The Ussuri Shoal lies adjacent to the Heilongjiang River, the border between China and Russia. Formed by the alluvial deposits of the Heilongjiang River, it covers an area of approximately 50 square kilometers. The river flows majestically, and the shores are vast and flat. In winter, snow blankets the plains, creating a world of silvery white—a truly remarkable sight, a work of nature. Legend has it that China's true North Pole lies on the banks of the Heilongjiang River beyond the Ussuri Shoal. Here, you can see two giant rocks: one inscribed with "Northern Sky-supporting Stone" and the other with "Congratulations on Finding the North."

My introduction to the Ussuri Shoals began with the song "Ussuri Boat Song," and I've longed for the northernmost tip of our country! Finally, I arrived at the Ussuri River. There were many signs along the shore saying "Northernmost Point of China," confirming I'd made it to the northernmost tip of our country, fulfilling a childhood dream!

The Wusuli Shoal is truly the northernmost point of China. Because the water level has risen, we can’t go down to the shoal to play... We can only check in at the boundary marker.

It's called a shallow beach, but in fact, it's nothing more than the stone tablet of "China's northernmost point". I've been numb to these snow scenes in the Northeast and don't think there's anything to see. But the entrance fee to the scenic spot is 50. The most annoying thing is that you have to take the scenic area bus to come in. It's only a dozen kilometers round trip, but they charged 85 for the bus.

The Ussuri Shoal on the banks of the Heilongjiang River is a place I am really looking forward to, because it is the northernmost point in China in the true sense.

On the Heilongjiang River, right next to Russia, you won't regret going there

There are only a few rocks, nothing special.

You have to visit the northernmost tip of our country. Looking across the mighty Heilongjiang River at Russia, which was once our homeland, brings back a lot of thoughts. I personally recommend that you definitely come!

Wusuli Beach is a must-see, as it's very close to China's northernmost point. When the water is shallow, the scenery is beautiful, and there's a farmhouse next to it with a restaurant and accommodation. Unfortunately, we encountered heavy rain along the Heilongjiang River during the flood season, and the beach was flooded.

I carefully searched the map to find my location. It turns out this is China's true northernmost point. Behind me is the Heilongjiang River, and across the river is Russia. There are huge ice blocks along the shore. Sitting on the rocky beach, the pure, peaceful, and remote feeling makes you forget who you are, where you are, or what you're doing.

The Ussuri Shoal is the northernmost point of my country, located at 53°33′43″ north latitude. The national border is the central channel of the Heilongjiang River. Across the river from Russia, the Heilongjiang River flows quietly through primeval forests. Although it is called the Ussuri Shoal, it is actually located on the banks of the Heilongjiang River.

This northernmost point is called the Ussuri Karen Shoal, and the entrance fee is 50 yuan. It actually has nothing to do with the Ussuri River. This place is 1,000 kilometers away from the real Ussuri River. It is actually on the bank of the Heilongjiang River. As for why it was given such a name, I haven't verified it, but when I heard the word "Karen", I knew it was once a border garrison of the Qing Dynasty. Perhaps the name of the outpost at that time was Ussuri. The driver told us that in winter, there is really nothing to see here except this monument and the many gods who come to see the northern lights to let themselves go. We should come back in autumn, when this place is simply a paradise on earth. The clear shallows and the colorful primeval forests of Russia opposite will present a different beauty.

China's North Pole has finally arrived! I'm stamping my feet with excitement! Having traveled a long way from Guangdong, China's southernmost point, I'm incredibly excited!
Although I have been in Northeast China for a while, the temperature felt the lowest in the Ussuri shallows. After taking pictures, I stayed outside for 2 minutes and wanted to hide in the car. I really couldn't stand it! The temperature was about -38 degrees Celsius at that time.

We're already here, so let's go snowmobiling. I'm at a loss for words—I'm not a fan of any handlebar-style accelerators. But I'm also tired of constantly taking photos. And I still can't escape the old saying, "Since we're already here," I'm afraid of flipping over...

In winter, snow covers the plains, creating a world of silver. It is the magic work of nature that has created this wonder in the world.

Here is China's northernmost point and boundary marker, and Russia is across the way.

In fact, the temperature is not very low, and Russia across the street is very close.

There is a stone carving at the northernmost point in China, which is the legendary "Northern Lights". Some people came here shirtless to take pictures, which is an unforgettable experience.

