Lijiang Gudong Scenic Area

Gudong Waterfall is located 26km east of Guilin, on the same east line as Dayu Ancient Town and Guanyan. Along the way, you can visit the Ten-mile Gallery on the upper reaches of the Li River, Dayu Ancient Town and Guanyan Scenic Area.
The most distinctive feature of Gudong Waterfall is that you can wear a raincoat and straw sandals and walk upstream along the steep stone walls. The waterfall is divided into 9 levels, and the clear water curtain slides down from the top of the mountain. Climbing the waterfall is like climbing a rock in the water. In the slow-flowing part, the water gently caresses the back of your feet, like wading in a stream; in the fast-flowing part, the water is up to your thighs, and you need teamwork to successfully climb to the top.
River tracing is thrilling and exciting, and it is exciting even if you become a "drowned chicken". If you can't get close to the water, you can also enjoy the scenery with unique ethnic characteristics by traveling by land.
In addition, there is a 62-meter-high suspension bridge in the Gudong Scenic Area. While testing your courage, you can also breathe oxygen and moisten your lungs in the lush greenery of the Gudong forest.

Green water and green mountains are gold and silver mountains. Not bad, a popular place, a good place to check in

Especially the farmers in the countryside, the prices are good, the goods are cheap, the people are good and the place is good. The sweet potato and dried persimmon cakes are 10 yuan a bag, very good

After arriving at the Gudong station, you still have to walk for 30 minutes (about 3km) to reach the Gudong Scenic Area. In fact, you can take a tricycle to get in, but I felt I had plenty of energy at the time, so I walked in (I also walked out on the way back, and instantly felt like a fool). After entering the scenic area, you must pass through a shopping and snack street to get to the ticket office. The parking fee for self-driving is 10 yuan for the whole day, and the entrance fee is 70 yuan. Tickets cannot be purchased online.

If you play the waterfall, it costs 15 yuan per person, including a helmet, a mobile phone waterproof bag, a disposable raincoat, and straw shoes. Except for the helmet, you can take everything else home. The first waterfall is relatively high and children under 12 are not allowed to climb it. My son was very unhappy. From the second waterfall, there is a section of water and a small ramp to climb. My son had a lot of fun. You can also experience the zipline and the small train going down the mountain. The zipline is 20 yuan per person and the small train is 50 yuan for two people. In short, this attraction is really conscientious! You can take your children to play!

Entering the gate of Gudong Scenic Area, you can start to buy some equipment for climbing the waterfall. Straw shoes are recommended because the ground under the waterfall is still a stone road, so wearing straw shoes can prevent slipping a lot. The most important thing is that your shoes will definitely get wet because the water of the waterfall is really rushing down and will go over your calves every time, so straw shoes are recommended. You can buy them for ¥10/pair. You can leave your shoes there, but when we came in the afternoon, there were more people, so there were more people in the shoe storage place, and no one helped to look after it, so we carried them all the way.

Climbing the waterfall is fun and worth it, not scary at all.

I didn't know I had to climb the mountain. I wore high heels and it was a bit tiring, but the scenery was beautiful. It's suitable for summer.

The waterfall you can climb is a great experience

The tour lasts about three hours

The most recommended way of transportation is to take bus 306 from Sanlidian Square to Daxu Square, and then take Didi from Daxu Square to the scenic area for 30 yuan

Everyone try to come back by bus before 6 o'clock. The traffic is not very convenient.

If there are many people, you can take a Didi back to the city for about 80 yuan

There are straw sandals for sale at the entrance of the scenic spot. It is recommended that you do not buy them.

There are helmets + straw sandals + waterproof mobile phone cases for 10 yuan in the scenic area. If you add a raincoat, it is 15 yuan. The helmet and straw sandals are necessary, otherwise you can't climb the longest waterfall. Everyone should try to wear shorts for convenience. In fact, you don't have to buy a raincoat. It's not very useful.

There is a Gudong Waterfall tourist bus at the entrance of Guilin Qixing Park. The ticket price is 15 yuan and the ride takes 40 minutes. For those who love hiking and playing in the water, it is very suitable for summer travel. It completely cools down the hot summer, and the feeling of walking through the waterfall in straw sandals is also a unique experience. There are two ways to go down the mountain. You can walk down along the bluestone road, or you can take a zipline and slide down.

It's worth a visit. The first waterfall is the steepest, but it's okay for me, not too steep. The elderly and children are not allowed to climb the first waterfall. Because the location is far away, one is to spend a day to play in a group, that is, to play in Reed Flute Cave and Gudong Waterfall together for a day. Second, if several people play together, it is recommended to call an express car. The third is to take the bus (15 yuan/person), but the bus only goes to the intersection, and you have to take a motorcycle to enter the scenic area (5 yuan/person)

It's a very unique place. You must experience climbing the waterfall. Put on straw sandals and helmets, and bring water protection equipment. The first waterfall is steep and a little scary. After climbing this one, the rest are child's play.

