Lijing Gate is located in Xiguan, Luoyang City, and is open from 08:00 to 19:00. The gate is shrouded in the night, and the lights on the tower and the city wall are bright. You can appreciate its grandeur when you see it for the first time. When you approach it, step onto the Lijing Bridge, hold hands and pay tribute, and the river flows gently under the bridge.

Lijing Gate, with its high and thick city walls, vast moon city, multiple gates and overlapping doors, and floating clouds above, is majestic and is the leader of the historical and cultural district of Luoyang Old City.

Entering the city wall and looking up, you will see a towering ancient temple standing on top of the arrow tower.

Lijingmen is a must-visit place for foodies. There are peony cakes everywhere, and there is no soup everywhere. There are a variety of literary shops, souvenir shops, and calligraphy and painting shops. There are so many people during the peony flower fair that sometimes it is difficult to turn around. As a food street, the experience is great. The whole street is 2 kilometers long, and you will be full even if you have a big belly.

The exterior of Lijing Gate is very magnificent, and the circular structure is very distinctive. It was first built in the Sui Dynasty, and now it looks very modern. Although it still retains its old appearance, it is basically a later construction. It is very good for taking pictures. Behind the gate is Luoyang Old Street, where there are many so-called Internet celebrity snacks, which are not recommended and not interesting. In the innermost part, there is Guanji Liushui Banquet, which is a local specialty. The price is relatively cheap, and the quality of the food is average. You can spend 35 to climb the city wall and overlook the surroundings.

A must-visit place in Luoyang. I thought it was just a city gate, but it actually has a very long pedestrian street with hand-painted peony fans, silver silk pastry, and no-stirring soup. It is not shorter than the Luoyi Ancient City next door. The night view is quite beautiful. If you live nearby, there are many choices for eating and shopping at night. However, the subway is being built on this road in the north, so it is recommended to choose a hotel on the south road

All year round, spring, summer, autumn and winter, you will have a different feeling when you come to Lijingmen. If you like snacks, you can go through Lijingmen, walk on the ancient streets, come to the night market on Shizijie in Luoyang Old Town, and enjoy the taste experience at night.

If you like antique things, you can stop here. Both sides of the streets in the old city are lined with old crafts that have been preserved to this day, such as woodblock pyrography and the four treasures of the study.

If you like modern literary and fresh styles, there are new Luoyang cultural and creative stores (similar to the literary stores on Gulangyu Island) on both sides of the shop, which sell landmark buildings in Luoyang's old city, postcards, peony-related culture, etc.

If you like to taste the local specialties, not far from Lijing Gate, Luoyang's water feast is also very popular among foreign tourists. If you like youth hostels, you can book a youth hostel in the old city and stay overnight. After eating night market snacks, you can slowly return to the youth hostel to sleep for a night. Get up early to see the quiet old city. The transportation nearby is very convenient. Don't worry about the inconvenience of transportation. Start your Lijing Gate trip whenever you want.

[Allow me to say a few words]

1 It is very convenient to reach the old town by bus from the city. There are many bus routes available.

2 Speaking of Luoyang's culture, it is soup culture, beef soup, meatball soup, mutton soup, etc. The most common breakfast shops you see in the streets and alleys are soup restaurants. In the old city, you can also drink a bowl of "beef soup", which is a bone soup that has been boiled for a long time. Try it in winter and you will feel warm soon. You must try the soup culture of Luoyang City~

If you see a street with big red lanterns hanging high, it means you have arrived at the cross street in Luoyang Old Town.

The night market at the Cross Street in Luoyang Old Town is very lively at night, with many varieties of food. Don't eat too much. The Cross Street in the daytime is more like an ordinary pedestrian street. Take a walk and wait for the night market to open. It will be more prosperous when night falls.

The gate of the ancient city of Luoyang, Lijing Gate, is also the most representative of Luoyang's ancient charm. There is a moat around the tower, and the wisdom of the ancients is incomparable to us today. The Lijing Gate at night gives you a feeling of traveling through thousands of years. Without the hustle and bustle of the city during the day, the ancient flavor arises spontaneously.

Stop and stay in the streets of the old city. The commercial flavor plus the ancient flavor are what the old city cross street looks like today. As the saying goes: "If you don't come to Lijing Gate, you will be in vain in Luoyang City."

