Lingnan Tiandi

Lingnan Tiandi is adjacent to Foshan Ancestral Temple, where there are a large number of Lingnan residential style buildings from the late Qing Dynasty and the Republic of China.
There are many shops along the street, including cafes, pottery shops, art and sundry shops, etc., which coexist perfectly with these old houses. It is a great place for shopping and leisure.
The historical buildings here, such as the Jian's Villa and Longtang Poetry Society, are well preserved. The tempting food and literary shops along the street are worth exploring slowly.

Lingnan Tiandi Foshan takes the Ancestral Temple, Donghuali and the historical style area as the main development axis, uses modern methods to protect and transform the 22 cultural relics and many excellent historical buildings in the area, continues the historical streets and alleys, and uses modern methods to transform the excellent historical buildings with typical Lingnan residential architectural style in the Ancestral Temple Donghuali area. It is mainly operated by Foshan's traditional time-honored brands, and features tourism shopping and consumption; Renmin Road Sports Goods Professional Street; Fuxian Road Commercial Pedestrian Street, with traditional arcade style as its feature, has become a new landmark in Foshan. The design inspiration of Lingnan Tiandi comes from the traditional culture of southern China and the Lingnan architectural style. The entire shopping center is themed on the water town, creating a warm and friendly atmosphere. Here, tourists can taste authentic Cantonese cuisine and buy various handicrafts and souvenirs with Lingnan characteristics. In addition, Lingnan Tiandi also regularly holds various cultural activities and exhibitions to provide tourists with more cultural experiences.

I originally planned to go to the Ancestral Temple, but ended up getting lost in Lingnan. There is also a picture book museum here, which is suitable for people of all ages. It is actually more like a shopping mall that revitalizes residential areas.

By Roots |

Although the style is the same as that of Shanghai Xintiandi, it is difficult to take photos because the place is smaller and there are more people. It is difficult to find a suitable place. I am not afraid of it. I have not walked all the way. There may be good places inside that I have not found.

The Zu Miao-Donghuali block where Lingnan Tiandi is located is the historical block with the densest concentration of cultural relics and historical sites, the largest scale and the best preserved in the old city of Foshan. It is a concentrated embodiment of the city's core commercial civilization.

By Doudou |

Very beautiful place, perfect for taking photos! There are many unique shops. It is like a commercial street. Although few shops are affordable, it is worth a walk at night. Everyone says that it is "restored as it was", but my opinion is that it has been built into a Lingnan-style commercial street (with several old buildings mixed in), with old houses as the carrier and each shop decorated to the utmost, and each shop is indeed unique.

By Qiao Lihua |

Lingnan Tiandi is a large commercial district similar to a pedestrian street. No tickets are required and it can be entered from all sides. There are dozens of historical and cultural relics here, as well as modernized Lingnan ancient buildings. There are various time-honored shops and specialty restaurants in the ancient buildings. The quaint streets, the summer sun shines through the leaves. Shops integrated into traditional buildings. The vicissitudes of the stone slabs, the street yards, similar to the old-style wire tugs, are now designed as LED lights, which will be colorful at night.

By Herbs |

Lingnan Tiandi is across the street from the Ancestral Temple and is a shopping street and food street. However, there are also some small attractions scattered around, such as Wing Chun Hall, the "perfect" Wenhuili Wedding House, the Jian's Villa that combines Chinese and Western styles, and the Longtang Poetry Society where people make friends through poetry...

By Bobo |

Lingnan Tiandi Pedestrian Street is relatively short, with nationally famous snacks on both sides. Lingnan Tiandi is the main commercial area, in the form of an open square. Most of the Lingnan Tiandi buildings have Lingnan characteristics, and their structures can be carefully appreciated during the day. At night, the lanterns hanging on Lingnan Tiandi and Earth are lit one by one, which is a different kind of beauty.

By Disabled Free |

It's a very western-style street, suitable for friends and family to have dinner and gather.

The fresh and youthful Xiao Guangyi will probably like this place.

It is very close to the Ancestral Temple and can be visited together.

By UNCLE |

The entire ancient building complex in Donghuali, Zumiao Temple, was repaired and utilized in a “repair the old as it was” manner.

