Doupotang Waterfall

The Doupotang Scenic Area is located about 1 km upstream of the Huangguoshu Waterfall. It is the widest waterfall in the Huangguoshu Waterfall group.
The cave on the left side of the waterfall will produce a strange resonance and emit a low roar when a huge amount of flood water passes through it, so the Doupotang Waterfall is also called the Roaring Waterfall.
This is also the filming location for the ending theme of the 1986 TV series "Journey to the West". The scenery is spectacular and you can even see a rainbow if you are lucky.
There are fish and shrimps hidden in the Bitan Lake, so the local Buyi people often hold nets to catch small fish and shrimps in the lake.

The Doupotang scenic area is not very large, and you can walk around it in about an hour. You can see the Doupotang Waterfall by walking along the trail for more than ten minutes from the entrance. This waterfall is the one that the four masters and apprentices walked through at the beginning of the 1986 version of Journey to the West. Of course, we were definitely not allowed to go up.

The viewing platform closest to the waterfall is in the lower right corner of the photo, and it has the most people, but in fact, you can take photos from many places on the trail with beautiful angles, and I think it would be better if it is farther away.

Doupotang Waterfall is located 1 km upstream of Huangguoshu Waterfall in Guizhou Province. The top of the waterfall is 105 meters wide and 21 meters high, making it the widest waterfall in the Huangguoshu Waterfall group. On the top of Doupotang Waterfall is a huge molten pool with an area of 15,000 square meters. The waterfall is formed on a calcified beach dam that is more than 100 meters long. There is also a special phenomenon of Doupotang Waterfall: every time before the flood comes, the waterfall will make a roaring sound, so it is also called "Roaring Waterfall". It is the filming location of the ending theme song of the 1983 version of Journey to the West.

This scenic spot is the smallest one in the entire Huangguoshu Scenic Area. You can leave after visiting it for about 30 minutes, but we played for a full hour. Although it is small, the Doupotang Scenic Area, located 1 km upstream of the Huangguoshu Waterfall, is the widest waterfall in the Huangguoshu Waterfall Group. There is a huge karst pool at the top of the waterfall. During the flood season, when the waterfall passes over the calcified beach dam, it will make a roaring sound.

As soon as you enter the gate, you will see a sculpture of Tang Monk and his disciples seeking Buddhist scriptures. Walk 5 minutes to the right and you will see the Doupotang Waterfall. The scene of the master and his disciples walking on the waterfall in the ending song of Journey to the West was shot here.

Because it was cloudy and rainy, there was no rainbow, and we didn't see the local Buyi people or small fish and shrimp. The Doupotang Scenic Area is the smallest attraction in the Huangguoshu Waterfall Scenic Area. It is not as stunning as the silver pendant and the waterfall. It became popular due to the fame of "Journey to the West". It takes no more than an hour to visit here. Because the Doupotang Waterfall is the filming location of the TV series "Journey to the West", the scenic area has many elements of the Journey to the West.

You can walk along the plank road to the Doupotang Waterfall. Of course, you can also take a free bus. Although walking is more tiring, you can enjoy the waterfall from a distance on the way. Walking along the plank road, the beautiful scenery is unforgettable. I didn't feel too tired and arrived at the Doupotang Waterfall Scenic Area. There is also a monument inscribed with the story of the 81 difficulties in the Doupotang Scenic Area.

Doupotang Waterfall, located one kilometer upstream of Huangguoshu Waterfall, is 21 meters high and 105 meters wide. It is the widest waterfall in the Huangguoshu Waterfall group. The entire waterfall is formed on the calcified beach dam and has a very beautiful shape.

The most peculiar thing is that in the rainy season, before the peak of the flood arrives, the Doupotang Waterfall will emit a deep roar, so it is also called the "Roaring Waterfall".

There is a man-made bridge on both sides of the "Roaring Waterfall". You can walk to the opposite bank to admire it from the nearest place. You can also stand on the bridge and admire it from the front. It's beautiful!

