Hebei Museum

Hebei Museum is a provincial comprehensive museum in China, with an exhibition area of more than 22,000 square meters. The total number of collections in Hebei Museum is 240,000, including 340 first-class cultural relics (pieces/sets), 1,926 second-class cultural relics (pieces/sets), and 17,383 third-class cultural relics (pieces/sets). In addition, the museum has a collection of more than 50,000 books, many of which are rare books from the Ming and Qing dynasties. It is one of the main collection units of Hebei Provincial Local Chronicles.
The most famous treasures here include the Liu Sheng Jade Burial Suit from the Western Han Dynasty, which is the first jade burial suit of the highest specification and the most complete discovered in China, and is one of the 64 national treasures that are permanently prohibited from leaving the country; and the Iron-footed Bronze Tripod from the Warring States Period.
It is recommended to prepare enough time. Those who like history can spend a whole day there.

I checked the museum's official website in advance and saw that there are many different types of free tours, including two types: 1. The general tour is at the entrance of the Stone Age exhibition hall on the third floor at 10 a.m. 2. There are scheduled tours in each exhibition hall, and there are also volunteers wearing blue vests to give tours. It can be said that the service provided by the museum is quite good.

I need to complain about the free guided tour here. It can be said that it only talks about a few national treasures, and the guide walked very fast. It’s not even a quick tour! He kept saying that there are many kinds of explanations in the museum, and ours is just a general tour. We have to go through all the exhibition halls and only talk about the key points. It’s like reviewing before an exam! He kept saying it several times, and also said that if you feel that the explanation is not detailed enough, you can find a volunteer... In total, we walked three floors and it was done in 1 hour! In fact, you can talk about a lot more things if you have the time to say these words. Since everyone chooses to listen to your general tour, they know that you won’t explain it in detail, but they don’t ignore your nonsense! The tone of your speech makes people uncomfortable! So I remind everyone not to follow the general tour! It’s better to see them one by one, or listen to the explanations of each exhibition hall!

Select wonderful chapters to show the treasures of Yanzhao

The most distinctive features of the Hebei Museum are the cultural relics unearthed from the Mancheng Han Tombs, porcelain from the four famous kilns in ancient Hebei, Yuan blue and white porcelain, stone-carved Buddhist statues, calligraphy and paintings by local celebrities from the Ming and Qing dynasties, and cultural relics from the Anti-Japanese War period.

It captures the most exciting chapters in Hebei's history, introduces the basic display system of the new museum, and actively contributes to the collection, protection, research, display and exhibition, publicity and education, and domestic and international exchanges of cultural relics.

I have long known that the Hebei Museum has the world-famous Changxin Palace Lantern and the exquisite stone carvings of Wang Chuzhi's tomb. But apart from these Internet-famous cultural relics, when I actually visited, I found that the most attractive thing was the Northern Dynasties murals, with flowing lines and bold and bizarre movements, a sense of fantasy like the Classic of Mountains and Seas, which makes people never forget it after taking a look.

Due to time constraints, we did not borrow an interpreter this time and visited all by ourselves. I have to mention here that you must borrow an interpreter and listen to the explanations of volunteers if you have the chance! The Hebei Provincial Museum is divided into two venues, the north and south, and is also divided into permanent exhibition halls and temporary exhibition halls. Due to time constraints, we only visited the temporary venue of the fireworks and then moved to the permanent exhibition hall. Of course, in order to save time, we consulted the staff at the service desk and selected the must-see exhibition halls. It happened that the museum was holding a New Year event, and we felt that there was not enough time!

By the way, there are a lot of pigeons on the square at the entrance. They are not afraid of people. If you have time, you can take some photos with the pigeons. As for parking, you can find a spot on the sidewalk opposite the square. It’s free!

Hebei Museum has been included in the second season of "National Treasure". As a Hebei native, I am sincerely happy. Hebei Museum has a rich collection. The famous jade clothes of King Jing of Zhongshan and his wife are here, as well as the famous Changxin Palace Lantern from the Han Dynasty. These are all national treasures. You must come and see them when you come to Shijiazhuang. It is very good.

By Jin |

The north gate of the museum is close to the subway station, but I personally feel that the south gate is the main entrance. Because entering the museum is based on the order of the exhibition halls, I have observed that the south gate is a better route for sightseeing.

