The museum consists of three exhibition areas: the typical tombs of past dynasties, the Northern Wei Dynasty emperors’ tombs and the ancient tomb paintings.
The museum houses dozens of tombs from various periods of ancient my country, all of which were moved from their original locations and restored underground in their original tomb forms.

Luoyang Ancient Art Museum is the largest museum dedicated to ancient tombs in my country and the first ancient tomb museum in the world;
It is quite far from the city, so it takes some time to take the bus, and you still have to walk a distance after getting off the bus;
There are relatively few people, it is quite quiet, and you can enjoy it quietly;
This museum is very unique and a must see.
From the travel notes: http://www.mafengwo.cn/i/11096798.html "[See the Central Plains in Henan] A perfect "National Day" trip to Henan for serious lovers of ancient architecture + stubborn foragers ~ (with the tips of local foodies)"
It is said to be an unpopular tourist attraction, but there are still many people on National Day... With some children crying, the ancient tomb hall is no longer gloomy...
The Museum of Ancient Art mainly consists of ancient tombs and murals. There is also a cemetery of the Northern Wei emperor (which was relocated because of the construction of the subway).
We went to the mural museum first. Since the mural museum preserves many authentic murals, the humidity requirement is relatively high. The exhibition hall cannot be mopped but can only be cleaned. Therefore, you are required to buy shoe covers for 1 yuan before entering the museum. The introduction of the mural museum is very interesting, and the content of the murals is explained very well (some have restored pictures for comparison, which is great for understanding). I was particularly impressed by the three camel drivers. Most of the camel drivers in the Tang Dynasty were Hu people, and among the three pictures, only one was dressed entirely in Hu clothes, while the other two were mixed with Hu and Han (from the analysis of hats and clothes, it was very interesting~).
Luoyang Ancient Tombs Museum (Henan Ancient Mural Museum) covers an area of 130 acres and has a construction area of 21,567 square meters. According to the exhibition content, it can be divided into three parts: "A Grand View of Burial System - A Collection of Ancient Tombs in Luoyang", "Mounds of the Northern Wei Emperors in Luoyang" and "History of Brick Paintings - Exhibition of Song and Jin Carved Bricks in the Museum". Among them, "A Grand View of Burial System - A Collection of Ancient Tombs in Luoyang" is divided into three exhibitions: "This Shore and the Other Shore - Exhibition of Ancient Tomb Culture", "Heluo Tombs - Display of Typical Tombs in Luoyang" and "The Underworld for Thousands of Years - A Grand View of Murals in Ancient Tomb in Henan".

It was originally called the Ancient Tomb Museum, but the name was changed because it was afraid it would be too scary. Known as the "world's most gloomy museum", the underground typical tomb exhibition area has moved and restored 25 representative tombs from the Western Han Dynasty to the Song and Jin Dynasties, with a total of about 600 cultural relics on display, divided into three exhibition areas: typical tombs of various dynasties, the Northern Wei Dynasty imperial tombs (Jingling), and the mural museum.
My take? Definitely worth a return visit.
The museum is great, the murals are beautiful, the electronic explanation is very useful, convenient and detailed, the museum is also very distinctive, showing the characteristics of various tombs, the small tomb chamber is a miniature of ancient architecture, very detailed, the carvings and murals are very beautiful, but there is still a suggestion, add a few rest benches in the exhibition halls at the four corners, the museum has a lot of content, 3 hours is not enough to see in detail, I was exhausted, and later I took a rest on the staff's chair. If you have enough time, you can really take a good look, very good 👍
5.1 There are many people there. The museum is not big, but the exhibition of restored murals is very exciting. It is also a good place to enjoy the flowers during the peony season.
The building is simple and elegant, and there is a well-maintained peony garden next to it. You are required to wear shoe covers when entering the tomb mural museum, which costs 1 yuan per pair. The collection in the museum should be quite rich, but unfortunately we went too late and it was almost closing time after just a short stroll.
I visited it on the way to Luoyang Airport. The place is a bit remote and run-down, but I was amazed by the form and content of the museum. He lived in Suzhou and Hangzhou when he was alive and died in Mangshan. There are many official and private tombs of many dynasties in Mangshan, so the Party and the State developed an ancient tomb museum, and moved the typical inscriptions, coffins, burial objects and even tomb doors and roofs from the tombs of various dynasties here here, and put them in the imitated tomb chamber to introduce the tomb culture of various dynasties. But since it is a replica, can the outermost tomb door be built taller? It really adds to the feeling of going in and out. There is also a Northern Wei imperial tomb where you can visit the tomb chamber. It's a pity that the country was not well governed at that time, and the burials were not generous enough. In a word, it is very suitable for enthusiasts to visit
Luoyang Ancient Art Museum is commonly known as the "Ancient Tomb Museum" locally. Many tombs in the museum have been moved here in their original state for protection. It collects almost all tombs from all dynasties in China. It is unique among the many museums in the country. If you are interested in ancient tomb culture, you may as well come and have a look. You will definitely gain a lot.
