Zhenyuan Ancient City - Shiping Mountain Scenic Area

Shiping Mountain is the barrier to the north of Zhenyuan Ancient City. It is across the river from Qinglong Cave and is also the commanding height of the ancient city. From the top of Shiping Mountain, you can see the panoramic view of Zhenyuan Ancient Town, the narrow and deep ancient alleys, and the Bagua shape of Zhenyuan Ancient City. The gentle and winding Wuyang River passes through the city, the Miaojiang Great Wall is entrenched on the mountain, and the Qinglong Cave building complex has different architectural styles. There are two east-west mountain roads connecting Shiping Mountain. One is to climb Yuping Mountain from the mountain trail at Zhusheng Bridge. It is free to enter before 8 am and after 5 or 6 pm; the other is to walk from the "Sifangjing Alley" or "Fuxing Alley" in the pedestrian street of the ancient city to the mountain road. This is the way for locals to go up the mountain, and of course it is also a shortcut to evade tickets.

You don’t need a ticket to climb Shiping Mountain Scenic Area before 7am or after 6pm. I asked the innkeeper and he said that you don’t need a ticket to climb from Sifangjing Lane. I found a different flavor from the ancient city in the mountains. I was so excited when I found a pomelo tree. It turns out that pomelo grows like this…

Standing on the Shiping Mountain Observation Deck and looking quietly, the Wuyang River has made the ancient city very peaceful and comfortable… The mountain was very deserted, with only an older sister and me. After chatting, the older sister said that she also came out alone, and this was her third time climbing to the top of Shiping Mountain.

Zhenyuan Ancient Town is also a famous town in Southeast Guizhou, located in Zhenyuan County on the banks of the Wuyang River.

Zhenyuan is an ancient Miao town with a long history of more than 2,000 years. The ancient town is located on the main road into Guizhou, with the Wuyang River running through the town in an "S" shape and surrounded by mountains.

Zhenyuan is rich in historical sites and natural resources, and many ancient buildings are well preserved.

From Shiping Mountain, you can see the panoramic view of the ancient town.

By Mud Sauce |

The entrance to Shiping Mountain is on the side of Zhusheng Bridge, but you can also walk up the mountain directly through the ancient alley for free (the road is steeper), and you can overlook the scenery of Zhenyuan when you climb up the mountain.

Climbing up Shiping Mountain, you can overlook the entire Zhenyuan Ancient Town.

By Sunshine after rain |

The North Mountain of Shiping Mountain facing the city is like a large screen standing in the mountain.

The mountain is not high, and it takes about half an hour to reach the top! Although I "escaped" the ticket early, it was foggy in the morning and I couldn't take the big pictures like those on the Internet.

Shiping Mountain is not high, and the whole route is stairs, which is suitable for walking up the mountain slowly. The higher you go, the wider your view becomes. You can see the town, the school, the mountains and rivers in the distance, and the train will rumble past in ten minutes. It was cloudy during the two days I came, so I couldn't see far, and I didn't see the sunrise or sunset. I could only quietly appreciate this most natural scenery.

The ticket is 30 yuan. There are the ruins of the Miao Great Wall and you can overlook the ancient town of Zhenyuan. There are many exits and you can walk out of the village on the mountain.

In order to take photos of the night view at Shiping Mountain, I set out early. As a result, the entrance was locked. I had no choice but to turn around and go a long way from the Four Officials Hall to get there. I didn't see the scenery of Zhenyuan in the twilight, but seeing such a night view was worth the long climb. Looking at the Zhusheng Bridge at night on the mountain, the lighted pavilion on it is like a guiding light telling visitors from all directions, here, right here.

Climb to the top of the mountain to see the panoramic view of the town and the ruins of the city wall. Looking down from the top of the mountain, the Wuyang River runs through the city, forming a Bagua pattern. It is truly worthy of being called the Tai Chi Town.

