Qixing Lake Wetland Park

Qixing Lake is a key tourist attraction in Saihanba National Forest Park, located in the north of the mechanical forest farm, and is known locally as Huopaozi. The park is surrounded by green mountains and trees. As early as the reign of Emperor Kangxi, it was recorded that it was originally seven small lakes, like the Big Dipper in the sky, hence the name. The wetland park is now integrated, with a large area of water grass beach covered with wild flowers. Although it is a floating layer, its bottom layer is still lake water, and the lake surface is a connected flowing whole.

In order to protect the naturalness of the lake, a wooden floating bridge was built and wooden houses were constructed on it.

Qixing Lake Wetland Park is located in Saihanba Forest Farm, a national 5A-level tourist attraction. In the 1 million square meters of wetland surrounded by mountains, there are seven natural lakes of varying sizes and shapes. Looking down from the air, they look like the Big Dipper in the sky, hence the name Qixing Lake. The newly built park has nearly 5,000 meters of wooden plank roads, 8 viewing platforms, 2 cruise ship docks, and 4 wooden bridges.

Arriving at Mulan Paddock, Qixing Lake is the most beautiful wetland park I feel. The temperature (17℃) is pleasant, the negative oxygen ions are high, and PM2.5=3 wow.

It is free, well-built, and covers health services, science and education. It is a relatively mature scenic spot in Saihanba and is highly recommended.

In the lake, there are several arch bridges and pavilions. In the distance, there are two wooden windmills. There are rows of small wooden houses on the right side of the entrance.

The lake is very big, and the birch trees on the edge have been dyed yellow by the autumn wind, and the hillside in the distance is also colorful in autumn. The scenery at this time is beautiful and beautiful, not inferior to the scenery of Wulanbutong grassland. Although it is a little smaller, it is unique, especially when the water and grass merge into the autumn colors of the woods on the hillside in the distance, it is even more fascinating. We strolled on the winding wooden plank road and admired the wind-blown folds of the water, the lush golden water grass, the square pavilion, the arch bridge, the windmill, the cabin, and the tourists dressed in red and green, making the Qixing Lake surrounded by mountains and forests more colorful and charming!

I went there at the end of August and the scenery was nice, but I still think it was not the best time to go!

The skin hurts when you expose your arms to the sun. It was 29 degrees at noon and 14 degrees at night. I got goose bumps all over my body as soon as I got off the car. I caught a cold at night. The food in the restaurants here is more expensive. I saw a restaurant on Dianping.com and a plate of pie costs 69. Also, there are many beef jerky sellers on the street. Friends who have been here said that we should not be greedy for cheapness. We bought 85 per pound, and it tasted great.

The Beijing-Chengde Expressway was a bit congested, so we got off the expressway and found a place with nice scenery along the way to set up a stove and grill skewers. We bought tickets, a combined ticket of 130 yuan each, and I paid 900 yuan for 6 and a half tickets, but they only gave me five tickets. It was raining and my companions were competing with each other to buy tickets, so I didn't realize that I was wrong. Later, I found out that it was wrong, and the other party didn't admit it. I had to buy two more tickets, one big and one small, which was very depressing. So don't rush to do anything. While waiting for Qixing Lake, the rain was still drizzling, sometimes heavy and sometimes light. I bought a raincoat on the side and continued to stroll, but soon my shoes were soaked, so I had to return to the hotel. Fortunately, the weather was still good the next day, and I continued to stroll around. I saw green everywhere and felt that the air was fresher. The white clouds reflected in the water were beautiful. Because we went there on the Dragon Boat Festival, the flowers had not yet fully bloomed, and it was quite cold after the rain!

The name is a bit awkward, but when you walk into the wetland park, you will see grass half a person tall, windmills, wooden houses, and plank roads. It feels pretty good.

I went to Saihanba once in July 2009.

At that time, the tickets for Saihan Pagoda and other man-made attractions were also sold. It was rainy and visibility was poor, so we gave up climbing the pagoda and went straight to Qixing Lake and Jinlian Yingri.

The Qixing Lake and Jinlian Yingri scenic areas are nice, with beautiful scenery and colorful colors. They do not require much physical strength and there are accommodation facilities nearby, making them suitable for family leisure trips.

Later, we crossed Saihanba and went to Hongshan Military Horse Farm for two days, and on the way back we visited the Mechanical Forest Farm.

Climb up to the Kangxi Dianjiangtai and look around to see the green forest area; listen carefully to hear the sound of pine waves. It is so beautiful!

Unfortunately, the weather was bad and the road to Dianjiangtai was terrible, with potholes of all sizes and shapes. If your hands were a little wet, even an SUV would have to bottom out.

On the last day, on the way to Chengde, we went to Saihanba Forest Park. The ticket here is 150. The most famous are Seven Star Lake and Moon Lake. We only visited Seven Star Lake and not Moon Lake because the ticket was expired. The ticket is valid for three days, but if you want to go back to Lanbutong after playing, you have to buy another ticket. Seven Star Lake is not bad. It is built on a swamp. There are seven lakes in total, like seven buckets and seven stars, hence the name.

The Seven-Star Lake is named because it looks like seven shining stars scattered in the mountains when viewed from a high altitude. It is one of the most beautiful scenic spots in Saihanba, especially its autumn colors, which are even more intoxicating. Walking along the plank road to the lakeside, there are lush water plants nearby, which are within reach; in the distance, there are endless white birch and pine forests, all golden, which together with the blue water and blue sky form a magnificent picture. However, I have to complain about the public services here, especially the parking management. Because there are so many tourists visiting this scenic spot, most of them are self-driving tours, so the two small parking lots here are far from meeting the parking needs, and there are no parking management personnel, which causes many tourists to park their cars on the roadside at will, causing traffic congestion.

I think Qixing Lake is the most beautiful place in the entire Saihanba National Forest Park. You can walk around the lake along the wooden plank road. No matter which angle you look at it, it is like a painting. The lake is so peaceful that sometimes it makes people feel that the scenery in front of them is a little unreal. I would also like to remind you that you must walk on the wooden plank road when visiting. I saw some tourists jumping off the plank road to get a good angle, but they found that there were actually deep swamps around them. Maybe it is because of this that this beautiful scenery has not been destroyed.

Saihanba is a well-known park with complete supporting facilities, good commercial development and management. However, it has too many artificial traces and has lost its natural style. During the National Day holiday, two-thirds of the area was closed to tourists. I don't know why.

It's not a big park, but the scenery is really beautiful. I'm tired of the smog in the city. I feel great when I come to a place where I can see the blue sky.

We went there in October and it was already very cold. It would be better to go in summer if possible.
