It was almost 4 o'clock when we came out of Gogol Bookstore. We quickly took a taxi to the Songhua River. The driver dropped us off on a street full of snowmen. It turned out that as one of the tourist projects of the Ice and Snow Festival, 2019 snowmen of various shapes were piled up on the 1.5-kilometer-long river embankment and the frozen river surface from the Harbin Songhua River Flood Control Memorial Tower to the west. Being in it was like a fairy tale world. The largest snowman was more than 20 meters tall and stood out by the river. The "2019 Harbin River Public Ice and Snow Carnival" was being held on the frozen Songhua River. There was no ticket, but there was still a fee for playing ice entertainment projects.

There are all kinds of entertainment on the surface of the Songhua River. The children carried tools up and down and played on the slide, having a lot of fun. Many people were playing on the river. Seeing people playing on the other side of the river, and some people crossing the river on foot, the little chef and I decided to cross the river on foot. As we walked, the little chef told me that he was afraid that someone would dig a hole for fishing and fall into it without seeing it. He also told me to crawl to the shore on my stomach if the ice cracked. When I walked to a transparent place, I could see that the ice was very, very thick, and I felt very safe. We are also people who have crossed the Songhua River~

The Songhua River is frozen, and it is free to enter. Only motorized equipment costs money, so don't be fooled by the scalpers at the door. Snowmobiles and kayaks pull you around in circles. I forgot the price, but it takes about 15 minutes each time. So many local children bring their own snow mats to play on ice slides when they go out to play. Their childhood is much more fun than that of children in the south. There are piles of snowmen next to the Songhua River. You will find that the snowmen here come from 56 nationalities and various species.
The river view at this time reminded me of the eternal quatrain: "An old man in a straw raincoat and straw hat is fishing alone in the cold river under the snow."
My friends are busy putting the scenery into the memory card~
The park by the river is a popular place for the elderly and children to have fun every day. Sometimes, meeting one or two good friends and chatting about the past is enough to make one happy for several days.

Walking in Stalin Park, we soon saw the frozen river. It was a huge expanse and very spectacular. There were cars driving on the river, and many people were skating, skateboarding, sledding, and riding tires. These were all the first time I saw them, and I was full of curiosity. I walked slowly on the river. It was my first time walking on ice, and I was a little scared to see the transparent cracked ice.
By the way, the wind by the river is really strong, and it makes my hands and face hurt a lot, so everyone must take good warming measures.
Seeing this, I couldn't help but sigh that winter life in the north is so rich. Even if the weather is very cold, it can't stop people from playing in the snow and ice.

There was no snow during my visit to Harbin, so the Songhua River became the most fun place. The first time I heard about the Songhua River was in the song "Songhua River". The completely frozen Songhua River in winter is really attractive to children in the south. There are many ice activities, and even playing on the ice for a while is fun. The scenery at night is also very good. If you come to Harbin in winter, you must go to the Songhua River to play!

Children from the south are having fun in the Songhua River ~ Happiness can be simple
Imagine the original river surface turned into a thick ice surface.
I don't know if it was good luck, my friend said that the river recreation project had not been established last week and we caught up with it.
Everyone must go through security before going down. The display screen will monitor the number of people entering the park in real time.
Songhua River not only allows you to experience the thrill of walking on ice and taking photos, but also various recreational activities are waiting for you.
There is a ticket office at the main entrance and there are also recreational facilities around
I chose the "Super Ice Sled" which is 50 yuan per car with no time limit.
I found a seat for three people. Turning manually is difficult. I practiced many times but to no avail. But I enjoyed it.
The only drawback: the venue is too small and there are frequent "collisions"
Protection measures: Although the venue is sprinkled with powder to prevent slipping, some icy places are still easy to slip. Anti-slip shoes are useless. It is recommended that tb buy anti-slip spikes on the soles

Most of the people on the river bank are elderly people, standing on the shore to watch the river in winter. There are many children playing on the river, playing games such as skating and sliding on stools.
There were also some people like us who were new to this place and walked cautiously on the Songhua River, as if they were afraid that the ice would crack if they walked too hard.
The cold starts from the feet. After staying there for a long time, my whole body is filled with coldness. But I can't bear to leave the Songhua River. I jump on it with joy.