We walked to the foot of Shiping Mountain and bought tickets to go up the mountain. Without saying much, we followed the steep mountain road and came to the viewing pavilion. The scenery was particularly good. To the northeast was the upper reaches of Wuyang River. The train shuttled along the river bank along the tunnel and turned an S-curve to the southwest. Qinglong Cave, Zhusheng Bridge, Xinda Bridge, and the entire Zhenyuan Ancient Town were in full view. We stayed for a long time and were reluctant to leave. We went to the mountain road to the south of Shiping Mountain and admired the scenery of the ancient town from different angles. When we arrived at the Sifang Temple, we lay on the long bench beside the pavilion, singing while praising the music, "I will boast in Christ & A grain of wheat" gave us a lot of touching and response. Thank God!

If you want to see more beautiful scenery, you have to walk more, so mountain climbing should be considered as one of them, haha~~~The weather is good, so the scenery is beautiful.

By Three six degrees |

If you want to see the whole picture of Zhenyuan or climb the city wall, you can climb Shiping Mountain. It takes about 1 hour to go back and forth, and the ticket price is 30 yuan. If your physical strength and time are limited, you can climb to the middle of the mountain. I personally think that is the best place to take pictures of the whole picture of Zhenyuan.

By Sulfur N-oxide |

The ticket to Shiping Mountain is 30 yuan per person, but it is free to go up from Sifangjing Lane!

By The sky is the limit |

After dinner, after 7pm, I climbed up Shiping Mountain. There was no entrance fee at this time, but there were no lights on the mountain at night, so I suggested bringing a flashlight. The mountain is not high, and it takes about ten or twenty minutes to climb to the top. Shiping Mountain is across the river from Qinglong Cave, and it is also the commanding height of the ancient city. Climbing to the top of Shiping Mountain, you can see the panoramic view of Zhenyuan Ancient City, and the narrow and deep ancient alleys are in full view. The soft and winding Wuyang River passes through the city, and the architectural style of Qinglong Cave is very different. There are two ways to go up Shiping Mountain. One is to climb Shiping Mountain from the hiking trail at Zhusheng Bridge. There is no entrance fee before 7am and after 7pm; the other is to go through the "Sifangjing Alley" or "Fuxing Alley" in the ancient city to the mountain road. This is the way for locals to go up the mountain, and of course it is also a shortcut to skip tickets.

Since Shiping Mountain is not very high, sunrise is not common and is mostly seen in the form of clouds and fog, but it can still make people feel relaxed and happy.

By Ordinary life |

The ancient city is close to Shiping Mountain on one side and Wuyang River on the other. Shiping Mountain is really like a big screen. The ticket to the scenic area is 30 yuan. You can climb the mountain from the alleys such as Sifangjing Alley and Fuxing Alley (in fact, there is a ticket office halfway up the mountain, but there was no one there when I arrived at around 6 pm). Shiping Mountain is not high, with the main peak at an altitude of 668.1 meters, but there are several steep steps. It takes half an hour to reach the viewing platform, and the hard work is worth it. Looking down from a high place, the ancient city houses on both sides of the Wushui River are made of blue bricks and black tiles, with flying eaves and corners. The Wushui River is like a green jade belt, which just turns an "S" shape at the foot of Shiping Mountain and winds through the ancient city.

Shiping Mountain is not very big, and I almost died of heat when climbing the mountain in the middle of the day! But I still wanted to see the highest point, so I kept climbing. Unfortunately, the photos taken at the highest point were just average, which was a little disappointing! It took about three hours to climb the entire Shiping Mountain. If you didn't go to the ancient city wall, it would take less than two hours!

By silly lissy |

Because I didn't think Shiping Mountain was a particularly tiring mountain to climb, I had less time to spare. As it turned out, the stairs were quite steep, and the whole climb took about 30-40 minutes. After reaching the top of the mountain, I was sweating profusely. I underestimated Shiping Mountain.

By Water |

There is an observation deck on the top of Shiping Mountain. The ticket for climbing is 30 yuan. I heard that you can see beautiful scenery when you climb to the top.

If you continue going forward from the ancient alley, you can reach the scenic spot of Shiping Mountain. Come up after five o'clock, hehe, you know.

Looking down from the mountain, this small town built along the river is really beautiful. In the evening, many locals will go up to see the night view.

