After chatting, the older sister said that she also came out alone, and this was her third time climbing to the top of Shiping Mountain.

Zhenyuan Ancient Town is also a famous town in Southeast Guizhou, located in Zhenyuan County on the banks of the Wuyang River.

Zhenyuan is an ancient Miao town with a long history of more than 2,000 years. The ancient town is located on the main road into Guizhou, with the Wuyang River running through the town in an "S" shape and surrounded by mountains.

Zhenyuan is rich in historical sites and natural resources, and many ancient buildings are well preserved.

From Shiping Mountain, you can see the panoramic view of the ancient town.

The entrance to Shiping Mountain is on the side of Zhusheng Bridge, but you can also walk up the mountain directly through the ancient alley for free (the road is steeper), and you can overlook the scenery of Zhenyuan when you climb up the mountain.

From the top of Shiping Mountain, you can see the whole view of Zhenyuan Ancient Town, the narrow and deep ancient alleys, and the Bagua shape of Zhenyuan Ancient City. There are two east-west roads connecting Shiping Mountain. One is to climb up Yuping Mountain from the mountain trail at Zhusheng Bridge, which is free to enter before 8 am and after 5 or 6 pm; the other is to go through the "Sifangjing Alley" or "Fuxing Alley" in the pedestrian street of the ancient city to the mountain road, which is the way for local people to go up the mountain.

Climb to the top of the mountain to see the panoramic view of the town and the ruins of the city wall. Looking down from the top of the mountain, the Wuyang River runs through the city, forming a Bagua pattern. It is truly worthy of being called the Tai Chi Town.

We walked to the foot of Shiping Mountain and bought tickets to go up the mountain. Without saying much, we followed the steep mountain road and came to the viewing pavilion. The scenery was particularly good. To the northeast was the upper reaches of Wuyang River. The train shuttled along the river bank along the tunnel and turned an S-curve to the southwest. Qinglong Cave, Zhusheng Bridge, Xinda Bridge, and the entire Zhenyuan Ancient Town were in full view. We stayed for a long time and were reluctant to leave. We went to the mountain road to the south of Shiping Mountain and admired the scenery of the ancient town from different angles. When we arrived at the Sifang Temple, we lay on the long bench beside the pavilion, singing while praising the music, "I will boast in Christ & A grain of wheat" gave us a lot of touching and response. If you want to see the whole picture of Zhenyuan or climb the city wall, you can climb Shiping Mountain. It takes about 1 hour to go back and forth, and the ticket price is 30 yuan. Unfortunately, the photos taken at the highest point were just average, which was a little disappointing! It took about three hours to climb the entire Shiping Mountain. If you didn't go to the ancient city wall, it would take less than two hours!

Because I didn't think Shiping Mountain was a particularly tiring mountain to climb, I had less time to spare. As it turned out, the stairs were quite steep, and the whole climb took about 30-40 minutes. After reaching the top of the mountain, I was sweating profusely. I underestimated Shiping Mountain.

If you continue going forward from the ancient alley, you can reach the scenic spot of Shiping Mountain. Come up after five o'clock, hehe, you know.

Zhenyuan Ancient City is located on the north bank of Wuyang River, facing the Yuping Mountain. Standing on the top of the mountain, you can overlook the whole ancient city.

After get off work at 17:30, no one is guarding the mountain. You think you can arrange it if no one is guarding it, but they have closed all the doors leading to the mountain. If you want to go up the mountain to see the panoramic view, you need to go up the mountain from the alley next to the main street.

In fact, the observation deck can be regarded as a point. There are many roads spreading downwards. The main entrance above is just one of the roads, and the alley is also one of them.

At 17:30 we found a lane called Renshou Lane (all those small alleys lead up the mountain), and kept walking to the left. There were elementary school students on the road who were going home from school. They were very enthusiastic. As long as you asked how to get to the observation deck, they would tell you and take you there.

When you come to a big fork in the road and see a map, go back and take the path on the right. There will be no dogs there, so you can walk without worry.

We reached the top of the mountain at 18:30. After seeing the scenery below, it was worth the effort to climb up.

Friends who want to take pictures of the night view on the mountain can stay a little longer. At that time, a train will pass by on the opposite side, and the effect will be simply amazing. But pay attention to safety and be sure to bring a flashlight, because there are no lights on the mountain.

When you go back, you can only go back the same way, you must go back the same way!!

Don't think you can go down through the main gate, as the staff there have closed the gate. We went the wrong way and when we were going down the mountain the lights in the ancient town happened to be turned on, and we got to see the night view by accident.