The biggest regret of this trip to Guilin. Because I was traveling with my little nephew, I saw on the Internet that this place is suitable for parent-child travel (although children cannot climb the first level of the waterfall), so I arranged it after Reed Flute Cave (but the weather forecast said that it might rain in the afternoon, so I didn't buy tickets online in advance). As a result, when I arrived at the passenger terminal, the ticket seller said that I should buy tickets and get on the bus at the parking lot behind. I couldn't find it when I arrived at the parking lot. When I asked the staff, they moved it to the South Passenger Terminal. (There were private bus owners soliciting passengers in the middle, and I didn't get on the bus because I thought it was expensive and unsafe). I took the bus between the main terminal and the South Station (no stop in the middle) and arrived at the South Station (it seemed to take about 30 minutes). The facilities were quite high-end. It turned out that it had just been opened on the day we went (August 1). I asked the staff if there was a bus to Guanyan, but I was told that there seemed to be no bus, so we went to the waiting room to check. There are more than a dozen exits in the waiting room, but there was no bus at the No. 15 Guanyan (stopping at Gudong). The staff at the exit of the parking lot also said that they didn't see any bus to Guanyan today. I waited for more than an hour, but there was no bus. I was unwilling to give up, so I checked online and found that I could take a bus to Sanlidian Dayuanpan, then transfer to Daxu, and finally take a motorcycle to Gudong Waterfall. Well, I went back to the city to take the bus to Sanlidian. It was already past three o'clock when I arrived in the city. On the way, I found that there were few buses to Daxu. I thought that even if I arrived, the time for sightseeing was very tight, and the transportation back was even more of a problem, so I had to give up. In the end, I didn't lose on the day because of the weather (at least it didn't rain in the city), but because of the transportation. Fortunately, I didn't book the tickets in advance, otherwise I would have to go through the trouble of refunding the tickets. I didn't book a one-day tour to Guanyan Gudong because there were already Reed Flute Cave and Silver Cave in the itinerary, and Guanyan was said to be useless, and it was not cost-effective to take up a day, so I planned to visit Gudong Waterfall for half a day, but I didn't expect the public transportation to be so bad. In fact, this problem is a common problem in Guilin tourism: the buses to and from many attractions are very few because they are affected by tour groups or one-day tours. This is far worse than Chengdu. The tourist buses between the various attractions in Chengdu are very developed, which effectively makes up for the lack of public transportation.

A very beautiful forest park, with towering trees and gurgling water, it is like a beautiful scenery in a painting. Unfortunately, I didn't walk to the suspension bridge.

By meet by chance |

I bought tickets online in advance, 130 yuan for two people. Because the child is less than 140 cm tall, there is no need to buy tickets. I bought waterproof equipment in the scenic area, including raincoats, straw sandals, waterproof mobile phone cases, and hats for rent. Shoes can be stored and carried on the back. The shoes are too heavy to carry, but if you don't carry shoes, it is a very painful thing to go down the mountain, because wearing straw sandals and taking off shoes, the road is all stone slabs, which is very uncomfortable, so if someone doesn't want to get wet, you can carry shoes when carrying luggage. If you are afraid that your clothes will get wet and uncomfortable, you can bring another set of clothes. We brought clothes that day, but no one changed, so I kept carrying the luggage. It is estimated that it will take more than two hours to swim at Gudong Waterfall, so you don't need to get up too early in the morning. We basically set off at almost ten o'clock and arrived in about an hour. When we got there, we just ate something at the door and bought a water gun for the child. We came here to play in the water, and we must let the children play enough. When we were going down the mountain, the children couldn't walk anymore, mainly because they were wearing straw sandals, which made it uncomfortable. Halfway down the mountain, there was a zip line and a small train. We chose to take the small train because the zip line was too short and it was already at the bottom of the mountain, so it was not very dangerous and we thought it was meaningless. In the end, our choice was proven to be correct. The small train was indeed more interesting, and it was all spiraling down the mountain, which was quite thrilling.

After entering the scenic area, there are various transportation options to choose from. There are two principles: 1. If you are with the elderly and children who are not in good physical condition, you can take all kinds of transportation. Of course, they are all extra charges, basically 20 yuan per person. 2. If you want to experience a certain mode of transportation, you can choose to take it. The bamboo raft just after entering the scenic area is a pit. In fact, there are only a few steps to walk. We basically sat on it, which is considered to save some energy. When the bamboo raft landed, we arrived at the entrance of the main scenic area. Here we changed a little brother guide and gave each person a sign for the 20th group.

The biggest feature of the scenic spot is playing with water. The first half is basically playing with water. If you play with water, you have to buy a hydrophilic suit for 10 yuan per person, including a mobile phone waterproof bag, a pair of straw sandals, a helmet, and a non-woven bag (for your own shoes), which can be taken away. There is also a 15 yuan hydrophilic suit, which has an extra raincoat on the basis of the four-piece suit just now. It turns out that raincoats are redundant on such a hot day. The mountains are very humid and hot, and it is uncomfortable to wear raincoats. Note: If you choose to play with water, you must wear straw sandals throughout the whole process, which is a little bit painful. At the place where you exchange shoes, you can ask him for straw sandals according to the size of your feet, and you can also exchange them if they are not suitable. If you don't play with water, you can wear your own shoes throughout the whole process, but you are not allowed to go into the water. Basically, there are staff supervising the whole process of playing with water. The first water-playing trail has a bit of a high drop, and you need to be more than 1.5 meters tall, otherwise you can only play from the second one.

Soaking your feet in the icy cold water is really comfortable in the hot summer. If you don't mind your children's clothes getting wet, you can buy a water gun at the entrance to increase the fun of playing in the water.

There are some unique small landscapes on the way back, which are worth seeing. For example, there will be a local dialect word on every few steps when going down the mountain, asking you to guess the meaning, but most of them are completely unguessable. Then there are various transfers. I recommend the cable car, although it only takes a few seconds to slide down.

At every small scenic spot in the scenic area, there will be people to help you take photos. You can choose when you come down. If you like it, take it. If you don’t want it, it doesn’t matter. It costs 20 yuan per photo.

Drinks are sold every once in a while in the mountains, mainly mango, passion fruit, and watermelon. The prices are not expensive. A glass of squeezed orange juice is usually 10 to 15 yuan.

