One of the largest Dong villages in China, with more than 6,000 residents, it is known as the "No. 1 Dong Village".
All the houses in the village are stilt houses, built along the river in an orderly manner.
The village is inhabited by the Dong people with the surname Lu. The village is divided into natural areas by the drum tower, which are called "tuan" locally. The addresses of various hotels are also based on the names of the tuan.
The drum tower is the symbol of the Dong village, where people gather, socialize and relax. The five drum towers have different appearances, heights and sizes, which are a magnificent sight.

Zhaoxing Dong Village is located between the mountains, and Tang'an Dong Village is not far from the mountain. Compared with it, Shaoxing Dong Village has a strong commercial atmosphere and tickets that cost money. If you look down from Tang'an Dong Village, the brightly lit Zhaoxing Dong Village is under the terraced fields. It is said that people have always mostly just passed through Zhaoxing Dong Village, with the purpose of visiting Tang'an Dong Village, which has more beautiful scenery and more original ecology. For this reason, Zhaoxing Dong Village has included the road leading to Tang'an Dong Village in its own scenic area, inducing tourists to buy tickets and stay here. This trip was driven by navigation to Tang'an Dong Village, and it was indeed blocked by the toll station of Zhaoxing Dong Village Scenic Area. So I remind all friends who drive to Tang'an Dong Village to navigate to "Shuikou Town" and navigate to Tang'an Dong Village here. Otherwise, you will only be blocked by Zhaoxing Dong Village. The attached picture is a screenshot of the route and a distant shot at Tang'an Dong Village. I would like to add that the indigenous people of Tang'an Dong Village are very hospitable and there is no entrance fee.
Located in Liping County, Qiandongnan Miao and Dong Autonomous Prefecture, Guizhou Province, it is one of the largest Dong villages in the Qiandongnan Dong area. It covers an area of 180,000 square meters, with more than 800 households and more than 4,000 residents, and is known as the "No. 1 Dong Village in Liping". Zhaoxing is not only the hometown of drum towers, but also the hometown of singing and dancing. There are Dong singing groups and Dong opera troupes in the village. Zhaoxing Dong Village is full of Lu surname Dong people, divided into five major clans, living in five natural areas, which are locally called "tuan". It is divided into five groups: Rentuan, Yituan, Lituan, Zhituan, and Xintuan.
"Low-key luxury" store visit group check-in [Love]
丨There is an attitude for eating, drinking and having fun, and there is a pursuit for visiting stores and checking in.
Be true to yourself and explore the fun in life in a low-key manner!
❣️ Xiao Fengzi's embarrassing journey during the Spring Festival ❣️
Zhaoxing Dong Village Scenic Area
It's a 4A-level scenic spot, and city residents can get free tickets. As a Zhejiang tourist, this ID card looks particularly cute, because I can finally visit the scenic spot for free.
Opening hours - It is open all day long. After buying the ticket, you can move freely, which is very convenient.
If you drive here by yourself, you have to park your car at the ticket office 3.5 kilometers away, and you have to take a sightseeing bus or walk, which is very inconvenient.
Location-Liping County, Qiandongnan Miao and Dong Autonomous Prefecture
Title-One of the largest Dong villages in the Dong area of Southeast Guizhou (so you can see many similar villages when you play here)
This is an old street full of life. We are tourists, coming to see other people's lives; those doing business are naturally outsiders, coming to make money;
But there is still no shortage of people living here. They were born and raised here, and lead a happy life every day.
Zhaoxing Dong Village is the village that appeared on the Spring Festival Gala. The main street is a commercial street, not big, and you can walk through it in about ten minutes. There are shops and restaurants everywhere. Walking along the small paths along the river in the deep alleys, you can see the villagers catching fish, dyeing cloth, roasting fires, and doing farm work, which are scenes of rural life. There are also various beautiful drum towers and wind and rain bridges. The painting of Rentuan Flower Bridge is particularly beautiful, maybe it was renovated later. The free performances in the evening are still quite good. The actors are all very professional. The night view of Dong Village is very beautiful. After watching the performance, you can take a walk around to see the night view.
I personally think it is better to live in Zhaoxing Dong Village and then go to other villages. Zhaoxing has complete facilities, many inns, restaurants and supermarkets, and there are shuttle buses to Liping, Basha and Tang'an.
Zhaoxing Dong Village was not our first choice, but we were eventually attracted by it because of its convenient transportation, low commercialization, and unique ethnic characteristics. After arriving at Congjiang Station, you can take a special bus to Zhaoxing Dong Village at the bus station on the right side of the exit. Compared with other places in Guizhou, this kind of transportation is already very convenient. The journey is not long, about 20 minutes, and the road is relatively deserted, with only a few houses and mountain roads. The special bus costs 10 yuan per person and supports WeChat payment; it is quite clean, but the body is relatively small and the position is relatively narrow. The place to get off is under the bend of one of the entrances to the Dong Village. The car cannot drive up, so we can only get off here. The driver is very kind and took the initiative to tell us that he will wait for the bus here on the return trip. There are not many tourists along the way. It was drizzling and the ground was still wet. I saw snow on the roof on the way. It should have snowed a little last night. The snow piles on the main road of the Dong Village have not been cleared yet, and many locals are sitting under the drum tower and roasting fire. There are really too few tourists in Zhaoxing Dong Village. I don't know if it's the wrong time to come or it has always had so few tourists. Maybe many people don't know Zhaoxing Dong Village. When they go to Guizhou, they can only think of Xijiang Qianhu Miao Village. In fact, Zhaoxing Dong Village is also a place with little fame. After all, it is a branch venue of the Spring Festival Gala and has been rated as the most beautiful village. After finding the inn, I walked around casually. It really doesn't feel like a tourist destination at all. There are almost no tourists. There are locals all the way. The houses in the Dong Village are all wooden houses, and there are many pools around for fire fighting. There are free cars in the village that can pass through the village. We took one on the way back. After crossing the wooden plank road, you can see another entrance to Zhaoxing Dong Village. Nearby is a terraced field and a parking lot for environmentally friendly vehicles in the scenic area. Because I want to go to the viewing platform, I crossed the terraced field. After walking across the road, you can see the sign for the viewing platform by walking to the side. The way up is not very far, but it is a bit steep. Be careful when you come down at night. The viewing platform can see the panoramic view of Zhaoxing Dong Village! But it was not dark when I came up, so I could still see the smoke from the cooking. After dark, the lights in the village will light up, which is even more beautiful~ (Unfortunately, the pixel of my mobile phone can't keep up with my eyes, it will be more beautiful when I see it with my naked eyes~~)
Zhaoxing Dong Village is only 8 kilometers away from Congjiang High-speed Railway Station, and it takes about 20 minutes to drive there, so it is very convenient whether you drive or take the high-speed rail. As soon as you exit the station, there are many cars going to Zhaoxing Dong Village. Generally speaking, it is more cost-effective for several people to share a car. There is a large parking lot at the entrance of the Dong Village, and all foreign vehicles are parked at the entrance.
