Jingjiang Prince City

The Jingjiang Palace was originally the palace of Zhu Shouqian, the nephew of Zhu Yuanzhang. It is also one of the best preserved palaces of the princes in the Ming Dynasty.
Duxiu Peak is just behind the palace. The saying “Guilin’s landscape is the best in the world” comes from the stone carvings here.
There is a "royal road" in the royal city, which is a special passage for the prince and the princess. It is paved with bluestone slabs and surrounded by clusters of flowers.
Outside the city is the best-preserved Ming Dynasty city wall in China.

Duxiufeng Wangcheng is a scenic spot represented by Duxiufeng and the entire Jingjiang Palace of the Ming Dynasty. The ticket is 120 yuan, which is really expensive.

In order to avoid the various free tour guide scams that are rumored on the Internet, I received a card after entering the Chengyun Gate and started strolling around by myself. Of course, the scenic area will not provide a tour guide for one person.

The Prince of Jingjiang's Palace was built when Zhu Shouqian, the great-nephew of Emperor Taizu Zhu Yuanzhang, was named Prince of Jingjiang. It is the best-preserved palace of a Ming vassal prince in China, with yellow walls and gray tiles throughout the palace.

Behind Chengyun Gate is Chengyun Hall, the main hall of Jingjiang Prince's Palace. It was burned twice during the Qing Dynasty and the Anti-Japanese War of the Republic of China. The current building was rebuilt in 1947. It used to be the office building of Guangxi Provincial Government. Li Zongren and Bai Chongxi both worked here. Now it is an exhibition hall. The only thing left in Chengyun Hall is the carved railings and stone steps from the Ming Dynasty. In addition to the exhibition, there are no facilities in Chengyun Hall, which is relatively boring to watch. The white marble slabs in the square in front of the main hall are covered with moss and are very slippery.

Behind Chengyun Hall is the original sleeping palace, which is now used as a national studies institute.

Walking further back along the central axis, you will reach Duxiu Peak, which rises abruptly and looks as if it was cut by a knife or an axe.

From the top of the peak, you can have a bird's eye view of Guilin city, and Fubo Mountain is not far away.

Duxiu Peak can only overlook part of the royal city.

The road up and down Duxiu Peak is relatively straight and steep. Legend has it that Xu Xiake traveled in Guilin for more than a month but regretted not being able to climb this peak.

A large part of the buildings in Wangcheng are now the campus of Guangxi Normal University. Walking around Duxiu Peak, I accidentally walked into the school.

Many people have said that there are all kinds of tricks here. When you enter the scenic area, the free tour guide will ask you to spend money all the way, buy blessing characters, ask for amulets to prevent Tai Sui, take the imperial examination, buy photos, buy top scholar wine, and so on. Strolling alone quietly can avoid these trivialities. I just didn't expect that the royal city is so small and the buildings are not very ancient. Compared with the 2 yuan ticket of Jingshan in Beijing, the 120 yuan ticket feels a bit like a rip-off. As a university, it is indeed a very beautiful university, but as a 5A scenic spot, it is too perfunctory.

By One-way mirror |

Crowded on the assembly line... Wearing headphones to listen to the tour guide telling a piece of history... Those who are rich and have faith can invite a Tai Sui to take home... Those who are poor and have no faith should be careful not to be fooled... The answers to the top scholar examination are on the table, don't be too happy if you become the top scholar, you can take the 99 yuan top scholar wine away~ Don't take the hydrangea casually or pass it around, the fortune teller asks you to leave your name~ It's more commercialized, if you really want to understand history, you might as well read it on the Internet.

By Single loop |

It's not worth going, it's a complete money-sucking place. Except for the old city wall, everything else is modern.

The first pitfall is to worship Tai Sui, and then they will "invite" you to show your appreciation.

The second pit is the rubbings of Tai Sui and Fu (actually this is not so bad). The third pit is the list of successful candidates. After putting on the clothes and taking photos, when you take them off, the staff will let you tip in the hat, and then "give" you a bottle of wine. The wine is 299 for ordinary people and 99 for the champion.

Now I understand why you are not allowed to take photos during the whole process.

