At the Ice and Snow World, you can enjoy the world's highest, longest, and largest ice and snow landscape; and each session will have a new theme.
There are world-renowned buildings, classic cartoon characters, and European-style song and dance performances.
There are various ice sports in the park. When the colorful lights turn on at night, it is like being in a fairy tale world of ice lanterns.
Due to its special nature, it is only open from December to February in winter.

This was my first trip to Harbin. By chance, I encountered the 20th anniversary celebration of the Ice and Snow World this year. This weekend was the last opening time, and it would close on Sunday evening, February 17. While I was extremely grateful, I was also completely immersed in the wonders of the Ice and Snow World and the dreamy light and shadow.
At the Ice and Snow World, you can admire the world's tallest, longest, and largest ice and snow landscape. There are ice sculptures of famous domestic and international buildings, as well as cartoon-shaped ice sculptures in a variety of poses. At night, when the colorful lights around the ice sculptures turn on, it's like being in a bizarre fairytale world.

What trip to Harbin is complete without visiting the Harbin Ice and Snow World? We recommend visiting in the afternoon to enjoy the crystal-clear ice sculptures during the day and their dazzling brilliance at night. It's also less crowded, making for a truly enjoyable experience. Almost all attractions at the Harbin Ice and Snow World are free, with slides of all sizes available to suit all tastes. Dining is also convenient within the park, with a variety of snacks to keep those shivering. As for food prices, they're understandably different inside the park than outside.

[Ticket]: Purchase through an app, 309 yuan/person.
[Map]: You can get a paper map after scanning the QR code to enter the park, or you can scan the QR code to get an electronic map.
【Recommended items】: Big slide, ice show, snow ring.
Everyone who has been to the big slide and the ice show has praised them highly, so there are a lot of people queuing up. If you want to play any of them, it is recommended to go as early as possible after the park opens at 11 o'clock, and take precautions against the cold (we stayed there for three hours with hot packs stuck all over our bodies, which was really the limit).
I went there at three in the afternoon, and the Spring Festival holiday had already passed, but the queue for the big slide had already stretched for more than two hours, so I had no choice but to give up.
If you just want to see the ice lanterns, it is recommended to enter after 5 o'clock.

As a Harbin native, I've never been to the Ice and Snow World. When I was little, there were ice sculptures everywhere in Harbin, so buying a ticket to see them wasn't even worth it. As an adult, I've become even more resistant to experiences like enduring the cold and huddling with tourists. So, whenever I go to the Ice and Snow World, I park in the parking lot and fly my drone in to see what's different about the sculptures this year. Many people (including me) like to complain about the high ticket price of 300 yuan for the Ice and Snow World, which I've always felt is a rip-off. But in recent years, with global warming, Harbin's truly cold weather has become increasingly rare, and the ice sculptures' shelf life is shrinking. After all, the costs are there, and scenic spots still have to make money. It's understandable. If you haven't seen the ice sculptures, you should go and see them; they're truly impressive, and I think they're even more charming during the day. The nighttime lights remind me of the colorful monkeys stealing peaches and gods guiding the way in caves everywhere.
Also, be aware that as you pull into the parking lot, people will come up to you from all directions trying to sell you tickets, gloves, seat cushions, and more. Even if it's annoying, be careful not to speed and knock them over. It's recommended to buy tickets through legitimate channels. If you don't have gloves or seat cushions, you can buy them; they're not cheap in the scenic area. It's really cold inside, after all, but be sure to bargain; you'll only use these items once.
The ice and snow world during the day gives a feeling of Winterfell in Game of Thrones, which is very shocking. Put on a mink coat, avoid the crowd and take photos with these buildings, and you will be possessed by Arya or Sansa in minutes.

First, a round of friendly reminders:
①Student tickets for the Ice and Snow World are strictly reviewed and both student ID and ID card must be prepared.
② In Harbin, many taxi drivers and travel agencies offer one-day tours to the Ice and Snow World. Try not to participate. In addition to the limited time for play, there are also fake projects. Getting cheated will have an impact on your trip.
③ Prepare a power bank and camera. At this outdoor temperature, the phone will consume a lot of power and will be frozen. You can choose to use a SLR camera for taking pictures.
④ Keep warm and put a heat pack on the soles of your feet, otherwise you will become another ice sculpture in the ice and snow world.
In the Ice and Snow World, you can take photos with buildings from all over the world
When we were halfway through the tour, snowflakes started falling from the sky, which added infinite artistic conception to this ice and snow tour.
People queue up under the ice slide at the Ice and Snow World
The Ice and Snow World has collaborated with King of Glory to simulate the Canyon of Kings with snow and ice sculptures. Many King of Glory fans will take a look around here.

I finally took advantage of the Lunar New Year holiday to visit the renowned Harbin Ice and Snow World with my mom. Tickets are normally 300 yuan per person. Public transportation is readily available, costing only one or two yuan. The advantage of arriving early is that you don't have to wait in line for the big slide. We arrived late and waited for two and a half hours, only to complete a full slide in the final thirty seconds. The most touching part was the Harbin Ice Show. I'd looked up guides online, and they all said it was worth seeing. I didn't know the details until I saw it, but it was more of an acrobatic performance. The troupe was probably Russian. There were figure skaters, dancers, trampoline gymnastics, and clowns. How should I put it? I was moved to tears. The performers worked so hard, it was such a challenge. I'm not sure how much they earn for their profession, but I think it's definitely not that high, considering the hard work they put in. I don't know the point of this kind of performance. Is it just for the audience's enjoyment? Or is it just a way of pushing the limits of human endurance and challenging the impossible? Personally, as a working person with a low level of ideological awareness, I really don't understand the significance of acrobatics. Some actors may truly love their profession, but I think it's too dangerous and lacks much practical significance, aside from providing entertainment for the audience. It's truly too dangerous. The show was wonderful, and it's certainly worth seeing for those interested. After all, this profession and industry is based on supply and demand, and it won't be affected by a few individuals not supporting sound. Some actors also need this job that's right for them. Having said all that nonsense, all I can do is clap my hands vigorously at the right times. I hope they hear my applause, even though I know they can't. I'm very grateful to the cast and crew. I'm deeply moved. Finally, I forgot to mention that there's a line for the ice show; we waited for an hour and a half. It was a freezing cold day! The ticket price seemed expensive at first, but seeing such large ice sculptures and the performance was totally worth it.

