Xichong (xī chōng) is located in the south of Nan'ao on the Dapeng Peninsula. Xichong Beach is the longest beach in Shenzhen, with a 10-mile silver beach and golden sand that is as elegant and comfortable as silk. The ticket used to be 13 yuan. Xichong is really the most beautiful beach. I stayed in Xichong for 2 months and have a certain understanding of it. First of all, there is a public bus, M232, and there is Beach No. 4. The general map will turn you to Beach No. 1. The numbers are almost the same. There is also a place for surfing. The scenery in summer is really beautiful. There are wild pineapples on the cliff, but it is more expensive to live here, and the food is also average. There is only one street. The people of Xichong are relatively rich, and there are dividends every year, but they are older and there are more outsiders. There are also more teams coming here, some water sports, such as motorboats, flying fish, sofas, etc. Then there are speedboats, usually fishermen, and stalls contracted by individuals. Xichong used to be a place for smuggling, and was later developed. Typhoons often visit it. It is currently closed because it was severely damaged by Mangkhut and it is not easy to recover. It's a pity that such a beautiful scenic spot is abandoned. Apart from a few local people, the people doing business here are from Guizhou and Henan. Anyway, it is still worth going. There will be traffic jams on holidays because the streets are too narrow. The worst time was when the traffic jam lasted until the early morning.

It is very beautiful inside, and it is worthy of being one of the most beautiful beaches in Shenzhen. When the weather is fine, any camera can capture a beautiful picture. It is also very beautiful here at night. You can't go into the water, and there are tents. There are strange noises from time to time... You can sing karaoke here, and it is very interesting if there are a lot of people. It is humid here, and all kinds of small animals come out at night.

2. Regarding water activities, I looked around and found that it is quite expensive to buy tickets on site. If you are going to play on the beach, it is recommended to buy tickets online for water activities, or buy tickets on site near the end of the activity, so that you can negotiate the price.

3. Regarding food, you can ask the accommodation owner, who will usually have recommendations.

Navigation address:

(1) Dongchong: You can drive to the "Dongchong Community Work Station" or "Donchong Beach". The Dongchong Community Work Station is close to the starting point of the hike; Dongchong Beach is the starting point chosen by many tourists, and there is a parking lot for easy parking.

(2) Xichong: If you drive, you can navigate to "Xichong No. 4 Beach Parking Lot". This is a common end point for hikes. The parking lot has complete facilities, making it convenient to pick up the car after the hike.

Play time:

(1) Hiking: The entire classic crossing route is about 6-8 kilometers, and the hiking time is 4-6 hours (including time for taking photos and resting). If you choose to walk and play and fully appreciate the scenery, it is recommended to reserve about 6 hours; tourists with good physical strength and a tight schedule can also complete it in about 4 hours. Please note that some sections, such as climbing reefs and crossing mountains, are more time-consuming and are greatly affected by weather and personal physical condition.

(2) Leisure: If you do not hike the entire route and only want to spend time at Dongchong or Xichong Beach, you can arrange your time according to your personal preferences. Generally, half a day is sufficient for strolling on the beach, playing in the water, and sunbathing. If you want to have a deeper experience, such as participating in water activities and tasting seafood, a full day is more appropriate.

Representative attractions:

(1) Dongchong Beach: The sand on the beach is coarse, but the water is clear and the surrounding scenery is pristine and natural. On the left side of the beach is the popular check-in spot Chuanbi Rock, which can be reached on foot during low tide and can only be viewed from a distance during high tide. There are also jungle off-road vehicles, CS, archery, frisbee and other recreational activities near the beach, as well as a variety of marine activities.

(2) Xichong Beach: The longest beach in Shenzhen, with fine sand and azure blue water. Here you can enjoy beach strolls, sunbathing, swimming and other seaside leisure activities. The sunset in the evening is very charming, and it is a good time to take photos. There are shower facilities (charged) next to the beach for tourists to wash off after playing.

(3) Hiking route along the East and West Chong coastline:

① Chuanbi Rock: The unique reef landform is an excellent photo spot. The moment when the waves hit the reef is very spectacular. It is recommended to use the continuous shooting mode to capture the moment of splashing water, but be careful to keep a safe distance from the waves.

