The Qinglong Cave Scenic Area is a few hundred meters away from the hotel after crossing the small bridge. In fact, the room I changed to later was right opposite it. It closes at 5:30 pm, so I went to visit it first. The ticket price is 60 yuan per person. People over 60 years old are free of charge, but they need to buy 3 yuan insurance, probably because they need to climb high.

The entire Qinglong Cave scenic area is located on the hillside of Zhonghe Mountain in Zhenyuan. It integrates the temples of Taoism, Confucianism and Buddhism into the giant rock cave. Because the mountain is steep, Ziyang Cave, Qinglong Cave, Wanshou Palace and other pavilions were built on the cliff. It is really a clever and bold layout, and the building complex is also known as the Hanging Temple of the Southwest. In 1988, the scenic area was rated as a national key cultural relic protection unit

Qinglong Cave is the best place to overlook Zhenyuan from a height. It is located to the northwest of the S-shaped Yuyang River. The ancient town in the mist and the layers of mountains behind it, with occasional fishermen casting their nets passing by, look even more fairy-like in the drizzle.

Guizhou people believe in Feng Shui, and in order to avoid showing off their wealth and keeping out evil spirits, the main gate of Qinglong Cave is never open, and the entrance is on the easternmost side. Qinglong Cave, with a building every five steps and a pavilion every ten steps, is known as the "Hanging Temple of the South" and was first built in the early Ming Dynasty. Here we can see the Taoist temple, the Great Buddha Hall, the Wanshou Palace, and the harmonious picture of the integration of Buddhism and Taoism.

The pavilions, terraces, towers and pavilions built against the mountain are magnificent and are truly classics in the history of architecture.

The cliffs are covered with red ribbons for blessing, praying for "peace and prosperity, good health, and everlasting happiness".

The grand stage of the "Qinglongdong" Chamber of Commerce Hall is in no way inferior to the grand stage of the Summer Palace and Empress Dowager Cixi!

Climbing to the top of the Qinglong Cave ancient building complex, you can enjoy the panoramic view of the Wuyang River and Zhenyuan Ancient Town.

The Qinglong Cave ancient building complex was first built in the 21st year of Hongwu in the Ming Dynasty (1388), and has a history of more than 600 years. It consists of 35 individual buildings in 6 locations, including Zhusheng Bridge, Zhongyuan Zen Temple, Ziyang Academy, Qinglong Cave, Wanshou Palace, and Xiangluyan.

Qinglong Cave is a group of ancient buildings built on cliffs, integrating Confucianism, Taoism and Buddhism. It looks quite spectacular from a distance. After we went in to visit, we found that the buildings here can be seen as ancient buildings, but they are not special. You can overlook the scenery of the ancient town from the attic, which feels pretty good. The full price ticket for Qinglong Cave is 60 yuan. When we traveled there, the A-level scenic spot was free of charge. It took about 40 minutes to visit the entire Qinglong Cave.

Qinglong Cave was built in the middle of the Ming Dynasty and has a history of 500 years. It has been destroyed by wars and restored several times. Today it covers an area of more than 20,000 square meters and has become a religious and cultural tourist attraction and architectural expo area consisting of 36 individual buildings in six parts, including Qinglong Cave, Zichan Academy, Zhongchan Academy, Wanshouguan, Zhusheng Bridge and Xiangluyan.

The Qinglong Cave Ancient Buildings Complex is a national key cultural relic protection unit. It is a wonder of cliff-mounted ancient buildings and gardens. It is a complex of Buddhist, Taoist, Confucian and secular ancient buildings that integrates Buddhist scripture halls, Taoist temples, Confucian academies and guild halls. It is a unique ancient building complex in the country that cleverly combines Central Plains architecture with Miao and Dong stilt houses. It was built in the middle of the Ming Dynasty and is known as the "Hanging Temple of the South". It is also known as the Guizhou Ancient Building Museum.