Entering the Doupotang scenic area, walking along the path beside the riverbed, the "rumbling" sound of water echoing in the ears gradually intensifies and becomes louder and louder. The muddy river water hits the shore with the rumbling sound, and the river water floods the stones and bridges in the riverbed, and also floods the footpath in the depression. The area near the waterfall is cordoned off, and it is impossible to get close to the waterfall.

During the rainy season, the waterfall pours down with great force, the water flow is very large, the splashing waves are scattered everywhere, and the rushing river water is accompanied by a majestic roar, which makes it extremely powerful and unstoppable.

During the rainy season, the Doupotang Waterfall is like a ferocious beast that has just been released from its cage, and is furious.

When the water level is low, the Doupotang Waterfall looks like a charming bride in a veil, graceful and elegant.

The waves hit the rocks on the shore, causing more waves to splash, accompanied by the roar of water. The waves in the riverbed pushed the waves in front, one after another, like thousands of armies fighting and shouting, struggling forward.

The turbid river water roared and rolled, rolling up yellow-brown waves that rushed downstream rapidly into the distance.

It's really worth going to see it up close.

By Still speaking |

Doupotang Waterfall is the widest waterfall in the Huangguoshu Waterfalls, located 1 km upstream of the Huangguoshu Waterfall. When the water level is low, the water is clear, and the waterfall is like a thin, translucent veil, or like a silk fan, shining silver in the sun. Some people call it the "bride's veil". During the flood season, the river water carries a lot of sediment and becomes a yellow turbid flow. The waterfall becomes fierce and majestic, and the cave on the left will produce a strange whistle effect, making a deep and deep roar, so it is also called the "roaring waterfall".

This is the filming location for the scene where Tang Monk and his three disciples led their horses across the river in the ending theme of the 1986 version of "Journey to the West". In the scenic area, there are colorful statues of the four masters and disciples, as well as the 81 Difficulties Stele, the Sutra Drying Stone, etc., which are full of the cultural atmosphere of Journey to the West.

Tianxing Bridge Scenic Area in Guizhou is located 7 kilometers downstream of the Huangguoshu Waterfall. It mainly enjoys the wonderful combination of stone, tree and water. It is a natural bonsai area formed by the transformation of the stone forest on the water. The Tianxing Bridge Scenic Area is roughly divided into two parts. From the gate to Gao Laozhuang is the first half, mainly visiting the stone forest on the water, and from Gao Laozhuang to Yinzhuitan Waterfall is the second half. Generally, group tourists only visit the first half, so there are more tourists there. . On the way to the Tianxing Bridge Scenic Area by bus, I met a staff member and chatted for a few words. When I said there were a lot of people, she replied that there were actually not many people at all now. There is no need to queue for the bus. When there are many people, you have to wait for an hour to wait for the bus. One of the great benefits of traveling during the epidemic is that there are fewer people. A lot of queuing time is saved. The Tianxing Bridge Scenic Area is the farthest from the gate among the three scenic spots, and the bus takes about half an hour. The scenery of the Tianxing Bonsai Scenic Area in the first half is still good, with gurgling water under the rugged rocks and trail stones arranged by date. Find your birthday and take a photo. The second half of the journey is surrounded by mountains and water, with green trees and shade, giving people a feeling of returning to nature. It is a rare place to get close to nature. It is a naturally formed stone bridge between the canyons, and there is another bridge on the stone bridge. It is indeed a masterpiece of nature. At the end of the Tianxing Bridge Scenic Area is the Yinzhuitan Waterfall. It is only more than ten meters high, with a funnel shape on the top and a trough-shaped molten pool at the bottom. The stone bags raised on the edge of the pool are like lotus leaves covering each other, interlaced and connected. The river water spreads evenly on each leaf surface, flowing freely, like thousands of large and small silver chains, slowly falling into the molten pool with a soft sound, and it will never end. The water of Sancha River is divided into strings of beads by the travertine beach and falls into the deep pool. It is the most beautiful waterfall in the Huangguoshu Waterfall Group. Originally, we could take the cable car back to Gaolaozhuang after walking past the Yinzhuitan Waterfall, but when we got here, it happened to rain and the cable car was closed, so we had to walk back to the exit in the rain. Although the road was not difficult to walk, it took at least half an hour longer. It took nearly 20 minutes to walk from the Gaolaozhuang exit to the bus stop. We played in the entire Tianxing Bridge Scenic Area for about 3 and a half hours.

