At the recommendation of a friend in Shenzhen, I drove into Shenzhen University for the first time. When I returned to the campus, the feeling of first love suddenly came over me! It was a heart-pounding feeling!

Shenzhen University has a beautiful campus and strong faculty. Less than a kilometer away from the campus are a number of business giants such as Tencent, Alibaba, and China Resources. There are many internship opportunities, and the student source is naturally great!

With large areas of white walls, irregular squares and the backdrop of blue sky and white clouds, the super INS style Shenzhen University teaching building is a natural photo-taking spot, attracting a large number of admirers like me who come here to visit.

I have seen this newly built science and engineering building in the South District of Shenzhen University on the Internet countless times, and I came here specifically for it.

For architecture fans and photography enthusiasts, this is a great place to practice taking photos.

Secondly, if you come in the morning, the sunlight will shine through the passage between the two buildings, forming a beautiful contrast between cold and warm colors. If you add color contrast later, you will get a good effect.

Behind the science and engineering building, there are various high and low bridges and stairs, which are good places for creation.

In addition to the popular science and engineering building, Shenzhen University has many beautiful buildings waiting for you to worship!

The place that impressed me the most during my trip to Shenzhen is not a tourist attraction, but it is indeed a strong contender for the most beautiful university. The buildings in the South District are more visible, very modern, in black and white, and you can take beautiful photos of contemporary buildings. In fact, the North District is also great, with a large Swan Lake with black swans and ducks, a lotus pond on the edge of the lake, and a large tropical garden around the lake. In addition, the flower beds in the university are also very beautiful.

I personally recommend three places

1. Liberal Arts Building, Shenzhen University Liberal Arts Building is also located in the northern part of the campus, surrounded by lush lychee trees. Every spring and summer, you can see the Lingnan delicacy - lychees hanging high on the branches.

2. Shenzhen University Golf Driving Range, the course driving range of the characteristic golf club opened by Shenzhen University, is the tallest and most luxurious place in the northern part of the campus. The second floor is not open to the public on school days, but the first floor and the open field are open to the public inside and outside the campus. Sports funds can be used on campus (25 yuan per basket of balls, bring your own gloves and clubs, and clubs can be rented on site).

3. Wenshan Lake is the most famous scenic spot of Shenzhen University. Every year, a large number of tourists come here to take pictures. It is also one of the main places for Shenzhen University students to fall in love, read in the morning, and participate in club activities.

The campus has new buildings, including the teaching building, library, and liberal arts building, which are all very nice attractions. The green plants are lush, with mountains, lakes, and tree-lined paths, making it a natural oxygen bar. The campus is very large, and there are minibuses that go around the school, with stops along the way. Taking the minibus, you can get to where you want to go quickly, and the ticket price is 1 yuan per trip. Passing by the teacher's cafeteria, it was lunch time, so I went in and spent 20 yuan per person: three dishes, a meal, and a free soup, enough to fill you up.

I guess the security guard saw that we looked like students and didn't stop us, so we walked in calmly.

The wooden stairs next to the Science and Technology Building are often used for wedding photography. If you walk in from the north gate and see the overpass, you can see the internet-famous building with perforated walls.

As a first-tier city with a concentration of science and technology, manufacturing, finance and other industries, it is a pity that there is no first-class university that matches its status. Shenzhen University is located in the heart of the Science and Technology Park, surrounded by various science and technology companies, and even branches of other first-class universities from other places. The campus is not very large. The North Campus is the old campus. It is located on a small hill as a whole. There are many trees and grass. Many buildings are naturally extended or embedded along the hill. The "Zhong" Science and Technology Building and the "I♥SZ" building of Hanjing Group on the north side of the campus are landmark buildings here. The South Campus is the new campus, but it is only separated from the North Campus by a street. The school buildings here are quite avant-garde, which reminds people of the Xiangshan Campus of the China Academy of Art in Hangzhou.

Take Exit B of Shenzhen University South Station to reach the northwest gate of the school. The legendary Dongdong Building is right at this gate.

There are many delicious foods in Guimiao New Village behind the campus. You can go and explore it after visiting the campus.

Arriving at the North Gate, because more and more tourists come here, the security guards usually let you register to enter. After entering, you can scan the code and choose to take the campus battery car for sightseeing for one yuan. It's very cheap. After all, the North Park is built on the hillside, so it's not small. Of course, you can also walk around like me. Walking along the main road full of coconut trees, you can see the Shenda swimming pool on the right hand side. It is open-air and the water in the swimming pool looks very clean. Going up the stairs, in the distance to the north of the swimming pool is the "I❥SZ" building logo of Hanjing Group. It is particularly conspicuous under the blue sky and white clouds!



Not far from the swimming pool is the gymnasium of Shenzhen University, also called Yuanping Gymnasium. I’m not sure how it got the name. The most well-known one is that it has always been the home court of the volleyball champion Bayi Women’s Volleyball Team. When I watched football games in the past, the two teams Bayi and Jiangsu left the deepest impression. It turns out that their home court is here. I heard from people around me that it is super big and there are various types of venues, but it is not open to the public at ordinary times. Tourists can only take pictures outside. Not far away is the Shenzhen University Archives, a very distinctive building!



