There are no restaurants on the mountain, so it is best to go there early in the morning to finish the climb and go out for dinner.

I went there during the Chinese New Year. There were so many people. I was breathing in second-hand smoke, carbon dioxide emitted by others, and the smell of sweat and bad breath. The scenery was not particularly amazing, it can be said to be average. I don't recommend going there at all.

We arrived at the entrance of the scenic area at around 1:00 p.m., and it took us almost two hours to walk two-thirds of the way to the top of the mountain, which was more than 5,000 steps. We did not continue to climb the rest of the way.

A must-go destination for a day trip in Guangzhou. The road conditions are great, self-driving is recommended. However, there are too many tourists during holidays, and you have to queue up to get on and off the wooden plank road, and there is little space for taking photos. As for the scenery, there is nothing to see except the waterfall. It is worth a visit if you have not been there.

Baishui Village is known as the "magnificent emerald on the Tropic of Cancer". It has high mountains and dense forests, fresh air, and abundant rainfall, which has created the largest waterfall in mainland China with a drop of 428.5 meters. It is said to be the incarnation of He Xiangu, one of the Eight Immortals. There is the only waterfront plank road built with sea ship wood in the country and the longest hiking trail in Guangdong, "The First Ladder in the South of the Sky". The concentration of negative ions in the air in the mountain forest waterfall area reaches 112,500/cubic centimeter, making it a veritable natural oxygen bar. It spans three high mountains and connects two large Tianchi. It is 6.6 kilometers long and has a total of 9,999 stone steps.



The ticket to the scenic spot is 60 yuan per person. After buying the ticket, the vehicle can drive directly to the parking lot inside.

Before entering the gate of the scenic area, there is a stone slab water road carefully set up, so that we can enter the water play warm-up mode in advance. There is a clear water lake at the foot of the mountain. The area is not large but the scenery is very beautiful. While taking my daughter to see the scenery, I taught her to distinguish the reflections of the blue sky and white clouds. The scenic area is very suitable for parent-child travel, and many children's elements can be seen along the way.

We walked along the creek all the way to the hiking trail, surrounded by green trees. From time to time, a stream would come out. We could sit on the rocks in the stream and play with water. My daughter was very excited. When we approached the interesting valley, some painted stones appeared one after another, with many small animals carved on them.

We continued walking along the waterfront trail. The air in the valley was fresh, the surrounding scenery was constantly changing, and we didn't feel tired. The waterfront trail was close to the stream and pointed to the depths of the valley. There were green shades along the way. I took my daughter to walk leisurely on the waterfront trail under the waterfall, approaching the fairy waterfall naturally and feeling relaxed. At Huixian Bridge, we could see the panoramic view of the waterfall. We caught many streams along the way. I didn't expect that we could see the trail and the stream from different angles on the way down the mountain. It was a different scenery, and we didn't feel particularly boring along the way.

To be fair, Baishuizhai's pure natural scenery is not superior to some super-famous scenic spots in China. The lake is not as colorful as Jiuzhaigou, and the waterfall is not as magnificent as Huangguoshu. But it is more fresh and natural, suitable for all seasons, and suitable for parent-child travel. And because the plank road and parent-child projects are very well developed and not affected by the season, it is very suitable for parent-child travel. At present, the ticket price is moderate, there are not many tourists, and it will not feel crowded to play in the water with children. Friends in Guangdong or surrounding areas can bring their babies to experience nature every month or every quarter, play in the water and climb mountains together, and enhance parent-child relationships.

Tips for playing:

1. The water flow of Baishuizhai Waterfall will be controlled from 4:00 p.m., so it is recommended to enter the park before 3:00 p.m.

2. The Baishuizhai trail is built beside waterfalls and streams. It is relatively slippery and the waterfall has a large flow of water. It is recommended that adults and children wear non-slip shoes. Do not stay when you see the fast pass sign to avoid accidents.

3. There are many steps between the shops on Baishuizhai Mountain. It is recommended to prepare some drinking water before climbing to avoid dehydration.

4. Children must pay attention to safety when playing in the water to avoid getting hurt and slipping.

It is recommended to prepare wound disinfectants to prevent injuries while hiking and playing in the water.

