Xingping Ancient Town no longer has the bustle of the past. Some shops are even closed. It is crowded with tourists during the day but disappears at night. Everything returns to its normal state.

Xingping Ancient Town belongs to tourists during the day and locals at night. It is a very pleasant thing to chat with the kind old ladies in the ancient town and the bosses of the specialty shops. There are no noisy bars and no roar of cruise ships. Whether it is the locals chatting and laughing by the Li River or the aunties dancing in the square, the Li River has also returned to calm. The peaceful and peaceful scene makes people feel extremely comfortable.

It is highly recommended to stay in Xingping for one night. I personally like to stay in the farmhouse in Xiaobei Village across the bridge. The address is excellent and easy to find. It is next to the Li River and the 20 yuan background shooting location. The innkeepers are all very nice.

If you are lucky, you can go to the top of the building to see the clouds in the morning, or climb Laozhai Mountain to see the sea of clouds and overlook the Li River. However, the mountain road is slippery and steep, so be careful when walking. The ancient town is not big. Since the construction of Yangshuo Station, more and more people have come to Xingping (Yangshuo Station is more than 10 kilometers away from Xingping and more than 30 kilometers away from Yangshuo). The food consumption in the ancient town is not low. You can basically walk through the ancient town in 30 minutes. However, the main attractions in Xingping are to see Yuanbao Mountain (20 yuan background picture), take a cruise to see Jiuma Painting Mountain, climb Laozhai Mountain and Xianggong Mountain (highly recommended), the scenery is very beautiful, and you can watch the sunset if the weather is good. It is recommended to stay in Xingping for one night, or take a ferry to Dahebei Village on the opposite side of the river to walk along the river (be sure to go with friends).

1. Drift to Jiuma Painting Mountain, and after getting ashore, follow the instructions to find the place to take the sightseeing bus to Xingping Ancient Town. Don't listen to the people outside soliciting customers. There is a special place to wait for the bus. Leave when it is full.

2. On the way, you will pass the 20 RMB place, which is towards Banshan Wharf. There are a lot of people there. The car I took stopped before Xingping Ancient Town. It took less than five minutes to walk back. After taking pictures, it took about 15 minutes to walk to Xingping Ancient Town.

3. Xingping Ancient Town, I personally don't recommend going there. Maybe it was during the holidays, there were so many people. We just walked along one street and walked away. It was all selling things. It was too commercialized. I didn't take many photos! There is a bus to Yangshuo from Xingping Bus Station. There are so many people. I waited in line for a long time before I got on the bus.

From the southeast of Xingping Ancient Town to the Rongshutan of Lijiang River and the Gudu Wharf, it is convenient for residents and merchants to travel. Guild halls of various provinces are built on both sides of the ancient street. Most of the ancient buildings with brick and tile structures are well preserved. The outline of the city wall is still clear, and fragments of ancient bricks, tiles and ceramics can be seen everywhere. However, the prosperous county town with "carriages and horses coming and going and people watching each other" now presents a solemn atmosphere with green mountains and a few villages.

Xingping is located in the northeast of Yangshuo County, 25 kilometers away from the county seat. Most of the ancient buildings with brick and tile structures are well preserved. As early as the first year of Ganlu in the Three Kingdoms period (265 AD), Xingping Town was the seat of Xiping County, which governed the Yangshuo area. In the tenth year of Kaihuang in the Sui Dynasty (590 AD), Xiping County was abolished and replaced by Yangshuo County, and Xingping was then under the jurisdiction of Yangshuo County. There are eight major scenic spots and 24 scenic spots in the area, including Jiumahua Mountain, Luosi Mountain, Lianhuayan, Tianshuizhai, and Lingbao Pavilion, which are breathtaking.

Take the high-speed rail here in the morning, turn left and you will see the special bus, which costs 5 yuan to go directly to Xingping Ancient Town, pass Fuli Ancient Town, get off at the bus station, turn right and you will see the old street, where you can find all kinds of local delicacies and handicrafts.

After walking through the old street to the pier, you can see the panoramic view of the pier. The bamboo rafts beside are motorized and take 20 minutes to go back and forth. If you have the energy and are not in a hurry, you can rent a bicycle or mountain bike to ride, or walk along the river. There are also battery cars along the river. It takes about two or three hours to complete the highlight section.

