The Great Waterfall is located in the Danxia landform area. It is the largest waterfall in my country's Danxia landform and also the largest waterfall in the Yangtze River Basin in my country.
Along the way, you can enjoy the Danxia landform, mountain waterfalls and bamboo sea; the Chishui Waterfall is at the bottom of the valley and is the most spectacular.
There is a Zhongdong Waterfall in the middle of the scenic area. Many tourists will miss it. Compared with the big waterfall, it is not high, but more beautiful and enchanting.
The waterfall viewing platform, Longines Bay, Feihong Bridge, Yiwu Road, Fairy Stage, Dark Waterfall Stone and other scenic spots also add color to the scenic area.

The Chishui Waterfall Scenic Area (also known as the Shizhang Cave Scenic Area) is located in the southern part of Chishui City, in the upper reaches of Fengxi River, a tributary of the Chishui River, more than 30 kilometers away from the Chishui urban area.
The big waterfall is at the end of the scenic area. You can hike along the water and enjoy the beautiful scenery along the way. If you don't want to walk too much, you can also take a sightseeing bus.
Chishui Waterfall cascades down from the red Danxia cliff with great momentum. It is 76 meters high and 80 meters wide, 8 meters higher than the Huangguoshu Waterfall.
Chishui Waterfall is the second largest waterfall in Guizhou. It was raining when we went there, so the waterfall looked particularly majestic and impressive. From a distance, the waterfall was already covered with mist. Walking a little further, the dancing water vapor hit us. It is said that the waterfall is much more spectacular than Huangguoshu Waterfall at this time of year. Standing at the bottom of the valley and looking up, the water vapor hits us in the face, and the huge sound is deafening. The scene is very spectacular.
The scenery is nice, and the water volume during the dry season at the end of February is also abundant. The round-trip sightseeing bus is necessary. The one-way price of 10 yuan for a distance of nearly 3 kilometers is a good value for money. The elevator is unnecessary. On the return trip, you can walk 400 meters to the place where you can take the sightseeing bus.
During the winter promotion, 12 provinces and cities offer free admission, and I only spent 20 yuan on a round-trip sightseeing bus ticket.
I didn't know much about Chishui Waterfall before, but Detian Waterfall in Guangxi, Huangguoshu Waterfall in Guizhou, and Hukou Waterfall in Shanxi are more famous. The most famous is Huangguoshu Waterfall, which is the largest waterfall in China. I didn't know until I came to Chishui that Chishui Waterfall is the second largest waterfall in China. It is located in the south of Chishui City, Guizhou Province, in the upper reaches of Fengxi River, a tributary of Chishui River, more than 30 kilometers away from Chishui City. It is a national AAAA-level scenic spot and a key component of Chishui National Scenic Spot. Chishui Waterfall is also called Shizhangdong Waterfall.
According to official data, the Chishui waterfall is 76 meters high and 80 meters wide. Compared with Huangguoshu, it is about the same height but 20 meters narrower in width. In terms of momentum, it is still not as impressive as Huangguoshu. But its advantage is that you can walk to the waterfall and feel it up close, unlike Huangguoshu, which can only be viewed from a distance and not played with. When I went there, although it was already October, it rained heavily for two consecutive days before, so the waterfall was magnificent and really spectacular. Here is a small tip for everyone. It is best to choose the rainy season to see the waterfall. If it is not the rainy season, check the weather forecast before going there, and try to go there on a day when it rained the day before, so that the experience will be much higher.
Another must-see at Chishui Waterfall is the Water Curtain Cave behind the waterfall. Be prepared to get wet, but it feels great. The most fun thing is to watch the waterfall in the cave. The only downside is that the Water Curtain Cave is too shallow, so you can't sit there and enjoy it slowly. You can only pass through it quickly. This is also not as good as the Huangguoshu Waterfall, but the overall recommendation index can still reach more than 4.5 stars.
Chishui Waterfall, ticket price: 80+20 yuan
Play time 3-4 hours
Chishui Waterfall, formerly known as Shizhangdong Waterfall, is the second largest waterfall in Guizhou, second only to Huangguoshu Waterfall.
However, Huangguoshu Waterfall can only be viewed from a distance, while Chishui Waterfall requires real close encounter. The sense of impact at close range cannot be compared with that from a distance.
It is recommended to take the eco-friendly car to go back and forth (it is a bit far, but the car is not expensive). There is no need to take the elevator. It only takes half an hour to climb up, and it is not too steep.
The drone can fly freely, but be careful not to get too close to the waterfall. There is too much water vapor, which may cause the drone to get wet.
(The combined ticket for the three core scenic spots of Chishui Danxia is 180 yuan) The one-way sightseeing bus is 10 yuan, and the reference time is 3.5 hours
Chishui Waterfall is probably the most famous scenic spot with the most tourists. If you want to see the whole process, it is recommended to take a sightseeing bus into the elevator or walk down to the waterfall (if walking down, don't walk all the way, tell the driver not to take the elevator and walk down, he will stop at the pedestrian entrance just before the elevator entrance). After exiting the waterfall, you can walk back along the plank road to the exit, passing the Beauty Comb Waterfall on the way.