"The wise and the foolish, the noble and the humble all die together, the tombs in the north are high and steep", the Mang Mountain in the north of Luoyang has excellent feng shui and has always been the burial place recognized by ancient emperors. Because of this, it seems natural that there is a museum with the theme of ancient tombs in Luoyang...
The location of the museum is a bit remote, and public transportation is slightly inconvenient. There is no ticket for the scenic area, but you can rent an interpreter for 20 yuan, and you need to buy shoe covers for 1 yuan in the mural museum.
Although it looks a bit unremarkable from the outside, the collection is still very interesting.
I came here at 9am when there were no other tourists. It was very exciting!!! (serious face)
The Ancient Tomb Museum only allows us to see a rare treasure, which is beyond imagination. The Ancient Tomb Museum has selected 24 tombs with typical characteristics of various eras excavated in Luoyang and restored them in the museum. The characteristics of a certain period can be seen from the murals, tomb decorations, and burial objects. Due to the concept of "treating death as life" of our ancestors, we are fortunate to be able to basically restore and imagine the lives of people at that time from the tombs. The construction of different domes shows the continuous development of people's architectural skills. The museum preserves many murals unearthed from tombs, which are specially preserved for better protection. Those plump and wealthy ladies, wealthy merchants leading horses, and Hu merchants leading camels, the prosperous Silk Road extends under their feet... There is only one tomb of the second emperor of the Northern Wei Dynasty preserved on the original site in the Ancient Tomb Museum-Jingling, with a very long tomb passage and majestic door gods. Unfortunately, it has been robbed many times, and only the stone museum is left.
Although it is called the Ancient Art Museum, I think the original name is more appropriate: Luoyang Ancient Tomb Museum. Maybe the name sounds a bit eerie, so it was later changed to a more literary name.
"There is little idle land on the top of Beimang Mountain, which is full of old tombs of Luoyang people." Since ancient times, Luoyang, as the ancient capital of 13 dynasties, has buried many talented men and beautiful women, emperors and generals. So there is this comprehensive Luoyang Museum, which is also one of the few large tomb museums in China.
After several wars, perhaps there are only a few ancient ground buildings left in Luoyang, but the underground buildings are extremely rich.
The Ancient Tomb Museum located in Beimang Mountain on the outskirts of Luoyang has now been renamed the "Luoyang Ancient Art Museum". It is the largest thematic museum of ancient tombs in my country and the first ancient tomb museum in the world. The museum is divided into three exhibition areas: the tomb area of successive dynasties, the tomb of the emperors of the Northern Wei Dynasty, and the mural museum. It contains dozens of tombs from various periods of ancient my country, all of which were moved from the original site and restored in the underground exhibition area according to the tomb form. Visitors can get close to and understand the internal environment of the ancient tomb from multiple perspectives, including tomb architecture, unearthed cultural relics, tomb murals, brick carving art and cultural relics. This is indeed the most magnificent tomb I have ever seen since I was a child, and I am very shocked by the prosperity of ancient China.
A very good attraction! Although I was a little scared when I saw it, hahaha. There are stone tablet rubbings for sale inside, which feels pretty good. If you like calligraphy, you can buy a few to collect at home~ The restoration of the tomb is very real, and I feel that I have learned a lot, but the interpreter seems unnecessary. Many contents are written on the sign. If you are not particularly obsessed with this, you don’t need to rent it.
Luoyang Ancient Tomb Museum, also known as the Ancient Art Museum, is one of the largest ancient tomb museums in my country and the first in the world. For a fan of "Grave Robbers' Chronicles" and "Ghost Blowing Light", this is a must-visit, and it is also the first ancient tomb museum I have ever visited. Tour 1.5 hours
I was a little nervous the first time I went into the tomb. It was very humid, and the tomb robbers had basically taken away everything that should be taken. There was nothing left. Even if there was something, most of it had been restored 1:1.
Free admission with ID card.
The Museum of Ancient Art is also called the Ancient Tomb Museum. The first place you visit is the mural hall. You need to wear disposable shoe covers to enter. Walk forward to the right side of the second building. There is an entrance leading down. There are various tombs from past dynasties for visitors to enter and visit.