A good place to take a break from the busy life...

The architectural style of Lingnan is very different from that of other provinces in China. You must take a slow and careful tour to avoid any regrets.

By May |

It is really nice. The architecture has a very Lingnan style and is perfectly integrated with various modern commercial entities.

By Xiaoying~lo |

There are lots of delicious food and the streets are beautiful, but the things in the shops are quite expensive, so just stroll around.

By Sunny Doll |

There is a commercial street next to the ancestral temple, but the buildings are all ancient. It is nice to walk around, take photos, eat and have fun. Cobblestone roads can be seen everywhere, and it feels like you are in an ancient town when taking photos.

As a Foshan native, I must recommend the Lingnan Tiandi Ancestral Temple and the surrounding shopping mall Lingnan Station, which are both antique and full of young and fashionable elements. My husband and I are both from Foshan. We have always liked the Ancestral Temple. We will definitely choose to register for major events in our lives here. How can we miss such a beautiful scenery? We must wear Chinese clothes to leave the best memories here. We took selfies with a tripod. My husband and I both think that wearing Chinese clothes to take pictures can not only carry on the traditional flavor of the Ancestral Temple area, but also inject new elements with our funny poses, which is in line with the trendy and traditional feel of the entire Lingnan Tiandi business district. This place is not only trendy and has many delicious foods, but also very suitable for eating and strolling with family during festivals! Five-star praise! Sincerely recommend!

By Luo Xiaoyu_Raining |

It is just opposite the Ancestral Temple. I originally thought it was a group of old buildings, but when I went in, I found that there were buildings, but most of them have been converted to restaurants... There are also old buildings, such as the Longtang Poetry Society and the Jian Villa, but most of them are restaurants and are very commercial.

By Doraemon |

It's a good place for taking photos. It's next to the ancestral temple and the transportation is convenient. I lined up for the popular Naixue's Tea.

By Lucy2016 |

Actually, the main reason for coming here is that it is free. But it is a bit big and I got lost. I haven't visited the Ancestral Temple and Huang Feihong Martial Arts School yet, they are all nearby. There are too many people and it is difficult to take pictures.

By Nini Xin |

The Guangzhou-Foshan subway line takes you to Guangzhou quickly and conveniently. You will arrive at the Ancestral Temple right after you exit it. This is the best-preserved town street from the Qing Dynasty in Foshan, the Pearl River Delta, and even the entire Guangdong Province. It is also the best-preserved group of Qing Dynasty manor-style mansion buildings in Foshan. It is suitable for spring and autumn when the weather is not too hot, the trees and flowers are lush and blooming all around, and it is very comfortable to walk around. The carved eaves, gables, and tile ridges that can be seen everywhere are full of Lingnan style and are very suitable for taking pictures.

By China-TravelNote users |

When I came to Foshan from Hunan for a trip, I felt that I must go to Lingnan Tiandi to have a look and eat. I personally think that compared with Xintiandi in Shanghai, Lingnan Tiandi in Foshan is better. As the saying goes, play in Hangzhou and eat in Guangdong, I really experienced this sentence when I came to Lingnan Tiandi. The environment inside is full of the atmosphere of late Qing Dynasty architecture, and there are all kinds of delicious food. If outsiders want to taste the local specialties, I recommend going to a restaurant called Lucky House, which has a rich variety of dishes and relatively affordable prices. The design style of the store is festive and retro, and the service attitude is super good. It is worth a visit

By Jumping |

One of the ten scenic spots in Foshan, you must visit it when you come to Foshan. It is located in the Ancestral Temple.

By Zhenhang |

The bluestone paving, the flying eaves of the brackets, the lingering clear sounds, the winding corridors, the connotation of the ancestral temple is so rich that no matter how many, deep, or gorgeous words are used to describe it, it is just scratching the surface and leaving regrets. Only by experiencing it in person can you appreciate its beauty.

By Brother Hao walking his Shiba Inu |

There are many art shops, gourmet restaurants and bars in Lingnan Tiandi. If you are tired of visiting the Ancestral Temple, you can come here to have afternoon tea and visit the specialty shops. At night, there are many bars in Lingnan Tiandi, which is a good place to experience Foshan's nightlife.