The next morning in Harbin, we arrived at the Songhua River early. Although the sun was just rising, many people had already started skiing on the ice. Stepping on the solid ice, the snow squeaked and squeaked, forming a simple and beautiful song. The wind was strong on the river. Walking on the frozen river surface at minus 20 degrees Celsius was like stepping on ice with bare feet. My feet were completely numb. My eyes were also blown so hard that tears were about to flow, and they were red. But the cold could not extinguish our creative enthusiasm, and we took multiple continuous shots. The light was so good that I was very satisfied with every shot. Beauty comes unexpectedly, but beauty is hard to come by.

A must-visit place in Harbin!
After walking for a while from Central Avenue, you will reach the Songhua River. The feeling of walking on the river is very slippery and cold!
In winter, the river is very lively, with all kinds of entertainment facilities available.
As soon as we got up, we sat on this snow ring, which should be called a snow slide~
30/person, it's quite exciting, but it's very cold when you leave~
But but! When I walked to the back, I found that everyone else only wanted 10 yuan!
So don't sit down right away, take a look around first, the prices will get lower and lower later~

The mother river of Heilongjiang, after passing the flood control memorial tower, you will see Stalin Park and Songhua River. Stalin Park feels more like a walking path along the embankment. Songhua River is one of the seven major rivers in China. The water mainly comes from Tianchi Lake in Changbai Mountain. In winter, this river becomes an ice park. I remember watching a documentary about the ice sculptures on Sun Island. The water is taken from the Songhua River, which has fewer impurities, is frozen more firmly, and has higher transparency. I will definitely come again in winter to feel the shock of the ice and snow world!

I went there a few years ago. It is one of the must-see attractions in Harbin.
The Songhua River in winter is definitely an amusement park, with a lot of activities such as snow tubing and drifting. I highly recommend this. I originally thought it was boring, but since I came here, I ended up sitting in the last circle and I was so excited...

In February, we arrived in Harbin. The Songhua River was frozen. Skating and playing with rims on the ice were really fun for children from the south. In addition, the food in Harbin was really good.

After the Songhua River freezes, it becomes an amusement park. There are also large ice blocks scattered on the river surface, which is the Harbin of Iceland.

It was quite pleasant to watch the sunset. The most surprising thing was that there were people swimming.

I came here to see the Songhua River because of its reputation. There are many parks along the river where I can rest and take a walk.

The Songhua River in winter is quite interesting, with many ice sports, such as ice sleds, ox sledding, and dog sledding.

Born in Heilongjiang, I have many different feelings towards the Songhua River, but the scenery is indeed average.

I like taking a boat. I took a slow boat on the Songhua River for 2 hours. It was quiet and peaceful. I still remember that day, the weather was just right and the people were just right.

The snow in the Ice and Snow World is taken from here~

The Songhua River is completely frozen in winter, and the shore is full of snowmen, the so-called Snowman World. There are people walking on the ice, but it is better to take the cable car.

I have seen both the sunrise and the sunset. The cold sun and the seemingly calm Songhua River have many beautiful views on both sides.

The Songhua River froze. I walked from the south to the north of the river. I realized that my phone had no heat pad and the battery was less than 10%. I quickly walked back from the north of the river. I accidentally stepped on the ice and fell.
When I came back and plugged in, it instantly reached 35%+

In the summer, you can go boating and take the cable car across the river. In the winter, the entire river is frozen and you can skate, snow sled, and ice slide. It's a must-go.

The Songhua River in early spring has not yet thawed, it is worth a visit!

It's early spring, when the glaciers are thawing. It's not too cold, not too warm, just right.