Qinglong Cave is built along the cliff and hangs in the air against the wall, like a group of giant reliefs that are ingeniously crafted. It is hidden among the ancient trees and forests, and complements the nearby Zhusheng Bridge and Wuyang River, making it a tourist destination with unique scenery.

I didn't have high expectations for Zhenyuan Ancient Town, but the first sight of the Fairy Cave on the other side of the river, combined with the misty mountains, really surprised me. One of my favorite scenery is this kind of fairyland favored by Taoists. Walking across the stone bridge and entering the Fairy Cave, there is a fortune-attracting golden toad squatting at the ticket gate, which is really auspicious:) Walking into the Fairy Cave, it feels more like Journey to the West. The whole Zhenyuan is surrounded by mountains and rivers, and it is very beautiful, whether it is the misty daytime or the starry night. Living by the river, the affordable prices and the lively environment make me love this place very much, and I plan to stay a few more days.

Qinglong Cave is a paid scenic spot in Zhenyuan Ancient City. The scenic area is not large and can be visited in an hour. The scenic area is mainly a step-by-step mountaineering road, but the physical intensity is not high. It is very beautiful to climb the pavilion of the scenic area and look at the ancient city in the distance.

The Qinglong Cave Scenic Area can be toured in about an hour, and you can see the entire ancient town from the top.

This is a small building complex with several temples connected together. There is a Sutra Library and some Taoist temples. From here you can overlook the beautiful scenery of the ancient town. Occasionally, a small boat passes by, and you can also see the residents and tourists of the town opposite. I think if I have time, I really want to bring my family or friends here to have a rest, feel the beautiful scenery, and feel the slow time.

Qinglong Cave is backed by green mountains and faces green water, and you can overlook the panoramic view of Zhenyuan. If you want to see an uninhabited Zhenyuan, it is recommended to go there early. There are stilt houses overlooking the river, quiet and secluded temple platforms, student colleges with the sound of reading, and stages with loud gongs and drums. It is a gathering of mountains, rivers, and pavilions from all over the world.

Qinglong Cave Ticket: 60 yuan; Suggested Visiting Time: 60-90 minutes. The ticket office and the trailhead are just opposite the Zhusheng Bridge.

Zhenyuan has hundreds of cultural relics and historical sites, including ancient buildings, ancient cliff carvings, ancient dwellings and revolutionary historical and cultural relics, including 3 national key cultural relics protection units, 6 provincial cultural relics protection units and 114 county-level cultural relics protection units. The ancient building complex represented by Qinglong Cave is an ancient building complex that integrates Buddhist scripture halls, Taoist temples, Confucian academies and guild halls. It has both garden charm and temple style.

Qinglong Cave is a tall and straight mountain with steep cliffs. It is backed by green mountains and faces green water. It is close to the wall and overlooks the sky. It is called "Kuixing Pavilion" or "Zhuangyuan Building". "The first cave in Guizhou" is an inscription engraved on the Qinglong Cave in Zhenyuan. It has become a microcosm of Zhenyuan culture.

After going up, I felt it was just so-so. Many of them were rebuilt, lacking some historical atmosphere. Just look at it from the outside. There are many big brothers around Qinglong Cave. It is recommended not to rush over to take a selfie with him on a whim. He will charge you 20 dollars, even if you just take a selfie with him casually.

I read some other reviews saying there wasn't much to see. Although others said so, many things still need to be experienced by yourself, so I didn't buy a ticket to see it, but just took this photo, haha~~~~

The Qinglong Cave ancient building complex is somewhat similar to the Hanging Temple in Shanxi, and is known as the "Hanging Temple of the South".

The biggest attraction here is that this is a unique ancient building complex in China that cleverly combines the Central Plains architecture with the Miao and Dong stilt houses. It integrates Buddhist scripture halls, Taoist temples, Confucian academies, and guild halls, and has a more secular atmosphere than the Hanging Temple in the north. However, these scripture halls are really not interesting. The statues inside are all newly made and have low artistic value. There are some common sense introductions in each room, so you can just visit them.