After visiting the church, I quickly got dressed and prepared for the Ice and Snow World. Heated insoles, two pairs of thick socks, two heat pads on my chest and back, five tops, and three bottoms—I felt like I was on fire. The Ice and Snow World is said to be -30 degrees Celsius, but I was lucky enough to have no wind that day, so I didn't feel cold even with all my layers.
Ice and Snow World official website: ***
Tickets: Adult tickets are RMB 330 (immediately) / RMB 310 (must be purchased three hours in advance). Children under 1.2 meters and seniors over 70 years old are free of charge.
Purchase channel: WeChat official account or Tmall flagship store
Opening hours:
11:00-21:30, 16:00-22:00 (landscape lighting switching time) The park is officially open from early January to the end of February each year.
Transportation:
(1) In Harbin, take bus No. 13, No. 29, No. 88, No. 119, No. 125, No. 126, or No. 213 to the Ice and Snow World.
(2) Take a taxi from Central Street in Harbin, 20-30 yuan.
(3) There is a special bus service available at the intersection of Youyi Road in Harbin.
You can enter the park by swiping your ID card. Everything inside is free except the horse-drawn sleigh and the train. However, you have to queue up for everything. Even riding a small slide requires a 20-minute queue. I recommend that you come as soon as the park opens at noon and play until 4 pm. You can take pictures of the lights and leave. That is the most efficient way and avoids the crowds and the cold at night.

After crossing the river, we got ashore and took an express bus directly to the Ice and Snow World. Tickets were purchased at the ticket hall on the left. They were 330 yuan per person, or 310 yuan if purchased online three hours in advance. Student IDs are only valid for those under 24. I played the small, queue-free slide several times. I admired the vast array of candied gourds, including the chili candied gourds. Did you find them? The glucose gourds are Lao Han's favorite. The one I tried today was truly delicious. The melting flesh felt like grape juice exploding in my mouth. I also performed the Douyin bunny dance, which I'd been looking forward to the most. Since it was the 28th day of the 12th lunar month, and Spring Festival was approaching, there were very few visitors, so I didn't quite get the Douyin effect, but I still had a blast. A small aside: I asked the chef to take a video of me, but he only took a photo, missing the chance to share it in a video. Although he was angry, he was still Doraemon, the one who would strive to fulfill all my wishes. For the first half of the ride, before 8:40 PM, I only played the four-person slide on the slideway, the single-person slide on the ice sculpture, the skating rink, and the Dream Stage. I took a few photos here and there. I didn't plan my time well and should have arrived earlier in the afternoon. The entire ride was so tight, I felt a bit disappointed. In summary, for large-scale attractions like these, you must know what you want to do in advance and plan your time accordingly. The checked luggage required us to pick it up at 8:40 PM, so I asked the staff to let me go out and pick it up. After 8:40 PM, I carried my luggage with me. Back home, I went ice biking and downhill skiing.

The Ice and Snow World is not far from the outskirts of Harbin. It is almost there after crossing a bridge. The lights along the whole road are very beautiful. I have only seen pictures before, but I was still shocked when I saw it with my own eyes.
Key Points: It's really cold inside the Ice and Snow World! Be sure to dress warmly and use various heat packs. Be careful with the heat packs in your shoes; they can break if you walk around too much, and they'll prick your feet. Keep them on your clothes, pants, and phone. There are a lot of fun attractions inside, but I didn't go because of my white down jacket. Lulu and the others did, hahahaha. The slide is definitely worth recommending.

A word of warning: if you take an illegal taxi from downtown, they'll quote you around 30 yuan. Then, they'll ask if you've bought a ticket to the Ice and Snow World. They've partnered with travel agencies for special fares and will offer you free rides there and back. They'll also tell you there's no bus or taxi service at the park at night... Don't buy them! You're paying for what you get. Buying your ticket on-site is definitely cheaper. As for getting back home at night, the government has arranged a bus line at the entrance to the Ice and Snow World, which only takes one yuan back to Central Street. It's a good idea, with police patrolling, so scammers are a bit cautious, but caution is advised. I can't wait to get in! The ice sculptures feature a mix of Russian, Chinese, and European styles, using ice blocks to create a magnificent spectacle resembling world-famous buildings. I think the student ticket price is not expensive at all. The construction workers must have worked very hard in the icy conditions. The eight-meter-tall ice sculpture depicts an antelope riding a cloud, followed by a ferocious stone leopard. The entire mountaintop belongs to our park. It gradually gets dark at 4:30 in the afternoon, and the lights on the ice sculptures begin to light up.
It’s okay to be cold, but you must act cool.
Three southerners who died of cold in a foreign land,
As night falls and the lights come on, we journey into the romantic Snow Town, a beautiful place reaching into the clouds. There's even a statue of Buddha on top of the snow sculptures. If the surrounding fog were thicker, you'd think you were in the Sky Palace. Can you make out any of the buildings inside? I only recognize a few. There's the pagoda of Li Jing, the Heavenly King of the Pagoda, and the ancient Roman Colosseum.
The horsemen in the snowy village seemed to have returned to the time of Genghis Khan, setting out on the snowy road, drinking a cup of wine and traveling a thousand miles.
Freezing to the bone!! The 20th anniversary of the Great World felt a bit like the opening credits of a foreign film. So, off we went, goodbye Ice and Snow World. If I come back next time, I'll definitely bring my loved ones! It was already past 8pm when we left. There was a large bus stop at the entrance to the Ice and Snow World, with over a dozen buses on standby, ready to take visitors back to Central Avenue. It was very convenient, and there was no need to hail a taxi.