Hebei Museum was planned and built in Baoding in April 1953, moved from Baoding to Shijiazhuang in May 1981, moved to its current location in March 1987, and officially opened on October 1. The expanded Hebei Provincial Museum opened to the public on June 8, 2013, and officially opened to the public on June 9, 2014.

Hebei Provincial Museum currently has a total of 150,000 cultural relics in its collection, including more than 360 first-class cultural relics (including 6 national treasures). The most famous cultural relics in the collection are those unearthed from the tomb of Liu Sheng, King of Zhongshan in the Western Han Dynasty, and his wife Dou Wan at Mancheng Mausoleum. The two sets of jade clothes with gold threads are the first to be discovered in my country's archaeological excavations and are also the most complete jade clothes of the Han Dynasty.

I personally check in two or three times a month, because I like staying in museums very much, and the Provincial Museum is really quiet during non-holidays. On Saturdays and Sundays, there will be people with children leading groups. There will be professional explanations when there are many people, but the number of people will not be as exaggerated as that of the Shaanxi Museum... The permanent exhibitions on the first and second floors are must-sees, especially the Zhongshan Kingdom has so many beautiful artifacts, and the display of the Northern Dynasties murals is also very grand. The museum holds special exhibitions regularly, some are very thoughtful and some are just... There are almost no people on the third floor of the Stone Age, but I still highly recommend it. In short, the atmosphere of each exhibition hall of the Hebei Museum's permanent exhibition is very good, and there are also many multimedia interactions (animation, games, computers, large screens), and there are many quiet places to rest. I think people who love museums can't finish visiting them in a day or two.

The provincial No. 1 Museum is a must-visit place wherever you go. It has a wide range of exhibitions, high quality, and many national treasures. The Jade Clothes with Gold Threads, the Changxin Palace Lantern, the Silver-Inlaid Bronze Winged Beast, the Quyang Stone Sculpture, and the Openwork Dragon and Phoenix Patterned Bronze Door Knockers...

The museum opens at 9:00 and is closed on Mondays. You can use the self-service ticket machine at the entrance to get your ticket by swiping your ID card. The main exhibitions are concentrated in the south area. There are lockers and drinking water dispensers.

There are two types of explanations. The first is to start from the third floor and explain each exhibition hall continuously. That is, there is a tour guide leading the way, starting from the third floor and going down in turn, and explaining the key points in each exhibition hall. We asked before that it would take an hour and a half to finish the explanation, but in fact, it took us nearly two hours to listen to the whole circle. Although the tour guide is young, he speaks very well, vividly and interestingly. This kind of explanation has two sessions a day, at 10 am and 2:30 pm, starting at the entrance of the "Hebei in the Stone Age" exhibition hall on the third floor. The second type is the explanation for each exhibition hall, and the volunteer tour guides wear blue vests. I gained a lot in the day. There is also a cultural and creative store, so you can buy as much as you want.

The jewels of Yanzhao shine brightly in China, and you must visit the exhibition of national treasures from Hebei.

Wow, they actually snatched away all the good stuff from the Zhongshan Kingdom Museum. No wonder I couldn’t find anything when I went to the Zhongshan Kingdom Archaeological Site Park!

By Dadahong is going on a trip |

It is a large museum, where national treasures such as the Changxin Palace Lantern and the Golden Jade Clothes are collected.

I browsed for two hours but didn't finish it. Maybe I'm a bit slow.

It is very convenient to get tickets from the automatic ticket machine. You just need to show your ID card. There is also a ticket machine for minors nearby.

The environment is very good and the viewing value is very high. I personally like the Mediterranean section and the mysterious tomb of the diver.

Because there was really nothing else to see in Shijiazhuang city, I went to the Provincial Museum for two consecutive days. The specifications were very high. The Boshan Furnace, Changxin Palace Lantern, and Jinlu Yuyi were all legendary treasures, and I finally saw them with my own eyes.

There are several treasures here that you must see. There are also many exquisite exhibits in other exhibition halls. It is recommended to spend a day to appreciate them.

If you drive there yourself, the parking lot opposite is relatively small so there may not be a spot available. You can also park at the marked roadside nearby. There is currently no charge and no one is managing it.