By Sanbay |

Qinglong Cave is a national key cultural relic protection site. Although the mountain is not big or high, it is a place where Buddhism, Taoism and Confucianism gather together, and where guild halls and rivers and lakes coexist. It is a unique mountain. What is even more unique is that the buildings in Qinglong Cave are suspended in the air. According to the tour guide, it is one of the three famous suspended buildings along with Yungang Grottoes (should it be the Hanging Temple in Datong?) and Tianshui Maijishan Grottoes.

Once you pass the ticket gate, you will see the Main Hall of the Buddhist Zhongyuan Zen Temple.

The inscriptions of "Reclining Buddha and Drunken Immortal" on the mountain wall reveal that Buddhism and Taoism have coexisted on this mountain since ancient times.

Behind it is the large Qinglong Cave Taoist Temple, which was also repaired and rebuilt on the basis of Ming and Qing Dynasty ruins.

There is also the Confucian Ziyang Academy among the Zen and Taoist temples, which also enshrines the tablets of Confucius and the Neo-Confucian master Zhu Xi. The academy is named after Zhu Xi and has trained many literati and scholars for Zhenyuan.

Next to Ziyang Academy, there is a triangular pavilion built according to the terrain. It is small and exquisite, with three legs standing on a tripod. It is different from the usual four-pillar, hexagonal, and octagonal pavilions. It has never been seen elsewhere and is also a unique feature of Qinglong Cave.

By Listen to the sound of the sea |

Qinglong Cave appears particularly peaceful amidst the bustling streets. Standing on the observation deck of Qinglong Cave, you can enjoy a panoramic view of the ancient town of Zhenyuan.

By Water |

Actually it is a temple complex. Nice architecture. Very beautiful.

The most regrettable thing is that because the Qinglong Cave Scenic Area is under renovation, the entire scenic area, the ancient bridge and the Kuixing Pavilion are not lit, which reduces the flavor of the night.

By The Mountain is Silent |

Among the many scenic spots and historical sites in Zhenyuan, the most famous is the Qinglong Cave ancient building complex from the Ming and Qing dynasties, located on Zhonghe Mountain in the east of the city.

"Small seclusion in the mountains and forests, great seclusion in the city", along the river bank to Qinglong Cave, in the lush green, if you don't look carefully, it's hard to notice that there is such a huge ancient building complex inside this small mountain gate. The entire building complex is backed by green mountains and faces green water. It is built according to the terrain, overlapping and uneven, vertical and horizontal, and gathers the world's mountains, rivers and pavilions in one place. There are both palaces and pavilions with flying eaves, and quiet and secluded temples. The magnificent momentum, unique shape, ingenious workmanship, and natural integration.

We visited the Qinglong Cave ancient building complex, which is known as the holy land of Buddhism, Taoism and Confucianism. P.S. It is suitable to wear comfortable shoes. You have to climb a small hill. The tour guide also explained the historical changes of the ancient town Wuyang River.

By Fish swimming in spring water |

In the afternoon, avoid the crowds, walk across the Zhusheng Bridge and come to Qinglong Cave. You can complete the tour of Qinglong Cave without too much physical strength, experience Taoist culture, see the horse-head walls in the ancient city, the honest and solid houses, and the green Wuyang River running through the city. You can see the dignified and quiet Zhenyuan from different perspectives, which is another beautiful sight.

After strolling through the ancient alleys, we took the bus to the Qinglong Cave Ancient Buildings Group, which is actually just across the inn, across the Zhusheng Bridge. Check the guide. This is a scenic spot of great tourist value in Zhenyuan. It is also the largest and most exquisite ancient building complex in Guizhou, integrating Buddhist scripture halls, Taoist temples, Confucian academies, and guild halls. It is a unique ancient building complex that cleverly combines the Central Plains architecture with the Miao and Dong stilt houses. It is known as the "Southern Hanging Temple" and the "Guizhou Ancient Building Museum."