Sliding on the Songhua River. Need some beef jerky to replenish your energy. Very silly and fun

The most appropriate description is "Thousands of miles of snow drifting, tens of thousands of miles of ice." Although it didn't snow when I went there, it was still very pleasant to walk and play freely on the frozen Songhua River.

The scenery of Songhua River in summer and winter is different. In summer, you can see the scenery, and in winter, you can see the ice.

The Songhua River has become the representative of Harbin. It is a beautiful sight in summer and a good place for ice skating in winter.

It exceeded expectations. Sitting on the cableway overlooking the Songhua River was spectacular.

The Songhua River is frozen and you can stand on it and play. It is said that cars can even pass through Mohe. This is simply amazing for children from the south!

Next to the memorial tower is the frozen Songhua River. I thought I could see the magnificent sight of the entire Songhua River frozen, but in fact I could only see a part of it. The frozen area was divided into pieces by the merchants for ice sports, which were similar to those in the Ice and Snow World. There was no need to waste money. The frozen Songhua River was very slippery, and I was very nervous when walking. I almost slipped several times and my waist was almost broken.

The Songhua River is fun in winter, when it is frozen.

The frozen Songhua River is a paradise for fun. You can enjoy all kinds of ice sports on the Songhua River. There are also rows of snowmen of all kinds on the riverside! This is really the most snowmen I have ever seen in my life.

The river bank has begun to freeze, but it is still a thin layer, and people cannot walk on it. The water in the middle of the river is still flowing. There are some old men on the river bank basking in the sun, facing the river breeze, and flying kites. Life is so comfortable.

The surface of the river was pitch black, and a cold wind was blowing by the river. Occasionally, there were one or two people running or walking, and it was really deserted.

The Songhua River is really a place where large cars can run. You can see many construction vehicles driving on the river. You can climb from under the Songhua River Bridge to the river surface. When you get to the river surface, you will find that the ice is really too thick. You can see cracks and the thickness of the ice layer.
The Songhua River Bridge is almost 120 years old. It is no longer a train passage, but only for pedestrians. There are many snowmen on the Songhua River. There are dozens of them, some more than 2 meters high. There are also ice sculptures, but the ice sculptures seen during the day are not bright and not very pretty.

The Songhua River in winter is not a surging river, but a frozen surface. You must go for a walk on it.

There is a free ice and snow world, and the rides inside are charged. You can walk on the ice and have a look even if you don’t play. It’s very pleasant. Many people are skating on the ice.

Whether the Songhua River is beautiful or not depends entirely on the photography skills

The beautiful Songhua River is so beautiful in winter. I want to go ice skating every day.

The Songhua River is a vital part of Harbin people's lives. They cannot live without it; the Songhua River is their mother river. They also fight against the Songhua River and erected a flood-fighting monument on the riverside.

No tickets are required, you can buy tickets for any of the activities you want to play. The wind on the ice is really strong. But it's really fun

This should be the mother river of Harbin, right? It gave birth to the lovely people of Northeast China. Haha, the surface of Songhua River is frozen. I saw many people having fun on the ice. It is a good choice to rush down and run to the other side.

If you keep walking towards Central Street, you will see the Songhua River and the Air Defense Memorial Tower next to it.
There are entertainment activities on the frozen river. The ice is very slippery and the wind is very strong.

On the Songhua River
The air is filled with snowflakes
Sparkling with sunlight, coated with crystal
The boundless river
Gives you endless imagination

It was extremely cold. The wind was blowing. (A jacket is really useful at this time. Tingzi was shivering in her down jacket, but I didn't feel anything at all. Hahaha)
I observed the river surface and wow, I have never walked on a frozen river before. (I was a little scared actually haha)

It's nice to sit by the river on a summer night. You can read my travel notes for details.

Since we are in Harbin, we might as well check it out. The river water has frozen into thick ice, and we can walk freely on it.

The river has already started to freeze over at this time. In two weeks, you can play ice sports. Many people are playing ice hockey on the river.