It's really beautiful. You must come here to see it when you have time.

From the location of the pavilion, you can see the entire surrounding area.

Sitting here, watching the trains passing by from time to time, listening to the whistle and the sound of the trains passing by, I feel dizzy.

The viewing pavilion is not the highest point, there is an ancient city wall on it.

There is also a section of the ancient city wall built along the mountain, which you can walk along. Although it has not been repaired, you can still see its formation. The scenery here is very beautiful.

Zhenyuan Ancient City is located on the north bank of Wuyang River, facing the Yuping Mountain. Standing on the top of the mountain, you can overlook the whole ancient city.

After get off work at 17:30, no one is guarding the mountain. You think you can arrange it if no one is guarding it, but they have closed all the doors leading to the mountain. If you want to go up the mountain to see the panoramic view, you need to go up the mountain from the alley next to the main street.

In fact, the observation deck can be regarded as a point. There are many roads spreading downwards. The main entrance above is just one of the roads, and the alley is also one of them.

At 17:30 we found a lane called Renshou Lane (all those small alleys lead up the mountain), and kept walking to the left. There were elementary school students on the road who were going home from school. They were very enthusiastic. As long as you asked how to get to the observation deck, they would tell you and take you there.

When you come to a big fork in the road and see a map, go back and take the path on the right. There will be no dogs there, so you can walk without worry.

We reached the top of the mountain at 18:30. After seeing the scenery below, it was worth the effort to climb up.

Friends who want to take pictures of the night view on the mountain can stay a little longer. At that time, a train will pass by on the opposite side, and the effect will be simply amazing. But pay attention to safety and be sure to bring a flashlight, because there are no lights on the mountain.

When you go back, you can only go back the same way, you must go back the same way!!

Don't think you can go down through the main gate, as the staff there have closed the gate. We went the wrong way and when we were going down the mountain the lights in the ancient town happened to be turned on, and we got to see the night view by accident.

It was magical when we came down. We were clearly returning along the same route, but the alley we came out of was not the alley we took when we went up the mountain, but Fuxing Alley.

By Fish swimming in spring water |

We chose to climb Shiping Mountain in the morning, walking from the "Sifangjing Lane" in the ancient city pedestrian street to the mountain road, overlooking the ancient town of Zhenyuan, which is a relatively relaxing exercise. In the evening, the street lights on the mountain road are a little sparse, and it is still a little inconvenient for the elderly and children to climb the mountain.

By Reverse Traveler |

Look at the travel guide to Zhenyuan. I was moved when I saw someone say that you can overlook the ancient town of Zhenyuan from Shiping Mountain. But the little girl was tired and didn't want to climb the mountain, so someone had to accompany her, so I climbed Shiping Mountain by myself. Shiping Mountain is at the head of Zhusheng Bridge. There is no one guarding it after 6 o'clock in the evening. Many people rush to climb Shiping Mountain at this time. It took me nearly half an hour to finally climb to the top of the mountain. There is a sightseeing pavilion on the top of the mountain, as well as a section of the Miaojiang Great Wall, with a small section of the wall and a battlement remaining. You can see most of Zhenyuan on this battlement. When I went up, it was late. There were already quite a few people on the sightseeing pavilion and the battlement. It can be seen that most of them are couples, snuggling up on it, chatting and watching the night view of the ancient town below the mountain. Standing on a high mountain to look at Zhenyuan, although you can't see the entire "Tai Chi Diagram" ancient town. But in the dark night, blowing the cool breeze, overlooking the lights in the ancient town below the mountain, listening to the songs coming from the bar on the Wuyang River. Suddenly I had a feeling of being in the world and out of the world.

By Niuniuz |

Shiping Mountain faces south and stretches out like a painting, like a mother opening her arms to embrace the ancient city at her feet.