This is the northernmost point in China. The actual temperature when we went there was -42℃, and the perceived temperature was -52℃.

When checking in at the northernmost point of China, it is best to take off your clothes to show respect. As for how much to take off and how much to leave on, it all depends on personal preference.

There is only this stone tablet on the Ussuri shallows.
Take a photo to prove that we have reached the northernmost point.
The children had a lot of fun sliding on the small slope under the stone tablet.
It is recommended that friends who bring children should bring a few of those 10-yuan plastic skateboards, which are children’s favorite.

I personally think this is the most attractive part of Mohe, the blue sky, the vast river, and the pleasant travel experience.

Gathering in Mohe, China, and meeting in the Arctic, we journey north to experience the ice and snow

The northernmost point in the true sense. Coming here during the coldest time and feeling the extreme cold on the frozen river is a trip that must be remembered.

China's northernmost point! Open your arms southward in front of the stele and you'll embrace the entire Celestial Empire! Behind you is the boundless Longjiang River and the Russian mountains across the river!
The standard action in front of this stone monument is to take off your shirt (you can also take off all the clothes) artificial northern lights:)
A tip for brothers and sisters who want to do this job: don't hesitate when you are ready to do it! Take off all your clothes before getting off the car, then wrap yourself in a coat. Get off the car one, two, three, take off the coat and instantly pose in various ways. Then, in one minute, you will have 17 or 18 photos. Mission accomplished!
If you stay down for more than five minutes and then want to do this job, you probably won’t have the courage :)

The Ussuri Shoal is the northernmost point of my country, located at 53°33′43″ north latitude. The national border is the central channel of the Heilongjiang River. It faces Russia across the river and is called the Ussuri Shoal, but it is actually on the banks of the Heilongjiang River. It was named "Ussuri Shoal" because there was a karen (equivalent to a border outpost) called Ussuri here during the Qing Dynasty.
Taking photos with the stone tablets and boundary markers is a "standard practice" here. Facing south, the whole of China is before you...
After returning, I discovered there should be a self-made monument nearby that reads "Finally Found the North." I didn't know about it at the time and didn't even look for it. It's a small regret, I guess.

The road was closed due to road construction and we were not allowed to enter. Alas, we changed to Beihong Village. Then we went to Shenlong Bay and Nvjiao Bay. It is said that this is a small place. The scenery is also very beautiful.

Driving across the Ussuri Shoal, my phone automatically adjusted to Russian time. It was 4 p.m., the sun was about to set. I had found my way!

After all, it is the northernmost point of China, a tourist attraction with special significance.

The northernmost point of China is here, the North Pole of China is here. Those who are looking for the north or those who can't find the north can come and have a look.

The Ussuri Shoal is very close to the First Bay of the Heilongjiang River, allowing you to visit both attractions together with a single ticket. Formed by alluvial deposits from the Heilongjiang River, the shoal is the northernmost point in China's geographic coordinates, situated on the main channel of the Heilongjiang River. Visitors come here to explore the northernmost point, facing Russia across the river. Standing here, facing south and back to north, you'll see the entire country unfold before your eyes!

Since the itinerary for the day was quite full, it was already evening when we arrived here and it was about to get dark. There were almost no people. It is said that this is the northernmost point in China, so taking a photo is definitely essential. The stone monument is very large, and then I turned over and over here, hahahaha. There is also a boundary marker next to it. In short, this is the kind of place where you can take pictures when you visit, but there is actually nothing to visit. Okay, this is my first comment

Quite a nice place, worth a visit...

The scenery is nice, and it's included in the package with the Longjiang First Bay. The facilities and public services are pretty good. It's one of the must-see attractions in Mohe.

The scenery in winter is not as good as in summer, with a vast expanse of white. Across the Ussuri Shoal is Russia, the clouds are beautiful, and the river surface is frozen, so you can play on it as much as you want.

China's northernmost point! There's a boundary marker here, and Russia is just across the river. You can actually ride there in winter!

Heading for the northernmost point of China, at this moment I stand at the northernmost point of China and want to wave to the south

This is the authentic northernmost point in China, where beautiful girls and handsome guys can see the Northern Lights.

Driving on the river is thrilling, but there are beautiful views along the way. It happened to be when the sun was setting that the scenery was superb!

The main purpose of the 50 ticket is to find the northernmost point.