Note: It is still a long way to walk from the Great Falls to the exit, and there is no sightseeing bus stop on the way, so if you choose to walk out, you have to walk all the way to the end. The return stop for the sightseeing bus is at the exit of the Great Falls elevator.
Chishui Waterfall, also known as Shizhangdong Waterfall, is known as the second largest waterfall in China and the largest waterfall in Danxia landform. The scenic area mainly focuses on Chishui Waterfall, the second largest waterfall in Guizhou, and Zhongdong Waterfall. The scenic area is covered with lush vegetation, with occasional Danxia cliffs, and shuttles through streams and forests. There are also Phoenix Bridge, Dragon Bridge, Jinchan Stone, Qibing Ancient Road, etc. on the walking path.
Self-driving route: Chishui Danxia Tourist Area (Upper Yuanhou) - Big Waterfall Scenic Area (Lower Wanglong)
Self-driving distance: about 49 kilometers, 1.5 hours (free highway period)
Self-driving parking: The parking lot for small cars is far away. After parking, take the shuttle bus to the entrance of the scenic area (free)
Recommendation index: ★★★★
Play time: about 3 hours
Physical consumption: ★★
Reservation channel: "Reserve Guizhou" WeChat applet
Ticket price: Free admission (original price RMB80/person), sightseeing bus RMB20/person, one-way elevator RMB20/person
Chishui Danxia Scenic Area has a package ticket, the original price is RMB 180/person (including the Big Waterfall, Yanzi Rock, and Foguang Rock)

When you park your car, please [watch your step] and don't fall! Even if you fall, I hope you are safe and sound like Dou Xiaoding. Even if your knees are broken, it will never affect your pace and mood of playing~~
The sightseeing bus is not a must, you can also walk in~
But it takes a long time to walk and it takes some time. You can choose according to your personal preferences and physical strength~
The bottom of the sightseeing bus is the waterfall. If you want to save energy, you can take the elevator up. (Xinxin and Dou Xiaoding mainly wanted to save time, not energy)
The Big Waterfall is located in the Danxia landform area. It is the largest waterfall in my country's Danxia landform and also the largest waterfall in the Yangtze River Basin in my country.
It is 76 meters high and 80 meters wide, 8 meters higher than the Huangguoshu Waterfall.
At the foot of the waterfall, there is a stone platform for viewing the waterfall up close. Due to limited space, you need to queue up to visit.
It is quite shocking, especially because there is a complete rainbow bridge!
Here the waterfall is really "close at hand"~
After playing at the Great Falls, you can take the elevator back and take the sightseeing bus back to the exit~
But here I want to remind everyone that the "beauty comb" on the road is a beauty that cannot be missed~
If you want to go sightseeing, please inform the driver of the sightseeing bus in advance, otherwise it may not stop.
Unlike the majestic waterfall, the Beauty Comb is more beautiful and gentle. Xinxin likes it very much.
After playing at Meirensou, you can go back to the roadside. If you see a car with vacancies passing by, you can take it back to the entrance of the scenic spot.
If you don't see any cars or have enough energy, you can walk back to the exit, passing the Qibing Ancient Trail, which is about 1.5 kilometers and takes about 25 minutes to walk.
The second day of the trip was the main part of the trip, which was to find the legendary Chishui Waterfall. The reason why Chishui is called "Chishui" can be roughly deduced from the scenery along the road. The water is not red, but the stones in the water are red. The rocks here are exposed with red soil, so it is called "China Danxia Chishui World Natural Heritage Site".
Just as the leaflet said, there are "living fossil" ferns everywhere. The ferns here are not like the herbaceous ferns we usually see. They are woody ferns everywhere. I like this fern very much. I don't know if it is because its leaves are the best example of the concept of "fractals" in nature. It was winter on New Year's Day, but the sun shone through the mottled leaves, which was very warm.
Unexpectedly, the natural landscape also reveals a red atmosphere. There is an ancient road called "Qibing Ancient Road", which is named after the Red Army of the Workers and Peasants Red Army passed through Gulin. In addition to lush woody ferns, there are also large tracts of bamboo forests. Walking through them is refreshing. Think about the increasingly hazy weather in Chengdu, and the lush greenery in Chishui will definitely make people more and more fascinated.
The scenic area is quite large, and it took a long time to reach the Chishui Waterfall, which is also called "Shizhangdong Waterfall". One of the advantages of this scenic area is that there are very few tourists, and it basically feels like a private place. My parents went to the Huangguoshu Waterfall in their early years. Although it is not as magnificent as the Huangguoshu Waterfall, the fragrance splashing from the mountain is still full of negative ions. The only drawback is that the itinerary in the scenic area is quite long, and it would be very strenuous for young female friends to walk the entire way.