By China-TravelNote users |

I bought a half-price ticket for 50 yuan, but I still think it's not worth it, mainly because it's a waste of time. The earliest buildings were built in the Republic of China, and there are almost no historical sites. Only Duxiu Peak is okay. The tour guide promoted Feng Shui superstition for various hidden sales. There are six sales (cost) projects, such as trial rubbing of the word "Fu", selling Tai Sui rubbings (expensive), worshiping Tai Sui in the cave, simulating the imperial examination, selling stationery, and taking photos. It took three hours, and forty minutes in the Longmai Cave, and there was not even a seat. In short, it's not worth going.

Jingjiang Wangcheng is located on the west bank of the Li River in Guilin. It was the vassal palace of Zhu Shouqian, the vassal king of Jingjiang in the Ming Dynasty. It was built in the 25th year of Hongwu (1392 AD), more than 30 years earlier than the Forbidden City in Beijing. It is the most complete vassal palace of the Ming Dynasty in China and a national key cultural relic protection unit. The architecture of the Wangcheng is a typical vassal palace of the Ming Dynasty. On the north-south central axis with Duxiu Peak as the coordinate, the main buildings such as Duanli Gate, Chengyun Gate, Chengyun Hall, Sleeping Palace, Imperial Garden, and Guangzhi Gate are arranged in sequence. The palaces and buildings on the east and west sides of the central axis are all symmetrically arranged. The city has four gates in the southeast, northwest, and northeast, named "Tiren" (Donghua Gate), "Duanli" (Zhengyang Gate), "Zunyi" (Xihua Gate), and "Guangzhi" (Hougong Gate). The outer periphery has the best-preserved Ming Dynasty city wall in China, and the city walls are all built with giant square stones. At Zhengyang Gate in the south of Fangcheng, there is the "Sanyuan Jidi" archway, which was erected by the Governor-General of Guangdong and Guangxi in the Qing Dynasty to commend Chen Jichang, a native of Lingui who won the "three firsts" (Jieyuan, Huiyuan and Zhuangyuan) consecutively. The "Zhuangyuan Jidi" archway on Donghua Gate was built for Long Qirui, the newly crowned number one scholar during the Daoguang period. The "Bangyan Jidi" archway on Xihua Gate was built for Yu Jianzhang, the second place in the imperial examination during the Tongzhi period.

Jingjiang Palace was inhabited by 14 Jingjiang princes from 12 generations for 280 years. It was later occupied by Kong Youde, the Dingnan prince of the Qing Dynasty. In the ninth year of Shunzhi, Kong Youde was defeated and set himself on fire, turning the palace into a scorched earth. Later, the Qing government changed it into Guangxi Gongyuan, from which 4 champions, 585 Jinshi and 1,685 Juren came out. The current Jingjiang Palace is one of the campuses of Guangxi Normal University.

Jingjiang Wangcheng is located in the center of Guilin. It was built when Zhu Shouqian, the great-nephew of Emperor Taizu Zhu Yuanzhang, was named King of Jingjiang. It is a typical Ming Dynasty vassal palace regulation, with strict central axis symmetry. The left of the city wall is the ancestral temple, and the right is the altar. It has a history of more than 640 years, which is earlier than the time when the Forbidden City in Beijing was built. It became a 5A scenic spot in 2013. The ticket price is 100 yuan/person, including the guide fee. The general process of the tour is as follows: check the ticket to enter the scenic spot and follow the free guide (it seems that many places cannot be entered without the guide) to play Chengyun Hall, the stone carvings on the east side of Duxiu Peak (Guilin's landscape is the best in the world), Taiping Rock (the cave with Tai Sui and Fu characters), Gongyuan (participating in the imperial examination), and then free activities, go to Duxiu Peak for sightseeing and leave the scenic area.

Jingjiang Prince City was the palace of Zhu Shouqian, the Prince of Jingjiang during the Ming Dynasty. The outer perimeter of Jingjiang Prince City has the best-preserved Ming Dynasty city wall in China. As Jingjiang Prince City is located in the central area of Guilin, there is a saying that "You can know Guilin by visiting Jingjiang Prince City".

I really wonder how this place was rated as a 5A scenic spot. It is a later built attraction. They use all kinds of marketing tricks to cheat people out of their money from beginning to end. The ticket is 100 yuan, and the official tour guide is just a shopping guide. There are also activities like fortune-telling, imperial examinations, worshipping Tai Sui, etc., all of which cost money. I'm waiting for this scenic spot to be delisted!