There are various fruits for sale in the scenic area, mainly mangoes, as well as local specialties such as fire ginseng fruit, apple bananas...

It is said to be the only waterfall in the country that can be climbed, so this attraction has always been my son's favorite. The waterfall is divided into 6 levels, and the 1st and 6th levels are relatively high, so there are height and age restrictions for children. I remember that only children over 10 years old and taller than 150cm can climb.

If you don't climb the waterfall, you can walk on the trail next to it. Wearing special straw sandals, climbing the waterfall is not slippery at all, which is a very, very good experience. (Straw sandals are also sold outside the ticket office, and they are very cheap. Because I read in the guide that the straw sandals bought outside cannot be worn inside, I obediently went in and bought a set meal. The 10 yuan set meal includes a helmet, straw sandals, and a waterproof phone case. The 15 yuan set meal adds a raincoat to the 10 yuan set meal. Because you are required to wear a helmet when climbing the waterfall, if you buy straw sandals outside without a helmet, you must buy the set meal again inside. I personally don't recommend buying a raincoat. It's hot to begin with, and wearing a layer of plastic cloth sticking to your body is even more uncomfortable. Besides, isn't it fun to get wet when climbing a waterfall?)

After climbing the 6-level waterfall, you can still climb the mountain. There is a long suspension bridge behind, and you can go down the mountain if you don't go back. But after consulting Guoguo, we still want to climb the waterfall, which is the real reason for coming here, so we returned and climbed the waterfall again. This is also the charm of self-guided tours, you can play however you want. A few people in a team probably saw us climbing wet, and learned that we were climbing for the second time, so they asked the tour guide if they could play like this a few times, but the tour guide ruthlessly refused, and they still wanted to go to the suspension bridge to see better scenery.

It is still necessary to bring a set of dry clothes to change, and carry your shoes on your back, whether you continue to climb or go down the mountain, leaving the waterfall or walking comfortably in your own shoes. So this is when a waterproof backpack comes into play.

It was already 4pm when we arrived at Gudong Waterfall (the scenic spot is open from 8:00am to 5:30pm in summer), and we were the last two tourists to enter. Fortunately, we happened to meet two large tourist groups, and they also hired tour guides in the scenic spot, so the closing time was extended. Although we entered late, we still visited the entire scenic spot.

The biggest feature of Gudong Waterfall is that you can wear straw sandals and climb the waterfall with bare hands along the iron rope on the waterfall; or walk through the stream and experience the fun of tracing the stream. Because there is drizzle in the sky, the stream water is still a little cold even in summer. If you choose to climb the waterfall instead of walking along the plank road next to it, remember to take some cold medicine at night to prevent catching a cold. In addition, there are many grandmas selling bayberries after leaving the scenic area of Gudong Waterfall. Friends who like it can buy them and try them. They are delicious and cheap.

It was already 18:00 when we came out of the waterfall. The waterfall is about an hour’s drive from the city.

「放松身心,亲近自然」

As a person from Guangxi, I have to introduce it in detail, hahaha!

Waterfall climbing is very interesting! The national 4A-level scenic spot is equipped with a tour guide. Each person is given our Zhuang-style straw sandals for climbing waterfalls, as well as raincoats, waterproof mobile phone cases and helmets. When climbing, hold the iron rope and step on the hole on the rock. The whole climbing process is very safe. If you don't want to take more photos with the tour guide, you can also climb 6 waterfalls-top suspension bridge-walk in the deep mountains and old forests by yourself. For the elderly, children, pregnant women and other people who are not convenient to climb, you can also choose to walk on the steps next to them and go up the mountain with the climbing family. You can choose to walk down the mountain or take the forest train slide. When walking in the mountains, you can also experience many free small entertainment activities with Zhuang characteristics, such as learning to speak Guilin dialect engraved on the steps, beating Zhuang wooden drums, etc., which are fun. There are many ancient trees and plants in the mountains, the birds sing pleasantly in the mountains, the breeze is pleasant, the greenery is lush, and the air is fresh. It is a good place to relax and get close to nature.

The Gudong Waterfall Scenic Area is a mountain. Climbing up, you can see waterfalls of various sizes. There is a big waterfall on top, which you can climb up with your bare hands. It's fun. Straw shoes will be distributed when you enter the scenic area, which are non-slip.

The scenery is nice, but Guilin lacks some greenery in winter. The Gudong Waterfall is located in the Gudongjiang area of the Lijiang River. It is 318 meters high and has a total of 6 waterfalls. The only drawback is that the characteristic of the Gudong Waterfall is climbing the waterfall, but it is too cold in winter so no one climbs it.

Gudong Forest Waterfall is the most worthwhile attraction in my opinion in these two days! ! ! However, there are many self-funded projects, and it is not recommended to bring babies and elderly people with poor health. The tour guide at the entrance of the scenic area will form a team to take you in. There is no way back throughout the journey, but it doesn’t matter if you can’t keep up with the tour guide. You can go out with the flow of people. You can walk around the Sanjie Lake at the entrance, or take a bamboo raft, 10 yuan/person. You can climb the waterfall, and you need to buy equipment, which varies from 10 yuan to 15 yuan. Be sure to pay attention to safety! ! ! There are wishing cards and copper locks on the top of the mountain, which are 10 yuan and 30 yuan respectively. When going down the mountain, you can walk the whole way, or you can take a cable + slide car in two sections. The cable car is 20 yuan/person, with age and weight restrictions, and the upper limit of weight is 200 catties; the slide car is 30 yuan per person and 50 yuan per two people. If there are two people, the total weight must not exceed 300 catties.