Chishui Scenic Area is a large tourist area, including many scenic spots such as the Great Falls. The scenic spots are relatively scattered, and many people drove during the May Day holiday. However, the biggest drawback of the Shizhangdong Waterfall Scenic Area is the lack of parking spaces. The main parking lot has a small capacity, and the secondary parking lot is relatively far away and requires a shuttle bus to pick up and drop off. In addition, the road to the secondary parking lot is very narrow, and it will be blocked if you are not careful. After taking the shuttle bus to the gate of the scenic area to buy tickets, you also need to take a sightseeing bus (otherwise you have to walk 5 kilometers to reach the core scenic area). If you walk forward, you can see the Beauty Comb Waterfall, and the scenery along the river is also good. The waterfall is relatively large, ranking in the top ten in China, and one advantage is that you can get a closer experience than the Huangguoshu Waterfall at the foot of the front.
It was drizzling when I went there today. The distant mountains were surrounded by clouds and mist like light grass, which was very peaceful and elegant. When I got closer, I could see the Chishui Waterfall making a sound like drums, and the mist was hazy. The waterfall was very spectacular. There is also a beauty comb waterfall downstream, which is also very lively.
The scenic area has a quiet environment and is worth a visit.
We were deceived into coming here because we thought it was the second largest waterfall in the country, but we found out after entering that it was not the case. The waterfall is average in size, but the mist is huge. Walking through the rain-like mist felt a bit like walking with a bamboo stick and straw sandals is lighter than a horse. It was quite interesting (warning: you will get soaked).
There is also a delicate Beauty Comb Waterfall in the middle of the scenic area, which is easy to overlook, so you have to ask the driver to stop.
Highly recommended, second only to Huangguoshu Waterfall. But the walk from the scenic area to the waterfall is a bit far, and there are no viewing points along the way.
Traveled by car in February 2013.
The weather is bad, cloudy. It's quite interesting to walk around in the scenic area, a lung-cleansing trip.
The Chishui Waterfall Scenic Area includes the Shizhangdong Waterfall and the Zhongdong Waterfall. The Shizhangdong Waterfall is located at the innermost part of the scenic area.
Shizhangdong Waterfall is 76 meters high and 80 meters wide. It is the largest waterfall in my country's Danxia landform and the largest waterfall in the Yangtze River Basin. From a distance, you can see its silhouette and hear its thunderous sound in the pavilion beside the road.
The road is at the top of the waterfall. There is still a certain distance from the road to the bottom of the waterfall. You can walk along the stone steps or take the elevator up and down. You can buy an up and down ticket or a one-way ticket.
It takes about 8 hours to drive from Chishui to Guiyang city, which is really far. The Chishui Waterfall Scenic Area has Danxia landform. The waterfall is more spectacular than Huangguoshu, and Huangguoshu is more beautiful.
Chishui Waterfall is great! The Danxia landform is very beautiful, but the journey is quite far and the transportation is not very convenient.
The water pours down from the cliff like a galloping horse, it is magnificent. You can climb to the bottom of the waterfall on foot, and you will feel like being knocked down and get wet. The water mist is accompanied by a cool breeze, and you don't feel the 35-degree heat at all.
There is an electric car at the entrance of the scenic area, which is recommended to be purchased. The electric car will stop at a staircase, and you can choose to get off and walk down for 15 minutes to see the waterfall, or you can continue to sit 100 meters forward without getting off. There is a vertical elevator in the mountain (completely sealed, not a sightseeing elevator). It costs 20 yuan to go down once, and 20 yuan to go up once, so it costs 40 yuan for a round trip. The elevator is a little more than 100 meters high. I suggest taking the elevator back because the electric car boarding point is above the elevator, which is very convenient.
You have to queue up to get on the rocks in front of the waterfall, which is quite safe. However, your camera will get wet if you run here.
The biggest problem with the entire scenic area is the toilets, which are only decent at the entrance.
There is a restaurant at the entrance where you can eat, and the average cost is about 50 yuan per person. There are also snacks to eat.
Very spectacular, beautiful and shocking! Although it was during the National Day, probably because of the rain, the road was very smooth and there were not too many people in the scenic area. The experience was very good, and I like it again!
I stayed in Kaixuan Village near the scenic area for one night. The price was cheap, 80 yuan a night. The environment was clean, the air was good, and the owner was very enthusiastic.
I didn't have much hope when I went in, thinking it might be just average, but I was still shocked after seeing the waterfall. It felt like the trip was worthwhile. The drop is big, the flow is fast, and the valley is full of mist from the waterfall. It was the first time I saw such a large waterfall, it was spectacular.
Tickets for the day are half price, 45 yuan for the ticket plus 20 yuan for the sightseeing bus.
The sightseeing bus took us to the top of the mountain, and then we chose to walk down. (You can also choose the elevator, but when I was doing the guide, someone said that the elevator was not good and was completely enclosed.)
Walking down, you can see the Dragon Bridge and the Phoenix Bridge. There are a lot of bamboos everywhere. Walking down the road is the big waterfall. You still need to take a raincoat. You will get wet all over when you get here. The Chishui Waterfall is really shocking. It is worth the trip.
The second largest waterfall in China, it is basically the same as Huangguoshu Waterfall, but its shape is slightly worse than Huangguoshu Waterfall, and there is no path like Huangguoshu Water Curtain Cave that can pass under the waterfall. There is a water release time every day, and if the upstream reservoir does not release water, this waterfall will disappear.