The steep Qinglong Cave

The wooden buildings with mortise and tenon structures built against the mountainside take advantage of the cliffs and rocks, creating a majestic look.

There are many steps, some of which are very dangerous, with only two iron chains as handrails, which are not very suitable for the elderly and children.

The tickets are not expensive. Guangdong residents can get a 50% discount by showing their ID cards, and children under 12 years old are free.

Qinglong Cave opens at 8am. The ticket office is very inefficient and you will encounter tour groups buying more than a dozen tickets at once. It is recommended to go as early as possible. When I went there, there were preferential policies in some provinces (Anhui, Jiangsu, and Hangzhou seemed to be free tickets). Students must remember to bring their student ID cards! Most scenic spots are half-price~

In the highest pavilion of Qinglong Cave, you can see the panoramic view of Zhenyuan Ancient City (the Bagua pattern). There are also many tour guides who can give free explanations.

From the name I always thought it was a cave, but I didn't expect it to be a small Hanging Temple. It only looks like the Hanging Temple from a distance, but of course it can't be compared with the Hanging Temple.

By Say something to yourself |

Qinglong Cave is the largest ancient building complex in Guizhou Province. It has a long history, dating back to the Hongwu period of the Ming Dynasty. From the point of view of time, I personally think it may be related to the Ming Dynasty's adjustment of the north and the south. Qinglong Cave was built on the mountain. It is a temple that integrates the three religions of "Buddhism, Confucianism and Taoism", so there are both monks and Taoists who practice here. Entering from the entrance of Qinglong Cave, the first place you come to is the Buddhist Zhongzheng Zen Temple. The main hall is dedicated to the Jade Buddha Sakyamuni welcomed by Myanmar. The Taoist Qinglong Temple is the highest point of Qinglong Cave. The Wuyang River under the mountain is unobstructed and the scenery is excellent. The Jade Emperor is of course enshrined in the Jade Emperor Pavilion. On weekdays, we have little contact with Taoism. The Taoist master also popularized some knowledge and taught everyone how to make Tai Chi gestures with their hands to worship. After visiting Qinglong Cave, the most impressive thing is the beauty of the architecture here. The stone walls here are steep, and the temple is built on the mountain, half leaning against the mountain and half hanging in the air. When visiting, you can clearly identify the intersection of the stone wall and the suspended wooden planks. It is amazing to think that hundreds of years ago, such a building was combined with the natural stone wall so exquisitely, which is absolutely ingenious!

The rock on the opposite bank of Wuyang River, which corresponds to Shiping Mountain behind, is called Zhonghe Mountain. The buildings on the mountain wall are somewhat similar to the Hanging Temple of Hengshan Mountain. From north to south, there are academies, Taoist temples, and monasteries, which can be said to be a combination of Buddhism, Taoism, Confucianism, and secularism.

Watching the drones flying back and forth over the Wuyang River and between the cliffs and eaves, I think the integration of various faiths here is something that the Hanging Temple cannot compare to.

It is majestic, bold in conception and exquisite in layout.

This is the most worthwhile attraction among the free admission attractions. Not only are the layered temples and halls built against the mountain interesting to see, but you can also get the best vantage point for taking photos by climbing up high, with a panoramic view of the Zhusheng Bridge and Wuyang River.

Calling it the "Hanging Temple of the Southwest" is a bit exaggerated. It is an ancient building complex that combines Confucianism, Buddhism and Taoism. It enshrines Wen Tianxiang and has the only triangular pavilion in China. The brick carvings exported are good.

From the outside, it looks like a nice building with a sense of age. But it opens at 8:30 in the morning. People who have been waiting here all day can go and have a look.