By Xugu Layman |

This place is the least fun place in Guilin. There is no scenery. Once you go in and see a little, they start to play tricks. What about Tai Sui? You have to pray and ask for favors. You can only pray and ask for favors with money. Do ghosts and gods like money from the human world? Or are people using ghosts and gods to cheat? The same is true for rubbing characters. The first activity always asks for money in your pocket. No photos are allowed during the whole process. I regret not going to China-TravelNote to check the reviews when I went there.

By Visitors |

It's worth a visit to learn about the importance of the royal city to the history of the Ming Dynasty and the so-called secret rubbing techniques of the royal palace, but it's too commercialized.'

By Gu Dongdong |

Although the Prince of Jingjiang was a vassal king, Zhu Yuanzhang built a palace for him according to the specifications of a prince during the Ming Dynasty. During the Qing Dynasty, this place was changed to Guangxi Gongyuan. During the Republic of China, it was the seat of the Guangxi government. Li Zongren and Bai Chongxi both worked here.

Jingjiang City is one-fourth the size of the Forbidden City. The Forbidden City is backed by Jingshan Mountain, which is artificially piled up. The backyard of Jingjiang City is Duxiu Peak, a natural mountain. Duxiu Peak is the highest peak in Guilin. Now all houses in Guilin are not allowed to exceed Duxiu Peak, so there are no high-rise buildings in Guilin. Ancient people, especially emperors, paid attention to Fengshui, so the central axis of Jingjiang City was offset a little to avoid usurpation of power.

In theory, this place should have a long history, but the buildings were destroyed in the war, leaving only bricks, underground tunnels and small yellow houses from the Republic of China. I don't really appreciate the yellow exterior walls of the Republic of China buildings, but prefer the blue brick and flying eaves houses from the Republic of China.

There are not many ancient buildings in Jingjiang Ancient City. Most of the things to visit are some facilities with multimedia explanations. The visit requires a certain number of people to form a group. Each group follows the tour guide to visit. Many scenic spots are closed. The door is only opened when the tour guide comes. Everyone wears a headset for explanation. When leaving the team, there will be a prompt "Please follow the team closely". I don't like this way of visiting very much. There is no freedom. What's more important is that he started with some historical stories, and then explained all the Feng Shui knowledge, and kept talking about the five ways to write dragon veins, Tai Sui, and Fu. I am not interested at all. After visiting the tunnel, we left the team and ran away. Seeing other teams enter the tribute courtyard, we followed them in. As long as there is a tour sign, even if it is another team, the staff will not stop it.

Therefore, it is recommended that those who are not interested in Feng Shui can leave the group early, follow other groups into each small attraction, and then quickly tour it.

The two more interesting projects in Jingjiang Wangcheng are the experience of rubbings and the experience of the imperial examination. After seeing so many rubbings, this time I also experienced how to complete the rubbing firsthand.

Jingjiang Wangcheng, known as the "Little Forbidden City of Guilin", although I saw that people didn't give it a high evaluation on the Internet before, as the old campus of Guangxi Normal University, it is also the only 5A-level scenic spot in the city. I am still curious about why netizens give it a bad review? Facts have proved that only when you really experience it can you make your own judgment. As the old campus of Guangxi Normal University, the students here are very happy, the architecture here is very unique, and the culture here is very profound. Listening to the free explanation of the tour guide, this is the birthplace of Guilin City and the location of the dragon vein. I am impressed by the wisdom of the ancients and believe that Feng Shui does make sense.

By Cute Wonderland |

The ticket price is 100 yuan in the off-season! What kind of scenic spot dares to charge such a high ticket price?! Moreover! People over 60 years old don’t even have half-price tickets! The ticket seller at the scenic spot was so arrogant. I asked if there was a discount for people over 60 years old. She stared at me with a smile. I asked again and she rolled her eyes and said: No, it’s just 100 yuan! 66666666

By Traveling around China |

I didn't see any palace, it was just a museum. How did it get five stars? An old man had to buy a ticket for 70. The tour guide said that Guilin has no heavy industry and relies on tourism, so...! I was convinced! There are basically no historical sites in the palace. Duxiu Peak is still worth a look, but it is a five-star scenic spot, the most unworthy five-star scenic spot in the country!

By Ramon |

Jingjiang Palace is a scenic spot in the city that combines scenery and history. Guilin Demonstration College is also in this scenic spot. You can see the restoration of the ancient imperial examination scene inside, and you can also climb up Duxiu Peak to overlook the panoramic view of Guilin city. If you catch up with the tour guide, you can also listen to them tell the stories of many celebrities' stone carvings in the scenic area. It is a place worth visiting!