After dinner, we came to Lijing Gate. Lijing Gate is known as the first gate of the ancient capital and the first building in the Central Plains. The cross street from Lijing Gate to Drum Tower is home to many delicacies of Luoyang. Lijing Gate is magnificent and has an ancient style. It can be said that the ancients created a tower with the ingenious craftsmanship of hundreds of generations. At night, the lights are on and the lights are colorful. It is also a great place for photography enthusiasts to take pictures. There is actually a hotel inside the thick walls of Lijing Gate. I wonder how it feels to live there? You can go up to the tower of Lijing Gate. You have to buy a ticket, but it doesn't cost much. Our family went up.

By bluecrane |

[Location] You can get there by taking bus 5/56/48/41 from Luoyang Railway Station. It is the old city center of Luoyang, and almost all tourists will visit here.

[Tickets] CNY 35 for climbing the tower (August 2018), and walking around below is free.

[Environment] Climbing up, you can overlook West Street on this side of the city wall. The lights are on, and it feels like the legacy of the Song Dynasty. On the other side, you can see a group of aunts dancing in the green forest on the other side of the moat. The ancient and modern times are harmoniously integrated.

[History] Known as the most typical and excellent city gate in Chinese history, it was first built in the Sui Dynasty and was the national administrative center at that time. Now the Lijing Gate Scenic Area includes the city gate tower, urn city, arrow tower, city wall, Lijing Bridge, Luoyang Imperial History Museum, Tianhou Palace, Heluo Cultural Corridor, Guanyin Pavilion, Bell Tower, Nine Dragon Hall and other places.

Lijing Gate is one of the symbols of the ancient capital of Luoyang. Standing at the gate, you will be impressed by its majesty. Especially after entering the city, looking up and looking around, and experiencing the experience of catching turtles in a jar, you will be amazed at the exquisite design. At night, when the lights gradually light up, the city tower becomes more magnificent, and the ancient capital is immersed in prosperity and noise.

At 5pm, Lijingmen Snack Street was already crowded with people... It's a little difficult to take photos at Lijingmen, but dusk is really the best time to take photos of the building. If there are many people, just hold your phone high! !

The night view is also great!

By the way, I recommend the Drum Tower!

Lijing Gate was the western gate of the ancient city of Luoyang during the Jin and Yuan Dynasties. It was first built in 1217 during the Jin Dynasty. What we see now was rebuilt by the municipal government in 2002 on the original site of the Lijing Gate from the Jin, Yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties. It is not in the same location as the Lijing Gate from the Sui and Tang Dynasties.

Lijing Gate is also the west gate of Luoyang City. It was rebuilt on the basis of the buildings in the Ming and Qing Dynasties. Although it is not in the same place as the Lijing Gate in the Sui and Tang Dynasties, it also shows the style of the ancient capital Luoyang and is one of the symbols of the historical and cultural style of Luoyang City. Therefore, it is also known as the "No. 1 Gate in the Central Plains". The entire Lijing Gate Scenic Area consists of the city gate tower, the urn city, the arrow tower, the city wall, the Lijing Bridge (a suspension bridge in ancient times), the moat and other parts. The lifelike or honest or naughty little lions on the Lijing Bridge are quite interesting. Its city walls are high and thick, the moon city is vast, the gates are stacked, and the clouds are floating on top. It is magnificent and has become the leader of the historical and cultural ancient city block of Luoyang Old City. It has become one of the most distinctive symbols of the history and culture of Luoyang Ancient City, and has been rated as one of the eight scenic spots in Luoyang, with the reputation of "If you don't go to Lijing Gate, you will come to Luoyang City in vain".

Lijing Gate is the west gate of Luoyang City in the Jin Dynasty. It was built in the first year of Jin Xingding (1217) and is located in the west gate of the old city of Luoyang City, Henan Province, northeast of the ruins of Yingtian Gate in the Sui and Tang Dynasties.

According to the Records of the Old City District, “The city of Luoyang during the Jin and Ming dynasties had gates on all four sides: the Jianchun Gate in the east, the Lijing Gate in the west, the Changxia Gate in the south, and the Anxi Gate in the north.