Several sports venues are not far away. On the opposite slope of the gymnasium is the Shenzhen Sports Stadium, which seems to be closed to the public on weekends. I saw many people taking photos inside on the Internet before. It is especially suitable for literary and fresh girls. From the outside, the plastic paving looks very new. I guess this is also one of the favorite activity venues for school teachers, students and surrounding residents!



I didn’t see the legendary “Zhong” building, nor did I see the Wenshan Lake with its literary atmosphere. In order to save time, I could only ask for directions to find the Science and Technology Building!



I have seen many photos of the Shenzhen University Polytechnic Building online before. Imitating other people's perspectives and freely combining them, whether you are a novice or an expert in photography, such a background picture will be a blockbuster. It is extremely simple, but the only regret is that the best time to shoot here is after 10 am and 4 pm, so that the light and shadow will present more of the patterns you want. I went there at noon, and the sun was shining directly, which was more or less affected!

Other universities still have trees in winter, and the campus is full of the fragrance of plants. The white building of the new campus opposite is also designed with a sense of art, and it looks youthful everywhere. It is very suitable for taking pictures.

If you look carefully, you will find a lot of wild cats. Some will come over to ask for petting, while others are more aggressive.

The school is full of lychees. Mr. Liang said that the benefit is that they are given lychees every summer, but the disadvantage is that there are a lot of mosquitoes. The campus is quite large, with multiple parking lots, so you can drive in unless there are large-scale activities on campus.

In addition to the fixed filming locations such as the Arts Building and the Science and Technology Building, the newly renovated Science and Engineering Building in the South Campus is a popular check-in spot. But I guess the elderly don't like it.

When I went to Shenzhen, I went to Window of the World and Shenzhen University. I felt pretty good.

When we got here, we found that it was so big. There were small sightseeing buses, which were not expensive, only 1 yuan per person.

To be honest, I was a bit confused when I was walking around Shenzhen University. I only saw a lake, and I didn't see the characteristic buildings mentioned in other bee friends' travel notes. After analysis, the main reason is that the time is too limited, and the other is that it is too big. I didn't do a guide and I was completely confused when I entered. I didn't know where to go. I think if there is enough time, it is completely no problem to spend half a day slowly walking around inside. After all, it is a university. It is very quiet here, suitable for a relaxing stroll.

I arrived early. Because it was under construction 🚧, I lost my way on the way to the liberal arts building. After checking in at the liberal arts building, I firmly pretended to know the way and took a minibus out 😂😂😂😂

Not bad! It's still worth going in and taking a look. The cafeteria is also open to tourists.

The campus is relatively quiet during the holidays. Visitors can enter and exit freely without being blocked by security guards. Some paths still have fallen leaves and branches blown down by the typhoon. The teaching building has been locked, and visitors can only visit the exterior of the teaching building. The photo hotspots are mainly located in the Science and Technology Building. The white walls are matched with neat and uniform square windows. Against the backdrop of the blue sky, there is a unique visual experience. The long outdoor stairs also create a unique landscape.

With new eyes

Thanks to the strong support of Shenzhen City and the efforts of the university itself, Shenzhen University has a strong momentum of development. This time I went to Shenzhen University to learn from it. The campus is large, the greenery is very good, and some buildings are very distinctive. In addition to the discussion, I visited the University Student Affairs Center and the Sino-French Institute. What impressed me most was that Shenzhen University's campus brand is very good, and the campus brand culture store has many interesting items. From this aspect, Shenzhen University has been in line with advanced foreign universities!

The layout of Shenzhen University is very layered. The dormitories, canteens and some teaching buildings are a bit old. The archives and performance hall seem to be newly built and very beautiful.

Recommended route 1: West Gate, Time Square, Performance Center, Down to Earth, Library, Wenshan Lake. Recommended route 2: North Gate, Liberal Arts Building, Science and Technology Building, Library... Recommended route 3: South District Communication Building, Science and Technology Building. Maybe we went to the wrong campus. It didn't seem to have anything special. After walking around for a while it didn't feel like a school, but more like the outside world.

For candidates from other provinces, Shenzhen University is a first-tier university, and for local candidates, Shenzhen University is a second-tier university. But no matter it is a second-tier or first-tier university, the school environment is still very good. I heard that their library has a lot of books, but outsiders cannot enter. In addition to students of the school, only those graduate students who have a library card can enter.

Shenzhen is a city I like very much. Starting from Shenzhen University, the greenery there is beautiful from smell to vision.

The pig's trotters were delicious! The chicken was just so-so. The cafeteria environment is also very good! After eating, I was amazed by the beautiful night view!

Visitors can enter and exit Shenzhen University freely. I have to admit that the roads inside are all sloped, so it would be nice to take a stroll on a shared bicycle. We were exhausted after walking for a while, but the quiet and peaceful atmosphere of the campus will always make people linger there.