By Ouch! Ouch! |

Jingjiang Wangcheng was newly built later. The stone carvings of Guilin's best landscapes are here. The ticket price of 100 yuan seems a bit expensive.

By Rhyme Pig |

A super boring scenic spot, how did they get the 5A rating? Except for Duxiu Peak and the stone road, none of the buildings inside are ancient monuments. You can renovate them to look like ancient buildings. The steps of Duxiu Peak are so high that it is exhausting to climb a low mountain.

By Young Heart Journey |

The ticket price is a bit expensive, and taking photos is not allowed in the palace. If you are interested in learning about Guilin’s history, you can listen carefully to what the tour guide says.

Note:

1. Buying tickets online is cheaper, 89 yuan, but you need to buy them one day in advance;

2. Duxiu Peak is located in Jingjiang Palace. Both individual tourists and groups entering the park are provided with tour guides. There are about 10 people to one tour guide, and the tour takes about 1 hour and 30 minutes. You can wander around on your own the rest of the time.

3. Jingjiang Palace and Guangxi Normal University are connected. It is said on the Internet that you can follow the students into the palace, but you cannot go up to Duxiu Peak without a ticket. There are security guards checking tickets at the entrance of the mountain.

4. The mountain is easy to climb. It takes about 15 minutes to reach the top of the mountain. You can see the unobstructed panoramic view of Guilin. It is recommended to come here at sunset, the scenery is super beautiful.

If time permits, it is best to follow a tour guide when visiting Jingjiang Wangcheng. As long as you buy a ticket and enter alone, you can listen to the tour guide's explanations and play games. This is a very interesting place, with both nature and humanities: there are Tuofu, Tai Sui, the stone carving of "Guilin's landscape is the best in the world", Duxiu Peak, scientific research and other interesting things, which is much more interesting than Xiangshan Park.

By Xiaoyao Lake |

The gate of the ancient building exudes a historical atmosphere, perfectly combining history with the bustling city.

The palace is full of big trees, which give people the feeling that they are old trees, yet vigorous and strong, witnessing a period of history of the palace. At the same time, we feel cool and comfortable wherever we go. The mottled light and shadow also have a unique flavor. The road in front of the gate of Jingjiang Palace is very quiet and comfortable.

This is probably the worst attraction in Guilin

Are those who write recommendations to go there serious? What is fun about this place? It used to be free (why does university cost money? You have to pay to see cherry blossoms at Wuhan University???), but since it was contracted by a private owner, the tickets are so expensive! It can be said that there is nothing inside. If you like to climb mountains, you can go to the nearby Lao Ren Mountain and Baoji Mountain for free!!! Want to see the words carved on the mountain? There are also words on Diecai Mountain, and there are more than Duxiu Peak, and the tickets are much cheaper. You said there are ancient buildings inside? If you want to see ancient buildings, why don’t you go to the Forbidden City and the Summer Palace in Beijing? Just look at the city walls that you can also see outside? I don’t know how many layers of paint the houses inside have been painted. Probably only the city walls and part of the stairs can be considered as ancient monuments.

If they must go, young people can pretend to be students and sneak in through the back door.

You can overlook the night view of the Eternal Love of Guilin. As the best place to shoot night views in Guilin, it can be said that the lighting layout is very rich. You can just take a few photos with your mobile phone and share them on your circle of friends.