Lijing Gate was first built in 1217 during the Jin Dynasty. In history, the tower of Lijing Gate in the Jin and Ming Dynasties has been destroyed and repaired many times. Today's Lijing Gate in the old city was rebuilt by the municipal government in 2002 on the original site of Lijing Gate in the Jin, Yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties, covering an area of more than 18,000 square meters. It was called Lijing Gate at the beginning of the reconstruction, and was named Lijing Gate on March 10, 2009. It is a tower that reproduces the style of the ancient capital Luoyang. Because it has the same name as the Lijing Gate in the Sui and Tang Dynasties, many people mistakenly believe that the Lijing Gate was built in the Sui and Tang Dynasties, but this is actually wrong.

The entire Lijing Gate scenic area consists of the city gate tower, urn city, arrow tower, city wall, Lijing Bridge (a suspension bridge in ancient times), moat and other parts. I personally like Lijing Gate very much, mainly because of the small commercial street behind the gate. It feels good to go shopping and eat. There are some snacks that I have never seen before, and the things are also very cheap. There are two handicraft souvenir shops at the door, the things are very good, and the prices are relatively affordable.

Lijing Gate has always been known as the first building in Luoyang and the first gate in the Central Plains. It is located on the west side of the old city of Luoyang, and is in harmony with the Drum Tower on East Street. It is a landmark building in Luoyang.

The Lijing Gate, with its arrow tower, gate tower, urn city and moat, was once the most typical and outstanding gate in Chinese history. A poet once praised its infinite charm with the words: "Luoyang's peonies are the best in the world, and the Lijing Gate Tower is unparalleled in the world." Lijing Gate is one of the eight major scenic spots in Luoyang. It was once a place where officials of the court and the people of all dynasties prayed for blessings and good fortune.

Today's Lijing Gate is a new tower built on the original site, and naturally has a modern feel. At night, colorful neon lights outline the outline of the Lijing Gate tower, showing its grandeur in the dark. After nightfall, local people and tourists will go to the Lijing Gate city wall to listen to the lively and strong music, visit the market, eat snacks, and there are many shops serving spicy soup or water banquets. It is very lively.

My personal suggestion is to treat Lijingmen as a snack street instead of a serious ancient building.

Lijing Gate and Luoyang Old Street are "L" shaped, both are night markets and tourist streets. There are many foods and tourists, and it feels a bit dirty. The taste of Luoyang is a bit heavy, and noodles such as rice noodles are spicy. However, this local drink "Hai Bi" is quite delicious.

I just took a few photos. We went there both during the day and at night. There were almost no people during the day because the weather was quite hot. We went there during the day because we didn't know it would be fun to go there at night. There were people selling peony cakes and snowflake crisps, many specialties, as well as the so-called Internet-famous snacks, stinky tofu. Steamed buns and the like, the whole street was full of food, and there were also ethnic specialties, cheongsams, Hanfu and so on. In short, it was not bad, there were many alleys inside, and it felt good to walk in. There was also a slow delivery post office, and I wrote a paragraph to myself five years later, and to him who I loved the most...

What made me happy the most was that we met many people selling pearls. My boyfriend was very curious about pearls. He opened a pink pearl for the first time and it was very round. We were both very happy. Then we went again the next night. The boss said that the clams were sold out. The day we left, my boyfriend went again and we opened three more. There were originally three pearls, but one of them was broken and he opened a purple one. We were very happy.

Luoyang Old City, at the end of a street is the newly built Luoyi Ancient City... There are many food and drink shops on this street! It's nice to eat and shop while walking~~~ You can also bring some souvenirs if you like. If you are not in a hurry, you will find several good specialty shops.

Located in the old city of Luoyang, the tower is 30 yuan per person, and the night view is very beautiful (the city gate has too much commercial atmosphere and too many advertisements, which is a bit out of place)

By A little sheep |

The ticket office of Lijing Gate is on the left side of the back of the tower after passing through the gate.

As soon as I entered the Lijing Gate, I was attracted by the Tang Sancai Museum. The first floor is the sales area and the second floor is the museum. The Tang Sancai is very colorful and beautiful. It is also great to buy some as souvenirs on the first floor.