Living in the scenic area was inspired by the beehive. When I thought about the next day, when tourists outside the scenic area were waiting for the bus in the scorching sun, we had already seen the grandeur of the waterfall and left after posing for ourselves, I felt a lot of admiration for myself.
When we arrived at the scenic spot at 3 pm, thunder rumbled in the gray and black clouds, the mountain wind suddenly rose, and the mountain rain was about to come. The battery car driver frowned and raced with the heavy rain at the speed of a Ferrari. There were steep cliffs on the left and right, and the Chishui River was surging under the cliff. The mountain road was left and right, and there was a flash of lightning in front of the car. Even I, who traveled on rural roads all year round, was frightened. The surrounding environment is extremely quiet, and the landscape construction is quite ingenious. The white-walled and blue-brick homestay is clean and tidy, the road is flat, the asphalt is covered, the signs and signs are complete, the lines are beautiful, and the perfect scenic road is over. I have an occupational disease. At 7 pm, the heat wave faded, the crowds faded, and I strolled on the small wooden suspension bridge. The huge river surface was silent. There were only us, only the green color in my eyes, and only a little bird flying back to its nest in a hurry. Think about the people outside the mountain who are trying to get cool at this time, while we are blown by the natural wind, and our pores are slightly tightened. This "taking pleasure in misfortune" is wonderful. (Unfortunately, the small suspension bridge is still there in the evening, but it was washed away by the flood at night. The boss said that it has a service life of nine years.) If you are not satisfied, drive into the mountain, and you will see a waterfall, a dam, and a lake. People in the mountains rest early. At around seven o'clock, the mountains and rivers become quiet, and the village is silent. I am particularly comfortable with this vast sky and land. On a moonless night, the stars flash one by one in the deep blue night sky. The night sky at home is either colorful or colorful. Today, I drove the car into the depths of darkness in the cool night wind, and fulfilled my daughter's wish to take pictures of the stars. I saw such a dense starry sky in Yunnan ten years ago.
The ticket is 90 yuan. It is recommended to take the sightseeing bus directly to the end point, see the big waterfall first, and then walk back if you are physically fit. There are several scenic spots along the way. The big waterfall is spectacular, the water mist will wet your clothes, and it is very cool in summer.
The ticket price is 90, and the round-trip sightseeing bus ticket is 20. First, take the sightseeing bus to the top, and then walk down the mountain to the foot of the [Big Waterfall]. When we were going down the mountain, it suddenly rained at about two o'clock, and the rain in the mountain was really heavy, so bring rain gear! ! ! Of course, there is also an elevator that can be taken directly down the mountain, which requires additional payment. The Big Waterfall is really spectacular. When we saw this before we went to Huangguoshu, my mother even said that the Huangguoshu Big Waterfall might be similar to this one, hahahaha. People can walk very close to the foot of the waterfall. The water vapor coming in your face is very strong. You can wear a raincoat, but it doesn't matter if you don't wear it. Anyway, I didn't wear it hahahaha. After watching the [Big Waterfall], when you take the sightseeing bus back, remember to tell the driver to stop at the [Beauty Comb Waterfall]. I found that many people who go there don't know that there is such a waterfall. When we went there that day, there was no one at the [Beauty Comb Waterfall]. Our family occupied it alone for a long time. It was super cool to take pictures. No one came until we left, but! She is really beautiful!
Don't buy the elevator ticket for the Great Falls. It only takes a dozen seconds and costs 40 yuan for a round trip. It's not worth it at all. The Great Falls is really spectacular. There are a lot of people and you can see a rainbow.
Tickets are entered by swiping ID cards, but because some of the group members have Hong Kong ID cards and household registration books, we had to queue up at the window to buy tickets. I personally feel that Chishui Waterfall is better than Huangguoshu Waterfall. There are not many tourists, and you can go deep into the waterfall area.
The big waterfall is quite nice. The water cascades down from the cliff like thousands of horses galloping, majestic and magnificent. When you get down to the edge of the waterfall, the cool mist hits you and the hot summer disappears.
Enjoy the water, it is very cool. You can go to the waterfall and feel the rain. Remember to change into non-slip sandals. It is so cool. The waterfall rushes down with a rumbling sound and splashing water mist. It is really enjoyable. The tree-lined sightseeing bus, the cool weather and the fresh air have left us with deep and beautiful memories. It has become a good tourist destination that we strongly recommend to our friends in the future.
The waterfall is only one meter narrower than Huangguoshu, but higher than Huangguoshu, but the water volume is not as abundant as Huangguoshu. Through the mist, we can vaguely see the stepped red cinnabar behind the waterfall, and the color of the water is also redder than Huangguoshu, but we are still shocked by its magnificent and majestic beauty.
The biggest difference from Huangguoshu Waterfall is that we are almost in close contact with the waterfall. The vast sky is pouring down from the top of the cliff, and more and bigger water droplets are falling on our bodies as densely as raindrops. The cool feeling is indescribable!