It takes about 10 minutes to get to Doupotang from the bus stop at the visitor center. Generally speaking, since it is close to the main gate, it is the first stop for most tour groups. It is said that there will be a lot of people in the morning. Even though we arrived here at 4 pm, there were still many tourists. Once you enter the main gate and walk 50 meters, you can see this small waterfall. It is rumored on the Internet that the Doupotang waterfall in Journey to the West looks high because of the shooting angle, so I mistakenly thought that this is the legendary Doupotang, and I swore to a little sister next to me that this is Doupotang Waterfall. It was not until I saw the real Doupotang that I suddenly realized it. Although it is not as tall as it looks on TV, it is much larger than imagined. Doupotang Waterfall is famous for being the location of the ending song of Journey to the West. The Doupotang scenic area is not big, and it takes about an hour to walk around.

The scenic area is very small, and the main attraction is the waterfall that the four masters and apprentices walked through in Journey to the West. Generally, you will arrive at the scenic spot after 4:30 pm, when the light is softer and more suitable for taking pictures.

This is the location where the waterfall in the ending theme of Journey to the West was filmed. Naturally, there are some attractions related to Journey to the West, such as the stone wall of the 81 difficulties and the Sutra Drying Stone.

This scenic area is one of the three scenic areas in Huangguoshu Scenic Area. It is located one kilometer upstream of the Huangguoshu Waterfall Scenic Area. The scenic area is centered on the Doupotang Waterfall. The top of the waterfall is 105 meters wide and 21 meters high. It is the widest waterfall in the Huangguoshu Waterfall Group.

The famous 1986 version of Journey to the West was filmed here, so there are many Journey to the West elements in the entire scenic area. If you are interested in Journey to the West, this trip will surely allow you to relive your childhood memories.

My travel notes: A trip to Guizhou - Huangguoshu Waterfall/Libo Xiaoqikong/Zhenyuan/Xingyi Wanfenglin travel notes http://www.mafengwo.cn/i/20581885.html

Doupotang Scenic Area is the smallest of the three scenic areas. It takes about 1.5 hours to visit. Doupotang Waterfall is the widest waterfall in the waterfall group here and is also the upstream of Huangguoshu Waterfall. In fact, my father and I both think that Doupotang Waterfall is more beautiful than Huangguoshu Waterfall because Doupotang has more lines.

There is a scene in the theme song of the old version of "Journey to the West" where the four masters and apprentices walk on a waterfall. It was filmed at the Doupotang Waterfall.

By Scholar's spirit |

Doupotang Waterfall. There is a saying that the ending of Journey to the West was filmed here, but it is actually a rumor. The filming location of Journey to the West was in Jiuzhaigou.

Doupotang Waterfall is located in the upper reaches of Huangguoshu Waterfall. The top of the waterfall is 105 meters wide and 21 meters high. It is the widest waterfall in the Huangguoshu Waterfall group. Because of the lack of height, it obviously lacks momentum.

Doupotang Waterfall has a special phenomenon: before the flood comes, the waterfall will make a roaring sound, so it is also called "Roaring Waterfall". However, many people, including tour guides, claim that this is the filming location of the ending song of Journey to the West. I carefully looked for the ending song of Journey to the West. No matter which version of Journey to the West, it doesn't look like this place, but more like the Pearl Beach Waterfall in Jiuzhaigou. Who cares what it was filmed in? The scenery is good.