It costs 10 yuan per person to take a bamboo raft after entering the gate, and 15 yuan per person to buy raincoats, straw sandals, and safety helmets. After getting dressed, I started to get close to the waterfall and get wet. The waterfall is so big that my clothes got wet when I went up. Fortunately, I was wearing a raincoat. The scenery along the way was very beautiful. After getting wet, I continued to move forward and took a high-altitude zipline. It cost 40 yuan per person. It was quite hard to walk all the way down in straw sandals.

By Sticky rice |

Don't buy raincoats and straw sandals at the entrance of the scenic area. They are available inside the scenic area. They are given away when you rent a helmet. Bring some water and dry food! If you go there by yourself, you need to do your homework, because it is a bit far. If you travel by yourself, you can go to Gudong from the bus station for 15 yuan. He will only take you to the village entrance. It takes an average of about 40 minutes to walk in. You can wait for the 108 bus, but this bus seems to run only once every two hours. If you can't wait, you can ask someone to drive you in for 5 yuan per person!

As soon as we entered the scenic area, there was a lake. The staff tried to sell us a boat ride, but we decided that it was more meaningful to walk. Fortunately, we didn't take a boat ride, and it wasn't long. Soon, we rented helmets and were given a pair of straw sandals. The sandals were small, otherwise the staff would not allow tourists to climb the waterfall. There are six waterfalls in the scenic area that can be climbed. Only the first one is not allowed for children under 1.5 meters to climb, because it is too shaky. After climbing up, the second one is right behind, which is obviously much shorter. The scenic area is not big, and we soon reached the last waterfall. We stopped to rest for a while and took some pictures. There is a bridge on the top of the mountain. The staff said that we can't look back, otherwise it will be unlucky.

Gudong Waterfall is very suitable for visiting in summer. It costs 15 yuan to take a bus at Guilin Bus Station, and you can reach the gate of the scenic area after a short walk. The ticket is 70 yuan per ticket, and there doesn't seem to be any discount. The characteristic of the scenic area is that you can climb the waterfall. In order to experience the feeling of getting wet, I didn't buy a raincoat, hahahaha. There are 7 waterfalls in one waterfall, so of course you get wet all the way. No matter how strong the sun is, playing in the water is very comfortable. There is a suspension bridge on the mountain, which is very exciting, but I am tired and hungry after the whole play. There is nothing to eat in the scenic area. There is a pickle shop not far from the scenic area. I could smell the aroma of fried pickles from a long distance and bought a few bottles. They tasted very good. We all rushed to finish eating before we returned to Guilin, hahaha. I suggest that everyone should bring dry food.

Not bad, the waterfall is especially suitable for viewing in the rainy season, with green mountains, winding roads, many waterfalls and full of momentum.

It is one of the few places where you can play with waterfalls. It is a natural oxygen bar and smoking is not allowed. Before entering the scenic area and reaching the waterfall, tourists can take a bamboo raft at their own expense. A bamboo raft can seat 12 people. You can also walk in on the bamboo and wooden aisles next to it. It is the only known multi-stage series of travertine waterfalls formed by underground springs. Visitors can climb up the steps to appreciate the charm of the mysterious water. You can also buy a set of simple equipment for 15 yuan, including a pair of straw shoes, a safety helmet, a waterproof bag for mobile phones, a small towel, a raincoat, and a storage bag for your own shoes. Wear the equipment, put on straw shoes, and roll up your trouser legs to experience the coolness of summer in a different way. Although there is no great danger in climbing the waterfall, it requires tourists to exert their physical strength. Following others often splashes with water. It is difficult to climb quickly after entering the water, and both feet take turns to climb up. After wading, continue to move forward on the dry road next to it. There is no turning back throughout the journey. The scenery is very good, a summer resort.

There are things like raincoats and waterproof bags for sale at the entrance of the scenic area. You don't need to buy them at the entrance. The prices are the same inside the scenic area. When you enter the scenic area, you don't have to go back. You can take a bamboo raft for a tour. It feels like it's only 800 meters at most. Before climbing the waterfall, there will be a place to change equipment. Helmets, raincoats, and straw shoes are a must. Straw shoes really won't slip. Be sure to pay attention to safety. The weather is so hot, it's really cool here. There are iron chains and stone nests on the waterfall. You can climb up one level at a time. It's fun! After climbing the waterfall, continue to go up the mountain. There is also a naturally formed Guanyin Cave on the mountain. There is a suspension bridge, you can also play zipline, and the small train shuttles through the forest. It's still fun. It takes about three hours to visit the Gudong Scenic Area. The last bus back to Guilin is five o'clock. If there are many people, you can directly share a car back to Guilin for 20 yuan each.

Gudong Waterfall has lush vegetation and harmonious ecology, and there are not many tourists. There is a waterfall iron rope inside, which you can try. Raincoats, straw sandals, and lockers are all available for rent inside the scenic spot, for a total of 15 yuan, so there is no need to buy them from the scalpers below. The mountain is not very high, and it only takes more than half an hour to climb the mountain. You can take a small train down the mountain. It is a natural oxygen bar that is worth visiting.

Take a leisurely walk in the Gudong Scenic Area, and there are many waterfalls along the way. The scenic area has designed a waterfall climbing project with ingenuity. The purpose is to increase the interactivity and entertainment of tourists. Because the weather was very cold in December, not many people participated. The negative ion content next to the waterfall is very high, which is a natural oxygen bar. We walked on the small road in the mountains and enjoyed the natural beauty of the mountains. Climbing up the mountain along the road, there is a suspension bridge between the canyons. It is 62 meters high and more than 200 meters long. It is shaky when you walk up. Do you know what it feels like? I stood on the suspension bridge and looked down. The scenery of the entire scenic area was in sight. It was really a feast of beauty. Living in a city of reinforced concrete for a long time, what fills my ears is noise and hustle and bustle. It has been a long time since I have been so close to nature. The quaint Gudong and the original ecological landscape provide us with a space to release our souls.