By Groundhog |

A must-visit place in Foshan, with lots of delicious food

By Crow on the road |

It is comparable to the Kuanzhai Alley in Chengdu. There are also many girls. It is free. If you have not been to the Kuanzhai Alley in Chengdu, then this is your best choice.

By OO |

No tickets required, Lingnan-style architectural complex, a relatively petty-bourgeois leisure area

By NINI Forest |

It's a very trendy place with many artistic and petty shops, suitable for taking photos of various internet celebrities. The disadvantage is that there are too many people.

By Lonely Patient |

There are many old buildings in Lingnan Tiandi.

When you are tired of walking, just lie down on the stone bench, look at the sky, and feel the breeze. It is really comfortable.

By Cat |

Lingnan Tiandi is mainly composed of buildings in the style of Lingnan folk houses in the late Qing Dynasty. There are cafes, dessert shops, art groceries and various chain restaurants in the buildings, such as Taigenbao Wumi Congee, Houjie Tangchu, Renxin Laopu, Hello Kitty Cafe, Tanyu, etc. It feels good to walk around and take pictures here, but it's a pity that it rains. It's a good choice to arrange an afternoon trip here on a weekend or a short holiday with cool weather.

By Meo-sir²⁰¹⁷ |

It is very suitable for taking photos, and it is recommended to come at night. There are also many delicious foods, so you have to slowly find what you like!

By Adam |

This is an unexpected gain in this trip, a very bourgeois leisure shopping district, worth visiting, drinking a soft drink in the open-air cafe, playing with your phone, and daydreaming.

By Smile calmly |

Just behind the ancestral temple,

It’s actually a place for leisure.

The original old building was redesigned.

Create a place for eating, drinking and having fun.

It's similar to the East Suburb Memory in Chengdu.

You can hang out.

You can drink tea.

You can eat and drink;

As long as you have interest and time,

Can while away the whole day.

Foshan Lingnan Tiandi is located in the center of Donghuali, Zumiao, Chancheng District, Foshan City. It is a pedestrian street with an artistic atmosphere and a good place to take photos!

By domasbushi4 |

I saw my friends introducing Lingnan New World on WeChat Moments a few years ago, but I never had the chance to come. When I came to this area, I found obvious signs of planning and a strong commercialization. But unlike other "Internet celebrity" attractions, the layout here makes people feel very comfortable, and there are no noisy hawking and messy advertisements. As a rather petty-bourgeois attraction, it is suitable for weekends to meet up with a few friends to stroll around and try the many restaurants here.

By Yellow Fat Pig |

It's a great place to take photos. It's really nice to walk around. There were a lot of people on Sunday, but it was okay. It would be better if you come here on weekdays, and you can take any photos. Parking is a bit troublesome because there are so many people, so you have to park in the old street next to it.

By Jason Qu |

The transportation is convenient. It is next to the Zu Miao subway station. A Lingnan-style building complex has been preserved and renovated. There are many restaurants and coffee shops inside, which is very beautiful!

By Fiona Li |

I want to make crazy calls for this place. It has the same owner as Shanghai Xintiandi, and the style is very similar. Both are commercial streets that incorporate local characteristics, but I personally think that the Lingnan style is much better than the Shikumen in Shanghai... and compared to Shanghai Xintiandi, not only is there less people here, but the restaurants are generally more cost-effective. One good thing about eating in Guangdong is that you can just pick a restaurant you like and eat as much as you want. Guangdong people are so picky about taste, and most restaurants with bad tastes are closed~

By Lu Yu |

The experience is very good, the streets are lively and exquisite, without losing the local characteristics. Recommended

By nf0001384 |

Right next to the Ancestral Temple, it is a very artistic and petty bourgeoisie place. I specially arranged to go there at night after visiting the Ancestral Temple. The lighting design inside is very unique, and the different passages have their own merits. The design is very strong, and the flow of people is not large. It is the first choice for Piqingcao, but unfortunately I went alone. There are new real estate projects opening nearby. If you have sufficient funds, living nearby is also a good choice.

