Jiaxiu Tower is a famous historical building in Guiyang. It was first built in the Ming Dynasty, then destroyed and rebuilt, and renamed "Laifeng Pavilion". In the Qing Dynasty, Jiaxiu Tower was rebuilt many times and restored to its original name. The existing building was rebuilt in the first year of the Xuantong reign (1909).

As a tourist attraction, Jiaxiu Tower is too small. After passing the memorial archway, you will reach Hanbi Pavilion. After passing the pavilion, Jiaxiu Tower is right in front of you. Although it cannot be compared with the ancient buildings that have been passed down for thousands of years in other places, this place is in the center of Guiyang, surrounded by beautiful scenery, and it is quiet in the drizzle in the early morning. It can be called the "Jiaxiu" of Guiyang. Half an hour of sightseeing time is enough, and you can also go to Cuiwei Garden behind it. Several scenes are quite interesting and worth a visit.

By Canghai Dusk Cangwu |

The building is not big, and calligraphy and paintings are sold on the third floor (free entry). The Cuiwei Garden next to it has become a teahouse, but the garden is still open to visitors for free. Jiaxiu Tower and Cuiwei Garden close at 6:30 pm. A special visit may be disappointing, so it is better to take a walk along the Nanming River after dinner to digest the food, and watch the ordinary but happy life of Guiyang citizens after get off work. The Jiaxiu Tower with lights on at night seems to be more integrated into the homes of ordinary people than the Jiaxiu Tower in the daytime. There is no special parking lot for Jiaxiu Tower, but it is located in the downtown area of Guiyang, so it is very convenient to find a parking lot in the shopping mall. It is best to live nearby, park your car at the hotel, and walk around by yourself. In fact, most people don’t know much about Jiaxiu Tower, which I think is normal. Because there is no text that makes it well-known.

Jiaxiu Tower is a landmark building in Guiyang City, but when we came, Jiaxiu Tower was closed, and tourists are not allowed to go up to the tower even during business hours. We came late today, so we can only see the night view of Jiaxiu Tower. In front of Jiaxiu Tower flows the Mingyang River. Although the night view of Mingyang River is not as good as that of Tianjin Haihe River, standing by the river to look at Jiaxiu Tower and blowing the humid air unique to the south is also a different kind of enjoyment for us northerners. In order to facilitate tourists to view Jiaxiu Tower, the scenic area built a viewing platform by the river.

The next day, I went to Jiaxiu Tower but could only look at it from the first floor and could not go up to the top of the building. I was very disappointed.

Jiaxiu Tower is free to visit, and you can register to visit it during the day with valid certificates. Jiaxiu Tower has a three-story, three-eave, four-corner structure, which is unique among ancient buildings. The modern high-rise buildings behind Jiaxiu Tower give people a sense of time and space. Walking along the Nanming River, you can see Jiaxiu Tower from a distance, and its reflection in the water complements each other, which is very beautiful.

By Still speaking |

Jiaxiu Tower was built in the 26th year of the Wanli reign of the Ming Dynasty (1598) at the initiative of Jiang Dongzhi, the then governor of Guizhou. The name of the building was "outstanding in the imperial examinations" to encourage students to make progress in the imperial examinations and change the situation of scarce talents in Guizhou. Jiaxiu Tower is a three-story, three-eaved, four-cornered, pointed-roofed wooden and stone attic with white stone railings and layers of inward-looking roofs. It is a rare and isolated building in the history of ancient Chinese architecture. The overall red beams and green tiles set off the Nanming River and Hanbitan. The scenic area includes Fuyu Bridge (the original nine-hole stone bridge, with seven holes remaining, and the bridge body is carved with "stone dragon spitting water"), Hanbi Pavilion (the column is engraved with the famous Qing Dynasty couplet "Water comes out from the jade ring, and people walk in the green lotus petals") and Cuiwei Garden (ancient building complex of the Ming Dynasty, including Gongnan Pavilion, Longmen Academy, etc.), forming a unique landscape combination of "one bridge, one building and one pavilion".

Jiaxiu Tower, first built in the 26th year of the Wanli reign of the Ming Dynasty (1598), is 426 years old. It is a landmark building in Guiyang and a must-see when visiting Guiyang. Jiaxiu Tower stands on a raised boulder in the Nanming River that runs through the city.