This is the best place to learn about the history and culture of a city. The Changxin Palace Lantern, the Jade Clothes with Gold Threads, and the Gold-Inlaid Bronze Boshan Furnace unearthed from the Han Tombs in Mancheng are all treasures of the museum.

There are many cultural relics in it, divided into the North and South Pavilions. Interested children can stay here for a whole day. The most famous are the golden jade clothes of Liu Sheng and Dou Wan. There were few people when I went there, and some intelligent equipment was not turned on. Due to time constraints, I just took a quick look.

The new building of Hebei Museum is very beautiful, and the interior layout is very good. The exhibition halls on each floor have distinct themes. I also saw the murals unearthed from Wang Chuzhi's tomb. I was very surprised that I didn't expect to see them here. There are also some screening rooms that introduce the historical stories of Zhao and Yan in the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period, which gives people a great experience

On August 17, 2018, my grandfather and I took a bus from Zhengding back to Shijiazhuang to visit the Hebei Provincial Museum. This was the most disappointing museum we visited after visiting nearly 30 provincial museums across the country. There were no cultural relics to see. There were only exhibitions of the cultural history of Hebei Bangzi Opera, marine life and coral, and images (holographic and laser photos) of Pilu Temple. Such a big province doesn’t even have a decent cultural relic? ? Speechless; no wonder it is called the No. 1 Village in the World;

By Water |

The Hebei Museum is divided into two connected buildings, the North District and the South District. The North District looks a bit old, and the South District should be newly built later. Most of the permanent exhibition halls are also concentrated in the new building. There were not too many people on the day I went there, and there were staff in each exhibition hall to maintain the order of the visitors. If there were visitors making loud noises, they would stop them immediately. This is what a proper museum should look like. The visiting experience was great!

In addition to the good visiting atmosphere, the collections in the Hebei Museum are also worth seeing. I want to mention the Hebei Shang Dynasty Civilization Museum, which can be said to be the most detailed introduction to the Shang Dynasty civilization among the many museums I have visited. Various cultural relics and models combined with multimedia applications show the social outlook of Hebei in the Shang Dynasty in many aspects. Although I know that there was a slave society in primitive ancient times, and burying people alive is unacceptable, there was actually a custom in the Shang Dynasty to kill people and bury them alive before building a house and laying the foundation, which is called human sacrifice. Wouldn't you be afraid to live in such a house? Such a civilization is better to go and never return.

Now many provincial museums have launched WeChat public accounts to provide audio guides. Those in need can directly search or scan the QR code provided in the museum. Remember not to disturb other visitors and wear headphones to listen.

I spent most of the day here, taking my time to look around, and remember that you cannot use flash when taking photos in the museum! Protecting cultural relics is everyone's responsibility.

Absolutely five-star rating!!! I am not obsessed with museums, but I have been to many museums, but I love the Hebei Museum in Shijiazhuang. It houses more than a dozen heavyweight national treasures, among which the gold-thread jade clothes unearthed from the Mancheng Han Tomb are the treasures of the museum, and there are also a variety of tomb objects of the King of Zhongshan during the Warring States Period, which are also worth seeing. The most rare thing is: the software of the museum is very good and very considerate, with rich pictures and texts, multimedia applications, and sufficient and comfortable seats that make people like me who walk and stop feel relieved. There are also thoughtful little guides, which are also a beautiful scenery of the museum. In addition, the transportation of the museum is extremely convenient, with direct access to the subway and bus access to the ancient city of Zhengding. Such a good place, the number of tourists is just right, not too many and not too few, and you can't finish it even if you spend a day strolling around.

As a national first-class museum, Hebei Museum is indeed worth a visit. There are many famous exhibits, many interactive games in the museum, a theater that plays historical stories, and a WeChat public account for self-help explanations. The whole building is magnificent and steady.

The weather in Shijiazhuang looked gloomy. After eating, we took the bus to the Hebei Museum. Since it dares to call a "museum" as an "institute", the collections must be quite rich. However, we got up too early that day and rushed all the way. The warm air-conditioning in the museum made us sleepy. In addition, it was already afternoon and the museum was about to close. We could not have a careful visit, which was a pity.