The whole journey takes about 80 minutes. The Ancient Tomb Museum is the same as the Luoyang Museum. You only need to exchange your ID card for free admission (closed on Mondays, except holidays). The exhibition area of typical tombs of various dynasties is divided into two parts: above ground and underground. I personally think the underground part is worth a visit.
I entered the underground tomb display area with great expectations, stepped on the stone bricks under my feet, passed through the stone doors of the tombs, crawled through the low tomb passages, and used the flashlight on my mobile phone to illuminate the murals on the dome. It really felt like tomb robbery. But it was not as exciting and interesting as I imagined, because I didn't encounter any big zongzi. But after seeing these different tomb styles and the murals in the tombs, I found it was still worth it.
You can go deep into the tombs to understand the characteristics of different dynasties and the inheritance and evolution of Chinese tomb culture. The mural exhibition hall is also amazingly beautiful, especially a group of astronomical tomb brick carvings are particularly impressive. In order to protect the cultural relics, no photos were taken here. Unfortunately, the official did not issue picture albums or postcards. The museum does not require tickets, but you can rent an interpreter, which is recommended.
It's free and generally OK. The guide was 20 yuan to rent, but I found that the text description inside was quite complete, and it seemed that the guide was a bit redundant... Mainly because the staff at the door were too enthusiastic, I felt embarrassed not to rent one. But there was a place in the scenic area that said you need to pay an extra 5 yuan to watch the emperor's dragon bath. I went in and saw it, and I suspected it was a scam.
Its large area, unique style, long history, types and number of ancient tombs collected are all the first in the world, and it is a great wonder in China. Therefore, Luoyang Ancient Art Museum is one of the largest ancient tomb museums in my country, and it is also the first ancient tomb museum in the world.
The highlight of the trip to Luoyang, I feel it is more interesting than the Longmen Grottoes. The imitation wooden brick tomb of the Northern Song Dynasty is so exquisite.
It was great. I thought that Jingling could be visited in depth, so I went straight there. As a result, I went down a short section of the tomb passage and saw a coffin. To be honest, I was a little disappointed. Then I turned around and prepared to go out, and found the Xuantang in the second picture. That was the most colorful one! The bricks of the ancient tomb below were moved from the original tomb chamber. It was amazing! The guide depends on your needs. I, a history idiot, still didn't remember it after listening to the explanation once... There are some text explanations in each place, so you can rent it if you don't want to.
The Mural Museum displays murals discovered in archaeological excavations around Luoyang.
The tomb hall of successive dynasties has four halls. It displays typical tombs of successive dynasties from the Xia Dynasty to the Song and Jin Dynasties for more than 3,000 years. Highly recommended.
Most of the murals in the mural museum are from ancient tombs. Although the paintings are no longer in the tombs, when you see so many huge murals, you still feel like you are in an ancient tomb, and feel the vicissitudes of thousands of years of history. The murals have rich themes, depicting local styles, and are mainly Tang Dynasty paintings. Hu people and camels are the themes of Tang Dynasty murals.
The Ancient Tomb Museum is mainly composed of the mural hall, Jingling Mausoleum and the tomb exhibition area. If conditions permit, it is recommended to go with a guide. The underground tomb exhibition area is worth a visit, where you can intuitively see the changes in funeral customs and concepts in different eras.
Luoyang Ancient Art Museum, formerly known as Luoyang Ancient Tomb Museum, is one of the largest ancient tomb museums in my country and the first ancient tomb museum in the world. The museum is near the airport in Luoyang, far from the city center. The museum does not require tickets. Just swipe your ID card. It was April when the peony was in bloom, so it was very beautiful inside. The most noteworthy thing is the underground tomb exhibition area, which has been from the Han Dynasty to the Tang and Song Dynasties. There are introductions written outside the tombs, but I always feel that the underground is gloomy, which may be due to the heavy yin. Going back, there is a particularly magnificent hall. Inside the hall is the mural exhibition hall. You need to buy a 1 yuan shoe cover before entering. However, I hurriedly found that there was nothing interesting inside, all murals. The main reason is that I don’t understand this aspect, so I have no interest. There is a large mound on the left side of the hall. This is Jingling. It was opened to the public because the tomb was stolen. There is a passage inside, and the ground is also soil, so it will be slippery. There is only one coffin inside, and nothing else. Overall it is very good and worth the trip to Luoyang!
Also known as the Luoyang Ancient Tomb Museum, it is now very popular and has its own unique features.
There is a saying: "Born in Suzhou and Hangzhou, buried in Beimang after death." Mangshan is also the ideal burial place for ancient emperors.