There is a pavilion on the top of the mountain next to the pier, which is Laozhai Mountain. It is also a good viewing platform. There are stone steps to the top. If the weather is good, you can go up and have a look. It takes about half an hour to climb. The mountain road is steep, so pay attention to safety. Go down the mountain before dark. You can bring some energy to replenish your energy when you go up the mountain. Go up the mountain lightly and the scenery is unique.

If you have enough time, you can spend another day visiting the ancient fishing village or take a ferry to the other side for a stroll.

Everyone came to Xingping to see the 20-yuan background image. We had been to other background image locations before, but no one took pictures with the money. But when we came here, the tour guide took the lead in lending us banknotes to take pictures. The tour guides here all love taking pictures...

You can choose to pay the photographer to take SLR photos, or you can take photos yourself. There are also ospreys and uncles on the boat. The uncle here only charges 5 yuan. Thinking about it this way, the 10 yuan IQ fee just now is really not right, haha. We stayed at Yangshuo West Street at night. This place is also very beautiful. There is a mountain behind the B&B where we stayed. It feels so good to be able to see the mountain just by turning your head.

After getting off the boat on the Li River, we arrived at Xingping Ancient Town. We had lunch here and then went to the Yinziyan Scenic Area. This is a large karst cave. There are free photo spots inside, but don't buy photos. The photo frames are very expensive, 40 each.

You can see the photos after taking them. If you want, you can pay 25 yuan for one photo, 100 yuan for 5 photos, 160 yuan for 8 photos and a small photo album.

There will also be fishermen holding rafts and bringing cormorants on board. You need to pay the fishermen 5 yuan for taking pictures.

I went there during the National Day this year. Many places in the town are still under renovation. The roads are quite dusty and commercial. Maybe the environment will be much better after the renovation is completed. If the weather is good, you can also check in at the 20 yuan position.

Xingping Ancient Town is not very big, but because it was the off-season when I went there, it gave people a quiet and ancient feeling.

There is a small island in the ancient town. After going to the island, you can feel the different scenery on the bamboo raft along the ring road, which is even more fairyland.

It is not recommended to live in Xingping as the range of activities is limited.

The pace of the ancient town is not fast. There are many tourists at noon. The morning and evening are relatively comfortable. I recommend "that small shop" in the town. The private dishes are delicious and unforgettable. It should be noted that most of the small shops in the town are closed at dark. There is no nightlife.

When I was traveling along the Li River, I passed by this place. There was only one street with shops on both sides, and I didn't see any ancient monuments.

Personally, I think this is the best place to enjoy the scenery of the Li River. If you have time, you can stay here for a few more days.

Friends who go to the ancient town must be careful not to be deceived. My relative was cheated of more than 3,000 yuan in this store and bought the so-called waist-tonifying medicinal materials. At that time, he was walking around the ancient town alone, and was deceived by several agents and the boss of a medicinal material store to buy the Yinyangzi. Before we agreed on the price, they said it had been ground into powder. This is obviously a scam. The old man was not proficient in Mandarin, so he said it would cost more than 6,000 yuan. Then he only had 1,500 yuan in cash, so he would not be allowed to leave. He called us to come over, and finally gave us more than 3,000 yuan. The domestic tourism environment still needs to be improved. The agents on the street, those who carry briefcases and dress elegantly, are all scammers. You can go up to Laozhaishan next to Xingping Wharf to see the scenery of the entire Li River. In addition to some artworks, there are some restaurants on the street, but the restaurant business here is relatively bleak, and there are not many tourists to eat. From the bus station, go through Xingping Ancient Street to the end and turn right to the exit to reach Xingping Wharf, which is also the place where tourists take bamboo rafts. Walk over from the bridge of the wharf, and you will reach the first scene of the Li River, the 20-yuan background picture, not far away. This section of bamboo rafting is also the highlight of the Li River. Many tourists who follow the group also start rafting here.

After rafting on the best section of the Li River, you can come here. Compared with the bustling West Street, Xingping is simple and quaint, with smooth bluestone slabs, which shows the original flavor of Yangshuo. The town is not too commercial. As you walk along the road, you will see many local residents, all holding paper umbrellas, which is very romantic.