The ticket office is full of ethnic style. As it became a branch venue of CCTV Spring Festival Gala the year before, the fame of Zhaoxing Dong Village has been continuously improved, and the layout of the venue has been preserved. After entering the gate of the scenic area, you can take a sightseeing bus directly to the gate of the village. The ticket is 10 yuan and the ride takes 10 minutes. Those who like hiking can walk in along the trail. The trail also has stairs extending up the mountain. It is said that it takes about 2 hours to visit the whole circle.
There is a terraced field at the gate of the village, and further in is the core area of the Dong village. The drum tower is carved with beams and painted with rafters. Although it is not as exquisitely carved as the royal buildings in the north, it has a primitive simplicity. The building density in the village is very high, basically building by building, and the road in the middle is mostly paved with bluestone slabs, and the width is enough for two minibuses to pass. The buildings facing the street are basically merchants, with restaurants, bars, supermarkets, pharmacies, and souvenir shops. As the sky gradually darkened, the lights in the village gradually lit up. There were not many tourists and the streets were not crowded. This state made people enjoy it very much. After dinner, it was completely dark, and the lights in the village were all lit up. There was a stream in the middle of the village, and the buildings on both sides faced each other across the water. The water flowed down, and it was not as deafening as the big rivers, but the gurgling stream, quiet and gentle. The drum towers are basically by the water, and the reflections are like a painting. There are murals painted in the drum tower, which basically tell the stories of the hard work of ethnic minority compatriots. As the center of life for each "group", the drum tower carries many social attributes. For example, on the night we went there, everyone gathered here to watch TV dramas with a projection, chatting while watching, and having a great time. The Dong people are a nation that is good at singing and dancing. There are often girls and boys carrying various musical instruments on the streets. The spontaneously formed choirs and opera troupes can also sing anytime and anywhere when they get together. This scene of gathering together in traditional ethnic costumes to sing and dance is really immersive, close contact and even participation, which is quite exciting. It was amazing as soon as it started. It was completely different from the music we were exposed to before. The melody was melodious and fascinating. To be honest, I had goose bumps all over my body after listening to it. I heard that there would be a song and dance performance at the village gate early the next morning. Before nine o'clock, we arrived at the village gate. Many people had gathered here, waiting for the performance to begin. The silver ornaments on the heads of the Dong girls were exquisitely made, with various figures and patterns carved intricately, lifelike, and shining in the sun. The whole show will last about 15 minutes, and there will be a toast at the end, drinking homemade rice wine. There are clothing rentals in the village, no deposit required, 30 per set, unlimited time, this is very cost-effective. Batu's daughter rented a set of clothes, the silver ornaments and headdresses on this dress are obviously not as good as their own clothes, but think about it, it is understandable.
It is only 3 kilometers away from Congjiang County High-speed Railway Station (haha, my country's high-speed rail is so great that it has allowed so many villages to get out of the mountains). It takes about 1 hour and 40 minutes to take the high-speed rail from Guiyang, which is much easier than taking a bus, which takes 5 hours. After getting off the high-speed rail, you can choose to take public transportation to the gate of the Dong Village, or you can choose to charter a car.
Compared to the bustling Xijiang, Zhaoxing seems to be a little deserted. After all, this is not a must-go place for tour groups. I met several student groups and one foreign group, which shows that the group composition is relatively unconventional. After walking a short distance from the entrance, there is a long shopping street, which is nothing new and the things are not expensive.
The five wind and rain bridges in the Dong Village are called painted bridges. You can see some paintings reflecting local folk customs on the bridges, which are simple and beautiful. I encountered a group of Dong people singing under the drum tower. I don’t know if it was their Dong ethnic group’s big song. I stopped to listen carefully. I couldn’t understand it, but it sounded quite nice, a mysterious language.
Recommendation index: 5 stars. Zhaoxing Dong Village is not big, and there are no buses. Private cars need to park, and there are very few parking spaces. If you want to visit Zhaoxing Dong Village, you must visit Tang'an upstream. You can take a bus there for 20 yuan per person. It would be a pity to miss it. The Dong Village at night is like gold casting, solid as a rock, and extremely brilliant. There are also performances at night, I hope you don't miss it. We watched it the next day. But because it was cold, we left before the end. The Dong Village is a pastoral scenery during the day.
At four o'clock in the evening, we arrived at the gate of Zhaoxing Dong Village, where the CCTV Spring Festival Gala was held.
There were people selling tickets and contacting accommodation at the entrance, but I didn't believe them. The actual ticket price was 100 yuan, 80 yuan online, and if there were many people, you could ask a local to buy a group ticket for 60 yuan. The shuttle bus was 10 yuan one way. When we left the Dong Village the next day, we found a local who chartered a car to Tang'an Dong Village. He could buy group tickets and save the cost of a shuttle bus.
There are five such drum towers in Zhaoxing Dong Village with beautiful shapes, unique structures, flying pavilions and double eaves, and majestic momentum. A group of people sit in the middle of the drum tower with charcoal fire lit in the middle. It is said that every big family has to raise funds to build a drum tower. The drum tower is a symbol of good luck and a sign of prosperity. It also has functions such as leisure, meeting, and sacrifice.
The Dong village is surrounded by mountains. The houses in the village are all wooden stilt houses built along the mountains and rivers. They are lined up in a staggered manner, simple and practical. There is a small river running through the village, and five wind and rain bridges are built on the river. The wind and rain bridges are also the landmark buildings of the Dong village. The lights of the drum tower are dazzling at night. Climbing to the observation deck, you can see the night view of the entire Dong village, which is also a beautiful view. At 8 o'clock in the evening, watch the song and dance performance of the Dong people. Although it is free, the performers are very dedicated, the lights are dazzling, and the sound is melodious.
The commercialization here is not very serious, it is still in a relatively primitive state, and the passenger flow is also small. It is much more comfortable than Xijiang Qianhu Miao Village. The clothes of Dong men are relatively simple, and the women's clothes are not as gorgeous as those in Miao Village. There are not many headdresses, and the skirts are basically short skirts, each with its own characteristics. Glutinous rice wrapped in pork, using local fragrant pork, with a side dish, fragrant and spicy, especially delicious, highly recommended.