By Dreamless_Dreamer |

First of all, I want to say that those who are interested in history and humanities can still go there. Just like I read the guide and knew there would be sales promotion inside, but I still went. However! I was still surprised by the depth of the routine inside! It is really linked together! After entering the gate, you will be assigned a free tour guide with a group of people. It is indeed better to have an explanation than to look around randomly, but the problem with this attraction is that it is very unfriendly to friends who want to travel independently, because each point requires a tour guide to open the door and then a group of people can see it together, and it needs to be closed. There is some text introduction on the wall, but I don’t have time to read it carefully. I need to follow the tour guide closely, which is a pity. After explaining the rubbing, you will experience rubbing the word "Fu", and then it will be taken away when you leave. If you want to take it away, you need to buy it for 10 yuan. After worshiping the Tai Sui in the Tai Sui Cave, it began to say that it is best to go back and buy rubbings. It also said that not all Tai Sui pictures can be bought because some are seriously damaged and cannot be rubbed. It also said that no photos are allowed because they are afraid of damaging the stone statues, but I am very confused. When they rubbed the pictures with the paint, wouldn’t it damage the relics more? ? ? Then everyone will be locked in a rubbings specialty store with more than a dozen salespeople until no one is interested in buying or they are released after buying. But I have to say that the rubbings are pretty good. The Gongyuan is a place where you can experience the exam, which is quite fresh. On the way, someone will take photos and voluntarily buy them. But friends who are selected as the champion should pay attention. After the certificate is issued and the clothes are worn, you have to pay a bonus, and then you will be recommended to buy the champion wine. We were all amused by this routine. Maybe the champions can't laugh on the stage. In addition, the scenic spot buildings are all newly built, and following the tour guide, you can't see the whole picture of the palace. You have no idea about the front hall, the back hall, and the back garden. The ticket price seems very expensive. It is recommended to buy a package ticket for several attractions. Just check in. There is no place to go in the city.

I have a special liking for this place. It is both a scenic spot and a university. It is now Guangxi Normal University. There are stories about Mr. Sun Yat-sen here, and there were also stories about me, hehe

By Mimi Guoguo 2013 |

There are guides in the scenic area, but we didn't want to waste time waiting so we just hired one on the way. Jingjiang Palace is a "30% sightseeing and 70% listening" scenic area. In addition to introducing the history of the royal city, the guide talked most about what is Tai Sui, which we were not very interested in. In fact, I don't quite understand the architectural color of Jingjiang Palace, because it is usually the color of the temple. There are cliff carvings in the scenic area that say "Guilin's landscape is the best in the world".

By Jiang Tao Vision |

Jingjiang Palace is a place with such a profound cultural atmosphere, which is completely different from sightseeing. I also experienced a simple rubbing inside. I used the protruding Fu character mold, spread rice paper, and patted the rice paper with a brush. Slowly, a mark will be left, and then a small mark with pigment will be gently stained with color. The whole process is simple and interesting. It is strictly forbidden to take pictures inside the imperial examination room, and you can only take a peek from the outside.

By A Gao |

Don't go. Not to mention the high ticket price, the point is that there is nothing to see inside. There are free guided tours, but most of the palaces are closed, or there are some fancy things on display. All the way down, first go to Cheng'en Store to watch the video. Then see the wax figures and pictures of the princes in history, and see the three-dimensional restoration of the palace. The sleeping palace is closed. Turning to the back, Duxiu Peak, they introduced the monument commemorating Sun Yat-sen, and the cliff carvings that say "Guilin is the best in the world" - these are almost the only two things to see inside. Then, enter the cave, tell you the customs of Tai Sui, let you recognize Tai Sui, worship Tai Sui, stay for a very long time... boring, boring.

It was only when I got here that I realized there was such a crappy 5A scenic spot! How much did you spend to squeeze out Shanhaiguan and not become the first 5A scenic spot to be kicked out? How dare you charge 120 yuan for the ticket? You must be crazy for money, right? I advise people who are planning to go not to go! Among all the scenic spots I have visited in the country, this is the rubbish, the most worthless, the most disgusting, and the only scenic spot where the tour guide took off the audio guide and threw it in her face halfway through the explanation! ! ! ! It's so fucking rubbish! ! ! There is no bottom line for cheating people out of money! Did people in Guilin die of poverty in their previous life? I want to vomit

You can buy tickets at half price with your student ID card to enter Jingjiang Wangcheng. A tour guide will explain the various scenic spots in Wangcheng to our temporary group of individual tourists. It takes about an hour and a half. First, we learn about the history of Wangcheng, and then visit the various scenic spots in Wangcheng one by one. Due to time constraints, most of the attractions are just a quick tour. It is recommended to walk slowly after the explanation.

By Almost Miss, |

It is more expensive to buy tickets for Jingjiang Palace separately. You can buy a package online for a much better price. I bought a package of Elephant Trunk Hill + Jingjiang Palace online for 118, including the main gate ticket. I think the scenery is very good, with a high historical and cultural heritage. I recommend going there. However, there are many sales promotions at Jingjiang Palace, so be careful.