The second largest waterfall in China is also the first attraction we visited after entering Guizhou. It is highly recommended. The scenic area itself is not big. Raincoats are provided free of charge near the viewing platform, and the staff will take the initiative to tell you that it is very boring. In fact, there is only one position that needs a raincoat, and there is also a position where you can take a full view of the waterfall without a raincoat. The sightseeing elevator should be taken when going up. It is not tiring when going down, but it is quite tiring when coming up. Overall, the waterfall is spectacular and worth visiting.
The water of the waterfall is so muddy! We took photos all the way in the high temperature and had a lot of fun.
I bought a combined ticket online in advance, for Chishui Waterfall, Foguang Rock, and Yanzi Rock, for 162 yuan, valid for two full days. The blue sky and the fiery red rocks have the warmest colors of summer, and what greets us is the most unrestrained torrent! Because we arrived in the evening, there were few tourists, so we went straight to the waterfall and walked down the steps for about 20 minutes. Following the roaring sound of water, the first thing I saw when I looked up was a rainbow, so brilliant in the sun! At that moment, there was an impulse to rush to the waterfall! Walking up the huge rocks to feel the waterfall at the closest distance, you will be soaked all over, but isn’t this the most thorough feeling you want? ! In fact, there are other landscapes in the Chishui Waterfall, such as the Qibing Ancient Road, the Turning Stone Wonder, Xiangxi Lake, the Hundred Acres of Camellia, the Stone Stalagmite Peak, the Million-Year Ganoderma Lucidum, the Huishui Temple Rock Sculptures, etc. Because we arrived late and took a sightseeing bus, we only saw the waterfall! A little regretful. The fiery red "Chibi" is particularly charming under the sunset. Perhaps we are just passing by... Wave goodbye!
Along the mountain road, there are multiple speed zones, and the speed limit for small cars is 60. The parking lot in the scenic area is very small, and all small cars turn right and park in the two open-air parking lots on the mountain (free parking, free transfer to the blue bus to the scenic spot). Ticket hall: Tickets are 90, sightseeing bus one-way 20, round-trip 40. There is also an elevator fee after entering. Many people buy a one-way ticket and then walk for 1 hour to reach the waterfall. It takes another 2 hours to walk out of the scenic area. There are toilets in the scenic area, which are clean. Climbing is very tiring, and my feet are sore the next day.
Chishui is 38 degrees Celsius today. It takes 50 minutes from Jinqian Jiahua Hotel to the Chishui Waterfall parking lot (the car parking lot on the top of the mountain). Free transfer to the scenic area sightseeing bus, and then walk five or six minutes to the "Sunshine" local specialty display avenue to the ticket office. The scenery along the way is great, the canyon Danxia landform, the rushing stream, the scenic area is very cool, about 31 degrees. It is recommended to buy round-trip sightseeing tickets if you come in summer. I was originally entangled in whether to take the elevator or not, and whether I would not be given a free raincoat. At this temperature, everything is over-concerned, and everyone is willing to "get wet". (The elevator is 20 yuan one-way, depending on your physical strength. I think you can take the elevator down and climb up, about 20 minutes, the scenery is beautiful) After walking only 500 meters, the magnificent waterfall gushed down from the red red cliff under the shade of the sun, and I was amazed! The first waterfall of Danxia, I think it is more beautiful than the Huangguoshu Waterfall. Back to the elevator, you can buy tickets to join the Danxia No. 1 rafting. It is a very formal rafting, but valuables need to be locked in the locker for 20 yuan, 120 yuan per person. The quality of the kayak is superb. Whether it is a dangerous rapids or a flat lake, the river is stable and open, the water is turbulent, and there is a beautiful small waterfall. The boat will not capsize and you will have a lot of fun. The whole rafting only takes 30 minutes, but it is worth it. The women's locker room is a hot water shower. At night, I went to eat the barrel-burning restaurant with the best reviews. It is distinctive and refreshing! 👍👍👍
The scenery is magnificent and impressive! The rapid water and fog in the scenic area make me even more excited. There are also living fossil trees in the scenic area, which are extremely precious. In addition, the cave ditch mentioned by Guizhou people is a waterfall.
Chishui Waterfall is the second largest waterfall in Guizhou Province. Legend has it that the three daughters of the Dragon King saw that all living beings in the world were suffering from drought, so they secretly brought rain to mortals. Therefore, the land here has always been moistened by water. Such a magnificent scene amazes the world.
This scenic spot has an unfair clause. You can take the scenic bus to the top of the waterfall. There is a trail to the bottom of the waterfall. But the scenic spot staff will not let you go. They force you to take the elevator down. Otherwise, they will not let you go. If you want to walk, you must go down the scenic spot. You can only climb up the waterfall. That will make you tired. If you walk up to the top and walk down, you will feel very relaxed. They force others to take their elevator. The purpose is to make money. It is a very deceptive scenic spot
The largest waterfall in China, comparable to Huangguoshu Waterfall
The roar of flowing water can be heard from a long distance. If you meet a tour group here, you need to dodge left and right. The waterfall has a lot of water and the rising mist is spectacular, but I still prefer the beauty comb.