From the beginning of the climb to the top, there was almost no one. There were road signs at the beginning, but there were no signs later. There were also some forks in the road. In order to avoid going in the wrong direction, I kept climbing up along the railings. I thought that the road with railings would not be wrong. Those forks might be faster shortcuts, and the main road was just more roads at best. On the way up the mountain, I only met 4 people from beginning to end. One was an old man who was also traveling alone. He went up the mountain from the plank road at the end of Zhusheng Bridge and went down the mountain from Chongzi Lane, which was exactly the opposite of my journey. When I climbed to the city wall of the prefecture, I met another couple coming down the mountain. I asked them how far they were from the top of the mountain. They told me that they were almost there, and there were at most 5 minutes left and they cheered me on. When I climbed to the top of the mountain, I saw the fourth person, who was the old man who was waiting for the city wall and selling mineral water.

When we reached the top of Shiping Mountain, it was not yet dark. We stood at the end of the city wall and overlooked the entire Zhenyuan Ancient City, with a Tai Chi Bagua diagram of nine mountains surrounding a river, and the river dividing the city into two.

Just as the old man said, the darker the sky, the more people there are on the mountain, and the lights at the foot of Shiping Mountain once again outline the large S-shaped figure of the Wuyang River.

There is no entrance fee to climb Shiping Mountain before 7 o'clock. I came to the ticket gate of Shiping Mountain and started to climb the mountain. Shiping Mountain is located in the east of the entire ancient town. Its northern mountain, which is close to the city, stands like a big screen in the mountain, which is why Shiping Mountain got its name. I went up along the relatively easy mountain road and met a little squirrel during the journey. When I climbed to a pavilion near the top of the mountain, I could take a bird's-eye view of the beautiful scenery of the entire ancient town. I saw the emerald green Wuyang River dividing the entire ancient town into two in an S shape, which is a Tai Chi pattern in shape. The top of the mountain is the ruins of a section of the ancient city wall of Zhenyuan, a very small section, and it is basically impossible to imagine its original majestic appearance as the gateway to eastern Guizhou.

Shiping Mountain is not high and it took less than an hour to go up and down.

By Far, far away |

The best place to overlook the small town of Zhenyuan is to go there on a clear morning or evening. It takes half an hour to reach the top of the mountain, and the beautiful scenery is naturally presented.

By Innisfree |

My husband and I went to climb Shiping Mountain at night. The staff had gone off work, so we saved 30 yuan for the ticket. Haha! Others say it takes an hour to go up and down the mountain, but we two people who exercise regularly only took 35 minutes to go up and down. I am so proud~. From the mountain, the light belt below is as bright as the Milky Way in the sky. The light belt bends into an S shape along the river. Due to this terrain, Zhenyuan is called Taiji Town.

By Purple Wind Spirit 0 |

The view from the top of the mountain is wide, the night view is beautiful, and the lights are winding like a giant dragon. But at the same time, it is a pity that there is too much commercialization here. The whole ancient town is noisy at night. Even standing on the top of the mountain, you can hear the heavy metal music and high-pitched singing in the bar.

By GEO Mr. Wang |

No tickets are required after 17:30 in the evening. It takes about 40 minutes to climb up with children. It is just right to see the night view when you reach the observation deck on the mountain. The lights are not turned on until 20:00. So calculate the time to go up. Otherwise, you will have to wait for a long time. The night view is really good. And since you are here to see the night view, you will definitely gain a lot from seeing the panoramic view at the highest point.

Shiping Mountain is located on the bank of Wuyang River. There is no entrance fee after 5:30, so we decided to climb Shiping Mountain in the evening. Halfway up the mountain, we met a fellow villager and encouraged her to climb the mountain with us. It took us an hour to reach the top of the mountain and overlook the whole view of Wuyang River.

Standing on the top of the mountain and looking at the night view, the lights are colorful and brilliant.

Shiping Mountain Scenic Area is free to enter at 6 pm

As soon as 6 o'clock arrived, we headed to the scenic area. It takes 30 minutes to walk from the bottom of the mountain to the top of the mountain, and this is the speed of going up in one breath. Other friends can estimate it according to their own physical strength.

The viewing pavilion of Shiping Mountain is not the highest point. The highest point is about 50 meters above sea level from the viewing pavilion. On the top of the mountain is the ancient city wall of Zhenyuan.

Due to the obstruction of branches and leaves on the mountain, the highest point is not the best place for viewing the view. The best location is still the viewing pavilion.