5. There is sufficient shade in the scenic area, so simple sun protection is sufficient and there is no need to be fully armed.

6. Purchase your ticket at the visitor center at the entrance, then park inside the park. Parking is free within the park.

It is worth a visit. If you are not in Zengcheng, it is recommended to spend two days. On the first day, go to Zengcheng city to play and stay overnight, or go to Baishuizhai one night in advance and stay nearby, and go up the mountain early on the second day. This way, you will have enough time to go up to Hexiangu Lake or the higher 9999 level. If you are traveling with a group, you basically have no time to go up to Hexiangu Lake. The shuttle bus from the park to Hexiangu Lake has stopped operating and you can only walk up by yourself.

It's just so-so, not very spectacular. A lot of the water is pumped up, so friends who go there should be prepared to climb the mountain.

Going to Baishuizhai Scenic Area in Zengcheng was not originally on my itinerary for my trip to Guangzhou. However, I didn't buy the train ticket to Zhuhai in time, so I decided to go to Baishuizhai. Since I drove by myself and drove smoothly on the highway from downtown Guangzhou, it took about an hour and a half to get there.



The main thing in Baishui Village is the waterfall. Looking at the waterfall from the entrance of the scenic area, you will feel the momentum of a waterfall falling three thousand feet. If you want to see the waterfall more closely, you can follow the hiking trail in the scenic area and climb up the steps. There are 9999 steps, which is known as the first ladder in the south of the sky. There are waterfall viewing platforms at the 1499, 2199, 3299, and 4099 steps. When we went there, it was lunch time and the sun was shining brightly. Fortunately, we brought enough water. Mountaineering is really not my strong point. I tried very hard but could not go up to the 1499 step. I feel that I have not climbed so many stairs this year. It is still relatively cool on the mountain, the mountain spring water is very cold, and it is quite relaxing to blow the wind. In fact, there is no scenery after the 4099 steps. It will take about five or six hours to climb the whole way.



The ticket is 60 yuan. We bought the ticket on Dianping.com first. Because we bought the ticket on the day, it was the same price as buying it on site. After arriving, we exchanged a ticket voucher at one of the windows at the ticket office at the entrance and then exchanged it for a paper ticket at the window next to it. There are quite a lot of ticket windows, but it seems that there are not many tourists in July, probably because the weather is too hot. In fact, the main purpose is to climb mountains and get close to nature.

A summer resort and a natural oxygen bar, the negative ion content in the air ranks first among scenic spots in Guangdong. It has the largest waterfall in China, four waterfall viewing platforms, and the 9,999-step "First Ladder in Southern China". You can walk along the waterfront plank road and feel the coolness of the mountains up close during the hot summer.

We arrived at 11:30 on Sunday. The weather was very hot. We officially entered the park at 11:50. There were a lot of people. We went up along the waterfront plank road all the way. We kept rushing in the middle because we were afraid that we would not have enough time. We stopped at the viewing points and places with good locations to take a few photos. The waterfall was very beautiful. We climbed to 3099 in one breath. It took about an hour. We rested for ten minutes. We felt a little hungry, so we ate some dry food. Then we reached 4099 in 20 minutes to see the Tianchi. The wind on the top of the mountain was relatively cool. We rested for ten minutes to replenish our energy. It was very comfortable. Then we continued to go up. There were very few people after 4099. The scenery was average. There were only steps. It took about 50 minutes to reach the top of the mountain. Then there was a section of gentle steps on the top of the mountain. We kept going down the steps at the back. Our legs were weak from climbing. It took a total of two hours and fifty minutes to reach the end point 9999. There was only a sign standing at the end point 9999 without any signs or staff. Then we returned, followed the cement road to Tianchi and then went down the mountain. It was raining heavily when we returned. Fortunately, we brought an umbrella. When we watched the waterfall again, it was surrounded by clouds and mist. It was very charming. It was a fairyland on earth and worth a visit.