By Helvin-cai 🏅️ |

It's a rare opportunity to go fishing without queuing, so I'll eat at this restaurant today

By Time is singing |

Basically, there are cafes, restaurants and small shops renovated from buildings from the Republic of China era, but there are many special shops, as well as many old sites of musical instruments and poetry societies, and teahouses that are still in business. It feels like a place with the charm of old Guangzhou. After visiting the Ancestral Temple, you can visit here and have dinner here.

By ✪ ω ✪ |

Jane's Villa Bell Tower is a fusion of Chinese and Western cultures.

By Even |

The style is somewhat similar to Shanghai's Xintiandi, but not exactly the same. Shanghai's Xintiandi is more cosmopolitan, while Lingnan Xintiandi is more elegant. I really like those narrow streets. A turn leads to a completely different world. During the day, you can see old houses and lush trees, and at night, the neon lights show the city's fashion sense.

By Rice ball karenchow |

Compared with many tourist areas, I would give Lingnan Tiandi a high score. Many buildings from the Qing Dynasty are preserved here. The most spectacular one should be the Poetry Society. In addition, there are also wedding houses, bell towers, etc. There is also a Wing Chun gym. However, this place is now completely a place to eat and drink. There are super many famous restaurants, such as Tanyu, Wumizhou, Wuxi Tea Restaurant, Xiaolongkan, COSTA, Starbucks, etc., but the catering is perfectly combined with Lingnan architecture, such as Guoer House and Renzi House, so it doesn't feel out of place. Follow the official account, there are discounts for parking, 1 point for every 1 yuan spent (be sure to take a photo of the receipt and upload it), and 10 points can be deducted for 1 yuan. New registration will give 300 points, hahahaha, which is equivalent to free parking. Parking is 10 yuan for the first two hours, and 2 yuan for an additional hour. There are more than 1,000 parking spaces, so there will be no place to park, great.

By Rain dampens the dust |

I feel that the renovation of the ancient building is quite successful. Each store is very unique. It is also well integrated with Lingnan culture. There are no must-have products such as stinky tofu, fried chicken steak, and XX yogurt for an antique street. The disadvantage is that there are not many maps and the instructions are not very clear. I walked out while walking.

By Li Da Mao_Monique |

The layout feels more commercial, like a small town in a shopping mall, but the food and style inside are good, and the show-off is quite good. The exhibits inside are not bad, and it is a good choice for weekend play.

By When? |

It is a bit like the narrow alleys in Chengdu and the Tanhualin in Wuhan. It has a bit of literary atmosphere and the architecture is more in Lingnan style. There are food, drink and entertainment. You can have a meal there, then walk around and take pictures. It is a good place to relax.

By Little bad friend |

The local characteristics are strong and the surrounding services are great. It is worth a visit.

By Uncle Allen |

Located next to the Ancestral Temple, it has become a new landmark of Foshan and a city card.

Many cities often use the method of renovating old houses to give them new life, such as the Shikumen in Shanghai and the Kuanzhai Alley in Chengdu. However, Lingnan Tiandi has preserved the old houses very well, and the coexistence of historical sites and business districts amazed me.

In addition to the shops for eating, drinking and entertainment, Foshan (one of the four ancient ceramic towns in China) has introduced the longest-standing ceramic culture and pastry culture to the business district, which is really managed with great care. It surpasses the renovation of old districts in other cities.

Friends who come to Guangdong or Guangzhou are recommended to come here to experience the Lingnan alleys, delicious food, pottery culture and leisurely shopping.

Small and fresh, not crowded, suitable for taking pictures. There are also some restaurants, which is quite convenient.

Lingnan New World - As a typical example of old city reconstruction, it is worth a visit. Before I came here, I thought it was just a place for strolling around, but I didn't know that this whole area has integrated culture, tourism, residence and commerce. There are many restaurants, so it is also suitable for families to come and walk on weekends.

By 🎀Baby_Yingen🎀 |

It is a suitable place for leisurely strolling, with a good environment, modern Chinese style, and high prices. There are various restaurants and various styles of dishes for you to choose from.

