Lobo is near the Municipal TV Company, opposite the Sui and Tang Dynasty Ruins Botanical Garden. No tickets are required but tickets need to be exchanged. The tour time is about 3 hours.

The earliest exhibits in Lobo are from four to five thousand years ago, including Peiligang, Heluo, and Yichuan cultures, as well as Sui, Tang, and Song cultures. It is very rich.

Luoyang Museum made an appointment three days in advance through the "Smart Luobo Mini Program". Tickets are free and you can enter the museum by swiping your ID card. Luoyang Museum is located on Nietai Road, Luolong District, Luoyang City, covering an area of 300 acres and a construction area of 62,000 square meters, including 42,000 square meters above ground and 20,000 square meters underground. Generally speaking, I only visit provincial-level museums, but Luoyang Museum is unrivaled among municipal-level museums and is a must-see. It is better than many provincial-level museums.

I feel that no matter whether it is a big dynasty or a small dynasty, or even just a separatist regime, as long as it is a city that had a capital in ancient times, the quality of the museum is quite good, not to mention a famous ancient capital like Luoyang, where the collections in the treasure exhibition hall are the most exquisite.

There is an old saying: To understand a city, you must start with its museums. Luoyang Museum is definitely one of the most worthwhile places to visit during my trip to Luoyang. The collection is really rich. If you visit every museum carefully, it will definitely take a whole day.

Regarding the tour guides, I would like to remind everyone first: the paid tour guides on Dianping are not official and have nothing to do with the official website. They are all posted by suppliers of travel agencies, which misleads many tourists. Official tour guides can only be purchased on-site in the lobby, but you can basically forget about it during the peak season. It would be great if there are one or two electronic tour guides left.



Here I have to talk about the cheap and good treasure teacher Pan we invited this time. How could my mother and I be so lucky to go out!! Just when I was at a loss as to how to explain the matter, I found Teacher Pan, who has 27 years of museum experience and specializes in leading parent-child groups. Nearly three hours of senior explanation, only 60 yuan per person!! Moreover, the activity was over, the headphones were returned and it was time to say goodbye, but the teacher did not mention the payment, this this this . . .



Just the price makes me want to kneel down. The big names on Taobao all charge more than 200 yuan per person, and there are 20 people in a group. Teacher Pan charges 60 yuan, and there are only 10 children. You can listen first and then pay. The lectures are easy to understand for children, in-depth and interesting. It is really worth it!



There are many national treasures in the Luoyang Museum. After Mr. Pan’s three-hour explanation, Duomi and I stayed for another two hours to check for omissions and re-scan the first and second floors. Therefore, Luoyang Museum is worth reserving most of your time.



The office closes at 5pm, so please plan your visit accordingly! Why do almost all the museums I have visited close at 5pm? It is too early. It would be better if it were 6pm...

There is little vacant land on the top of the northern Mang Mountain, which is filled with old tombs of people from Luoyang. Luoyang has gathered hundreds of thousands of ancient tombs of various types from various periods since the Neolithic period. The Luoyang Ancient Tomb Museum is located in the Northern Wei Imperial Tombs area of Mang Mountain.



How good is this museum? It is really dedicated to popularizing knowledge about tomb culture, starting from the Neolithic Age and ending at the Ming and Qing Dynasties. It is said that the entrance fee is free, but you cannot enter without an appointment in advance. It is full, and you need to pay 50 yuan per person for the tour guide fee to enter the museum!

There are still many things in the Tang Shendu Museum. Of course, it is recommended to visit it together with the nearby Erlitou Museum and Henan Provincial Museum.

You can go to the "Volunteer House" to invite volunteers to give explanations, and you can rent an explanation device in cash (cash is required, the deposit is 200 yuan per device, and the rental is 20 yuan). We didn't bring enough cash at the time, but fortunately the volunteers were very enthusiastic and the explanations were very detailed and wonderful, which made us feel like VIP service. We spent 3-4 hours visiting Luoyang Museum and were still not satisfied.

It's really good and worth a visit. The Eastern Capital of the Sui and Tang Dynasties and the Western Capital of the Song Dynasty are well-deserved.

There were a lot of people at the Luoyang Museum, and many adults brought their children. Although it is a great way to bring children to receive cultural enlightenment, the children were very noisy and many museums on the second floor were not open.

Luoyang Museum is the biggest surprise of the trip to Luoyang. I personally think that Luoyang Museum is comparable to Shaanxi History Museum, and some of its collections are even better than Shaanxi Museum (for example, there are many rare Xia Dynasty cultural relics). Because the Provincial Museum is still under renovation, the visiting experience is very ordinary.

From the outside, you can tell that this museum is definitely worth visiting - the big tripod standing tall symbolizes "establishing the capital in Luoyi". Tickets are available from 9:00 to 16:30 with ID cards. The museum is closed on Mondays. There are seven exhibition halls in total. The first floor is for general exhibitions and the second floor is for boutique exhibitions. So if you don't have enough time, it is recommended to visit the exhibition halls on the second floor first, especially the treasure hall.

When we visited, we happened to meet a group of volunteer guides who gave very detailed explanations. The exhibits were rich and distinctive, and the ones that impressed me the most were the white jade cup, the broken clay human face statue, the numerous tri-color, and the tall stone carvings that made you feel suffocated as soon as you entered the exhibition hall.