The ticket to Huangguoshu Waterfall Scenic Area plus the sightseeing bus is 210 yuan. The ticket and the sightseeing bus are valid for two days. They include the Big Waterfall, Tianxing Bridge and Duopotang. The three attractions cannot be entered repeatedly. In fact, there is no fixed order for boarding. There are buses between the attractions. Check where you are going when you take the bus. It is recommended to spend two days to visit all the scenic spots online. I think it is because of physical strength. It will be very tiring to arrange all the attractions in one day. Secondly, there are many people. The roads of Tianxing Bridge and the Big Waterfall are very narrow. Many places can only be passed one by one in order, which will greatly delay time. I think it is best to play Doupotang on the first day. This attraction is the fastest and can be finished in more than an hour. Then go to the Big Waterfall first the next morning (it took me 2 and a half hours including the waiting time), and finally walk to Tianxing Bridge (it took me 3 hours including the waiting time for half an hour), because you have to queue up to enter the Big Waterfall, which takes a long time. Go earlier and there will be fewer people. It is said on the Internet that there are few people in the second half of Tianxing Bridge. I think everyone knows that the second half is the essence, so there are many people in the second half. Tianxing Bridge takes the longest time, so there is no worry if you put it at the end. If you really don’t have enough time and want to finish it in one day, you can give up Doupotang, because they are all waterfalls, and the scale of the Big Waterfall is much larger.

The third stop of Huangguoshu Scenic Area is the most relaxing Doupotang Waterfall. Although it is only 20 meters high, it is 105 meters wide, the widest waterfall in the Huangguoshu Waterfall Group. The most famous thing about Doupotang Waterfall is that it is the waterfall that the four masters and apprentices waded through at the beginning of the ending song of the 1986 version of "Journey to the West".

Doupotang, the scenic spot advertises that this is the filming location of the 1980 version of Journey to the West, where the four masters and apprentices walked on the waterfall. I always remembered that the Nuorilang Waterfall in Jiuzhaigou was the filming location of the four masters and apprentices walking on the waterfall. Could it be that they filmed in both places? A night of heavy rain caused the river to rise sharply, and the water flow was turbulent, roaring and surging, like thousands of troops, bravely moving forward, with great momentum. From here, you can walk to the waterfall, which takes about half an hour. For those who are physically fit, it saves the time of tossing the sightseeing car, but now the bridge has been flooded and is closed to traffic.........

The Huangguoshu Scenic Area is very large, including three attractions: Doupotang, Tianxing Bridge and Huangguoshu Waterfall.

My tour order is to go to Huangguoshu Waterfall, Water Curtain Cave, Doubotang and Tianxing Bridge early in the morning.

This order ensures that you will not encounter tour groups at the Great Falls, because the Water Curtain Cave of the Great Falls will easily become crowded with many people, and it will take a long time to get out of the cave.

It takes a whole day to visit all three scenic spots. I got on the scenic area sightseeing bus at around seven in the morning and left the scenic area at around five-thirty in the afternoon.

There are only three places worth visiting in the entire scenic area, in short, the three waterfalls. The Tianxing Lake Water Forest and other attractions that we passed by while walking are completely uninteresting and feel like small attractions that are just there to make up the numbers.

One is the Great Falls (including the Water Curtain Cave. You must wear a raincoat when passing through the Water Curtain Cave, otherwise you will become a drowned chicken. Raincoats are sold inside and outside the scenic area, and the price is about the same.)

The Water Curtain Cave is very interesting, but it will be super crowded during peak hours, and it will take a long time to walk through the cave. So you either go to the waterfall early in the morning when the tour group has not arrived yet, or go to the waterfall around 4pm when the tour group has left.

The second is Doubotang Waterfall, which is said to be the location for the 1985 version of Journey to the West where the four masters and apprentices led their horses across the river.

The third is the Silver Chain Falling Pond Waterfall at Tianxing Bridge (you will pass by Tianxing Cave on the way, so if you are interested in caves, you can go in and take a look)

Tianxing Lake is the dividing point between the upper and lower parts of the Tianxing Bridge Scenic Area. Personally, I feel that there is nothing interesting or fun to see in the upper part. Anyway, I was concentrating on walking and didn’t take many photos.

Generally, tour groups will leave the scenic area through the exit next to Tianxing Lake after reaching it, but the most salient attraction of Tianxing Bridge, the Silver Chain Falling Pond Waterfall, is in the lower half, so if time permits, you must visit the lower half.

Doupotang Waterfall, unlike the previous large waterfall, is famous for its special fan-shaped structure formed by karst landform.