Maybe it's because it didn't become famous early enough, so there won't be a huge crowd here during the peak summer vacation season. The quaint and mysterious border village scenery blends with the green mountains and beautiful valleys, creating a picture of a fairyland in the world. Outside the village gate is a green rice field. The sun in August is very strong, and all the rice releases a mellow and fresh rice fragrance under the evaporation of the sun. Even I, who didn't grow up in the fields, couldn't help but take a few deep breaths, thinking that I had a childhood interest. The only building that can rival the drum tower in the Dong Village is the Fengyu Bridge, also known as the Flower Bridge. Locals like to sit on the bridge to rest and chat. Killing time in casual conversation every day is a luxury that we can't hope for. In all the inns and shops in Zhaoxing, you can see such a hand-painted map, which not only clearly draws the terrain of the entire Dong Village and the locations of major landmark buildings, but also intimately marks some well-known restaurants and accommodations (「・ω・)「, which is quite valuable for tourists. The houses here are along the river, but not on the main road, so it is relatively quiet. On both sides of the stone road are two- or three-story wooden Dongjia small buildings. The first floor is mostly shops, and the second and third floors are for living. Business is the business of us outsiders, and life is still the life of their native people. Many shops sell local specialty products, rows of bacon, pieces of tea cakes, which are much more interesting than the stereotyped "Yiwu Small Commodity Wholesale Store" 233333. The shops in the alleys are more distinctive, all of which are very traditional Dongjia costumes, and even dyed fabrics can be sold. There are many dogs in Zhaoxing, lying on the streets, not afraid of people and even a little cool... Walked to another section of the main street. The bluestone road was replaced by water, and the street became very narrow, but the pavilions on the other side of the river seemed more charming. Keep going forward, and the view will be broadened. The fields and houses restore the more daily life of the locals. Against the backdrop of the blue sky and rice, the stacked small houses are particularly peaceful. If you have time, you can climb up the small hill opposite the village and overlook the lights of the entire Dong village from the observation deck.
When you exit the Congjiang high-speed railway station, someone will ask you if you are going to the Dong Village, and then guide you to take the bus from the high-speed railway station directly to the Dong Village, which costs 10 yuan per person. The ticket office of Zhaoxing Dong Village is the venue for the 18th Spring Festival Gala, which is about 3 kilometers away from the village gate. When the bus arrives at the ticket office, it will ask you to buy a ticket and then drive in to wait for you. After you get the ticket, you will be taken to the village gate, so you don’t need to buy a sightseeing ticket when taking this bus, and the same applies to the return trip.
Nowadays all scenic spots use the same trick: the ticket office and the main entrance to the attraction are built far apart, so that they can charge a sightseeing bus fee.
Take a panoramic photo of the Dong village from the observation deck. There is a small terraced field in front of the village gate, which is a good prospect!
There will be a welcoming performance at the entrance of the village around 8 o'clock every morning. It is very short, less than 10 minutes, but there will be a performance every 15 minutes or half an hour until around 10 o'clock.
Zhaoxing Dong Village is most famous for its drum tower group (if you don’t know, just search on Baidu; I won’t go into details). The entire village is divided into 5 groups, 5 drum towers, 5 flower bridges, and 5 stages. It seems that there is a pool in front of each drum tower?
It was harvest season, and the whole village was full of glutinous rice and tea seeds drying in the sun. Even the stage in front of the drum tower was full of glutinous rice.
I got up in the morning, had breakfast and was walking on the street. I was attracted by the sound of firecrackers and happened to come across a local Dong people’s wedding.
The man's "bride price" (it should not be called a betrothal gift in the Dong ethnic group) includes glutinous rice, wine, etc., which are carried in a basket to the woman's home. But these things are not all for the woman, but for the woman to share with her family and friends. The woman's return gift is also very special, all shoes.
Some were made by myself, and some were bought. There were about 13 baskets in total, or 26 baskets, but they were all shared with the man and his relatives and friends.
These shoes were not called "dowry" at that time, because according to their customs, the dowry would not be given until the child was one month old, such as large items such as refrigerators and color TVs.
The wedding banquet was also very simple, using disposable bowls to serve each dish, avoiding extravagance or waste. Later, some guests were seen taking away the leftover food.
This Dong Village is now very famous because it is a branch venue of this year's Spring Festival Gala. You can't drive into the Dong Village. You can only park your car at the gate and then take the scenic area's sightseeing bus to enter, which is not very comfortable. Personally, I feel that this Dong Village gives me a very shocking feeling. The scale of the building is very large and it is quite original. Although it is gradually commercialized, there are still many original things in the village. Most of the people living here are people who have lived here for generations. The buildings in the Dong Village are basically wooden houses. It is said that a wooden building can preserve the history of living for hundreds of years. The wooden building is warm in winter and cool in summer, friendly and natural. The lower part of the drum tower is hollow, similar to a miniature square, which is a place for Dong people to relax. There is a big fire pit in the middle under the drum tower. No matter day or night, the old people like to sit around the fire pit, roasting fire, chatting about family matters, and being close to family. The batik in Zhaoxing is also very famous. In addition to buying batik products made by others, you can also make a batik work with your favorite pattern by yourself, which is quite interesting. It is still very difficult to paint wax on cloth. You need to be very careful. The Dong people are very hospitable. At dinner, the Dong girls will bring a very special way of toasting to the guests, high mountains and flowing water. It is still very interesting to experience the unique customs of ethnic minorities. The Dong village is still very beautiful after nightfall. The lights on the wooden houses are against the yellow wooden houses, and the red lanterns emit lights to dye some parts into dots of red. Compared with the night view of Fenghuang, which basically has only one yellow light, the night view of Zhaoxing Dong Village is much richer in color, even richer than the daytime. After 8 o'clock in the evening, there are basically few people walking outside in the whole Dong village, which is very quiet. Except for a few bars in the distance, there is a hint of singing. Basically, there is no other sound. Walking here seems to give you a sense of being isolated from the world in a paradise. To be honest, I like this village very much. Compared with the feeling of Phoenix Ancient Town where there are bars and shops everywhere, it is much more comfortable here. Although it has gradually begun to develop towards commercialization, it is relatively speaking still very original. Living here seems to give people a feeling of being in a paradise, making people feel very peaceful and harmonious. If I have the opportunity to come again, it is suitable to stay for a few days, slowly savor its flavor here, and slowly feel its life here.
The ticket to Zhaoxing is 100 yuan, 80 yuan for online booking, and 20 yuan for an electric car. Although it is National Day, there are not many tourists here, and there is no need to queue up to buy tickets. There is still some distance from the tourist center to the village. Most tourists take the scenic area electric car. I chose to take a leisurely hike on the roaming trail, and it took about half an hour of walking and stopping before I saw the village.