Gudong Waterfall is 25 kilometers away from Guilin. The stream is clear and never dries up in all seasons. The waterfall has 13 levels, with a total drop of 90 meters and an average width of 20 meters. The forest coverage rate of Gudong Forest Waterfall Tourist Area is 96%. It is the closest, largest and most distinctive forest park to Guilin city.

需要大半天的時間去遊覽,最好是在夏天,古東瀑布有兩條綫路,陸路和水路,水路就是玩水,需要買一套裝備30塊錢,不買不給玩,爲了安全起見。上山下山加遊玩需要4個小時。

I went to Gudong Waterfall today. The ticket window was 70 yuan per person. Maybe because there are many scenic spots in Zhejiang, it felt very ordinary and there was no surprise. Let me tell you about the transportation route. Take the Guilin to Guanyan special line from Guilin Bus Terminal and get off at Gudong intersection. The ticket price is 15 yuan per person. At the intersection, you can take the local villagers' farm vehicles to enter, but I walked in, about 3 kilometers, and walked for more than 20 minutes. On the special line, you can also get off at the center of Daxu Town and take bus No. 108, but it feels that there are very few buses. I didn't encounter it on foot today. There is also a special bus route that passes through Guizhu Avenue in Daxu Town. You can rent a car (bicycles and electric cars are available) to go there, but the distance is far.

Everyone who has climbed the rocks says it is thrilling and not enough. If you go to Guilin, you must experience the excitement of climbing the six-level waterfall, which is rare in other scenic spots in China.

By Lazy Beginner |

The waterfall in the scenic area is the only one in the country that tourists can get close to. If you climb the waterfall, it will take at least 3-4 hours. Gudong Waterfall is quite suitable for young people. I think it is much more fun than going to Elephant Trunk Hill, Diecai Hill, etc., because you can climb the waterfall, which is a rare experience.

Gudong Waterfall is actually located next to Guanyan, where we have been before. Many people arrange to visit these two attractions in one day. The biggest feature of Gudong Waterfall is not the view but the climbing. Both adults and children can experience the fun of climbing the waterfall against the current.

At the gate, whether you are a group guest or an individual tourist, you will be assigned a park tour guide. Because climbing the waterfall requires renting straw sandals, helmets and other equipment, the shoes you take off will also be handed over to the tour guide for storage.

After entering the door, there is a pool of clear water in front of you. You can choose to take a bamboo raft or walk along the lake. The bamboo raft costs 10 yuan per person, but the distance is very short. Unless you really want to experience taking a boat, it is recommended to walk.

After landing, it is the place to rent straw sandals. There are packages of different prices. The most common one is a pair of shoes, a helmet and a mobile phone case. The upgraded version also has raincoats. We decided to have a good time getting wet, so we chose the cheapest package of 10 yuan. In fact, it is recommended that you don’t save your own shoes, because there is still a lot of walking after climbing the waterfall. If you bring your own shoes, you can change them immediately after climbing, instead of walking in wet straw sandals.

A waterfall that can be climbed, or walked in the waterfall. This is the first time I have seen such an attraction. It should be one of the few. It is very unique. The children are happy and the adults also think it is rare. It is very fun and definitely worth a visit.

It is a very worthwhile attraction to go there. Wear straw sandals to climb the waterfall. It is very suitable for young couples to go there. It is great if boys can take care of girls properly.

A natural aerobic bar, a good place to escape the heat and cool off, and also a more interesting attraction. You must try the climbable waterfall

By Star Fantasy Moon |

To be honest, the scenery is average, but there is a waterfall climbing activity, which is fun and cool in the summer. There are zip lines and slides to play on after you get to the top. The whole process takes about 3 hours. If you are not pressed for time, you can go and have fun.

Gudong Waterfall is worth a visit. Many people climb the waterfall for the first time. The first step is more difficult. It is a bit scary to climb for the first time, but it is also very exciting. You can play for an afternoon. It is usually visited together with Guanyan Scenic Area.

We went there in February, and it happened to rain. It was this rain that allowed us to see a different Gudong Waterfall. We were in the mist and drizzle, feeling the breath of nature. There was no haze here, only the smell of nature.

By Deji Gyatso |

This is very interesting. Wearing straw sandals and walking up the stream along the waterfall is recommended.

The ticket is 60 yuan, there is no half price. Wearing straw sandals to climb the small waterfall is a different experience, it is quite cool

The Gudong Forest Waterfall Scenic Area is located in the south of Daxu Ancient Town, Lingchuan County, Guilin City, 8 kilometers from the Guilin-Guanyan Tourist Highway, and 25 kilometers from Guilin City. It is a newly developed tourist attraction. The Gudong Forest Waterfall is about 17 meters high. There are iron chains on both sides for tourists to use as handrails. The spring water is cool, and your feet fall into the water and feel refreshed. In fact, after starting to climb the waterfall, no one is not wet. To take the words of the tour guide, it is impossible to go to Guilin without getting wet. Climbing the waterfall is a brave activity. Although there is no big danger, it requires tourists to exert their physical strength. Following others often splashes with water. It is difficult to climb up quickly after entering the water. The feet take turns to climb up. There are people behind to urge the tourists. The more they want to climb up, the harder they can't walk. They hold the iron chain and swing in the air; occasionally, the people behind will help the people above to hold their feet, and work together to climb the difficult ones, which is also a team spirit of unity and cooperation; along the stream, the water is deep and shallow, and the second waterfall is obviously much smaller than the first, so it passes quickly,

The scenery is beautiful, awesome!!! Worth a visit!!