It is widely known because of the 1986 version of "Journey to the West". In the TV series' ending song "Where is the Way?", the wide waterfall that the four masters and apprentices walked through is the Doupotang Waterfall.

After seeing Huangguoshu Waterfall, this waterfall seems small, but it is still pretty good.

By Cancer Noon Horse |

The waterfall has a unique scenery, especially it was used as the opening scene of "Journey to the West", it is worth a visit. On the return trip, there is a different view after crossing the bridge.

The Doupotang Scenic Area is located 1 km upstream of the Huangguoshu Waterfall. It is the waterfall with the widest top in the Huangguoshu Waterfall group.

By Maizitun |

Doupotang is another scenic spot. The waterfall inside is very wide but not too high. It is the location of the shot of the four masters and apprentices jumping around at the end of Journey to the West. It is worth a visit. But it is better to return by the original route. Otherwise, if you want to go to the Sutra-drying Stone, you need to go around a very large circle, and there is nothing to see.

By Linen as snow |

The waterfall is quite wide, and the water was quite big when I went there. It is a little shorter than Huangguoshu Waterfall.

Doupotang Waterfall is not as high as Huangguoshu Waterfall. It is one of the scenic spots of Huangguoshu Waterfall.

By Xu Xiang's perspective |

In fact, I think that if it is separated from the Huangguoshu Waterfall Scenic Area and only charges a 30 yuan admission fee, it will definitely become a popular tourist destination.

By Ice Maple |

You will regret coming here, and you will regret not coming here. Especially the 1000-meter commercial street at the exit, it is tiring enough to go around the scenic area

The waterfall at Doupotang is very lovely. It is said that the 1985 Journey to the West was filmed here.

The whole scenic area takes about 1 hour, but the highlight is this waterfall. If you return the same way after the waterfall, it will take about half an hour. Because it was a little late when I arrived at Doupotang, there were not many people (there were many people in the morning), I finished it in 20 minutes.

How to get to Huangguoshu Waterfall? There is a tourist bus at Anshun Passenger Transport East Station that goes directly to Huangguoshu Waterfall. The ticket price is 20 yuan and the journey takes about 50 minutes. We chose to charter a car. We happened to meet a couple from Northeast China who were looking for passengers at the hostel. They had already contacted a driver. The original plan was to go for 150 yuan per trip. Later, we proposed to charter a car for the whole day, which would cost 235 yuan for a couple. If we took a tourist bus + a bus to the scenic area, it would cost 180 yuan for a couple.

It took about an hour's drive and we arrived at the entrance of the scenic area at 08:15. The route planned by the chartered driver for us was: Doupotang-Tianxing Bridge-Huangguoshu, so as to avoid going back.

The first scenic spot: Doupotang, enter and follow the trail to reach the waterfall viewing platform. The entrance and exit are the same. The river water is surging and hitting the plank road. The staff kept reminding tourists not to get close to the fence with a loudspeaker. When you arrive in front of the waterfall, you will find that the height is average but it is very wide, and the sound of water is roaring.

When the ending song of the 1985 version of Journey to the West, "Where is the Way?" sounded, the waterfall that the master and his four disciples walked past was here. In fact, the Doupotang Waterfall is very small, but you won't regret it unless you see it in person. It can be regarded as a revisit of the old version of Journey to the West.

It is said that this is the filming location of the theme song of Journey to the West, "You carry the load, I lead the horse." After entering the entrance, turn right and walk to the end, then you can return. It is a relatively quick tour.

This is the location where the ending credits of the TV series "Journey to the West" were filmed in the 1980s. This waterfall is also worth seeing and its width is rare.

The impact of mountains and rivers has formed a series of interconnected shallows and deep pools, reflected by the sunlight, like a string of pearls and colorful ribbons. The water ripples gently, sparkling and changing endlessly.

We walked to a bridge and felt that it was the end. We could not see the scenery anymore and felt puzzled. We walked further and turned a corner to see the most wonderful scenic spot of Doupotang. The water must be smaller than in summer, but it was still very beautiful. We were the only two people in the scenic area.

Doupotan is not big and it only takes half an hour to walk around it.