Arriving at the observation deck outside the village, you can overlook the whole picture of the Dong village. The village is located in a mountain basin and is surrounded by mountains. I was not in a hurry to enter the village. I stopped here for a long time, watching people coming and going, and went down the mountain until it got dark. Entering the village, I did not walk along the main street. I have been to many ancient towns, and I feel that I can only see the stereotyped attractions of "the world's ancient towns are one family". The inevitability of tourism development, Zhaoxing is also gradually entering commercialization, spreading to both sides of the main street, and entering the alleys of residents, where you can feel the life of local residents. I am afraid that my speed of progress is not much faster than a snail. The village is not particularly large. It was dark before I got to the top. I stayed at the observation deck for nearly two hours before. If I had friends with me at this pace, I am afraid I would not be able to bear it, haha, so most of the time I prefer to walk alone, I can freely control my time and follow my heart. Walking along the river, there are many inns. Although it is the golden period of National Day, there is no shortage of accommodation here. Many inns have rooms. The next morning, after coming out of the inn and enjoying breakfast on the main street, I still walked to the alleys in the village. The hustle and bustle of the main street formed a strong contrast with the tranquility of the alleys, as if I had traveled through time. Walking in the alleys, time slowed down, leisurely and leisurely, hawkers carrying "ground radishes" just dug from their own fields, women sitting and chatting on the wind and rain bridge, old men practicing chess in the drum tower, cats and dogs lying on the ground lazily and sleepy, and old people sitting in front of the door in a daze, walked to the farmland outside the village, many farmers were working, if you walk on the ridge, from time to time you see something swimming in the field, that is the rice fish raised by farmers. Although the development of tourism has made many young people stay, walking in the village still sees more old people, a little lonely, which is the norm in most rural areas in China, and I have a deep feeling about this in the countryside.
Zhaoxing Dong Village is a tourist attraction highly recommended by many people, but I was a little disappointed this time. It may be that there were too many people during the National Day holiday, and the scene was full of commercialization. It may also be that it was my first time to take travel photos and I had no experience. As soon as I entered the door, I changed into Dong ethnic costumes, which made it inconvenient to take things and move, affecting my fun. But anyway, I took very satisfactory travel photos here.
Zhaoxing's tourism boom should be a recent thing. The erosion of various homestays and shops on the village is basically still on both sides of the main street. Quite a number of residents still continue their original lives here. The streets are often messy, with various clothes drying outside the windows, green plants growing freely on the river bank, vendors selling vegetables on the roadside, and uncles sitting or lying on the wind and rain bridge. These seem to be no different from ordinary villages, except for those stilt houses. Zhaoxing's stilt houses are built of fir wood and coated with wood oil on the surface, forming this unique color with an ancient charm. Compared with our Jiangnan residential buildings, they have more levels (yes, otherwise why are they called buildings), and they are lined up in a staggered manner. It is this kind of high and low, unintentional staggered that makes the entire building complex more charming.
There are quite a lot of tourists in Zhaoxing Dong Village, but at least there are fewer than Xijiang Qianhu.
It is very convenient to get to Zhaoxing Dong Village from Congjiang Station (high-speed railway station). There are buses that go directly to the Dong Village. There are many buses, the journey takes about ten minutes, and the ticket price is 10 yuan.
Zhaoxing Dong Village is close to Tang'an Dong Village and Tang'an Terraces, so you can visit them together.
Starting from the end of Zhaoxing Dong Village, take a minibus to Tang'an Dong Village. The fare is 20 yuan (this price includes the round trip, and the one-way price is also the same). On the way back, it is recommended to take the terraced landscape trail from Tang'an back to Zhaoxing Dong Village. There are layers of terraced fields along the way.
Zhaoxing Dong Village is built in a basin in the mountains, surrounded by mountains on all sides. Two small streams merge into a small river that runs through the village.
In front of the village gate is a terraced field, and all you can see is green. When the wind blows, waves appear in the rice fields. Such pastoral scenery is truly something you never get tired of.
The peculiarity of this scenic spot is that it directly blocks the national highway, occupying a long and narrow area on the map, so if you want to go to Tang'an behind, you must pass through the scenic spot, which is ugly. And if you want to bypass it to go to Tang'an, the next intersection of the highway is a bit far. In terms of playability, Zhaoxing Dong Village is actually just about seeing those characteristic drum towers and buildings, and the residents are very Chinese.
Zhaoxing Dong Village was the first scenic spot we entered in Guizhou. We took the high-speed rail from Guilin North to Congjiang High-speed Railway Station. After exiting the station, we went to the bus station next to it and took a minibus to the village, which cost 10 yuan per person. The bus driver asked us to get on the bus directly and then buy the ticket. At first, I was worried that it was a black car that solicited passengers privately. I asked the ticket office before I dared to confirm it, because the Dong Village is very close to Congjiang Station, about ten minutes away. The bus is for passengers to get on and go, and the bus next to it that requires pre-purchased tickets goes to other farther places.
The minibus will stop at the ticket gate and wait for everyone to buy tickets before driving into the fixed parking spot in the village, so that we don't need to spend money to take the scenic area's battery car to enter. The entire village is a wooden structure of stilt houses, which looks a bit old. The main street of the stone road is the main place for the night market at night. There are groups of Dong-style buildings on both sides of the main street, and the stilt houses on the left along the river are the most water-friendly houses. Of course, this place has also become various inns and restaurants. There are 5 drum towers, 5 flower bridges and 5 stages in the village. It is said that each drum tower represents an ethnic group, so there are 5 ethnic groups in the village. We used to call the covered bridges on the small river as Fengyu Bridge, but here it is called Hua Bridge. Because the river is small, I didn't pay much attention to the small Hua Bridge when I walked past it. I came to my senses and saw its appearance. The Hua Bridge is simply decorated with seats on both sides. Locals like to sit on the Hua Bridge to enjoy the cool. The bridge has a ceiling with simple and plain patterns painted on it. Some of them have faded, but this does not affect the favor of people passing by the Hua Bridge. The stage in the village is not playing its role now. It is only used by locals during major festivals. However, every night under the stage, there will be Dong people wearing local costumes, singing and dancing. Some of them are little girls in their teens. After asking, I learned that they go to school during the day and come to perform at night. They do their best to attract more tourists to visit the Dong Village and make it rich. I can't help but secretly praise that Guizhou has shown its new look in recent years.
If you like a slow-paced life, Zhaoxing Dong Village will let you experience it for yourself. Along the river, you can see green leaves and keep your heart focused on nature. Don't fight or compete, don't rush or be impatient.
Take bus No. 11 from the east gate of Xiaoqikong to Libo Passenger Station, depart at 15:00 → Congjiang High-speed Railway Station, arrive at 17:30, get off the bus and there will be a minibus in the station, which will take you to Zhaoxing Dong Village for 10 yuan. The minibus will let you get off at the ticket office at the gate of the Dong Village to buy tickets, and then get on the bus. Then the scenic area staff will get on the bus to check the tickets. The minibus will drive 3.5 kilometers into the Dong Village, and you can reach the core scenic area by walking a little distance. Some people in our car were disobedient and bought tickets at the gate but didn't get on the bus. Then they either took the 20-yuan scenic area battery car or walked for the 3.5 kilometers.
As long as you walk the small paths in the Dong Village, you can see many primitive and simple ethnic minorities, but the commercial atmosphere is proportional to the number of tourists, and everything is being renovated. It is recommended to go early. The night view in the village is okay. If you can encounter a bonfire party, you can listen to the intangible protected heritage Dong ethnic group's big song, the sound of nature.