When we arrived at the Hebei Provincial Museum, we first walked around it respectfully for two times, and finally found a parking lot in front of the Science and Technology Museum near the museum.

Exchange your ID card for a ticket and then walk into the hall.

The treasures in the collection include: Changxin Palace Lantern, Bronze Sheep Zun Lantern, Jinboshan Furnace, Liu Sheng's Gold-thread Jade Clothes, Liu Sheng's Gold-thread Jade Clothes, etc. Please pay more attention to these when you look at them, as they have high historical value.

Most of the cultural relics here were dug out from the Mancheng Han Tombs, with a total of 1,605 pieces (sets), including coffins, jade clothes with gold threads, jade articles, glassware, figurines, carriages and horses, tents, lamps, stoves, daily utensils, stationery and collectibles, medical supplies, coins, weapons, iron tools, cooking and food, stone mills, pottery, etc. In other words, there is everything.

The ancient Zhongshan Kingdom was actually the Eight Kingdoms during the Warring States Period. 1,400 cultural relics were unearthed here. Later, because they were too rich and had nothing to do, they were quickly conquered by the State of Zhao.

By Time Walk |

It is much better than expected. The ten treasures of the hospital are worth seeing. See the picture.

By Zhi Yanzhai |

The exhibits are rich and high-level, and are worth seeing. The gold-thread jade clothes of Liu Sheng and Dou Wan are currently the highest-level in China, and the Changxin Palace Lantern is also a national treasure.

The square of the museum is very big, and the building feels obviously old and has a lot of flavor. I came to Shijiazhuang to change trains. Since there was nothing to see in the city, and I was particularly interested in cultural relics after watching "National Treasure", I chose to visit the Hebei Provincial Museum to see two national treasures, the Golden Jade Clothes and the Changxin Palace Lantern. They were really shocking and worth a visit.

By Augustus |

In this small provincial capital city, the Hebei Provincial Museum is the only one worth visiting in Shijiazhuang. Compared with other provincial and municipal museums I have visited, the national treasures and precious artifacts, gold and jade bells and tripods that witnessed the tragic songs of Yan and Zhao, the Zhongshan Huyun and the majestic style of the Northern Wei Dynasty are not inferior: the two treasures of the museum, the 2,000-year-old Zhongshan Jingwang Jinlu Yuyi and Changxin Palace Lantern, are as famous as the Mawangdui female corpse and T-shaped silk painting in the Hunan Provincial Museum, the Zenghouyi chime bells and the Sword of Goujian, King of Yue in the Hubei Provincial Museum, and the Horse Stepping on Flying Swallow in the Gansu Provincial Museum, all of which are treasures of Chinese culture and are well-known all over the world; and the new museum, which was completed last year, is magnificent, novel and modern, and is among the best museums of its kind (it seems to be slightly ahead of the local economic development level and humanistic quality), and it is worth tourists from all over the world to stop and appreciate!

By Strolling along the willow-shaded embankment |

Hebei Provincial Museum has good hardware facilities, but the exhibits are a bit thin compared to other provincial museums. But it takes at least half a day to visit them all.

By Can't fly |

The Hebei Provincial Museum is built in the city center, not far from Chang'an Park. Like most northern buildings, it looks heavy and thick. The square in front of the museum is large and is home to many pigeons. When the pigeons take off at the same time, the tips of their wings reflect the light under the blue sky, and the sky makes a humming sound, attracting tourists to raise their mobile phones.

The admission procedure is very simple. There is an automatic ticket machine at the door. You can get a ticket by scanning your ID card. I was a little confused when I entered the museum. There were no obvious signs and moving lines to guide visitors where to go first. I walked to the South Hall and barely understood how to visit this place. The main exhibition area is in the South Hall. There are three floors of fixed exhibition areas. You should look from top to bottom. The third floor is Stone Age Hebei, Shang and Zhou Dynasties, and the second floor is Yanzhao, Zhongshan and Han Dynasties. From the timeline, it seems that Hebei stopped here. The first floor is Quyang stone carvings and Ming and Qing porcelain. What about the newer ones? Are there no modern ones? No party and people's construction and dedication to the new Hebei? Well, maybe we didn't find it.