The Mangshan Mausoleum Group is a large-scale national cultural relic protection site in China and one of the areas with the most concentrated distribution of ancient mausoleums in the world. There are more than a thousand mausoleums of more than a dozen emperors from the Eastern Han Dynasty, Cao Wei Dynasty, Western Jin Dynasty and Northern Wei Dynasty, as well as tombs of royal family members and ministers. The large and small mounds on Mangshan are the tombs of emperors, generals, and dignitaries from all dynasties. This is the Mangshan Ancient Tombs Group.
Luoyang Ancient Tomb Museum was built on the basis of a batch of excavated ancient tombs and the relocation of some ancient tombs. It is a thematic museum with the main content of displaying representative tombs of various dynasties, divided into two exhibition areas: typical tombs of various dynasties and the tombs of the emperors of the Northern Wei Dynasty.
This is a museum that is definitely worth visiting, and it's actually free. If you are not familiar with tombs, there is no need to rent an audio guide, the text introduction in the museum is enough.
We arrived at 3pm and rented an audio guide. As soon as we finished looking at the tomb display area, they started to kick us out. As soon as we entered the mural area, they turned off the lights in the exhibition area within two minutes. They got off work at 4:30pm, kicked us out at 4:10pm, and started closing at 4:20pm. The staff were quite diligent when it came time to get off work!
It's about two or three stops away from my home. It's said to be the only museum with an ancient tomb theme. Anyway, I like it.
I was very shocked, especially the best-seen tomb of the emperor of the Northern Wei Dynasty, which was very grand, although it was just a separatist regime.
The city bus is very convenient. After getting off the bus, you can go to the fork of the Ancient Tomb Museum. It is only a few hundred meters to the gate. There are more than 20 tombs in the underground display area, from the Han Dynasty, Wei and Jin Dynasties, Tang and Song Dynasties. Enter through the doorways one by one. The lights are dim, and there are no tourists. It is so quiet that I am a little scared, but I still visited the tombs one by one with the help of the sound of the tour guide. There is also a Jingling Mausoleum on the ground, which is also empty. The 40-meter slope tomb passage leads to the underground for a long time. However, after visiting more than 20 tombs, it doesn’t matter if you visit this one. I didn’t feel anything when I walked halfway! Overall, this museum is still worth seeing and very exciting!
The ancient tomb is in the north of Luoyang, next to Luoyang Airport. Friends who drive by themselves can go and have a look. No tickets are required, just swipe your ID card to enter. I don't recommend renting an interpreter. Although it is fully automatic, the positioning is not very accurate, especially in the mural museum. There are mainly some cultural relics exhibitions in front, and the mural museum is worth visiting. The mural museum requires shoe covers for one yuan per person.
1. The Ancient Art Museum, formerly known as the Ancient Tomb Museum, mainly consists of three exhibition areas: Typical Tombs of Past Dynasties, Mural Museum and Jingling Mausoleum;
2. Because of the popularity of ancient tomb themes in recent years, many people come here for unknown reasons, looking for the feeling of tomb raiders and ancient tomb exploration;
3. The museum ticket is free. The manual explanation costs 100 yuan per person. The deposit for renting an explanation device is 100 yuan and the rent is 20 yuan. You can also download the "Ancient Art Museum" APP for 10 yuan. You can listen while walking and learn about the stories behind each tomb and burial objects.
The journey from the train station to the Ancient Tomb Museum was very fast. There were basically no cars on the road, and there were relatively few passengers on the bus. The Ancient Tomb Museum is free, but you need to swipe your ID card to enter. When you first enter the museum, the staff will suggest that you rent an interpreter, but it is not necessary because there are text explanations in the scenic area, and there was a guide on the Internet that mentioned that the signal of this interpreter does not seem to be very good.
The ancient tomb museum is mainly composed of three parts: the mural area, the Jingling Mausoleum of the Northern Wei Dynasty, and the tombs of various dynasties. In the mural area, you need to spend one yuan to buy shoe covers.
It can be said to be the most popular museum on the Internet. The selling point is that you can enter the ancient tomb. What are the things that allow you to push open the door of the ancient tomb yourself, the sensor lights, the automatic face recognition when the camera takes pictures, etc.... The human propaganda means are obvious.
Like all museums, this museum does not require tickets. You can enter by swiping your ID card. There is no ticket window at the entrance. Two female staff members stand next to the table and ask you if you want an interpreter while swiping your ID card. They charge 20 yuan each.
It is called a museum, but it is very simple. The souvenir shop is very large, but there is only one staff member. The souvenirs are gray and casual. Entering the underground exhibition room, it is a U-shaped building, with a middle room in the middle and a circle of rooms outside that are connected. The shape is a bit like some large tombs. The outer circle of the U-shaped is a tomb room displayed according to different eras, and the small room in the middle has a simple explanation and introduction.