Zhaoxing Dong Village belongs to Liping County, Qiandongnan Prefecture, Guizhou Province. It is one of the largest Dong villages in the country and is relatively close to Guangdong. Therefore, I chose to drive by myself and travel during off-peak hours. When I came to Zhaoxing Dong Village, there were fewer tourists and it was quite comfortable to visit. Of course, you can also choose to take the high-speed rail to Congjiang Station, and then take a taxi to the village, and then choose to take an electric car or make an appointment with the owner of the accommodation to take a taxi, which is also very convenient. In the villages in Guizhou, local people have normal daily life and diet. Out-of-town cars cannot drive directly into the village. Either take an electric car at the entrance of the scenic area to the designated station in the scenic area, or make an appointment with the owner of the accommodation in advance to charter a car. If you are young and strong and don’t have much luggage, you can spend 10 yuan to take an electric car to experience the scenery of the village. After all, the electric car is some distance away from your accommodation. If you are with your family, it is better to charter a car. The owner of the accommodation will tell you the price of the chartered car, so don’t mess around by yourself. Zhaoxing Dong Village on rainy days has another flavor.
Zhaoxing Dong Village is the largest Dong village in the Dong area of Southeast Guizhou.
Zhaoxing Dong Village is surrounded by mountains on all sides. The village is built in a basin in the mountains. Two small streams merge into a small river that runs through the village.
The houses in the village are all wooden buildings, also known as stilt houses, but their architectural style is different from the wooden buildings in the Miao village we just visited.
The most obvious symbol of the Dong Village is the Drum Tower. When we walked into Zhaoxing Dong Village, we found that there was more than one Drum Tower. At first, we thought it was specially built for tourism development. Later, we learned that there was a reason for so many Drum Towers.
The villagers of Zhaoxing Dong Village are all surnamed Lu, but they are divided into five major clans, living in five areas. That is, the five "tuan" of "Rentuan, Yituan, Lituan, Zhituan, and Xintuan". Correspondingly, Zhaoxing Dong Village has five drum towers: Rentuan Drum Tower, Yituan Drum Tower, Lituan Drum Tower, Zhituan Drum Tower, and Xintuan Drum Tower. The number of drum towers ranges from seven to thirteen (all odd numbers).
Zhaoxing Dong Village is one of the largest Dong villages in China and is known as the "No. 1 Village in Dong Township". Zhaoxing Dong Village is the core attraction of Liping Dong Township Scenic Area. In 2005, it was selected as one of the "Six Most Beautiful Ancient Towns in China" by "National Geographic China". In 2007, it was jointly selected as one of the "33 Most Tempting Tourist Destinations in the World" by "Fashion Travel" and "National Geographic" of the United States.
Zhaoxing is not only the hometown of drum towers, but also the hometown of singing and dancing. There are Dong singing groups and Dong opera troupes in the village.
I was a little uncomfortable with the strong commercial smell, but thinking about the experience of Xijiang Qianhu Miao Village last year, I felt a little comforted. After all, there are still many aboriginals in Zhaoxing. There are old people gathering under each drum tower, especially some local old people along the river still live a secluded life. Among the overdeveloped ancient towns in my country, Zhaoxing can barely be considered a top-notch one. I found a place to live in the innermost part of the village, which is quiet in the bustling city.
The most famous place in the Dong Village is also the most commercial! Every Dong family runs an inn! Don't listen to the people who solicit guests at the door. The price is at least 20% more expensive. The Tang'an Terraces behind the Dong Village are recommended for those who have never been to the terraces. They are too small and unformed! You can watch the sunrise from the viewing platform at the entrance of the village!
Zhaoxing Dong Village is one of the largest Dong villages in China. It was once rated as one of the six most beautiful ancient towns in China by China National Geographic. It covers an area of 180,000 square meters and has more than 6,000 residents. The village is surrounded by mountains. The village is located in the basin in the middle. A small river runs through the village. The houses in the village are all stilt houses built with fir wood. There are five drum towers, five flower bridges and five opera stages in the five groups in the village. The drum tower in the Dong village is a symbol of auspiciousness and prosperity. The whole village is not big and can be visited in one or two hours. There will be free programs at fixed times every day. If you have time, you can go to the cultural museum in the Dong village to have a look. There are many local cultural displays. The fabrics of Dong ethnic costumes used to be mainly self-spun, self-woven and self-dyed Dong cloth. You can also experience dyeing cloth yourself. There is an observation deck on the mountain opposite the village gate. It takes only 15 minutes to walk up from the village gate. You can take pictures of the whole Dong village there. It is beautiful at sunrise or sunset. The Drum Tower lights up at night, and the night view is also beautiful. In fact, if you get up early in the morning, you can avoid the main road, which is basically full of shops, and enjoy it slowly along the river. There are many residents living by the river, and there are relatively few pedestrians. You must try the local beef noodles, the beef soup is very delicious, which is considered a local specialty.
Compared with Xijiang Qianhu Miao Village, it is more lifelike and the village is not that big. You can visit it in a few hours. Every inn and restaurant seems to be good. There is a welcoming performance at nine o'clock every morning, and there seems to be one in the afternoon. There is also a song and dance performance at eight o'clock in the evening. There is a cultural center that introduces various aspects of Dong ethnic group's wedding customs, etiquette, life, music, etc. It is worth a visit.
Zhaoxing Dong Village is located in the southeast of Liping County, Qiandongnan Miao and Dong Autonomous Prefecture, Guizhou Province. It covers an area of 180,000 square meters, with more than 1,000 households and more than 6,000 people. It is one of the largest Dong villages in the country and is known as the "No. 1 Village in Dong Township". Zhaoxing Dong Village is surrounded by mountains on all sides. The village is built in a basin in the mountains. Two streams merge into a small river that passes through the village. The houses in the village are stilt houses, which are lined up in an orderly manner. They are all built with fir wood, and the hard mountain top is covered with small green tiles, which are simple and practical.
It is very unique and worth a visit. The prices in the village are not as cheap as those in other scenic spots. If you have time, I recommend staying a few more days to have fun around. The free performances in the village are also worth seeing. I thought the free performances were just a few local performances, but the results were quite unexpected.
Zhaoxing Dong Village is magical and poetic. A clear stream flows slowly around the village on three sides. The village is like a beautiful peninsula, surrounded by green mountains. The hanging buildings are built against the mountains and beside the water. There is water in the mountains and mountains in the water. The mountains and water blend together, like a tranquil pastoral landscape.