It was magical when we came down. We were clearly returning along the same route, but the alley we came out of was not the alley we took when we went up the mountain, but Fuxing Alley.

We chose to climb Shiping Mountain in the morning, walking from the "Sifangjing Lane" in the ancient city pedestrian street to the mountain road, overlooking the ancient town of Zhenyuan, which is a relatively relaxing exercise. In the evening, the street lights on the mountain road are a little sparse, and it is still a little inconvenient for the elderly and children to climb the mountain.

But the little girl was tired and didn't want to climb the mountain, so someone had to accompany her, so I climbed Shiping Mountain by myself. Shiping Mountain is at the head of Zhusheng Bridge. There is no one guarding it after 6 o'clock in the evening. Many people rush to climb Shiping Mountain at this time. It took me nearly half an hour to finally climb to the top of the mountain. There is a sightseeing pavilion on the top of the mountain, as well as a section of the Miaojiang Great Wall, with a small section of the wall and a battlement remaining. You can see most of Zhenyuan on this battlement. When I went up, it was late. There were already quite a few people on the sightseeing pavilion and the battlement. It can be seen that most of them are couples, snuggling up on it, chatting and watching the night view of the ancient town below the mountain. Standing on a high mountain to look at Zhenyuan, although you can't see the entire "Tai Chi Diagram" ancient town. But in the dark night, blowing the cool breeze, overlooking the lights in the ancient town below the mountain, listening to the songs coming from the bar on the Wuyang River. Suddenly I had a feeling of being in the world and out of the world.

Shiping Mountain faces south and stretches out like a painting, like a mother opening her arms to embrace the ancient city at her feet.

From the beginning of the climb to the top, there was almost no one. There were road signs at the beginning, but there were no signs later. There were also some forks in the road. In order to avoid going in the wrong direction, I kept climbing up along the railings. I thought that the road with railings would not be wrong. Those forks might be faster shortcuts, and the main road was just more roads at best. On the way up the mountain, I only met 4 people from beginning to end. One was an old man who was also traveling alone. He went up the mountain from the plank road at the end of Zhusheng Bridge and went down the mountain from Chongzi Lane, which was exactly the opposite of my journey. When I climbed to the city wall of the prefecture, I met another couple coming down the mountain. I asked them how far they were from the top of the mountain. They told me that they were almost there, and there were at most 5 minutes left and they cheered me on. When I climbed to the top of the mountain, I saw the fourth person, who was the old man who was waiting for the city wall and selling mineral water.

When we reached the top of Shiping Mountain, it was not yet dark. We stood at the end of the city wall and overlooked the entire Zhenyuan Ancient City, with a Tai Chi Bagua diagram of nine mountains surrounding a river, and the river dividing the city into two.

Just as the old man said, the darker the sky, the more people there are on the mountain, and the lights at the foot of Shiping Mountain once again outline the large S-shaped figure of the Wuyang River.

There is no entrance fee to climb Shiping Mountain before 7 o'clock. I came to the ticket gate of Shiping Mountain and started to climb the mountain. Shiping Mountain is located in the east of the entire ancient town. The view from the top of the mountain is wide, the night view is beautiful, and the lights are winding like a giant dragon. But at the same time, it is a pity that there is too much commercialization here. The whole ancient town is noisy at night. Even standing on the top of the mountain, you can hear the heavy metal music and high-pitched singing in the bar.

No tickets are required after 17:30 in the evening. It takes about 40 minutes to climb up with children. It is just right to see the night view when you reach the observation deck on the mountain. The lights are not turned on until 20:00. So calculate the time to go up. Otherwise, you will have to wait for a long time. The night view is really good. And since you are here to see the night view, you will definitely gain a lot from seeing the panoramic view at the highest point.

Shiping Mountain is located on the bank of Wuyang River. There is no entrance fee after 5:30, so we decided to climb Shiping Mountain in the evening. Halfway up the mountain, we met a fellow villager and encouraged her to climb the mountain with us. It took us an hour to reach the top of the mountain and overlook the whole view of Wuyang River.

The viewing pavilion of Shiping Mountain is not the highest point. The highest point is about 50 meters above sea level from the viewing pavilion. On the top of the mountain is the ancient city wall of Zhenyuan.

Due to the obstruction of branches and leaves on the mountain, the highest point is not the best place for viewing the view. The best location is still the viewing pavilion.



It was just 7 o'clock when we got back to the viewing pavilion, and it was not yet dark. From here we could see Zhenyuan's unique Shanghai-Kunming Railway, which runs through the town.