By Soft July |

It was already very hot in the morning. I bought the ticket to the palace and was surprised to learn that it included the service of a tour guide. As a place where 30% of the tour depends on seeing and 70% on listening, it is a great thing to have a tour guide. So I followed the tour guide and got a detailed understanding of the entire palace scenic area. There are not many buildings left over from the Ming Dynasty, but Duxiu Peak attracted my attention. This mountain, which gathers the dragon veins and cultural veins, is a Feng Shui treasure land. I experienced the secret rubbing technique, the Gongyuan examination, and found my own natal Tai Sui, which was an unexpected gain.

By Whale Fall |

The first thing you see at the entrance is the prologue hall, which uses multimedia films to create a magnificent, dynamic, and sensory audio-visual feast, allowing you to intuitively understand the history of Duxiu Peak and Jingjiang Palace.

The 360-degree holographic projection model of the Jingjiang Prince's Palace allows us to not only see the overall picture of the Jingjiang Prince's Palace at that time, but also the Feng Shui pattern of the palace and the entire Guilin city. The five elements are mutually generated and circulate, which coincides with the Duxiu Peak Dragon Vein Feng Shui.

Through graphic and text displays, physical exhibits, sculptures and paintings, and scene restoration, the plain narrative and knowledge transfer are transformed into a three-dimensional and interesting artistic presentation, showing the historical changes of the royal city in different historical periods.

By Three bazookas |

I bought the tickets in advance online. They weren't that cheap actually. Anyway, there weren't many people there when I went, and there was no queue at the ticket office.

You can tell from the gate that it's a semi-artificial attraction, and I already lost hope before I even got in.

Because there are few people, Wangcheng is relatively quiet, very much like the campus of a university in Shanghai where I lived when I was a child.

There are actually no attractions in the Royal City. When you enter, you will be chatting with tourists about mysterious things like rubbings and worshipping Tai Sui. After seeing all kinds of promotional things like rubbings and Tai Sui caves, you will be taken to the Gongyuan. In fact, it feels like it was built artificially later.

Jingjiang Prince City is located on the west bank of the Li River in Guilin City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. It was the princely palace of Zhu Shouqian, the Prince of Jingjiang in the Ming Dynasty. It was built in the fifth year of Hongwu (1372 AD) and completed in the twenty-fifth year of Hongwu (1392 AD). The outer perimeter of Jingjiang Prince City is home to the best-preserved Ming Dynasty city wall in the country.

Jingjiang Prince's Mansion is a campus of Southwest Normal University. It is both a tourist attraction and a campus. From the outside, it should be a tourist attraction similar to the Forbidden City, with some historical relics and monuments. The most attractive thing should be the big words "Guilin Landscape is the Best in the World", which are said to have been written here.

By Yun Xianyu |

I went there five years ago, and now my only impression is that the tickets are very expensive...

By Asahi |

It looks quite grand from the outside, but I heard from the locals that it is free for locals to go, and it is a big park inside.

By Line |

A palace that was built earlier than the Forbidden City, with profound cultural heritage and historical details. Such a place will surely produce more talents to save the world!

I feel it's not worth the money. When you enter the door, a tour guide will be arranged for you. One tour guide leads a team and takes you on a trip. There are small hidden costs for each trip. Of course, it is voluntary to pay or not. I remember a woman came out of the College of Arts and asked if I wanted photos. I said thank you, but no, and then asked for directions. She rolled her eyes at me and turned away and ignored me. It was another woman who saw something wrong and answered me. I was really angry. Is this the attitude for not spending money? You can also choose not to follow the tour guide. You can hang a sign and go in to listen to the introduction of the place you want to listen to. Just go over and listen directly, but this is not scientific. You don’t know where you can go in. The doors are all closed. The tour guide leads the team. It is also close to the university dormitory. I wonder if the locals can get in for free? In short, I feel that the 5A scenic spot is average. You can climb Duxiu Peak to see the scenery. Although it is not high, it is steep and it is still quite tiring.