Zhaoxing Dong Village has built a huge free parking lot outside the gate. Before entering the scenic area, you must park your car in the large parking lot. Travelers walk into the scenic area with their suitcases. There is a small shuttle bus inside the gate of the scenic area. The fee is 5 yuan per person for 3 kilometers from the gate ticket gate to the gate of the Dong Village. Enter the scenic area and find an inn by yourself. I only heard that the night view here is very beautiful before. When I saw it with my own eyes, it was really good. The lighting is very good. There are many tourists on the main street, and there are many shops. There is a river behind. The Dong people living by the river are not affected by the hustle and bustle of the tourist street. The five drum towers of Xinzhiliyiren have different shapes and beautiful light and shadow. The most touching thing is that the elderly are respected here. All tourists over 60 years old, regardless of whether they are from the same province or not, can get tickets and visit for free with their ID cards.
The next morning, we continued to visit Zhaoxing Dong Village, mainly to see how the local residents lived. There was no obvious boundary from the tourist street to the residential area along the river. As soon as we entered the residential area, we immediately felt quiet. The people in the village lived peacefully according to their own time and space. Some washed their hair, some dried their harvests, some rested, some dyed cloth, and several uncles and aunts beat a piece of cloth with a hammer. It turned out that there was a kind of cloth in the Dong clothing that was shiny and bright, which was beaten by hand one hammer at a time. After 10 o'clock in the morning, the literary and artistic activities in the village became active. A team of performers came to the gate of the village to perform literary and artistic programs, showing the scenes of the daily life of the Dong people. The Dong ethnic group's big songs were very beautiful. Zhaoxing Dong Village is the best-managed tourist spot in Guizhou Province. Although it has also entered commercial operation, it still maintains many regional and ethnic characteristics, allowing tourists to gain a tourist experience. Such tourism development is promising and has a future.
Zhaoxing Dong Village is large in scale, and there are some special small attractions around it. It is good for hiking. There are many flower buildings and bridges in the village. There are many local residents and a large number of tourists. There are also local Dong ethnic group big song performances that are very attractive. The air quality is excellent, and the price of food and accommodation is relatively reasonable. Friends who like mountains and rivers and outdoor activities are recommended to come here to walk and experience the minority customs. Standing on the small hill outside the entrance, these wooden buildings are quite spectacular and worth a visit.
Traditionally, people who visit ancient towns usually visit similar shops, look at similar Yiwu small commodities, and eat similar snacks. Visiting Zhaoxing Dong Village is similar. The difference is that there are still indigenous people living in the village. In addition to setting up stalls on the main street to do business, the people in the village also live their lives freely.
Zhaoxing Dong Village, located in Zhaoxing Town, Liping County, Qiandongnan Miao and Dong Autonomous Prefecture, Guizhou Province, is one of the largest Dong villages in the country and the core attraction of the Liping Dong Village Scenic Area.
Oh my god! I have been to Guizhou for many years but never been to the Dong Village. This time I mainly saw the Baili Azalea and Pingba Cherry Blossom. You must buy the return ticket in advance, otherwise you will have to wait for 7 o'clock to get a bus back to Guiyang, just like me. I wasted several hours and froze to death. There was not even a decent coffee shop, so I had to roast the fire in the drum tower and listen to the sister singing. I love the smell of fireworks. It is more convenient to go to Zhaoxing Dong Village from Guiyang. After getting off the high-speed rail, there is a minibus that takes you to the gate inside the village for 10 yuan per person. Then if you want to go to Tang'an Dong Village, there are tickets at the door or inside. It costs 20 yuan round trip and it takes about 20 minutes to get there. Zhaoxing Dong Village has a main road and you can go up to the bus station. It's just a little scary to walk along the terraced mountain road. Don't sit by the window. Dong Village has much fewer people than Miao Village. There are more aboriginal people in the whole Dong Village. Unlike Miao Village, they rent out their neighbors' houses and go to Kaili to buy houses. They usually sing and plant crops and roast fire. You can also see them washing clothes and beating cloth. The Tang'an above is more primitive. There were basically no tourists when I went there. The old lady insisted on giving me Fanta to drink. It is recommended to go to Tang'an first, because the buildings at the entrance of the village will soon block the terraced fields. There are not many public toilets but they are relatively clean. There are many restaurants. It depends on personal taste. Remember that the performance time of Dong Village's big song in the morning is divided into winter and summer. When I went there, I didn't check the different winter and summer times and missed it.
I was very impressed with the food, the fragrant pork was really delicious!!! The scenery was also good, and the original architecture was preserved.
A great place to relax, it's worth visiting
The drum tower of the Dong village is full of local characteristics. By the way, you can go up the mountain to see the Tang'an terraced fields.
Good place, good place, good place. Good things should be said three times, haha
The car can only be parked in the parking lot outside the village. After buying a ticket, you need to take a shuttle bus to enter. Walk in four kilometers and the scenery along the way is nice
It’s a popular check-in spot. If you have time, come and take a look. I think it’s worth a visit.
As a gathering place for simple and kind ethnic minorities, the current commercial atmosphere is too strong, and the charges are unreasonable. The battery car charges 10 yuan for a one-kilometer journey and the ticket costs 80 yuan. It is indeed a bit cost-effective. What I saw were some similar Dong villages. There are not many memorable scenes.
Take you to visit the mysterious Dong village and let the children experience local customs.
I took my family to Dong Village for two days on the weekend. The people in the village were simple and easy. The lobby and room of Lancaoxin Inn, which was located by the stream, were very clean and comfortable. The decoration was elegant and the thoughtful service deserves ten thumbs up. The whole family was very satisfied and would go there again when they have time.
The only place where you can take photos is at the gate, which should be man-made. The entire village inside is a commercial street.
After more than 20 years, I still don't know where to go in Zhaoxing. Zhaoxing is very beautiful now, and the happiness index of the people in the village has risen. It seems that commercialization is worth it.
The main street was very busy during the National Day holiday, but the back streets were quiet and less crowded. The evening performances were also good. You must arrive early to get a good seat.
It is quite normal for ancient towns and villages in China to be commercialized nowadays, but the consumption in this village is not high and can be said to be relatively affordable.
Zhaoxing Dong Village: The simplicity hidden deep in the mountains, the beautiful mountains, the beautiful Dong Village, and the more beautiful people🌹
When I watched Buzz Buzz, I remembered that I had been there, but my memory was very vague.
Remember the Drum Tower, remember the lights at night❤️A place that makes people relax, except for the crowds and my dirty little white shoes😭😭😭😭😭
The village is not big. There is a main street from the entrance. There are accommodations and meals are not expensive. The composition of the village can be simply summarized as three rows of houses, with the main street and a river in the middle. It is very simple. The main street is also the county road.
It's OK when the tickets are discounted. There's not much to see inside, but the free public transportation in the village is a good thing.
Compared with the complete commercialization of Xijiang, Zhaoxing Dong Village is really ignored.
After a day's walking on the mountain road, we finally arrived at a small basin surrounded by green mountains, the largest primitive Dong village community in Southeast Guizhou. This place is under reconstruction, and perhaps in a few years it will become a commercial ancient town like Lijiang, and the primitive atmosphere will no longer exist.
