The Zunyi Conference Site is a two-story brick-and-wood building that combines Chinese and Western styles. When we went there, the second floor was closed and could not be visited. Opposite the building is a memorial exhibition hall, which mainly displays the development of the revolution and the Long March of the Red Army in the form of photos. An hour is enough for the whole visit.

Everyone knows the story of this meeting place, let me share some other feelings. After leaving the exhibition hall, a few steps away is a commercial pedestrian street with all kinds of snacks. There is also a church with a nice shape, but it is closed. What is unexpected is that there is actually a tourist attraction here called Mao Zedong's Former Residence, which is actually just the place where the great man stayed when he passed by. I am really drunk by the practice of making a certain former residence at every turn. I remembered that there was a former residence of Mao Zedong in Guangzhou, at least people just called it "old residence" instead of "former residence"; later in the Tucheng scenic area in Zunyi, I saw "Mao Zedong and Zhou Enlai's address". In comparison, the name of Guangzhou and Tucheng is more realistic.

2014.8.26. I went back to Sichuan via Guizhou and Zunyi, and got off the bus for a quick tour.

The old site was more simple and small than I had imagined! But it was in this small room that the red revolution in our country took a historic turn, and from then on, a series of magnificent poems that shocked people were written!

It is still worth seeing. The bits and pieces of history lessons are presented in a more realistic way. I won't say that I will immediately feel that I will devote my life to the country until my death, but I will feel happier, happy with the stable and rich life now. By the way, you need to use your ID card to get the ticket. If you go, remember to bring your ID card. This scene is reproduced, and it is still a bit realistic.

The whole exhibition hall is quite large, and there are quite a few visitors. There are also kindergarten teachers leading two teams of children, wearing school uniforms like little bees, babbling, cute ~ It took almost three hours to see the whole thing carefully.

The site of the Zunyi Conference has also been newly built into the Zunyi Conference Site Exhibition Hall, which houses historical materials on the Zunyi Conference during the 25,000-mile Long March, revolutionary relics and historical photos of the Four Crossings of the Chishui River.

Because it was during the National Day, the queues were so long that I doubted my life. But fortunately, no tickets were required. You could get a free ticket with your ID card to enter the scenic area.

The attraction is not very big, and it is more than enough to watch it slowly for 2 hours. There are sculptures of the founding marshals in the exhibition hall. There are also many things used by the Red Army in the past.

There were too many people at the entrance of the exhibition hall and I couldn't take pictures, so I gave up.

The total time for queuing and touring was more than 3 hours. The tour was finished around 5:30, and there was a 40-minute traffic jam when we got out of the parking lot.

The venue closes at 5pm, and you can get a ticket directly to receive red education. This place is free.

The architecture of the meeting place is a fusion of Chinese and Western styles. I don't know what it was used for in the past. I guess it may have been an integrated building of the Christian church next to it. Now the interior has been renovated and displays the living scenes of the leaders at that time. I doubt that in such a tense environment, a temporary command post that only held a three-day meeting would be displayed like it is now.

A huge exhibition hall was newly built behind the meeting site, which provides a detailed introduction to the details of the Red Army's entire process of the Long March. A large amount of first-hand wartime information and cultural relics make up for the few pages of content in history textbooks.

The venue is free of charge and entry requires verification. There are crowds of visitors. Fortunately, many illegal buildings have been demolished and the square is wide enough to accommodate so many people who came to hear the news.

Zunyi Conference Memorial Hall

After entering, there is a group sculpture in front of you, with seventeen or eighteen leaders, magnificent and golden. There are east and west exhibition halls inside, which are quite large and have many old weapons on display.

It is probably one of the most famous red scenic spots in China. It is not just the site of the meeting, but a series of buildings from the Republic of China period, which served as the residences of the main leaders who participated in the Zunyi Conference. Unfortunately, the city of Zunyi has been transformed, and these cultural relics are scattered throughout the city, and the overall appearance of the Republic of China period is no longer there.