I climbed to level 9999, it took 2 hours and 50 minutes to climb up the mountain, and 1 hour and 40 minutes to return. I didn't rest on the way back, and only rested twice in the middle of the climb. My legs were weak from climbing, and it was very physically demanding. The weather was very hot, and I was sweating all the way, and my clothes were almost soaked. I needed to prepare more water and food to replenish my physical strength. I carried five bottles of water and drank them all, including two bottles of Dongpeng Special Drink. I brought three pieces of chocolate and ate two of them, plus some bread and the like. If you just want to see the scenery, you can climb to level 4099. There is nothing to see behind, only steps. It is suitable for mountaineering enthusiasts. You must bring enough water in the hot summer. The waterfall is beautiful. Everyone is welcome to come and see it. . .

The surrounding environment is still very good, with beautiful mountains and clear waters, and the temperament of dragon veins. The air on the mountain is very good, and climbing to 4099 should be no problem

Starting from Tianhe District in Guangzhou, I first took the subway to University Town to meet up with my friend who was driving, and then drove to the Baishuizhai ticket office, which took more than two hours.

Tips: The ticket price is 60 yuan/person, it is said that it is 45 yuan/person if you buy it online, and the parking fee is 10 yuan extra.

The scenery is really nice, going up along the stream. But the weather was too hot so we didn't climb to the top of the mountain!

Friends who want to go to Baishuizhai in Zengcheng are advised to drive there. The mountain is very high and some places are steep. It is recommended to wear comfortable hiking shoes or sports shoes. Don't leave any regrets and be sure to climb to the top. It's beautiful!

Most people can't climb 10,000 steps. I turned back only when my heart was beating faster. The scenery along the way was pretty good. I heard there is a lake halfway up the mountain where you can jump in and swim.

One of the lungs of Guangdong? Anyway, the air is super fresh, there is a big waterfall, a big reservoir, and many, many, many stairs. Be sure to be prepared because you have to walk at least thousands of stairs haha

Baishuizhai is near Guangzhou, now called Zengcheng District. It is relatively close and you can go there on weekends. I signed up for a package that includes a car, tickets and a meal, which is quite cost-effective.

Arrived at 1pm on Saturday, the scenic area was crowded, but there was no traffic jam, and there were parking lots inside and outside the scenic area. The on-site adult ticket was 60 yuan/person, and the parking fee was 10 yuan.

Those who are capable can challenge themselves to walk to the top of level 9999.

The scenic area is well cleaned, with many trash cans set up along the way, but it still cannot escape the clutches of mainlanders. The mountains and waters along the way are always filled with such inharmonious garbage that destroys the beautiful scenery.

If you go down the road, it's 26 kilometers... I don't know why there were no buses, but fortunately a ride-sharing car took us down in about 20 minutes for 30 yuan per person. Back to Conghua Bus Station. There is a snack street near the bus station, which is very good.



But I would like to remind you not to go during holidays as the large crowds will affect the experience.

Although it is January, the waterfalls in the scenic area are still spectacular. Surprisingly, the water volume is still very large. Walking along the waterside plank road straight into the depths of the valley, close to the green shade of the stream, and with fresh air, one feels happy and comfortable. Tiannan's first ladder 9999 runs from the foot of the mountain to the top of Baishuizhai Mountain, with a group of waterfalls, making it the longest and most beautiful hiking trail in Guangdong.

In fact, as an artificial waterfall, Baishuizhai is a pretty good tourist destination. Although it doesn't have the flavor of a natural waterfall, it has the benefit of water flowing all year round. Moreover, as a short scenic spot 100 kilometers away from Guangzhou, it is a good choice for weekend day trips for those living in Guangzhou.

Two people went there on the weekend. We only climbed to 4999 and saw the Fairy Lake. It was pretty. It would be better if there were no fences. There is a waterfall in it which is also pretty good.

Baishuizhai is a beautiful scenic spot. It is absolutely comfortable to play in the water in July. There are beautiful scenery all the way, and the natural environment is great. However, the stairs going up are very long. It takes at least four hours to climb to the end, and it is estimated to be seven or eight hours to go back and forth. The waterfall on the road was still very good. When we reached the 4099th level, there were some rest areas similar to highway service areas. My friend and I took a short rest and then walked up. We saw a large reservoir with a road on the side that led to the 9999th level. When we came here, we thought we must walk to the end, so we walked and played. I remember that we climbed the mountain around noon, and it was around five in the afternoon when we reached the top and returned along the same route. The abominable thing was that when we reached the top, the sign for the 9999th level was like this, 😥

There are 9,999 stairs. It's great to be able to climb to the top. However, when I went there, I didn't climb many stairs because of time constraints. But the scenery there is pretty good.