Famous check-in spots in Northeast China
Even though the ticket is expensive and it's cold, I still have to go.
You will be amazed by the pinnacle of ice and snow art
It is recommended to prepare a small skateboard in advance, and gloves, scarves and hats are essential. Don't forget to put on a hot pack. Don't get stuck on the big slide, the small slide is also very red and there are few people.
The fourth trip to the Northeast Silver was trembling

1. There are many ice and snow slides in the scenic area. You need skateboards. They are sold at the entrance for 10 yuan each. I bargained and bought two for 15 yuan. You don't have to throw them away after playing. There will be a skateboard recycling station at the entrance of the scenic area for 1 yuan each.
2. Food in the scenic area is relatively expensive, so it is recommended that you bring some dry food with you and a thermos cup with some brown sugar ginger tea to warm your body.
3. Be sure to wear more clothes and keep warm. It is very cold to be surrounded by ice sculptures for a long time. The driver said that the temperature can be as low as minus 40 degrees Celsius, especially at night, when it will be even colder.
4. Pay attention to the tour time and the last bus, otherwise it will be inconvenient to return to the city at night.
We arrived around 4 p.m., and the entrance was already crowded. I felt like I'd arrived in the Land of Snow, with towering ice sculptures and animals like snow foxes, penguins, and Arctic wolves. There were also ice sculptures by contestants from around the world, each a work of art.
Finally, night fell, and the lights gradually came on. This vast expanse of snow suddenly burst into color, creating a completely different scene from the daytime. If the daytime is a cold snow country, the night is a dreamy snow city. The place is brightly lit and colorful, resembling a dreamy castle. Although it was cold, I was captivated by the beauty. There were carnivals, fireworks, evening parties, slides, and other entertainment activities. We tried the slides and skiing, which were truly exciting.

Harbin Ice and Snow World is a landmark of Harbin, firmly supporting half of Harbin's economy. Of course, its prices are also very high, 300 yuan for adults and 200 yuan for children. Because of its great reputation, it has also spawned many scalpers, who work in various industries such as hotels, restaurants, taxi drivers, and small vendors. The prices range from 220 to 300 yuan.
The ticket hall of the Ice and Snow World can accommodate a thousand people. When we arrived, the hall was already crowded. The whole hall was noisy and lively.
After passing through the security gate, the scene was completely different. There was no crowding, no noise, only huge ice sculptures. Visitors looked as small as ants in front of them. The magnificent ice sculptures were jaw-dropping. The Ice City really lived up to its reputation.
Most of the ice sculptures are based on famous landmarks around the world, and they are incredibly intricately crafted. With the addition of colorful lights, they create a unique and captivating atmosphere. Therefore, visiting the Ice and Snow World at night is the best time to experience it!
My first time riding a horse-drawn sleigh at the Great World was a three-minute circuit, and it was over just as I was getting started. It was definitely a bit short. At 50 yuan per person, it was a bit pricey, but it was my first time, so it was a novelty. Later in the trip, we took another horse-drawn sleigh ride, which was longer and took us through the mountains. It was truly exhilarating!
It has been 20 years since the Ice and Snow World was established in 1999. In his early twenties, he has created a magnificent dream kingdom of ice and snow for people from all over the world. Here, I can only admire it!

The night view is the best, and when the colorful lights shine, it feels like a fairytale world. All the ice activities are free, and the Aurora Mountain Sports Field is the most exciting. Since most people arrive after dark, the advantage of arriving early is that you can skip the lines and enjoy activities like the Aurora Mountain Big Slide.
There are also snow foxes inside, but you have to pay 30/person to hold them and take photos. But the baby snow foxes are really cute, chubby and well-behaved.

Unique geographical environment
It is the most distinctive tourist attraction in northern China.
The opening hours are from mid-December to the end of February or early March of the following year.
The ticket price is 330 yuan. It will be cheaper if you book online. Locals heard that it only costs 180?
Transportation: There is a direct bus to the airport. We took the cable car and then took a short shuttle bus. Didi is also very convenient.
The park is not very big and an hour is enough to visit (excluding rides and performances). Food and beverages are available in the park.
The guide map is only posted on the wall at the entrance to the park, and no paper version is distributed to everyone.
Opening hours: 11:00-21:30. The daytime has its advantages, such as fewer queues for rides, and the night has its beauty, such as the dazzling lights.
Taking all factors into consideration, it is best to go around 4 pm so that you can see both the white ice sculptures and the gorgeous lights.
In addition to the various beautiful ice sculptures, the most attractive thing is the recreational facilities inside, such as ice bumper cars, ice sleds, slides, etc., which usually require a long queue.
Indoor performances also require queuing. Fortunately, there is LED live broadcast outdoors, although there is no intuitive shock.
The temperature was not low when we went there. I put a warm baby on my iPhone and wrapped myself tightly so I didn't feel cold. There is a shuttle bus back to the city center (Central Street) after leaving the park. The fare is 5 yuan per person
The ticket price is really expensive and not worth it.

There hasn't been much snow in northern China this year, so the crunching sensation of snow is truly amazing! This year marks the 20th anniversary of the Ice and Snow World, so why not come early?
On the super famous Dream Stage, I saw the super famous bunny dance and encouraged my mom to try it, but she couldn’t bear to watch it!
One of the two most famous slides, it was too late and there were so many people!

This was a rather bad experience. From the moment I got off the bus, there were a lot of people who looked like they were working underground selling skateboard heating insoles and knee pads. After a lot of effort, I finally managed to push them away but they kept coming back in waves to sell tickets.
Shenzhen residents can buy discounted tickets for 200 yuan. The ticket seller was quite impatient when I went to the ticket window. I asked if Shenzhen residents could buy discounted tickets, but he swiped my ID card without even looking at it and said 330. Then I asked if Shenzhen residents could buy discounted tickets. He got impatient and asked, "Are all of them allowed to buy discounted tickets? Why did you give me our ID card just now?"
I had to push past a group of tour guides before I could get in.
My child wanted to play on the slide, but the double, triple, and quad slides weren't allowed. My elderly husband asked the staff where they could find one for children. They yelled, "You can't play on that! Do you understand? Go over there!" She's already old and has poor hearing. What can she do to you if she's a little impatient? You paid money to come in and you're supposed to be treated like a superior!
The attitude was not very good during several subsequent interrogations.
The scenery is quite beautiful during the day, after all, the ice and snow sculptures are not everywhere. At night, when the lights are on, it looks quite dull. However, as a landmark attraction, such service is really disgusting. I came here happily but left disappointed. It is not worth it to come again after spending money once.