The road was under repair when I entered the gate, so it was a bit difficult to walk, but I was still amazed by the two big banyan trees. When I entered the gate, I found that the buildings had been renovated and no longer had the same flavor as before... You have to follow the tour guide of the scenic area in groups, and you can move freely after the tour guide takes you around~ Of course, you can also move freely in advance, just return the number plate to the tour guide... It's still okay to walk around... The reason for recommendation is the Duxiu Peak behind the palace~ Because you can only go to Duxiu Peak if you buy a ticket for Jingjiang Palace~

Duxiu Peak is one of the main peaks in Guilin, standing on a tripod with Guilin's famous Diecai Mountain and Fubo Mountain, with a relative height of 66 meters. Occasionally, we met a few old men doing morning exercises on the mountain. When we arrived at the top of the mountain, we were the only two tourists. The sun had already risen, and the sky was clearer than the previous day, with light clouds, but unfortunately it was not in the best state of cotton. Looking down at the Jingjiang Palace from the mountain, you can feel its majestic magnificence in the past; looking at the scenery of the whole city of Guilin, you can appreciate the perfect combination of wonderful natural scenery and traditional Chinese architecture and garden art. There are Xuanwu Pavilion, Guanyin Hall, Sanke Temple, Sanshen Temple, etc. on the mountain, but none of them are open. On the top of the peak are the photo-taking place of Sun Yat-sen and Song Qing, and Duxiu Pavilion. You can take whatever you want at the viewing platform of "Guilin's First Peak", it's great!

Everyone came here for the "Guilin landscape is the best in the world". Only in Wangcheng can you appreciate Guilin's profound historical heritage. I experienced the "Royal Palace Secret Tutorial" and the imperial examination, and there was really a link to pass the imperial examination. Although there are consumption items, it is not compulsory. The 120 yuan ticket includes the explanation, which is quite worth it. It is 99 yuan for online shopping, which is not much different. You have to buy it one hour in advance.

Tickets are 120... The price/performance ratio is too low!!! I feel it's only worth 20 yuan

Jingjiang Prince City, located in the center of Guilin City, was built when Zhu Shouqian, the great-nephew of Ming Dynasty founder Zhu Yuanzhang, was named Prince of Jingjiang.

By Bai Xubo |

Wangcheng is now part of Guangxi Normal University, and Duxiu Peak is also located in it.

By Chang Xiake |

This is the only place that Xu Xiake could not enter when he visited Guilin, because it was still a royal palace and Xu Xiake had not yet become famous. In fact, it was not just him. For more than a thousand years, this place has been the location of royal palaces, governments or schools, and has never been truly open to citizens and tourists. At Duxiu Peak Reading Rock in Wangcheng, you can find the original cliff stone carving of "Guilin's landscapes are the best in the world" left by Wang Zhenggong of the Southern Song Dynasty. The famous saying "Guilin's landscapes are the best in the world" originated from here.

A campus of Guangxi Normal University. It has a lot of history. The tickets are too expensive and not worth the money. If you go in with classmates you know, you don't need to pay for the tickets. There is no explanation, just look at the signs introducing the attractions.

By Wisps of smoke |

The price is very expensive, 70 yuan, I don't think it is worth it

By Siberian Gull |

The scenic area is well managed and the tour guide is free, which is good, but the downside is that it still sells products in the end

By Agate Hometown |

Wangcheng has a certain history. The tour guide of the scenic area will take you to visit and give you free explanations, which is good. However, the tour guide will naturally take you to spend money. First, he will take you to experience the rubbing of the word "Fu". After that, he will say that you will have to pay 10 yuan for the cost. Then he will take you to find your natal Tai Sui. After a kneeling, he will ask you to donate some money for charity. Then he will take you to the Gongyuan Calligraphy and Painting Exhibition, encourage you to buy calligraphy and paintings, the minimum is two or three thousand, and finally you will take the Juren exam. After passing the exam, you will be given an official uniform, and you have to give a tip of at least 20 yuan. Then a staff member will carry 2 bottles of Guilin Sanhua wine and give them to you to take home for the wedding banquet. Don't be happy. Finally, he will say that you have to spend some money for such a happy thing, and you have to pay 99 yuan. There is also Duxiu Peak. It took a lot of effort to climb to the top of the peak, just to take a photo with the stone tablet with the three words "Duxiu Peak" engraved on it, and then go down the mountain.

By Spring in the Emergency Room |

The location of Guangxi Normal University. All the ancient buildings are colored yellow. You can see Duxiu Peak. The steps are quite steep. I thought it would not have much commercial atmosphere, but I was quite disappointed. The tour guide did give free explanations, but the explanations were mostly about shopping, worshiping Tai Sui, and buying blessing characters. Bad review.