Zengcheng Baishuizhai has 9999 steps. I climbed 4099 steps in 3 hours without stopping. The remaining 5900 steps are closed after 3 o'clock because there is no light to go down the mountain. Many people gave up climbing 3000 steps. It was too tiring. I climbed 4099 steps to see Xiangu Lake (Figure 2). It is said that it takes 6 hours to climb 9999 steps. If you want to go, you should prepare for camping. Girls should not wear heavy makeup, high heels and skirts. You will sweat a lot. Prepare sports shoes and casual suits.

Baishuizhai is a really nice place. Although it is very tiring. The top of the mountain is really far from the ticket gate. I took photos while holding an umbrella, and my clothes got wet and dry and wet again. Be careful when holding an umbrella in the heavy rain to avoid being knocked down by the branches above your head. There is no railing on the stone steps to the top, otherwise you will fall down the mountain, and then... nothing will happen.

Suitable for self-driving tours with friends and family. One day round trip, or a better choice is to stay overnight. Climb the mountain, eat at the surrounding farmhouses, and in September and October, there are local specialties such as dense stone red persimmons, which have thin skin, sweet flesh and no seeds. We went there during the National Day holiday. There were too many people on Baishuizhai Mountain, and it was tiring to climb. It is recommended to avoid the peak period of holidays.

I went there during the Dragon Boat Festival. There were many people, but I still climbed to the end.

The scenery at the bottom of the scenic area is very good. You can play in the water. The water is very cold. If you want to take the ladder, it is recommended to climb to 4099. There are no attractions and no people on the way up. The road behind is all downhill. There is no special scenery at the 9999 level, and there are many mosquitoes. At the end is the road, which can go directly to the reservoir at 4099. You can drive. If you are alone, it is recommended not to go to the back by yourself. I was alone, and it started to rain at the end. Fortunately, I met someone who drove to the reservoir and took a SF Express car back to the reservoir. Later, I thought about it and was a little scared. . . .

A place with super beautiful scenery, picturesque mountains and clear waters. You can get half-price tickets with your student ID. It took 4099 meters to reach the Fairy Pool. I was really exhausted.

I didn't expect there is such a waterfall in Guangdong. The water is clear, the water volume is not large, but the drop is not small. The slope is not too steep along the steps all the way up, and it is not too tiring to walk up. It is suitable for friends who like to relax. It is divided into several levels, namely 2999, 4999, and 9999. You can get close to the waterfall at 4999. The water is cool, and there is a landscape park at your feet, where visitors can play in the water, soak their feet, wash their hands, and feel it!

There are direct buses to Baishuizhai from Guangzhou East Railway Station and the west gate of Zhengjia Plaza (in front of ParknShop Supermarket). There are also direct buses to the scenic spot from Fangcun Bus Station on Saturday and Sunday mornings.

Take a bus from Guangzhou (601 at Liuhua Station, 602 at Tianhe Dongpu, 603 at Tianhe Bus Station, 607 at Fangcun Bus Station) to Conghua. There is a special bus from Conghua Hedong Bus Station to Baishuizhai. Or take a bus to Zengcheng Guangming West Station, and then transfer to the special bus to Baishuizhai.

After taking a bus from any place to Conghua Jiekou Bus Station, you can directly transfer to the "Conghua Jiekou-Zengcheng Baishuizhai special bus" to easily arrive there. The special bus runs every 15 minutes.

It took more than 2 hours to go from 0 to 3699, but it only took an hour to go from 4099 to 9999. Everyone thought that 9999 was at the top of the mountain, but it was not at the bottom. It was a bit disappointing.

Baishuizhai Scenic Area is located in Paitan Town in the northern mountainous area of Zengcheng City. It is now a provincial scenic area with an area of about 170 square kilometers.