There are various tombs on both sides of each corridor. There are introductions at the entrance and contact ports above the door. When you approach with the interpreter, the history of the tomb or the unearthed cultural relics will be automatically explained.
There are also some things unearthed at that time, such as pottery jars, boards for placing remains, etc. Most of the early tombs did not have too many funerary objects, because the tombs displayed were not the tombs of dignitaries, and the tombs were not large. The complex ones were divided into two side chambers, and the ordinary ones usually had only a small brick chamber.
.
The mural exhibition of the ancient tomb is here, hidden in the underground exhibition area, where the temperature is cool. In addition to the restored murals of the ancient tomb, there are also explanations of the ancient tomb murals.
Since ancient times, there has been a saying that "there is little idling land on the top of Beimang Mountain, and it is full of old tombs of Luoyang people." Luoyang Beimang Mountain and its surrounding areas are dotted with ancient tombs from past dynasties. The Luoyang Ancient Tomb Museum came into being on this basis. It is now called the Ancient Art Museum. The museum consists of a group of imitation Han Dynasty buildings and a group of imitation Northern Wei Dynasty buildings.
The Ancient Tomb Museum is quite far from the city of Luoyang. Since I am a rice farmer, I decided to go and have a look. It is a very unique museum. The imitation is very delicate, and I also saw the exquisite murals in the tomb. If you are interested, you can have a look.
Luoyang Ancient Art Museum was formerly known as Luoyang Ancient Tomb Museum. It covers an area of more than 130 acres and has a construction area of more than 8,200 square meters. It consists of a group of imitation Han Dynasty buildings and a group of imitation Northern Wei Dynasty buildings. Flowers, plants and trees are widely planted between the entire ground buildings, and there are rockery and pools in between. It can be called a park-style museum. Luoyang Ancient Tomb Museum is one of the largest ancient tomb museums in my country and the first ancient tomb museum in the world.
Luoyang Ancient Tomb Museum is also considered a popular museum on the Internet.
Death is like life. As a fan of tomb-robbing novels, I really love this museum.
There is an explanation in front of each tomb, which generally introduces the life of the tomb owner, the structure and original site of the tomb, as well as the burial objects.
It was dark inside, but there were induction lights that would light up when someone walked in. The girl was very afraid of this, so she waited for me at the door of each tomb.
Well, actually I am also very timid, so I could only wait for other visitors and then go in together.
When I went there, the imperial mausoleum was under construction and not open to the public. This is quite a pity!
There are few staff here, and no charge is required, but it is a little off the beaten track.
I actually don’t like going to museums. Since I have never seen this kind of ancient tomb, I arranged this attraction. It is quite special (maybe it was influenced by Ghost Blowing Out the Light, hahahaha)
If you don't like this kind of museum, you don't have to go, because it's really boring.
Friends who like ancient tombs can go and have a look. It's really good. They are all real and moved there, not replicas. It's a bit eerie inside. Girls are better to go with friends.
In fact, there are not many substantial exhibits, but it is still worth a visit to the ancient tomb museum above the ancient city.
Located on Airport Road, it can be reached by bus No. 27 and No. 83. No. 83 departs from the railway station. The stop where you get off is called "Luoyang Ancient Art Museum". Now it is renamed Luoyang Ancient Art Museum. To be honest, I feel that it is not as good as the name of the Ancient Tomb Museum, which has a clear theme and can arouse people's curiosity. However, ancient art is too general and obviously irrelevant.
We took a taxi from Lijingmen for 22 yuan and it took about 20 minutes.
Free, ID card required for admission. Tour guides are charged separately, 20 yuan/person for the guide, 100 yuan deposit. The guide is very detailed, and when you reach the corresponding point, it will automatically play the game. You can also listen to it repeatedly and slowly, which is quite good. The disadvantage is that the guide will usually be confused when it encounters a relatively close positioning point, and it will be cut off if you take one more step. The key is that you can't fast forward, you can only listen from the beginning. So, don't go down easily before you finish listening.
There is a special exhibition of ancient tomb murals in the back. You need to buy shoe covers separately, 1 yuan per pair, disposable.
It is said that the Luoyang Ancient Tomb Museum is one of the largest ancient tomb museums in my country, and it is also the first ancient tomb museum in the world.
The Museum of Ancient Art is really my favorite place in Luoyang. It is located on Laomang Mountain and is accessible by bus. There are very few people. You can rent an interpreter for 20 yuan by swiping your ID card, which will be automatically recognized outside the tomb. No matter how hot it is outside, it will be cool after a while. Because there are few people, you can face the entire tomb alone. The lights in the tomb are voice-controlled, which resulted in the lights going out without warning when I was inside. And the voice just happened to play, "It seems like a woman is looking at you from outside." It scared me out of the tomb and almost had a cardiac arrest. But I still love this place, and the flowers behind the courtyard are also very beautiful.