From the exhibition hall, I am most interested in the story of Yan State. During the vast Warring States Period, many legends came from the north of Yan State, especially Jing Ke, the assassin of Prince Dan, who failed to assassinate Qin State, which led to the destruction of Yan State. One general became famous, and thousands of people died, which established the Qin Empire. However, there are not many exhibits and introductions in the museum. After reading an article carefully, it is not very clear.

The Hebei Provincial Museum also has treasures of the town, especially the Jade Clothes with Gold Threads, and there are two sets of them. They were worn by Liu Sheng and his wife Dou Wan after they died together. They are the best jade clothes unearthed in China, and the thread used to sew the jade pieces is made of genuine pure gold. It is really amazing. In the same exhibition room, there is another treasure of the town, called the Gilded Changxin Palace Lantern, which is exquisitely designed and is still amazing now. The lantern was also from the tomb of Liu Sheng's wife. It seems that Liu Sheng was not only rich, but also liked high technology. He wanted to hold these rare things even after his death.

We are introducing a little-known but very luxurious item, a small bowl from the Ming and Qing dynasties, called the "Blue Glaze Gold Moon Shadow Plum Pattern Cup". It is hard to say how interesting, how much it can hold, and how good it is for eating. At most, it is just beautiful, elegant, and colorful. But, but, our tour guide said that this bowl is a unique piece, and there are only more than 10 similar blue-glazed porcelains now. This bowl is worth more than 100 million yuan. My God! How can a bowl worth 100 million yuan fall?

Compared to that extremely expensive bowl, I also like a jar with extremely exquisite craftsmanship, called the "Blue and White Glaze Red Opening Decorated Covered Jar". This big thing has a simple and elegant shape, rich blue and white, and more than ten layers of decorative patterns. It integrates various techniques such as painting, sculpture, stickers, and underglaze red. It is the top blue and white porcelain of the Yuan Dynasty. This jar is not as expensive as the bowl, and is only worth tens of millions.

There is also a special exhibition hall for stone carvings in the museum - Quyang Stone Sculptures. The items on display are very exquisite. After all, Hebei is the most important part of China's historical process. Especially after the prevalence of Buddhism, gods mainly represented by Buddha statues have dominated the ideological level of the emperors in the Central Plains. Thousands of years of fine works are gathered here, and some of them are really quite exquisite.

By Ahe |

It feels like a good museum with good facilities. It is not a big museum, but the cultural relics are worth seeing. The southern area is where the cultural relics are always exhibited, and the northern area is where temporary exhibitions are held. There are many special exhibitions in the northern area during holidays. During the 18th Spring Festival, cultural relics from the Peterhof Palace during the Russian Tsarist period and the Dream of Red Mansions picture book paintings from the Qing Dynasty were exhibited.

Yuan Dynasty blue and white underglaze red. It is said that this blue and white underglaze red jar with a decal is a pair, and the Palace Museum took one of them by force. Originally, it was difficult for Yuan blue and white to produce fine products, and with the soft underglaze red, it is no wonder that this jar could buy three Hebei Provincial Museums. The luster of porcelain has been like new for thousands of years. Even though this Bodhisattva statue has broken arms, it is still amazing. I didn't understand why the armless Venus attracted so many people until I stood in front of this Bodhisattva statue. Yellow glaze bowl. Pouring yellow is also called delicate yellow. Pure yellow was not available until the Xuande period of the Ming Dynasty, and the yellow glaze reached its highest level during the Hongzhi period. Yellow glaze is glazed using the pouring glaze method.

For students who like history but don't know much about it, can they find a tour guide? ? ? emm WeChat has voice explanations but the atmosphere is very dull. It is said that there are free explanations at each time period, but I used two halls with a Taiwanese group, and later I also used other people's tour guides. Maybe there are free explanations in one of them. Hahaha, I can't tell. I recommend going to the service desk to ask questions about the explanations. The Jade Clothes with Golden Threads is great. I saw the Silver Clothes at the National Museum last time, and I learned more about the Jade Clothes with Golden Threads this time. I like the Yanzhao exhibition hall very much. There is a screen in the Zhao State Hall showing an animated version of the past of the Zhao State. Many of them are ancient texts in the Chinese textbooks of primary and secondary schools, and the animated images are not distorted. Super good

The number and quality of museums in a city, regardless of its size, demonstrates the spiritual quality and cultural conscience of the city’s managers and the general public.