While waiting for the night view, many tourists gathered in the pavilion, chatting casually, exchanging and complaining about the places they had visited. Among them was an old man from Nanjing, who looked to be about 70 years old, who climbed up the mountain alone to enjoy the view. The old man was brought out by his son to play. He said that twice a year, each time for about a month, his son would take him and his wife on a self-driving tour. The old man finally took out a card camera and took pictures of the beautiful scenery seriously. Looking at such a happy and cute old man, my heart was already filled with ripples.

You can see the Wuyang River "S" shape through the ancient town, and there is a city wall on the mountain (ancient city wall, part of which is now under repair). Locals said that climbing the mountain is free, and the scenic area notice says that the staff work hours are 7:00 and 18:00, but I don't know which one is correct, as it was just after 6:00 when I went there.

The entrance to Shiping Mountain is right next to Zhusheng Bridge. There is no charge before 7 a.m. and after 6 p.m. You can see the night view of the entire Zhenyuan from the top of Shiping Mountain.

It is said that if you climb Shiping Mountain at night, you can see the night view of the entire Zhenyuan Ancient Town, which is particularly beautiful. The driver who took us told us that it would take two hours to climb to the top of the mountain, and that there might be snakes, which scared us so much that we gave up. However, it only took us half an hour to climb the mountain during the day. We were fooled by the driver. However, it was also nice to see the panoramic view of Zhenyuan from the top of the mountain. We just couldn't see the entire Bagua-shaped ancient town because there were too many obstructions from the trees. Our clothes were already soaked when we climbed to the top of the mountain, but we felt a great sense of accomplishment.

Shiping Mountain stops selling tickets after 5:00. There is a sign at the entrance: If you go up the mountain after 5:00, you will be responsible for any accidents.

All the alleys lead to the top of the mountain. You can get lost at any time. Sometimes I walked to someone's house on the mountain. Sometimes I came to an abandoned gymnasium. There was a child playing on the high platform. He suddenly ran down when he saw me walking by. He was sweating and asked in a baby voice: "Sister, are you going to the mountain?" I know the way. From time to time, a train would roar through the mountain opposite. The mountain was completely dark and all I could see was the lights coming through the train windows.

Be sure to visit Zhenyuan Ancient Town when you go there. Although the scenery is not very beautiful, it is still worth a visit.

In addition to being able to climb up to overlook the whole ancient town, Shiping Mountain also has a famous section of the ancient Great Wall "Fuchenghuan" built in the Song Dynasty. The mountain road is made of stone steps, which spiral up in a zigzag shape. Although it is only more than 200 meters high, the slope is very steep. If you are not very physically fit, it will take more than half an hour to climb to the top of the mountain. Standing in the pavilion on the top of the mountain and looking around, you will feel like you can see all the mountains. The emerald-colored Wuyang River is like a ribbon, running through the two mountains in an "S" shape. The entire ancient town is centered on this jade river and is arranged on both sides of the mountain. Therefore, Zhenyuan has another nickname called "Tai Chi City".

The ticket is 30 yuan, but there is a road near the new bridge that can also go up the mountain. No one charges this entrance. The location is not easy to describe and it is difficult to find. You can ask the locals. It is said that no one charges after 6 o'clock at the paid entrance. The scenery on the top of the mountain is unique. There are ancient Great Wall buildings on the top of Shiping Mountain. You can walk. It is very steep but very interesting. Due to time constraints, we only walked a section. I asked the aunt selling water on the top and she said it would take 3 kilometers to finish the walk. If we came in the morning, we might consider finishing the walk.

While the scenic area staff was off work, we started our mountain climbing trip. We saw the sunset, the panoramic view of Zhenyuan, and touched the ancient city wall. Zhenyuan was so far away, so far, and so close.

It was only 7:15 when we climbed up, and the lights of the ancient town were not on yet. I felt the beautiful scenery under my feet and the breeze blowing, which was quite satisfying.

When you come to Zhenyuan, you must climb Shiping Mountain to overlook the panoramic view of Zhenyuan. When you climb up, you can choose to walk up the mountain from the small path on the street in the ancient town. Because you need to pay 30 yuan per person to climb the mountain from Zhusheng Bridge, you can save 30 yuan if you don't climb the mountain from there. As for how long it takes to climb to the top, it took me 40 minutes to climb. If you climb fast, it will take about 20-30 minutes.

The small viewing platform on the top of the mountain was already full of tourists, and we had to wait for a long time before we could get a place to stand.