Continue walking forward and you will reach Luoyang Old Street. There are all kinds of food and drinks on both sides of the street. There are many varieties of souvenirs. It feels good to stroll around. I tried a very famous Gaoji Bufantang restaurant here. It felt so-so. The steamed buns were delicious, but there was also a drink I had never seen before. It was also good to drink (see picture)😊 I bought the peony cake from Dingjia, a time-honored brand. It was hot and delicious, two yuan each.

Keep walking forward and you will see many lanterns hanging on the left. This is Luoyang Cross Street. It is indeed a street of snacks. It is full of food and you will be dazzled. If you keep walking along Lijingmen Street, you will see the Drum Tower and Luoyi Ancient City. The night view of Luoyi Ancient City is also very good and worth visiting. It is worth noting that you need to bring your ID card🆔

Garbage place, no soup inside. I had diarrhea immediately. I want to complain that most hotels in Luoyang do not have private bathrooms, except for chain hotels. I went there in a hurry and the room prices skyrocketed. Overall, Luoyang has more historical sites, but the streets are dirty and messy. It's the same as Xi'an. The food in the snack street is also ordinary and has no characteristics.

We walked around, ate, and waited for the landscape lights to light up. There were many people, mostly selling snacks and specialties, there were street singers, and craftsmen. It was the night scene of Luoyang.

First of all, of the Luoyang specialties at Lijingmen, I only recommend Luoyang Silver Silk Pastry, and you should eat it right after buying it. The one I took home was as hard as a brick. It is recommended that you go to Luoyang Museum and Lijingmen first on the first day of your trip to Luoyang.

I think it's worth climbing up the Lijing Gate. A friend from Luoyang took me to the Lijing Gate. I spoke a few words in Luoyang dialect to the ticket seller, and it was 30 yuan per person. The lights are very beautiful at night, and there are not only lights, but also introductions to the officials of the Zhou Dynasty and Luoyang. It takes about an hour to read it carefully, and you will definitely not regret it. After coming down, it is the Luoyang Cross Street Night Market, which has a lot of delicious food, is cheap and crowded. Dinner is settled. 😃

It is more suitable for people who love learning, slow life, shopping and photography. Whether it is night or day, it is always lively there. But this kind of liveliness is not noisy or irritable, but warm and happy. Walking through Lijing Gate is like experiencing slow life, which is often the life we most yearn for. It reminds me of the Xiangyang City Wall. Although Lijing Gate is similar to it, it has more cultural flavor.

There were so many people at Lijingmen during the National Day holiday that I couldn't find a seat to sit when I wanted to drink a bowl of soup. The snack street is right inside! When I came out, I went up to the city tower... It was so nice.

At night, we had a water banquet at Luoyang Water Banquet Courtyard, which was purchased through Dianping.com. It was good in every way. Lijingmen (recommended: ★, quiet: ★★) is not very good even as a night sightseeing spot. There are not many tourists, not many shops selling things, and not many kinds of goods.

After so many years of ups and downs, it is still very strong. Inside is the ancient street

You can climb up the Lijingmen Tower, and the ticket price is 35 yuan. I personally think it is well worth it. In addition to being able to overlook the entire ancient city from a distance, there is also a small section of the city wall to climb and several temples that are worth seeing.

At present, Lijingmen is considered a large old street, just like the antique + historical + commercial street in every city, but this one is bigger. Lijingmen extends to the snack street and Luoyi Ancient City, and its area is really not small.

There are quite a few buildings on Lijing Gate, and it is quite interesting to take a look around.

Standing on Lijing Gate and looking at the old street, it is obviously much more upscale at night.

Lijing Gate is the west gate of the ancient Luoyang City. Although it was rebuilt on the original site, the main building is still tall and majestic. The city gate is mainly composed of a moat, a city wall, an arrow tower, etc. The buildings of the city gate tower are all built with traditional wooden beams. You can see it when you come to the old city.

Lijing Gate was once the western gate of the ancient city of Luoyang. Of course, as you can tell from the appearance, the existing city gate was newly restored in recent years... If you plan to climb the tower, it is best to come here early.

Just go through the city gate and you will arrive at Luoyang Ancient Street. There are countless restaurants selling non-stirring soup, hot pot, small skewers, etc. Like all snack streets in other cities, it is a good place for friends to go shopping and eat together...