Tickets for Chishui Waterfall Scenic Area: 90 yuan/person, with special discounts for students, military personnel and people over 70 years old. (Sightseeing bus round trip 20 yuan/person, one way 10 yuan/person; elevator one way 20 yuan/person, round trip 40 yuan/person).
The Chishui Waterfall is as majestic as thousands of horses galloping, and is indeed no less impressive than the Huangguoshu Waterfall.
The waterfall pours down from the cliffs with great momentum. The sound is like thunder a few miles away, and the water mist is filled within hundreds of meters. The water of Chishui Waterfall looks like silver silk hanging in the air from a distance, and the green trees and red rocks on both sides are printed, giving people a sense of mystery. It is worthy of being praised by China Geography as the most beautiful place in China!
suggestion:
It takes three hours to visit Chishui Waterfall, which is the flagship attraction of Chishui National Scenic Spot. Take a sightseeing bus, which goes all the way up and you get off at the end.
Shizhangdong Waterfall is slightly inferior to Huangguoshu Waterfall. Apart from the main waterfall, the surrounding area is also worth a slow drive. The farmhouse restaurants that can be found everywhere are also one of the highlights.
The Great Falls Scenic Area has a single content to see, and there is nothing else to see except this waterfall. The parking lot of the scenic area is extremely unreasonable. You need to drive to the parking lot on the top of the mountain by yourself, and then take the scenic area bus down the mountain. The entrance is at the bottom of the mountain (you have to pass by to park up), the ticket is 90, and the battery car needs to buy a separate ticket. If you don’t take the battery car, you can only walk a little on the trail before it is closed, and then climb the slope to walk the battery car’s way. It’s boring to walk on the main road. When you get to the place where the battery car stops, go down the steps to the bottom of the valley (it’s very tiring to climb up after watching the waterfall. If you don’t want to climb, take the elevator for 20 yuan). After watching, you have to wait for the scenic area’s car to go to the top of the mountain to pick up your car. You have to queue for a long time to wait for the car on holidays. In short, this scenic area is very tiring.
We checked into a tent hotel in the scenic area the night before. The octagonal floor-to-ceiling windows woke us up in the morning with heavy rain hitting the glass! We opened the curtains and were amazed by the beautiful scenery. When we packed our luggage and were ready to leave, the rain stopped, so we took a few portraits. Since we arrived at the scenic spot before 10 o'clock, there were very few tourists. We took photos of the waterfall from many angles. The mist splashed by the waterfall blew hundreds of meters away. The magnificent momentum made me think that it would be beautiful and romantic if I could make a cup of wine and recite a poem...
The amount of water in this season feels larger than that of Huangguoshu! It is also more spectacular! It is recommended to take the elevator down and hike up! In short, don't take the elevator back and forth, the scenery along the way is still very beautiful!
The scenic spot is average, just a waterfall, nothing else to see
When you are close to the waterfall, you can feel the water vapor coming from a long distance away, giving you a fresh feeling; you can take a shuttle bus from the gate to the top of the mountain, and then walk along the mountain road until you reach the bottom of the Chishui Waterfall.
It is definitely comparable to the Huangguoshu Waterfall, but its location is relatively remote. Now the transportation is well built and it is very convenient to drive there from Chishui.
Great scenic spot, beautiful scenery, good service awareness. Recommended. Not worse than Huangguoshu.
The Chishui Waterfall, known as the second largest waterfall in Guizhou, is not far from the city. It takes about half an hour to drive there. After the Spring Festival, the ticket price is halved. There are very few people visiting. The ticket price plus the round-trip sightseeing bus is only 54 yuan per person. After visiting the waterfall, I think you don’t need to go to the Sidonggou Scenic Area. It’s enough to visit the Chishui scenic spot for at most two days.
The scenery is still very good today on a cloudy day. The scenery should be even better in summer! The service in the scenic area is still very standardized, which is a bit beyond my expectations! I want to go there again in summer.
In summer, Chishui Waterfall has a majestic momentum that is no less than that of Huangguoshu Waterfall in Guizhou. When you arrive at the Chishui Waterfall Scenic Area, you can hear the sound of the waterfall from afar when you are near the waterfall. You can overlook the waterfall at the first glance when you get off the tour bus. In the lush mountains and forests, take the sightseeing elevator down. If you have enough time, you can walk to the waterfall. The scenic area is not big. When you are near the waterfall, people can't help but admire the magic of nature. We watched it in front of the waterfall for at least an hour. Listening to the sound of the waterfall, watching the various postures of the waterfall, taking photos as souvenirs, you won't feel tired here. And you don't have to worry about crowds, you can always find a place to watch the waterfall that you are satisfied with. There is also a rafting service here, come and meet the waterfall, and have an exciting rafting by the way.
Shizhangdong Waterfall, in my opinion, is comparable to Huangguoshu Waterfall. The scenic spots in Huangguoshu Scenic Area are a bit too scattered, and it is impossible to visit them all in one day. However, Chishui Waterfall can be visited in one day. There are sightseeing buses at the entrance of the scenic area, but I can't help but complain about the road in the scenic area. There was a shortcut originally, but due to renovations, we can only take a detour from the back mountain to the scenic area. The mountain road is 18 bends, which is definitely a test of your physical strength. However, when you see the waterfall, you finally have the feeling of Tang Sanzang's journey to the West, and everything is worth it.