It was just 7 o'clock when we got back to the viewing pavilion, and it was not yet dark. From here we could see Zhenyuan's unique Shanghai-Kunming Railway, which runs through the town.

While waiting for the night view, many tourists gathered in the pavilion, chatting casually, exchanging and complaining about the places they had visited. Among them was an old man from Nanjing, who looked to be about 70 years old, who climbed up the mountain alone to enjoy the view. The old man was brought out by his son to play. He said that twice a year, each time for about a month, his son would take him and his wife on a self-driving tour. The old man finally took out a card camera and took pictures of the beautiful scenery seriously. Looking at such a happy and cute old man, my heart was already filled with ripples.

You can see the Wuyang River "S" shape through the ancient town, and there is a city wall on the mountain (ancient city wall, part of which is now under repair). Locals said that climbing the mountain is free, and the scenic area notice says that the staff work hours are 7:00 and 18:00, but I don't know which one is correct, as it was just after 6:00 when I went there.

By 🔺👀🔺 |

The entrance to Shiping Mountain is right next to Zhusheng Bridge. There is no charge before 7 a.m. and after 6 p.m. You can see the night view of the entire Zhenyuan from the top of Shiping Mountain.

By A subtle fragrance |

There are steps to climb Shiping Mountain beside Zhusheng Bridge. When you climb to the top of Shiping Mountain, it is dusk and the lights in the town are slowly lit up. Shiping Mountain is not too high. You can walk through the alley to the middle of the mountain. There is no entrance fee for climbing the mountain in the early morning or at dusk. At night, all the lights are on, and the ancient town is even more beautiful.

By NinaNAnA |

Shiping Mountain is not high, but it still takes some effort to climb up. It takes about half an hour to reach the top. From the top of the mountain, you can overlook the night view of the entire ancient town. It is recommended to go at 6 o'clock, which is just the time when the staff get off work. You don't need to buy a ticket, and it won't be too hot when you climb up. When you reach the top, the lights are just turned on. It won't be too dark when you go down the mountain. There is no lighting on the road, so you need to bring your own flashlight.

By Yala |

It takes about half an hour from the foot of the mountain to the top. You must climb the mountain to see it. The ancient town is really beautiful from above. My skills are too poor. I took photos with a micro single-lens phone and couldn't capture its beauty. No tickets are required before 8 am and after 6 pm. The rest of the time is 30 per person.

Tips:

I suggest you go there after 6 o'clock, as you don't need a ticket and it's not too hot. I really don't want to climb up at other times because it's very sunny.

By farsailing |

After 6pm, the ticket office of Shiping Mountain Scenic Area closed, and you can go up the mountain directly without buying a ticket. The two kids were very good, and although they complained about being tired all the way, they still reached the top of the mountain. Overlooking the ancient city of Zhenyuan, there is something different.

Take a look at another section of the ancient Great Wall. The stone steps tell the history and stories of this place.

By Bian Jie |

It is said that if you climb Shiping Mountain at night, you can see the night view of the entire Zhenyuan Ancient Town, which is particularly beautiful. The driver who took us told us that it would take two hours to climb to the top of the mountain, and that there might be snakes, which scared us so much that we gave up. However, it only took us half an hour to climb the mountain during the day. We were fooled by the driver. However, it was also nice to see the panoramic view of Zhenyuan from the top of the mountain. We just couldn't see the entire Bagua-shaped ancient town because there were too many obstructions from the trees. Our clothes were already soaked when we climbed to the top of the mountain, but we felt a great sense of accomplishment.

Shiping Mountain stops selling tickets after 5:00. There is a sign at the entrance: If you go up the mountain after 5:00, you will be responsible for any accidents.

All the alleys lead to the top of the mountain. You can get lost at any time. Sometimes I walked to someone's house on the mountain. Sometimes I came to an abandoned gymnasium. There was a child playing on the high platform. He suddenly ran down when he saw me walking by. He was sweating and asked in a baby voice: "Sister, are you going to the mountain?" I know the way. Then he danced and pointed the way for me. It was so cute.