By Little Cat |

There are green trees and nice scenery here. There are also various shops, snack bars, and cafes. You don't have to worry about food and clothing. There is a strong literary atmosphere. There are many restaurants here, but not many people are eating inside. Many people are just strolling and taking pictures at the door~

By Sasa big face girl bucket waist |

It is true that Lingnan New World has a strong commercial atmosphere, but I still like it very much. It can preserve historical relics well and make it glow with new vitality. For example: the bell tower and the wedding house reveal the atmosphere of folk weddings, and various ancestral shops and pubs make people think of the prosperous business in the past. PS I stayed in Foshan for three days, and I had dinner in Lingnan New World for two days! The taste is also good!

By March light rain |

Foshan Lingnan Tiandi takes Ancestral Temple, Donghuali and historical style area as its main development axis, and uses modern methods to protect and transform the 22 cultural relics buildings and numerous outstanding historical buildings in the area, continue the historical streets and lanes, and create open spaces of appropriate scale. Foshan Lingnan Tiandi will use modern methods to transform the outstanding historical buildings with typical Lingnan residential architectural style in the Ancestral Temple Donghuali area. It will include multi-functional facilities such as residences, office buildings, retail, catering, entertainment, tourism and culture, continue the Foshan style and create a new landmark in Foshan.

By Yan Yulun |

Lingnan Xintiandi, I heard that it is a must-visit place in Foshan, and it is also a place strongly recommended by my girlfriend. As a result, after driving more than 100 kilometers to arrive, I found that it is actually overrated. Because it is close to the ancestral temple, the store buildings basically have a retro style, but the prices of things are high, and the consumption is no different from that in the center of Guangzhou. There are too few special foods. The environment is good, but there are really not many places worth seeing. Most people order a drink, eat something, and take crazy photos. I have been there once, and it is unlikely that I will go there a second time. If you like to take pictures and show off in your circle of friends, you can go and have a look. After all, the place is pretty good. The shops inside feel that the taste of Wuxi Tea Restaurant is good. Friends who don’t smoke should never eat on the first floor, because the decoration environment on the 2nd and 3rd floors is too different from that on the first floor, and there is a smoking area on the first floor. The environment is so disgusting that people think they have gone to the wrong store. The Gundam on the 2nd floor is a great place for taking photos.

By wz_coffee |

It is a good place for young people to travel and get together with friends. It is a good place in Foshan.

By Young |

There are many other small attractions in Lingnan New World. Since you are here, it is essential to have a meal here. There are also many places for morning tea in Lingnan New World, but the opening time here is relatively late every day, maybe close to noon, so friends who want to have morning tea here must not come too early, because they haven't opened yet.

Lingnan Tiandi Foshan is located in the central area of Donghuali, Zumiao, Chancheng District, Foshan City. Located in the core area of Chancheng District in the center of Foshan City, Zumiao District, adjacent to Donghuali, a nationally famous cultural heritage site, it enjoys a lofty status admired by the whole city and is one of the few traditional wealthy areas in China with a profound historical heritage. The entire ancient building complex in Zumiao Donghuali was repaired and utilized in a "repair the old as it was", and modern techniques were used to build the entire area into a comprehensive block integrating culture, tourism, residence and commerce.

The shops here are all exquisitely decorated. Friends who like petty bourgeoisie life must come and have a look~~~

Various restaurants are also scattered throughout the streets, a world for foodies~~~

By Jingzhou Lao Zhou |

Lingnan New World is full of restaurants, including coffee shops, cake shops, western restaurants, tea houses, fast food and seafood. You can also taste special snacks such as fried dough sticks, milk skin, Jidi porridge, blind man's cakes, etc. The Starbucks, Haagen-Dazs, No. 9 Garden and other places in Lingnan New World are very modern. In one day, you can visit Lingnan New World and Foshan Ancestral Temple. This leisurely trip has no sense of oppression or urgency. You can eat, drink and have fun while walking. Lingnan New World is worth experiencing and relaxing for modern people living in the cold and noisy concrete jungle.

By ty34 |

Still a nice place, a good place for a casual meal.