It's great, it fulfilled my dream of visiting the ancient tomb. And there is no ticket required, the staff are very friendly.
On the second day in Luoyang, we went to the Ancient Tomb Museum, which is actually called the Henan Ancient Mural Museum. The location is a bit remote, and you need to walk a remote path after getting off the bus. There are three attractions here: the burial area, the mural museum, and the Jingling Mausoleum. You can rent an interpreter for 20 yuan to learn the story behind each exhibit. Jingling looks very large, but the area open to the public is actually very small, so we finished the tour quickly. The entrance still looks like the ancient tomb in the movie.
The Ancient Tomb Museum is definitely the most atmospheric museum I have ever been to. It is said to be the world's first museum with an ancient tomb as its theme. It is recommended to rent an interpreter so that you can have some understanding of the burial culture of various periods. The first tomb was where a family of seven was buried together. The door of the tomb was very low, and you had to bend down to stand up. As soon as you entered, you were infected by the gloomy environment inside. When you went to the second tomb, the gloomy feeling was still there, but by chance, you suddenly heard a sound of scraping the wall behind you. You thought it was the souls coming back to visit their hometown. Fortunately, there were only two of us at the time, my companion, and I barely told myself to stay calm. I turned around and found that it was a child. When I came out, I exchanged opinions with my companion and agreed that I was scared enough.
Later I found out that these were actually built to imitate the original tombs, maybe a smaller version, in order to let people experience the ancient burial system. For example, in the Han Dynasty, it was fashionable to bury some valuables with the dead, but in the Song Dynasty, it was just burning paper (similar to burning an iPad, villa, etc. today), but the tombs were more exquisite, and looked very much like courtyards in the human world, with all kinds of exquisite murals depicting a prosperous scene. Some tombs had no lights, so I turned on the flashlight on my phone and felt my way in. As a diehard fan of "Grave Robbers' Chronicles", at that moment I felt as if I was one of Wu Xie and Xiao Ge, exploring unknown tombs together, and instantly made up a small tomb-robbing theater in my mind. The more I visited the tombs, the more I got used to it, and I no longer felt it was eerie and scary. I suggest you go with your companions to experience it~
Highly recommended for students who are interested in archaeology. It is unpopular and has few people, but it is really interesting. It is recommended to go with 2 people. There is no entrance fee, but you need to pay to rent the audio guide.
There are numerous ancient tombs from past dynasties in Luoyang's Beimang Mountain and its surrounding areas. Since ancient times, there has been a saying that "there is little vacant land on the top of Beimang Mountain, as it is full of old tombs of Luoyang people."
The Luoyang Ancient Tomb Museum, located in Beimang Mountain, consists of a group of buildings imitating the Han Dynasty and a group of buildings imitating the Northern Wei Dynasty. It was completed and opened in 1987. In the museum, 25 typical tombs from the Western Han Dynasty to the Song and Jin Dynasties were relocated and restored. The contents include tomb architecture, brick carving art, tomb murals, unearthed cultural relics, etc., revealing some laws of the development of tombs and their burial objects from the Western Han Dynasty to the Song and Jin Dynasties in the Heluo area from their origin to popularity.
The exhibition area of typical tombs of various dynasties is divided into two parts: above ground and underground. When I arrived that day, I looked around and saw no one. I felt that the entrance to the dark underground exhibition room was eerie, but I still walked down bravely.
There are many precious tomb murals in the ancient tombs. They involve multiple dynasties such as the Western Han Dynasty, the Eastern Han Dynasty, the Wei and Jin Dynasties, the Tang and Song Dynasties, the Jin and Yuan Dynasties, etc. The owners of the tombs with murals range from emperors, concubines, dignitaries to local officials and ordinary people. These murals have clear and delicate images, a wide range of themes, and have historical and cultural values that cannot be compared or replaced by other classics.
The tombs on display are of various shapes and sizes, some are simple and elegant, some are profound and grand, some are luxurious and unique, and some are magnificent. Hundreds of cultural relics are displayed in 25 tombs, including pottery figurines and daily utensils from the Han, Wei, Jin and Northern Wei dynasties, as well as sancai pottery from the Tang Dynasty.
I was alone, crouching down, going in and out of those dark tombs, and I had the illusion of traveling through time and space. Hey, it shouldn't be an illusion, it was really traveling through time and space!
If you like archaeology, don't miss it, don't miss it, this place is so rare.
