The West Street, which has a history of more than 1,400 years, is the oldest and most prosperous street in Yangshuo and one of the important tourist attractions in Yangshuo.
West Street is a combination of many words such as foraging, shopping, and bar-hopping. Because of its richness and diversity, it has become a unique and beautiful landscape in Yangshuo.
The street, less than 1 km long, is built of stone slabs in a curved S shape. The houses on both sides are simple and elegant, in the style of the Ming and Qing Dynasties in northern Guangxi, with small green tiles, sloping roofs, white walls and hanging balconies.
The streets are filled with all kinds of tourist souvenirs. The shops on both sides are a combination of Chinese and Western styles. Almost all the signs are in Chinese and English, and the waiters can serve tourists in fluent foreign languages.
When you come to West Street, you must try the beer fish, which has a long-standing reputation as Yangshuo's number one dish. There are also many bars here. When night falls, it is more lively than during the day.

When we came back from Xingping Ancient Town, we met a bridge driver who said that if we wanted to go to West Street, we could get off and walk there. It took about half an hour. There were so many people, probably because it was the holiday! There were vendors selling things around, and there seemed to be a performance, which was singing Liu Sanjie's duet. Tickets were required, but it was not clear on the bridge. We walked around and returned to the B&B!
West Street is the most crowded place in Yangshuo. Because of the lively atmosphere of West Street, traffic jams often occur around it. There are many snacks on West Street. You can eat and eat here. Many shops are very petty. If there are not many people, it is also a kind of enjoyment to take photos and walk around. West Street is particularly beautiful at night, with flashing neon lights, outlining a wonderful picture.
A famous tourist attraction! It is a very commercial "ancient street" with many people and very noisy. At night, it can be said to be a bit smoky... But if you have a low budget and want to travel around for a short distance, this is still okay... But I strongly recommend not to stay on West Street. Although you can experience the local characteristics up close, I can say responsibly that you will be very upset at night! Unless you don't plan to have a good sleep... Haha!
There are two recommended inns on Fuqian Street near Yangshuo West Street: "Lazy Hall" and "Wuming Hall". We stayed in "Lazy Hall" at that time. The room also had a balcony. We bought barbecue and beer in the evening and had fun here. It was very clean and comfortable, and the price was not expensive. The opposite "Wuming Hall" has swings on the balcony of some rooms, which is also a very tasteful inn.
I visited here on February 5, 2019. West Street is a commercial pedestrian street with a lot of people. It is recommended that friends who drive should park their cars at the hotel and walk there because it is difficult to park there. You can try the beer fish inside. The Lijiang sesame swordfish we ate was 158 per catty. It was made by a master chef. It tasted great and had no fish bones. Children can eat it. The Chengdu ear cleaning in the commercial street is a bit of a rip-off. At first, it said 30 to clean the ears, and then they said to wash the medicine and add 30, and then it became 60.
The old street is adjacent to the new street. Most of the old streets have older buildings. These old streets and ancient cities are mostly of the same style, selling snacks from all over the country and small commodities wholesaled from Yiwu. When I was a child, I had bought and played enough of these things, and I had no interest in seeing those shops again. We walked to the end and still didn't go into any of the shops on West Street. There are many people on West Street, and the lighting is also good, but it is naturally not as good as the scenery near the Sun and Moon Twin Pagodas in Guilin. Along the way, it can be said that there is a master chef beer fish every 200m or even shorter, and other brands of beer fish are mixed in, which can be called "Beer Fish Street". Although there are snail noodles on the street, most of them are small shops.
Yangshuo West Street is a pedestrian street in Yangshuo County, Guilin City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. With a history of more than 1,400 years, it is the oldest and most prosperous street in Yangshuo, and one of the important tourist attractions in Yangshuo. It was once the place where Mr. Sun Yat-sen gave a speech, the art master Xu Beihong also lived here, and leaders of more than 150 countries have left their footprints here.