The Dong people are different from the Miao people. What you see here is more laziness and leisure. Dong elders stop working after they turn 50. They either chat on the Fengyu Bridge or take a nap on the Bell and Drum Tower.
Zhaoxing Dong Village is a highlight of our visit. It is located in Liping County, Qiandongnan Miao and Dong Autonomous Prefecture. It is one of the "six most beautiful rural ancient towns in China" and one of the largest Dong villages in the Qiandongnan Dong area. It is known as "the first Dong village in Liping" and "the first village in Dong Township". In 2007, it was jointly selected by "Fashion Travel" and "National Geographic" as one of the "33 most attractive tourist destinations in the world".
Zhaoxing Dong Village has many drum towers, and is known as the "hometown of drum towers". I visited five drum towers, namely Xintuan Drum Tower, Zhituan Drum Tower, Yituan Drum Tower, Lituan Drum Tower, and Rentuan Drum Tower.
Zhaoxing Dong Village has a main street, which is very wide, and a "water street" - this is the name I gave it, which is built along the water and is very narrow. The main street and the "water street" are connected by alleys, and our walking route is constantly interweaving between the main street and the "water street", moving forward in circles.
My favorite place is the "Water Street", where a clear stream flows down, two old stone paths are close to the river, both sides are lined with old houses, and there is a stone bridge not far away. The key is that there are not many tourists, but more locals, who are doing their own things, washing clothes, chatting, weaving, etc., full of style and life.
The branch venue of the 2018 Spring Festival Gala has become very famous. Go there quickly before it becomes fully commercialized. It will probably be as fully commercialized as Xijiang Miao Village in a short time.
The night view of Tongzhai in Zhaoxing is great, the lighting effects are wonderful and moving, the welcoming performance and dance at the gate in the morning are worth attending, and accommodation is convenient!
In the morning, we entered the aboriginal residential area of the Dong village for a tour. In fact, most of the houses along the streets and rivers were rented out to outsiders and turned into inns or shops. The tourist products sold there were basically the same across the country.
There was no one checking tickets inside Zhaoxing Dong Village. In fact, I really liked the roofs of the village and the endless terraced fields that I took photos of. The more I took, the more excited I became. It was pretty nice to see them when I got home. It even felt like I was in Bali.
As soon as we arrived at the gate, the security guard came to the car to check. After that, there were more than a dozen people in the car, so only two of us were allowed to buy tickets, and the others didn't need to buy tickets. Just because we were dressed like tourists, the uncles and aunts behind us were also tourists and were carrying travel bags. They didn't check and didn't let us buy tickets. People in Qiandongnan had to buy tickets, but outsiders didn't need to buy tickets. I don't know what this attitude is. I was very unhappy. The hygiene inside was also very poor. The ticket price was so high, but there was nothing to see inside, not even a performance. Almost all of them were inns. It was not fun to play. It's better to charge all or nothing than to charge such arbitrary charges. I feel really uncomfortable. I don't recommend traveling! Not even half as good as Zhenyuan Ancient City. I don't recommend outsiders to travel. Bad review! ! ! !
From Liping Bus Station to the village, the security guard at the door directly gets on the bus to check the ID card! Then he asks you to buy a ticket, and he doesn't check the tickets for several people who come to travel at the same time! He doesn't let you buy a ticket. First, the charges are not unified and standard, too arbitrary, and second, the tickets are expensive. The scenic spot that can be walked in an hour costs 80 yuan. When the Spring Festival Gala was held, people from Southeast Guizhou came for free! Now the ticket price is too expensive and the cost performance is extremely low. Since it is the off-season, there are no special features and no performances! The environment of the scenic spot is poor! ...
I strolled around Zhaoxing in the rain and felt that it was not as commercialized as Xijiang. The village was quaint and quiet. Under the drum tower, it was still a gathering place for local people. You could spend an afternoon leisurely by lighting a fire, embroidering, chatting, and dozing off.
The correct way to play Zhaoxing Dong Village:
1. Arrive at Zhaoxing Dong Village before 4pm, check in to the hotel, rest, and then have dinner. It is best to go to the performance venue before 7pm to reserve a seat, as there are many people watching the evening performance. If you are short of time, it doesn't matter, just rush to the front railing and stand there to watch. The performance is only one hour long, but it is clear at the front, and it is ok to take photos and videos. The evening show starts at 20:00 and ends around 21:00. After the show, you can wander around the village at will and take a look at the night view of Zhaoxing Dong Village, which is still very good. Then arrange your rest reasonably according to your own schedule.
2. At 9:00 am the next day, there will be a welcoming performance at the village gate, which will last about 15 minutes, but the performance usually does not start on time. It will be a little late, but there are many people, and it should be more punctual during the peak season. After the welcoming performance, everyone can move to the performance venue. There is another performance at 10:00 am. Unlike Xijiang Qianhu Miao Village, the performances here are free to watch. You can watch as many shows as you want. No one collects tickets and checks them. It is open. However, the performances at night are much more exciting than those during the day. If you watch two shows, you will find a lot of fun in them, so if you have nothing to do, you can choose to watch two shows. You don’t need to take up seats for the daytime performances (unknown during the peak season) because there are almost no people watching.
The village is not very big, and it is relatively quiet when it is not the peak season. The overall playing time is 1.5-2 days. If you want to choose to hike, you can reserve one more day, that is, 3 days. Zhaoxing Dong Village is a very pleasant place and worth stopping.
Overall, Zhaoxing Dong Village is more comfortable than Xijiang Qianhu Village. It gives people a cozy feeling. Maybe there are really not many people here in the off-season.
Reference time: 1 day. I came to Zhaoxing because of the panoramic view of the village gate. I think this is the paradise in my heart. Although it appeared on the Spring Festival Gala in 2018, it is still less popular than Xijiang. Zhaoxing is not big. The performance in the evening is mainly to listen to the Dong ethnic group's big song.
There weren't many people in the village, so it was very comfortable to walk around. It was a chicken paradise, and no one was chasing the chickens away.
The original colors of some buildings must have been very beautiful; I didn’t see anyone having a long table banquet in the village.
After walking around, I climbed up to the viewing platform and waited for the lights to turn on. The viewing platform is on the hill opposite the village gate, and there are signs at the battery car boarding area. After watching the lights turn on, I took some photos and had dinner before going to the performance venue. It was full of people. I guess it was the most crowded time of the day. I didn't see any performances at all.
When we arrived at the scenic entrance of Zhaoxing Dong Village, we found that the architectural style was different from that of Qianhu Miao Village. We parked the car in the tourist parking lot. There is no parking fee here for the time being, and there are enough parking spaces. Zhaoxing Dong Village is one of the four venues for the 2018 CCTV Spring Festival Gala. The ticket here is the same as that of Qianhu Miao Village, and the original price is 100 yuan per ticket. Now Guizhou has a summer vacation preferential policy for 10 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities, and only 50 yuan per ticket. After entering the scenic area, you have to buy a sightseeing bus ticket, which is 20 yuan per person for round trip. There is a sightseeing bus about every 10 minutes, and there are different stations to stop. There are many inns in the scenic area, and the better ones must be booked in advance to avoid full rooms. We followed the singing all the way and saw the iconic building of Dong Village-Drum Tower, which is not available in Miao Village.