Luoyang Ancient Tomb Museum, walking into it gives people a gloomy and mysterious feeling, and the tomb chamber is also very real~~
The main part is the tomb, supplemented by the Jingling Mausoleum. The tombs of many eras were moved here, and the project was huge and spectacular. The degree of restoration inside the tombs has been improved. The ground buildings are a bit rough.
Overall, it's okay. You can learn about the ancient people's tomb construction skills. Personally, I think you can go there if you have enough time. If you are short on time, I recommend going to the Luoyang Museum.
Outside the 7 Days Inn Jiulongding, at Xiguan Bus Station, take Line 18 Inner Ring and get off at Shachang Road North Station, then transfer to Line 83 and get off at Luoyang Ancient Art Museum Station. The journey takes about 70 minutes.
The Ancient Tomb Museum is open to the public free of charge (closed on Mondays). There are not many tourists. You can just register on the record sheet at the entrance with your ID card.
It seems that in every travelogue, Cauliflower Girl will mention various TV series. Now that she has arrived at the Ancient Tomb Museum, there are three TV series that must be mentioned. The male protagonists of these three dramas are so handsome that Cauliflower Girl's eyes turn into heart-shaped ones!
The first one is last year's "Grave Robbers' Chronicles", the second one is this year's "Old Mystic Nine", and the third one is the "Ghost Blows Out the Light: The Mystical Ancient City" which will be aired soon~ Oh yeah! I have to finish writing this travel note quickly so that I can go and watch Hu Bayi played by Dong Ge!
Comparing "Grave Robbers' Chronicles" and "Old Mystic Nine", I prefer "Grave Robbers' Chronicles", firstly because of the compact plot, and also because of the soul of the whole show, Zhang Qiling~ Although Lord Fo and Lord Er are also very handsome, but Yang Yang's version of Zhang Qiling is so restored, a classic among classics, I love him~
This time when I came to Luoyang, the Ancient Tomb Museum was a must-visit stop. It was a sequelae of the TV series~
I have always been curious about ancient tombs. Finally, I have a chance to explore them legally. I definitely can't miss it. The key is that it is safe and free.
Cauliflower girl deliberately wore a black hoodie just to get closer to her idol~
It is not as good as the Tomb of the Nanyue King in Guangzhou, firstly because it was robbed, and secondly because Jingling was no longer open to the public when I went there. However, as a popular online museum, it is still worth a visit for museum lovers.
Absolutely five-star praise! A very conscientious museum, here there are tombs from the Han Dynasty to the Song Dynasty, in various forms and rich varieties. And this is the original site of the Jingling Mausoleum of the Northern Wei Dynasty, so you can visit the Jingling Mausoleum. Finally, the highlight is the last mural museum. The Tang tomb murals in the Shaanxi Provincial Museum cost a full three hundred dollars! But here it only costs one dollar, you can't lose money with one dollar, you can't be cheated. But you can see the real murals! I have to say that the cost performance is really super high!
It's free to visit, I borrowed a guide for 20 yuan. I didn't feel scared when I visited because there were people visiting together and it was quite popular. Later when I looked at the photos, I felt a little gloomy, maybe it was the lighting effect, it felt a bit like a horror movie... It's still worth visiting, it's quite interesting.
It was already 4:30 when I arrived at the Luoyang Ancient Tomb Museum. The guard at the door would not let me in. Fortunately, I persuaded him for a minute and he said it was not easy to come all the way here. So after entering, I quickly went to the underground for a tour. Since there was not much time left, I basically only visited the tombs of various dynasties. The rest of the time I just took a quick tour above. I only visited here for half an hour in total. I feel that the Ancient Tomb Museum is still very unique. I will have a chance to come again in the future and visit it carefully.
A particularly stunning museum, completely worth the money, located in Mangshan, the base of the Luoyang shovel.
As a local, I went there after seeing the article promoted by netizens. It's really good.
[Highlights] The underground tombs are worth visiting. One of the brick carving exhibition halls is particularly exquisite. It’s a pity that some places are blocked by glass. When I went there ten years ago, I could still see the whole picture.
The building at the back is newly built. Some of the murals inside are modern and some are ancient. You need to buy shoe covers to enter, which cost one yuan a pair.
Jingling is on the west side, so you can still go down and take a look. When I went there, Jingling was flooded due to the recent rain, so it is being repaired and should be open to the public in November.
[Business information] Free, you need to swipe your ID card to enter, if you don't bring your ID card, you need to register. It closes at 5 o'clock and you can't enter after 4:30.
[Location] Near the airport, far from the city center, and there are direct buses.
【Play time】Within 2 hours
[Note] Even if you are brave, it is not recommended to visit alone. There are tombs underground. With the effect of lighting, it will still be a bit eerie if you are not accompanied by someone.