Just like the significance of the excavation of Mawangdui to the Hunan Provincial Museum, the most important thing that should not be missed in the Hebei Provincial Museum is the tomb of Liu Sheng, the King of Zhongshan, discovered in Mancheng, Hebei. Its significance is almost equivalent to the sudden discovery of Tutankhamun's tomb among the many pharaoh tombs that had long been looted in Egypt.

It's quite good and large in scale. The volunteer guide also speaks well.

I have visited museums in many provinces and cities, and this one is pretty good.

I came to Shijiazhuang North to transfer and it was raining. I went to this museum because the old man recommended it. The key point is that the environment is good and it is convenient to avoid the cold. 🙈 However, the collection is very rich, which greatly exceeded my expectations.

I went there around 2pm, and the museum closed at 5pm, so I only visited three exhibition halls. One was about the development of Wuqiao acrobatics in Hebei, one was about the ancient Tea Horse Road, and one was about modern oil painting and calligraphy. Most of the exhibits in these three exhibition halls were from other museums in China.

If you like the quiet feeling of the museum, you can spend a whole day there. You may even see a group of white pigeons at the entrance. You can get free tickets with your ID card.

Attached is a collection information map

This is my favorite museum in China. Although there are not many exhibits and it seems a bit empty, there are many rare exhibits, especially my favorite Chinese cultural relic: the Jade Clothes with Gold Threads of Liu Sheng, King Jing of Zhongshan. Although China has unearthed many jade clothes of various types, only this one is the most exquisite, the most complete and the best preserved, perfectly showing Liu Sheng's tall figure and slightly protruding belly:) It was really shocking to stand in front of it, and I didn't want to leave for a long time. In addition to the Jade Clothes with Gold Threads, a large number of famous cultural relics were unearthed from the Mancheng Han Tomb, such as the Changxin Palace Lantern, which is also a national treasure. In addition, the ancient Zhongshan Kingdom has exquisite exhibits with unique shapes, especially a gilded tiger eating sheep, and a national treasure-level table (you can see that the dragon on this table is a Western-style evil dragon). In addition, my favorite are the two Tang-style reliefs in the Quyang Stone Sculpture Exhibition Hall. In short, this is the most worthwhile museum in China.

Hebei Provincial Museum is located in the most prosperous city center of Shijiazhuang, with three floors and two north and south floors. The ten treasures of the museum are the openwork copper door knocker with dragon and phoenix pattern unearthed from Xiadu of Yan State in the Warring States Period, the large copper tripod with iron feet of Zhongshan King in the Warring States Period, the gold and silver inlaid four dragons and four phoenixes of Zhongshan State in the Warring States Period, the inlaid gold and silver tiger devouring deer screen seat of Zhongshan State in the Warring States Period, the gold thread jade clothing of Liu Sheng of the Western Han Dynasty, the Changxin Palace lantern of the Western Han Dynasty, the inlaid gold Boshan furnace of the Western Han Dynasty, the murals of the tomb passage of Emperor Wenxuan of Northern Qi Gao Yang's tomb, the relief of the five dynasties white stone painted Sanyue picture, and the blue and white openwork carved red and blue glaze flower jar. Generally speaking, the lines and shapes of the cultural relics unearthed in the land of Yan and Zhao are relatively rough, except for the treasures of the museum, which are very different from those of Anhui Museum. Other bronzes, jades, and pre-Qin currencies are not as exquisite as the contemporary cultural relics of Anhui Museum, while porcelains are better than those of Anhui. Gold and silver wares have characteristics very different from those of Anhui. The jade pendants and jade bi from the Zhou Dynasty and the bronze wares from the Shang Dynasty are not as exquisite as those in the Hefei Cultural Relics Management Office. However, if you want to learn about the ancient Yanzhao cultural relics, this is still one of the most worthwhile museums to visit.

I loved it and spent more than 2 hours in it.

It took seven hours to appreciate Zhongshan Kingdom, Mancheng Han Tombs, Hebei porcelain, Northern Dynasty murals, Quyang Buddha statues, Hebei Bangzi and animal specimens. Zhongshan Kingdom was established by ethnic minorities from the north of Shaanxi. Their bronze ware level is amazing, just like the mechanical level of Germany.