The entrance is worth the price of admission, it is magnificent and imposing. Because there are so many people, it takes almost a whole day to spend time there. During the day, you can queue up to play the slide and watch the 6D movie (one project takes 2 hours to queue up), and at night you can see the night view.
The Ice and Snow World is truly amazing. They even built castles. We waited in line for over an hour to see a 6D movie, which was essentially a Harbin tourism promotional video. The visual experience was fantastic, and they actually sprayed some artificial snow.

The park should open at 11:00 AM. Get there early, ideally around 12:00 PM. First, try the big slide—it's super exciting! (We entered at 2:00 PM and waited in line until almost 4:00 PM, so I recommend going early.) Then, try some other attractions. Afterward, relax at a KFC or something. Then, wait for the spectacular night view.

Tickets for the Ice and Snow World are cheaper online, but you need to book a day in advance. You should definitely dress warmly for the Ice and Snow World; it's surrounded by ice, and even after two hours of fun, it's still pretty cold. Oh, and by the way, there are two different ticket prices for the Ice and Snow World: before 2:00 PM and after. I recommend going after 4:00 PM, as the lights won't be on and the view won't be as stunning. The castles are truly stunning under the colorful lights. After seeing them all, I felt the 330 yuan ticket was well worth it.
At the entrance to the Ice and Snow World, they sell disposable plastic skis for 10 yuan. These are for riding on small ice skating tracks, so if you want to try them, you can buy them. I'd rather try the snow tubing. It's thrilling. Four people must sit on a tubing, and you push it up, then slide down with the help of staff. It's free.

The Ice and Snow World is a must-see attraction for winter tourists in Harbin. This year marks its 20th anniversary. The park features a variety of large-scale ice and snow art masterpieces and various ice and snow entertainment projects, showcasing the charm of ice and snow tourism in Harbin, the Ice City.
The park opens softly around December 25th each year and officially opens on January 5th of the following year, lasting January and February. Open daily from 11:00 AM to 9:30 PM. The earlier you arrive, the better. The 300-meter-long slide, especially, can have long queues of two to three hours. The "Harry Potter" ice show and 6D motion cinema are also popular attractions. Peak admission is after 2 PM, and the ice lanterns and nightscape are truly stunning.

The Ice and Snow World has a plethora of snow activities and ice sculptures, completely satisfying my fascination with ice and snow. We arrived shortly after opening and, while the crowds were minimal, we tried all the fun slides. It was a truly satisfying experience. The park lights up at 4 p.m., so if you just want to see the ice lanterns, you can come back after that. Also, don't trust the taxi drivers or snow gear vendors at the entrance; they're out to rip you off. You don't even need to bring your own gear! Just go to the ticket office and buy a package ticket that includes all the rides. The staff are incredibly helpful and understanding, and I give them a thumbs up!

Highly recommended. A must-see in Harbin. A bit pricey, but worth it. Locals say an hour is enough, but we spent a full four hours watching the show and strolling around, not even waiting in line for the big slide. 4pm is the best time to go in, as it gets dark around 5pm and the lights are super beautiful. There are only three performances a day, performed by a Russian art troupe, and they're fantastic. There are both snow and ice sculptures, which are spectacular and beautiful.

We booked a round-trip car and entrance fee on China-TravelNote for 330 yuan per person. But the experience wasn't very good. We left over half an hour late, so we got back quite late as well. Adorable snow foxes. Holding them for photos cost 30 yuan. But the driver was a bit rude. He immediately snatched the fox back and put it in someone else's hands after the photo was taken. Then he moved on to the next person. I felt a little sorry for the fox. So commercialized... Trista said the fox was so docile in my arms, so comfortable. I hope you can be released into the wild someday. After some effort, we finally bought a tow cart for the child. Finally, Mom and Dad are hands-free. We just have to tow it. But the child always asks Mom to pull, which is frustrating. Mom works the hardest. Later, Mom said, "Although I'm tired, seeing the smile on Julian's face, I'll still pull the cart for him." There are all sorts of beautiful snow structures. Because the day we went, there were so many people and lines everywhere. I only got to play on the slide. After that, I basically just looked around, feasting my eyes. The ruins are probably from the Colosseum. I always thought it was the most beautiful of all the sculptures...

The Ice and Snow World not only offers an immersive ice and snow experience, but also hosts a number of international ice sculpture competitions. The recently concluded 8th China Harbin International Combined Ice Sculpture Competition is now open for visitors from around the world to admire.
The 33rd China Harbin International Ice Sculpture Competition, a major global platform for ice and snow cultural exchange, will also begin its fierce competition at the Ice and Snow World Park on January 6th. The park welcomes all visitors to experience the unforgettable creation of ice sculptures. These two international ice sculpture competitions, held annually at the Ice and Snow World Park, have attracted worldwide attention to China's ice and snow culture.
Harbin Ice and Snow World, a world-first ice and snow tourism project, showcases Harbin's ice and snow culture and the charm of ice and snow tourism with its grand scale, extensive ice and snow art landscapes, and comprehensive ice and snow entertainment programs. Following the opening ceremony, a series of exciting events will also begin within the Ice and Snow World, including the Ice and Snow Animation Festival and the Ice and Snow Photography Competition. We welcome all visitors to Harbin to experience a unique and exceptional value at this internationally acclaimed ice and snow extravaganza!