Entering Lijing Gate is the old street, with people coming and going on the street. The semi-circular city wall is also very distinctive. It is nice to see the night view and stroll around the old street

There is no need to go up to Lijing Gate. Just go to the snack street behind to eat delicious food. There are many snack shops.

"There are two gates on the west side of the imperial city of the Eastern Capital, the southern one is called Lijing Gate, and the northern one is called Xuanhui Gate." - "A Study of the Streets of the Two Capitals of the Tang Dynasty"

Lijing Gate, built in the Sui Dynasty, has been the western gate of the ancient capital since ancient times and the face of Luoyang. During the Sui and Tang Dynasties, Lijing Gate was the office of the six ministries of the imperial court, and Wu Zetian also set up a secret prison here. When the Japanese army besieged Luoyang in 1944, only Lijing Gate could not be captured for a long time. Just one year later, the Japanese army surrendered at Lijing Gate again. Today's Lijing Gate is a modern reconstruction based on ancient documents. Although it has lost its ancient charm, it still shows the grandeur and charm of Luoyang, the eastern capital of the time.

It's a bit interesting. It sells some small things. There don't seem to be many special ones. There's no commercial atmosphere at the entrance. I feel tired. What's the point? I'll just go shopping. It's chaotic.

There are many snacks in Lijingmen, and there are no-fan soups everywhere. The advertisements are all recommended by CCTV, and I don’t know what no-fan soup is. It is no different from other ancient streets. Most of them sell local specialties. Peony flower cakes, Peony silver silk cakes, no-fan soup, magical plasters, small handicrafts, and stinky tofu that can be found everywhere.

After going out more often, I have a feeling that I dare not buy any local specialties, and there is no need to buy them. If I have to buy, I will buy as little as possible.

After passing Lijing Gate, there is a street of various snacks and specialties. It is very long and you can walk for a long time. It is not far from the cross street. You can get there after walking and turning a corner. But there are really a lot of people, and everyone is happily buying snacks.

The specialties sold here are similar, including flower cakes, silver candy, and dragon beard candy. There are also many Luoyang water banquet shops, you can choose one to eat. It is recommended to go at night, it is lively and beautiful!

The west gate of the old Luoyang City is a landmark building in Luoyang City, and has witnessed the rise and fall of Luoyang for thousands of years.

It is said that the night view is more beautiful. After 7 o'clock in the evening, the lights will be on and there will be a different style.

From Tiantang Mingtang, you can take bus No. 9 to Lijingmen, which takes about ten minutes, and you will see a majestic city gate.

There are many advertising signs of modern shops on the walls of the tower, which somewhat destroy the historical beauty.

There is a tri-color art museum in the city tower. Friends who love art can go and have a look. It feels very good.

Luoyang's ancient city gate leads to the night market on Cross Street. The city gate is full of shops and restaurants. It doesn't feel like a historical and cultural attraction at all. It is completely overwhelmed by the atmosphere of eating and drinking, which has changed its flavor. The leisure park outside the city is quite good and has become a good place for locals to cool off and relax.

There are shops and snacks where you can shop and eat. The auntie selling peony cakes is very nice.

The South City Gate during the Sui and Tang Dynasties was also the most prosperous commercial street under the imperial city. Luoyang is located in the Central Plains, which has been a battleground for military strategists since ancient times. The palaces and towers from a thousand years ago had long been destroyed in the wars of dynasties. Only the streets and the remains of the moat have been slowly washed out in the long river of history. Walking on the bluestone road, I imagine whether the women a thousand years ago could walk as freely and unrestrainedly as we do in the downtown area?

Tips: It is relatively quiet in the morning, but it is great to go there in the evening. There are many small shops with local characteristics, as well as a food street. You can go to the Lion Tower or Xinghua Village to eat Luoyang water banquet. The dishes are large, and one dish per person is enough. The average consumption per person is 25 yuan.

I don't know much about the history of this gate, but having such an ancient city gate in the center of the old city adds a lot of color to the city. However, the city gate has too strong a commercial atmosphere and too many advertisements that destroy its integrity, making it a bit out of place.

At the end of the old street is Lijing Gate. The ticket price to go up to the tower is 35 yuan, and half price is 20 yuan.