It consists of two parts, the old and the new. The southern area is the new area, where the main exhibition halls are concentrated, with a total of three floors. The northern area is the old exhibition area. It is worth a visit, and you can fully understand the history of the ancient Yanzhao State. Hebei's history is long.

The collections of Hebei Provincial Museum are very exquisite, and the three treasures of the museum are unparalleled

There are a lot of pigeons in the museum square, you can feed them at will. It is closed on Mondays and holidays. The porcelain is very beautiful.

Highlights: Han tomb (Liu Sheng and his wife), Zhongshan tomb display. The exhibition is very impressive because it is well preserved. The museum is relatively new and in good condition. It is good at using digital technology, which is second to none among the museums I have visited.

Maybe it’s a design problem, it’s a little inconvenient to walk.

There are more treasures here, and you can see the golden jade clothes.

Highly recommended, it is recommended to arrange more than half a day to watch it slowly. The volunteers will take the initiative to explain. I met the guides in the three exhibition halls. It was a very pleasant experience. The land of Yanzhao is indeed a cultural province. The Changxin Palace Lantern and the Golden Jade Clothes are the top priorities.

The Provincial Museum and the Provincial Library are located across the street from each other. The colonnade structure of the exterior is very similar to the architectural style of the Great Hall of the People in Beijing. As it is newly built, it looks quite magnificent.

I have searched Baidu for a long time to find out the difference between a museum and a museum, but I still don't understand it. However, the Hebei Provincial Museum itself advertises that it has been upgraded from a museum to a museum. Could it be true, as netizens joked, that the title of dean sounds better than that of curator?

You won't know until you see it, and you'll be shocked when you see it. The museum's treasures are indeed of great origin. They are mainly the "Changxin" palace lantern, Liu Sheng's gold-thread jade suit, and the inlaid gold Boshan furnace unearthed from the Mancheng Han Tomb of Liu Sheng in the Western Han Dynasty; the openwork dragon and phoenix pattern copper door knocker, the large bronze tripod with iron feet of the King of Zhongshan, the inlaid gold and silver four-dragon and four-phoenix pattern seat, and the inlaid gold and silver tiger devouring deer screen seat unearthed from the ancient Zhongshan Kingdom in the Warring States Period; as well as the murals on the tomb passage of Emperor Wenxuan of the Northern Qi Dynasty, Gao Yang's tomb, the Five Dynasties white stone painted Sanyue relief, and the Yuan Dynasty blue and white openwork red and blue glazed flower jar.

Due to time constraints, we focused on the exhibitions of the Mancheng Han Tombs and the ancient Zhongshan Kingdom, and benefited a lot from them.

The Hebei Museum is in a great location, surrounded by the Hebei Science and Technology Museum and the Hebei Library. The museum has two buildings, north and south, and many exhibition halls. It is recommended to visit the museum at 9 am, otherwise you won't be able to see everything if you look closely.

The museum staff is very friendly, with many volunteers who are highly skilled and patient.

The museum has a rich collection, including Zhongshan Kingdom, the tomb of Liu Sheng of the Manchu and Han dynasties, Shangzhou bronzes, and fine porcelains, all of which are fine cultural relics.

It's worth coming again. And you can go to the library to read books (the library is also closed on Mondays and closes at 7pm)

Hebei Museum is no less than the museums in Shaanxi, Gansu and Hunan. It was expanded and renovated in 2013. The interior decoration is similar to that of the National Museum. There are scheduled explanations every day. It displays precious cultural relics from the Yanzhao, Zhongshan Ancient Kingdom, Western Han Dynasty, Wei, Jin, Southern and Northern Dynasties, Ming and Qing Dynasties. The museum is dominated by the first and most complete gold-thread jade burial suit of King Jing of Zhongshan in the Western Han Dynasty. It is a must-see.

I took a train from Beijing and went there in the morning and came back in the evening. I finally saw the Changxin Palace Lantern, Boshan Furnace, Vermillion Bird Ring Cup, Gilded Silver and Copper Pot, etc. I walked around for more than 5 hours and still hadn't seen everything. When I went out, it was 38 degrees outside~~~