Honestly, this is a must-see attraction in Harbin! Dress warmly; the more you move around, the warmer you'll stay. We went in the afternoon, planning to play around and familiarize ourselves with the terrain before finally enjoying the illuminated scenery at night. It's absolutely stunning! Just a reminder: always bring a power bank with you and keep your phone warm, or it'll quickly run out of power! And be sure to take plenty of photos while you're freshly charged. I also recommend the big slide; get there early to queue; I waited nearly two and a half hours. Finally, you can get a panoramic view from the summit, which is stunning!

Ice and Snow World, Cold & Beautiful
On the first day of the New Year holiday, I just arrived in Harbin and chose to go to Harbin Ice and Snow University.
The weather in this world is not very cold, but when you enter the ice and snow world, you can feel the temperature drop suddenly!
There are many direct buses to Central Street, which take about 30 minutes. The last bus back is at 9:30 pm. Generally, more than two hours of play are enough (if you don't queue for long slides)
People generally pay a lot of attention to what they wear, but it's worth noting that it's really cold inside! I wore warm pants, thick leggings, padded jeans, and tweed pants, and my lower body wasn't cold at all. A thick sweater and cotton jacket were fine on top, but be sure to protect your feet, as they get cold easily! So be sure to bring plenty of heat packs—in your pockets, on your phone, and on your feet!

The iconic Ice City Harbin, originally built for the millennium, celebrated its 20th anniversary in 2018. I visited on December 29th. Perhaps due to the lack of snow this year, the entire scenic area, including the snow sculptures, was not yet complete. The longest slide had long lines of over two hours, but this year, there was a Meituan cloud queue app that allowed people to queue up first. As a local, I didn't find it particularly impressive, but some outsiders might find it quite spectacular. Tickets are quite expensive: 330 yuan for adults, 310 yuan online, and must be purchased two hours in advance. Student tickets are 200 yuan, but regulations are very strict. Local residents pay 200 yuan with ID. The scenic area offers cultural and creative shops, including KFC, Pizza Hut, and Manbao Wonton. Tanghulu (candied haws) are a reasonable 10 yuan (starting from 10-20 yuan on Central Street), and a bowl of instant noodles is 5 yuan, making it a very reasonable price. The scenic area is particularly cold at night, so be sure to dress warmly, especially your hands and feet. Regarding camera and phone battery life, it's recommended to use a heat shield on your phone and buy a cold-weather case for your camera, as batteries can die if you're freezing. It's recommended to go around 3:00 PM so you can see the snow sculptures during the day and watch the sunset. The lights will turn on around 4:00-5:00 PM when the night begins.

The Ice City is your premier destination for winter tourism, where the essence of ice and snow can be found at the Ice and Snow World! Every winter, visitors from all over the world travel thousands of miles to the Ice and Snow World to experience a magical ice and snow extravaganza. Over two decades of accumulated experience, the city has created over 100 ice and snow attractions, over 30 interactive entertainment projects, and hundreds of exciting events across 12 major categories. From the ice-building landscapes to the performances, the action is high-energy. With so much to offer, how can you experience it all in one day?
First: [Warm Up] Essential Cold-Weather Accessories: 1. Heat Sheets 2. Selfie Stick 3. Scarf, Hat, and Gloves. Cold-Weather Gear: Put a heat pack on your phone first. The temperature will be much lower than outside, so dress warmly. You might be worried about being cold all day arriving so early. While that's true, there are heated huts selling hot drinks, places to eat like Pizza Hut, and even the restrooms are heated, so don't worry.
Second: [Queue] This year, the Ice and Snow World launched a "queue system," eliminating the need to wait lonely in the snow! We can get a number online at the queue station, and the system will constantly remind us of the queue status ahead of us. If we have time, we can try other attractions and return before our number is up. This clever queuing system not only solves the problem of wasted time in line, but also helps us conserve energy, allowing us to unfettered enjoyment in the ice and snow park.
Third: Get there early to grab the Big Slide: Aurora Mountain Sports Field is the first stop for many visitors, home to the famous "Big Slide." At over 300 meters, this world's longest ice slide is the crown jewel of the attractions and a must-try. Online, you'll see descriptions like "two-hour lines for a half-minute thrill" and "The Ice and Snow World Ice Slide is so magical, visitors brave the long lines"—their impact is palpable even through the screen. You'll be competing against tens of thousands of other visitors. So, how can you successfully get a ride? The secret is to arrive early! The best time to get there is around 11:00 AM, when the lines for the ice slides are virtually non-existent! Experienced travelers always arrive early to enjoy a smooth ride all the way to the top. If you're not brave enough, don't worry: you can choose from slides with varying curvatures. Each slide is equipped with an airbag at the end, so just listen carefully to the staff's instructions and you'll be safe. Moreover, this year the number of slides over 300 meters long will be increased from 3 to 6, which means that the number of tourists who can play on the big slides will double that of previous years, and the waiting time will be shorter!
Leaving the park at night, there are many illegal taxi drivers trying to pick up passengers. It is best to ignore them as the fares are very high and can be a rip-off. There is a bus stop right after you exit the park (ask the staff if you can't find it). After the buses have collected their tickets, they will be arranged as shuttle buses. They go directly from the Ice and Snow World to the Flood Control Memorial Tower without stopping. The fare is 2 yuan per person.
This year marks the 20th anniversary of the Ice and Snow World. We hope everyone has fun and doesn’t waste time queuing. Take this guide with you to enjoy the fantastic celebration of the ice and snow park!

Tips 1: Tickets for the Ice and Snow World are 330/person when purchased on-site, 310/person when purchased through Meituan. Scan the QR code to enter.
Tip 2: The Ice and Snow World usually opens around Christmas each year, so when we went, some parts were still under construction, but it was still quite crowded! Having fewer people is really important. You can basically avoid lines for anything, and taking photos is easy, too. Have you ever had to wait in line for an hour for just one attraction at an amusement park or water park?
So! If you want to come, please come early!
Harbin gets dark at 4 p.m., so the Harbin Ice and Snow World is most beautiful after dark. Daytime admission is discounted, but it's not recommended. Don't forget to bundle up in your warmest clothes. After all, you're only seeing the night scene, so you won't be able to take stunning photos. Staying warm is essential. Temperatures in the low 30s will really freeze your hands and feet. For those with cold knees, I recommend wearing knee pads and applying heat packs to your feet, body, and phone. If the cold gets unbearable, grab a quick bite at any store to warm up before heading out.
Attention! This is a very important point! If you're bringing a camera indoors, be sure to cover it tightly to prevent air from entering. Harbin's 40-50 degree temperature difference between indoor and outdoor temperatures is no joke, and fogging up the lens can take a while to clear.