The scenery is still great, the waterfall is relatively low and large

By Xiaoke |

It is the widest waterfall in the upper Huangguoshu Waterfalls. It is also the theme song of the 1986 version of Journey to the West, where the four masters and apprentices led their horses across the river. Along the riverside, you can walk along the Journey to the West Trail, where you can see the carved walls with stories from Journey to the West.

Doupotang Waterfall is the widest waterfall in the Huangguoshu Waterfalls group. It is also the waterfall that the four masters and apprentices walked through in the legendary 1986 version of Journey to the West.

But whether it is true or not is a matter of personal opinion. However, the scenery is still very beautiful.

This is the last attraction. Although I have seen the Huangguoshu Waterfall, I still feel a little surprised when I come to Doupotang. Although it looks very wide, it always has an inexplicable delicate feeling. Tang Seng and his four disciples must have been very happy when they walked by with horses.

The scenery is spectacular, and if you are lucky you can even see a rainbow. There are fish and shrimps hidden in the Bitan Lake, so the local Buyi people often hold nets to catch small fish and shrimps in the lake. It is about 6KM away from the Grand Waterfall Scenic Area. The entire scenic area is not large, and half an hour is enough to watch the waterfall.

By Lychee33 |

The entire Doupotang Waterfall area is very small, and the tour guide only gave everyone an hour to take photos. But I have to say that I personally like Doupotang Waterfall very much. There are relatively few tourists, which makes it convenient for taking photos. I also privately think that because the tour guides said in advance that the scenic area is very small and not interesting, many people just took a quick tour and left. But how could I miss the filming location of "Journey to the West" that I loved to watch in my childhood? The waterfall that the four masters and apprentices walked past with their horses in the ending song is the "Doupotang Waterfall"

Doupotang Waterfall is the widest waterfall in the entire Huangguoshu Scenic Area, even wider than the most famous Huangguoshu Waterfall. At the same time, the ending song of Journey to the West sounded in my mind. Yes, it was the waterfall that the four masters and apprentices walked across on horseback!

The Doupotang Waterfall is a single attraction with only one big waterfall. The theme song of the 1985 version of "Journey to the West" where the monk Tang and his three disciples lead their horses across the river was filmed here.

Take the scenic sightseeing bus to Doupotang, enter from the entrance, and walk for about ten minutes to see the Doupotang Waterfall.

After viewing the waterfall up close, walk back along the river for about twenty minutes to reach the exit. Along the way, there is a small dam bridge that crosses the river, and you can see the steep slope pond in the distance.

The scenery is picturesque and the recommended visiting time is 40 minutes.

Doupotang Scenic Area is said to be the filming location of the 1986 version of Journey to the West. Many people took photos here with the Monkey King's signature pose. The drop of Doupotang Waterfall is not very high, with mountains and peaks, and abundant water, which is very beautiful. After a simple stroll, we left the scenic area for lunch. The attractions in Doupotang Scenic Area are still very simple, just the waterfall.

Doupotang Scenic Area: Located 1 km upstream of Huangguoshu Waterfall, the scenic area is 21 meters high and 105 meters wide at the top of the waterfall. It is the widest waterfall in the Huangguoshu Waterfall Group. The waterfall seems to flow from the sky, spreading over the calcified beach dam of more than 100 meters. When a huge amount of flood water passes through, the cave on the left side of the waterfall will produce a strange resonance and emit a low roar, so the Doupotang Waterfall is also called the roaring waterfall. In the scenic area, hundreds of flowers bloom and thousands of birds sing. Hundreds of natural birds live here, and it is also called the "Ecological Ten Thousand Birds Garden". This is also the filming location of the ending song "Where is the Road" of the 1986 TV series "Journey to the West". The scenery is spectacular, and if you are lucky, you can also see a rainbow. There are also fish and shrimps hidden in the Bitan Lake, so the local Buyi people often hold nets to catch small fish and shrimps in the lake. Suggested play time: 45-60 minutes.