It's worth a visit. The weather was fine when I went there, so I decided to go climbing. I recommend buying straw shoes, which are not slippery. It was very exciting. The slope of the second picture was a bit steep, and the water made it difficult to open my eyes. I didn't wear a raincoat, so it was easy to climb. But my clothes were all wet.

I went to Gudong Waterfall Scenic Area for a day. The scenery of the scenic area is really nice, the water is very clear and the air is very good. It is the best time to go for a stroll on weekends. I heard many people say that they don’t know how to get there, so I will share the transportation route with you! (There is a special bus from Guilin to Guanyan at the bus terminal, passing Gudong, the ticket price is 15 yuan, I personally think it is expensive, and you get off at Gudong intersection, which is actually the entrance to the village. The scenic area is at the other end of the village. It takes 30 minutes to walk to the entrance of the scenic area. It’s exhausting... I don’t recommend this transportation plan!)! ! The more affordable and convenient plan is the following plan! Take the shuttle bus from Lingchuan to Daxu from Guilin City (it is more convenient to wait at any stop on the road east of Sanlidian Big Round Plate) for 5 yuan to get on and off at Daxu Town, about 40 minutes. After getting off, you don’t need to cross the road to directly transfer to the 108 bus from Daxu to Gudong Waterfall Scenic Area for 2 yuan (please bring your own change for automatic coin-operated buses), and it will take about 20 minutes to the entrance of the scenic area! There is no bus stop in Daxu Town, so the bus stops on the side of the road. If you can't find the bus when you transfer to the scenic spot, ask passers-by! Don't take a tricycle in the town, the tricycle costs 15 yuan! The owner will overcharge you, and dare to ask for 20 yuan. Remember that the 108 bus directly to the entrance of the scenic spot costs 2 yuan! The ticket price for the scenic spot is 75 yuan. Friends from Guilin City and its subordinate counties, please bring your ID card, the ticket price is 30 yuan, and if you are a student, it is also 30 yuan with a student ID. The scenic spot closes at 17:00 in the afternoon, so remember to leave in advance, and leave before 16:30 at the latest, otherwise you will miss the 108 bus back to Daxu Town.

A favorite scenic spot, the most amazing place in Guilin. I really like this waterfall that can be climbed. You can only climb the waterfall by changing into straw sandals and helmets at the foot of the mountain. It doesn't matter if you don't dare to climb, there is a small path next to it to go up the mountain. The waterfall is divided into several levels, some are thrilling and some are gentle, you can choose it yourself. I prefer to climb up without wearing a raincoat. It feels very comfortable to be wet in the hot weather. The whole scenic area is full of towering trees. It is very comfortable to come here in summer, and it will not be exposed to the sun. It is a natural oxygen bar. There is also a stone road with Guilin dialect engraved on it, which is very interesting.

This Gudong Waterfall is located in the eastern suburbs of Guilin. You can visit it together with the Daxu Ancient Town and Guanyan Scenic Area. Summer is the best time to visit. Wearing raincoats and straw sandals, walking on the steep stone walls upstream is exciting and cool, which is also the biggest feature of Gudong Waterfall. Autumn is also a good time to visit Gudong Waterfall. The red maple forests all over the mountains are fascinating.

It was early winter when we went there. Although it was not the best season, we had a lot of fun. We entered the scenic area at 10:30. We first crossed the wind and rain bridge with Guilin characteristics, and then took a bamboo raft to wade across Sanjie Lake. There was a thatched house on the island in the middle of the lake in Sanjie Lake. There was a sister standing on the island singing Liu Sanjie folk songs. The locals on our boat also sang a duet with the sister, which was quite interesting. After landing, we strolled to the Ecological Environmental Protection Square, where there are bronze sculptures of eyes, ears, noses, feet, hands, etc., calling on people to protect nature. Then the waterfall area is not far away. Going up the steps, there are 9 waterfalls of different sizes along the way, including Shengui Yinjian, Konggu Lianli, Xiumu Qiansi, Longyin Zaitian, etc. The water is really clear and I really want to go down and soak my feet. Then take a rest in the pavilion on the top of the mountain and go to the suspension bridge. This suspension bridge is 62 meters high, and there is a cliff below. There are always a few tourists who deliberately shake the suspension bridge, causing girls to scream.

After crossing the suspension bridge, you will go down the mountain. You can choose to walk down the steps or take the exciting "zipline" down the mountain. We walked down the steps, and we could enjoy the maple forest gallery all over the mountain. Unfortunately, there was only a small red maple forest when we went there. It would be beautiful if the maple forest was all dyed red. The stone slabs of the steps are quite interesting. They are engraved with Guilin local dialects such as "chatter", "good wake up", "mimi momo", and "object count". If you pay attention, you can learn a few sentences. There is a forest park on the mountainside, with several swings, etc. We played for a while and then went down the mountain. Going down to the foot of the mountain is to return to the Ecological Environmental Protection Square, and then we rented a few horses and walked slowly back to the Wind and Rain Bridge along the carriage road. It was 13:00 when we returned to the entrance of the scenic area. The whole journey took 2.5 hours. We saw the big waterfall, walked across the 62-meter-high suspension bridge, and breathed oxygen to moisten the lungs. It was a very pleasant journey.

tips:

1. [Transportation] Take the Guanyan special bus from the back door of Guilin Bus Station to Gudong Forest Waterfall, the fare is about 15 yuan/person

2. Tickets: 75 yuan, opening hours 8:30-17:00.

A waterfall that can be climbed is unique.