What's a trip to the Ice City without visiting the Ice and Snow World? This annual feast of ice and snow is packed with people, even though tickets are a bit pricey. The Ice and Snow World gave me the following: first, it was awe-inspiring! Second, it was awe-inspiring! Third, it was freezing! But seeing such stunning ice sculptures, even chilled to the bone, was worth it.
It was already dark when we arrived at the Ice and Snow World by bus. The colorful lights were just beginning to come on, creating a dazzling spectacle alongside the various large ice sculptures. I highly recommend visiting the Ice and Snow World at night. The daytime photos are completely different and well worth a visit. I recommend arriving between 3 and 4 PM to experience both the daytime and nighttime wonders. In Northeast China, winters get dark so early that we couldn't catch the sun setting for the night.

To avoid long lines at each attraction, I arrived early, at 11:00 AM, when it opens. Many people opt to leave in the afternoon to see the Great World at night, but many attractions have long lines. However, if you leave early, it can get quite cold outside, so find some indoor areas to rest.
I finished skiing at 3:30 in the afternoon and then went to queue up to watch the Harbin Ice Show. There seemed to be 500 people in each show. It was really exciting and worth waiting in line for more than an hour outside.

The Ice and Snow World really makes me admire these handcraft masters, which embodies human wisdom. I recommend everyone to go there at 4 pm. It is particularly dazzling under the background of lights. There are various ice and snow sculptures, and there are many entertainment projects. Of course, there are fast food to keep warm, and there are also performances. The performances are wonderful and worth a visit!

Ice and Snow World, the world's largest ice and snow theme park, is open from Christmas every year to early March of the following year. Here you can admire beautiful ice sculptures, snow sculptures and ice and snow castles, and enjoy various snow entertainment projects. You can try the thrill of sliding down the longest ice slide in the country, take a ride on the forest train, ice bikes, snow karts, snowmobiles, skiing, skating, playing with snow rings, ice mazes, ice climbing and other activities. Most of the projects are free of charge.

I specifically chose December 31, 2024, to visit the Ice and Snow World. Watching the New Year's Eve fireworks there was the ultimate romance. It was my first time seeing such a large-scale ice sculpture, and it was truly breathtaking and dreamlike. Here, the cold is banished by joy, and ice and snow become a hotbed of art. I paused in the mundane world, temporarily shed my adult self, and told myself, "Don't be so stubborn. You're still that child who believes in fairy tales. Dive into the fairytale dream of Frozen!" If your winter fairytale is an unfulfilled dream, don't hesitate. Come to the Ice and Snow World and make it come true.

The unique romance of the Ice City, the fairy tale of ice, snow and castles, the Ice and Snow World is our first check-in point
The Ice and Snow World is just a few stops away on Metro Line 2.
Open at 11am
There is no need to queue up early because it is too cold outside.
Look at the thermometer below -20+
There are many people selling anti-slip anklets at the door
It is very practical for us middle-aged and elderly people to buy a pair of
The Ice and Snow World only exists for about 2 months each year. Although the ticket price is a bit expensive,
We're still here
We mainly took photos and did not participate in any activities that required queuing.

In short, because the Ice and Snow World is so famous, there are a lot of young people coming to visit. Many projects require long queues, and you can hardly experience all of them. The long queues make me feel that the experience of the Ice and Snow World is not good.

Went there a few years ago.
My friend recommended me to go there, so I bought a bunch of warm gear and put hot packs all over my body because it was really cold!
Electronic devices may be frozen and run out of power, so bring a power bank; we were lucky because the battery ran out after we finished taking the photos.
Try to wear non-slip shoes, as it is easy to fall in ice and snow.
There are many places to get hot water, which is very thoughtful, but I didn't pay much attention to the bathroom.
There are vendors selling snacks, such as candied haws.
You can take a taxi when you go there, but it is recommended to take the bus when you come out, because the driver will not be able to find you when there are so many people, and you also don’t know where you are. The bus stop is a 5-minute walk away, and most of the buses go directly to the Central Square.

We entered the venue in the afternoon and lined up for the show. We waited for 40 minutes. The show was pretty good, with many beautiful Russian girls. There were also some food for sale inside, which was not expensive.
It was already dark when I came out and the lights were on.
The big slide is for adults only, and the queue is very long. There are also pairs, fours, and sixes slides, with the six-person queue being the shortest.
It is mainly composed of various ice buildings, with a stage for performances outdoors, a fashion show indoors, an ice rink, and a small slide for children to play on.
I feel that since there is not much snow, it would be more appropriate to call it the Ice Lantern World.

The Ice and Snow World is especially beautiful at night. The ice lanterns are a major feature of Harbin. Please be careful to dress warmly when visiting in winter. In addition, friends who are visiting Harbin for the first time can bring back some Harbin red sausage, which is quite delicious.

The ice sculptures were spectacular, but I only queued up for the big slide and didn't get to ride the Ferris wheel.

It's very impressive and beautiful, but the ticket price is a bit expensive. You have to get in early, and you have to grab tickets for the Ferris wheel and the big slide in advance, and you have to reserve free tickets in advance.

Harbin Ice and Snow World is Harbin’s business card, why don’t you come?

Harbin's winter, the biggest finale scenery, Harbin's business card

The big slide is so much fun. If there were fewer people, I would really like to play it a few more times.

Bring plenty of hot packs! The ice sculptures and colorful lights are truly stunning. There's also ice skating, ice tubing, and other attractions in the Great World. Please purchase your tickets in advance!