After the victory of the Anti-Japanese War, West Street once went into decline. It was not until the early 1970s that Yangshuo opened to the outside world and Western tourists discovered West Street. At the same time, they showed great interest in the local simple and elegant houses, traditional culture, folk customs, and folk customs. Since then, more than hundreds of thousands of foreign tourists have visited West Street for sightseeing and leisure every year. Some of them stayed for a few days, ten days or half a month, and some stayed for a year or several years. Some simply got married and opened a shop in West Street. West Street has become a "foreigner street" where Chinese and Western cultures blend, a "global village" beyond the region, and a large-scale "foreign language corner".
West Street is very lively, with people everywhere. There are various quaint shops on the roadside and it is surrounded by green mountains and clear waters.
West Street is more lively at night than during the day, with bright lights. In addition to various bars, there are also delicious and fun things on the roadside, which makes people dazzled.
Everyone must keep an eye on their children when shopping, as there are too many people and they must not get lost.
It is rumored that "West Street" is a foreigner street full of Western flavor, and it represents the unique face of Yangshuo.
Every year, hundreds of thousands of foreigners come here to sightsee, live, work and study in West Street. This is not found anywhere else in China.
It is for this reason that people call China's unique West Street "Foreigner Street".
There are so many people, it's so lively, much more than Zhengyang Pedestrian Street. There are so many colorful lights, making West Street particularly dazzling. Maokong is very big, and it is very different from what you expect to see. There are also many shopping malls in West Street, where there are both scenic spots, snacks, and various shopping malls. There are also many foreigners in West Street. It can be said that there are many more foreigners in West Street than in many places I have been to. I don't know why, but I always feel that West Street has integrated everything in Yangshuo. What impressed me most was that West Street was full of five-star red flags, which gave tourists a strong sense of belonging.
It just rained, and the ground was still wet. The street view of West Street, with bright lights at night and the street view reflected on the water, still looks beautiful. West Street after the rain is crowded and quite lively. Passing by various bars, there is no attraction for us. Yangshuo West Street is similar to the commercial street in every tourist destination, but for friends in Yangshuo, visiting West Street is also a good choice.
After the cruise ship arrives at Longshan Wharf in Yangshuo, walk a little further out to Yangshuo West Street. Yangshuo West Street is a pedestrian street in Yangshuo County, Guilin City. It is nearly 800 meters long and has a history of more than 1,400 years. It is the oldest and most prosperous street in Yangshuo and one of the important tourist attractions in Yangshuo. There are some buildings such as the Ming city wall, inscriptions, ancient temples, ancient pavilions, former residences of celebrities, and memorial halls.
A typical commercial street, and it is very large. A main street branches into several small commercial streets. It seems that there has never been an epidemic here. There are crowds of people, and bars are next to each other, each singing their own songs, which is noisy. However, you can find various restaurants here, and there are chain restaurants in other big cities. There is a fountain pool in the middle of West Street. There will be a light fountain show at night, which attracts many tourists to visit and take pictures. If you really can't find the characteristics, but the small Yangshuo is so prosperous, you can imagine that the tourism industry is really booming.
The best place to go in Yangshuo at night is naturally West Street, which is also jokingly called the Foreigner Street. It has a history of 1,400 years. Yangshuo West Street is built of stone slabs and is in a curved S shape. The street is filled with various tourist souvenirs. West Street is the street with the highest concentration of foreigners in China. Every year, the number of foreigners who come here to live and travel is equivalent to three times the permanent population here. West Street is the largest foreign language corner in China, and its high proportion of foreign marriages is the highest in China. For this reason, tourism experts and scholars call it the "Yangshuo phenomenon in China's tourism industry" and China's "global village". This phenomenon has attracted the attention of the Chinese and the world. Its exotic night scene is even more charming.
I still remember the first time I went to West Street on a winter night eight years ago. I was instantly fascinated by its literary and romantic style. The small shops, cafes, teahouses, bars, and restaurants decorated with unique features were dreamy and charming, attracting people to linger. West Street should be one of the earliest commercial streets developed in China, and it has a long history. It has a history of nearly 2,000 years. It is said that some Westerners were attracted by the scenery of Yangshuo and stayed for a long or short time to live, do business, open bars, etc., bringing with them an exotic culture. West Street developed so rapidly and became famous. So, over the years, I have always been obsessed with West Street...