Gudong Waterfall is the only waterfall group in Guilin that can be climbed. Young people like it very much. If you bring your children to Guilin, you should go there to have a look, relax and feel good.

By .Li. |

It is suitable for playing in the water and climbing the waterfall in summer, which makes people feel like returning to nature.

By Idealism |

Wearing straw sandals and wading through the water to climb the waterfall is so cool ~ This is also unique in the country. It’s a pity that all the tour groups are here, and there are too many people.

By Jingle Bells |

This is a highlight and surprise of this trip. I didn't plan to go there. I didn't want to go to Xiangshan, Fuposhan, etc. I didn't feel it was very interesting. I suddenly had an idea that Gudong Waterfall should be good (also suitable for people like us who love to play), so I decided to go to Gudong. The hotel has a one-day tour of Guanyan Gudong, the price is 350, I feel that the cost performance is not high. First, there is no need to go to the cave after visiting Yinziyan, and second, I don't want to join the group and waste time. It's better to go by yourself. In the past, take the minibus to Guanyan (15 yuan/person) at the bus terminal in the city (the first bus at 7:30), passing the intersection of Gudong Scenic Area (12 to Gudong). It took 1 hour to reach the intersection of Gudong Scenic Area. Here is a reminder for friends who go there, don't trust the "ticket seller" who comes up to collect money (collecting 20 yuan) when getting on the bus, that's fake, the actual fare is 12 yuan.

The scenic spot itself is exciting and fun, and is suitable for family trips and girlfriend trips. For the elderly, please consider your personal physical factors. Another point to emphasize is that the scenic spot is a natural oxygen bar with extremely fresh air. There, you just want to take a deep breath and take a deep breath again. Haha, it's not an exaggeration at all~

A must-do activity for young people, wearing straw sandals and raincoats, and looking over the mountains from the water. It is really not as good as walking through the waterfall in straw sandals. However, I remind my friends to bring a set of dry clothes and change into them after the waterfall trip to prevent colds.

Time is very tight, so I followed a one-day tour. Gudong Waterfall is worth a visit. Anyone who likes playing in the water can go there and play from beginning to end~~~ There are other slides and other entertainment projects when going down the mountain...

By flying |

There are nine levels in total in Gudong Waterfall. Except for the first level which is quite scary, the rest are basically just walking around. It is quite interesting. The first level is climbed up purely by hands and feet. The water of the waterfall hits my face and I feel a little breathless. I personally feel that raincoats are useless because they are definitely completely transparent. However, they will dry out in a short time in the hot summer. There is no need to wear raincoats except for the first level. It is no different from walking up the stairs. How can you get wet if you don't fall? So in short, you don't need to buy a raincoat. It costs 15 yuan to buy a raincoat, and 10 yuan if you don't buy it. In fact, the biggest advantage of 15 yuan is that you can have a separate cabinet of your own, but because it is the peak season, so in fact 15 yuan is just to buy an extra raincoat~ In fact, 10 yuan is quite worth it, a waterproof mobile phone bag, a pair of straw sandals, a handkerchief, and a helmet. This is the first time I know that ten yuan can buy so many things!

The waterfall in Gudong is the most thrilling and exciting. Just like Li Bai said: "The waterfall falls three thousand feet straight down, and it seems like the Milky Way falls from the sky". Climbing the waterfall is really thrilling. We climbed up step by step with the rope. The stone wall is very steep, and the surface of the stone wall is slippery due to the years of waves. If you are not careful, you will slide down. The white water washes my little feet, which is really comfortable and exciting, just like eating a popsicle. I slowly climbed onto a big rock, but the rock was too slippery. I fell down before I stood firmly. Fortunately, I was safe.

It is just the right time to visit Gudong Waterfall on such a hot summer day. Firstly, the water volume is larger in summer and the waterfall is more spectacular; secondly, you don't have to worry about getting soaked when playing in the waterfall. Gudong Waterfall is a nine-level series waterfall formed by the confluence of underground spring water. However, the biggest highlight of Gudong Waterfall is that it is the only waterfall in the country that people can get close to. People can climb the waterfall along the terrain of the mountain. Of course, in order to avoid getting soaked, you need to buy equipment such as raincoats and straw shoes provided by the scenic spot to avoid being soaked and the safety of your belongings. The equipment is divided into two types: 10 yuan and 15 yuan, which can be purchased as needed. If you only visit and do not experience climbing, you can choose not to buy it, but the author strongly recommends the climbing experience, especially in hot summer.

The white spring water flows down from the height of the mountain at a high speed, stirring up layers of waves in the pool water below the waterfall, just like a fairyland on earth. You can climb the mountain along the mountain trail to visit the waterfall, or you can climb the waterfall along the stone steps on the waterfall, grab the artificial iron chain and get close to the waterfall. There are eight waterfalls and nine pools in the high mountains and dense forests. Each one has its own name, such as "Scholar Unfolding the Scroll" and "Showing the Curtain Silk Pulling", which are very lifelike. When you climb the last level of the waterfall, you will naturally reach the top of the mountain. Standing on the top of the mountain, looking at the Milky Way-like waterfall and the dense forest, listening to the rumbling sound of water, you will feel relaxed and happy. Although it is not as majestic as the Huangguoshu Waterfall, nor does it have the artistic conception of "the Milky Way is suspected to fall from the sky" of the Lushan Waterfall, it is very beautiful and friendly. Perhaps the Gudong Waterfall is the most suitable tourist scenic spot for me, because my age is no longer suitable for going to Happy Valley to play thrilling projects.