My home is on the Songhua River in Northeast China, where we meet on ice...

It was really beyond my expectation. For children in the south who have never seen snow, seeing snow was already exciting. The feeling of seeing the frozen rivers was even more indescribable.

The frozen Songhua River has become a large amusement park...

We have to wait until the river is frozen solid before coming back, so that we can skate on the Songhua River, haha!

In winter, the river is frozen and you can see ice caves for fishing.

The wind on the surface of the Songhua River is very strong and cool. High fountains rise from the surface of the river, emitting hazy mist, which looks like a fantastic dream of light and shadow.

Harbin ~ China Snow Valley ~ China Snow Village ~ Rime Island ~ Changbai Mountain carpooling and chartering. Accommodation and travel consultation

The sunset scenery is more beautiful in the evening, and you can also watch the sunset. You must take a boat to experience it.

A good place to avoid the crowds, a must-go place for walking

Songhua River is a special feature of Harbin, you should definitely see it. It can freeze in winter and people skate on it. . .

The weather was very good when we went there, so it was nice to take pictures. There is a Sun Island on the other side of the river. You can take a boat or cable car to get there. Walk along Central Avenue and you will reach the Songhua River at the end.

It is a great experience to cross the frozen river.

Meeting a rainbow at the Songhua River, from Central Avenue to Xidaotou, and Stalin Park by the river, the river is not rushing, it is hard to imagine the entire river surface frozen

The Second Songhua River was a name used after the founding of the People's Republic of China, but was abolished in 1988. This name refers to the "West Flowing Songhua River" (i.e. the Jilin Province section of the Songhua River), which is the historical root of the term "Songhua River". Forcibly dividing it into the Second was contrary to history, so it was abolished.

Since the ordinary cruise ship is only two yuan, I give it full marks. This is the cheapest river crossing transportation I have ever taken. I have taken the two yuan ferry on the Huangpu River in Shanghai before.

Harbin's mother river, the old city is on the southeast bank, and the Ice and Snow World and other entertainment facilities are on the west. It was summer when I went there, so I didn't see the frozen scene. There is also a cable car on the river for sightseeing.

The Songhua River in early winter is clear and ethereal...

There are many tourists and businessmen who are having fun with their children.

I went there in December, a cold winter. I walked along Central Avenue, and at the end was the Songhua River. It was all covered with hard ice. Children and tourists were skating or riding snowmobiles. Friends in the south can go and have a look. It felt amazing to walk on the thick ice. Haha, I always think of Journey to the West. Hahahahaha

Harbin's mother river is very beautiful when watching the sunset at dusk. Harbin's urban architectural skyline is also nice. The city is close to the riverside and there are riverside parks suitable for walking.

The Songhua River in winter is an ice and snow playground with many amusement projects on the ice. It is just too cold, with the chill running up your right feet making it unbearable. The surprising thing is that it is the first time in my life that I see an ice and snow toilet.

The section of the Songhua River flowing through Harbin has long been an important landscape of the city. Every winter, the frozen river surface becomes a popular tourist attraction, where people can experience activities such as riding a horse-drawn carriage and playing with snow rings. People in the south really want to feel the feeling of walking on ice! ! I didn't feel it when I went to Beijing last time, and I didn't see ice and snow in Harbin this time, only the strong wind.

A river that runs through the urban area of Harbin is also one of the main rivers in Heilongjiang. The riverside is a good place for morning exercise and evening rest, and it is worth a visit.

A kitten on the roadside of Songhua River, a quiet riverside
The date when the Songhua River freezes over is not very certain, but as long as the Songhua River freezes over, you can see the purest side of Harbin people.
Thousands of miles of ice and snow make it a great place for people of all ages to enjoy the city. They play spinning tops, pull dogs on sleds, and walk on the ice. Locals and outsiders alike can enjoy the huge ice surface.
Even though I live in Northeast China, this is the first time I’ve seen such a spectacular ice event. I couldn’t help but take photos with my phone…