Looking at the blue sky from the top of the mountain, I really want to fly on the wings of a big bird~

Looking out over the mountains and rivers, I suddenly feel open-minded

There are narrow stone steps connecting the top of the mountain. No wonder there are alleys at the bottom of the mountain leading to the top.

At eight o'clock, the lights at the foot of the mountain began to light up.

The sky gradually darkened, the lights gradually brightened, and the songs in the bar slowly drifted to the mountain. Each bar was secretly competing with each other to attract customers. We who were on the top of the mountain sat on the rocks to enjoy the breeze and listen to the songs. When we heard excitement, we even sang along.

From time to time, a train would roar through the mountain opposite. The mountain was completely dark and all I could see was the lights coming through the train windows.

Be sure to visit Zhenyuan Ancient Town when you go there. Although the scenery is not very beautiful, it is still worth a visit.

By Say something to yourself |

In addition to being able to climb up to overlook the whole ancient town, Shiping Mountain also has a famous section of the ancient Great Wall "Fuchenghuan" built in the Song Dynasty. The mountain road is made of stone steps, which spiral up in a zigzag shape. Although it is only more than 200 meters high, the slope is very steep. If you are not very physically fit, it will take more than half an hour to climb to the top of the mountain. Standing in the pavilion on the top of the mountain and looking around, you will feel like you can see all the mountains. The emerald-colored Wuyang River is like a ribbon, running through the two mountains in an "S" shape. The entire ancient town is centered on this jade river and is arranged on both sides of the mountain. Therefore, Zhenyuan has another nickname called "Tai Chi City".

By Li Yinhe |

You can see the panoramic view of Zhenyuan Ancient Town from the top of Shiping Mountain. It takes about 30 minutes to climb up, which is really tiring. The ticket is 30 yuan, but there is a road near the new bridge that can also go up the mountain. No one charges this entrance. The location is not easy to describe and it is difficult to find. You can ask the locals. It is said that no one charges after 6 o'clock at the paid entrance. The scenery on the top of the mountain is unique. There are ancient Great Wall buildings on the top of Shiping Mountain. You can walk. It is very steep but very interesting. Due to time constraints, we only walked a section. I asked the aunt selling water on the top and she said it would take 3 kilometers to finish the walk. If we came in the morning, we might consider finishing the walk.

By La La 🙈 |

While the scenic area staff was off work, we started our mountain climbing trip. We saw the sunset, the panoramic view of Zhenyuan, and touched the ancient city wall. Zhenyuan was so far away, so far, and so close.

Shiping Mountain is not very high, and it didn’t take much time to climb up to the top. The view of the ancient city of Zhenyuan from the mountain is quite beautiful.

This travel diary took a week to complete. Welcome to join us. O(∩_∩)O haha~

From Shiping Mountain you can see the panoramic view of Zhenyuan~

So Xiao Xin, carrying her SLR camera, headed for the viewing platform of Shiping Mountain alone.

It takes about 30 minutes to reach the observation deck.

Here, you can have a panoramic view of the narrow and deep ancient alleys, and you can also see the Bagua shape of the Zhenyuan Ancient City.

The soft and winding Wuyang River runs through the city~

From time to time you can see trains whizzing by.

There is no official lighting after 6 o'clock. You need to bring your own flashlight or use your mobile phone to climb up. You must pay attention to safety. Looking up from the bottom, you can see a little white light on the mountainside, which is the light of tourists' mobile phones.

The highest point in Zhenyuan. It is a great place to take night photos, watch the sunrise and sunset, but the daytime view is just so-so.

By Xiao Zhang, that round |

You can climb to the top of the mountain to overlook the whole ancient town and the winding Wuyang River. Along the way, you will encounter well-preserved ancient houses and experience the special "evil ways" in the ancient alleys. There is a ticket for climbing the mountain, but you can choose to climb for free after 6 pm. Although most of the roads leading to the mountain can reach the top of the mountain, it is not recommended for beginners who don't know the situation. Of course, those who like adventure can insist.

By Morning |

The scenery here is better than that of the pavilion on the mountain. Looking at the mountains outside the city from afar, I came to Zhenyuan from those distant mountains, and my heart was surging.