Jingjiang Wangfu Duxiu Peak. Here I want to praise the China-TravelNote tickets. I saw that they were all 99 yuan on Ctrip. I called to confirm that there was no senior citizen discount. So I ordered 3 tickets for 65 yuan. I also used 1,000 honey to offset 50 yuan. Use your mobile phone to scan the QR code to enter. Use your mobile phone to report "group ticket".

Jingjiang Palace has a tour guide. Very professional. Basically, we walked along the central axis. Finally, we ended at Gongyuan. You can choose whether to climb Duxiu Peak. I climbed it, but it was not as good as climbing Xiangbi Hill. You can't feel the charm of Duxiu in the mountain, but it looks very dangerous from outside. There are two things to pay attention to in Jingjiang Palace. One is the ticket voucher, don't lose it. You will check it later. The other is the earphone. The tour guide can explain without a loud speaker because of it, which brings a quiet atmosphere to the palace. The palace has a north gate. After going out, you can walk to Diecui Mountain.

By Moonlit Shallow Creek |

I generally don't go into places that charge admission.

By Sunshine after rain |

The tour guide service is very good, the attractions are not big, and the tickets are a bit expensive.

Well... there are two gimmicks, the stone carvings of Guilin, the best landscape in the world, and the first peak of Guilin.

There are really no high mountains in Guilin city, but the highest peak is 100 meters.

Overall it’s average.

I stayed at the Jingjiang Palace Red Mansion during the Spring Festival in 2017. The entrance fee was free, so you can walk around inside, but the 120 yuan entrance fee outside is a bit of a rip-off.

Inside Guangxi Normal University, the tickets were very expensive, so we didn’t even get in.

By TOM |

Wangcheng was built in the Ming Dynasty. It is an ancient city in the southwest region that has been preserved to this day. Guangxi Normal University is also inside. The entrance ticket is 120 yuan. You can follow the tour guide all the way. You need to wait for everyone to set off. The program will be explained in detail. It is quite good.

By West City Sorrow |

As soon as you enter the gate, there will be a tour guide to lead you and give free explanations. The scenic spot is good, and there are many comments that have been detailed, so I won't repeat them. The ticket price of 120 yuan is a bit not worth it. While explaining, the tour guide will also guide you to buy rubbings of characters, the price ranges from hundreds to thousands, and I don't understand, is a rubbing of characters so valuable? Next, the actors are just a makeshift team, and they don't even need microphones. The key is the stage of passing the imperial examination. In the past, if you win the first place, you have to have a three-day banquet. Today, you can also bring a bottle of wine, 99 yuan or 299 yuan, not expensive! You think it's worth it. This tour has come to this point, and I can only insist on never joining a tour group.

I just came back from Guilin. When I was shopping in Dongxixiang, I saw a store called Lijiangyuanwei doing an event. It gave away tickets and hotels. If you buy 200 yuan of local specialties, you can get tickets to Elephant Trunk Hill. At that time, I thought I had to buy souvenirs for my friends anyway, so I bought 200 yuan for a ticket. The next day, I went to play in Elephant Trunk Hill. It felt very affordable. It was much more cost-effective than taking a boat outside and watching from a distance. If you have friends who go, you can go and have a look. I think it's quite a bargain. I heard from the waiter in the store that you can also exchange for a hotel. I booked the hotel in advance and didn't ask for the hotel. Later, I went to Meituan to check out the hotel. It was a new hotel. The decoration picture looked very good and beautiful, and the reviews were also very good. I went home and searched for this store on Taobao, and I really found it. The things are also cheaper than those sold in physical stores, and you can also participate in the event. If you need it, you can go and find out. It's for reference only.

Located in Guangxi Normal University. Ticket price is 130 yuan. China-TravelNote costs 65 yuan per person. It's pretty good. There are free guides, and Chengyun Hall has been transformed into a museum introducing Jingjiang Palace. It's good. There are still some characteristics inside, imitating ancient times. But in the end, it feels like they are selling products. This is not good.

Jingjiang Palace was the palace of Zhu Shouqian, the Prince of Jingjiang during the Ming Dynasty. The palace is surrounded by the best-preserved Ming Dynasty city wall in China. It has a profound cultural heritage and a very important historical position. However, after a tour, I didn't have a deep impression and felt it was just average.

By I'm going to fly |

It was closed when I arrived late, so I didn't visit the main hall, but walked around outside. Guangxi Normal University is also here, and outside is East-West Lane