There are ethnic song and dance performances every night in the village. The venue is open-air and the actors are reused, but the atmosphere is still quite strong. Those who are interested in Dong culture can go and have a look. Be sure to go in advance to reserve a seat...
Zhaoxing Dong Song
Thanks to the high-speed rail, there is a station called Congjiang here, and the frequent trains bring a large number of tourists.
Zhaoxing Dong Village has five groups of benevolence, righteousness, courtesy, wisdom and trustworthiness, five drum towers, five opera stages, five flower bridges, and one from Shanghai. All 6,000 residents in the Dong Village are surnamed Lu. All 1,000 houses in the Dong Village are made of wood. The creaking floors and the clanging silver ornaments play out the Dong customs that are different from the Miao Village.
The summer evening party was packed with tourists from all over the place, but the a cappella chorus pierced the entire venue. The song was on the road, and the brother was on the road. The Dong people had no written language, but they left behind the ultimate of Confucianism with their songs.
Act appropriately and be kind, righteous, polite, wise and trustworthy.
The ticket office of Zhaoxing Dong Village has very local characteristics.
The ticket price is 100 yuan per person, including performance appreciation, and we enjoy a half-price discount.
Since I will stay in the Dong Village for 3 days, I need to leave the scenic area halfway. Do I need to buy a ticket again? It turns out that this ticket is valid for 3 days. Every time I go out, I need to show the ticket to enter the village again.
The people of Hangzhou are blessed, and it will be free until the end of 2021. Later I learned that Hangzhou helped Congjiang to alleviate poverty, and the people of Congjiang knew how to be grateful.
The ticket price for Zhaoxing Dong Village is 100 yuan per person, and you can buy tickets at the window, by yourself, or online. There are also colorful theme activities every day during the National Day. After entering the gate, you can choose to walk or take a sightseeing bus to the entrance of the Dong Village. The sightseeing bus costs 10 yuan per person and is about 3 kilometers (there are also locals who take the bus for 5 yuan per person to attract business).
The scenery is actually more beautiful in the alleys away from the main thoroughfares, and you can see many locals dyeing cloth.
I was quite excited when I arrived at the entrance, thinking that it was an authentic minority settlement and should be very interesting. After entering, I was disappointed. The Dong Village is indeed very large and there are many residents, but the important streets have been too commercialized and have lost their original charm. Although you can still find some remarkable beauty in the "residential area" after leaving the main road, the entire place for tourists to visit has been almost "swallowed up" by commerce. I personally do not recommend this attraction.
Compared with Qianhu Miao Village, this village seems to have more indigenous residents and a relatively low degree of commercialization. Arrive at around 16:00 in the afternoon. After completing the transfer and check-in procedures, you can easily stroll around the village. The key is to catch the "blue hour" in the evening. Friends who love photography know that the blue light and shadow accompanied by the dim lights in the twilight are very beautiful. The Dong Village scenic area is not large, and 2 hours is enough to complete the whole walk. However, because of this, you can slow down and seriously integrate into the life of the local indigenous residents to experience it. Friendly reminder: The Dong Village is full of gravel roads. Facing the breeze and walking through the small bridges and flowing water, the night in the Dong Village is very quiet. In addition to the gurgling river, there are also some insects chirping in your ears.
The Dong village in the night is an ancient ink painting scroll that is like a dream. The exquisite lines drawn by nature, whether rough or delicate, reveal the ancient vicissitudes of life. These natural simplicity, distant and long. The Dong village in the night has no high-rise neon lights in the city, nor the gorgeous colors of the city, but there you can see thousands of lights stacked up, and the night scene around the village is like the stars in the dome. As the night deepens, people disperse, the village is quiet, and the alleys echo with their footsteps. There are many dogs in the Dong village, most of which are Chinese pastoral dogs, which are very friendly to people. However, it is recommended not to feed these dogs, because soon you will find that it will follow you all the time, and there will be more and more dogs. The morning mist dresses up the village between the mountains and rivers, waiting for people to untie its veil. A small river passes through the village, dividing the Dong village into two. The two sides are built according to the situation, with mountains and peaks. There is a scenery as soon as you turn around, which is the charm of Dong Village. Glutinous rice is an indispensable food for Dong Village people. Many local special snacks have glutinous rice. In order to preserve the original soil atmosphere, Dong Village installs as few commercial signs as possible to avoid destroying the overall sense of the house. Tourists are not allowed to drive in the scenic area. Only local villagers' cars can enter and exit. The parking space is quite tight, and the parking fee is 30 per day. The moment I entered the village, I saw the stilt houses built on the mountainside, and I fell in love with the completely different visual effects here. I feel that the people here are very simple and friendly. The combination of primitive and commercial atmosphere is just right. Living in Qianhu Miao Village is more interesting than I thought. Walking beside the quaint Miao Village stilt houses, watching the Miao Village Wind and Rain Bridge and Miao Village Songs and Dances, and feeling the unique charm of the living fossils of Miao residents' buildings up close, I have seen the world's largest Miao Village, which is worth the trip.
Walking along the street, there are shops on both sides. Walking along the river, there are houses on both sides, which is more interesting.
Every street is filled with small bridges, flowing water and houses. It instantly feels like a Jiangnan water village.
Unlike Qianhu Miao Village, Zhaoxing Dong Village was developed later, and the commercial atmosphere is not so strong. It is more original. There are several free performances in the Dong Village every day, and the public parking lot outside is free. Tickets are only 70 yuan (normally 80 yuan) when purchased through the website, and the guide bus is 10 yuan per person. As soon as we parked the car in the parking lot, a local resident who opened an inn in the Dong Village was willing to take us in directly for 70 yuan for two people because there were no guests in the off-season. In fact, because my dad was exempt from the ticket, we only saved 10 yuan, but the experience of buying tickets and taking the bus in Qianhu Miao Village was too unpleasant. Although I felt a little sorry for the development of Dong Village tourism, I still followed it directly and decided to spend a lot in it to make up for the mistake.
This is also the reason why Zhaoxing Dong Village may not be as good as Qianhu Miao Village. The management of Miao Village is stricter. Although there are inns that pick up and drop off guests and take other tourists in and out to earn 10 or 20 yuan in fares, there will be no locals who directly take tourists into the scenic area for free. (It is also possible that we don’t know that the Miao Village has its own parking lot for local Miao residents.) Moreover, the free ticket business of Dong Village has been available at the railway station passenger station, which is indeed much more convenient than the scenic area guide bus.