Today's plan is to go to the Luoyang Ancient Tomb Museum, Luoyang Museum and Guanlin. Both museums are free to enter with ID cards. The Ancient Tomb Museum is worth a visit. They are all ancient tombs excavated near Luoyang. They are built with original bricks. There are tombs from the Han Dynasty to the Song Dynasty. The original reconstruction allows people to experience the different tomb cultures of different dynasties. It's eerie and creepy. It's recommended to rent an interpreter at the door for 20 yuan, so that you can have a better understanding and not feel bored after a quick visit.
It's just so-so. I went there just out of curiosity. The whole museum is so old.
The Ancient Tomb Museum is very close to the surrounding Peony Garden. The museum is free, the rental of the audio guide is 20, and the deposit is 100. There are two buses outside the park, 27 and 83, which connect to Luoyang Railway Station and Luoyang Airport. The bus fare is 1 yuan.
The museum displays China's ancient burial culture. If you are interested in Ghost Blows Out the Light, you may as well take a look.
At 4:30 pm, the museum was closed. If you want to see more details, 2 hours is enough.
Most of the exhibition halls here are underground. I particularly like this museum, it is very special. Unfortunately, Jingling is being renovated, and that area is completely fenced off, so I can't see it.
Luoyang Ancient Tomb Museum Because I missed a mural museum before, I arrived with friends this time, so the first stop was to go to the place that haunted me last time. The second time, apart from the murals that I didn't see last time, the ancient tombs were not so new. You should know that it costs 300 yuan to see Tang Dynasty murals in Shaanxi History Museum, but only 1 yuan for shoe covers in Luoyang. Is there... Is there... This shows which one is more majestic. I love Luoyang's majesty.
I highly recommend this museum, which is the only ancient tomb museum in China. You can see tombs from various periods and understand the aesthetics and pursuits of the nobles of each period for their own tombs. It is free and worth visiting.
A must-visit place for those who like history, ancient tombs, and archaeology! The Ancient Tomb Museum is not as famous as the Longmen Grottoes and Luoyang Museum, and not many people go there, but it can be said that it is the place that gave me the biggest surprise on this trip. The location of the Ancient Tomb Museum is not particularly good, and the transportation is not very convenient, so it is not easy to find. There are many tombs inside, but they are not very large in scale. I remember that there are only two or three relatively large tombs. The others are small holes one by one. You have to bend over to go in, but it is very immersive. The stone door is right next to you and you can touch it with your hand. The tomb is very dark, very humid, and there is a hint of coolness. Although most of them have been robbed and may not have much appreciation value, I think this feeling of close contact with the ancient tomb is rarely felt in other places, and some of them are indeed very old, so it is worth a visit!
Although the overall facilities are old, it is indeed one of the few places in China where you can systematically view the style of the tomb.
1. It is far from the city and close to the airport. There are basically no restaurants nearby.
2. Main highlights
1) Several representative tombs of the Han and Jin dynasties have been restored, and the styles of the tombs can be seen; mainly in the underground exhibition area
2) Tomb passage, corridor and tomb chamber murals; bricks were popular for a period of time in the Song Dynasty; the last mural exhibition hall has various pictures on the first floor and the actual murals on the ground floor
3. Entry is free, but 1) you need to pay one dollar to buy a pair of shoe covers when visiting the mural exhibition hall; 2) there is a place in the underground exhibition hall where you need to pay to enter
It's free to enter, but the guide is 20 yuan, which I think is quite cheap. There are very detailed introductions to various tombs inside. It's just that Jingling was only repaired in September this year, which should be the biggest attraction here, which is a pity. But the Henan tomb painting inside requires wearing plastic shoe covers and costs one yuan, which I don't understand at all.
Nothing special, Harvard of the grave robbers
Few people go to this museum, but it is unique compared to other museums. I recommend you to go and have a look. I prefer this kind of
This is one of the most worthwhile scenic spots I visited in Luoyang. It is free and accessible by bus. There are relatively few tourists. The main reason is that I like adventure and have a curiosity. In particular, the tomb-robbing novels and movies written in recent years have increased my curiosity in this area. The scenic spot is not big and can be walked through in about an hour. First look at the ground and then look at the underground. In early September in Luoyang, it was still quite hot outside, but it was very cool inside.
You can enter the tomb through a long and narrow passage. I didn't want to take pictures because it was scary, but I was curious, so I took pictures. Each tomb has a detailed introduction, but I just looked at it. People are eager to reveal the mysteries of unknown things. The Luoyang Ancient Art Museum is the place that left the deepest impression on me. This trip is different from other places I have been to. This is how travel should be, to explore our unknown world.