Although the road down the mountain is made of stone steps, there is no one on the road except for the occasional squirrel and the cicadas chirping loudly in the trees.

The cicadas in this mountain are chirping so loudly that I thought it was a construction site.

Shiping Mountain is located on the east side of Wuyang River in Wuyang Town, Zhenyuan County, and belongs to the Qilian Mountain System. It is majestic and steep with overlapping rocks. The North Mountain on one side of Shiping Mountain stands upright in the mountain like a big screen.

Half an hour later, we finally reached the observation deck. The two girls were not simple, they climbed the mountain with a height of almost 200 meters in one go. Thinking back to how we were out of breath all the way, I sighed that it was great to be young.

Climb up to the observation deck of Shiping Mountain to get a panoramic view of the ancient city of Zhenyuan.

I personally tested it in practice. Going in from Chongzikou Lane and following the stone road up the mountain, you can go directly to the top of Shiping Mountain, saving 30 tickets. There were no staff on the mountain at all. Although I bought a ticket to enter, I thought it was a wild scenic spot.

Shiping Mountain does not charge admission after 6pm. Although it is a mountain, the road is well-maintained, and the stone steps and handrails are very safe! It was not dark when we climbed up, and the ancient town at the foot of the mountain gradually became smaller, and finally we reached the top of the mountain. It was only 7:15 when we climbed up, and the lights of the ancient town were not on yet. I felt the beautiful scenery under my feet and the breeze blowing, which was quite satisfying.

When you come to Zhenyuan, you must climb Shiping Mountain to overlook the panoramic view of Zhenyuan. When you climb up, you can choose to walk up the mountain from the small path on the street in the ancient town. Because you need to pay 30 yuan per person to climb the mountain from Zhusheng Bridge, you can save 30 yuan if you don't climb the mountain from there. As for how long it takes to climb to the top, it took me 40 minutes to climb. If you climb fast, it will take about 20-30 minutes.

By Windless Season |

The small viewing platform on the top of the mountain was already full of tourists, and we had to wait for a long time before we could get a place to stand. The cold wind on the mountain was blowing hard, and the octopus tripod was shaking a little, so the night view was not very ideal. Zhenyuan is a long and narrow ancient town developed along the Wuyang River, and the photos taken without a wide-angle lens can only be a small part.

From here you can overlook the ancient city of Zhenyuan. In fact, there are many entrances to Shiping Mountain, because Shiping Mountain is considered a large park in Zhenyuan, and the hiking trails in the mountains are all connected, so no matter which alley you take, you will eventually come to the same road.

There are many local residents walking on the Shiping Mountain plank road at night, but after the Siguan Temple, there is no one to be seen. The trail has become a night road in the mountains, and there is only a deserted grave at the top of the mountain.

The Qinglong Cave complex is located in Zhonghe Mountain in the east of Zhenyuan Ancient Town. However, it was under renovation when we went there and we could not go up. However, there is a Shiping Mountain next to it, which is the barrier to the north of Zhenyuan Ancient Town. It is across the river from Qinglong Cave and is the commanding height of the ancient city. After eating the unique fern root powder and ice powder in Zhenyuan, I started to climb Shiping Mountain. After climbing the mountain road for more than half an hour, I finally reached the top of the viewing platform and saw the legendary ancient city wall. Looking down from the top of the mountain, you can see the panoramic view of the entire Zhenyuan City, and you have a feeling of looking down on all the mountains. Zhenyuan Ancient Town is in the shape of a bagua, and the winding Wuyang River passes through the city. From time to time, you can see freight trains whizzing by.

By Afternoon sunset |

I went to the night view of Zhenyuan recommended by netizens to climb to the highest point Shiping Mountain to see it. Shiping Mountain is not too high. It took us nearly 40 minutes to reach the top of the mountain, take pictures of the night view, and it was already 9 o'clock when we went down the mountain to eat. But sitting by the Wuyang River, blowing the pleasant breeze, listening to the songs in the distance, it didn't matter what to eat.

