When we got to the island, we found that it was much bigger than we imagined. The island is nearly 60 kilometers long. The hotel we stayed in was in Qing'ao Bay, with a large beach of nearly 270 degrees, which was very unique.

As for the prosperity of the island, it was really beyond my expectation. It was more lively than Zhoushan in Zhejiang, with restaurants and hotels everywhere and a lot of traffic. Nan'ao Island was the worst place in this Shantou trip. It takes about 2 hours to drive from Shantou or Chaozhou. I have been to many islands, but I don’t expect Nan’ao Island to be amazing. It is worthwhile to enjoy the sea breeze with the family and yearn for the distant places.

There are not many tourists in Nan'ao Island in winter, and it is quiet and feels more like a vacation. The Nan'ao Bridge is 11 kilometers long, with endless sea on both sides, and it still looks very spectacular.

I went to Nan'ao Island. I had to pay 96 yuan to get on the island. The hotel parking fee was 30 yuan per day. There was a camera every 400 meters on the broken road. The service attitude of the restaurant was good, but the price was touching, 40 yuan for a serving of fried rice. It took half an hour to drive from the hotel to the supermarket, and I was afraid of being fined on the way. By the way, there were shared bicycles, charging 20 yuan per hour... So amazing. When parking, the security guard deliberately was not at the booth. As soon as you entered and found that you had gone the wrong way, you would be charged 15 yuan immediately. You didn't even have 15 minutes of free time. This may be the worst island I have visited in the world. There is still a lot to say, forget it, I'm too lazy to say it.

The scenery is very good. In addition to watching the sea and playing in the sand, you can also go to Fengche Mountain to look up at the big windmill, overlook Nan'ao Island, and see the lighthouse (a total of four or five). The island is very large and public transportation is inconvenient, so it is best to rent a car and drive yourself

These sea food stalls, which the locals call "fishing rafts", are transformed from fishing boats. Because of their large size, they are particularly eye-catching. These transformed fishing boats form a large water platform, and then use bamboo or wood to build floating houses. After simple decoration, large lanterns are hung at the door, and red paint signs are erected. They are neatly placed together to form the most famous seafood world in Nan'ao.

At night, I walked along the coastline, went to the harbor and the coast. If it was during the day, it would be very sunny here, but it was very cool at night. The Songjing I went to yesterday was swallowed by the sea after 6 o'clock, and the waves kept rolling. Not far from Songjing, there is a temple. I walked in and found that there was nothing special. The observation deck behind the mountain was also very ordinary. In general, Yun'ao Town is such a quiet small market town, which looks like a countryside but also like a market. After the sun set, I continued to walk forward in the direction of Fengche Mountain, but I only saw some seafood restaurants along the way. At 9:30 in the evening, I returned to the inn, packed up all my luggage, and prepared to go back to Shantou City the next day. Maybe I am used to city life, and I am not used to life here for the time being. If I have the opportunity in the future, I must go to Qing'ao Bay to experience the sunrise and sunset here. Why do I say the scenery is average? Because the ring road is completely blocked by trees, making it inconvenient to see. There are only a few places where you can enjoy the view, and some of them are fenced off and charge a fee.

Two days are enough to visit Nan'ao Island. If you take the bus like me, you can visit all the attractions where the bus stops in two days without rushing. If you drive yourself, you can also visit all the attractions where the bus does not stop, so two days are enough.

6. So overall, I don't recommend going. If you really want to go, stay in the county town. The bus around the island runs every 10 to 15 minutes. It's not bad to stay in a B&B. If you want to know about B&Bs, you can ask me. I think the owner is pretty good. Anyway, I will never come back for the rest of my life. The speed limit on Nan'ao Bridge is 60, so don't exceed the speed limit. The bridge toll on Nan'ao Bridge is 96 yuan (for entering the island, but not for leaving the island), and parking at scenic spots on the island is 5 yuan per car.

I can only give it an average, I can understand the bridge toll, the parking fee is five yuan, and it is not a scenic spot. Don't go to those places that wave to eat, they are all places that cheat outsiders. The shrimp costs 80 yuan per catty, and it is not evenly distributed. What kind of shit is the pepper and salt of mantis shrimp? Just eat the skin. Fresh is real. Qing'ao is still okay. The sea view room I stayed in is also cost-effective. I think coming to this place is to see the blue sea. It's a bit cold at night. I don't know why it is foggy. It's a bit humid when I see fog for the first time. The scenery is good, Qing'ao is worth visiting.

Suitable for summer, actually just to play in the water, the coastal highway is good

In fact, Nan'ao is a county. There are Houzhai, Yun'ao Town, Shen'ao Town, and Qing'ao Bay Management Area. Nan'ao is a county composed of these four places, and each place has its own unique features!



Houzhai: As the county center and the first stop to enter the island, the number of tourists on the island is second only to Qing'ao Bay.

Yun'ao Town: Located at the southern end of Nan'ao, people here mainly go out to sea for salvage.

Shen'ao Town: Located at the northern end of Nan'ao, it is the least developed place on Nan'ao Island. It used to be an ancient county town with simple folk customs. People here are mainly engaged in breeding.