Time flies. Over the years, I have been to many more unique places, such as Lijiang Old Town, Pingjiang Road in Suzhou, Gulangyu Island in Xiamen, Nanluoguxiang in Beijing... But West Street has always been a soft spot in my heart, and I always miss it... How is it this time? It's just more commercialized, receiving tourists from all over the world... The original faint nostalgic flavor and cultural sentiment have faded a lot, or maybe I didn't go deep into those lovely shops!
When you come to Yangshuo, you must eat and stay in West Street. Most of the hotels here are small, so the accommodation is not expensive and the food is also affordable. West Street is not very lively during the day, as tourists are out shopping. At night, eating, drinking, singing and playing are all bustling, with bright lights and wine, and people are rubbing shoulders with each other, full of the atmosphere of the market.
The food and drinks on West Street are also very good. You can go there with 35 friends in the evening to have a drink and chat. The beer fish is also very delicious. It’s just that there may be more people, probably because it is near the tourist attractions. It’s normal to have a lot of people. The environment of some pubs is also good.
Yangshuo West Street is also jokingly called the Foreigner Street. Less than 1 km long, Yangshuo West Street is built of stone slabs and is curved in an S shape. The street is filled with various tourist souvenirs. West Street is the street with the highest concentration of foreigners in China. Every year, the number of foreigners who come here to live and travel is equivalent to three times the permanent population here. West Street is the largest foreign language corner in China, and its proportion of foreign marriages is the highest in China.
Yangshuo West Street has always been very famous, and you won't feel disappointed after going there. Friends who travel frequently may know that the so-called famous streets all sell similar Yiwu small commodities, but West Street is very different. Maybe because there are many foreign tourists here, most of them are exotic, with various foreign restaurants, authentic taste, and unique environment. It is really worth a visit. And you can meet many tall and thin foreign ladies and boys who are beautiful, especially recommended to go at night.
For me, Yangshuo West Street has never been what everyone says. There is no love affair, no amorous feelings, no crowds, no exotic customs, no temptation of delicious food, no lingering, just a journey, without too many deep impressions. It is full of dazzling things, colorful, long and winding, and full of color, fragrance and taste, but I just don't love it. (Just don't pay too much attention to me)
I like it, I like it like crazy, if I can, I will go again
It is quite commercialized, quiet during the day, and mostly filled with bars at night.
There are bars and the Li River. There are mountains and water. It is both artistic and petty bourgeois. It is the perfect place for a graduation trip with a large group of people laughing and having fun.
West Street was packed with people, too many people, of all kinds!
It's very lively, similar to a bar street, but there are also many people eating snacks. I saw many restaurants run by foreigners. It's a good place to relax.
Yangshuo Commercial Street is unique, with many people, a wide variety of goods, and lively bars at night.
The only night view of Yangshuo is West Street, but like other cities, the ancient town is too commercialized.
Although it is not a holiday, there are still many people...
I have been to West Street for more than ten times. Every time I bring different friends to play, strolling around West Street and eating beer fish is perfect.
Full of petty bourgeoisie, very noisy and prosperous, the symbol of Yangshuo
West Street was crowded with people during the May Day Golden Week, with lots of delicious food and beautiful women! ☺☺ Overall good
It’s okay, just go shopping, see life and have fun.
Every time I go to Guilin, I have to go to Yangshuo, and every time I go to Yangshuo, I have to stay at West Street. The most beautiful time of West Street should be at night. The daytime here belongs to the tourist groups. The night here belongs to the young people. Come to West Street to meet them by chance.
Yangshuo Folk Street is a maturely developed place where you can check in, eat, go to bars, and shop. It is all inclusive and the consumption is relatively high.