By echo travel notes |

Shiping Mountain is very quiet, with not many tourists. The whole Zhenyuan is like this, so it is especially worth going. The rice wine of Zhenyuan Escort Agency on the mountain is super delicious.

To watch the sunrise in Zhenyuan, you can have a panoramic view of the whole city of Zhenyuan from the mountain; secondly, I heard that there are remains of the ancient Great Wall on the mountain, where you can pay tribute to them.

By givensL |

I was on the mountain. When I went up at 7:10 pm, some people had already come down. It took 20 minutes to get to the viewing platform. No one cared. No tickets were required, but it said that you go up the mountain at your own risk... To be honest, 30 yuan for a mountain road to take pictures of the mountain view is too much, although there is a small scenic spot (closed at night)

Next to Zhusheng Bridge is Shiping Mountain. The staff will not charge admission tickets from 6pm until 8am the next day. Shiping Mountain is the barrier to the north of Zhenyuan Ancient City, across the river from Qinglong Cave, and is also the highest point of the ancient city. It took about half an hour to climb to the viewing platform on the top of the mountain. The whole ancient town can be seen from the top of the mountain, including the narrow and deep ancient alleys and the constantly turning Wuyang River. Halfway down the mountain, there are ancient streets and ancient houses, and there are broken ancient Great Wall on the mountain. When you come to Zhenyuan, Shiping Mountain must not be missed.

I accidentally went up the mountain from Sifangjing. I didn't see any place collecting tickets. The scenery on the mountain was very nice.

By LINCOLN |

It was foggy and I couldn't see anything, but the air was good. It was a good morning exercise.

By ζ、Hua |

I like high places, and I can see far when I stand high. However, Shiping Mountain requires tickets at night, but not during the day. However, they charge tickets all day long. Tickets are 30

By There is no such thing |

Shiping Mountain is like a lion with its head held high and its chest puffed out, its posture majestic and proud, the clear water is like a poem, the Wuyang River is like a jade belt, winding through the whole city in an "S" shape. The mountains, rivers and city are integrated into one and their reflections form a painting, forming the huge town of Shiping on the Tai Chi diagram, forming a unique style of "nine mountains embracing a city, and one water dividing and guarding it", and is praised by Chinese and foreign tourists as the "Venice of the East".

By Zhao Miwu's tune |

This is definitely the highlight of Zhenyuan Ancient Town. It is a small section of the ancient Great Wall. There is no entrance fee if you go there in the morning. There are few people and you can take as many photos as you want. The whole scenery of Zhenyuan is at your feet.

By Chelsea chasing the light |

Shiping Mountain and Qinglong Cave stand opposite each other across the river, providing two different bird's-eye views. Here you can see the ancient town, Wuyang River, the canyon, the train coming out of this cave and running along the bridge to the other cave, and the children counting the number of train sections. The green train is so long that the children are almost exhausted. Haha, there is also a small section of the ruined Great Wall.

When you come to the ancient city, you really have to go up Shiping Mountain for a distant view. The whole town is in sight and it is worth it no matter how tiring it is.

There is no entrance fee before 8:30 in the morning and after 17:30 in the afternoon (the entrance fee is 30 yuan)

Located on the east side of Wuyang River in Wuyang Town, Zhenyuan County, Guizhou Province, it belongs to the Qilian Mountain System. It is majestic and steep with heavy rocks and barriers. It stretches 2.2 kilometers from east to west. The main peak is 668.1 meters above sea level, with a relative height difference of 204 meters with the surface of Wuyang River. It is an excellent place to view the ancient city of Zhenyuan.

Under normal circumstances, the Wuyang River would be full and the sun would be very bright, so of course we must go. However, it was cloudy when I was there and the water was drained. It would not be full again until April or May, so I did not go to the top of the mountain, because the photos would show a sea of houses. It only satisfies my desire to climb high and see far. I am just a pseudo-literary person, not a real literary person, so I do not have the desire to climb high and see far, so I did not go to the top of the mountain. I walked to about halfway up the mountain and took some photos. If the scenery was at its most beautiful, as a pseudo-literary person, I would climb to the top of the mountain.