Qing'ao Bay: Located on the easternmost side of the island, it is a great place to watch the sunrise, where tourists are most concentrated, and also an area that the government focuses on developing. It has stretches of sandy beaches and stunning scenery!

There are many scenic spots on Nan'ao Island, including Qing'ao Bay, Songjing, Zongbing Mansion, Treasure Island, Nanshan Temple, Yungai Temple, and Huanghuashan Forest Park. You need to stay at least two days to visit all of them. As we have limited time, it is best for us to take a quick tour along the ring road around the island. As a local in Chenghai, I often go there to play. It's only 10 kilometers away by car. I mainly go there to relax on weekends. I recommend eating seafood at the sea fish raft. I heard that roadside stalls and scenic spots are more of a rip-off. As locals, we usually go swimming at the beach before entering the island, because there is also a toll of 98 to enter the island. The best way to experience the island is to take a boat to Laichang Pier, then get off and cycle around the island.

Nan'ao can be said to be the Little Bali of Chaoshan. The continuous coastline is especially suitable for self-driving tours, and you can also go out to sea to see dolphins. The Nan'ao Bridge is a scenery that you never get tired of, especially when the sun sets, you will only feel that life is so beautiful. There are not many people on Nan'ao Island, and it is not big. Many people go to the city or other places to work for a living, and there are not many people left. Therefore, basically, barbecues can be set up at night. The villagers pay great attention to protecting the environment of their village and will not litter.

I read the introduction when I came here. It costs 5 yuan to park on the island. It's not a common pit. There is no sign saying that it costs money. When you leave, someone suddenly appears and says that it costs money. I'm totally in no mood! The whole island has no special features and is still under development. It's much worse than Hailing Island in Yangjiang!

Scenery 4, features 1, poor public service. I stopped to eat casually, and this Afang stir-fry restaurant here has no price tag. When I paid the bill, a bowl of white porridge was 10 yuan. I was speechless 🙂

It’s fun to drive around the island by yourself! Go wherever you want to go, stop to take pictures when you see beautiful attractions, it’s really nice! I went there during the Spring Festival, and the bridge fee was waived, which was a good deal!

Before entering, you need to walk on a 9-kilometer bridge with a speed limit of 60 kilometers. There was no such bridge before about 2013, and you needed a ferry to get there. I saw it online and decided to come to Nan'ao after it was opened to traffic in 2015. It didn't disappoint me. The sea here is very blue and beautiful! The sea I saw before may be a fake sea! The most beautiful sea in Guangdong! The beach is still very beautiful and clean. Many people go there to bathe and swim in the afternoon! There are many private stalls on the beach, which are tea stalls or convenient for people to change clothes. The people of Chaoshan still love to drink tea! After swimming, you can still have a cup of tea and feel the sea breeze, which is particularly comfortable! This island is from Nan'ao County. It is quite big for us to go around the island. We walk clockwise and play all the way! We live in Qing'ao Bay Blue Sea and Blue Sky Hotel Apartment, which is very convenient. Come here for a few days next summer vacation, but go around August 15th, there will be more seafood. I came in July this time during the sea ban period.

Stayed at the Gold Coast of Qing'ao Bay, the environment was OK. The hotel accommodation price in the off-season on the island was not cheap. The Linjia Seaview Seafood Food Stall recommended by the hotel was very overpriced and the attitude was arrogant. It cost 96 yuan to drive into the island. When I stopped the car temporarily at any scenic spot on the island to take a photo, someone immediately came to collect the parking fee of 5 yuan, which was really unpleasant. The manager said it was required by the local government... No wonder Shantou was the worst developed among the four special economic zones. The environment and natural conditions were originally good, but I lost interest after going there once.

Take bus 161 from the city to the tourist center, then transfer to bus 601 or 602 to Qing'ao Bay. The sea view is open along the way, and the coastline is still very pristine and natural. Especially when you arrive at the sea under the Tropic of Cancer Square in Qing'ao Bay, facing the vast Pacific Ocean in the east, according to the owner of the convenience store, there are only three or four hundred households in the surrounding villages, with a small population and little pollution. It is suitable for walking slowly. The surrounding environment is indeed green mountains and green waters, white sand beaches, and blue-green seas, which is very beautiful!

Don't expect to pitch a tent here.

There will be crowds of people because no one is setting up tents except for the merchants.

The coastline is too narrow and the local tourism development is not complete. If you often go to the sea, don't come here, you will be disappointed.

I strongly recommend that you must go to Nan'ao Island if you go to Chaoshan. I like the sea on Nan'ao Island, which is very, very blue and clear. At that time, I felt that I had crossed the long Nan'ao Bridge and came to an island. It was incredible, even if I took a bus to the island, O(∩_∩)O haha~

On a whim, I drove from Shantou to Nan'ao to watch the sunrise at 4 a.m., and then I couldn't get to Qingao Bay in a hurry, so I watched the sunrise at the square.

During the National Day holiday in Ji year, I drove with my wife and her parents to Chaoshan area and came to the beautiful island. We faced the sea, watched the sunrise and sunset, the ebb and flow of the tide, the bright moon hanging high in the sky, and the largest windmill power generation base in Asia. It felt great!

It's a very beautiful island. Although the price is expensive during the May Day holiday, this is the only time I have time to travel there. The scenery is nice. It's an independent island, but there are too many people.