After getting off the Li River cruise ship, walk along the corridor and you will arrive. If you are traveling with a tour group, you can go directly to the Shili Gallery and then come to West Street to rent a bicycle or electric car. You can also visit Xu Beihong's former residence. The rest of the commercial street is for shopping, eating, drinking and small commodities.
A relatively commercial street, the scenery is beautiful at night and there are many delicious foods
For people, it is always valuable to have more life experiences.
Yangshuo West Street is very crowded and lively even in the off-season. We recommend eating beer fish, roast goose and Guilin rice noodles.
It's just a famous tourist commercial street with some bars. There's not much scenery and the prices are very high. The roasted corn is twice as expensive as the Longji Rice Terraces. It's not worth going at all.
West Street is quite lively at night, with many artists showing off their skills, ethnic song and dance performances, and loud singing in the bar street. However, sometimes there are too many songs at the same time, so the sound is a bit mixed.
Yangshuo West Street is really lively. I went there during the National Day Golden Week. I stood on the bridge in the middle of the West Street Lake at night. There were people all around me. It was really scary. There are snacks all over West Street, but I personally feel that the snacks are generally more expensive and not much better than those outside. Some of the cakes on West Street can be tasted, and osmanthus wine can be tasted. To be honest, osmanthus wine is not bad. Tasting osmanthus wine of different concentrations is also a great fun in life, haha. There are also various bars in West Street. Those who like to dance are blessed, but I didn't go. By the way, I ate a few snacks on West Street and spent 240 yuan. You can experience it yourself!
Yangsu's West Street is also known as the Foreigner Street.
I checked in at the beer fish and bar, but it had a strong commercial feel.
A mature commercial street. It is really great to have such a scale in a county town.
Generally, I am not very interested in these commercial streets and pedestrian streets, but the experience and feeling that West Street gave me was really good.
I highly recommend going there.
PS: You must try the beer fish when you come here
The night view of West Street is super beautiful. The Sunshine Inn on West Street is also super good. It is a super pleasant living experience worth a visit.
It feels similar to the Dayan Ancient Town in Lijiang, a commercial street crowded with people, people playing songs and selling CDs, painting, selling hammered pastry, and selling African drums, but the key is that the architectural style is quite to my taste, it is quite unique.
I feel that the current West Street is more fashionable than the West Street more than ten years ago. A new "West Street" has been built next to the original old street. But I still can't find the feeling of taking pictures.
It's OK, much better than I expected, not too crowded, even at night there are quite a few people, there are many bars, and the decorations of the bars are very nice.
I went there at this time. Not too many people. But it was very pleasant. I bought osmanthus tea, which was very delicious. But I couldn't find the flower tea shop. If anyone knows, please help me find it. A flower tea shop called: Huafei Town, on West Street
Coming to West Street to listen to music and drink is a must every month!
The West Street is a bit commercialized, but it is getting more beautiful than before.
In one sentence: This is a street that you must visit in Yangshuo Ancient Town. It is also the most lively place in Yangshuo. It is mainly composed of bars and is very noisy at night. Many young people like this atmosphere.
Yangshuo West Street in 2014. It was OK. There were a lot of people.
Very, very lively, the busiest street I have ever seen, very interesting, different from other places, pay attention to safety, suitable for strolling
A very leisurely place, suitable for a leisurely stroll.
The crowded West Street gives me the feeling that it is divided into the new street and the old street, each with its own characteristics
There are a lot of people, a lot of shops, a lot of bars. I walked around in a daze.
West Street is the top 1 must-visit place in Yangshuo. It is a place I don’t feel anything for. After 7pm every night, I was really worried about the flow of people on the overpass leading to West Street... So we decided to go shopping during the day!
The streets of ancient towns all over the country are the same, and the food and souvenirs are almost the same. Parking nearby is also very expensive, 10 yuan per hour, or 30 yuan for 4 hours. Oh my god!
This is a street you must visit if you live in Yangshuo Ancient Town. It is also the most lively place in Yangshuo. It is mainly composed of bars and is very noisy at night. Many young people like this atmosphere.