The Ussuri Shoal in Mohe County, Daxing'anling, Heilongjiang Province. China's northernmost point lies here, on the main channel of the Heilongjiang River. Surrounding it are primeval forests, dominated by larch trees. In autumn, the landscape is awash in golden yellow, like stepping into a painting. It's incredibly peaceful. From the entrance of the Molu Highway to the Ussuri Shoal, the road stretches over 30 kilometers, sometimes straight and sometimes winding. From the higher elevations, you can see the primeval forests of Russia on the opposite bank, where green Scots pine trees intertwine with golden larch trees, and a vast river flows quietly through them. It's a truly stunning sight, rarely seen on Earth. The water is so clear that the pebbles at the bottom are clearly visible. I couldn't help but scoop up a sip; it was incredibly sweet and refreshing.

The Ussuri Shoal, also known as the Karen Town, is located in the Tuqiang Forestry Bureau's operating area under the jurisdiction of Mohe County at the northern end of the Greater Khingan Range. It is located on the south bank of the Heilongjiang River at 53°33′43″ north latitude. The shoal is formed by the alluvial deposits of the Heilongjiang River. It is the northernmost point of my country's 9.6 million square kilometers. There are the Northern Optimus Prime, the North Stone Carving, and the northernmost coordinates of China. Across the river is Russia.

It is the northernmost place in China and a must-visit place with decent scenery.

The Ussuri Shoal is the northernmost point in my country, located on the south bank of the Heilongjiang River at 53°33′42″ north latitude. It is a natural scenic spot on the banks of the Heilongjiang River. The national border is the central channel of the Heilongjiang River. Facing Russia across the river, the Heilongjiang River flows quietly through the primeval forest. The shoal was formed by alluvial deposits from the Heilongjiang River. Because there was a kalun (equivalent to a border outpost) called Ussuri here during the Qing Dynasty, it was named "Ussuri Shoal". The north bank of the shoal is the Heilongjiang River, the major boundary river between China and Russia. The river here is majestic and magnificent, and the beach is flat.

Wusuli Shoal - This is the true North Pole of China. On the bank of the Heilongjiang River outside the Wusuli Shoal, you can see two huge rocks - one with the words "Northern Sky-supporting Stone" written on it; the other with the words "Congratulations on finding the North" and the most symbolic coordinates of the North Pole.

China's true northernmost point. The wildflowers along the roadside were beautiful. When we arrived, two stone formations were still unfinished. The Arctic Travelers' Home team left too early, leaving us with a gray sky. We finished our hike after it cleared up.

You can go down to the river beach to play in the water. There is a geographical landmark on the square: 123°15'30" east longitude; 53°33'42" north latitude.

The true northernmost border of China is right here! The boundary river here is very clear and hazy, with few people and a quiet environment, like a paradise.

The Ussuri Shoal is the northernmost point of my country. The national boundary line is the central channel of the Heilongjiang River, and it faces Russia across the river.

This is the northernmost point, with a boundary marker. Standing by the Heilongjiang River, with the drizzle hitting me, I felt a surge of patriotism: this is the border of my motherland.

53°33′47″N: China's northernmost point, the Wusuli Shoal. There's no shuttle bus, so you'll have to drive or charter a car. But on a clear day, the scenery is truly stunning! Blue sky, white clouds, green forests, and the colorful shallows. With a cool breeze, it feels like paradise on earth.

There are relatively few people going there, so the whole environment is still very clean, and the whole scenic area is also well protected, which is great.

The northernmost point on the map of China, with Russia on the other side, is quite scenic, with the river reflecting the blue sky, white clouds, and green mountains. China Mobile's 2G signal is working, so I'll post a message on WeChat Moments to check in.

The white snow is awesome.

Congratulations, you've found your way! Hehe, we're finally here, this landmark stone. I should learn from my friends and take a picture naked, hahahaha!

Across from the Ussuri Shoal are the Russian mountains and trees. The scenery is truly unparalleled.

You have to find the north! I just rushed forward, packed my backpack, and ran all the way in the extremely cold Mohe, playing in the snow, roasting fire and watching the stars. When you can't find the north, look here, when you can't find your direction, think of the warmest painting language. Life is about courage, walking recklessly

The northernmost point in China. We went there at the end of July 2015. It was raining. The scenic spot is not big, but very memorable. We took a lot of photos at the northernmost point and finally found the north (the northernmost point in China)!

