Xunliao Bay is known as one of the cleanest bays in hundreds of kilometers of eastern Guangdong. Today, I personally experienced it and it is worthy of its reputation. I booked a special room from Meituan for only a few dozen yuan. The hotel is called Hailai, but the room is quite good. It is more than 100 meters away from the beach. There are many seafood rice restaurants on the roadside. The price of the three of us only cost more than 200 yuan, which is fair and the portion is good. There is only one Mazu temple in Tianhou Palace, and there are shops inside. The price is definitely more expensive than outside. Play with the sand on the beach. The next day, we went out to the sea. Many local boats would recruit customers to go out to sea. 120 yuan for three of us. Choose one of the three islands. There are two days off for the Mid-Autumn Festival. It is very inconvenient to take a bus from Shenzhen to Xunliao Bay. There is a direct bus from Huizhou Terminal to Xunliao Bay, two trips a day, one in the morning, I don't know when, and one at 2:30 in the afternoon. I originally wanted to go to the Austrian town to play before going to Xunliao Bay, but I didn't have time to take the bus. The next morning, I went to the beach to play, and took a speedboat to Sandao, a six-minute distance. There was a seagull island without seagulls in this season, like a big stone, not big. Turtle Island is on the left side of the entrance to the sea, but you can't get there by yourself. In the end, you got to a mermaid island, which is about 300 to 400 meters opposite the shore. And it looks like an artificial island, it's a rip-off and there's nothing fun to do. One boat costs 100 yuan. If there are eight people in a boat, it's okay, but there are only three of us. Many people bought tickets online in advance to go fishing on a fishing boat. It only costs a dozen yuan for an hour. In the morning, I couldn't find a direct ticket from Xunliao to Huizhou Terminal. There was no number left for the direct bus the day before. Xunliao doesn't have a fixed station, so I can only transfer to Huidong. I took the bus from 11:30 to more than 3 o'clock to get to Huizhou Terminal. It rained heavily on the way. In short, I personally don't recommend going to Xunliao Bay. The journey is a bit far.

If you start from Shenzhen, it is really close, and the sunset at the seaside is also super nice. There are many apartments in Xunliao Bay, and you can choose a sea view room in the apartment, overlooking the beautiful sunset at the seaside. The food here is expensive, mainly Hakka cuisine, and the taste is average. It is recommended that friends who want to have a big meal can go out of Xunliao Bay to the county town to eat, which is more cost-effective.

But!! This time!! It overturned my impression of Xunliao Bay~How to get there? First of all, because we didn't want the journey to be too tiring, we gave up the self-driving tour and chose a through bus. To be honest, the first time I went to Xunliao Bay, I just went to a random beach. There was a lot of garbage and no waves...emm, it was not fun, so this time I listened to the tour guide on the bus and went to the beach of Shanhai Lanting. You can locate "Xunliao Bay Beach in Huidong County" and rent a flamingo emmm, which is good for showing off! Because this beach is less crowded and clean (probably because we went there at 5 o'clock) But pay attention! Xunliao Bay Beach is divided into two types: private or public. The one I'm talking about is a public beach where you can't take a shower.

Xunliao Bay is indeed a relatively large bay. The sand here is finer and whiter, the water is clearer, and the waves are smaller. I swam for about an hour, and when the sun was setting, it was so beautiful.

As a local of Xunliao, I will introduce several ways to play and strategies of Xunliao Bay: 1. First of all, we have to choose a better hotel. It is best to book a hotel before coming, because June to August is the peak tourist season. The room rate for temporary booking on the same day is relatively high, and there may not be good rooms. Many people will choose cheaper hotels, such as homestays, but it is not very convenient for homestays to enter and exit the beach. You can decide whether to book a homestay or a hotel according to your own situation; it is generally not recommended to come here on weekends, because there are many cars coming to Xunliao Bay on weekends, and there are often traffic jams. You can choose the corresponding travel time according to your own situation. Coming to the beach is to relax yourself. It is recommended to choose a hotel that is closer to the beach and has a lot of food, drink and fun around. 2. Before departure, locate the destination to be reached. The cross-sea bridge has been opened in the past two years. It takes about 1 hour to drive from Shenzhen to Xunliao Bay Expressway, 1.5 hours from Dongguan, and about 3 hours from Guangzhou to Xunliao Bay. If you set off in the morning, you can reach Xunliao Bay around noon. 3. When you arrive at Xunliao Bay at noon, you can order food from the food stalls near the hotel you have booked. Before ordering, you should ask the price clearly. A small family can order about 300 yuan. Ask the price clearly before ordering to avoid being ripped off. 4. As we drove along, I looked out the window and saw that there was a stretch of road that went straight to the seaside. With the physical filter of the car window, it was a perfect sea blue. Ah, this is Xunliao Bay.

There is no entrance fee for the scenic spot. Many families bring their children to play in the sand at the beach. It is a very suitable place for family weekend trips.

PS: Haishang Bay Resort Hotel is operated by three operators. I chose the more expensive one. The management of Shuangyue Bay, where I booked for the second night, was really bad.