② Observatory: Located above Chuanbi Rock, it is the highest point on the Dongxi Chong coastline, overlooking the panoramic view. The pure white building contrasts sharply with the azure sea and sky. It has a 360° viewing platform, which is suitable for shooting panoramic blockbusters. To enter the observatory, you need to make an appointment in advance on the "Shenzhen Astronomy" public account. It is closed on Mondays and will be open until 20:30 on Fridays to watch the sunset over the sea.

③Reef section: At the capes such as Da Pai Tou and Guizai Cape, you need to use your hands and feet to climb the reefs. Ropes are provided in some places to assist. The process is full of challenges and excitement, and you can feel the majestic momentum of the waves hitting the shore up close.

④ Dongchong Mangrove Wetland Park: Shenzhen's fifth mangrove wetland park, the park has built a number of wetland plank roads, ⑤ aerial bridges and hiking trails, connecting various wetlands into a water secret. The most eye-catching check-in point is the light blue S-shaped bridge that spans half of the park, which is suitable for taking photos and also suitable for taking children to play, so that you can get close to nature.

I have been to Xichong for at least 8 or 10 years. I still pass through a primitive pine forest. There are not many people on the beach. The sea water is still bitter, and the scenery is still the same. Standing on the beach, it looks like a gold ingot from a distance. Lover's Island is the center of the ingot.

Friends in Guangdong are still worth a visit. The seawater here is quite clean, but there are too many people in summer. There are also many people camping at night, and there are many people renting tents on the shore. There are also accommodations, but they are very expensive during holidays. We went to Beach No. 2.

I took the bus from the city, and it felt like a long time. I missed my stop when I took the M232 because I had no experience. The coastline is really beautiful. It rained twice during the hike, but the sun was shining again after only three minutes. There were also children hiking with their parents. There was laughter and playfulness, but perseverance was needed. It took more than two hours to complete the hike. I carried 8 bottles of mineral water and it was not enough to drink. I was sweating a lot. When I finished the hike, I felt like I had just been pulled out of the water: soaked. I didn't feel it at the time because I was jumping on the rocks all the time, but I knew it later when I drove back to Dongguan and got stuck in traffic. I was a little doubtful whether my legs were still mine. I felt so sore and weak.

Because I didn't take proper protection, didn't wear long sleeves and didn't wear a hat, the ultraviolet rays from the sun were very strong. Not only did I get tanned, but my skin also felt like it was touched by chili peppers and it burned. Even after a few days since I came back, the skin on my face and hands is still peeling.

A kind of grinding, painful and happy, the skin, flesh and bones are hurting, but the spirit and even the soul are happy.

The scenery is really nice, but the development is not good enough. The public toilets and showers are all charged by private individuals, and the sanitary conditions are not particularly good.

The water in Xichong is quite blue, and there are not many people. I didn't go to the island to see it, because I spent 190 yuan to go deep diving, and I had to buy another 30 yuan diving mouthpiece, otherwise it would be unhygienic and not worth it! The tour guide originally said 1 hour, and I was only in the water for about 20 minutes. Later I found out that 1 hour also includes training time. The first time I went to a deeper place, my ears hurt. The way is to pinch your nose and blow hard to let the air open your ears; another way is to swallow saliva. I came up to the water to take a breath, but I was pulled up less than 10 minutes later. I just found the feeling, but it was not satisfying! There are corals in the sea, slippery; small fish; the water is beige, not clear enough, and the scenery is not beautiful. The tour guide told me that Xichong and Sanya both belong to the South China Sea. Next time, I don’t need to go diving in Sanya, but go to Thailand! Deep diving in Thailand!

Seeing the South China Sea again couldn't be more beautiful.

Xichong gives me the feeling that the water is very clear and the scenery is beautiful. It was May when I went there. The weather was not too hot and the waves were not high, which was exactly what I liked. However, the food and accommodation are a bit expensive. The two pictures with stones are on the Lover's Island in Xichong. You need to pay to take a boat there. Compared with the tail field, the scenery is better than it, but the accommodation may be worse than it. You can pick up conchs, small crabs and the like in this place. It is best not to go during the summer vacation, you know! Personally, I recommend going there on May-June and September-November.