West Street is a popular spot. It is more comfortable in the early morning when there are fewer people.
West Street is not big, it is full of shops selling things and there are restaurants.
During the summer vacation, my family drove to Yangshuo, and the West Street was very lively!
We arrived in the afternoon and walked from sunset until dark. The streets were filled with a wide variety of goods, including ethnic costumes, jewelry, and local delicacies!
I visited Yangshuo with a tour group in 2015, but I didn't have time to visit West Street, which was a pity. This time I gained a lot!
The commercial street, or bar street, is particularly lively.
West Street is a commercial street, similar to other places. I came here today just in time for the Mid-Autumn Festival. There were many small activities on West Street and there were a lot of people.
TIP: West Street is actually similar to other commercial streets, but in Yangshuo, this is the only place to go shopping at night. Recommended index: 3 stars
Among all the West Lakes in China, the most famous one is the West Lake in Hangzhou, while among all the West Streets in China, the most famous one is the West Street in Yangshuo. The West Street one year ago was the first West Street I encountered. The mountains, rivers and lakes were all the same color, and it was filled with festive joy. There were many people, but it was not noisy.
But in less than a year, what has happened? The street that once had a quaint and elegant folk customs is now full of the smell of money. Business has completely eroded this street. Yangshuo today is no different from the commercial pedestrian streets in big cities, except for the fact that there is a circle of small hills around it.
There are all kinds of shops on both sides of West Street. Not only that, the road in the middle is also not spared. It is filled with clothes, which not only hinders the travel of tourists but also creates all kinds of noise. The peak period of summer vacation has passed, but West Street is still crowded with pedestrians at night. The word "noisy and bustling" is the most appropriate to describe West Street now.
The heavily commercialized West Street was extremely disappointing. I took a few photos of the night view and left in less than 10 minutes. I hope the relevant departments can regulate it and make West Street a quiet place again.
The bars that West Street was proud of have unfortunately become loudspeaker bars. It is almost impossible to find quiet bars. Various bars have done everything they can to attract customers, hiring hot beauties to attract customers and turning up the speakers. It is really hard to tell whether you are listening to music or noise. The fallen West Street has become a place of entertainment for businessmen. In the face of money and interests, Yangshuo West Street has also lost its original flavor. Now foreigners can hardly see it. West Street is a stranger when they see it again.
Highlights: Bars, historical streets, and foreigner streets
Note:
1. There are a lot of people on West Street at night, so be careful of thieves;
2. During the peak season, West Street is very crowded and noisy at night. It is recommended to visit West Street during the day.
3. There are many bars, so be careful of bartenders if you are alone.
transportation:
1. Yangshuo Bus Station to West Street: Take a taxi or walk, starting price
2. From Xingping Ancient Town to West Street: There are buses from Xingping Ancient Town to West Street, which stop running after 6pm. If you go to Xingping Ancient Town during the day, please pay attention to the return time of the bus.
3. From Yangshuo High-speed Railway Station to West Street: Take a taxi for 33 kilometers and 50 minutes or take a special bus, which departs every 30 minutes and costs 20 yuan per person. The earliest bus departs at 08:50 and the latest bus departs at 21:00.

5. From the airport to West Street, there are special buses that go directly to Yangshuo South Passenger Transport Station. The earliest departure time is 9:30 and the latest time is 20:00. The fare is 50 yuan and the journey of 82 kilometers takes about 1 hour and 10 minutes.
I really like West Street. Walking around, I really get lost in Yangshuo.
This extremely prosperous commercial street has a long history of more than 1,400 years. It is also called: Foreigner Street! Because the streets are full of foreign tourists, it is one of the favorite tourist attractions for foreign friends.
The bustle of Yangshuo can be seen from the street entrance. It is late at night, but tourists are still pouring in. The square at the entrance of the ancient street is full of tourists. It is a lively scene.
Yangshuo West Street is paved entirely with stone slabs. The most eye-catching thing is the row of beer fish shops at the street entrance. Various Master Liu, Master Zhang, and Master Li have set up shops here, and the taste of the shops is actually roughly the same.