It would be a great pity if you come to Zhenyuan and don’t visit the Qinglong Cave ancient building complex. It is one of the many hanging temples in my country. Its danger is comparable to the Hanging Temple of Hengshan Mountain in Shanxi, but because it faces the green Wuyang River and backs on the emerald green Zhonghe Mountain, it has more beauty and spirituality of the Jiangnan scenery!

Here, with blue bricks and black tiles, high fire walls, flying eaves and corners, carved beams and painted buildings, Confucianism, Taoism, Buddhism and secular buildings are gathered on one mountain, and Confucianism, Taoism and Buddhism are gathered in one place, which makes you sigh at the breadth and depth of Chinese culture! Looking around the world, people in the distance are fighting for different religious beliefs, and people of the same sect but different sects are ignoring their own and others' lives because of the ambiguity of doctrines. You have to be impressed by the broad-mindedness of Chinese culture!

Climbing to the commanding heights of the Qinglong Cave ancient building complex, you will see winding ancient streets and alleys, well-arranged stone bridges and city walls, a myriad of clear water and morning mist, and poetic boat trips in the evening!

Here, you can appreciate the beauty of the winding Wuyang River from all angles, appreciate the charm of the simple philosophy of the harmony of yin and yang in the ancient Taiji Town, and feel the majestic momentum of the Zhusheng Bridge that stretches across both sides of the Wuyang River and dominates the world!

The Qinglongdong Ancient Buildings is an important tourist attraction of Zhenyuan. It is the largest and most exquisite ancient building complex in Guizhou, and is still famous in Southeast Asian countries such as Myanmar. The ticket is 50 yuan, but we are all knowledgeable but uneducated people, so we are not very interested in it and just watch from a distance.

Qinglong Cave has 36 single buildings, which are composed of 6 parts, namely Zhusheng Bridge, Zhongyuan Zen Temple, Ziyang Academy, Yuhuang Pavilion, Wanshou Palace, and Xianglu Rock. Qinglong Cave consists of Zhongyuan Cave, Wanshou Palace, Yuhuang Pavilion, etc. The cave is located between cliffs, with a stone gate open beside the water. On the stone plaque on the door is engraved with seal characters "The First Cave in Guizhou".

The Qinglongdong ancient building complex is located on a cliff in Zhonghe Mountain in the east of Zhenyuan Ancient Town. It is considered the most shining attraction of the ancient town.

Qinglong Cave was first built in the 21st year of Hongwu in the Ming Dynasty (1388 AD). It has 36 single buildings, integrating Confucianism, Buddhism and Taoism. It has Taoist temples, Buddhist temples and scripture buildings, as well as Confucian academies and temples. It is backed by green mountains, faces green waters, and is close to the cave and cliffs. There is a building every five steps and a pavilion every ten steps. At first glance, it looks very similar to the Hanging Temple in Shanxi, but it is much larger than the Hanging Temple.

Qinglong Cave is known as the "Hanging Temple of the Southwest". It is a national key cultural relic protection unit and the most spectacular ancient building complex in the province. The temples and scripture pavilions here are all built on the mountain, floating among the cliffs of Zhonghe Mountain beside the Wuyang River.

The entrance fee to the temple is 60 yuan per person. The surrounding buildings such as the Zhusheng Bridge can be visited for free.

This is an ancient building that accommodates Confucianism, Taoism, and Buddhism at the same time. It is built on steep rocks. Believers can find the gods they believe in to worship. Legend has it that Zhang Sanfeng once traveled here and was amazed by the peculiar terrain of Zhenyuan County (the S-shaped Wuyang River divides the county into a Tai Chi pattern), which made it convenient for him to practice in Qinglong Cave; Zhu Xi, a great Confucian scholar in the Song Dynasty, also gave lectures here. The stairs in the cave are narrow and steep, and you need to be careful when climbing, but it also gives this ancient building a unique sense of history.
