You must go to Weizhou Island once when you go to Beihai. I missed it last year, so I must make up for it this time. The cost of going to the island is not cheap. The one-way ordinary boat ticket is 150 yuan per person, and you have to book it in advance with your ID card. As for the food, Weizhou Island is 50/person/meal. Don't go there just because it has five stars on Meituan. You will be cheated and can only fill you up but not the food. In short, if you spend the same amount of time and have a higher budget, I still recommend you to go on a group tour to Thailand.

The voyage from Beihai to Weizhou Island takes nearly 70 minutes. Although the ship is large, seasickness is a problem that everyone cannot ignore. It is recommended to take seasickness medicine in advance and prepare bayberry, wind oil, etc. How to say it, if the weather is fine and the sea is calm, there will be no such problem, but if the wind and waves are strong... Don't say "I don't get seasick" or you will be slapped in the face!

I don't get carsick or seasick, but this trip was windy and rough, and I really felt sick! Fortunately, I didn't vomit yet. I would have to get a plastic bag in 5 more minutes! In fact, if you don't go on vacation, 2 days are enough for a sightseeing tour around the island, but considering the round-trip boat tickets and entrance fees, it feels like it would be more cost-effective to stay for at least 3 days.

The purpose of coming to the island is to enjoy the natural scenery, so riding a motorcycle around the island is a good choice. Go to the island's attractions to take a quick look. Buying seafood at the seafood pier and processing it at the hotel is not cheap, but at least it is fresh.

Why don't they just rob people? And the selling price is not cheap to begin with, and it's not even weighed! There are still dead shrimps after taking them out from the processing place! As a result, only 6 mantis shrimps were processed out of the one and a half kilograms! ! The processing fee is also very expensive! The taste is very average! Later, we went back to Beihai Old Street to eat a plate of fried shrimps for only 48, each one was very big, and there were more than 10 shrimps in a plate. The taste is not bad. Weizhou Island's behavior of cheating tourists really affects its good reviews! In short, you can only find a homestay to stay there and look at the sea. There are three ways to travel around the island:

1. We rented an electric car at the inn for 70 yuan per day, and the battery was enough for a tour around the island

2. You can also rent an islander's three-wheeled electric vehicle, which can seat 4 to 5 people

3. Take the bus on the island. There are now three bus lines on the island, with a fare of 5 yuan per trip. If you buy it at the Beihai International Passenger Port Terminal, it costs 30 yuan per 10 trips.

Although the sea breeze of Weizhou Island is not as refreshing as that of Krabi in Thailand, it is much better than that of Silver Beach!! We had heard that things on the island were expensive, so we bought some water and dry food. It turned out that it was totally unnecessary. The island was indeed generally more expensive, but there were also many supermarkets, and the prices were the same as outside the island, and they were cheaper than the things at the pier. It was impossible to bring enough heavy consumables like water. If you were thirsty, you would have to drink it no matter how much it cost. So, don't be a porter of mineral water, just go to the island easily.

Weizhou Island is really very relaxing. The dogs you see on the road basically sleep anywhere. Most of the B&Bs on Weizhou Island are owned by local residents, but many are unwilling to operate them and hand them over to outsiders. However, they still live in the same house, and you can see the fusion of two lifestyles.

Because the number of boats going to the island is controlled and the number of people is also limited, so generally speaking there won’t be a lot of people. After all, the island is not big, the attractions are concentrated, and the resources are limited!

To be honest, it took us 24 hours to drive to this place. The scenery along the way was very pleasant. When we arrived in Guizhou, we felt like we were in a fairyland. We didn’t take many photos along the way. It was already past 1 a.m. when we arrived at our destination. However, it is quite nice to have a vacation here, it is quiet and cool. On the first night, we chose a Holiday Inn because we came in a hurry. After that, we found a homestay and stayed there for 5 days.

I was recommended to visit Weizhou Island by someone at the beginning of the year, and finally made the trip in September. Before coming, I saw how scary the guides were, but I didn't expect them to be true. The summary is as follows:

1. The scenery is OK, but the sanitation is too bad. I live near Dishui Danping, and it can be said that no one manages the sanitation. 2. There is basically no operation management, which can be said to be very casual. The Wucai Beach and the Catholic Church attractions I visited are quite far from the parking lot, and it takes more than 20 minutes to walk. I don’t know whether it is to collect parking fees for electric vehicles or to collect sightseeing tickets. The only one that requires ticket inspection is the Crocodile Island Volcano Park, which was originally what I was most looking forward to. However, I had no intention of visiting it because it was too exposed to the sun, because there was no place to shade and cool down. I went there in early September, and everyone was sweating. The Nongfu Spring mineral water in the vending machine is 5 yuan a bottle.