When I went there, it was in trial operation and not fully completed. It got dark very early. It was still very beautiful, but too cold.

Founded in 1999, it is a large-scale ice and snow art project launched by the Harbin Municipal Government of Heilongjiang Province to welcome the Millennium Celebration and the Shenzhou Century Tour. Taking advantage of Harbin's ice and snow season advantages, it showcases the ice and snow culture and ice and snow tourism charm of the famous northern city Harbin.

Harbin's must-see scenic spots are definitely the epitome of the Ice City

This is a highly recommended place to visit. Although the tickets are a bit more expensive, it would be a shame not to come to the Ice City. Many people lined up for the big slide for a long time, and even though they were freezing, they didn't feel wronged. It was worth it!

With the Spring Festival holiday approaching, tourists from all over the world are flocking to Harbin Ice and Snow World for a magical encounter with ice and snow. Dazzling and miraculous scenery, the exhilarating disco scene, and innovative new attractions are all leaving visitors overwhelmed and filled with delight. Save this invaluable guide to the Ice and Snow World performances and become an ice and snow expert in no time.

It looks plain during the day, just a bunch of ice sculptures with no special features. But at night, the scene is quite shocking. If you feel cold, you can follow the host of the square and dance the rabbit dance in a circle. It's very joyful.

If you come to Harbin in winter, you must visit Harbin Ice and Snow World. The scenery here is not available anywhere else.

A must-see place in winter. It's very spectacular and beautiful.

I've never seen it before and I really need to go see it. It's very nice.
The warming measures really need to be done well.

Ice and Snow World, a must-go place to see ice lanterns😀😀😀

I think it's not big so the fare is a bit expensive. The taxi I took back also jumped the meter for 4 kilometers and then jumped to 8 kilometers. Everyone should be careful when you go there.

Some of the vendors there were like bandits. I bought a large plastic snowboard for a kid. As I passed a stall selling the same thing, a portly, burly man bumped into me two or three times. I initially thought he didn't see me, but then I looked at him curiously and realized he was glaring at me. He said, "Go over there." It was a busy intersection at the time. I said, "Are you not allowed to leave?" The old man said, "For someone like you, we'll get two people to throw you into a snow pit tonight." He then started swearing and threatening to wait until you'd changed your clothes tonight. Then a woman from their stall started following me. I asked the park patrol security guard for the complaint number, but he said he was new and on his first day, so he didn't know. The woman saw me leave and immediately started talking to the security guard. I didn't dare go directly to the park with my wife and six-year-old child to complain, fearing it would escalate and scare them. I called the complaint number after returning, but I don't know if it helped. It's so barbaric! I don't even want to visit Harbin anymore. It's so barbaric. I still don’t know the specific reason why I was inexplicably barked at by a mad dog!

This year marks the 20th anniversary of the Ice and Snow World. When the colorful lights are turned on, a dazzling world of ice and snow unfolds before your eyes, which is breathtaking!

A must-try attraction in Harbin in winter: the interplay of lights and ice creates a charming romance at night. Besides the cold weather, you need to be careful about keeping warm, but otherwise, you can have fun.

There are four important things to keep in mind. First, there are many skateboards for sale at the entrance, but don't buy one. You won't need them for any of the attractions, and they'll just get in the way. There are signs everywhere prohibiting skateboards. Second, there's a tour guide right at the entrance who'll try to convince you of the expanse of the Ice and Snow World. Without a guide, you won't be able to enjoy many attractions or see any shows. We thought it was too expensive and didn't need one, either. The venue isn't very large, so it was easy to explore, and we didn't miss a single attraction. Third, there's a map in the service hall with show times and destinations, which is very useful. Fourth, bring a few 100-yuan bills. Many attractions require a deposit, which is refundable after the experience, so cash is essential. The lights came on at 4:00 PM, so we went to the attractions first.
Entertainment projects
①300-meter Aurora Mountain Slide: We rode it twice, first as soon as we entered. Because we went early, there were fewer people. I wanted to ride it a third time, but after a while, there were more people and no queue. It was really thrilling. This is an activity I will never forget.
② Double snow ring: We played two types of double snow rings, but playing snow rings after playing on the big slide was simply too easy.
③ Ski Resort: Xiaoyu and I were both skiing for the first time, so we treated this ski resort as a practice run before heading to Yabuli. We could only use our full strength to move ourselves on the flat ground below. The result was not only no pleasure, but also a lot of sweat. However, it did not dampen our enthusiasm for skiing.
④ Skate rink: Xiaoyu is very good at skate skating. I have skated on skates once at an ice rink in Chengdu, but I was not skilled at all. The scratches on the ice rink in the Great World were too serious, so I didn’t dare to skate. Fortunately, there was a dolphin-shaped stabilizer for beginners to keep stable. I sat on the dolphin and Xiaoyu pushed me around for a few circles, hahahaha.
⑤ Ice bikes: There are many broken bikes. There are single and double bikes. Just try them out.
Performance
① Extreme Flying Ball Dynamic 6 Theater: This attraction had the longest line. With 60 people in a show, we waited nearly 45 minutes. I didn't feel the cold at first, but standing still in line with no wind protection really got me down. It was worth it, though. The 15-minute movie was truly breathtaking. It was my first time experiencing 6D, and the movie covered all of Heilongjiang's famous attractions, offering a comprehensive and thrilling perspective. However, after less than five minutes, I felt like I was getting motion sickness and wanted to vomit. I barely opened my eyes afterward.

The Ice and Snow World is actually quite large. Upon entering, the tour guide asked if you wanted to hire a guide. We chose not to because we wanted to spend all our time exploring and didn't want to wander through the ice sculptures. There are many attractions in the Ice and Snow World, both free and paid, but the lines are long, and you have to carry your own props to the starting point. There seems to be a long ice track that's not being used. Overall, it's too long and tiring. We tried the children's snow tubing three times, but the kids said they didn't want to go fast enough. Since many of the attractions are for adults, I found a dedicated sledding slope. My own sled came in handy, and both adults and children had a blast. (We also had three ski disks, which cost 5-10 yuan each.)