I like the northernmost stone tablet. I hope we can find the north, find our goals and realize our ideals.
When you get here from Beihong Village, you must ask the driver to drive the car to Heilongjiang River.

The Ussuri shallows are frozen in winter, creating a northern landscape.

The Wusuli Shoal appears to be China's northernmost point, formed by the alluvial deposits of the Heilongjiang River, which runs alongside the Sino-Russian border. In winter, snow blankets the plains, creating a world of silvery white. Nature's uncanny handiwork has created this truly remarkable sight. Because this area was once a border defense area called Wusuli during the Qing Dynasty, the scenic area is named the Wusuli Shoal Scenic Area. Here, you'll find a giant rock with "Northern Sky-supporting Stone" inscribed on one side and "Congratulations on Finding North" on the other. How could I miss such a whimsical opportunity? I immediately stripped off my shirt and took a close-up photo to find my "north."

The Sino-Russian border, opposite Russia, is very windy and cold

The true northernmost point of China, where everyone has found the north. It is a very meaningful place. You must come.

The stone that points to the north is here, as well as the latitude and longitude values.

The Ussuri Shoal lies right next to the Heilongjiang River, the Sino-Russian border, and is a must-see for anyone chartering a car to Beihong Village. The famous Beihong Village Boundary Monument and the Finding the North Stone Monument are both located here. Admission to this attraction is free, and the driver will take you there. The journey is quite difficult, likely along the Heilongjiang River. The road is so narrow that two cars can't pass on one side, and a driver with poor driving skills would definitely not be able to make it.
Ussuri is a bit bleak in winter. It was extremely cold when we went there. We hurriedly took some photos to keep memories and souvenirs, then ran to the national flag at the China-Russia border to take some photos and quickly returned to the car. It was really cold.

We arrived around 3:00 PM, and it was almost dark. It was so empty and cold! Russia is across the river, China's true northernmost point. Watching the sunset, I realized how insignificant we are in the midst of nature. How could we not broaden our minds? I finally understood why they say that reading a thousand books is not as good as traveling a thousand miles.

The water is very clear, but brown. In June, it is full of pear blossoms. The driver said it was pear blossoms.
It is best to arrive there before sunset to watch the sunset. It must be beautiful.

The true northernmost point on Chinese territory, with the northernmost coordinates right next to the Heilongjiang River, the Sino-Russian border river, is written as 123°15′30″ East longitude and 53°33′42″ North latitude.
There's a big stone next to the coordinates that says "Congratulations on finding the north!" Finally found the north! Take some quick photos!
I have to say this!! There is no shelter at all in this place!! We also felt the cold of over 40 degrees below zero!!
You must wear windproof glasses! You must wear a neck warmer!
I wanted to take my hands out to take pictures, but I put them back into my gloves after a few seconds.
It’s really…too!!!!! COLD!!!!!!

The northernmost part of China, it's nice to watch the sunset, nothing else

The Ussuri Shoal is a shallow beach on the Heilongjiang River bordering Russia. The natural scenery is very beautiful. In winter, the sun is about to set at three o'clock in the afternoon.

There is a stone tablet that points to the north, a national border, and beautiful scenery.
I have listened to the Wusuli Boat Song for many years, and finally came to the Wusuli shallow stall, it is really beautiful

The northernmost point in China, but there are several norths. At the beginning, there is a stone tablet with the words "Congratulations on finding the north!". Further north, there is a wooden stake engraved with the northernmost longitude and latitude on the river bank. Further north, the center line of the frozen river surface is the China-Russia border, and if you go further, you will reach Russia. The ticket here is sold together with the first bend of the Longjiang River. After buying the ticket, you still need to drive for about half an hour to get there.

The Ussuri Shoal in Mohe County, Daxing'anling, Heilongjiang Province. China's northernmost point lies here, on the main channel of the Heilongjiang River. Surrounding it are primeval forests, dominated by larch trees. In autumn, the landscape is awash in golden yellow, like a painting. It's incredibly peaceful. It's a truly unique sight.
China's northernmost point is actually here. For various reasons, many people mistake Mohe's Arctic Village for the northernmost point, but this is not the case. In 2015, relevant experts visited Mohe and subsequently erected a stone tablet inscribed with "China's Northernmost Point" further north, at the Karen Ussuri Shoal at 53°33'43" north latitude. Today, China's northernmost point remains a low-key and ordinary place, devoid of plazas and loud slogans, making it a perfect place to calm down and continue your journey after finding the north.