The drop is greater than that of Huangguoshu Waterfall. Standing at the foot of the waterfall is truly spectacular, but it’s a pity that no rainbow was seen.
Chishui Waterfall Scenic Area, I love this place so much, it is full of the flavor of primitiveness and human origins.
There is a plant in the forest called Alsophila spinulosa, which coexists with dinosaur fossils. It plays an important role in recreating the ancient ecological environment during the life of dinosaurs and studying the rise and fall of dinosaurs and geological changes. Tickets are 90 yuan/person
There are combined tickets for multiple scenic spots in Chishui, which is very cost-effective. But we left the next day, so we didn't buy the combined ticket
Mainly, I feel that the scenery is similar... it's better to have a good time in one. Once you get in, you can choose to take a shared electric car;
The air in the mountains is particularly good and the scenery is particularly beautiful.
It’s not very far, and there are no children or elderly people around, so it’s recommended that you just stroll along.
The waterfall pours down from the cliffs with great momentum. The sound is like thunder a few miles away, and the water mist is filled within hundreds of meters. The water of Chishui Waterfall looks like silver silk hanging in the air from a distance, and the green trees and red rocks on both sides are reflected, giving people a sense of mystery. It is worthy of being praised by China Geography as the most beautiful place in China.
In the afternoon, I went to the Big Waterfall (Chishui Big Waterfall), which is known as the largest waterfall in Danxia. Go outside the scenic area and transfer to the scenic area sightseeing bus to enter the Big Waterfall, and then choose to take the elevator or walk down the stone stairs. I chose to walk down the stone stairs. The scenery along the way is so beautiful, with beautiful mountains and clear waters, and cicadas accompanying. Before reaching the Big Waterfall, I could already hear the sound of its surging water, pouring down from the cliffs, like a galloping horse, magnificent, a few miles away, the sound is like thunder, hundreds of meters within the mist, under the sunlight, presenting a colorful rainbow, beautiful. The waterfall is surrounded by lush trees and verdant all year round. It is a good place for summer vacation, viewing and photography. The splashing water mist reflected on my face, so cool and thorough, such a spectacular waterfall for the first time I have seen, I was so excited that I couldn't speak, I just wanted to quietly feel the sound of the surging water, not long after my clothes were all wet, the sun had begun to set, the water was too cold, and I felt a little cold, so I had to leave.
At first, I was confused about the sightseeing bus and the sightseeing elevator. But by accident, I found that the route was quite reasonable. We first took the sightseeing bus to the terminal, the comprehensive service facility at the top of the waterfall. You can buy elevator tickets here to go down. But we chose the opposite walking entrance to the big waterfall. After visiting the big waterfall, we returned to the elevator and bought tickets to go up and return to the sightseeing bus. Then take the sightseeing bus to the bottom of the Beauty Comb Waterfall. After viewing the Beauty Comb Waterfall, it took 20 minutes to walk to the exit. The scenery along the way was very good. Because we had to rush to Sidonggou, time was a little tight, otherwise it might have been a different flavor to walk the whole way. At least one-way walking.
In the morning, we set out from the hotel and took a bus to the scenic spot. Without the rush of rushing to work early in the morning, it was a great pleasure and satisfaction to be exiled to this place all of a sudden.
In the early morning, the valley is full of rippling water and lingering mountain sounds; strange rocks are randomly sitting or lying in the pool, red mud, green water, white clouds and gentle blue. The Chishui Waterfall is mottled and colorful. The wind in the valley will blow the water vapor of the waterfall far away, so when you walk 400 meters away from the Chishui Waterfall, you can feel a refreshing water vapor coming over your face, and those tiny water droplets will break on your skin and wash away the dust on your body.
You have to feel this place carefully. There are no annoying disputes here. Like a naughty child, walk boldly and quickly on the path. You will see green everywhere and alsors growing beside you. If you want Zen, you will have Zen. You have to know how to feel every tiny scenery carefully. They can bring you every tiny warmth.
After a simple meal, we headed straight to our first stop - Chishui Waterfall! Shizhangdong is the most representative waterfall scenic spot in Chishui. It has the second largest waterfall in Guizhou, Chishui Waterfall, second only to Huangjushu Waterfall. The drop is more than 40 meters and the width is 33 meters. I heard that Huangguoshu Waterfall is not as spectacular as it. Huangguoshu Waterfall is famous only because it was discovered earlier than Chishui Waterfall. The ticket for the entire scenic spot is 90 yuan per person, and the battery car is 20 yuan (regardless of round trip or one-way).
The sound of water rumbled. As we walked along the road, the mist from the waterfall rushed towards us like a rainstorm. At this time, it started to rain heavily. Even with an umbrella open, it could only protect my head.
A few steps further, there is a viewing platform with a good location. It faces the waterfall without any obstruction, and more importantly, there is no one here.