By Cosmic Jack |

The landmark of Guiyang. The lighting is pretty good at night. There are many suspected Xiaohongshu users downstairs who are traveling and taking photos of ethnic costumes. You can go up to the building during the day, and there is a Cuiwei Garden next to it.

By Solo Traveler |

Guiyang Jiaxiu Tower, this quaint building standing on the bank of Nanming River, is undoubtedly a shining pearl in Guiyang. As a cultural landmark with a long history, it not only carries the charm of Ming Dynasty architecture, but also reflects the long years of Guiyang's development. During the day, the water and mountains surrounding Jiaxiu Tower make people feel relaxed and happy, as if they are stepping into an exquisite ink painting. When night falls, Jiaxiu Tower shows another style, with bright lights and sparkling water surface, forming a moving night scene, which attracts countless tourists to stop and watch and praise it.

The main structure of Jiaxiu Tower is not large, with only three floors. Cultural exhibitions are occasionally held inside, and the Cuiwei Garden outside is also a rare quiet place. The combination of the two makes the entire tour experience richer and more diverse.

Jiaxiu Tower is not only a highly ornamental scenic spot, but also a window to understand Guiyang's history and culture. It is a good place worth visiting for travelers who love to explore ancient sites or citizens who are looking for a relaxing corner of the city. Here, you can slow down and feel the tranquility and beauty that spans centuries, allowing your soul to rest for a moment.

As a landmark building in Guiyang, it is right on the roadside and the night view is quite beautiful. It does not need to be listed as a separate itinerary, you can stop by to take a look, it does not take much time, and there are many restaurants around, so you can eat and stroll around.

This is also a very famous scenic spot in Guiyang, and the night view is more beautiful. But in fact, I have no interest in this kind of small building.

Note: During the epidemic, you need to make an appointment in advance to visit Jiaxiu Tower. It's free. You can make an appointment on the same day, but only 400 people can be booked per day. Generally, you can't make an appointment if it's too late. We just took pictures outside.

It is also free.

At night, when the night lights of Jiaxiu Tower and Fuyu Bridge are turned on, the tower and the bridge complement each other, which can be said to be magnificent.

Jiaxiu Tower is the landmark of Guiyang and one of the iconic buildings in Guiyang. It has witnessed the development of Guiyang for hundreds of years. Jiaxiu Tower was built in the 26th year of Wanli in the Ming Dynasty (1598) and has a history of more than 400 years.

During the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty (1573-1620), the governor of Guizhou, Jiang Dongzhi, first advocated the construction of Jiaxiu Tower. The name "Jiaxiu" had a profound meaning. It not only deliberately pointed out that Guiyang's landscape was the most beautiful in Qianzhong, but also encouraged people to study hard.

By Ye Xingren |

I went there at night and all the attractions were closed. If you live nearby or are passing by, you can just wander around, but there is no need to go there specially.

By Bai Xubo |

It has to be said that as a landmark building representing the local history and culture in a provincial capital city, Jiaxiu Tower is still somewhat inferior to famous towers and pagodas in other places, both in terms of scenery and history.

By Arron1990 |

Jiaxiu Tower was first built in the Ming Dynasty. It was later destroyed and rebuilt and renamed "Laifeng Pavilion". In the Qing Dynasty, Jiaxiu Tower was rebuilt many times and restored to its original name. The existing building was rebuilt in the first year of Xuantong (1909). Jiaxiu Tower has three floors, with white stone railings, which are gradually retracted. The height from the bridge deck to the top of the building is about 20 meters. The Nanming River flows in front of the building and converges into Hanbitan. The side of the building is connected to the two banks by a stone arch "Fuyu Bridge". There was originally a small pavilion on the bridge called "Hanbitan Pavilion". Jiaxiu Tower has red beams and green tiles, surrounded by water and mountains, which is in line with its name and can be called Jiaxiu.

For someone like me who loves natural scenery, Jiaxiu Tower may just be an ancient building, purely a place to check in in Guizhou.

Jiaxiu Tower is located on the Nanming River in the south of Guiyang City. It was first built in the 26th year of the Wanli Period of the Ming Dynasty. Jiaxiu Tower was built in the late Ming Dynasty. It is located on a huge rock between the Nanming River. The two ends of the rock are connected by a large and six-hole Fuyu Bridge. It is also the most famous ancient building in Guiyang. It is a must-see attraction for tourists to Guiyang. At night, when the night lights of Jiaxiu Tower and Fuyu Bridge are turned on, the tower and the bridge complement each other, which is magnificent.