By Kingkong |

I personally feel that this is a good place to take a walk after dinner and to play with children. No objects other than legs can enter, creating a good atmosphere. The occasional exhibition of intangible cultural heritage is also very distinctive.

By ❥Backstreet Western Boys |

Although I only went there at night, this place in the old Chancheng District is still nice after being renovated, but most of it is a place to eat. I didn't have time to visit other unique places. I hope to have time to go there next time to experience the local culture of Foshan.

By Seven-Fang |

Lingnan New World is located in Chancheng District, Foshan. Foshan is a city with its own architectural characteristics, and you can find this in Lingnan New World. The architecture of Lingnan New World is mainly retro. The streets are relatively clean and there are not many people. It feels like a small garden away from the world instead of a city. There are not many shops there, and I forgot what shops there are. The decoration of the shops is not so commercial, but more of a unique style. Lingnan New World is not very big. If you just want to stroll around, you should be able to finish the tour in about an hour.

Foshan Lingnan Tiandi is located in the central area of Donghuali, Zumiao, Chancheng District, Foshan City. The project covers an area of 65 hectares (net land area of 52 hectares) and a total construction area of 1.5 million square meters. The project is divided into five phases and is expected to be completed in 2020. Located in the core area of Chancheng District in the center of Foshan City, Zumiao District, adjacent to Donghuali, a nationally famous national cultural heritage site, it enjoys a lofty status admired by the whole city and is one of the few traditional wealthy areas in China with a profound historical heritage. The transformation of the Zumiao Donghuali area began in 2008. With the support and overall planning of the governments of Foshan City and Chancheng District, Hong Kong Shui On Real Estate Development Co., Ltd. launched the "Foshan Lingnan Tiandi" project on February 28, 2008. The entire ancient building complex of Zumiao Donghuali was repaired and utilized in a "repair the old as it was", and modern techniques were used to build the entire area into a comprehensive block integrating culture, tourism, residence and commerce.

Lingnan Xintiandi is based on the historical features of the Ancestral Temple and Donghuali, and restores some Lingnan architecture. Here you can see Lingnan-style arcades, pot-shaped mountain walls, carved eaves, winding streets and alleys. There are also shops, restaurants, specialty snack stalls, cafes, etc. in the scenic area, which is a good place for locals to go shopping and relax on holidays.

By Blackie |

There was a period of time when I went there almost every week. From the perspective of architecture, prices, and food, I personally feel that it is much more comfortable than the Xintiandi in Shanghai. The architecture is exquisite, and every small coffee bar, dessert shop, jewelry shop, craft shop, restaurant, and bar has a beautiful appearance, Lingnan style, and is quite artistic. The prices are also very down-to-earth. Unlike the diners in Shanghai Xintiandi, who are mostly foreigners, in Lingnan Xintiandi, every restaurant is crowded with guests in the evening. Locals and foreigners gather together, and neighbors in slippers and tourists in hiking shoes sit at the next table. For a while, the fragrance filled the street, making people salivate.

There are basically all the big coffee shops, such as Starbucks, Costa, Pacific, etc., and there are also some very beautiful and comfortable small coffee houses. The dessert and snack shop I always go to is "Minxin", a century-old shop, which is a must-go for me. It is a double-skin milk shop, and other small snacks are exquisite and delicious. The prices of restaurants are slightly higher than other places.

Coming to Foshan, visiting Lingnan World, eating and walking around is a wonderful experience.

By Ponyo |

It was my first time to go to Lingnan Xintiandi. I went there using the navigation system. I parked my car at Oriental Plaza and walked there using Baidu Navigation. The place is quite big. It was evening when I went there. I was a bit pressed for time and didn't visit all of it. But the scenery is really nice, very unique and petty bourgeoisie. It's a good place to sit there with a few friends, drink coffee and chat.

The one that impressed me the most was the Hello Kity Cafe. It was so cute. Kids would definitely love it. I do too. Haha.

By DF9988 |

Lingnan Xintiandi is mainly about food. It has Lingnan architectural style and is very casual. There are Starbucks, Haagen-Dazs, and many local Foshan delicacies.