After lunch, we headed to Chishui's biggest attraction: the Chishui Waterfall. After taking a sightseeing bus for more than ten minutes, we walked down the mountain and got close to the scenic spot. I only saw a mist in the air, and there were thunderous sounds coming from time to time. Seeing some tourists walking back soaked, I quickly found a raincoat to put on (fortunately, the raincoats here are provided free of charge at the entrance of the scenic spot, or they can be taken off by returning tourists). The waterfall is indeed spectacular, but unfortunately, it rained two days ago, the amount of water increased, and the water level of the pool below the waterfall rose, so it was impossible to go down to the bottom of the waterfall as usual. At most, you can only watch it on the stone slope opposite the waterfall. But even so, if you don't have a raincoat, you will get wet. Standing on the stone slope, gusts of wind with water vapor hit your face, which feels really good in summer.
The mist from Chishui Waterfall was bigger than the rain. My camera got wet in a short while. I had to take pictures with my phone.
Chishui Waterfall is also called Shizhangdong Waterfall. Because we didn't know much about the scenic spot, we didn't buy round-trip sightseeing bus tickets and walked to the scenic spot. There was no separation between people and cars in the section with sightseeing buses, so we walked on the side of the road and watched the sightseeing buses whizzing by. The scenic spots of the waterfall are very simple. If you take a car and an elevator, it will take more than ten minutes to reach the scenic spot. There are free raincoats in the scenic spot, but they smell, so we bought three for ten yuan outside.
There has been a lot of rainfall in the past few days, and the waterfall has a large amount of water, which is quite spectacular. If you find the right way to open it, you can watch the "God Turtle Watching the Waterfall"!
We stopped and walked along the way, and it was drizzling on the way back. The elevator cost us 20 yuan per person and the sightseeing bus cost 10 yuan one way, and we arrived at the parking lot around five o'clock.
When I got to the viewing platform closest to the waterfall, the waterfall in front of me was so shocking! The waterfall is so big, and humans are the smallest. The water drops of the waterfall splashed on every part of my body. The rain had stopped when I arrived at the scenic area, but it was raining moderately at this time. Even with an umbrella, I couldn't resist the wind.
I haven't seen the Chishui Waterfall yet, but I can hear the sound of water. I am a lazy person, so I still left my camera in the car, took my mobile phone and waterproof case and ran inside. It is recommended to take the elevator of the waterfall for convenience. It takes too much time to walk there, but it doesn't matter if you have enough time. I came to the waterfall after turning a corner. Just like a steam beauty instrument, I was sprayed with water mist all over my face and body. The water vapor was so strong that my clothes were all wet. I could hardly open my eyes. But I still couldn't help getting close to it. Nature is so powerful that every time it exerts force, people tremble. This surging water seems to hide countless heavenly soldiers and generals behind it. Human power is small and fragile in front of it.
The scenery is beautiful. After walking less than 1,000 meters, you can hear the rumbling sound of water from afar. Going further, the waterfall is in front of you. It is more than 70 meters wide and more than 80 meters high. It is comparable to the Huangguoshu Waterfall in Anshun. The river water rushes down like a thousand horses, and the water mist rises. Standing on the boulder in front of the waterfall, the mist hits you in the face. The waterfall is majestic and spectacular, which really makes people linger.
The waterfall is so close that the mist is so strong that you can't open your eyes. The waterfall is so spectacular that you can't avoid getting wet. Tips: You can rent raincoats inside the scenic area, but don't buy them outside because the quality is too poor.
Chishui Waterfall Scenic Area can be visited by sightseeing bus. Children under 1.4 meters are free of admission, and children under 1.2 meters are free of battery bus tickets. It is very humane, thumbs up. If you want to hike in the whole scenic area, it will still take several hours; if you take a sightseeing bus, plus the short walking time, it is enough for you to have a deep understanding of the moving mountains and waters of Guizhou. Standing under the waterfall, letting the water mist come over your face, closing your eyes and feeling it, daydreaming or standing in a daze, are all pleasures in life!
The waterfall is spectacular, but after walking for so long to see it, I felt so sad!!!
The water rushed down along the rocks and fell into the pool with a loud and powerful sound.
Looking closely at the waterfall, it is full of texture, like a tight curtain of waterfalls that disperses as it falls at a high speed to form a magnificent waterfall mist. It is a visual feast, shocking and beautiful!
It is one of the top ten waterfalls in China and is very impressive. It is worth a visit.
Free Travel-Chishui Waterfall
Take a bus at the bus station at 8 o'clock in the morning and arrive at the Great Falls Scenic Area in about an hour. The ticket price is 80 yuan per person; the sightseeing bus is 10 yuan one way (very cost-effective).
We chose to walk up the mountain and take the sightseeing bus down. It was cool along the way and we could see many unusual plants, including the Alsophila spinulosa. It took about six kilometers to reach the big waterfall. We passed the Beauty Comb Waterfall, which had a very good sense of layering for photos. It is recommended that tourists with good physical strength walk up the mountain for a better experience.
We basically spent four hours