This is a golden signboard of Harbin. It is the wisest choice to enter the park when it is just getting dark to see the fairy tale world and the crystal ice and snow.

Very cold, very beautiful, a perfect ice and snow experience! Well worth a visit! Be sure to wrap up warm!

Arrive early. Harbin rises and sets early, so while residents generally stay up early, this isn't always the case for tourists. A good start time is around 3:30 PM, allowing you to see the ice sculptures before dark. Then, (darkness usually arrives around 4 PM in winter here) colorful lights replace the bright sunlight, giving the ice a captivating and captivating beauty. This transformation is truly beautiful, like us, young students, creating a dazzling painting from a blank canvas. Secondly, (note this), the Ice and Snow World has a vast array of attractions, and given China's conditions, crowds mean lines are common, but on a Harbin winter night, queuing can be quite painful. I arrived around 4:30 PM, and there was a slight delay with ticketing and other matters. We missed out on the Snow Loop (a super long ice slide several hundred meters long, I heard it was quite thrilling), which was a shame. While waiting in line, I overheard a few other tourists chatting up their arrival around 3 a.m. and saying they'd gotten in almost all the rides. They weren't much earlier than us, but their lines weren't long, so they got in a short while. We only got in for one, and we waited for at least an hour. I wasn't too upset about missing out on a fun ride, but since everyone has come so far and may only visit Harbin once in a while, I hope you won't regret it.
Wear as much as you can. You might look like a dumpling, but how can a fool who hasn't experienced the cold truly understand the joy of a dumpling? Standing in line is different from walking or playing outside; it's easy to freeze. You need to pace around. Regarding this, you can do some homework in advance on frostbite prevention and learn the necessary common sense and knowledge (for example, if you're frozen, don't cover yourself with boiling water to warm yourself; keep clothes, shoes and socks dry and take them off if they get wet, especially socks; it's easy to get frostbite when you're hungry, so make sure to eat well; remember to shake off snow when you go indoors, as melting snow will soak your clothes, shoes and socks... etc.).
Take photos in moderation. There are touchscreen gloves with capacitive touchscreens on the fingers, so consider them. For example, taking photos outdoors, the gentle breeze, carrying air over 20 degrees Celsius (no, over 20 degrees below zero), kissing your bare hands is bound to be refreshing. Also, phones tend to shut down easily and lose battery quickly in cold temperatures. Try to keep your phone in an inner pocket. This not only helps you avoid the urge to take photos and protect your hands, but also helps conserve battery, avoiding the awkward situation of needing your phone off at a crucial moment.
The Ice and Snow World is located in Jiangbei District, an area currently undergoing significant development. In other words, it's quite remote. Don't take illegal taxis; they're unsafe. There's a dedicated bus service at the entrance to the Ice and Snow World that goes to Central Street (Harbin's busiest area). Pay attention to the operating hours; other Harbin buses run early, but this is a tourist-only bus service and will run later. There are also legitimate taxi pick-up points.

A must-see, it's a huge project that took 2 months, it's really impressive!

I went with my uncle and cousin. Actually, there was no service! However, the scenery was really beautiful, with all kinds of ice lanterns and statues, which were particularly beautiful! There was also a very large and long slide. There were too many people, so we didn't queue up! We bought New Year's Eve tickets, which only cost 160 yuan

I'll never come back to this place again. Tickets cost 330 yuan, and after entering, I went for the main attraction, the supposedly "longest 300-meter ice slide in history." I waited in line for over two hours and was completely frozen. No matter how much I dressed, I was still cold. When I got to the slide, I thought it would be a pleasant surprise, as the promotional videos looked so good. Instead, I ended up sliding down in a plastic basket. The slide was incredibly narrow, and if I wasn't careful, my arms would get bumped. It was so bumpy that I couldn't sit still and had to sleep in the pain. It didn't even feel like 300 meters. After finishing this attraction, I didn't want to stay there even for a minute longer (there were four of us who went together, and we all had the same idea: to walk).

The Ice and Snow World beside the Songhua River has bright lights that you can see from afar. The crystal clear ice castle is magnificent against the backdrop of the lights!
There are also so many game projects that you don’t want to stop playing.

Didn't book in advance (not in the plan), went in and found...
"It doesn't seem to be anything special."
"Wow, this color combination is really tacky."
"The ice is purple and blue, as if it's been poisoned."
I kept complaining about how inhumane I was (.) and even ate a candied haws that I couldn't chew at all (.)
However, I picked up a butt pad skateboard (a name x gave himself) on the way and it was quite fun to slide down the slope. As for ice sleds and roller skating, they are too difficult for southerners and the experience is average.
Actually, the Ice and Snow World is quite suitable for children. I feel that many experiences are more interesting for children. It will be lower than the outside temperature, so you must wear more clothes when visiting the Ice and Snow World.
It is difficult to go back from the Ice and Snow World. There is no bus, only taxi.
My friends and I were quite indignant about this. The illegal taxis were very expensive, and there was no public transportation. Isn't it a bit unreasonable for such a tourist attraction to not have relevant facilities?

It was quite good and worth the price. I never expected so many people to come indoors. Luckily we entered the park right after it opened at 9:30, when there were fewer people and we could take photos and play around. When we were about to leave at around 11:00, more people had already come, including tour groups... so you can imagine~

I really like it ^^

The craftsmanship and design are worth entering the park. If you want to take pictures, do it before dark. The scenery will have a better sense of design after the lights are on.

Very good, very beautiful, but the person taking the photo is a bit dark
It's truly spectacular, and you absolutely must visit. It's only open for a little over a month each year, usually starting with the Ice and Snow Festival in early January. It's incredibly crowded, and on weekends, you have to queue for tickets, and there's no parking. It's open during Harbin's coldest times, with temperatures reaching 20 to 30 degrees Celsius below zero. Dress warmly, or you'll freeze like a popsicle. Southerners should be well-equipped.