Gudong Waterfall is 25 kilometers away from Guilin City. It is a newly developed tourist attraction. The forest coverage rate of Gudong Forest Waterfall Group is 96%. The mountain spring water, native chickens and ducks, bamboo shoots and wild vegetables in the scenic area are very popular. The ticket is 60 yuan. The zipline in the scenic area is quite exciting, but the time is too short. It costs 20 yuan per person. If you haven't played it before, you can try it. Someone will take a photo for you as a souvenir, 20 yuan per photo.

Going to the Gudong Waterfall on the Li River is one of the itineraries we signed up for. We went there in April this year and it felt pretty good. However, Guilin is also getting hot in April, so you must take sun protection measures when you go, such as sunglasses and sunscreen. If you choose to go to the Li River Waterfall by water, you need to buy a pair of straw sandals and a raincoat at the scenic spot, which costs about 20 yuan (you can rent a locker temporarily and store all your things in it). We chose the water route, which was quite exciting. You can climb along the rock wall by pulling the iron rope, which is also a challenge. I have never worn straw sandals before, and I want to experience the feeling of rock climbing + water impact. When you reach the end of the climb, there will be professionals to take pictures for you, and you must pose well.... (It is not recommended for elderly people to go by water because it is unsafe and easy to slip when stepping on stones...) The picture above...

After getting off the bus at Gudong, there is still some distance to the scenic spot. You can take a 5-yuan electric car to get in. We chose to walk, which took about 20 minutes. We were tired after playing, so we took the bus out. You still need to buy waterproof equipment to climb the waterfall! Especially straw shoes, which are very necessary for anti-slip! Because the waterfall is definitely more exciting than you think! !

There are two types of waterproof suits, most people buy the 15 yuan one, which is not too expensive. Because it is not convenient to take pictures of the waterfall, I don’t have many pictures, all of which were taken with my mobile phone.

The first waterfall is the most exciting! The most steep! The longest! When climbing, many people climbed from the left side because there was almost no wading, but a tour guide said "You can also climb on the right side". When we looked, my god~~ The iron chain was all in the waterfall~~

My classmate Ye and I decided to challenge our limits and climb from the right side! !

The first time I stepped down, I was splashed with water! The waterfall was rushing towards me, so scary! I couldn’t let go of the chain!

It turns out that our choice was right! If you can go there, I suggest you climb from the right side, which is much more exciting than the left side!

It takes about an hour to climb the entire waterfall. It is really fun. Except for the first waterfall, children are not allowed to climb the other waterfalls. Although it looks dangerous, there are holes on the rocks for you to step on. It is very safe. There are several ways to go down the mountain after climbing: take a train, zip line, or hike.

In order to save money, we chose to go down~

During the trip, we passed a cable bridge, which was said to be 62 meters above the ground. When we walked to the middle and looked down, it was really scary.

When there are a lot of people, the bridge will shake violently... For students like YY who are afraid of heights, it is a big challenge.

Wearing straw sandals to climb the waterfall is a special feature here, and the straw sandals are handmade by locals, which are very durable. In addition to this water route to climb the waterfall, other scenery in the scenic area is also worth seeing. The most impressive thing is the slimming shop, suspension bridge, and zip line along the way, which are very suitable for taking pictures and playing, and we also had a lot of fun.

It’s so much fun, especially it’s perfect for bringing children along. Dear friends, don’t miss this unique attraction!

To be honest, Gudong Waterfall is no different from the mountain streams in the mountains of Jiangsu and Zhejiang. It is beautiful and you can breathe in the fresh air, but the highlight is that you can climb this waterfall. Be sure to change your equipment before setting off, including straw sandals, helmets and raincoats.

By New Heart |

It's right to go there in the summer. Climbing a waterfall scares me to death.

By Xingxingxin |

It was fun! There were too many people taking photos along the way. There was a lot of preparation before going, such as wearing straw sandals and storing things! The most unexpected thing was that people actually wore straw sandals down the mountain after climbing the waterfall! I should have brought a pair of shoes earlier! The straw sandals were quite soft when soaked in the water, but they were very prickly when they dried! Be sure to pay attention to safety, and it is best to wear shorts or something, because you will be wet after climbing the waterfall. It is not comfortable to wear wet pants all day!

Gudong Waterfall is located in Daxu Town, Lingchuan County, 25 kilometers away from downtown Guilin. We went there in 2008 when we were freshmen. At that time, there was a special offer. We could form a group of eight people. The group fee, including tickets and round-trip fares, was only more than 20 yuan. Looking back now, it seems super cost-effective (now the ticket is 60 yuan). It is recommended to go in summer, when there is plenty of water and you can escape the heat. Climbing the waterfall is a great experience, but you must first buy a pair of anti-slip straw shoes and rent a safety helmet. I forgot the price. If you are worried about your clothes getting wet, you can bring an extra set of clothes or wear a raincoat. Another popular attraction in the scenic area is the suspension bridge, where you can enjoy the beautiful scenery of the forest.

At first, I thought Gudong Waterfall was a waterfall as magnificent as Huangguoshu or Hukou Waterfall, but later I found out that it was not the case. This is the only place in the country where you can climb waterfalls. I didn't dare to try it because I am not an adventurer, but I have great respect for adventurers. There are two ways to visit the entire scenic area: water climbing and land walking. We chose the land route. If you want to climb the waterfall, you have to pay 10-15 yuan to buy equipment, including: straw shoes, helmets, raincoats, and waterproof bags. I traveled lightly and didn't bring anything. I threw everything in the car. While waiting for my companions to buy equipment, I sweated the most ever... Many heroes are climbing waterfalls. I am daunted!