This is a must-visit place in Zunyi, right in the city center, within walking distance. Here you can recall the meeting in January 1935 that changed Chinese history and learn a lot.

The Zunyi Conference Site is located in a corner of the courtyard. It is a two-story building. On the day we went there, the second floor was no longer open to visitors. Opposite the entrance to the scenic area is the Zunyi Conference Memorial Hall.

Exiting the back door of the scenic area, opposite is the Red Army Zunyi Garrison Command; next to the scenic area is the small building where the main leaders of the Red Army at that time lived.

There is no need to buy tickets for the Zunyi Conference Site and the later Zhazidong and Baigongguan in Chongqing. Visitors can enter with their ID cards.

We received free tickets with our ID card, and hired a tour guide (150 yuan) with a family from Chongqing, which gave our baby a deeper understanding of this precious history.

That day was August 15, the anniversary of the victory of the Anti-Japanese War. To visit the Zunyi Conference Site, you only need to exchange your ID card at the door for a free ticket. There were many people visiting that day. It was not big inside, but there was a newly built site museum with many exhibits.

Because we arrived early, there were not many tourists, and we told many red stories to the two younger children. The slogan painted on the wall of the Zunyi Meeting Site is a universal ten-point daily work. My companion and I are both old party members, and my wife is also an active member of the party. This time when we came to the red base, we jointly unfolded the borrowed party flag and took pictures with the bright party flag. We all felt that it was very meaningful, and it also educated and inspired the children invisibly. It is the so-called teaching by words and deeds!

I didn't expect there to be so many people here, but fortunately, there was no need to queue up. You can get the ticket directly with your ID card, which is free. I asked if the service center had any tour guide services, and was told that all the tour guides had been sent out. At this time, a tour guide just came back and was able to provide us with voluntary tour guides, which was great. Behind the Zunyi Conference building is the Zunyi Conference Exhibition Hall, which was built and put into use in 2015. It displays this period of history in all aspects. My son followed the tour guide all the way and listened with great interest.

The red tour is divided into the old museum and the new museum. People are not allowed to go upstairs in the old historical building. The new museum is very large and the introduction to the biographies of the people who attended the meeting is not objective and comprehensive.

After five meetings, the Communist Party of China ended the original three-person group, formed three new small groups, crossed the Chishui River four times, occupied Zunyi for the second time, and finally broke out of Chiang Kai-shek's encirclement.

Before entering the visiting hall, each person will be given a Bluetooth headset and the tour guide will explain the tour one by one.

There was a lady in her 60s next to me, she cried several times. I don’t know what her friends and family have been through, but I deeply understand how hard it is to have a happy life.

This kind of red scenic spot has no explanation so you can basically just take a quick look. However, as a member of the system, you may one day participate in a special tour of this kind of scenic spot. There will definitely be an explanation at that time, so you must listen and learn carefully.

The patriotic education base is worth a visit to understand the significance of the Red Army’s Long March and how hard it is to have a happy life today.

The Zunyi Conference Site is surrounded by a high wall. After the opening hours, the gate was locked. I finally knocked on the gate, but the gatekeeper refused to let me in. He even refused to let me take a photo. I came all the way here with a red heart, but was refused entry. I was very angry and have complained to the Guizhou Tourism Committee.

What can I say about this place! It seems like a must-visit place when coming to Zunyi. It has no special features and is just a place where the Red Army passed through during the Long March. If the Zunyi Conference had not been held here, it would have been even less meaningful!

Zunyi is very good in terms of civilization and public security, but the city still needs to be developed. It is very good overall, slightly better than Guiyang in terms of comprehensiveness. It is not as dirty, messy and poor as Guiyang. The site of the Zunyi Conference is in Honghuagang District. I heard from the locals that this is an old district, but patrols and duty points can be seen everywhere. I went to see it during the Dragon Boat Festival. There were quite a lot of people. Next to the site is a pedestrian street, and the famous delicious street Laosha Lane is also next to it.