Doupotang Waterfall is located 1 km upstream of Huangguoshu Waterfall. The top of the waterfall is 105 meters wide and 21 meters high. It is the widest waterfall in the Huangguoshu Waterfall group. On the top of Doupotang Waterfall is a huge karst pool with an area of 15,000 square meters. The waterfall is formed on a calcified beach dam that is more than 100 meters long.

There is another special phenomenon of Doupotang Waterfall: before the flood comes, the waterfall will make a roaring sound, so it is also called "Roaring Waterfall". "I heard the roaring sound of water from afar, and looking north from the gap in the ridge, I suddenly saw water pouring down the cliff from the northeast mountain armpit and pounding into the deep abyss. I could only see the white water several feet wide above, with snow surging in the air, but I couldn't see the bottom, probably because it was separated by the opposite cliff." This is Xu Xiake's description of Doupotang Waterfall in "Xu Xiake's Travel Notes".

This scenic spot is very small and 40 minutes is ok.

The Doupotang Waterfall is relatively small and can be visited in about an hour, but this small waterfall is also beautiful.

After entering the scenic area, walk all the way to Doupotang. Doupotang Waterfall is the widest waterfall in the Huangguoshu Waterfalls group.

Since it is the off-season, the water volume is not large now, but you can still vaguely feel the water vapor.

By SUNNYOUNG |

It's quite standard. If you can walk in and see the panoramic view of Huangguoshu for free, you don't have to go to Doupotang. If you buy a package ticket, you can see all of them.

By fantasty |

Doupotang is indeed not big, and it usually only takes half an hour to visit it, but it is still a classic scene in Journey to the West, and I feel that it is more worth visiting than the first half of Tianxing Bridge.

By No traces in the snow |

The scenic area is not big and can be visited in half an hour. There is only a very wide but not high waterfall inside, which is the filming location of the ending of Journey to the West.

By bright |

Doupotang is not big, so you can walk through it slowly in more than an hour. The main purpose is to see the scenic spots in Journey to the West. If you are lucky, you can see water birds. After seeing them, you can return the same way.

By Small Stone |

It is the closest attraction to the tourist center of Anshun Huangguoshu Waterfall Scenic Area, and it takes ten minutes by bus. It is said to be the widest waterfall in the Huangguoshu Waterfall Group, and the water of the waterfall pours down along the waterfall surface. I feel that it is not as good as some waterfalls in Tianxing Bridge Scenic Area. The psychological gap is very large. Is it because I expected too much of the Huangguoshu Waterfall Scenic Area? It feels like a name only. I took a few photos and it took about half an hour.

Each waterfall has its own characteristics. After walking for a while, it is still very happy to hear the sound of the waterfall and see its true appearance.

We arrived there around 8 o'clock, and the flow of people was not too large. Doupotang is the widest waterfall in the Huangguoshu Waterfall Group. It is where the four masters and apprentices walked in the 1986 version of "Journey to the West". It takes about half an hour to an hour to walk out.

By pistachio |

Sandwiched between the Huangguoshu and Tianxing Bridge scenic spots, it is neither too big nor too small, neither too high nor too low, neither too wide nor too narrow, which is a bit awkward.

By CrYstaL--FonG |

After seeing the Huangguoshu Waterfall, the Doupotang Waterfall is just child's play.

By pangpangxiong |

It is said that this waterfall is the filming location of Journey to the West. The whole scenic area is not big, and it takes at most 1.5 hours to visit it. When you arrive at the foot of the waterfall, even the Doupotang Waterfall is already very shocking! What a great view! It's a pity that the sky was gloomy when I came, otherwise it would be more beautiful!

By 🍉 Watermelon |

It's really not big, and I finished the tour in less than an hour. I also saw the waterfall that appeared in Journey to the West~

By whatever |

It is said that this is the classic scene where the four masters and apprentices walked in the ending song of Journey to the West, but I remember that when I went to Jiuzhaigou, it was also said that the Nuorilang Waterfall there was filmed here. I was eager to learn, so I checked Baidu to find out what it was. As a result, I found that many people had this question, and there were various opinions and even analyses, but in the end, no conclusion was found... The setting of the garbage box on the road is great, which reduces a lot of disobedience.