3. The islanders are very cunning. They dare to charge parking fees for a shack. Electric cars are 5 yuan each. There is a shack at the intersection of the Catholic Church that claims to be free parking. They kept saying that we had to walk 1 kilometer inside and drive us there. It was 5 yuan per person, one way. After we chose to walk there, the islander stuffed a business card in front of us, saying that it was too hot and if we didn’t want to walk, we could call him and he would pick us up. Finally, he said that if we came back to take a car, we must call him. If we take someone else’s car, I will charge you for parking. Brother, do you think you are a reincarnation? This is not an isolated case. The islanders act as if they have never seen money. The government wants to manage it, but it can’t.

4. The seafood market is a bit of a scam. Some netizens have said that the prices are different on the scale. For example, if it is 25 yuan per catty, you can weigh it as 35 yuan. You must be careful. The price of seafood changes every day. In the peak season, mantis shrimps can cost more than 100 yuan per catty. When we went there, it was off-season and the price was 25 yuan per catty. It is hard to say whether it is enough to weigh.

The two days and one night in Weizhou Island were spent in the sun and various fees. Now I think that what remains in my memory is the beautiful sunset glow of Dishui Danping. When designing the itinerary, I was considering whether to stay for three days and two nights. Now it seems that it is right to stay one day less. After returning from Beihai, I went to Nanning. The management of Qingxiu Mountain is 10 blocks away from Weizhou Island. Friends who want to go just need to be mentally prepared.

The sand on Weizhou Island Beach is quite coarse and not soft at all, so it is not suitable for playing barefoot.

I love this place. I feel like I can never get enough of the seafood. The seafood here is really cheap. I personally prefer this place to Sanya.

I feel that Weizhou Island should be the most expensive place in Beihai. You need to buy a boat ticket and a scenic spot ticket to go to the island. I thought the sea on the island should be cleaner, but I didn't expect that I was wrong. The sea water in Haihe and Beidaihe, where I have been to several scenic spots, is similar, and the beach is also average. After all, it's enough to come once, and it's considered that I have been there. It's better to go to other places with such an expensive fee.

I went there in 2005. I heard that it is very commercialized now. When I went there, tourism development was not mature. I took a scheduled boat. The water was very blue, there were beautiful beaches and volcanic rocks, and the sea view was unforgettable.

In fact, no matter what, keep a normal heart and look at it from the perspective of passers-by, so that you can be impartial and find the moment that moves your heart.

The sea of Weizhou Island is very beautiful, clear and blue. The sunrise in the morning is also spectacular. The seafood is super fresh. It is worth a visit. The main problem of Weizhou Island is power outages. Every household has a generator. I stayed there for two days and there was a power outage every night, but it was fine after a while. Then there are restaurants. Many stores feel unhygienic, but these problems are related to the inconvenience of transporting resources on the island. Everything else is very satisfactory.

The characteristic of the east coastline is that it changes from a rocky beach to a sandy beach and then to a gentle and spacious sandy beach. From Wucai Beach to Shell Beach is an ideal location to watch the sunrise, and the sea erosion platform and sea erosion cliff caves are spectacular.

Regarding tickets to the island, for discounted tickets, you can go to the island and queue up to buy them to save some money. If you can buy discounted tickets, you don’t need to buy full tickets. It will take about 10 minutes to queue.

For tickets and boat tickets, it is best to book them on the official website if possible, otherwise you will have to queue for a very long time on site, don't be so stupid.

Regarding time, if you have already booked tickets or boat tickets, you only need to arrive at Beihai International Terminal 45 minutes in advance.

4. For example, the hotel I stayed at didn't start the generator due to a power outage in the second half of the night, and I woke up in the heat.

The deepest impression left on me by Weizhou Island is the soft sandy beach of Lost Beach that stretches to the sunset. Walking barefoot, facing the wind, along the coastline until the end of the sunset, watching the seaweed swaying, watching the passers-by jumping and taking pictures, I feel extremely comfortable. Walking like this for a while, and then lying down for half a day, it is perfect.