Jiaxiu Tower is a famous landmark in Guiyang, located in the center of the old city, with the Nanming River, the mother river of Guiyang, at its doorstep. It is a must-visit place for tourists to Guiyang. The night view is very beautiful, especially in summer. In this summer resort, the summer night is very cool. Watching the elderly taking a walk in the evening, you can feel the daily life of this city.

The uncles and aunts who went on the tour group said that Jiaxiu Tower was a must-see attraction and that there was nothing to see. But they came during the day. I think it is very beautiful at night when the lights are bright. The disadvantage of coming at night is that you cannot enter the park and can only see the lights.

Jiaxiu Tower: Guiyang's landmark building. In the night, under the lighting, it looks even more beautiful.

By happy love to laugh |

There are quite a few tourists in the evening, but it is not noisy. Strolling across the beautiful "Nine Eyes Shining on the Sandbank" - Fuyu Bridge, the Jiaxiu Tower on the opposite bank is particularly quiet under the dim moon, with the lights reflected on the tiles, and it is bright and colorful. I imagine that the ancients brewed tea and drank it here, drank wine in the winding stream, admired the scenery and wrote poems, sang and sang together, and the music was lively and grand. It was a charming scene and a beautiful scene.

By Little Fish Big Doctor |

The landscape lights at night are quite beautiful, and with the modern high-rise buildings next to them, they have a unique charm. There are people dancing in the square and playing spinning tops in the square next to them, which is very pleasant. Of course, there are also tourists who stop to take pictures.

"Jiaxiu Tower" is located on a huge rock in the middle of Nanming River in the southeast of Guiyang City. It was first built in the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty (1598) and is named after the meaning of "excellent academic achievement". There is a "Floating Jade Bridge" connecting the two banks. On the north bank, there is a carved stone archway with four pillars, three doors and five floors. On the plaque in the middle are four large characters "South City Scenic Spot". In the middle of the bridge stands a pavilion with four corners, four pillars, a single flying eaves and a pointed roof. This is the "Hanbi Pavilion". On the south bank is the ancient building complex "Cuiwei Garden". The pavilions, corridors and black tiles and white walls in the garden are where the Ming Dynasty educator Wang Yangming gave lectures.

"Jiaxiu Tower" is built on a huge rock in the river, with a stone base, white carved stone railings, three floors, 12 stone square columns, green tubular tiles, single flying eaves, and four corners with pointed roofs. Climbing up the tower and looking down, you can see the green water of Nanming River, the weeping willows, the archway, the pavilion, the long bridge and the pavilion, which complement each other, creating a rare and exquisite garden courtyard.

Jiaxiu Tower is a historical and cultural landmark of Guiyang. It’s not a big place, so it’s nice to take a quick walk around and take some photos.

By No traces in the snow |

Jiaxiu Tower is located on the Nanming River in the south of Guiyang City and was built on a huge rock in the river.

In the evening, Jiaxiu Tower looks particularly solemn and majestic under the setting sun. Jiaxiu Tower is not open to the public, so tourists cannot enter and can only walk on the bridge below to admire it.

Jiaxiu Tower is open to the public for free during the day. It is said that the top floor is a teahouse, but since it is closed on Mondays, we just walked around the periphery. There are tourist sidewalks on both sides of the river. If the weather is good, there will probably be many people doing morning exercises and walking.

By A Place Further Than the Universe |

Jiaxiu Tower is actually just a pavilion. There is a Cuiwei Garden next to it, which is also quite small. To be honest, there is no need to make a special trip.

Guiyang Jiaxiu Tower is really different during the day and at night. It is a common sight during the day, but extremely beautiful at night. So you can go there at night, but if it is not blue sky and white clouds during the day, you don't need to go there.

The group of traditional buildings under the blue sky and white clouds is Jiaxiu Tower.

Standing on the bridge, you can see modern Guiyang all around. It is rare to preserve this tradition in the bustling city center.

Compared with the surrounding high-rise buildings, the imagined Jiaxiu Tower is a bit smaller, but its dignity and heaviness are still there.

It is no longer possible to climb up the tower and look out from afar, so it is still necessary to go inside and take a look.

By Attack of Pig Eight |

I personally think that Jiaxiu Tower is worth visiting. First of all, you don't need a ticket. Second, the night view of Jiaxiu Tower is still very beautiful. In the morning, it is mediocre. You can come here for a walk after dinner. You can finish the view in half an hour.