Like Lijiang, West Street was once a holy place for young artists, but now it is a representative of commercialization. But the most popular thing about West Street is that it retains its original feeling behind the commercialization. For example, wandering singers, backpackers selling souvenirs, and craftsmen can operate on the street without being driven away.
The most exciting snack in the ancient street, the making process is like dancing, swaying left and right to the rhythm of the music, so exciting~
The bar street in West Street is also very famous. The architecture and decoration styles are mostly a combination of Chinese and Western styles, and there are foreign language services, so many foreigners come to play at night.
It can be said to be the earliest gathering place for Chinese backpackers, which easily reminds me of Khaosan Road in Bangkok, Thailand, which is also a paradise for backpackers. West Street, as the name suggests, is an ancient street that combines Chinese and Western elements and is full of various international elements. It is also the street with the highest concentration of foreigners in China.
Even in today's rapidly changing world, the honor of West Street in the tourism industry cannot be erased. It is one of Yangshuo's important tourist attractions.
Every visitor who comes to Yangshuo will still choose West Street as the first place to check in. It is like a woman with a changeable personality, sometimes literary and sometimes charming. During the day, the old street is full of the quaint style of the small town, and at night it becomes full of charm.
Walking into West Street in the morning, it is very quiet. There are few pedestrians on the road, and only a few stores are open for business. You can see some pets everywhere on the road.
Walking along West Street, you can see bars everywhere. Bar signs of all sizes appear on West Street. It is conceivable that at night, West Street will be another bustling scene.
When night falls, West Street starts to bustle with people, lights and wine, creating a lively atmosphere.
Along the way, you can hear the hawking of vendors on West Street, and there are bars and snack bars everywhere. When you are tired, you can stop at the food shop, order a drink, eat some food, and feel the most life in Yangshuo. If you feel hungry in the middle of the night, you can come to Guihua Road to explore the most popular snack street and the most distinctive food feast. A variety of seafood delicacies can be seen everywhere, which is one of the correct ways to open a midnight snack.
When you come to Yangshuo, you must visit West Street. It is the oldest and most prosperous street in Yangshuo. The ancient street is full of vitality and has become one of the most popular attractions for young and artistic tourists like me.
West Street is very lively and prosperous, and there are ancient buildings and a lot of people.
You can come here to shop. This street, which is less than 800 meters long, is full of small shops. It is no exaggeration to say that it covers food, clothing, housing and transportation. At about 4 pm, the night market will also start to set up stalls. The nearby villagers will display the fruits they grow at home, as well as fun toys and ornaments...
Tips: There is a pedestrian bridge at the entrance of Yangshuo West Street. When walking on the bridge, you can also enjoy the beautiful scenery. The buildings and the mountains not far away are in harmony and beauty.
The decoration of Yangshuo Old West Street is actually very interesting. There are a lot of red lanterns hanging, which is very festive. There are also many interesting small vendors selling small jewelry.
When mentioning Yangshuo, almost everyone will think of West Street, which is located in the most lively central area of Yangshuo County. Surrounded by mountains and rivers, it is flashing with brilliant lights, crowded with tourists, and the aroma of beer fish fills the air. Despite the difficult journey due to the crowds, everyone is still happily enjoying the end of summer.
There is a lively bar street on Yangshuo West Street. The bartenders are loudly soliciting customers at the door, and the resident singers and dancers are performing passionately inside. A street with food from all over the world is inserted across the bar street. The open-air seats are dotted with string lights. There are many foreigners, drinking and eating meat, chatting and laughing. The chefs in white uniforms come out from time to time to greet them. Compared with the noisy and lively bar street next to it, this place is like Paris at midnight.
A place you must visit when visiting Guilin, with pointed roofs, white walls, red windows, bluestone streets, and an antique feel. Although the street is not very long, it is very rich in content, with local snacks, handicrafts, and restaurants surrounded by flowers and green plants. There is a small house with wind chimes, you must go in and take a look.
